Old ST fan here, and this is the best thing that happened with Star Trek in the last 20 years. Better story and characteres than in any new shows.
It is a quick time event game, but the story so good, this game deserve some love from ST fans.
Yeah, sure. It needs some polishing; graphical clithes, voice and animation bugs, t-posing enemies.
But it's still a wonderful Star Trek adventure, with all the stupid that comes included with the universe; stupid decisions, tactical errors, incompetent and unprofessional people posing as career officers. I love it.
Even the lack of seatbelts and fuses don't get to ruin the story, in this wonderful tecnobabble filled nonsense.

L'histoire, l'intrigue jusqu'à présent est attractive. Le jeu est desservi par le Gameplay, qui est vraiment merdique que cela soit à la manette et surtout au clavier, avec une impossibilité de reprogrammer les touches de jeu. Il n'y a rien de sensationnel, ça occupe lorsque l'on a un peu de temps à perdre...
En fonction de nos choix, il y a des conséquences différentes, c'est malheureusement très orienté, si l'on ne fait pas les choix scénaristiques prévus, ça part en cacahuète, c'est dommageable, pourtant il y peut exister différents moyens, différents chemins dans la vie, y compris dans star Treck... Good Luck !
The graphics are a little dated looking and the characters are a bit simple and early 2000s like but the storyline and choices that lead to outcomes and overall attention to detail make up for it. The game is perfect for any Star Trek fans like myself.

Si eres un trekkie no debería faltar en tu colección, una aventura interactiva al estilo beyond: two souls por poner un ejemplo rápido, enclavada en la época de star trek la nueva generación, dos protagonistas y muchas decisiones que tomar con sus diferentes implicaciones y resultados, un sistema de simpatía o enemistad con el resto de personajes con los que interactúas durante el juego en una aventura que deja con ganas de mas quizás, una pena que tiene algunos bugs no demasiado graves, pero si molestos en momentos puntuales del juego y así como el echo de que no esté doblado al español, por otra parte se supone que el juego te redirige hacia la web de la desarrolladora donde te indican las consecuencias de las opciones no tomadas, pero que al final quedó abandonado ese proyecto y en realidad la única manera seria tomar otras decisiones, visualmente se nota que no es el equipo con mas medios del mundillo, pero realizan un cumplido trabajo.

Super Story, coole Charaktere. Als reiner Film absolut sehenswert.
Gameplay nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Kleine Längen zur Mitte des Spiels, es lohnt sicher aber total dran zu bleiben. Die Sequenzen mit den Shuttle-Flügen... Nunja. Wie gesagt, ich sehe darüber hinweg.
Die Entscheidungen im Spiel fühlten sich nicht so an, als ob sich da groß am Geschehen was ändern würde, was für mich nicht zum erneuten Spielen einlädt.
Mir aber quasi egal, da ich sowieso immer die maximal kitschige Sternenflotten-Philosophie wähle.

Puh... hart zu bewerten, gerade weil ich nur eine halbe Stunde gespielt habe und es jetzt keine klar "katastrophalen" Ereignisse gab. Dennoch habe ich mich bereits zu dem Zeitpunkt entschlossen, das Spiel sein zu lassen.
Zusammenfassung, soweit ich es gespielt habe: Das Spiel ist etwas altbacken in der Grafik und verfolgt einen nicht so furchtbar anspruchsvollen Story-Ansatz, bei dem man im Wesentlichen durch Entscheidungen das Spiel voranbringt und gelegentliche Quick-Time-Events absolviert. Abgesehen davon, dass ein merkwürdiger Timer die Entscheidungen stresst, währen die Story noch erzählt wird, gibt es viele Details, die mich einfach nicht ausreichend überzeugen, die aber streng genommen nicht so richtig wichtig sind. Im Prinzip würde ich dem Spiel insgesamt ein "neutral" geben, da es mich insbesondere nicht im Star Trek Feeling ausreichend überzeugt hat und ich das Spiel dann zurückgegeben habe, wird der im Steam-Kontext zu "negativ".
Details:
Ich wusste durchaus, dass das Spiel als Spiel eher so-la-la sein soll, dass es im Wesentlichen eine Geschichte mit überschaubaren Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten und Kämpfen in Form von Quick-Time-Events gibt. Das alles war für mich okay, sogar willkommen, denn vor allem wollte ich ein "traditionelles" Star Trek Abenteuer erleben, und das sollte REsurgence schaffen.
Der Start lief dann aber weit suboptimal. Okay, dass mir das Spiel zunächst eine Game-Pad-Steuerung andrehen wollte und das erste Tutorial-Quick-Time-Event nicht verstanden hatte, sei's drum. Neustart, Tastatur inzwischen korrekt erkannt. Da kommt die erste Entscheidungsbox mit Timer. Doch das Event, auf das ich reagieren soll, wird noch erzählt, und jetzt soll ich schon antworten lesen? Ne, ich will mich auf die Story konzentrieren. Ich habe etwas recherchiert und es hieß, dass der Timer (zumindest meistens) nur fake ist und bei Ablauf das Spiel einfach pausiert. Also hab ich ich mir Zeit gelassen. Als der Timer dann beim ersten mal abgelaufen war, wurde das Spiel angehalten und alles schwarz/weiß. Kein Problem, ich habe meine Auswahl getroffen, das Spiel weitergespielt... nur blieb alles schwarz/weiß. Das habe ich eine Weile beobachtet, aber die Farbe kam nicht zurück. Bug? Oder wollte mir das etwas sagen? Keine Ahnung. Das war der Punkt, an dem ich final ausgeschlaltet hatte.
Zuvor hat mich das Feeling aber auch überhaupt nicht abgeholt. Ja, oberflächlich wirkt alles nach coolem TNG-Star Trek (das Spiel ist eine Weile nach dem Dominion-Krieg angesiedelt), aber bei genauerer Betrachtung ist das oberflächlich. Da bin ich in der Stations-Lounge und überall höre ich blöd lästernde Crewmitglieder ("Der Captain war Schuld" - "neuer erster Offizier, was??? keiner von uns wurde befördert, ohoh, was die Crew davon halten" und sowas - dabei ist das in den Storys standard, dass neue Offiziere von extern kommen). Und auch der Check-In war schon völlig No-Star-Trek mit einem Handscan erfolgt. Seit wann wird sowas denn gemacht? Das ist dann auch ein guter Übergang zu einem anderen Detail: der Hauptcharakter trägt einen ziemlich auffälligen Zeigefinger-Ring. Der wird nirgends erwähnt (auch Rezensionen ist er nicht erwähnt wurden) und scheint schlicht völlig egal zu sein. Aber: Unfiformregeln schließen persönlichen Schmuck aus. Und da die Grafik-Qualität jetzt nicht up-to-date ist, fällt dieser Ringe besonders deplaziert auf. Wer weiß, vielleicht hat er sogar eher den Zweck, im Verlauf des Spiels den Charakter deutlich erkennbar zu halten? Keine Ahnung...
Mir ist natürlich klar, dass das meiste davon völlig nebesächliche Kleinigkeiten sind, weswegen ich die Rezension auch mit einem "Puh..." angefangen habe. Vermutlich bin ich auch etwas überempflindlich, weil mich neben den zahlreichen "modernen" Star-Trek-Interpreationen auch von aktuellen "old-school"-Star Trek (insbesondere das aktuelle Voyager-Spiel) echt enttäuscht war. Dass auch Resurgence nur ein relativ oberflächliches Star Trek Feeling abliefert und in vielen Details nicht so richtig überzeugt, hat mir dann zusammen mit der merkwürdigen Timer-Logik die Motivation zu dem Spiel völlig genommen.
What an amazing game! If you grew up with TNG, DS9 and Voyager you will feel right at home here. The music, the dialogues and the whole feel of the game took me right back to that golden era of the franchise.
The visuals are beautiful, the story is great and you will often be confronted with very tough choices, just as you would expect from a starfleet crew.
If you are a Star Trek fan, then go get this game. It will not dissapoint.
I haven't finished the game yet, so maybe my review will change, but this is easily the best Star Trek game I've played. They made some very wise decisions right from the top such as having the adventure set on a ship we haven't seen before with a new crew to get to know. It makes all the interactions more interesting if you aren't really sure how people will react. The biggest negative is the graphics. The music and camera really tries to get you to believe that you're seeing something impressive, but it's almost laughable when the accompanying visual is so dated. The other negative has to be the quick time events. I want to watch the cartoon and make make choices. It's annoying to have to pause every three minutes to press some button combination. If what you were taking the mouse over for was to solve some puzzles or something, I'd probably feel differently. I really wish one these "Telltale"-style games would include some classic adventure game puzzle solving. That I suppose is the one advantage my previous favorite Star Trek games, 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rights, still have over this one. But really the story and dialogue is much better done here.
Excellent. Maybe a little janky here and there, but you can tell it was made with some real passion. I hope they make more of these games
First game of this sort that I've properly been able to engage with. Really enjoyed it. I'm a big Trek fan, and this hit all the buttons. 5 out of 5 bananas, would recommend.

