When I first started up this game, I couldn't understand why it had mixed reviews. It seemed pretty amazing, especially because of the music & visual design.
I enjoyed it until I came to a part that I just couldn't advance past because you have an extremely narrow & curvy corridor in which you can't touch the walls (if you do you have to restart, by manually going back to the starting point) and you have to account for sudden waves pushing you against those walls at random.
I've tried again and again, and I wanted to try again at some point in the future, but after a year of having the game take up space on my hard drive and me still not feeling anything besides frustration when I think about it, I've decided to bury this game for good. Like especially the manually going back to the start, it is just such an absurd, super frustrating, senseless waste of time idea. Although up until that point the game was relaxing, because of this point I think the tag "relaxing" should be removed from this game.
I don't really understand where the negative reviews come from, sure the game is bright and can cause some eyestrain but other than that it is just like the other 2 except this time there are some fun missions and little side quests you can do.
Some parts of the game I can see being frustrating but so far they have been mostly optional; this is still a worthy sequel of a chill indie game I found because of a free early iteration I was able to play for free on google as a kid.
This game is cheep and a good time killer so I'd recomend it to anyone who is looking for something chill to play in their free time.
P.S the design for the green sparkle is awesome but at some point it's mouth stops closing properly, you're welcome
Has an option on launch for soundtrack, that when selected launches command prompt and runs a script that opens a folder in the game files with all the music as mp3's.

Pushing into the third entry for the series, there is an ironic lack of evolution in gameplay and a odd regression in input/controller support.
Sparkle 3 is my least enjoyed game in the series, although they are all good. This one has added puzzle like elements in the form of a maze. It has an objective in order to complete each level. It feels more like work than fun. I won't even bother letting my kids play this one because its just that tedious. Sounds good, plays good. Looks great, even ten years later in 2025. If you liked the other Sparkle games and really want to expand that content in a slightly different direction than Sparkle 3 will do that for you. I recommend you try Sparke EVO and Sparkle Zero first.

Some annoying levels in this game makes for a frustrating experience which is not quite hard either so is not even satisfying to acomplish. Any developement from the first to the second game were discarded dispite the game needing some kind of evolution and at the same time all redeeming qualities the first and second game had are not even present here.

Больше - не всегда лучше. В сравнении с предыдущей игрой серии, Sparkle 2 Evo, эта часть заметно уступает в плане получаемого от игры удовольствия.
В плане наполнения контентом, Genesis значительно больше предыдущих игр Sparkle. Тут и прокачка продумана лучше, и уровни крупнее. Все это можно было бы отнести к плюсам игры, однако... Большие уровни принесли за собой откровенно душные моменты, секции некоторых локаций ничего кроме раздражения не вызывают.
Ачивки... С ними у этой части беда. Если занимаетесь achievement-hunting'ом, советую сразу разобраться с файлами сейвов и научиться их редактировать. Для получения платины в этой игре честным путём, вы будете вынуждены начинать игру заново как минимум два раза, а скорее всего все три. Всему виной ачивки за максимальную прокачку спаркла через использование генов определенного цвета. Помимо ачивок за унылый фарм максимального уровня, вы с огромной вероятностью пропустите достижение за максимальное превосходство в дуэли. Ах да, если вы уже прошли уровень и сделали все квесты на нем, переиграть не получится. Для полноценного перепрохождения уровней надо начинать игру заново, нулевым персонажем. Некоторые достижения в этой игре откровенно неадекватные. Для получения максимального удовольствия от прохождения, советую один раз пройти игру до конца и не пытаться получить все достижения, удалить после финального босса и забыть.
Несмотря на все проблемы, сама игра в общем и целом добротная. Но увы, не идеал. Если бы разработчики взяли за основу Sparkle 2 Evo, расширив уровни без добавления духоты с шипами и прочими нововведениями Genesis'а, добавили новую прокачку и убрали дурацкие ачивки - была бы лучшая игра в серии. А так, лучше ZERO и хуже Evo. По скидке можно взять.
I was enjoying Sparkle 3 up until I got to the Spiky Rivers quest. Whereas the previous games, and start of this one, were very relaxing and enjoyable, this quest is very unforgiving and requires precision controls - not something that the Sparkle games are known for. It soured me on the whole game, and apparently there's similar quests later on which are just no fun at all. So, yeah. Can't recommend.

