The games concept is great, its really interesting. Most reviews talk about the game being dead, We had a wave of players a few times and I can see why its dead. From what it seems the remaining player base is why it died. The people are more toxic than a COD lobby. Ive never had fun on a game for it to be sucked out so badly from toxic people I mean its worse than siege.
And no its 100% not worth $20

pretty fun game when people are on, shoutout hbwr for actually hosting servers (and rats world is a fun server too). if you have the extra money or the option to get this game for free then do it. the developer did abandon it though and a lot of the time there are less than 10 players on one server, usually just gotta be on at the right time though.

Зашёл, всё настроил и нажимал на мультиплеер, а там все сервера пустые и на всех пинг выше сотни. Очень жаль что игра никак не обновляется, так ещё и стоит как крыло от самолёта.
I loved the hell out of this game. Its sad to say that but the games gone to ruin since its hay day, the stupid chud dev is working on slop games instead of his Magnum Opis.

Somebody really needs to make a spiritual successor to this. The game as it was at the time wasn't worth $20.00 to begin with but it made up for it by being a funny moment generator. This carried the experience way further than it should have. But this was the only thing the game had to really offer. Launching the game now, it's mostly just a barren wasteland of fizzled potiential. There is so much you can do with this idea that would not only add to the player driven emergent gameplay, but would make this so much more fun even without it. But I don't see the developer coming back to this one, especially since they're supposedly busy working on some other, not nearly as fun racing game? It sucks because I would pay triple the price of this game if someone actually had the want to make true on this game's vision and expand upon it.
Abandonware that was stretched along far, far too long. This games hayday was 2016/2017. There's beating a dead horse and then there's playing Sub Rosa in the current year. Do not buy this game.

Honestly was a fun game and idea while it was still popular, But the developer "Cryptic Sea" likes to make multiple games and then abandon them before they ever get finished to work on another game. No reason in buying this now, And even if the dev comes back for one update it'll still be years before the next one. Don't support this kind of practice.

Great game main developer gave up on game but many great sub deveolopers like HWBR, rounds is an amazing mode and newplayers should try HWBR rounds mode first to get a feel of the game, also dedicated discord with many active members
This game looks nothing like the videos or images. The video I understand is a trailer and not representative of gameplay, but boy oh boy does this game look and function so much worse than I could have imagined. I was planning on buying this game for myself and a few friends after seeing a knockoff on Roblox and thinking it looked fun, but this game is NOT worth $5, much less the $20 asking price. If this game was free, I would still be hard pressed to play it because of the issued with frame rate and graphics I experienced for the five minutes I owned the game.
A great concept with no vision to see the end. Apparently there's some drama around the developer of this game, that I am unaware of. But at this point this game isn't coming out, or the dev's at least shown no signs of finishing it. So please don't buy it! Don't waste your money, though someday I hope a game like this does get made.

Dev abandoned the game and tried blackmailing the community into giving his new (horribly boring) racing game, Stunt Derby, good reviews if we wanted this game to get more updates. Not cool. Especially when that game still hasn't released and it seems like this dev abandoned game development as a whole.

Unfortunately i cant recommend simply because there is no players...everything else about this game is magical.
This game was amazing, sadly the dev got bored or something and refuses to pass it on to someone who cares. It requires players to actually function properly and without new/finished content there's no player base and with no player base there is no content.

Such wasted potential. I loved this game and watched the Devolver trailer live and really wanted to see where it would go. Now the daily peak is 3 players because the game was completely abandoned after getting a publisher. I sometimes explore my body with my tongue. I want this game to come back but the developer has to come back first. I tried the racing game that the dev is currently making and I can't believe he abandoned Sub Rosa to make possibly the worst racing game I have ever played.
Actually very sad this game has been abandoned. Was one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time. Never found another game that scratches this itch.

Being dead honest, make the game free. There is a game on Roblox Called No Big Deal that is inspired on Sub Rosa, and there is a lot of traction to it already, this means that people have interests in games like this.
The game is dead, i paid 60 bucks for this game and i can't even play it because no one is playing. Making this game free with things that can be bought would totally make this game revive and get as much attention than it ever had.
I saw this game 5 years ago in a youtube channel called Cazum 8, since i was a kid i wanted to play it, but now that i got the game and it's totally dead, it feels completely depressing.
What is more depressing is knowing that i paid 60 bucks for this, i'm gonna write this and no one from the development team will care. I'm just gonna get my money back, thousands have complained how the game is abbandoned, i'll just grab my money back and spend it on a game that the developers care about.

Insane amounts of fun and options. could've rivaled most games of its time and still stood today. now its abandoned and worthless, lobbies aren't the same and some are full of exploiters. If the game ever gets updated ((As of writing this the last update was in 2021 while it is now 2025)) then it would be a steal.

This Game was one of my favourite games to play but over time i noticed less and less severs and players i just couldn't another game to scratch that itch when i first played this game.The first time i played this game i picked a world sever and joined.Within 2 mins of me playing i saw some guy in a suit get given a white disk.I walked up to him and asked what he was doing, he said terrorism then proceeded to walk into the gun store and blow up. that was my introduction to sub rosa