Better than anything Star Trek that's come out in years!

Es war zwar ausgerechnet ein kanadischer Eishockerspieler, der diesen weisen Spruch einmal zum Besten gab, aber im Grunde beschreibt er wunderbar den entscheidenen Knackpunkt von "Star Trek: Resurgence" - Entscheidungen! Und von diesen muss Commander Jara Rydek, die frisch den Posten des 1. Offiziers auf der USS Resolute besetzen darf, eine ganze Menge treffen. Bereits die erste Mission hält einige unangenehme Überraschungen für die Crew bereit, denn ein Streit um Minenrechte zwischen zwei Nicht-Föderationsvölkern entpuppt sich weitaus weniger als gedacht als diplomatische Routine. Auf einmal häufen sich seltsame Fehlfunktionen, die Stimmung heizt sich auf und ein mächtiger Gegner betritt die Bühne.
"Star Trek: Resurgence" ist, wenn man es kurz machen will, ein typischer Vertreter der "Telltale"-Adventures (auch wenn es nicht mehr unter diesem Label veröffentlicht wurde), die sich hauptsächlich auf eine mitreißende Geschichte und passende Charaktere verlassen. Spielerische Elemente werden auf wenige interaktive Häppchen, überwiegend Tasten zur richtigen Zeit und ggf. in der richtigen Reihenfolge drücken, reduziert und natürlich müssen in den Dialogen teils folgenschwere Entscheidungen (da hätten wir sie wieder) getroffen werden. Während die erste Stunde noch etwas zäh verläuft, kommt danach langsam richtig Schwung in die Geschichte und immerhin benötigt man am Ende zwischen 10 und 15 Stunden, bis schließlich der Abspann über den Bildschirm wuselt.
Technisch bleibt "Resurgence" ebenfalls den "Telltales" treu und setzt auf eine recht altmodische Engine, die aber stellenweise überraschend viel Leistung zu ziehen scheint. Wer also Wert auf halbwegs aktuelle Möglichkeiten der Technik legt, wird enttäuscht sein und sich vermutlich wie bei einem Museumsbesuch fühlen. Allerdings kann man sich durchaus damit arrangieren, denn am Ende ist es immer noch die Geschichte, die ordentlich zieht und die teils wunderbare Anknüpfungspunkte an "Star Trek: The Next Generation" auftischt. Die Steuerung ist simpel, der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist in der Regel unproblematisch, auch wenn vielleicht hier und da eine der Phaser-Actionszenen mal ein wenig tricky daherkommt - aber auch das ist kein Hindernis, da notfalls nach "Nichtbestehen" in einen Storymodus gewechselt werden kann, bei dem einem nix und niemand das Fell gerben kann. Die englischen Sprecher sind teils prima (und durchaus "Trek"-prominent) und die musikalische Untermalung fällt immerhin passabel aus.
Ein typisches "Telltale" also, mit klassischer DNA und wer bereits seine Freude an "The Walking Dead", "Game of Thrones", "Jurassic Park" und wie sie alle hießen hatte, der wird auch mit "Resurgence" glücklich werden.
This game is definitely more of an interactive movie, but it is very much a Star Trek story with many good elements and very good voice acting. Ultimately if you are a TNG DS9 VOY enjoyer, the game is worth picking up for several hours of content.
The animations go from great to poor, you can definitely tell the director put in a lot of elbow grease, but sometimes in dialogs it looks like the actor had a stroke, and sometimes the shot and lighting make it movie quality. Often enough though the amusement factor will get you through the scene, even if the walking in and out of the shot animations reminded me of Postal 2's archaic NPCs.
I have yet to play through making alternate choices but I imagine there could be some fun avenues to explore and will likely revisit in several months. This is a no-brainer if you are any level of trek fan and it is on sale.
SUPER FUN
I’m have to admit, I’m somewhat of a Star Trek hardliner. I can’t stomach the New Trek, I do refer to Discovery as STD, I despise all the JJ Abrams movies. I believe Picard to be an insult to the Star Trek legacy (sorry, Patrick, you are a genius actor, but you do suck as a screenwriter). Hell, I even believe that universally beloved DS9 is non canon, because that’s where all of the “dark and gritty” hogwash that is plaguing the modern Trek comes from (Hi, Section 31).
All of this is to say that I have a pretty high standard when it comes to what I would consider a true Trek.
Well, this game is a true Trek.
Surely, it’s not perfect—too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥ action scenes to my taste (although one cannot deny that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat scenes are definitely a part of a true trek experience), relationships between the crew are a bit too combative, and (small thing, but) space feels a bit too colorful… but still, it feels like a real Star Trek episode—which is more than I can say about most of 21st-century Trek. The dialogues feel right, the technology feels right, the visuals feels right, the atmosphere feels right… even the tough moral decisions, the essence of the Old Trek feel—mostly—right. Some people here said that It feels like “some of the best Star Trek episodes. I would not go that far—it's hardly close to “Dramok” of “Living Witness.” But it does feel pretty close to an average episode of Golden Age Star Trek—a bit skewed toward “action” on an “action-philosophy” scale, but still pretty deep. And the fact that YOU would finally make horrible mistakes yourself, instead of just criticizing your favorite Star Trek captain for making them, is priceless.
P.S. Kudos to the devs for finally, for the first time in 35 years, addressing the Trill’s “symbionts” as they should be addressed—as chilling, highly morally questionable beings, rather than as a fun cultural quirk to be “tolerated,” as the new trek does it.
This is mainly a story with some mild input from the player, but I especially enjoyed the story. As a matter of fact, the writing team should be hired to create new Star Trek content for Paramount, because this is what fans like to see. This does give you the feel of what it would be like to be in command of a Starfleet vessel.

