The Bads:
- Story is short and linear (4-5 hours of gameplay).
- Gameplay is buggy (my game crashed a lot in the first few chapters).
- Stealth mechanics is frustrating at times. Sometimes enemies can spot you even if you are hidden perfectly.
- No quick save or save option at all. Game does some checkpoint saves and if you happen to die you need to start from the last checkpoint which often takes you way back in the mission.
- Can't pick up enemy weapons.
- Had some issues with the shooting mechanics. I perfectly aligned my shot in easy mode using the red dot marker, the enemies were standing still and my shot still did not hit the target. I could not find any explanation why this happened. Throughout the campaign, this happened several times which was annoying.

The Goods:
- Sniping mechanics overall is good.
- Long shots feel very satisfactory.
- Patience and planning is required to achieve maximum stealth which poses some challenge and quite rewarding when you pull it off.
- Achievements are fun to complete (though online achievements is practically impossible to achieve now as multiplayer is as good as dead).

Verdict:
Only buy this if it's on deep sale. It's a decent game to kill off some time but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Liniowy świat i jako taka fabuła nie stanowią przeszkody aby się dobrze bawić. Choć gra nie jest najwyższych lotów to i tak dobrze pokazuje uroki bycia snajperem. Graficznie dużo lepiej niż pierwsza część i sam gameplay kładzie większy nacisk na wykonywaną przez nas profesję.

I picked this up during a sale for basically nothing, knowing it had a mixed reputation. After playing through the campaign, I can see exactly why opinions are all over the place. This is a game that does some things genuinely well, but the flaws are impossible to ignore.

Let me start with what surprised me: the sniping mechanics are actually solid. You have to account for wind, distance, and bullet drop, which adds a layer of realism that makes landing a long shot genuinely satisfying. When you nail a perfect kill, the bullet-cam follows the shot in slow motion—it never gets old . The game runs on CryEngine 3, and when it looks good, it really looks good. The jungle environments, the snowy Tibetan mountains, the war-torn streets of Sarajevo—these settings have real atmosphere .

But then the problems start piling up.

**The Good:**
- **The core sniping feels right.** The bullet physics are well-implemented. On higher difficulties, you lose the helper markers and actually have to judge wind and drop yourself, which turns each shot into a real calculation. That's when the game shines .
- **The atmosphere hits.** The Sarajevo mission in particular does a decent job showing the horrors of war. It's not subtle, but it's effective .
- **The Siberian Strike DLC.** I grabbed this separately, and honestly, it's a prequel mission that's arguably better than parts of the main campaign. If you end up getting the game, make sure to get the complete edition .
- **Shooting works on both keyboard/mouse and controller.** Controls are responsive and you can play whichever way you prefer .

**The Bad:**
- **It's incredibly linear.** This is the biggest issue. You're essentially playing on rails. Walk here. Shoot this man. Set up your rifle here. Sneak past these guards. The game rarely lets you make your own decisions . At one point you lose your rifle and have to retrieve it—but you can't pick up enemy weapons. You have to do exactly what the designers wanted, common sense be damned .
- **The campaign is short.** Around 4-5 hours for the main story. That's it .
- **The stealth is frustrating.** The AI is either blind or psychic. You can be perfectly hidden and suddenly everyone knows exactly where you are. When you get spotted, enemies rush you with reckless abandon and you'll probably die . Then you get sent back to a checkpoint that was 10 minutes ago. No quicksave option makes this painful .
- **The AI is also dumb.** If you miss a shot on easier difficulties, enemies react so slowly you have time to just shoot again. And somehow, no one hears the massive unsilenced rifle crack coming from 200 meters away .
- **Cutscenes look awful.** They're pre-rendered at low resolution with terrible compression, so you get visible pixelation that completely pulls you out of the experience . This is especially jarring because the actual gameplay visuals can be quite nice.
- **CryEngine 3 has technical issues.** The game can lock your framerate to your monitor's lowest refresh rate—some players got locked at 24fps. I ran into some stuttering and one or two crashes during my playthrough .
- **No weapon variety.** You can't pick up enemy weapons after they die. You're stuck with what you're given .
- **Multiplayer is dead.** Don't buy this expecting to play online. It's a ghost town .

