Este juego es simplemente maravilloso...

Destaco sobretodo la estética surrealista del mundo combinado con elementos del vaporwave, los cuales van muy bien acompañados con bellas piezas musicales por parte de Blood Cultures y John Fio que hacen de la experiencia del juego mucho más amena, sintiendose como un video musical interactivo.

Las batallas son entretenidas, además de satisfactorias cuando tratas de encadenar combos longevos con puntajes altos...

Sus personajes son de lo mejor que hay, me han encantado más que todo Rabbie, la palome y Frotue
Su historia es cuanto menos magnífica, aunque algo volada, bizarra y sin sentido para algunos (Pero esto último a mí me encanta), pero en sí hace sentir múltiples emociones acompañadas con las piezas musicales, donde igual tiene algunos toques cómicos en los momentos menos frenéticos.

Lo he rejugado 1 vez y me ha encantado.

Lo único mejorable es que hay ocasiones donde las colisiones con los muros a veces suelen tener fallas, al final me quedé atascado bajo el suelo y tuve que reiniciar el nivel, y por último hubiera sido mejor haber añadido algunos grabs para ampliar el abanico de trucos disponibles (Especialmente algunos Christ Airs que hubieran sido fantásticos).

Además de que hay partes donde no se traduce al español y se puede perder parte del contenido (Casi siempre lo he jugado en inglés pero lo poco que jugué en español, vi esa ausencia de traducción)

Very original concept and, generally, a great game. I had fun for the entire time: the gameplay is awesome, the characters are fun, the story is interesting and the soundtrack is fitting and beautiful. I would 100% recommend this to everyone, but especially to fans of the Skate series, of course. One of the best games I have played from the beginning of 2026

Although the game is called "Skate Story" it's one of those games where the story is secondary (however still good) and this is actually for a good reason. Everything is good in this game: music, gameplay, atmosphere. It's just super fun to play. And second day after beating it I am already missing it.

Little things can be improved, I really think that grinds should be done simpler to hop on. But maybe it's because of muscle memory of THPS.

ナンセンスな世界と物語を、爽快でトリッキーなスケートで駆け抜ける。
このゲームでしか得られない体験があるという点で間違いなくおすすめです。
一方、終盤が少し尻すぼみというか…[spoiler] ただ面倒なだけのミニゲームやら、メタ表現やら、無駄に長いムービーやら… [/spoiler]
最初の勢いのまま最後まで走らせてくれなかった点は残念です。
あと日本語設定なのに７章以降たまに英文が表示されたことと、７～９章の最後のポエムが全部同じなのはバグですかね？

Amazing game full of character and great skating mechanics. Plus the soundtrack goes so well with the set pieces that match the flow perfectly. Honestly one of the best indie games I've played ever. Если вы ощущаете апатию, то здесь вы найдёте успокоение, ведь эту игру явно делал такой же апатичный "гений". Может быть визуально и музыкально в этой игре есть что-то привлекательное, но этот продукт явно пытается больше быть "произведением искусства постмодерна", нежели игрой, где можно хорошо провести время. Причём даже эта вычурная попытка сделать что-то убогое настолько неоригинальна и примитивна в различных решениях, что лучше отстраниться от этой игры подальше, либо попробовать поаутировать в ней часик и уже тогда точно забить.

游戏一开始就是因为月亮散发的白光感到恼怒，想要灭掉这月亮，于是开始朝着月亮奔跑，但靠自身跑步还是太慢了，于是签下4个契约，获得了一个滑板，有了滑板后速度快多了，但危险也接踵而来。首先就是滑动时会遇到的红色尖刺，被刮到后受伤。只能通过减速的时候大幅度压低身形和中心过弯躲过这些尖刺，还有地上的火焰，对恶魔来说是致命的，在滑板可以通过蓄力施展豚跳，蓄力的多少对应着跳跃的高度和距离。在面对月亮的时候，恶魔使用滑板的各种动作，将月亮劈成了两瓣，但也因此把其他神明触怒，被关进了学院，准备以无聊的方式困死主角。

有些鸟儿注定是关不住的，它身上的每一根羽毛都散发着自由的气息。游戏的男主也同样如此，在学院内必须完成任务，才能离开这里，此时就能用到之前学到的滑板动作和技巧。游戏的主要玩法是模拟滑板，但和同类型的托尼·霍克滑板游戏不一样的是，本作的主角在游戏设定中是一个“恶魔”，外形和死亡时的效果都类似玻璃，但制作组还是在主角的脖子上绑了一条长围巾。