Some parts of this game were super good, well written and just exciting to play, and then other parts of it were the opposite. Long, boring and slightly frustrating at times.
You play as these two different characters, onboard the same ship and a part of the same crew, but with very different positions and tasks. The first one is Commander Jara Rydek, who is a Kobali and is the newly assigned first officer on the USS Resolute, filling in the shoes of the previous first officer, who seemed to be a well respected person among the crew. The other character is Petty Officer Carter, who is human and an engineer on board the USS Resolute and mostly handles repairs and other technical tasks, but becomes a key figure later into the story. The character development in this game is spot on and is by far its strongest point.
The first part of this game felt really dated to me. I actually went back to the store page to check the release date, because it felt like a game that was at least a decade old, both in terms of visuals, voice acting and the weird controls. Especially the controls feel weird, awkward and not natural at all and actually reminded me a bit of controls from the older generation of games in this genre, like Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain. Not in the way that they are similar, just in the way that they felt clumsy. The voice acting also has its issues, but is overall acceptable. Some of the dialogue pieces can come off a bit sarcastically at times though, when I am certain the character didn’t mean it sarcastically, and it does kinda create this awkward tension.
Another thing I felt like I was missing from this game is that I have only ever watched one Star Trek movie, so I don’t know this universe very well and they don’t really do much to explain anything. So I wish they had explained some things a bit better, like why Commander Rydek being half Kobali is a bad thing and why some see her as a possible liability. Maybe other than just her need for deuterium.
Like I said, this game started out weak but got a lot better after each episode. It is a lot about politics and diplomacy and choices that must be made, which fits really well with this genre and is overall done really well in this game. That said, most of the actual gameplay sections could have been done better and they were by far the boring parts of the game. Especially the shooting segments were bad and added nothing to the game other than mild frustration, to the point where I would have preferred if I could just have skipped them. This combined with some characters ranting on about nonimportant things a little too much made the game feel a bit longer than it needed to be. I feel like they could easily have scraped 2 hours off this game and the outcome would have been the same, or maybe even better since it would have consisted of less boring segments.
At least, most of the checkpoints are good and the game auto saves a lot. The story was fun with so many different characters and plot twists and the ending was phenomenal. So I definitely recommend this game, even with the few issues that I think it does have.

Star Trek: Resurgence surprised me, honestly.
I started it a long while back, didn’t think it was enough for what I wanted, and dropped it. Then I came back to it like a year and a half later, actually gave it a fair shot, and now I’m mostly disappointed in myself for not doing that the first time.
I was judging it for what I wanted it to be, not for what it actually is.
What I wanted was basically that dream Star Trek game where you’re fully on a ship, walking around, interacting with everything, doing engineer or pilot stuff, dealing with repairs, phasers, transporter issues, all that everyday Star Trek starship life. That kind of immersive “you are there” experience. So when this wasn’t that, I checked out too early.
But once I stopped doing that and actually let the game be what it is, I ended up loving it.
This game is really enjoyable if you treat it almost like sitting down to watch a Star Trek episode on the couch, except you’re in it and making the calls. It works really well in that way. Controller in hand, relaxed, just following the story and making decisions. And the choices actually do feel like they matter. It doesn’t feel fake or thrown in. You can tell there are different paths, different outcomes, and that made me want to keep going to see where things would lead.
What I also really appreciated is that the story actually tries to explore things instead of just recycling the same old Star Trek material over and over again. A lot of Star Trek stuff plays it way too safe and just keeps leaning on what’s already been done, what’s already known, what fans already recognize. That gets boring. This actually felt like it wanted to go somewhere a bit different, touch areas that don’t always get explored, and give you something new without losing the Star Trek feel. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I was genuinely interested in where it was going and wanted more of it.
And that’s the thing: the story came first.
That matters a lot right now because so many games feel like they’re built backwards. Huge world, pretty graphics, flashy presentation, and then underneath all of that there’s barely a story at all. Or the story is weak, disconnected, forgettable. This didn’t feel like that to me. This felt like it actually cared about narrative first, and that made all the difference.
The vibe also felt way more authentically Star Trek than I expected. To me it had a strong Next Generation kind of feel, with a little bit of Voyager in there too. Not in a cheap nostalgia way, but in the tone, pacing, and the way it handles its story. It felt like Star Trek, which is something a lot of Star Trek games honestly miss.
So yeah, for me, this ended up being a must-play, but with one condition: treat it for what it is. Don’t go in expecting the ultimate starship simulator or the exact Star Trek game you’ve had in your head for years. I did that, and it made me unfair to this game. Once I let that go, I had a great time with it.
By the end, I didn’t want to stop playing. I kept wanting to see what would happen next, what my choices would change, and where the story would go.

