Such a significant step up over the first game. This is a really solid game. The soundtrack is a classic, and it has great act/level variety and mechanics.

It's up to personal preference whether people like this one or 3 & Knuckles better. I think Sonic 2 consistently has better acts, while 3&K has more content. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I prefer Sonic 3 & Knuckles

Definitely gets a recommend from me, go try the Christian Whitehead version as it's superior. This one was delisted from Steam anyways.

Tras la fama del [u][url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/gequi_/recommended/71113/]Sonic original[/url][/u], Sega quiso aprovecharse con la gallina de los huevos de oro, así que poco después publicaron Sonic 2. En general es muy similar al anterior en casi todo, por ejemplo la música está a cargo de "Masato Nakamura" nuevamente, con algunas [u][url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeHui01Svjo&list=PLB1223F61F39B601C&index=11]melodías memorables[/url][/u]

Sin embargo algunas cosas cambian:

- Tails, nuevo personaje que puede ser controlado por el jugador 2 de forma cooperativa. Lamentablemente no puede volar como ocurriría en la secuela. Además en esta versión digital se echa en falta a Knucles, otro personaje controlable, el cual se podía obtener mediante un cartucho físico adicional.

- Sonic ahora tiene un ataque especial al hacer doble salto.

- Nueva habilidad de coger carrerilla pulsando abajo y al botón de saltar.

- Sonic dispone de una transformación en [u][url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3290423281]Super Saiyajin[/url][/u] (inmunidad y más velocidad) al conseguir todas las esmeraldas mágicas en las fases especiales, que ahora contienen minijuegos distintos (a parte se accede a ellas teniendo 50 anillos en los portales que aparecen en postes de resurrección). Dichos minijuegos son en formato 3D simulado bastante difícil, ya que Tails imita todo lo que hace Sonic pero con un breve retraso de tiempo. Esto significa que hay que memorizar y anticiparse a los obstáculos, no es suficiente con tener buenos reflejos. Una vez obtenidas todas las esmeraldas, para que Sonic se transforme necesita obtener 50 anillos, los cuales se consumen a cada segundo hasta que se agoten y vuelva a su estado normal.

- Gráficos y animaciones ligeramente mejorados.

- Nuevo modo de juego multijugador a pantalla partida. Cada jugador controla a un personaje e intenta vencer la carrera.

- Duración ampliada a unas 2 horas, de hecho la zona final es bastante larga y difícil.

Sin embargo no todo es positivo, en general este juego se siente casi igual que el original. No arriesga demasiado, el aspecto de los mapas, los enemigos y los jefes finales son muy similares, salvo unas pocas excepciones. Además arrastra los mismos problemas ya mencionados en su predecesor.

Conclusión: no es mal juego pero se queda corto. En Sonic 3 se nota más la evolución. De todas formas le voto negativo porque ha sido eliminado de la tienda de Steam. Es un caso similar a [u][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1547000/Grand_Theft_Auto_San_Andreas__The_Definitive_Edition/]las nuevas versiones de los antiguos GTA[/url][/u]. Al haber publicado en 2022 una remasterización ([u][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1794960/Sonic_Origins/]Sonic Origins[/url][/u]) donde se incluye este juego, ya no permiten comprar los originales por separado.

Really amazing to see such piece of history.
A game that works as a DLC for this bundle:
The SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics.
Which is basically a legal emulation bundle.
This game is originally from 1992. Very old.
And: I'm happy to see it included on Steam.
I have two main positives to say about that:
The first cool positive: The ROM is included.
Which is fantastic for the fans of emulation.
We can boot it up for example in RetroArch.
Or pretty much any other software for emu.
I can't stress enough: How awesome that is.
An actual ROM legally obtainable on Steam.
It's perfect, but let's get to the 2nd positive:
Steam Workshop is supported and It's dope.
Who would've guessed we'll get retro mods.
It's a lovely addition to the retro experience.
However there are some negatives in here:
You can't buy it anymore for weird reasons.
They released a newer collection of Sonic.
Which is arguably a truly worse collection.
Not to mention: A lot more expensive one.
I really dislike that they removed this DLC.
Which is why I had to give it a bad review.
I will change my review if they return this.