**Quick Tips:**
- **Play on the hardest difficulty.** This is non-negotiable. On lower difficulties, the game holds your hand with red dot markers and giant icons over every enemy's head. It becomes a boring shooting gallery. On hard, those helpers disappear and you actually have to calculate your shots .
- **Grab the Siberian Strike DLC.** It's a full extra mission that adds some value. If you're buying the game, get the complete edition .
- **Manual save is not an option.** The game uses checkpoints only. They can be spaced poorly. Be prepared to replay sections .
- **Patience is required.** This is not a run-and-gun game. If you treat it like Call of Duty, you'll die constantly. Move slowly, scout before you shoot, and think about the order you take out enemies .
- **Buy it on deep sale only.** At full price, this is hard to recommend. For $5 or less? It's a weekend distraction if you're a sniper game enthusiast .
- **The original Sniper: Ghost Warrior had some freedom in its levels. This one is more restrictive—go in knowing that .

**Verdict:**

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a game caught between ambitions. It wants to be a realistic sniper simulation, but it also wants to be a cinematic Call of Duty-style shooter. The result is something that does neither perfectly.

If you're a sniper game fanatic who loves bullet physics and lining up long shots, there's fun to be had here, especially if you stick to the hardest difficulty. The core shooting mechanics are genuinely satisfying when they work.

But the restrictive level design, frustrating stealth AI, short campaign, and technical issues hold it back from being anything more than mediocre. The game actively fights your attempts to play creatively. Want to pick up an enemy's weapon when you're unarmed? Sorry. Want to sneak past enemies without killing them? The script won't allow it . Want to explore that jungle over there? "LEAVING MISSION AREA" .

Compared to Sniper Elite, which came out around the same time, Ghost Warrior 2 feels shallow. Sniper Elite has more freedom, better stealth mechanics, and those glorious X-ray kill cams. This game's bullet-cam is tame by comparison .

If you can find this for a few dollars and you're a fan of sniper games who doesn't mind a linear experience, you might enjoy it. Everyone else should look elsewhere.

Стандартний коридорний стелс-шутер на вечір з непоганою графікою і сюжетом.
З мінусів – тепловізор, який окрім першої місії не показує теплові сигнатури та баг зі звуком, який раптово зник у другій главі другого акту і з’явився тільки після його повного перезапуску. А ще, якщо грати на експерті, то інколи дивуєшся поясненням на кшталт «цей твій», ніби я екстрасенс і маю здогадатись хто саме.

game runs great runs on my machine fine at almost max settings 1080p in dx11 i can max out on dx9 no visual glitches so far pretty fun but recomend using a controller because theirs no option for hold aim on mouse and keyboard witch i found frustrating but controller is hold aim so i dunno why they did that for controler only but other then that seems better then the first game

Title: Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2

Summary: Sniper stealth game

Personal notes: Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a FPS game with a heavy emphasis on sniping. You are called a ghost warrior, and within a special ops unit, you use your skills to sneak, stalk, survey & snipe. This second entry builds directly off the foundation of first one quite well! You take on similar missions but this time with a stronger emphasis on presentation and a more focused experience, with sniping mechanics feeling more refined and cinematic overall making those long distance shots feel all the more rewarding. Visually, this game also is a clear improvement over the last entry. The environments are much more varied and detailed in contrast to the many similiar levels in the first. In addition to this, CryEngine was used instead of Chrome engine which made the game look much more modern. I will say these graphic improvements came at a slight cost of the environments feeling slightly less vast, because of this it can feel more linear with less paths. The AI is also improved upon but still isn't amazing and sometimes inconsistent. It felt better but was still frustrating at points due to unpredicatable enemy behaviours. This also made stealth more of a viable option but still isn't super consistent. Some encounters felt tense and rewarding while others felt like trial and error. Achievement wise, it's pretty straight forward with most being related to missions, difficulty or hitting a certain amount of kills. There is online achievements that are still atainable but the population is very low so I would recommend finding a friend/check the community to help you out with them. Overall, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 delivers some solid sniping and improves upon the first entry but is still slightly held back by it's inconsistency and limited player freedom. I would recommend this to most FPS fans, especially if you enjoy slower, more tactical experiences. I would also recommend that you start on this game instead of the first entry as this is where the series really starts to build it's own identity.