I love decision making games, and the first time I gave this game a try, I played it for 28-38 minutes then gave up. I wasn't feeling it. I was looking for a game to play two days ago, and this one popped up. So I decided to give it a try again, by the time I stopped playing the game I played it for 5-6 hours. I played it again yesterday, and completed the game. I must say, it is one of the best decision making games that I have played. Yeah, it has its little flaws, I do wish the decision making was a little bit faster. But the story makes you forget about all of that, the story makes you forget about the little flaws. I recommend this game for people that love playing decision making games. Give it a try, it is worth the money. I just hope they come out with a part 2.

Hat mich an Ende ein paar Tränchen gekostet.
After a couple hours into the main story (conveniently after the refund period...) the game started suddenly stuttering and having SEVERE audio problems. Random clicking, stuttering of sound and repetition of certain noises while cutting other sentences off. Considering this is a game that relies on cutscenes, it makes it effectively unplayable.
Liked :
- the story : it's miles better than anything that has come out for star trek recently. It kept me wanting to continue to know where it was going.
- the characters : botrh Carter Diaz and Jara Rydek are likeable characters, though some of it is in your hands.
- Cameos : if you've seen the next generation, this story will have just that little more of your attention.
Didn't like :
- lack of key bindings: I can't understand that it is impossible to change your keybindings. I had to change my keyboard settings every time I wanted to play to match the ones preset.
- mouse movement : this seems very inconsistent. Soemtimes your move will move at a ridiculous low speed, making you sweep your mouse like crazy to get the pointer in the right location before the timer runs out.
- Combat : is mostly sitting in cover and popping up to take shots. At first, the movement of the cursor was so fast it was almost unplayable. Fortunately, you can at least slow that down in the configuration.
Overal :
If you're a fan of story driven games like Until Dawn and of Star Trek, this one is a no brainer, if you can live with the sometimes annoying controls. Even if you're just a star trek fan, you might find the story to be a thousand times better than what the recent star trek series have been feeding us.
A game I've waited for. They need to do a third person shooter / open world in this Universe, like Mass Effect but Star Trek
Look past the thin and janky gameplay and just enjoy the story. It's Trek that feels like Trek. That's rare! It was like finding a lost three part 90s episode.
Great story, stays true to the theme and principles of the shows. No replay value but still worth the price.

It doesn't do anything particularly amazing or special, but the story is solid and it kept me thoroughly entertained and immersed in what felt like an extended Star Trek movie. I don't know how much impact the decisions you make actually have on the story, but in the moment they felt good and rewarding and gave you some leeway on how your character(s) behaved. The story doesn't slow down and keeps escalating to one incident after another. Which kept me very engaged but I could also have used a breather somewhere in there.
The gameplay besides the decision making cutscenes isn't that good or compelling. I could have done without them personally as they were pretty simple minigames with little difficulty. But I think there is a "story mode" difficulty that negates those sections and I would recommend using it. Also the game technically doesn't run well; I would get high framerates but the game would constantly stutter slightly. It also isn't the prettiest of games, but it is serviceable.
So if you can get past the jank and bland gameplay there is a solid Star Trek story here to become immersed in. I think its worth $20, especially if you are a trekie. It makes me hope that one day we can get a proper Star Trek RPG, but in the meantime this was nice little treat.

Dieses Spiel, spielt man allerdings nicht des Spielens, sondern der Geschichte wegen und weil man Teil einer Crew auf einem Raumschiff der Föderation sein darf.
Leider existieren existiert der Entwickler nicht mehr. Eine deutsche Vertonung, die das ganze Rund machen würde, und Nachfolger wird es somit wohl leider nicht mehr geben.
I liked the thrill of being on the bridge of a star trek vessel and all the challenges it presents. The game was a great play from beginning to end and i can't wait till they come out with some more adventures. That being said i still think the graphics can use some more work, the characters didn't move as well as they could they were kind of robotic. at time the graphics merged, meaning you could see the internal parts of the characters like their teeth or their skulls why i don't know? but it was distracting from the game. things like that need to be fixed. you could also see inside their mouth when they spoke.
Really liked the characters as well as the look and feel. Although I abhor quick time events this kept me playing.
Some of the decisions are a bit on the nose in my opinion.
The end felt a bit unfinished since it left some story points open but that may just be me.

Five hours in and I'm loving every minute. This is good old Star Trek (TNG/DS9/VOY era) at its finest.
Technically, the game has some issues like no manual saves (really annoying), weird FPS drops, and sometimes clunky controls, but those are quickly forgotten once you let yourself be immersed in the world of Star Trek.
In turn, you take on the role of a female second-in-command character as well as a male engineer managing various scenarios, all very reminiscent of the days on the Enterprise D or Voyager.
The story is quite mysterious in the beginning and full of nostalgic references, but not as bluntly on the nose as shown in current-day TV series. Instead, everything feels like it's naturally a part of the wonderful universe that TNG, DS9, and VOY established.
Characters feel real and (in contrast to New Trek TV series nowadays) I actually remember most of the crew's names because they've got personalities, some likeable, some not so much, but still respectable.
The dialogue is fully professionally voiced and feels authentic for Star Trek, with all the typical tropes (including techno-babble) and as the player, you often have at least two or three choices to progress, with your answers influencing how others perceive and treat you, as well as changing outcomes — there are real consequences. Just now, I decided to rescue a fellow crew member, which resulted in the death of over a dozen aliens. Such split-second decisions do affect you, especially when they feel right at the moment, like this one, and have painful results.
Not every decision is so consequential, of course.
All in all, as a Trek fan (TNG era), this is a must-play.
It's majorly immersive — you really feel like walking around a Starfleet vessel. 😁
The characters and plot are good, but gameplay wise this is like just watching an episode of an (actually good) animated ST series, barely anything to do for the most part. Many mini games throughout that are extremely simple and impossible to fail.
Recommending since I don't want to ♥♥♥♥ on a ST game with a plot written by normal people, but I'd buy this on a big discount.