I didn't mention it in my Sonic 1 review, and I doubt I'll have space for it in my Sonic 3 review; even though I got Sonic 2 for free back in 2020 for Sega's 60th-anniversary freebie, I had to buy Sonic 1 and 3K off-sale because they announced the delisting dates of all the pre-existing classic Sonic games from digital storefronts in order to make way for the release of their upcoming Sonic Origins Collection which has the widescreen ports of Sonic 1, 2, and CD along with a new port of Sonic 3K with Michael Jackson's music removed. To be fair, I wouldn't have bought and played these games immediately if it weren't for the looming threat along with Sonic Generations and Mania, all at the same time (switching between each other when I got bored of one or was itching to play another), all within a month and a half.

[u]Tails the Fox[/u] was always a better side-kick than Luigi. He's always with us from Sonic 2 onwards, tagging along, getting crushed by everything in the level yet coming back flying with his tails, giving out hints as to what to do in certain sections, allowing little brothers around the world to control him without affecting their elder brothers' pace... he's adorable. He can't fly when playing him solo, so might as well just play [i]Sonic + Tails or lock-on Knuckles with S&K.[/i]

[u]Spin-Dash![/u] Press Down, and mash Jump to rev up your wheel up to 6 ticks and let go for a burst of speed without needing to build up momentum. You can jump after a dash to reach places you couldn't before, destroy blockades, kill enemies along the way, or even bounce off an enemy to change your trajectory at will since you'll have great control of its speed and reach once you regularly use it.

[td]Green Hill may be as polished as it is because of the number of times they tested and iterated it, but set expectations too high for the Subsequent Levels to follow up. Emerald Hill takes the concept of the 'first level' and flips it on it's head by setting restraints on itself by merely being a remix of the first level of the previous game, which helped keep expectations low as well as not letting hype dictate the pace of the game.[/td]

[td]Marble Zone didn't deliver upon the foundation that was set by Green Hill, and many seem to have had a bitter taste for the rest of the levels. Chemical Plant, on the other hand, builds onto the restrained foundation of Emerald Hill and finally pulls out all the cards, making you hooked on the intensity, speed, and classy rock-style output of the Sega Genesis sound chip with its banging theme right of the bat.[/td]

[td]Though being a water-level, it doesn't reduce the tempo of the music, still keeping the intensity high and eluding you to a path that needn't involve you touching water in any way. The foreground foliage that moves with parallax to the camera is very unpolished though... It almost feels like someone randomly placed leaves there without thinking of whether the player will ever have to stare through those shrubs if they were to go on the top route.[/td]

[td]It's here where the soundtrack finally slows down, letting you bounce around in the physics environment i.e. the definitive edition of Spring Yard. I've had horrors of playing this level from Sonic 4 on mobile, but seeing what it was originally like, though underwhelming at first, makes me see why so many people may think so fondly of it.[/td]

[td]This level is where I feel a lot of the New Super Mario Bros' [i]sky levels[/i] were inspired from, only with a severe lack of mushrooms. This is where I unfortunately halted my Sonic 2 playthrough back in 2021 as my exams were nearing, but it was a pleasant place to pick it back up again, recalling the inviting melody of this zone.[/td]

[td]It is more of a scary bridge than a cave most of the time. The main gimmick is pulling down levers and vines to open doors that are right next to them. If they took lesser time to activate and were further distanced from one another like the switches in Lava Reef Zone, I would get it, but this just butchers your speed to encourage exploration (even though there isn't much to explore). The horror theme of the song reminds me very much of The Doomsday Zone from Sonic 3K, and I like that they relate. [/td]

[td]Remade tastefully in Sonic Mania. The middle-eastern-esque theme is quite generic but has some unique motifs to call its own. Apparently, Oil being less dense than water lets Sonic jump off of it like sand while drowning in the latter...[/td]

[td]The Pop-theme hits hard on this one with the record-scratch effect, and is the spiritual successor to Star Light Zone (for the music) and Scrap Brain Zone (for the level design). Since I had [i]Rewind[/i] within my grasp at all times, the [i]Asteron badniks[/i] meant no threat to me, but I could see how they were annoying.[/td]

[td]Sky Chase Zone is literally designed for giving time for donation read-outs during a Speedrun. It's an auto-scroller that gives us [i]Tails lore[/i] with his invention, [b]Tornado,[/b] showing all the younger siblings that they had comparable IQ to the man hailed as the most intelligent Egg in the universe and that they would surpass their older siblings eventually. Baffling to see it be a major part of one of the few levels touted to be [i]'Original'[/i] in Sonic Mania.[/td]