Yo bruh my rig is straight bussin capable of running Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 no cap, but deadass for some reason my character is straight up invisible and the NPC enemies too — only the rifle is visible fr . Знаете, есть такой термин "фильм категории В". Сейчас им разбрасываются на 360°, в частности в применении к боевикам про спецагентов, наемников и тп. Так вот, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 в точности олицетворяет игровую версию этого термина. Вторая игра серии хотя бы в меру развлекает, притворяясь дешевым подобием голливудского боевика. Признаюсь, я даже улыбнулся от здешнего юмора. Игра стопудово не понравится тем, кому больше интересна механическая часть, потому как геймплей заскриптован на уровне интерактивного кино.

Лично для меня эта игра значит многое - это мой первый шутер в жизни. Как сейчас я помню как перепроходил первую миссию на пс3 в 2013 году, так как была только демо версия. Пройдя всю игру я просто закрыл детский гештальт. А так у игры очень однообразный геймплей
1) Иди туда 2) Убей всех врагов, при этом не попавшись 3) Повтори
Или иногда просто не спалившись пройди через базу врагов

На сегодня есть шутеры намного лучше

Думал что поставить этой игре, но думаю, что диз. Сразу после первой части решил пройти и если там я удивился графическими и техническими решениями и то, что разрабы с низким бюджетом вытянули движок полностью, то тут как раз наоборот всё. И с бюджетом и с новым технологическим на то время движком разрабы максимально занизили его возможности ради консолей. Много где не хватает теней и затенения (особенно на уровне с отелем в первом акте основной компании), во многом физика подкачала - трупы застывают в крайне неестественных позах, хоть и стали реагировать на вмешательства выстрелами и порезами. Да что уж говорить, нам в сравнении с первой частью убрали ноги и тень от гг полностью, оружие не реагирует ни на какое освещение , кроме солнца и луны (даже на яркие лампы фонарей), кстати про фонари, на уровне того же отеля отражения в бассейне отражают свет фонарей, но если фонари разбить - свет в отражении так и будет гореть, а это значит что, правильно, глупая непродуманная запечёнка. Освещение в общем может и стало лучше чуть, но этому не веришь, поскольку даже игрок призрачен для этого мира.
Дальше по геймплею. Это полностью коридорный снайпинг, даже более короткий, чем первая часть (часов у меня вышло больше, так как я каждые 5 минут задерживался рассматривая недочёты и в первой части недопрошёл длс). Пистолет занимает слишком много места на экране, намного тише звуки выстрелов и убивает практически всегда с одного выстрела. В целом анимации у оружия стали слишком быстрыми, не чувствуется их вес. Да и теперь мы не можем брать автоматы, гранаты и даже метательных ножей у нас нет, глупее всего это смотрится в моментах, когда у нас отбирают снайперскую винтовку - видишь свободно лежащий автомат противника? Не-не-не, всё равно проходи фрагмент с пистолетом. Пистолет у нас в принципе один и тот же всегда, без изменений. А в "Сибирский удар" мы даже подобрать снайперскую винтовку врага взамен своей не можем. Враги стали тупее в разы, звуки у оружия менее насыщены. Что в первой части рёв, то здесь циркулярный хлопок.
Единственное, что спасает игру от полного провала, это постановка, локации, диалоги и саунд, в остальном, увы.
В остальном, спасибо критикам, которые занизили эту часть ещё сильнее и дали понять разработчикам, куда дальше двигаться, а массовый игрок увы, но пожрал говна.
(Сразу говорю, я не ньюген и эту часть прошёл раза 3 в детстве и пару раз в осознанном возрасте, ну и сейчас после покупки)
А, ну и в дополнение про стабильность. Обе части у меня летают стабильно, но именно вторая в одном моменте вылетала стабильно в основной кампании из-за камеры пули, и раза 2 в "Сибирский удар". Ну и ещё лицензионное соглашение в меню никак не пропало, сквозь него в игру заходил постоянно. С первой частью у меня вообще проблем не было.

Right off the bat, and tldr, the head bobbing and weapon sway animation when sprinting is nauseating, and makes the game actually miserable to play. Don't buy this game it's super buggy and if you do, it's only like kinda better than the first game.