Zuerst einmal, das ist kein wirkliches Spiel es ist ein interaktiver Film. Die Auswahlmöglichkeiten sind eigentlich immer komplett irrelevant. Egal was ihr sagt es geht so weiter wie es auch mit einer anderen Auswahl weitergegangen wäre.
Leider ist vieles konstruiert. Scheinbar kann man elementare Systeme des Schiffs nur erreichen, wenn man auf der Außenhülle rumklettert und man braucht dann auch noch die nötige Kraft um diese elementaren Sicherheitsfunktionen zu bedienen. Wer bitte baut so ein Schiff? Schutzschilde schützen auch nur vor Trümmern wenn es gerade geschichtlich passt – man braucht ja (künstliche) Dramatik…Verwundete werde nicht vor Ort untersucht und leistet erste Hilfe, sondern man packt sie auf eine schwebende Trage und fliegt sie durch halbes Schiff. Noch ein Beispiel: Gefahrensituation - jede Sekunde kann über Leben und Tod entscheiden. Jetzt meint meine Begleitung geh du zuerst, ich kann jetzt einfach durchgehen und die Begleitung kommt 2 Sekunden später nach, oder ich diskutiere und verschwende wichtige Zeit. Natürlich wählt man das erste und geht selbst, daraufhin ist die Begleitung sauer. Könnte man sagen typisch Frau…aber ich glaube der Entwickler hat hier das Spiel unfreiwillig realistisch gemacht 😊
Was ich auch sehr merkwürdig fand, der Anfangsplot ist, dass einer Spezies einer anderen vorwirft sie wird unterdrückt. Wie das im Alltag dann aussieht - keiner weiß es - man stellt schlicht keine Fragen darüber, obwohl man den Streit schlichten soll. WTF
Die Kampfszene und Schleichpassagen kann man nur als grober Unfug bezeichnen die in der Realität nicht mal ansatzweise so vorkommen könnten
Sound ist ok, Grafik ist für ein Spiel aus dem Jahr 2024 unterdurchschnittlich.
Das Szenario gefällt mir als Sifi-Fan, aber das Spiel bleibt weit hinter den Möglichkeiten zurück.
Was bleibt ist ein unterdurchschnittliches "Spiel" was auf Steam aufgrund der Lizenz schlicht überbewertet ist. Da ich nicht neutral vergeben kann, gebe ich daher negativ.
Very fun. Great detail to the ship and gameplay. Lots to explore on my own before continuing on to the mission at hand. Easy, but challenging enough to keep me entertained. Can't wait for another adventure.

Whish there was a First person View or at least a way to change the camera angle on third person. The game itself and the story was great. Still had some bugs, but mostly my fault for rushing things. It's definitely a game enjoyed playing slowly following the story.

I have only played the game casually over the past few months, but it is a solid, story-driven game with a classic ST (Berman-era) feel. If you are hankering for some 90's and 00's era trek, then give it a go.

Best game ever for all fans of Star Trek
TLDR: If you are a Trekkie (even if you don't like NuTrek), definitely play this game for it's TNG style story and the overall Star Trek experience but don't expect a high level of technical polish (i.e. anticipate a little jank).
It's difficult to find good Star Trek stories in this era, let alone Star Trek video games, but this game, while not perfect, is a very good Star Trek experience. This game works like a Telltale (i.e. Walking Dead, Wolf Amogoos, etc) style game with QTE action sequences. It follows two characters: The new Executive Officer, Commander Rhydek, and an enlisted Petty Officer, Petty Officer Diaz. This allows you to see the story unfold from two different angles, essentially top and bottom.
The good:
The story is like an episode of TNG but with higher stakes. It seems pretty cut and dry at first but steadily the plot thickens into something much more interesting.
The bad guys are not typically used in Trek media and are given neat lore drops, which makes them pretty fresh while still referencing classic TNG. When they first reference them (you will know what I mean), it is not mandatory but I recommend watching [spoiler]the first season TNG episode "The Last Outpost."[/spoiler]
You get to be hands on with a lot of Starfleet equipment that you normally don't get a close look at, like tricorders, transporters, and shuttle piloting. Yes, Phasers too... but if you want that, I'd recommend Star Trek Elite Force, as the phaser sections are serviceable at best and a glitched slog at worst.
The designs of the sets and aliens (for the most part) are pretty good and inline with classic Trek style aliens.
The dialogue has the most cerebral writing I have ever seen in this genre of games. Numerous (and I don't mean a small amount) dialogue choices have forced me to step back and carefully consider the options and their implications. I think in most cases there is a decent spread of options in most cases, even if it is limited to 3-4 options at most. It doesn't always hit as hard as you might expect and sometimes the character's wording is not quite what you meant (a self-imposed limitation of the dialogue style in the game), but for the most part dialogue is very good.
The Mid:
This is a game in a genre that proudly proclaims "Your choices matter!", and even declares so itself. Do they? I only did one playthrough but best I can gather, yes and no. Minor Spoilers: [spoiler]Your choices basically determine who will live or die, and variations therein. There are major decisions to be made, but although the characters will look a little different or will switch spots, the ending sequence is essentially the same.[/spoiler]
Silence as a dialogue option is not really utilized much at all. I had the option pop up once my entire playthrough [spoiler]and even then the dialogue choice after that should have offered silence but didn't, which IMO negated the whole reason I chose silence![/spoiler] You have a timer bar during dialogue choices, but this is misleading. Once it expires, the screen goes black and white, and you have an indefinite amount of time to make the decision.
The game autosaves every chapter (i.e. when you see title text popup). There is no manual saving. If you need to leave a session, get to the next chapter (i.e. watch for the title text) and quite or accept lost progress. I haven't had any issues with this personally but some people have reported issues.
As much as I praise the writing in this game, it does misstep in some places. In fact, when you start the game, you have at least 2 different junior officers kissing Commander Rydek's ass, basically expositing how great of a Starfleet officer Rydek is at rapid speed. TBH, I kinda glossed over what they were saying because my actual personality can't handle such rapid paced glazing, though there are professional ways ingame to divert the conversation which is good.
Rambly rant full of major spoilers: [spoiler]Mid game, Rydek relieves Captain Solano of duty and has to pick a new first officer. Her choices are Commander Westbrook (Science Officer), Commander Urmot (Operations officer), and Lieutenant Bedrosian (tactical officer- assuming she didn't resign). Lt. Commander Chovak, the Chief Engineer is not included. In fact, Rydek rarely ever talks to the Chief Engineer in the game. He never really goes to the bridge like Scotty or La Forge do, though tbf he is a Vulcan and Starfleet protocol seems to be taken more seriously on the Resolute than on the Enterprise (In another scene, Westbrook and Bedrosian tried to check now CO Rydek on her going on an away mission, as if Kirk and Picard didn't do that all the time... though yes, per the instruction they [i]were[/i] technically correct). Anyways... Compared to the other three mentioned officers, Bedrosian is still very junior (and it shows in her demeanor). Picking her as an XO when you have two commanders (both of whom, despite Westbrook's initial shortcomings, are decent choices) and a Vulcan Chief Engineer is an incredibly bizarre choice, and although it may or may not have been explicitly addressed in cannon material, can't be an acceptable option in Starfleet protocol. A Commander serving as CO/XO has sufficient experience and authority to command other Commanders, but a little Lieutenant commanding Commanders and other senior officers couldn't convincingly tell a Commander how to run his department... There are also weird bouts of unprofessional behavior from Starfleet officers in the game on occasions. I can understand that the characters are human (or at least humanoids) and are being placed under a lot of stress, but some officers act childish in a profession that is well renowned for its professionalism. For example, Westbrook's first comments on Rydek were thoughts he should have kept to himself (though it's real unfortunate and/or funny that his concerns about her condition seemed to be proven right not even 20 minutes after). The thing that got me was when Bedrosian was shouting and whining about a specific late game decision- the one to transport or destroy the T'kon Empire crystal remnants. Basically, she was very passionate about needing to destroy them, which 1.Despite their material form, still probably meets the criteria for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genocide, which is very much so not an ideal of the Federation (don't quote Archer and Janeway at me), 2. Would have seriously pissed off the Portal, who we really needed help from in the fight against a superior adversary. She screamed at the Captain, and threatened to resign, then whined and complained about the Captain when she didn't get her way. Given the circumstances, I could have understood why she felt that way (I too have taken the low road due to pragmatism at some points of the game) and I had pushed her far, but I wish I could have reprimanded her.[/spoiler]
The Bad:
As noted by everyone else, this game is a bit of a technical nightmare. The game will stutter at times and performance and optimization is questionable. The PC version is evidently a console port (at least indicated by the UI), as it is at times very poorly optimised for mouse and keyboard. During these sections in particular, the game very severely restricts your mouse's DPI, causing it to very frustratingly crawl to what you are trying to do. Additionally, on some occasions (especially during one of the late game stealth sequences) the camera flips out at the worst times imaginable.
Speaking of, one the last (if not the last?) stealth sequences in the game seems to be buggy and/or poorly designed. I got through by cheesing the AI... In another shooting sequence, I had to defend someone but the game stopped spawning bad guys? At the same time, the person I was supposed to be defending was supposed to working on something, but when I turned to her se was just sitting there. And yet the cutscenes still showed her doing her job.
The game doesn't have the prettiest graphics.

