it's a neat idea, but there's weird issues. At one point, I had 25 kids waiting to grow up, and 2 adults. The adults would die of thirst constantly. I made a new game and focused solely on making beer, and for some reason, they would all only go to 1 or 2 taverns, completely ignoring the rest. I'd have 10 taverns, spread out, full coverage, and they would all still only go to the latest one built, doesnt make any sense. Sitting and waiting for the children to grow up, to put into taverns, and then get married, make more children, to grow up, to put into taverns, just for them to be ignored and die anyways. basic mechanic is broken
Es ist eigentlich unfair, nachdem ich viele Stunden Spaß mit dem Spiel hatte, es negativ zu bewerten. Immerhin hatte ich nur einen Absturz in 160h, das ist in Ordnung. Auch sonst zumindest am Anfang kaum Probleme. Die Atmosphäre und Grafik sind super. Aber! Ja, jetzt kommt das Aber. Insgesamt hat man das Gefühl, das Spiel hat den Early Access nie verlassen. Z. T. noch Platzhalter auch im Englischen, die deutsche Übersetzung nur teilweise. Dazu solche Fehler wie Verhütung statt Verhüttung, das ist für Muttersprachler schon sehr traurig. Die Statistik läßt zu wünschen übrig, an vielen Stellen wären Erklärungen, Anzeigen und Beschreibungen nützlich. Die Ehepartner gar werden falsch angezeigt, die Zwerge sind alle mit sich selbst verheiratet. Ich schließe mich vielen frühen Bewertungen an, das Spiel hat viel Potential und ergänze, das leider nicht ausgeschöpft wurde. Dazu viele weitere Fehler vom nicht funktionierenden Seedeintrag bis zu Problemen nach einem Neustart eines gespeicherten Spiels usw. Und dazu wird das Spiel spätestens ab 400 Zwergen langsam und ruckelt nervend, so daß es nicht mehr spielbar ist. Ich habe es in einem Spiel bis auf knapp 500 Zwerge gebracht, die dann aber nicht nachvollziehbar verdurstet sind. Man hat das Gefühl, die Entwickler hatten einfach keine Lust mehr. Sehr schade.

Das Spielprinzip ist einfach und es scheint mir eher ein Spiel für einen ruhigen Abend zu sein. Das Ausbauen wird im ersten Moment recht komplex wirken, aber dies legt sich auch wieder. Für Spieler die Aufbauspiele mögen und die wenig auf Story wert legen scheint das ein gutes Spiel zu sein. Zusätzlich sollte man halt die Art des Spiels mögen. Ich mag solche reinen Aufbauspiele sehr. Es ist ein witzig gestaltetes Spiel, das Laune macht, da man selbst frei entscheidet, wie die Kolonie aussehen soll, wie tief oder wie weit man buddelt. Gleichzeitig muss man strategisch denken: wie erreiche ich die Ressourcen am besten, wie schaffe ich am besten Platz für die großen Gebäude und ist das Haus noch im Radius der Taverne? Die Zwerge haben Bedürfnisse, die man nicht außer Acht lassen darf, denn unzufriedene Arbeiter arbeiten auch wie unzufriedene Arbeiter.

In my last game, the dwarves refused to pick up the stone from the ground. I was running out of stone. My dwarves were walking around doing nothing but digging. BUT I COULDN'T ASK THEM TO COLLECT THAT DAMNED STONE WHICH WAS EVERYWHERE!
There are also roleplay issues. The fantasy dwarf normally lives in a society where bloodline is important. But in the game the last name is randomly determined between the husband and his wife (not to mention the possibility of consanguineous marriages), which fundamentally harms the roleplay.

Il y a aussi des problèmes de roleplay. Le nain de fantasy vit normalement dans une société où la lignée est importante. Mais dans le jeu le nom de famille est aléatoirement déterminé entre le mari et sa femme (sans parler de la possibilité des mariages consanguins), ce qui nuit fondamentalement au roleplay.
Colony builders have become my passion in gaming in the past few years. I own many of them, new and old, including
favourites such as Children of the Nile, Prison Architect, Oxygen Not Included, Dawn of Man, and Songs of Syx. I skipped over this title a few years back, mainly because of the mixed reviews and just lack of media. Having recently bought it and binge playing it for 50+ hours I think I can now give a detailed and qualified review.
The first thing that impressed me was the amount of content it has. Many resources of different kinds, many structures of varying purposes, and lots of decor to furnish your underworld home with. Also a massive research tree that includes several dozen specialisations, too many to list. Procedural generated maps makes for a new game every time, with several types of biomes with their own unique resources and creatures.
As you build out you'll discover dungeons and creatures that will obstruct and distract your Dwarves, and you'll have to develop the tools to manage this with weapons, armour, traps, gates, and guns (late game). You'll have to protect the younglings of the colony as some creatures will blitz through to get them, Its a nice break from routine, and quite entertaining to manage lighting, exits and entrances.
Supply chains, stock, pop happiness and economy function are all present. Although there is no tax ledger, the game has indicators to inform you of how things are going. Death spiral is a real thing here too, and the colony function is realistic in the theme of the game. Population versus stock must be managed. Beer for example is a key resource, like water is to humans. Without it Dwarves will die. Food here is a contemporary luxury, but beer is life.
Sounds, music and graphics are good, while the artwork is very well done. I think they accurately depicted the traditional fantasy Dwarven decor with large stone works of different styles and function. Makes for great atmosphere, especially with the lighting effects and water falls.
Night and day cycle, along with seasons, but their function is not clear. For example I'm sure I can grow wheat in the winter, and harvest it several times. Minor nit pick, as it doesn't seem to effect game play much. Maybe monsters are more active at night?
Which brings to the part where we discuss the negative feedback in so many reviews. I don't really understand whats going on here. Yes, the tutorial is quite vague, and information is lacking. Things are not explained well or at any depth really, and I had to learn most of the game by trial and error. The level of complexity in this game is deep and the learning curve is sharp, but does that make it a bad game? In my book more is better, bring it on.
The game Oxygen Not Included suffers the same effect almost exactly. Actually they are very similar in several ways these two, but it does not get any negative reviews. I have unlocked many of the games achievements, and all them reveal only 1 or 2 percent of players have achieved them. Its the same with ONI.
If your're OK with figuring out a game as you play, live and learn by experience, you will enjoy this game. If you need step by step instructions or have impaired thinking skills, you will not enjoy this.
The game appears complete, so development is done as far as I'm concerned. No Paradox syndrome here, that's a good thing. Not gonna buy 50 DLCs. The update log on this game goes back years, and there is maybe a hundred updates, I didn't count. I haven't experienced any bugs or stability issues in the 50+ hours I've played, so I have to conclude these reviews are from a previous game version.
Its cheap as sin, and there is even a demo. No reason why every colony builder fan shouldn't own this awesome game.
Ich hatte angenommen, das dieses Spiel ähnlich wie "Craft the World" ist.
Theoretisch ist es das auch-jedoch nervt es mich nur noch- weil es für mich nicht spielbar ist.
Gestern installiert und gefühlt alle 5 Minuten neu angefangen.
Kaum hatte ich gerade halbwegs das wichtigste in der Kolonie (Essen und Trinken, sowie den Zimmermann), werden die Zwerge JEDESMAL von Krankheiten heimgesucht, die die gesamte Kolonie ausrottet.
Dachte ich:"Gut! Muss ich halt schnell diese Heilerhütte erforschen!" - Pustekuchen.
2 x vorzeitig geschafft, aber dann kommen zeitgleich auch noch "böse Monster" aus den Dungeons, während meine Zwerge durch "Glitzerstaub-Krankheiten" sowieso schon laufend HP verlieren.
Das Spiel habe ich auf "EINFACH" gestellt.
Klar soll es eine kleine Herausforderung sein, aber so macht es keinen Spaß.
Haben die Zwerge genug zu Trinken, während des heißen Sommers, rafft sie das Glitzerzeug und die Monster hin.
Dazu kommen dann noch andere Krankheiten, die die Zwerge lahmlegt und nur alle jubeljahre mal etwas machen lässt.
Ich finds elend und habs jetzt ausgemacht. Keine Lust mehr-ist zumindest nicht meins.