Just like the first game, dead MP so just a single player game. And even though it's a step up from the first, it's like one singular step up from the first title.

Changed some settings after launching as one does, and when I launched again on the second day the game would immediately crash, no report, no window to tab into. Just a 3-5 second attempt at launching then nothing. Thankfully I came across a post from like 2013 of people having the same issue. The issue? DX11. The game has an option for DX11 and the devs knew about this, told people how to fix it, and never fixed it themselves.

The second bug was about 50% of the way through the game where your character is scripted to pan over to a big building and zoom in for dramatic effect (affect? i dont know) and I got stuck there for 10 minutes relaunching and verifying files to try to fix it. I don't know what I did but it was super frustrating.

Last thing so this review doesn't get to be a thesis statement, the audio is awful. Stuttering all of the time, not synching to things happening in game, you're sitting in a bush being stealthy with your spotter and they literally scream at the top of their lungs "WE GOTTA MOVE!" Like bro cmon I know it's a video game but it kinda breaks the immersion that these games are supposed to have.

So yeah. Don't buy this game, especially the DLC's holy moly don't buy those. Hopefully the next games are better.

Per quello che l'ho pagato, SGW2 si è rivelato un'esperienza simpatica. Trama da b movie con un cattivo sopra le righe e diversi, DIVERSI riferimenti ai modern warfare, in particolare il secondo atto.
Il gioco alterna momenti di calma con sezioni davvero adrenaliniche, dove per ottenere i risultati più soddisfacenti bisogna avere dei buoni riflessi. A difficoltà intermedia SGW2 perdona parecchi errori.
Il principale difetto è che in gran parte del gioco il giocatore è tenuto troppo per la mano per paura che possa compiere errori, rendendo più piacevoli le sezioni dove si è senza uno spotter, ma parliamo più sempre di un gioco del 2013.

Depois de terminar o primeiro jogo, fiquei curioso para saber como seria a continuação. A primeira coisa que posso dizer é que melhoraram absurdamente a jogabilidade, ainda que a tenham limitada: no primeiro jogo, podíamos usar várias armas, no segundo, apenas o fuzil de precisão; contudo, a jogabilidade é muito mais satisfatória.

Outra coisa que merece atenção é como os gráficos em games feitos na Cry Engine envelhecem bem: o jogo é lindo, apesar de alguns bugs gráficos e travamentos que podem ser facilmente resolvidos ao reiniciar o jogo. Além disso, a narrativa ficou bem mais interessante que o primeiro, ainda que tenha aquele tipo de história clichê de filme de sessão da tarde, mas, como é divertido, eu não me senti incomodado.

Recomendo a experiência para quem gosta de imersão e do estilo mais cadenciado de jogos de tiro!

休闲模式下的，瞄准镜晃动（写实）。
瞄准镜子弹真实落点有红圈（辅助）。
甚至还有热成像，而且雷达能显示敌人位置。
瞄准镜稳定呼吸法！！
（类似稳定瞄具+一点点子弹时间，仅限狙击枪）
还有团队合作进行任务。
手柄扣动扳机的力度能决定镜头的后座力有多大。
每个任务点都有标记，跟着任务点无脑走就好了。
关键敌人也有目标指示和狙击图标。
而且狙击枪是消音的！！