so, i really liked this game. hell, i think i even loved it. there is one thing that i really didn't like, however, and it's the ending. [spoiler]both of them.[/spoiler]
[spoiler]it's not a bad ending to have the bioformed tkon be "unsave-able," at least, from what we see in-game. perhaps they are working on fixing them idk. what puts me off is the way you get to that point, and how there's no real consequence for which ending you've chosen. portal dies no matter what side he chooses, which i HATE. he was by FAR my favorite here (it helps he's an established character already, but that's besides the point), and i think it's so dumb that he dies in his "good" ending. no way he dies from his wounds.[/spoiler]
the other grudge i have with this are how many loose ends there are. i can think of three glaring ones: [spoiler]solano, carter, and urmott. what happened to them? were they imprisoned? were they turned back? did they accept their fates? this should have been addressed, or at least alluded to in the ending.[/spoiler]
despite that, i really did enjoy this one. i liked both main characters, and found myself not really preferring one storyline over the other. i will say [spoiler]when portal was introduced, i wanted to see more of jara, but that's just personal preference.[/spoiler] i liked most of the characters, and i thought the writing was good for what it was trying to do.
i've always liked star trek, but i've never been a HUGE fan of it. after playing this, though? i'm finding myself consuming a lot more of its content. i love when a game does that for me. all in all, i'd defenitely pick this one up if you're a fan of the series, or of choice-based games. tweak your audio settings, though - half the time, the music drowns out voices.
Surprisingly good game! I really enjoyed it. There are some weaker parts - forced cuts, silly minigames but strong story and clever dialogues makes this above-average game.

I really enjoy the plot, characters, and decisions i need to make. I wish there was less "gameplay". The shooting and scanning sections in particular are tedious. Regardless its overall a positive experience with lowered expectations.

It's a separate Star Trek experience with an original crew. There are cameos from certain characters that this store page already spoiled for you as well as references to well-known episodes, it's okay if you never saw them because the game goes over in detail the important stuff.
Plays out just like a Star Trek episode. Here's what is going on... diplomatic approach... twist... action... techno-babble status report... ready room commanders' assessment and new plan... bigger twist... etc. The story, while not original, is interesting enough to make you want to play one more chapter before logging off.
Honestly, I don't play choose your own adventure Telltale style games a lot because choices don't matter. But here, there are definitely permanent effects based on your choices. The dialogue options can totally let you play a personality for your two main characters. Next playthrough, I'm gonna make my Diaz was less optimistic and see how that changes scenes.
The reasons you might want to wait for a sale:
Even on maximum graphics, the lighting and shading just can look weird.
One scene, a character had a random light on them but, the person walking and talking with them just didn't.
Random expressions turn into wild Sims-like face stretches.
Movement during scenes tend to jump into position, like missing frames of movement.
Watch their feet whenever they have to turn direction.
Big one for me, the QTEs where you have to move your mouse over a certain icon... they lower the sensitivity for no reason other than to make you scroll your mouse across your entire desk multiple times. It's unnecessary and frequent.
Even with all these flaws, I still have fun. I just hope this leads to a sequel where the devs have more time to hash out bugs.
This game overcomes its small budget by telling an engaging Star Trek story that feels like it's right out of TNG. You are placed into an episodic story and the writing keeps you invested throughout. Unfortunately the gameplay gimmicks and presentation hold this game back from being truly great. The music is very very bad and sometimes laughably so. They use this horn that sounds like it is off of a toy CASIO Keyboard in several of the overly repeated tracks. I don't understand why they couldn't use the music or themes from previous Trek or from Jerry Goldsmith, perhaps it was rights issues. If you care about good Star Trek writing and characters, Star Trek Resurgence achieves Telltale style of story driven entertainment. I hope they can make a sequel with more integrated gameplay features and better presentation.