Игра в целом неплоха. Была... После одного из последних обновлений игра стала подтормаживать уже на ранних этапах развития. Т.е. раньше я могла построить колонию в 200-300 гномов без проблем, то сейчас приближаясь к 100 начинаются жесткие просадки FPS.
Разработчики давно не отвечают, обновлений тоже уже давно не было.
Часть достижений не работают.
Игру можно посчитать полумертвой.

So, this game has a ton of potential. My biggest problem with the current version is the lack of instructions. I get to the point where all of my dwarves get sick and don't know what to do. Am I just supposed to live with it, or should I have been pushing for the quack barrel this whole time? I don't need my hand held, but a help section would be great for times when I get stuck, especially since the wiki is pretty bare bones.
I am having a blast with this, however, and intend to work through it until I figure things out

Eigentlich ein gutes Spiel, wenn ein paar nervige Bugs nicht wären... Z.B fallen Zwerge durch Brücken und sind dann stuck -> sterben (falls man es nicht bemerkt und versucht sie zu retten), den Lift verstehe ich nicht und die Map ist rießig... aber es gibt keine schnellen Transportmöglichkeiten.... insgesamt etwas enttäuscht - gibt bessere.

The logistics cycle is inefficient, the tutorial is insufficient for learning how to keep your colony going and finally the camera controls are unwieldy and limited.
It also hasn't been updated since the end of 2021.
i ignored all the negative reviews and got this game anyway but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this game has the ai of a potato.
actually it has NO ai unless u mean artificial idiots , those it has plenty.
if the stupid disease doesnt kill off my colony ( which btw u cant do ♥♥♥♥ about at the start (because u have to research the quack barrel and when u have it it needs bones or eyes which are from the ghouls /trolls) , the ugly ghouls/trolls do. because the ai is non excistent . ppl getting killed while they stand around doing nothing. militaire is standing 2 block away or walking past enemies to get a drink or go to sleep even when it is they who are getting attacked. the research tree is fun and should be about a choice but if u dont research the quack barrel first u might aswell delete the save cause the ilness/desease will kill everything.
and i know u need a dishonered dwarf at the start but by the time it gets the first rat , several ppl are sick allready. this whole disease system sucks , stack the retarded ai on top of it and u get a nice looking frustating game

Firstly, the game concept is great. The idea that you can build a massively complex dwarven city appealed to me instantly, fan of dwarves as I am, so of course I bought this game despite of all the negative/mixed reviews. Within the first two hours I had started the game I was already addicted to it. It is a diamond, no doubt - sadly, a very rough diamond.
Though the developers have been actively fixing bugs and improving things generally, not all the issues have been taken care of. I haven't encountered any game-breaking bugs, but the remaining ones have still caused me a lot of frustration. I managed to build a city of 96 dwarves, and though it was not perfectly designed what with the storage vaults and pathways, I was still very happy with it, and I planned to expand it even more. Then I noticed the moles in my mole farms were constantly afflicted with Beerserker rage, spreading it to the citizens as well, so I simply wrecked the mole farms and build them again. This worked for a while, but then I could not get rid of the sick moles anymore - destroying the mole farms didn't make the moles disappear like it used to. There is no way to cure the farm animals, none that I know of, so I thought well heck, I just confine the moles in an empty area where they can't escape from, and relocate the mole farms to somewhere else where hopefully they would not fall sick again. I built a new mole farm, chose a worker for it, but for some reason the moles no longer grew their furs, so I got no mole furs (except buying from the travelling merchant). At this point I just decided to give up and quit since I had no motivation to build a new city from scratch.
Summarized, this game isn't quite finished yet as it still needs polishing up and the bugs fixed. The tutorial could also be a lot more informative as I feel that many essential things were left unmentioned (eg. if you want your colony's population to grow, build at least ONE more house in addition to the five the game suggests - this wasn't obvious to me at the start, and I spent many minutes just wondering how to get more dwarves). Even so, I still would recommend this game because it has all the potential to be a success.