补给都是补给箱里获取弹药，看着好像不会捡敌人落在地上的武器，毕竟主角的枪是最棒的。

休闲模式玩着还是挺轻松的。
至少比起以前那些狙击游戏满脸懵圈不知道敌人在哪的强。

玩法丰富，配合NPC消灭敌人，跟着NPC潜行，攻击特定目标吸引敌人注意力，各种远距离狙击，各种远距离清空区域。

要是你在某些狭窄空间使用暗杀，敌人的活动稍微转个方向甚至能让玩家直接穿墙！

本体一共3章，每个章节3-4个任务，一共10个任务。
每个任务大概半小时，本体总流程大概5-6小时。

剧情流水账：
主角叫安德森系一名狙击手。
他从来不捡敌人的武器，只用自己的狙！

第一章：四分卫行动
主角叫安德森；队友迪亚兹；远程指挥官惠勒；
估计是高空无人机远程命令吧。

1、通信中断
1周前在L国沿海地区。
3个月前R国雇佣兵袭击C地区生物实验室偷走生化武器，他们在L国找到了买家卡拉罗，目标消灭卡拉罗取回生化药剂。

迪亚兹和主角安德森一组切断敌人支援，并和凯勒组汇合。
耕者迪亚兹悄悄穿过村子消灭沿途的关键敌人，在废弃的即将坍塌的民用飞机上作为狙击点消灭远处敌人后飞机坍塌落水，避开敌人过来查看的船只清空区域和迪亚兹分开并爬上教堂钟塔作为狙击点掩护队友行动。
迪亚兹和凯勒组汇合后按指示远距离狙击。过程中还有直升机来回飞，那时候感觉整座钟楼都在震动···
远程协助敌人拿下雷达设施，此时从雷达那接收到敌人的无线电在说他们抓到间谍准备带到机场附近的老板那。

2、莫名出现
6天前L国，虽然迪亚兹他们从雷达那拿到的录音显示之前的潜伏的间谍的讯息，当时推断他可能已经狗带。任务不变依旧是对酒店进行突击，次要目标是到达基地救下被俘间谍。

主角穿过洞穴前往看守地的高处建立狙击点，侦查发现俘虏和敌人，掩护突击队队友营救俘虏，消灭挟持人质的敌人。

救下人质后穿过洞穴到达另外一个狙击点，消灭沿途敌人清空目标区域敌人。

主要目标卡拉罗坐车出现，主角们发现中央情报局的梅瑞诺吾莫名出现在此。而且敌人知晓主角们正在行动并立刻反击，最后迪亚兹、尼克尔斯撤离时被俘，安德森撤离。

3、一个不留
6天前L国，主角继续追踪梅瑞诺吾和卡拉罗，他们正在前往机场，主角在后面跟着，其实主角跟的是生化剂。
一路弯弯绕绕消灭区域的敌人甚至还乘坐缆车后到达机场，惠勒要主角解决生化武器优先，但主角想要救下迪亚兹优先。
主角同时能观测到武器和队友，但发现队友尼克尔斯被击毙后立马掩护迪亚兹逃离。迪亚兹在明，主角在暗就这么掩护逃离。
最终生化武器上飞机离开了，主角和迪亚兹则在枪林弹雨中逃了···
结局很不好，就像萨城一样···（不清楚游戏的架空历史）

第二章：大天使行动
1、
19930414，B国萨城，大天使行动。
惠勒让安德森、马多克斯中士打头阵，目标是塞比亚武装的头领马克·维拉迪克少校的罪行录像而不是消灭对方！
主角们和中央情报局的梅瑞诺吾的皮条客会面并录像后撤离。

通过铁路线潜伏在列车底部潜入萨城，使用炸弹炸毁广场上的高射炮（其中一台是A10灰机炸毁的）潜行到地铁通道被敌人发现后掩护马多克斯安装炸弹后离开。

最后和梅瑞诺吾会面。

2、伸张正义
19930414，B国萨城，安德森、马多克斯中士跟着梅瑞诺吾准备去偷拍，这里到处是敌国士兵，到达建筑3层获得视野拍照，但这里没看到目标马克·维拉迪克，但拍到了敌人的种族灭绝行为。
马多克斯此时开始正义感暴崩准备把敌人都干掉伸张正义，主角劝不动而且维拉迪克也不在这里，于是梅瑞诺吾带着他们去找维拉迪克。

穿过黑暗的地下车库，中途还会遇上梅瑞诺吾出去和敌人套交情结果被发现这人卖假货被发现要求还钱！穿过到处是狙击手的敌对区域，最后狙击维拉迪克后逃离。

但最后主角们被梅瑞诺吾出卖了。

3、萨城鬼魂
19930414，B国萨城，惠勒联系主角却只有塞比亚士兵的回复。
主角被俘，醒来后敌人正拷打主角但被主角反击成功，并询问出队友马多克斯中士的位置在国会大厦。
潜行取回装备，和惠勒联系一路潜行，通过图书馆、公寓、下水道、公园到达国会大楼。
在国会大楼上设立狙击点观察到马多克斯中士和梅瑞诺吾正在乘车离开，此时的马多克斯一点都不像俘虏，此时迪亚兹插话得知原来马多克斯就是内鬼，之前是和梅瑞诺吾配合着演戏，他们一直将赛比亚军的武器卖到黑市，并配合主角干掉维拉迪克后现在所有的武器都是他们的了。
此时他们两的车即将开离狙击点，于是主角狙了马多克斯。