In einer spannenden Story erlebt man "die Bürde des Kommandos" und trifft Entscheidungen für die gesamte Crew. Die Geschwindigkeit ist gerade auf dem Balance-Akt zwischen Stress & Spannung. Sehr gut getroffen. Wobei man sich manchmal eine kleine Pause wünscht statt den zweiten Story-Strang sofort spielen zu müssen.
Ich hoffe, dass es irgendwann einmal einen Nachfolger gibt oder eine Art DLC mit dem man die Story weiterführen kann (ohne zu spoilern: Es gäbe noch einiges zu tun).
Kritikpunkte:
- Die Steuerung mit der Maus ist teilweise sehr träge
- Manche Gesprächsoptionen wirken seltsam, wenn man den ganzen Text der Antwort lesen könnte, wäre es einfacher die Antwort zu wählen, die man wirklich geben will.
Für den Nachfolger wäre es schön:
- Reisezeiten einführen, in denen man durch da Schiff gehen kann und mit der Crew reden kann, so könnte man vielleicht Dinge die man "offiziell" gesagt hat im Zweiergespräch erklären und die Interaktion mit der Crew vertiefen. Eventuell einige Missverständnisse klären oder aber die Crew besser kennen lernen um sie besser einschätzen zu können. Für jene, die das nicht möchten, könnte man die Reisezeit überspringbar machen.
- Zugang zu den Personalakten, da man durch die relativ kurzen Interaktionen nicht wirklich viel über die Besatzung erfährt, was besonders wichtig wäre, wenn man einen Nachfolge-Offizier bestimmen muss.
- Multiplayer: Statt beide Story-Stränge zu spielen, könnte man optional erlauben, dass ein anderer Spieler den zweiten Story-Strang spielt und so hätte man ein Coop-Spiel mit Wiederspielwert.
- Option der Phaser "Stun" oder "Töten" sollte immer gegeben sein
- In einem "Captain's Log" könnte man Notizen machen, selbst schreiben oder vorgegebene Notizen aus dem Spiel (Informationen)

Game is glitchy, and the movement of characters in cutscences is laggy. Looks really bad and very slow boring start. Mini games are tedious. Weird thing happens when fps drops suddleny then goes up, very noticable Wish I could refund this.
Great game overall, really enjoyed it. It's set during my favorite era (roughly TNG/VOY) in terms of story dynamics so if you are a fan, this is a must play. Some tricorder parts are annoying because you can easily get stuck. I would have welcomed more ship/bridge action than away missions, but I get that added to the variety. I wish we had a better way to handle choices so I could replay the game making different ones. The way it's setup right now, it doesn't motivate me to replay the game with all the annoying parts (tricorder, stealth, etc...), but that's just me.

It's not in canon since it introduces new characters but this game feels like a long immersive movie in the star trek franchise! The cinematics are good even though this game came out a while ago. There's even a setting for easy combat if you want to focus on the dialogues and the story. It's a delight to interact with Mister Spock! A sequel to this game would be welcome
After almost two hours in game here is my verdict: This is more that of an episode of Startrek than a real game, there is not much real gameplay and the walking around the ship is sufferable. It is ok, the story is ok but that`s about it. Mediocre at best.

Very glitchy, and the graphics are dated. For a game that sells itself as multi-choice, it’s very linear. The whole game — from the facial expressions and pathfinding to the bugs — feels unfinished. In some scenarios, you just have to stand there and no enemies spawn, and in the “sneak” parts you can simply walk past them. This game has nothing on games like Detroit: Become Human.
Widly impressive. Very fun. I was maining this alongside KCD2 which is massive... yet still came back to this constantly. Should have more free roam if they ever make a future one - but wow especially for a studio of this size.
If you like choice driven stories this is great. If you like Star Trek this is great. If you just want to try something new / experience new stories this game has so much character!

Star Trek: Resurgence is exactly the kind of format Star Trek has needed in gaming for years.
The story driven framework is appropriate for the franchise because it focuses on diplomacy, moral conflict, crew interactions, and tough choices instead of just phaser fights. The crew feels authentically Starfleet, the tone respects the universe, and it genuinely feels like participating in an episode arc. I really hope this is only the beginning.
This is good Trek, it really scratches my Star Trek itch.

An excellent Kurtzman-free Star Trek adventure!
I'm not someone to care too much about the technical state of the game, including animations.
But the dialogue? It has a bad case of post-ME2 bioware style where the chosen dialogue options lead to results completely at odds with what it seems at first glance to be and I cannot stand that in a choices matter game. Nevermind that you can't save scum so can't at all correct obvious mistakes.
Buy this on a sale, sure, for the experience. But stay well away from it otherwise. It's a technical and design mess.

After 25 minutes, the game was so bad that I had to stop.
-Graphics are hideous it looks like it was made 15+ years ago. I thought it was a problem on my end but after watching YouTube videos I know it's not me, it's the game!
-Animations are nonexistent, people standing almost in T-pose in a corridor, not moving. It's looks so fake, so empty...
-The character's movements are so heavy...
-All the characters I've met so far are crybabies. -_-
-No key remapping
-No graphical settings other than a general adjustment. (FYI the graphics were set to maximum during my playthrough and even then, it was ugly AF)

FR 🔷 J'adore les jeux narratifs avec des QTE, des choix à faire et des fins multiples. C'est vraiment mon truc. J'étais tellement contente de jouer à [b]Star Trek: Resurgence[/b] que ça me fait mal de le dire : il est mauvais.

-Les animations sont inexistantes, les personnages restent plantés là, presque en position de T, dans un couloir, sans bouger. Ça a l'air tellement faux, tellement vide...
-Les déplacements sont tellement lourds...
-Tous les personnages que j'ai rencontrés jusqu'à présent sont des pleurnichards. -_-
-Clavier QWERTY uniquement, on ne peut pas réattribuer les touches.
-Pas de réglage graphique hormis un réglage généralisé (pour info, c'était réglé sur "maximum" et même là c'est trop moche).

I'm almost 5 hours into the story at the time of this writing, and I've already recommended it to my friends who are Star Trek fans as an entertaining, interactive, animated Star Trek episode. It started out feeling very simplistic, but as it went on and I got more involved in the story, I found I was actually having fun. Good natured, wholesome fun.
EDIT: After finishing the game, I can say that it's a 7/10 for me.
-Very few bugs or technical issues, almost none in fact.
-Voice acting is very good, with some voice actors you'll recognize. I recognized Elias Toufexis right away from Deus Ex (Adam), and Ali Hillis From Mass Effect (Liara). You may recognize others, it seems the cast has done a ton of anime in the past.
-The directing and cinematography stuff was very well done - you really feel like you're in an episode of Star Trek a lot of the time.
- The story was pretty good, it wasn't obvious or boring.
Although the ending was satisfying, it did leave some unanswered questions. Maybe a set-up for a second game?
this is a pretty fun game i like the interactions and how the choices determine the out come. just wish the graphics were better. the animation is a pretty basic for this day in age tech. if the graphics were better this would be a 10 of 10 game for me
Overall, I really enjoyed Star Trek: Resurgence. It's faithful to the TNG era, and has a great cameo with Jonathan Frakes, and an impressively close impersonation of Leonard Nimoy. Some of the interactions/gunplay (or, phaser-play, I suppose) are a bit janky, but I didn't want it to be a twitchy shooter. The parts I enjoyed were the moral choices, and while they don't always land 100%, there are some thoughtful decisions to make, with visible consequences.
If you're a 90s Star Trek fan, or just want something a little different with a nice story, I can happily recommend this title. I have my fingers crossed we'll see a sequel.

