The 3D movement feels liberating. You can dodge in any direction.
The tunnel runs are the best part. High speed dodging is intense.
The frantic counter-assault feeling is real. You really feel outnumbered.

Got this one when it was almost new (4 months after release, August of 2015).
And now, in 2025, I seen this game on sale.
0.55€, a 3D space shooter, nice screenshots etc.
"I might buy this!" - came in my mind.

And my excitement was fallen in 10 seconds below ground...
It's just a basic "shoot everything that moves" (There's an AUTO SHOOT OPTION!...) and sometimes you have to avoid/dodging things like WALL, non-destructivble mine things Or kill x amount of enemy or x survive x amount of time...
The story part? A few sentences that adds nothing.
And my hearing might be wrong, but I heard a sound effect from Tyrian / Demonstar, not sure which one actually... The purple shot.
It's repetitive, boring and feels mediocre.
I seen these kind of games in mid 2000's, but those were DEMOS and SHAREWARE games, not a full product! Feels like a better school project.

You can get this on sale for under $1. If you're expecting it to be like Star Fox you might be disappointed. Music is decent. Nice to just chill out and play for a bit. And some nostalgia graphics if you liked that era.
