Muy buen juego. La primera vez que lo jugué, apenas sabía nada y la experiencia fue increíble. Estaba todo el rato con nervios en el cuerpo por lo que pudiese hacer cada bicho. La música es perfecta, ambienta muy bien y es pegadiza. Visualmente, me gusta mucho cómo se ve el juego. Te da una sensación inquietante, y es un estilo muy característico (el propio diseño de spooky es simple, pero muy icónico).
Lo peor que tiene el juego es que se acaba volviendo muy repetitivo, ya que básicamente solo tienes que correr todo el rato, pero tampoco es muy largo por lo que no se hace pesado, y los DLCs (el hospital Karamari y la casa de muñecas) cambian el modo de juego, dando una experiencia refrescante y muy divertida. Otra cosa mala es que en la traducción española solo se traducen los menús; los textos de las notas y de cuando spooky te habla siguen en inglés. Personalmente no me ha resultado un problema, pero entiendo que para otros sea molesto.
En conclusión, lo recomiendo por ser bastante divertido, es un juego sencillito que puedes jugarte como descanso de juegos que requieran más tiempo, en pequeños ratos libres. También tiene un modo infinito que le da algo de rejugabilidad, con bichos nuevos bastante chungos. Yo me lo he platinado 2 veces y es de mis juegos favoritos.

Même après quelques années, ça reste un bon jeu quoique parfois fort répétitif quand on tente d'obtenir tous les succès. Le mode endless est frustrant car on peut se retrouver bloqué par plusieurs mobs qui nous mènent à une mort certaines (ce qui m'a empêché de débloquer tous les succès (et oui, quitter et recharger au dernier check point ne marche pas, on recommence de zéro)).
Malgré ça, si j'ai tenté tous les succès c'est que j'ai beaucoup apprécié ce jeu !
Les DLC sont chouettes, pas trop courts ni trop longs et si on veut obtenir toutes les fins et/ou tous les succès, ils peuvent être joués rapidement une fois qu'on les a terminé une première fois ,cela laisse le temps d'y jouer en mode découverte au début et puis de rapidement les refaire.
Une jeu simple, peu gourmand, que je recommande !

this game is pretty good
it has both better and worse things to the original, id recommend playing both games, as some monsters are buffed but others are nerfed, also the healing is really really fast, and the dolls in the dollhouse are 3d models instead of real doll images, which kinda takes me out of the dollhouse dlc as a whole.
I like that in endless mode the monsters have introductory sections, that was very nice, i also think specimen 3, 8 and 12 are better in every way imaginable, while specimen 10 is worse in every way imaginable

yeah so over all id say playing both versions is the best option.

Faithful to the original, but is it worth it?

I would say yes if you are willing to play all of the content in the game, this includes Katamari Hospital and Spooky's Dollhouse. The game includes both and they are both very good, which is a nice package. If you just want to play the classic experience, I wouldn't mind the original, but I played the original years ago and when I booted it up again to try it, the framerate in the original was quite bad, I am not sure if this was Windows 11 or the old GameMaker engine, but whatever. The graphical difference between the original and this 'HD' version isn't big, and I was honestly not suprised, but only get the game if you want to play through all of the content. If not, then play the original.

This game is not bad, great parody on most horror games and their reliance on jumpscares, and the two DLCs included with this game really show how physhological horror games can shine much better than cheap jumpscare games. Honestly I would say that this is more of a 'relaxing' horror game, sounds weird but going through rooms has some weird vibe I can't really explain. Yes there are horror elements and I got scared in some parts, but the scares were never cheap.

It's like 8.5/10 imo

Personally I overall do like Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion, though it has some problems.
The goal of the game is to traverse one thousand rooms in Spooky's mansion, which sounds fine on the surface. Thing is that a lot of the rooms have nothing in them, and the room layouts often repeat.
Due to how many rooms there are, you're most likely constantly sprinting, to get through the boring and repetitive rooms, to get to the unique ones.
Because you're constantly sprinting regardless, when a monster (called Specimens) does appear and chase you, it feels mostly meaningless. They're all slower than you are and will usually never catch up.
Even if a monster does catch up to you, they need to attack you multiple times for you to die. Your health also passively regenerates, and your stamina bar fully fills up every time you go through a door.
All of those things together make monster encounters feel non threatening.

What I did however find unsettling in this game, is oddly enough most of the background noises, along with the atmosphere in some of the unique rooms. For example a school at night, where you find notes talking about a ghost that abducts children who wander school after hours. Another example is an area that looks like a metal torture chamber, with multiple rooms covered in rust, where you find notes with unsettling contents, along with a piece of flesh that sounds like a crying baby.. Also the two extra modes that I talk about below.

You at some point in the game also gain an axe that you can swing, though it ultimately feels a bit disappointing, since its only use is to break obstacles that you only see right after you get it, along with reflecting attacks from a specific boss monster later in the game.

So more about the monsters called Specimens, they all do have unique designs and their own backstory. Unfortunately they lack diversity in function, whenever a new one appears all I can think is "Oh here is another thing to run away from in the exact same way I've been doing for the entire game". Some of the monsters do break this pattern and actually change how you handle them, for example there is one that forces you to be slow, cause it will outpace you if you go too far away from it.. There is also a different monster that attacks more often if you aren't looking at it, meaning you'll be running backwards. There are also a few in the other modes that act differently, for example teleporting, being able to instantly kill you, or being tied to a specific event.

There is another room I would like to mention, a reoccuring room that you occasionally find yourself in multiple times. Basically it is a hallway that loops every time you go through it, and to unlock the exit door in the room you'll have to loop through the hallway multiple times. Nothing in this room ever changed whenever I came into it again, so after the first time it felt like it added nothing and was only annoying to loop through.

Everything I've talked about so far was the main story mode, so what about the three other modes?

Karamari Hospital: This is my favourite content in the entire game, it takes place at a hospital with three floors which you are set out to explore. It focuses on horror themes a lot more, and the monster encounters actually feel threatening. This is also the only mode to have a New Game+ option, which gives you some extra story lore and a few more things to interact with, along with a new ending.

The Dollhouse: Set in a very fancy yet old household, where you're tasked with exploring while keeping a doll with you. I do overall like this one as well, since it is in one area, though the monsters are a slight downgrade to the hospital. This one is also important to get closure on the story of the game.

Endless Mode: A mode where you start out with a sword and traverse an infinite number of rooms, pretty much to make your own score of how far you can get. Luckily it is less repetitive than the main mode, since it uses rooms and monsters from all the modes, including a few completely new Specimens.. Though this ultimately falls a bit flat due to lack of balancing, and it still has the annoying rooms I complained about in the main game section.

For all of these modes I'd recommend playing them in this order: Main mode first, Karamari Hospital second, then finally Dollhouse. I'm saying this cause of the story beats, main mode is the start of the story and the Dollhouse is the conclusion, along with Karamari Hospital taking place between the two.

One thing I've neglected to comment on so far is the story of the game, which without spoilers I'll mention that I do like it, it seems simple at first then gets a bit unique when you dive into it.

Despite my criticism I did enjoy the latter half in the end, though I can't deny that the start of it was rough. Those one thousand rooms really did make me sleepy as I was mindlessly running through them.
In the end though, considering the price of this game I can fairly enough recommend it for the other two modes alone, I enjoyed my time with them, and how the entire story tied itself together through the main and extra modes.
