This the best game I played in a while. It is so simple yet you have so many path you can take to win a game. Every round feels different, the different character with their different powers really feels like you are playing another game each time. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a game to pass the game and love big numbers on the screen.

No saves mid-run, runs take 20-50 mins depending on how many fights you pick (diagonal map movements give +1 fight basically), heavily RNG dependent, very 1-dimensional (stack block, figure out dmg afterwards you'll basically never lose except against bleed maybe).

There's just not enough content here to warrant a positive review, as well as for a couple other reasons:

[*]tooltips are buggy and will often show info of other UI elements that shifted over during stage progression for some reason. This also prevents you from gathering info about effects happening on-screen and can and probably will cause you to lose in your early attempts.
[*]The order of resolution is off-throwing, both you and enemies will show (incoming) dmg and the block they're gaining, however these are incorrect if you/enemies use weakness or frail it will change AFTER their turn which sometimes causes you to take damage you weren't expecting, and thus not allowing you to use runes at the correct fights. You get used to this eventually but it's annoying.
[*]Fortified (retain 50% of block each turn) and crazy blockstacking is often just a free win, if you're patient enough, which sucks a LOT. It will double the duration of your runs but is often the only way to win runs due to heavy RNG reliance for the game's gameplay. You just want fortified every run and it thus becomes a determining factor on winning or losing a run solely based on you finding this buff in some way before the final boss (usually a rune)

All that said I'll still play it for 100% achievements however it's not worth 8 bucks, maybe 3-4 if it's on sale, otherwise just get Luck-be-a-Landlord it's just a better game in every way