Not perfect (graphics/performance not great, a bit too pushy in terms of dialogue options and outcomes) but overall it did feel like playing your own Star Trek episode. It starts off slow but once you're settled in the pace picks up pretty well, and the game's story branching usually (with some exceptions) seems to respect Starfleet / TNG inspired moral choices, which I really appreciated. If you like Star Trek and you want an interactive story / enjoy Telltale Games, give this a shot. Technically playable on Steam Deck but performance is very rough even on low settings.

Jeu très décevant, aussi bien dans son gameplay que dans ses mécaniques, qui restent extrêmement limitées. Mais le plus gros problème vient clairement de l’histoire.
Pour un jeu basé sur les choix, c’est un échec : la fin dépend uniquement de trois décisions majeures. Tout le reste sert à gérer les relations avec les PNJ, ce qui est totalement inutile tant ces relations sont facilement réversibles, soit par le scénario, soit en les flattant pendant deux dialogues.
La conclusion est particulièrement frustrante. Il n’y a que deux fins, presque identiques. Oui, il y a bien une scène après la bataille, mais elle est vide de sens : elle n’apporte strictement aucune réponse. On apprend juste qu’on a battu les méchants, à un prix élevé certes, mais sans la moindre explication.
Aucune réponse sur la bioformation, aucune indication sur la possibilité de la changer, on ne sait même pas si une tentative a été faite. Tout ce qui a été teasé pendant le jeu — le fait que ce ne soit peut-être pas définitif — est simplement ignoré, comme si les scénaristes avaient oublié leur propre intrigue.
Ce n’est pas une fin digne de Star Trek. L’intrigue n’est résolue qu’en partie, sans conséquences claires ni véritable conclusion. Même certains Call of Duty proposent des fins plus impactantes et mieux construites.
En résumé : grosse déception. Je voulais m’immerger davantage dans l’univers Star Trek, mais ce jeu a produit l’effet inverse.
Ne perdez pas votre argent : le jeu est sans intérêt. Regardez plutôt la série, ce sera bien plus enrichissant.

一言で言うと「決断の重さと責任」を体験するゲーム。
我々が視聴しているスタートレック。大局を左右する重要な場面でピカード艦長は、シスコ大佐は、パイク船長はどんな決断を下すのか。ハラハラドキドキしながら見守っていたその決断を…プレイヤーは宇宙艦の副長という立場で下すことになります。
外交の場においての発言をどうするか、大勢を救うため部下の命を危険に晒すのか、艦長の決断に従うべきなのか…
僅かな時間制限の中で可能な限り熟考して選択肢を選ぶ。本当にその選択は間違ってなかったのか？部下や目の前の相手はそれでもあなたを信頼してくれるのか？重くのしかかる結果を突きつけられ、それにどう向き合うのか？そういった点において非常に緊張感のあるゲームだと感じました。
また一方で、もう一人の主人公は下士官。こちらはエンジニアの仕事や上陸任務などがメインで、上級士官とはまた違う「現場での判断」が求められます。ただ、こちらもまた重い決断を迫られる場面が多々あります。
ちなみに下士官のほうはアクション要素、というかステルスゲーやFPS的な撃ち合いなどのシーンもあり、個人的にちょっと苦戦するところもありました。ただ失敗してもその場でリトライできる親切設計。
スタートレックの新作エピソードを1本視聴するような感覚であり、しかし要所要所の決断は自分で行う…それによってストーリーにより入り込める、艦隊士官の一員としての責任を感じつつ物語を楽しめる作品になっていると思いました。
Oddly enough i started playing this after starting to rewatch TNG and literally a couple of days after i watched the "The last Oupost" episode (S01E05) Really enjoyed playing this!! it was like being in an episode of TNG, fully immersed me in the world of trek.
Had a couple of crashes at times but nothing else, gameplay was good, story line was good, probably one of the best trek games out there, would love to see more like this.
About a ~10 hour game, but puts you in a interactive Star Trek movie. Pretty good. Small technical bugs, but overall the experience is pretty good.

There's some little jittering or the volume of some lines can be inconsistent.
With what I've played so far, I've been smiling a lot. The first "episode" in the docking bay was well executed, tense with a wonderful presentation. I'm very impressed and would recommend this to any Star Trek fan~!

No es un juego clasico a lo sumo. Es como estar visualizando un episodio de star trek. Pero aqui tu diriges el guion. Alto componente psicologico e intuición para tomar las decisiones adecuadas. Tienes que ser muy treki para entenderlo plenamente.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this game. It feels like a long, classic Trek episode, with interesting characters and solid writing, using the familiar Telltale-style gameplay formula. However, it does suffer from poor sound mixing at times, which can be annoying.
I've played a lot of Star Trek games -some good, some terrible. This is the first one I've seen since Judgment Rites that *absolutely* nails the tone. I wish it ran a little smoother on Deck, but I'm having a blast with it.
Amazing game, feels like playing an episode of a 90s Trek, spot on.
Have to say the graphic a bit uncany vally and some of the quick time annoying but the voice acting amazing and the meat of the game the story and how you effect it means I not only am so happy I played this game I would play any sequal in a heart beat. More please.

10/10 no notes. Doesn't stray from hard decisions, and it's almost impossible to please everyone. The story feels Trek in a way that a lot of newer Trek shows don't (everyone is pretty competent), and I found myself wishing that Disco had turned this into a season-long episode instead of the season-long mcguffin hunting.

Performance stuff (Steam Deck): High and Maximum graphics look basically indistinguishable (I toggled a few times and... nope, same difference). 720p rendering to 1080p on Max got me 30 - 60 FPS through most of the game, except for one or two spots where I dropped to 8 FPS, so I just paused it and switched to Standard until that section was over. The space distortion gets bad FPS for some reason but after the first section it was fine.
One of the worst games in my Steam Collection. It supposed to take around 10 hours to complete, with 95% watching a bad movie, 3% of mind numbing repetitive puzzles and 2% wishing it was over.
It’s heavily themed in 2020 wokeness. Strong independent women who save the universe and dumb men that screw everything up.