Das Spiel braucht vermutlich noch min. 2 Jahre Entwicklung und Patches bis es vollständiger wird und Spaß macht.
Ich verliere zu schnell den Überblick wenn die Kolonie mal größer wird.
Schön dass man einen Überblick über seine Zwerge in einer Liste behalten kann, aber warum gibt s nicht das gleiche für Gebäude?
Das Spiel gehört sie der Sorte, die es schaffen, mich in den ersten Augenblicken nicht abzuholen:
Grundsätzlich geht es darum, dass wir für Zwerge eine Siedlung in den Berg treiben müssen, um sie dort arbeiten, leben und wuseln zu lassen. Das Spiel beginnt mit einem Tutorial: So navigiert man, jetzt bitte Leitern bauen, jetzt bitte eine Taverne bauen, jetzt bitte Häuser bauen, jetzt könnt seid ihr auf euch allein gestellt. Das Tutorial zeigt nur, wo man klicken muss, um die Aktion auszuführen. Achso, die Häuser brauchen auf eine bestimmte Weise Platz? Und das Haus kann nicht als Etage über der Taverne dienen? Äh... brauche ich jetzt sowas wie einen Wirt? Was kommt dann? Eine etwas tiefere Einführung erwarte ich schon.
Darüber hinaus sind die Animationen zwar relativ witzig-süß, aber sie erinnern mich vom Stil stark an "hero-wars", das ja eine ziemliche billige Angelegenheit zum Abzocken ist und schlicht Zeit totschlagen ist. Und so wirkt Stonedeep auch: Billig. Die Zwerge haben wenige Animationen, wenn sie "graben" und "bauen" stehen sie einfach in der Gegend und führen immer die gleiche Schwing-Bewegung aus, was sehr unnatürlich wirkt.
Naja, was soll ich mehr schreiben? Das Spiel hat mich ja keine halbe Stunde abgeholt.
FAZIT:
Das Spiel hat bei mir ganz schnell den Eindruck hinterlassen: "Lass uns mal schnell ein knuffiges Standard-Bau-Gedöns auf den Markt schmeißen, knuffig genug, dass schon ein paar Leute der Bilder wegen kaufen". Und zugegeben, billig war es auch, aber Zeit möchte ich dafür nicht auch noch aufwenden.

This game has the potential to be very good but the lack of polish holds it back. mostly it works very well but at times The AI of the dwarves can lead to them doing incredibly stupid things like just standing in one place while spears are thrown at them or getting stuck in a loop of collecting and then dropping resources. It also badly needs better player assist when you are learning. e.g you are warned that your buildings need repair but there is no mention of how to repair them. the answer is simple but you have to go and find it. inventory management for your gathered resources has been made complicated with multiple separate vaults for no clear reason. yes it can be optimised and made to work but.. why? It has an overall feel of a game that should be more fun than it actually is. however it does draw you in and make you overlook it shortcomings. overall i have mixed feelings about this game but i keep coming back to it. if i could i would give it a neutral review but i can't so i'll go with positive because it does do a lot of things right
This has some of the issues typical of a city-builder game. As a long-time city builder player (20+ years), I see the brilliance and the flaws in this design readily. I can imagine getting a good 40 to 60 hours of gameplay out of this, for sure. The tutorial needs work, the displays badly could use a redesign, could use more sophisticated audio settings, but overall concept/graphics/execution is great. The game plays like a dynamic puzzle, as it should, and I'm thoroughly engrossed by it. My husband is also loving it and he isn't even usually that into city-builder games.

It's not a very good game imo. The UI stretches out badly on my ultrawide, and the gameplay is really slow with poor QoL features. I don't think i'll ever get back to playing more of this, would request a refund but it was only like 4EU. There's many better Colony Sims out there to play today.

I found many issues late game. I stopped playing when consumption become greater then production. Need more workers to make and serve booze. More workers consume more booze. Get more workers to create and serve booze... The other end was attempt to keep steel bar production at a reasonable rate. Once I got a handle on that the workers refused to finish upgrades on the houses. Even if the house required 1 steel bar to complete...
The game appears to be in an early alpha stage and feels totally unfinished.
In the English version, there are missing translation strings. The whole translation is bad.
There is also a lack of thorough explanation of the game mechanics, and the tutorial is not particularly helpful.