I was expecting a nice relaxing, slow-paced experience; I got confusion, frustration, and rage instead.
First two areas are mostly easy and enjoyable. Your critter drives like a bus but slowly gets more agile. Then they throw you into the third area of "spikey rivers" and expect you to expertly maneuver your slug down a long path just wider than it through currents and spikey trees that blend into the background and make you start over if you so much as come close to them. After half an hour of attempts, I got halfway through and ragequit. I came back later to try again and after another half hour ragequit again.
You can't bypass it. You have to get through it in one attempt. Could I have evolved my critter to better handle this challenge if I had known about it beforehand? Maybe - too bad you can't change your upgrades without restarting. If you look at the achievements, about half the people who get to this area make it past. I honestly have no idea why they decided to make something so aggravating in a game that's supposed to be about relaxation.
The other quests weren't a whole lot better. Save these eggs from the predators? Okay, great. I feel vaguely heroic. Ok, now eat all the eggs because the omnipotent power says he doesn't like them anymore? What? That doesn't make any sense and immediately pulled me out of the experience.
Other than that, the in-game text is poorly translated with grammar errors in more or less every blurb. Overall, it feels very unpolished and unprofessional. The graphics are the only thing it's got going for it (they are quite pretty); the music is nice for five minutes but gets old very quickly.
3/10 with 6 stars for the first two levels and then -3 for the third. Only get if you're an absolute fan of the series.

[i]Sparkle 3 Genesis[/i] is better than its predecessor, due to its clear direction and manual revolution mechanic. Still, the product instantaneously loses all its entertainment value when players reach the unbeatable level three. Whether it is due to a design or technical flaw, said level's quota can not be completed to full due to there being missing elements in the mission area, therefore making progress come to a screeching and permanent halt. This video game is considered unplayable and unpolished to an apparent fault due to said listed error.

Геймплейно хуже: часть заданий должна быть в 5 раз легче и в 3 раза короче, финальная "битва" с левиафаном вообще за гранью добра и зла по всратости геймплея и тому что если вы "неправильно" выкачали гены своего микроба то пройти это чудо крайне тяжело. Ощущение будто разработчик сам это не проходил и не тестировал.
Графика по сравнению с предыдущей частью разъедает глаза.
Пройти ради ачивок? Только если вы обладаете хоть немного аналитическим мышлением, сможете разобраться в структуре файлов сохранений и сможете редактировать их. Я смог и потратил времени относительно немного, а люди в гайдах на полном серьезе пишут что фармить ачивки с помощью честного гринда займет около 20 часов. Это ненормально для игры такого формата

A complete waste of time and money. After grinding my way through two of the other sparkle frustrations, I managed to summon the will power several years later to try the third iteration of the same game. You would think since this is the third title that the bugs, lack of explanation, confusion and spelling errors would be fixed. Well that couldn't be further from the truth. Things seam to have gotten worse. Only got to the second level before hitting a wall. No explanation how to progress forward and complete the task. The Spiky Rivers mission is a complete anomaly. No explanation how to navigate through the area. Maybe I grew too fast because I just cannot go through without being launched off into the upper level. The game is supposed to be relaxing and aesthetically pleasing but instead it's just a repetitive piece of crap that makes no sense. You will be stuck wandering aimlessly wondering wtf do I do now? what a shame, wish I could get a refund. These jackasses need to fix this bogus game cause it was a huge disappointment. Spiky Rivers should go kill itself, thanks. Uninstalled.

The idea is good and it's pretty. But I can't finish it because of the bad level design.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Ah, Sarkle 3 Genesis, me play and me have big thought! Game look so pretty, like sparkly unicorn in disco party. But oh no, once me start playing, me feel like confused penguin at salsa dance.
Firstly, navigation be like treasure hunt in dark cave with blindfold. Me press buttons and suddenly end up in space with alien friends – me just want to find main menu, not intergalactic picnic! It's like trying to find noodle in haystack.
And difficulty spike? More like mountain Everest with no climbing gear! Me think me good at games, but Sarkle 3 Genesis laugh at me. It's like game say, "You think you gamer? Ha! Watch this!" Me die more times than potato in hot oil.
Visuals, though, like candy for eyes. Colors explode like confetti at birthday party. But gameplay be like trying to eat soup with fork – frustrating and messy.
Overall, Sarkle 3 Genesis is like rollercoaster ride with broken seatbelt. Me scream, but not because having fun, because feeling lost and scared. If you enjoy confusion and frustration, then go ahead, play Sarkle 3 Genesis. Me, on other hand, need nap to recover from gaming trauma.
I don't understand why the developers made the navigation into the game so stupid.
You just need a start button. don't make people do a tutorial! half the fun in the game is figuring out how to play.

Really bad game. Even though the controls are better then in Sparkle 2, everything else is worse.

This is a really relaxing game where you are a weird creature and need to evolve. Out of all of the sparkle games, this is my least favourite. It is still not a bad game and will still be enjoyed. It takes about 6.5 hours to complete the game 100% and unlock all the achievements.
I will leave a cat here, friends who pass by can pet it and give it a thumbs up and awards. Meow!

Not a good sequel. It fails to do anything the original didn't already do, and in some cases fails to capture the same feeling entirely. Play the original instead.