[td]Without a doubt, my least favorite zone. It is an airship-level done injustice... ugly visuals, the constant spitting noises as mentioned in my Sonic 1 review are most abundant, the slowest and most unpleasant theme in the whole game, and has sections where you would get stuck and feel nauseated. Flying Battery from Sonic 3K outperforms this in every aspect.[/td]

[td]Infamous for having 0 rings, being a difficult two-boss fight wherein if you die, you would be sent back to the start of the game cause of not having a save feature? Well, you know the drill, I was unaffected by it due to savestates and [i]Rewind[/i], but this time, I will disclose that I couldn't for the love of God be tortured into beating this on an actual Genesis without emulator advantages, and the final verdict should reflect my bias on using these advantages to get these old games over with.[/td]

The fact that all 3 games had different ways to access special stages led to me ending up not knowing about Sonic 2's rather hidden/obscure Special Stage access point compared to the other games. I hadn't even collected a single chaos emerald during both my playthroughs as I never noticed the sparkles on the checkpoint (at least not as bad as not knowing Mania's drop-dash for 2 playthroughs either). Sonic 2 special stages are annoyingly stuttery and pixelated compared to Sonic 1 and 3 and you're constantly getting blindsided with turns. I wouldn't recommend playing this without [i]Rewind[/i] for the original ROM emulation of this game (the remasters seem to have ironed it out to a playable state).

C Соником я познакомился в 2005-2006 году через аниме-сериал "Соник-Икс транслировавшиеся тогда на канале СТС, а когда подключили интернет к компу работавший на XP в 2007-2008 году, начал знакомиться с играми по нему, начав со флэш-игр (Даже случайно по незнанию играл в хентай-вопросник). И затем переходя на 2D-игры на эмуляторе SMD и GBA до трехмерных игр Adventure, Generations и Unleashed.
Ладно, заканчиваю предисловие, приступим.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 builds upon what worked in the original game while improving upon or outright removing the things that didn't work in the original game. In every shape, way and form - Sonic 2 is the perfect sequel to Sonic 1.

Let's run it from the top. The entire game was designed around the same philosophy that Sonic 1's Green Hill Zone had, making every stage a frantic, fast paced rollercoaster with clever paths and goodies to explore. A couple of my own personal favorite zones include Aquatic Ruin Zone, Hill Top Zone and Chemical Plant Zone. On top of that - they trimmed unnecessary fat from Sonic 1 in almost every single zone, that being the fact that almost every zone in the game only lasts 2 acts! Although not every stage is perfect - I particularly dislike the likes of Casino Night and Oil Ocean, and especially Metropolis Zone, being the only zone with 3 acts in the entire game, hence why I said "most".

I could go on more about the things this game added - a second playable character, that being Tails, the addition of Super Sonic, the reworked special stages (which I actually kind of dislike), etc. but there isn't a whole lot that I can't say more about Sonic 2 that hasn't been said before.

There is one thing I will say though - I really wish they released the Christian Whitehead version of the game that's currently available on mobile, as that version has full widescreen support and extra content like the restoration of the cut Hidden Palace Zone, but I'm not the first and certainly won't be the last to mention that. Despite that - the original Mega Drive release, which this is running on an officially Sega endorsed emulator, is still a good time to be had. If you haven't - you should, especially while it's free thanks to Sega's 60th anniversary sale.

The first Sonic game I ever played and an absolute classic. While Sonic 1 started the series, Sonic 2 truly got it going. It expanded on everything that made the first game a "blast" to play while also refining most the unnecessary slowness. 2=Not a perfect game - there's quite a bit of "retro BS" in there, but a good game nonetheless.

So I got a lot of feedback on my review of the original [i]Sonic the Hedgehog[/i]. It largely consisted of tantrums and gross misunderstandings of what a review is actually intended to be, but it was feedback nonetheless. I can’t speak from the perspective of somebody living in the Dark Age of 1991, but I can pretty confidently state that [i]Sonic[/I] isn’t a lot of fun in 2018. Maybe I didn’t make it clear that I think it has nicer graphics than many, more modern games featuring similar styles, but it definitely isn’t a good or well-designed platformer by any stretch of the imagination.