This game I enjoy, despite some little flaws in the game. Lots to do and wonder how they can mine in mid air lol. This game seems to be more of a casual builder game which can be nice. It does take a few moments to get you head around how to play. What beats dwarfs working underground? Just watch out for those maggots! Hopefully this game will be better improved to play in the future.
Stonedeep deserves its mixed review. I really like the concept, and I can see a fun game here, but the game is mired with issues that prevent it from being fun.
So starting with the gameplay I know that I am a sucker for simulation and management games and liked the idea of dwarves just digging a huge city underground. But there were a lot of issues in how the game actually played. First off when I read reviews before my playthrough I saw that there were issues with the AI, but those were all early access reviews and I thought that they had probably been ironed out because of the recent full release. I can tell you though they have not. This is pretty disappointing to see as it was a frequent enough complaint in early access that I would have hoped it would have been remedied before being released. This was easily the most problematic issue with this game though, things are done very inefficiently, the prioritization option does not work at all from my experience, soldiers should be patrolling or something while they are inactive just stand around at the tavern (though perhaps that is realistic), and it felt like other dwarves were just standing around a lot. This is particularly disappointing because the game feels less lively because I found that Dwarves just stand in front of the tavern a lot, yeah they are doing their task I guess, the numbers are going up, but it would be nice to see more of my tunnels utilized it makes my mines feel dead. I also found the pace to be really slow, in my 2.6 hours of gameplay I felt that I had made so little progress; the AI is mismanaged so everything builds slower, research takes forever and so I do not feel like I progressed much there either, the population takes forever to grow so I found myself waiting for children to grow up a whole lot, and it feels like increasing the speed of the game is minimally helpful it really does need to be faster. I also found that the tax money was abysmal making things slower as well I was constantly researching and found that my money drained very quickly with my 2 research stations and it halted ALL of that, that was so annoying Also the tutorial is short, that is often good, but in my playthrough, I found that I needed more information (like where the hell paperwork was, managing happiness, the prioritization system (which should work), research system, etc. You make it seem like the game is mostly self-explanatory, it really isn’t, especially with some of the UI issues. And if my issues are caused by mismanagement then you need a better tutorial, advisor systems like other games (which would perhaps be a better way to do a tutorial anyways the huge popups are kind of annoying).
The UI was lackluster. The top bar was so crowded, there are too many resources there and not enough space this is especially odd because they have an open spot between the 2 parts for some reason… just create a line and add a divide if you want to separate them don’t create a camera notch spot it is just weird. That being said that does not really fix the issue, possible solutions 1. Allow me to choose what goes on the bar 2. Put only crucial resources up there (money, stone, wood, clay, and food would have sufficed for me), and create a separate menu for other resources. 3. Categorize them tighter (construction, food/drink, luxury, etc.) and create sub-menus. The left sidebar of all the events should be removed, create popups, and don’t take up so much screen real-estate with something so large and unnecessary. On a similar note, marriage requests should have been over there as well maybe I am dumb or blind, but at first, I did not realize that they were there at first and with no more notes than “complete paperwork” I was initially confused and thought I needed the throne room first so focused on that instead. Also, the scroll wheel messes with the top bar so I found that sometimes my resources would not be there and had to mess with them, nothing more than a nuisance, but still. Also if you do not want a tutorial, create a guide in the menu to help people.
With the major issues out of the way I would like to say that the music was fine, but way too limited. I felt like I listened to the same 4 songs over and over again and that eventually wore on me.
I am not a fan of the art either but it doesn’t negatively impact the experience. The 2.5D is a little odd, and the background and blocks look is okay, but slightly off of the rest of the art style, but above all, I don’t like how the dwarves look and move (including that menu dwarf). The buildings are pretty good looking though.
The controls were good except for that scrolling issue mentioned earlier, but I do wish I could zoom out more.
I also want to address, is 2.6 hours enough for this game? Yes, I wanted to give up an hour in because it was boring and slow, but I stuck with it more than many have/would normally. I know I have stuck around longer because I have achievements that only 1% of players have and even the easiest 2 only have 2.9% and 2.2%. If you can’t grip people they will never get to where I got, so I think it suffices. And if the numbers are negatively affected by the early access people not returning I think that it is still fair, first impressions are key and this game has not made great ones now or in the past.
Overall this game is not in a state where I can recommend it, which is quite disappointing. I see a lot of potential in this game, it is not going to become Rimworld or Cities Skylines, but honestly, that is unrealistic anyway, but it could be a good simulation game in its own right, but it isn’t.
This is the first game I was given through the curator program and was really excited to finally get to do a review of a game for a developer. Obviously, they did not have to do that especially because of my small follower base, and I am grateful for this opportunity. If they would like me to review this game again that is great and I would love to, but it would have to be after several major patches I cannot play this every time they have a patch. Maybe if it is much improved this time next year I will give it another try. Until then I cannot give it a positive review.
Mir macht dieses Spiel echt Spaß. Man erstellt eine Zwergen-Kolonie, die hauptsächlich im Untergrund lebt. Dort baut man ihnen Häuser, in denen sie schlafen, eine Taverne, in der sie Bier trinken, damit sie nicht durstig werden; man lässt die Bier saufenden Zwerge ordentlich buddeln, damit sie so Ressourcen sammeln, die sie brauchen um Häuser, Forschungszentren, Brauereien uvm. zu bauen.

My first impression was very positive, the busy bustle of the dwarves reminds me a lot of the Settlers III, a game that I liked much and played for a long time.
However, this positive impression soon fades, because after a short time the game reveals considerable flaws in many aspects and I suspect that marketing department has given the go for the publication again before the (software) development had completed its work.
The following points struck me as particularly uncomfortable:
- the translations are incomplete (I estimate that at least 10% of the texts are not localized)
- the sound doesn't work, only the music, but luckily it can at least be turned off ;-)
- the tutorial can be described only as spartan and only conveys the simplest basics
- neither inline nor online documentation / help available
- therefore, for example, the meaning of the popups, which can often be seen on the buildings or the figures, is more or less unclear
- the last three points cause you to try around blindly in many places, which IMHO clearly tarnishes the fun of the game
- you have no real overview of the flow of money
- the sliders in the trading dialog for the purchase / sales quantities cannot be adjusted with the mouse wheel
- the idea of presenting research as star constellations is quite nice, but unfortunately also very confusing - and many of the texts are again not translated -, because in order to be able to read the goals (and the associated costs), I have to zoom in so much that I can no longer see the requirements / the way to get there
- the arrangement of the info bars (at the top of the screen) for the various goods is done without a recognizable system for me, small example - chemicals follow juices, then clockwork parts, followed by harvest. Well, you can do it like that but you don't have to ;-) Here a stronger grouping would give a much better overview
In addition, in large parts of the game I have the feeling that the dwarves live on Ferenginar ;-) because it rains almost all the time, but I would see that as a matter of taste.
All in all a game that, if these points are (hopefully) turned off, could use its existing potential. Until then, however, I can at best give 2 1/2 out of 5 stars, that's why there is only - thanks to the flop or top principle of the ratings on Steam - a thumbs down, which is actually a shame, because I think more would be possible.