第三章：雷云行动
1、黑暗中的刀锋
Z地区边境，梅瑞诺吾又回来了，他正在将武器卖给哈山，交易地点在边境地区。迪亚兹找到了主角打算一块狙击梅瑞诺吾。

一路消灭雇佣兵，清理村子，从敌人对话中得知这附近有个无线电台，拷问电台的通讯人员，对方也了解的不多，只知道梅瑞诺吾那需要坐船穿过废弃寺院。

2、燃烧的桥
T地区，穿过洞穴的旅途，结果迪亚兹不小心踩空了主角为了拉住迪亚兹枪掉了！于是开始潜行取狙击枪，然后狙击探照灯敌人。
主角们发现这里的洞穴就是个武器库，于是现拿C4炸毁武器库后逃离，不过主角们高估了山洞的稳定性，山洞开始坍塌，一路跑酷跑出山洞。

3、因果报应
T地区，主角穿过废弃的高山寺庙和桑德斯的队伍汇合，并在敌人直升机降落的时候准备狙击！
但这时候主角发现直升机上下来的是马多克斯，他居然没狗带！此时马多克斯透过阳光反射也看到了主角的狙击点，主角们暴漏了，马多克斯也上了直升机利用导弹攻击主角！
千钧一发时主角的狙击枪狙了直升机驾驶员梅瑞诺吾（应该是他吧，白色西装）直升机失控后马多克斯努力控制直升机稳定。

4、完美收官
T地区，迪亚兹和主角继续追踪马多克斯，依旧是废弃的寺庙这里，马多克斯甚至直接入侵主角们的通讯一顿嘲讽，主角还需要干掉迫击炮点，对付训练马多克斯一样的方法训练出来的狙击手。
最终和主角对狙的时候被主角的子弹从狙击枪镜头穿过凉了···

最后主角们回收了武器乘坐直升机离开

Linear to a fault.

Every encounter marks every target for you, so you *always* know where the enemies are. Worst yet, the overwatch sniping sections make you take out targets in order, essentially turning it into a point-and-click game.

For example, in Act 1 you take position over a villa with a dock and helicopter pad. The game has you take out your binoculars, and you scan the area for both enemies and a hostage. You of course spot a dozen or so enemies, and the game then transitions to you having to protect a team moving in to rescue said hostage. However, once transitioning to sniping, all the enemies milling around the area have seemingly dissapeared.

All those enemies at the helipad? Well, they're gone now and won't reappear until the hostage rescue team is near that helipad. So what could be a fun section where you're trying to determine when best to take out multiple enemies at several locations turns into a "this enemey has appeared now, please click on them to continue" game.

its a game that wants to have great graphics and look nice but has sloppy animations and models for its time, core gameplay itself is neat and enjoyable, personally i would rather have a suppressed smg then the sidearm but thats not how the game was supposed to be played lol. some scenes seem very empty, or straight up random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go just to continue the plot, also some short cinematic moments are completely unnecessary, and to quote one of my previous statements: "oh the bolt doesnt even move?!" (the cinematic where the main character dramatically pull the bolt on his sniper to collect a cassing after having to give his friend a new hole) so yeah with my limited playtime i dont have anything else to complain (also pissed me off that the laying pistol model is clipping into the crate when you get captured. like comeon. even i could do better in blender with that placement) its an ok game but not worth buying at full price, not in this day and age.

Long story short, I replayed the game after years and I have to say that the game has disappointed me a bit.
It's painfully linear, to the point that sometimes I felt like I was playing a rail shooter. The enemies are banal, the story is weak, the shooting, which should be the strong point of such games, isn't outstanding either. You don't feel the power of the weapons at all, the selection is practically non-existent. Sometimes I found an SVD from an enemy and that's it.
Generaly i dont recommenden.