[i]Sonic 2[/i] is somehow worse. My first impression was actually somewhat positive, mostly because I started with the local co-op race mode which automatically makes it more fun that running headlong into pits alone, but upon further perusal I was met with even more offensive level design than the original. We’ve got the same “full-pelt sprint to precision platforming” transition taking place at a moment’s notice, we’ve got enemies that can only be killed from specific angles, we’ve got lengthy underwater segments where you often cannot physically move quickly enough to leave the water before the game kills you for being under too long. It’s another god-awful game whose graphics are no longer impressive or new enough to make up for the haphazard pacing and design of its demented platforming.

The halfpipe sections are cool, although the later ones are really punishing if you don't use save states, but the rest of the game isn't as good as the first.

50 rings gets you access to the halfpipe minigame at checkpoints, win or lose those rings are consumed after the minigame ends. If you succeed at every checkpoint you hit in the first two acts, you can have all the Chaos Emeralds by the end of the first zone, and gain access to Super Sonic mode from there on out. To activate Super Sonic mode, once you have all the Chaos Emeralds get 50 rings and then jump. One ring is consumed every second.

Has cooperative if you have Sonic & Tails play enabled (you can set it to one or the other only through the Options - on the game's screen, press down twice), there's also a competitive stage race mode.

There is currently a free official version of this game on Android/iOS. It has a crappy blur filter applied which the Steam paid versions let you remove, along with mod support and other things.

The Android/iOS versions of Sonic 1 and 2 have additional content, some of which was planned to be released in the originals but was cut due to whatever reasons. It also has a higher FoV for widescreen resolutions, which means you see more on the screen at once and it makes the game easier. The game also runs much smoother on the Android/iOS version than it ever has. However due to the forced blur filter I'd still think people would prefer the original Genesis or Steam emulated versions. It would be wonderful to have that version ported to PC with an option to disable the smear filter however.

Great game.
Gameplay it's expected from a classic Sonic game, fast speeds, great level design again. Way better than Sonic 1 and a bunch of steps back from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Sonic this time has the spindash, a pretty useful ability that can help you to get in higher grounds if used correctly. I love the difficulty of this game, starts easy, and gets more harder and difficult in terms of levels. Be careful, maybe you'll find a level that was made by Satan himself *cof* Metropolis *cof* and some really hard bosses if this is your first time *cof* Death Egg Robot *cof*.
The soundtrack is wonderful, the iconic song from Chemical Plant, the beautiful song from Hill Top, Wing Fortress majestry, the epicness of Death Egg Robot and the ending song.
A beutiful game, worth the price and the hours played. Again, such a shame that it's not the android version, Special stages will give you a really frustrating and hard time, and some colission boxes will be pissing you now and then. BUT it doesn't make this game worse, you can play without even bother about them.
Totally recomended! Almost a masterpiece!

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is a big sequel to Sonic game, being same old platformer, but fast and rolling. Now with inclusion of the second fluffy character! And bigger. It was developed by Sonic Team members that flew over to Sega of America in order to also share experience with STI team, that also helped to co-develop 16-bit Sonic 2 as well. It came out in 1992 almost simultaneously across all regions, all for “Sonic 2sday” event, at 24th November. It came on 8 Megabit ROM, quite standard by then. And then went to become a new pack-in title for console.
And yep, there are 8-bit version of Sonic 2, but it's not a port, just a different game. What you should be looking for are remasters of this game, preferably the one for smartphone. 3DS one isn't bad either.

The game that you have here is nothing more than emulation of Sega Genesis version. It's Revision 01, the most common one. That means glitches to avoid.

Now, technical part about Sega's emulation here:
The Sega Classic games that you purchase on Steam count as DLCs for "Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Classics" game that should appear in your library.
It has Bedroom HUB which is the one with many features yet lags for many and Simply Launcher which lacks Workshop and Online but at least it works just fine for everybody.
However, Simple Launcher has it's fair share of glitches as well. It can crash. And it does the second time you go to main menu, so always quit after saving there so it doesn't crash when you want to save next time!
Emulation itself, mostly sound, isn't that good but it does it's job. Also, yes, emulator supports quick saves.
As alternative, you can use external emulator to run games that you purchased. Sega kindly placed in all games that you purchased in "uncompressed ROMs" folder that program itself doesn't use, just change file extension to ".bin" or so. The file for this one being "SONIC2_W.68K".
I also demand you to read digital manual of this game first. You can find it here on store page or go to "manuals" folder of game root and open "13 STH2_PC_MG_EFIGS_US_v6.pdf".

Has online (in Bedroom HUB only) and local multiplayer.

Also, the developers used console feature for 2P VS vertical splitscreen that doubles resolution on those old TV standards. However it looks quite ugly on this emulator, as if the resolution didn't increase or something.