Nearly half a year has passed since the last minor patch - the further development of the game was apparently stopped
Needs some work on bugs, mechanics, and missing materials.
I recommend this game to people who have patience working with incomplete builds and like a challenge. Otherwise I would recommend waiting until some more kinks are worked out. The game has a lot promise. I've enjoyed and will continue to enjoy paying it. Below I've put some more detailed notes on challenges I've encountered.
After five restarts I've managed to create a fairly stable colony of over 100 dwarfs that I believe can grow further as long as I can get the dwarfs to live in a dwelling within a reasonable distance to their assigned job. Spreading out clusters of dwelling cells centered around their respective taverns works fairly well but the dwarf AI doesn't always pick the closest dwelling to live in and when I try to choose specific dwellings I want them to live in they reassign themselves to another dwelling. This means I have the occasional dwarf dying of thirst because their job is too far from the dwelling they chose to live in despite the fact I have empty dwellings available that are much closer to their job.
Finding ways to work around the AI quirks and dwarfs' and enemies' pathing has been two of the biggest challenges.
The bonfires that prevent enemy spawns in the living and work areas have to be placed within 7 spaces of each other to be 100% effective which means it is necessary to overlap the building that is used to maintain the bonfires in order to get the dwarfs that light them to keep up with bonfire maintenance. The fireflies that are supposed to show up some where near the mushrooms aren't there so I'm unable to craft the firefly lanterns that would replace these troublesome and labor intensive bonfires. Later in the game I am able to find the fireflies in the shop. I tried to have more warriors to kill enemies instead of stopping the spawns in so many places but then all the young dwarfs get sick and start dying before they can reproduce, creating a downward spiral of decreasing colony population that is impossible to recover from (This happened in my second colony).
Some of the achievements seem to be broken. For example: my dwarfs have drank far more than 1,000 beers in a single colony but my achievements don't even show that they've drank 100. The same problem with crops planted.
The dungeon gates have a button that is supposed to be able to turn spawns on or off but it doesn't work. The enemies tunnel wherever they want, (usually into the center of my dwarfs' living cells where my children are hanging out) despite the fact I've dug out a path for the enemies to follow. As a result setting up gauntlets and sentry towers for the dungeon spawns is pointless more than half the time. The spike traps and pounding traps stop working some times even though their durability is fine. Destroying them and remaking them works some times but is very costly in materials. With only a few dungeons active enemy spawns are manageable but when the number of active dungeons gets over 10 my dwarfs start dying before I can heal them.

Игровой процесс представляет собой смесь градостроительства, ресурс-менеджмента и выживания в сеттинге непрямого управления гномами.
Устанавливаем сложность игры, генерируем мир и приключение начинается.
Игровая локация создаётся достаточно большая, но всё-таки конечная. Есть ограничения по бокам, а внизу бушует лава.
В начале нам предлагается построить стартовое здание и от него будем углубляться в толщу земли. Управление юнитами непрямое. Это значит, что игрок только даёт задания, а гномы по своему разумению выполняют их.
Копаем тоннели, строим лестницы, планируем будущее размещение построек. По сути, мы создаём внутренние подземные пространства под здания и за добытые (или имеющиеся - на старте неплохо их дают) ресурсы ставим их.
Видов построек очень большое количество, какие-то - чисто функциональные, а некоторые несут декоративный эффект (насколько понял, иногда гномам нужно именно это).
Основными путями коммуникации при вертикальном перемещении являются лестницы. Хотя на парочку блоков вверх наши юниты могут и так взобраться. Частенько они заигрываются в исследованиях и куда-нибудь падают - прямого управления-то нет.
Самыми насущными зданиями начального периода являются жилища и таверна. В дальнейшем, для поддержания счастья, нужно будет строить все более сложные досуговые увеселения типа парикмахерской или красивых декораций.
В игре просто огромное количество ресурсов. Какие-то добываются путём рытья недр, а некоторые производятся в соответствующих зданиях. Собранные материалы складируются в хранилища.
При наведении курсора на любую клетку поверхности мы можем прочитать её описание и сделать соответствующий вывод - копать это или пока сосредоточиться на чём-то другом.
Имеется титаническое по необходимости траты времени и золота дерево исследований. Конечно, в будущем можно поставить больше лабораторий, но когда это еще будет... Исследования вести в любом случае придётся, так как только тут открываются возможности строить новые виды зданий и прочие плюшки.
Игра очень неспешная. Даже на максимальной скорости прокрутки, например, исследования тянутся крайне медленно. Количество гномов также растет не быстро. Они еще должны сначала пожениться и только потом может быть что-то у них сладится в плане новых рабочих, поэтому тех, которые есть, надо холить и лелеять.
Боевую часть практически не видел. Время от времени в туннелях появляются враждебно настроенные личинки. Пока только с ними мои гномы дрались. Но вообще написано о монстрах, которые могут серьёзнее атаковать наших подземных жителей. Военных построек много, но все мои бойцы просто слонялись пока без дела.
По мере течения времени в игре происходит смена времени года. Какие-то из них приятнее, какие-то несут риски для гномов. Зимой они замерзают, а от сезонных землетрясений могут получить урон.
Рассмотрим плюсы и минусы игры, подведем итоги.

+ Простенькая, но приятная графика.
+ Хорошее музыкальное и звуковое сопровождение.
+ Большие генерируемые локации. Есть где развернуться.
+ Много видов ресурсов, как добываемых, так и производимых.
+ Хорошие производственные цепочки.
+ Большое количество видов полезных зданий. Хорошие возможности для создания уникальной архитектуры своего города гномов.
+ Отличное, разветвленное дерево исследований.
+ Имеется частичная русская локализация текста.
[h1] ТО, ЧТО МОЖЕТ БЫТЬ КАК ПЛЮСОМ ТАК И МИНУСОМ: [/h1]
+- Очень всё медленно происходит. Исследования надо ждать минут по 20 на ускоренной промотке времени и это только начало. Медленно идет прибавка населения и, соответственно, видов выполняемых работ. Чистый минус поставить не могу, ведь есть люди, которые никуда не спешат и такой ритм игры может нравиться.

- Корявость русской локализации. Постоянно вылезают куски кода, которые игроку не нужны и портят атмосферу погружения.

Некоторые моменты в игре реализованы неплохо, а что-то оставляет желать лучшего. В целом впечатления скорее хорошие, так как плюсов, на мой взгляд, больше чем минусов. Хотелось бы большей динамичности происходящего, больше угроз, исходящих из мира.

Cooles Aufbauspiel mit charmantem "Wuselfaktor"
Man braucht 1-2 Stunden um reinzukommen, wird dann aber mit einer kleinen und phantasievollen Welt belohnt, in der man immer wieder schöne Gimmicks entdeckt.
Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Gerade für den Preis absolut lohnenswert!
I love games like this, however this one is just too unfinished to be enjoyable. There is an overall lack of documentation and tooltips that leaves the player at loss when trying to figure out why things are not working and how to fix them. The AI also seems a bit wonky with workers ignoring essential materials needed to finish active construction and leaving them laying on the ground for ages while you wait and hope for a vendor. Other issues such as upgrades not listing costs or effect, rampant disease with little information on how to control it, and a super detailed research system with no documentation on how it actually works leaves the player more frustrated than fulfilled, Production balance also seems off with farming buildings producing tons of resources but requiring 3 or 4 processing buildings to keep up with the supply while storage backs up and caps out with no way to delete excess materials aside from hoping the vendor wants to buy what you are selling. I tried to like it, but I guess I will check back in 6 months or a year to see if it has some polish.