本作は良くも悪くも奇をてらったのか、スネークゲームの被ったイライラ棒みたいなゲームになっちゃった
基本的には前作同様、自機でエレメント食い散らかしながら
ミッションクリアを目指していく感じにはなるんだけど…
本作は不親切・理不尽な要素ばかりが目立つ
ミッションの情報や条件についてだが
敵がおるとこを攻撃受けずに通過していけ・敵に敵ぶつけてFFさせろ・どっかにあるエレメント回収しろ みたいな感じで
めちゃくちゃ曖昧な表現になってる為、肝心の敵がどこにいるか分からないから端から端まで捜索したり
肝心の回収するエレメントは限定されたエリアのみで回収判定があったり
敵がたくさんいるところを攻撃受けずに通過しないと行けない時は
一度でも食らったら強制ワープさせられて巻き戻されたりする仕様なせいで、実質ノーコンクリア方式だったり
だいたい強制ワープさせられるような所の操作は
緩急つけた細かい操作とかも要求されるから、人によってはマジで電撃イライラ棒ばりに発狂する
全体的に分かりづらい・めんどくさいって感じのミッションばかり
前作がカジュアルで遊びやすかったのに反して、本作はとことん不親切な作りになってるので
個人的には納得のいかない部分は、枚挙にいとまがないレベル
ただイライラ棒とか他のゲームと違って、レベルアップ要素で自機を強化できるし
上述の強制ワープゾーンでやり直ししても、めちゃくちゃ巻き戻るぐらい先の長い通路は少ないので
マゾゲーの中では簡単な部類に入るとは思うので、マゾ入門書（？）としては遊びやすいとは思う

Та ещё интересная хрень, но игру прошёл. XD
Подвох в игре - для финального Босса нужна прокачка на красные гены (проверил и вышло, что синие так же сойдут, но не зелёные), когда всю оставшуюся игру не как не обойтись без зелёных, а на пару уровнях нужны синие.
Итог, если потратил все очки прокачки до Босса концовки не видать.
I was expecting to chill and play a laid back game that felt like cell stage of Spore.
I instead got stuck in tutorial forever, even tried reinstalling the game and playing with different settings.
It says to use the radar to find the "hidden object" but there is no radar and I ended up wandering around a pane of nothingness forever.

It's a very low-energy, relaxing, casual game that can be played mouse-only or with a controller.
It's a good game to play while doing something else. You know when you're doing something or watching something but you want to play a game or do something else at the same time. This is one of those games that is perfect to play during those moments.
It's not a good game to play completely on its own with nothing else to do or watch or whatever, at least I can't imagine playing a game like this with nothing else on a 2nd monitor or something else happening outside of the game. I'd be playing a game like this while something else is going on.

游戏很简单，视觉效果不错，算是集合了前两作的玩法和特点了。玩法整体还是偏休闲，适合摸鱼。挂挂卡也不错。不过不打骨折还是不推荐购买。
The best game in the Sparkle series in my opinion. A little tiresome to get all the achievements, but still very good.

작은 생명에서 시작하여 주변의 뭔가 세포인지 뭐시긴지 모를것들을 먹으면서 성장합니다.
먹고먹고 먹다보면 레벨업을 하게 되며 레벨업을 통해 획득한 포인트로
3가지 스탯을 올려서 공격력, 방어력, 스피드 등의 스탯들을 성장시킬 수 있죠.
주변을 돌아다니면서 소용돌이를 타고 위아래 지역으로 이동을 할 수 있으며
해당 월드의 퀘스트들을 수행하여 다른 월드로 이동할 수 있죠.
월드를 이동하면서 다른 생명을 마주할 수 있으며 이들을 사냥하고
그들이 드랍하는 세포들을 수집하는 것도 가능합니다.
진행에 따라 새로운 세포를 얻기도 하고
컨트롤이 필요한 지역을 탐험하기도 합니다.
문제는 눈이 아프고 은근 이동조작이 답답하다...
아쉬운점
-그래픽이 구분하기 꽤나 까다로움
-이동 등이 조금 답답하게 느껴짐

Как и в предыдущих частях, не понятно, что ты делаешь.

JFC. The level design. It's terrible. Whoever designed the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ spiky tunnels with impossibly-close obstacles that forcibly bounce your sparkle into the deadly spikes while you're trying to fight a current should be kicked in the d!ck for hours while their unborn children cry out for mercy. And why does my Sparkle have such a yawn-fest rate of picking up the food? I get it, you upgrade your sparkle and it eats faster. But it takes sooooo looooonnnggg before this is a remotely acceptable speed. In the meantime, the game is at a crawl and is dull and unfun.
I loved Sparkle 2, but the design on this is just rage-inducing and utterly bad. It creates false difficulty and it's just not worth continuing. Screw this game. Too bad...again, pretty art, and it could have been a good game.
I now know why it's been given away for free multiple times and why it's always on sale. Unless you just want to be angry at the sheer unfairness of level design choices clearly made by a petulant 14-year-old shut-in, don't buy this.
It's a really nice relaxing game so I'd recommend it to anyone who just wants to sit down and chill for a bit. The game is pretty cheap so even though the gameplay itself is quite repetitive I'd say it's worth it.
This is better than Sparkle zero, but its worse than Sparkle 2. I feel like the dev(s)? got lazy with this one, and just hoped to ride off the success of its predecessor. unless you REALLY love Sparkle 2, I cant recommended this one. And trying to get all the achievements would take an absurd amount of time investment.