The game was quite rushed. For example, Wing Fortress laser boss has absolutely no sound, sound coding going dead on 14 Lives cheat code making Oil Ocean music play without end.
Here are two things you must avoid doing:
1) Don't jump after signpost once you collect 7 chaos emeralds and with 50 rings, it will softlock.
2) Avoid killing plesiousaur-like robot in Hill Top zone. There is a small chance to crash the game.

Robotnik has build the Death Egg in space and he is taking over West Side Island where Sonic was resting. And this time Sonic is being stalked by his fan number one, Miles “Tails” Prower the Fox, who can use his two tails like a number one fan and also had honor to star in Japanese Sega manuals as the tech loser. He is the cutest fluff ever and you should buy a plush of him to your girlfriend. But not doll, okay?

Once again you have to run through few stages, rolling down the slopes to gain even more speed, being able to attack enemies from any angle and using same ring health system that scatter around when you are hit. There is a new move: spin dash. Just keep down button and press jump as many times as you want. Release. Shwoom. You shoot yourself forward, rolling. I do feel that it's focused a bit less on gaining speed this way.

And they put more effort into level design. Now there is only two acts per zone, but there are more zones, more variety. They appear to be bigger and have more multiple paths. Strangely enough, the game somehow feels much more straightforward than before. Maybe it's a bit too easy, aside from cheap enemies on last zones. You can also get continues quite easily by bringing 100 rings to the end of a stage.

Oh, and let's not forget about Tails. In main mode, the Sonic is constantly followed by Tails. Sonic is the star of action. He is the one who can die and camera only cares about Sonic. Tails on another hand can't die by normal damage and if he falls into bottomless pit or gets crushed or simply gets too far from Sonic, he respawns, flying back to you. He is usually controlled by AI but you can always grab second controller for coop. It's not much but it's fun for kids. And Sonic was designed for kids, you know, you silly teenagers that complain about Sonic not being mature enough.

Tails, however, doesn't contribute much to the gameplay. He couldn't fly when controlled yet, so playing as Tails alone isn't much different from Sonic. Having him as buddy just lets you beat bosses cheaply. Then again, I enjoyed to have a foxy buddy nearby, I missed Tails slapstick humor so much. Nothing like hearing this clumpsy pixel-brain AI getting spiked when he is not seen on camera. That sure ain't same as in “taking care of kid sidekick” in modern games. Oh, and if you try to hit boss right after Tails hits it you will pass through it to your doom!

Oh, and there are special stages. You get to collect 7 chaos emeralds this time around and you access special stages by getting 50 rings and jumping at checkpoints. This game is the one that first introduces “running forward in a tube” type of special stages in Sonic games, where you grab needed amount of rings and avoid bombs. While looking impressing, the draw distance is low in this one. Game also does cheap shots, like when tunnel bends down and boom, bombs on the bottom!
And it's actually recommended to play special stages alone, not with Sonic & Tails in same time unless you have a friend. Tails AI keeps running into bombs. He doesn't lose your rings, as Sonic and Tails have separate ring counters. But here is another thing: when you are playing as S&T the special stages often require 10-20 more rings than usual, taking inclusion of Tails into account. And Tails is just way too unreliable. And if you get hit by a bomb and Tails doesn't, then he will stay in front of you, ruining the run.
Oh, and there is no reason to get 7 Chaos Emeralds as Tails, not even ending changes. While Sonic gets something wonderful, but no big changes in ending.

There is also VS mode for 2 players, where Sonic and Tails race with each other. You can play Special Stage there. Characters change their position to be in front or behind when they jump, so it gets hot. And then there are 3 normal zones taken from main mode where you get vertical split-screen. Everything looks squashed but you get used. Sonic and Tails can't interact with each other directly. But the item monitors now give you random items, which also includes self-damage or shuffling two players positions around. You may think that coming first is the only thing that matters. Nope, it looks at all 5 criteria, such as ring amount or score. So it's not so simple and dumb. Try it, it's a good fun with friend.

And yep, there is options menu. Just press down two times at main menu. Kinda hidden. There is usual sound test. Ability to select if you want to play as Sonic, Tails or Sonic & Tails in main mode. And you can set if you want monitors to be randomized in VS mode or if all of them are shuffle ones.
And yep. Graphics in this one are even better. Music is as awesome as ever.