If you like building games, this indie game is definitely something you should check out. Solid and fun gameplay and very good graphics. Most of the content is something you have already seen in other building games: You build housing, "citizens" can marry, birth children, you fulfill their needs with products based on production chains, you protect them from danger and so on. But with being able to dig deep into the earth on a huge map, this one has a very unique experience.
I was sceptical before buying it, because of those comments about bugs in the game, but the dev's certainly worked hard. The game still has minor rough edges, like typos or a not so clean UI at some places, but I hadn't experienced major bugs in my current playtime. This game is still in early access, so I'm looking forward what these (only) two developers will offer in the future!

Das spiel hat Schneid, Witz und tiefe! Ein ausgeklügeltes System voller Wandlungsfähigkeit, Nicht nur für den Kopf sondern auch fürs Auge eine permanente "Anpassung" des Spieles im Spiel. Die Entscheidungsfreiheit und Vielfalt gehört gelobt, So viel arbeit und Leidenschaft von nur 2 Personen! ich bin beeindruckt.
Schade das so viele Leute direkt am anfangs des" early accesses" so schlechte Rezessionen gegeben haben...

Le jeu est très intéressant mais il est vraiment bugger au niveau des sauvergardes. Tout les bâtiment apparaissent vide. Je peux pas rajouter mais pourtant ils travaillent. Le jeu considère qu'il n'y a plus d'enfant, de travailleur alors qu'avant la sauvegarde j'avais tout ça. Une mise à jour s'impose. Merci

The game, however promising, keeps bugging over and over again. Dwarves stops moving, stops eating and drinking, fall sick... And since they can't move, they all die. Goblin waves spawn but stay idle.
I had hopes for you Stonekeep, you looked promising... But this is a big dissapointment.
Do not buy this game early-acces, this isn't worth it.
Ist zwar ein sehr interessantes Spiel mit viel Potenzial aber bis Heute läuft das Spiel nicht rund, es wird einem einfach nichts erklärt, man verbringt mehr Zeit mit raus finden wie das oder jenes funktioniert als man das Spiel selbst spielt.
Man wünscht sich bisschen mehr Informationen und etwas mehr Möglichkeiten im Spiel

Игра заброшена ещё в далёком 2021 году с огромными игровыми ошибками и недоделками, которые не дают полноценно играть и развиваться. Не понимаю почему такие игры до сих пор находятся тут для продажи .
Очень сырой продукт. Куча багов, как по локализации так и по геймплею.

Super Cooles Spiel, frisch gekauft und direkt schon 4h drin verbracht, klar fehlt noch Content aber ist ja Auch Early Access, außerdem wird da Täglich an Verbesserungen gearbeitet! Also zusammengefasst wenn man ein Spiel zum Zeitvertreib sucht und dabei Spaß an Aufbauspielen hat ist man hier richtig. Von mir aus eine Klare Kauf empfehlung ;)

ну скажу прямо в игре задумка огонь жанр ну на любителя ( кому craft the world и подобное заходит то эта залетит) на момент написания обзора игра в раннем доступе и еще сырая . Очень сильно зашло то что в игре в РАННЕМ ДОСТУПЕ есть РУССКИЙ язык ( да местами кривоват но все же он есть) так что если разрабы не забросят проэкт то мы вскоре узреем хорошую игрушку (товар был куплен со скидосиком и не жалею )

This game has potential, but it is still VERY early access at this point. Lots of bugs, the game mechanics aren't explained well, and the translations to English need a lot of work.

Game has smoothed out. I didn't feel the pressure of doing things in the wrong order yet, beer making seems to be going better. There isn't a ton of direction on what to do or where to go yet. That's okay. Feels better in that regard.
The game feels pretty slow paced. Even at the fastest speed setting I felt like I was waiting around for things to happen most of the time rather than making progress.
There are a lot of typos and such in the game. I'm guessing English is not the first language. That's fine for me but if it bothers you, I would avoid it.
I still say hold off, but the developers are clearly making progress in the right direction.

Great idea but the set up to build a town is too linear. You have to build and research everything in the correct order. If you fail at following the (untold) build order you're going to run out or supplies at some point and all your dwarves will turn rogue on you, refusing to work. So I have a village that only was crafting beer, but they still ran out of beer (building twice supplies to craft beer as the game told me too), and then the people making beer refused to make beer, so then everyone stopped working.
Good idea, game is not correctly executed. Hopefully the developers continue fixing this and make the game better.
Game is a cheap copy of Craft the World with darker graphics and a lot more bugs like not being able to place buildings (and Zero tooltips of why) or needing the hubbel telescope to be able to read some text
Me encantaría disfrutar de este juego pero llevo como 2h y me siento estafado: muchísimos bugs, mal equilibrio de recursos iniciales, no podía tener acceso al edificio del trono cuando inicié una partida nueva, se me guardó la misma cantidad de oro que tenía en la partida anterior antes de iniciar una nueva (empiezas con 20k de oro y cuando decidí empezar otra partida tenía la mitad, y sin el edificio del salón del trono no puedes conseguir impuestos). Beben demasiada cerveza, es entendible, pero no fabrican tanta. Se bloquean, a veces no van a trabajar, aparecen enemigos y no se pelean. ¿De qué sirven los braseros si no funcionan? Textos y descripciones sin poner, los fps caen cuando entras al panel de investigación...
Tiene mil cosas mal equilibradas, y ni siquiera hay edificios que te den arcilla, además de que quitar un bloque de barro no siempre (por no decir casi nunca) te da arcilla... por favor, esmeraros más en el juego porque tiene muy buena pinta y es una lástima conforme está ahora
Para evitar problemas a la hora de jugar y tener una solución rápida, os invito a que pongáis trucos que sirvan para solucionar esos problemas, y si más adelante queréis que sea un juego sin trucos, que así sea. ¡Pero no nos dejéis con tantísimos errores, que esto es injugable!

