ожидал большего от загадок. Совмещение метроидвании и паззла удалось. Но паззлы уж очень легкие. Да и исследование надоело где-то на 40%. И боевка плохая. Ни туда ни сюда. Жалко не могу что-то среднее поставить. последние часа 4 играл несколько дней. Хотя мог завершить их за 1. Скучно становится на середине игры. Игра неплохая, но и не хорошая.

Bought on sale, definitely worth it if you like games like Portal, i really enjoyed it, the only thing its fighting system i really hate this big guys with 200+ hp and you will have to fight them even after finising the story line but if you want 100% completed game you will have to deal with them, 10/10 game for me anyway

Supraland is an open world metroidvania puzzle game. It's set in a garden and you play as a small little red figurine. Stones and grass look huge. Redtown has ran out of water and it seems like the blue figurines have sabotaged your water pipeline. You now have to get to blue ville and talk to the blue king. That is easier said than done. Pathways are often blocked by something that requires a certain gear. The game leads you naturally to new gear and upgrades. you can also buy upgrades with coins you collect throughout the game. The game has also a bit of combat. There are collectibles that are blocked off in the beginning. You can later get those after obtaining more gear like in a metrovania. The game feels like an adventure. The world is varied and has a lot to offer. If you like open world puzzle adventure games with metrovania elements, then superland is for you.

A mix between Portal, Zelda, and Metroid? Oh yeah, this is DEFINITELY what it's advertised as and it is SO worth it for that alone.

I played this years ago, but I got bad motion sickness from it at the time and put it down. I played for maybe 1-2 hours, but didn't think it was that gripping; therefore, I put it more or less out of my mind. Then I saw it in the "Play Next" section of my library, and a sudden urge to play Supraland ignited within me. I booted it up and *mostly* finished it over the weekend.

And when leaving the game, I recognized that, while not a masterpiece, it has that same masterclass design that makes Portal, Zelda, and Metroid so special from a game-mechanics perspective.

The different gadgets and puzzles definitely harkened back to all three of the aforementioned games: I love how big the main puzzles were, because it gave me major Zelda vibes. The Metroidvania part with going around the world to access past places with new abilities was nailed excellently. Finally, the mechanics of the puzzles definitely had the same structure that a lot of puzzles in Portal had; though I might call it an in-between from this game and The Talos Principal.

The linearity is something I also greatly appreciated because it made the map more manageable and less confusing. I miss that from Zelda, actually; Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are great games, but they did lose their identity with throwing linearity out the window. Supraland, fortunately, kept a good leash on it, not as tight as a typical Metroidvania, but just the right amount that harkened me back to Ocarina of Time.

None of the puzzles were too difficult, yet challenging enough to get your noggin joggin'. I love the intuitive nature of the puzzle design as well, as if the way the game wants you to think progresses as it shows you how to use each tool. And the plethora of hidden chests and stuff to find is AWESOME; game designers who plan to make games with exploration need to take notes from this because filling your map to the tippy top with secrets and things to find, that actually HELP the player, is an essential part of good game design.

The tools and abilities, as well, felt fantastic to have and use, and it progressively changed the way you viewed the world you found yourself in; I'd say this is Supraland's biggest strength. It just feels fun and great to play.

But again, not a masterpiece.

For one, the graphics aren't great, even for 2019. I get it, it's indie, it's an older game, it's going for a toy-like look; all those things, very much valid, yet still persistently an issue nonetheless. Lots of the lighting in the game is really bad, and textures look muddy, even on higher-end settings; it would look fine on Xbox 360/PS3 or as an Xbox One/PS4 Launch title, but this game is coming out at the end of the lifetime for Xbox One/PS4, it could've been better. Also, the human boy? My goodness, it almost looks as bad as Andy from the first Toy Story, but at least Andy looks like he has a soul in that potato of a face.

Another thing that left me disappointed and also baffled, considering the Zelda/Metroid inspiration, was that there was only ONE BOSS. Like, what?! Come on! The campaign felt robbed of having climactic boss moments that would have elevated the different areas you went to, as well as giving the player more opportunities to use their arsenals in more unique ways.

And while we're on the subject of areas, the game, while having a very unique identity, could've benefited from areas that had maybe just a little more variety? Thing is, it's in a sandbox, so, yeah, expect lots of sand and rocky formations... But then if this is a sandbox, how in the Supra-HECK is there a volcano? It could've had more variety.