Overall, it's a great sequel. Tho, personally, I think that it's the weakest in Genesis trilogy. A bit less focus on rolling platforming, more focus on fast. Still platforming though. But hey, Tails!

For those who are looking to buy some of the older Sonic games, i suggest checking Sonic 2 out, its rather a huge improvement than its predecessor "Sonic 1" for example you can play split screen co-op in Sonic 2 with your friend and also they have added spinball technique among cool 2.5D Stages

The Level design and soundtrack in general are very strong compared to sonic 1 and thats something i want to give kudos to sega for. While the game isn't super long (Probably 1.5 - 4.0h depending how good you are) it still offers replay ability via Co-op or just speed-running the stages or trying to get higher scores.

세가의 마스코트인 소닉 그 두 번째 이야기.
사실상 소닉 시리즈의 모든 것이 갖추게 된 작품이며, 1편에 이어서 많은 발전을 이루었다.
2인 대전도 있고, 카오스 에메랄드가 7개로 늘어나고 다 모으면 슈퍼 소닉으로 변신하고, 테일즈도 이 때부터 나온다.

재미는 있으나, 역시 스팀 버전은 에뮬레이터랑 별반 차이가 없으므로 구매는 컬랙터가 아니라면 잘 생각해보자.

played it through long ago and now again for about the 3rd time, and its as good as i remembered. the end levels are unforgiving though and most likely you wont have many lives left when you get there, so you'll spend time playing through the game many times over learning the mechanics for them (and especially last boss fights)

I loved playing this game again. It was like seeing a long lost friend. Once I started playing all the levels came flooding back to me. I feel this game is much better than Sonic 1 but this is probably coloured by nostalgia. The game is a lot more forgiving, where in Sonic 1 you always seemed to be falling to an instant death, here in Sonic 2 you fall to an alternative route. This, like Sonic 1, is a very good platformer but it is probably only of interest to those of you who played this as a child.

Будучи ещё в малом возрасте, моей первой игрой стала Sonic the Hedgehog 2 аж на Sega MegaDrive. До сих пор остались картриджи и коробка от самой консоли.
Что вызывает у меня эта игра? Только тёплые ностальгические чувства, вспоминая ту атмосферу уровней - Emerald Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Hill Top Zone и других, а также накручивая у себя в голове их мелодию.

Что можно сказать об этой игре? Да много чего, это и превосходная атмосфера уровней (большинство играм этого даже и не снилось), это и сложность игры, вспоминая такие моменты, как со слезами на глазах в необъятной печали ты проигрывал предпоследний уровень, а тогда сохраняться то нельзя было, или можно, но моя консоль такой функцией, увы но не обладала. А также хоть и обыкновенный midi-саундтрек, но он настолько врезался в память, что без ностальгической слезы и не вспомнишь.

Помимо основных уровней, в игре есть специальные "Special Stage" за завершения которых дают изумруды хаоса, собрав все семь штук - наш ёж Соник обретал золотую форму, в последствии которой открывалось бессмертие (шипы разумеется - убивали), но и не всё так просто - плата за это, одно золотое кольцо в секунду. В последствии чего, казалось бы и 50 колец - много, но для такого состояния это чертовски мало.
В сравнении с первой частью, различия практически минимальные. Уровни состоящие из двух актов (вместо трех), 11 отдельных уровней (вместо семи), новые Special Stage в которых три этапа (вместо того чтобы разбивать разноцветные кристаллы), более быстрая скорость в отличии от своего предшественника, улучшения в графике и более отзывчивом управлении.

Спустя некоторое время, SEGA выпускает старую коллекцию ежа, практически на каждую консоль. Это и Xbox 360, и PlayStation 3, и PC.., даже докатились до iOS с Android. Но, это игре не вредит и позволяет познакомится с истоками серии более младшему поколению, которые не застали игру в свое время, в силу своего возраста. В общем, игру рекомендую, тем более благодаря встроенному эмулятору, разработчики подарили возможность сохранения на любом участке игры, будь это начало, середина или даже конец уровня.

I'm going to go ahead and say this was one of the more fun old-school sonic games, but it is also, out of the main series (so no spin-offs like spinball or 3d blast) the HARDEST of the old-school games to beat. The game is super fun, but make sure you have a ton of lives by time you get to the final stage. There is a mini-boss AND the final boss you have to beat, WITHOUT TAKING DAMAGE. It is insanely difficult but lots of fun, this was my first video game and I will love it forever.