Das Spiel hat einen sehr guten Ansatz, aber es ist leider noch nicht im Ansatz fertig. Es hat Bugs und wirkt als wäre einfach aufgehört worden. Sicher hat man an dem Spiel ein paar Stunden Spaß, aber ohne Ziele oder Möglichkeiten sich zu erweitern bleibt es am Ende eingestaubt.
Leider, und hoffentlich täusche ich mich, scheint es auch keine weitere Entwicklung zu geben. Bis dahin Daumen runter... Aber ich lasse mich gern positiv überraschen.

Сама задумка интересная. Но когда игра вылетает два раза за 10 минут это уже как-то слишком, при том что это первый час игры и ты начинаешь только получать интерес, а получаешь такой облом. Портит впечатление. С удовольствием поиграю если поправят баги, так как сама задумка действительно интересная. Тем не менее за хорошую скидку можно взять попробовать, но за полную стоимость можно взять реально вылизанную от багов и достаточно интересную другую какую-нибудь игру. Деньги не стал возвращать с надеждой что игру таки поправят от багов и получиться поиграть, с верой в разработчиков таки поднять свое детище.
UPD: Поиграл игру два дня, больше вылетов не было. Видать в начале повезло просто. Игра затягивает, хотя и не хватает подсказок при наведении, к примеру на значок волн и т.п. Не сразу понятно какое здание и для чего нужно. Но в целом, игра стоящая, хоть и не за полную цену, а со скидкой. А в целом сегодня по-любому полезу играть снова, так что увлекает.

Tolles Spiel für 10 Sekunden. Neues Spiel starten.
Tutorial:
1 Maus bewegen - geht.
2 Vier Leiter nach unten - nun nach ein paar Neustarts - geht.
3 Taverne bauen - nun das war es dann. Nach knapp einer Stunde aufgegeben, genau wie die Zwerge die es hätten bauen sollen.
Edit - bugs I encountered have been addressed.
Game shows promise but has a long ways to go yet. Tutorial needs to be expanded, and game play fleshed out a bit more.
I'll agree with another review I've seen that the burping is a bit much.
Leider nicht zu empfehlen . hängst sich oft auf , friert ein usw.

I have a old system Intel 4790k with 16gig RAM and some ssd´s and a 1070Geforce.... but other games played well:)

Also ich habe das Game heute im Sale mir gekauft. Ich liebe diese Art von Spielen. Seit damals in der Schule , wo wir sowas noch auf DIN a4 mit dem Tischnachbarn gespielt haben.. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn:
Es macht viel Freude, ohne Frage. Allerdings erwarte ich dann auch wenn es als E.A. angeboten wird, dass es zumindest "etwas" Bugfreier ist. Der selbe Fehlercode un Unity kommt fast immer zur selben Zeit. Es könnte gut an der automatischen Speicherung liegen.
Und da ich selbst auf ein gutes Ende der Angelegenheit hoffe, warte ich mir dem "Rückgeben" bzw meiner Option einer Rückerstattung noch etwas ab. Die Chance das die Entwickler die "Home-Office-Zeit" sinnvoll an diesem Spiel nutzen, räumen wir hier demzufolge noch ein.
Nutzt diese Zeit, wo alle zu Hause sein sollen entsprechend gut und wir freuen uns auf ein schnelles beheben dieser kleinen Kinderkrankheiten.. Auch sollte überlegt werden, ob es auch möglich ist, ob man das abgefarmte Material als "Füllmaterial" für die ganzen Löcher im Berg zu nutzen. Es sieht schöner aus, als diese ganzen Steinbrücken und wäre auf dauer auch günstiger für den Spieler und sein kleines Bergvolk..
In diesem Sinne.. Bleibt gesund und danke für dies wirklich Spaß bringende Spiel
PS: Ich setz mein Reviewhaken mal auf Kostenlos beziehen, denn ich würde mein Review hierzu dann nach genauer Testung des Spieles entsprechend auch positiv und sachlich weiter ausbauen. Danke

Etablissez et gérez votre colonie de nains en explorant les profondeurs dans ce jeu de Gestion/Stratégie en scroller. Le style est plaisant et s'étoffe au fil du temps.
Minez et collectez les ressources nécessaires à votre implantation souterraine tout en veillant à la bonne humeur et au bien être de vos travailleurs dépendants à la bibine :)
Attention car vous ne serez pas seul dans l'obscurité, il faudra également vous défendre face aux ennemis jurés des nains, satanés gobelins.
L'interface ainsi que le gameplay sont encore un peu brute/brouillon mais cela devrait s'éclaircir par la suite. Dans son genre le jeu est tout à fait intéressant.
Quelques petites choses sont néanmoins à optimiser ou à équilibrer pour que ce soit pleinement jouissif.
Le titre est plutôt sympa, drôle parfois et il reste également très abordable pour passer du bon temps.

It's not that bad but not good either. I would wait a little for updates. I'll give it a thumbs up anyways as it has a lot of potential.
Go play Craft The World instead - it is awesome and already around for many years.
I really wanted to like this game, and I certainly put a lot of time into trying to make it work. But I just cannot recommend it, as in its current state it is just simply broken. The developer is promising interesting new things, but there are a ton of bugs and many of the game mechanics are either unexplained or simply not implemented yet.
I would add this to your watch list, as I think one day it may be a really good game... but I would not buy it yet.