The soundtrack also kind of sucked, not gonna lie, I felt like a first person adventure game like this does NOT need the same OST vibes as Golf With Your Friends or generic DND music.

While I liked much of the humor, the story was also a bit meh and had blasphemous parts in it (Mostly at the very end). I'm a Christian and I want fellow Christian gamers to know there's some offensive material that makes light of the nature and character of the Christ. Is that a reason not to play? Maybe, obviously pray, consult the scriptures, and don't play if you feel convicted by the Holy Spirit; I personally concluded that I would not throw the baby out with the bathwater and just say "Yeah, the designers were wrong to put that in, but the game is fantastic otherwise.

Also, there is no excuse for this game to not be playable on the Steam Deck, yet here we are, in the year of our Lord, 2026, the game has raked in wads of cash and raked in rave reviews, yet David Münnich can't take a break from eating schnitzels while planning WW3 or whatever the heck Germans do and fix that? Just not right.

Still with all the gripes, I love this game, and I highly recommend it, sale or not. In the interest of saving money, Supraland does go on deep discounts during major sales, so your best time to grab it would be then. Supraland is SupraGOOD.

I got the game on sale for $5 but what a game! It definitely would have been worth the $20 in my opinion. The art style and gameplay is really fun and unique. The small character interactions are full of pop culture references and jokes that make me want to interact with each character just to see what they say. Flavor text is also really funny and changes throughout the game. You can get a solid 20 hours out of the base game just playing to play. If you are trying to speedrun you could do it quicker but that takes the fun out of the game.

Keep in mind that to get every achievement you will have to backtrack no matter what. The game gives you powers throughout the game that will be used in puzzles throughout the entire map. They do give tools to make backtracking less painful though.

This game and its sequel play mostly the same. Adorable world full of puzzle platforming and exploration. The game has a great sense of humor and the world design is tiny so everything is made of various normal items that are giant. Metroidvania style powerup and upgrades you get along the way make moving around the map very fun and the sheer silliness of this game will keep you entertained. It takes itself exactly as seriously as it should, which is not at all. That's part of what makes both these games great.

중간중간 설명안해준 기믹들이 필요한 퍼즐들이 있어서 조금 헤맸지만 계속 머리박다가 발견하는 재미가 있음

Грі критично бракує власної ідентичності. Кожен з аспектів непоганий (окрім філлєрної бойовки та майже відсутнього сюжету), але є набагато цікавіший аналог - головоломки більш розумні у Порталі, дослідження краще у Зельді, навіть сеттінг краще зроблений у Граундед. Також абсолютно відсутній стиль або якийсь арт-дайрекшн, часом відчувалось що модельки фрістайлили по ходу розробки.

Але головне порівняння повинно бути з Метройд Праймом, який показує головну проблему Супраленда - (погану) загадковість карти. Відсутність 3д мапи або хоча б точки положення гравця призводить до того що бектрекінг зводиться до безцільного блукання в спробах згадати як вибратись з локації. Така загадковість протікає крізь всю гру - навіть колектибилси в ендгеймі шукати боляче.

Зато пісня на титрах шикарна.

This whole game is a loop of 1. i'm too stupid to do this. 2. go to sleep. 3. it was that simple, how did i not think of it earlier.

A bit too much of backtracking to get everything imo but part of is is on me for going back to do the puzzle i knew, and then coming back with another new ability, and then coming back with another ability etc.. instead of waiting to the end to redo them

Supraland would be impressive if it was made by a full studio, but the fact that it was basically made by one person makes it insanely impressive. I didn't know much about the game when I went into it and it blew me away. It's filled to the brim with puzzles and secrets, it's just so much fun exploring the world.

I'll start with the negatives as it's a short list. The soundtrack was a bit buggy I think, sometimes there was just no music for a bit and overall some of the songs got a bit repetitive but I did play the game a lot since it really hooked me. And honestly I can't think of anything else to be honest.

The positives would be everything else, I would personally give it a 10 as I fully enjoyed my time and really can't think of anything bad about it, I genuinely didn't even realize I put so many hours into it it really flew by. I would definitely try it out if you like exploration in games and puzzles.