Из плюсов:
1. в игре есть русский язык! В инди игре буквально на старте он уже есть, это честно говоря очень сильно удивило, и пусть местами не очень точный перевод, но тем не менее, постигать игру на родном языке проще;

3. порадовало что в игре очень важны обычные рабочии,это напомнило мне такие игры как Settlers и Knight and Merchant;

Из минусов:
1. мыльная графика, не критично, но в целом не помешало бы сделать лучше;
2. у гномов маловато анимации;
3. нет звуков нападения противников;
4. в панели событий (слева на экране) нет уведомления о окончание исследований, о начале боя, о малых показателях здоровья гномов;
5. нельзя кликнуть на предмет лежащий на земле (пока лежать могут только глаза и камни которые выпадают из врагов), да, это не всегда нужно, но когда играешь первый раз совершенно неясно что именно выпало с противника;
Предложения по улучшению:
1.Не помешало бы сделать бонус профессии, т.е. когда гном работает долгое время на одной профессии он достигает определенных бонусов в ней, чтобы. имел смысл делать мастеров в какой либо области;
2. Миникарта;
3. Возможность удалить камни и мосты.
Забавный факт по игре:
Женщина в игре всего одна, королева гномов, причем она почему то выше всех остальных гномов;
Гномов не нужно кормить, им важно только пить алкоголь.

From the pros:
the game has a Russian language! In the indie game literally at the start it already is, to be honest very much surprised, and even in some places not very accurate translation, but nevertheless, to comprehend the game in their native language easier;

pleased that the game is very important ordinary workers,it reminded me of games such as Settlers and Knight and Merchant;

Of the minuses:

Everything so far seems to work well on my rig. The look and feel (and sounds) are very nice, though maybe could deal with at least 50% less constant belching. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of this game. I saw some complainy, bad reviews and wanted to test if they really were worth trusting (after I saw the developers responding very honestly and attentively). To me, the game seems solid so far with a load of potential.

Es un juego interesante que recuerda a titulos como Oxygen not included (aun queda muy lejos jajaja) que mediante la excavacion tendras que ir expandiento tu terreno y construyendo diferentes edificios donde habitaran o trabajaran tus enanos.
Ten cuidado con las hordas de enemigos o con que el radio de la taberna no llegue a las casas pues perderas la partida.
Tiene sus fallos, esta algo verde en algunas cosas pero promete tener un buen futuro tras el early access
Game is fun so far. Needs a little balancing and tune-up, but that is what EA is all about. Dev is active on the forums.

The game wont load it says it is trying to switch to resolution 1600x900, but it says it has failed to switch. I am already running on this resolution so there should be no reason to switch anyway.
If this cant be fixed i want my money back!

[b]Einleitung:[/b]
Ich hab das Game über meine Steamgruppe bekommen, da ich in jede Richtung Games zocke, die Lust und Laune machen. StoneDeep ist zwar kein Game für mich, aber vielleicht für andere. Daher schreibe ich auch das Review, weil ich sehr viel Potential in dem Spiel sehe. Außerdem ist das Spiel recht gut aufgebaut und bietet eine Menge Fläche, um seine "Stadt" auszubauen.
[b]Handlung[/b]
Wenn man ins Spiel kommt, wird einem angezeigt wie man das Spiel bedient und man bekommt eine kurze Anleitung darüber wie man Häuser usw baut. Im Grunde kommt man sehr schnell ins Spiel, aber mir selbst fehlt ein wenig die Handlung. Im Grunde baut man immer mehr sein Gebiet aus, welches man am Anfang bevölkert hat und wartet darauf, dass sich die Zwerge fortpflanzen. Die Zwerge haben Bedürfnisse, die erfüllt werden müssen, damit diese nicht faul sind. Ach ja und die Stadt ist unterirdisch indem man Tunnel aushebt und diese mit Leitern verbindet. Zusätzlich sollte man sich um die Verteidigung kümmern, denn es Leben auch Gefahren unter der Erde.
[b]Fazit:[/b]
StoneDeep hat ein wenig was von Fallout Shelter, was ich einmal gespielt hatte, nur das man sehr viel tiefer bauen kann. Dazu geht es halt hier in dem Spiel um das Ausbauen einer Zwergenstadt. Das Spielprinzip ist einfach und es scheint mir eher ein Spiel für einen ruhigen Abend zu sein. Das Ausbauen wird im ersten Moment recht komplex wirken, aber dies legt sich auch wieder. Für einen Early-Access Titel ist das Game aber recht hoch im Preis angesetzt. Da vieles eher gleich aussieht ist hier nach meiner Meinung an Preis von eher 5-7€ angebracht. Aber ansonsten bietet das Spiel halt eine große Baufläche und man merkt, das die Entwickler dran rum schrauben.
Für Spieler die Aufbauspiele mögen und die wenig auf Story wert legen scheint das ein gutes Spiel zu werden. Zusätzlich sollte man halt die Art des Spiels mögen. Ich mag solche reinen Aufbauspiele nicht und brauche immer ein Ziel. Das Spiel hat kein angegebenes Ziel und scheint fast Endlos zu sein, wenn ich mir die Fläche anschaue, die man dort bekommt.

Does this game has a great potential? Definetly!
Does this game is playable? No!
It is okay to have bugs when you are in the early access. I am okay with it. But I can't play it.
It takes about 30-40 seconds to start the game. After couple slides of tutorial it says that the tutorial is over. Really? I mean I don't even know what is the goal of the game? Am I just going to build whatever I want aimlessly?
I do not want to say bad things about this game. However, it took my 20 minutes to start the game. (I thought it was broken but I just had to wait 40 seconds). After that I had to restart the game for 3 times because of some bugs.
As I said it has great potential. But like this? No way! If they fix some of the bugs and add some tutorial I could play more then couple minutes.
The current state of this game has a lot of problems, most of it regarding the A.I.
Current Problems:
A.I. Dwarves will spend a lot of precious time idle even with dig spots and tasks needing to be queued
Due to poor A.I. and pathing, A.I. have trouble depositing and retrieving needed items from vaults
Due to this above issues, even with enough mushroom farms, a brewery, and a honeywell, they fail to create the process of beer
due to not creating beer, theres no supply to the tavern, which in turn causes your entire workforce to turn into dark dwarves
While this is an early access game, I reccommend waiting till the above issues get patched before considering buying, as this is critical to surviving in this game.
---UPDATE---
The current state of the game is pretty stagnant, no real changes in a few months, as well as the developers not making enough profit to work on the game full time, it is now a side project. So if considering to buy this product, keep in mind that the current alpha stage it is in right now is pretty basic groundwork and it may be a while before we get actual game changing updates.