滑板的手感极好，除了常规的滑板动作呢，常用的豚跳可以蓄力，蓄满后角儿是在滑板完全一个低身为，其他的动作就是肩键+B键的组合，Y是切换走路/滑板。在细节和制作比较用心的地方，就是使用滑板在台阶，或者道路边缘，会有滑板的特殊动作滑行，以及在使用遥感的时候，也会有对应的急停、刹停的动作。可以说在滑板动作方面上，本作是非常的标准和完全的，对这些有要求的玩家可以放心了。音画表现上则是与托尼·霍克的摇滚乐完全相反，而且还有各种旁白乱入。画面的话与也不是托尼·霍克的写实风格，因为有恶魔元素，所以画面里有不少超自然的东西。

总的来说，《Skate Story》可以说是一款“恶魔滑板”的游戏，本身素质不错，而且半开放+各种任务的rpg要素，就比较考验对这两种类型的受众了，滑板本身的玩法还算是比较小众，但因此错失了一个好游戏，那才是真的损失。

知道买音乐送游戏的含金量吗？
滑板故事从23年开始就使用了Blood Culture的迷幻风电子乐，25年也新加入了《WHERE THE CITY CAN'T SEE》的主题曲。整体OST的质量出奇的高，可以说买个OST听听其实也不错，其中《Set on Fire》和《Scenes from a Midnight Movie》也是完成度和曲风相当戳我的音乐。
滑板故事本身的故事，其实不重要，甚至说你通关了也不懂为什么——他不是那种具体的，更不是隐喻性的叙事方式，它本身叙事手法上可以营造一种让你能懂，但细想又不懂这种动机和故事的人物关系的感觉。有一种迷幻风的叙事走向和角色——比如会走路和飞行的衣服裤子，长腿会跑的地铁，写作的鸽子。他们跳脱了隐喻的作用，本身带有作者强烈的臆想属性，就看你吃不吃这种精神病风格了。
游戏关卡设计分三部分，游戏前期多是教程一本道，而中期则是开放箱庭带有及其少量解密，后期则是长段限时冲刺。主要的体验低谷还是中期箱庭，箱庭不大，但是解密的质量都比较差，而且由于箱庭内可游玩要素少，所以前期一本道滑爽了，后期限时特技竞速也很爽，但中期的箱庭探索真的很掉节奏，甚至有时候你和作者电波对不上还会卡关。中期主打一个“我去，怎么又一个自由探索？”真的打断游戏体验。好在游戏后期关卡音乐和场景都很对得起最终战的含金量。
价格很对得起这5小时的极致音视体验了。

Fantastic game! The music and visuals are 10/10 but it has a couple minor issues.

1. It forces goofy stance unless you revert.
2. If you switch to regular then get off your board, the camera is still awkwardly to the left and often times, the camera is too low so you can't see sh*t in front of you.

Skate Story is just... wow. I wish I could delete this game from my brain and immediately play it again. It's a longer game so I usually put it down after a chapter, but then got so curious about the new chapter that I started the game back up 30 mins later. Even when I first saw a trailer for this, I knew it would be good. But it still surpassed my expectations of what it would be in every single way.

First of all, it's absolutely terrifying to me that this whole game was (mostly) made by one person. It's clear that Sam Eng is a massive all-rounder who had a really clear vision for this project.

Skate Story is a surreal journey through a sort of demonic-vaporwave hell on skateboard, wherein you, a demon trying to escape hell, is making a pact with the devil: you have to skate through all layers off hell, and eat all of hell's moons to be freed. But it seems like the devil isn't playing fair, and no one else in hell is a fan of you eating all the moons.

Now at first I thought this would be a straightforward level-based runner where you perform different actions and beat some bosses with tricks. And that element is certainly in there, but this is called Skate *Story* for a reason. Every layer has its own overworld, in which you can buy upgrades, and have to solve a central problem - usually with the help of your skateboard - but I don't even want to spoil how interesting the spin the game has on this is. Maybe the bizarre kind of storytelling of this game isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly was mine.

And I haven't even said anything about the music yet! The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal and so perfect for the world, it's on the edge of dreamy and kind of threatening, and skating to these tracks is just so much fun! I LOVE when developers hire a real band to do the music for their games.

If you thought about buying this - absolutely do! This is such a unique game!

Short game with some shortcomings, but I really love this game. I will say in it's current state I can't really recommend it as a skating game, yet. That's because while playing the game is oh so satisfying, [strike]other than new game plus, there's no arcade mode or option to replay some of the amazing sequences on demand (you can technically revisit the 'hub' levels but I that's not what I'm looking for I guess). I hope Mr. Sam Eng gets on that, as I'm sure there's an audience hungry to just vibe and skate in the surreal dreamscapes he's created.[/strike] (okay my bad i just stumbled upon the level replayer, but it so hidden and barebones-ish I'm unsure if it's an intended feature, but it works!) Regardless, I would say the main hook of this product is that it's a short, funny, dark, and absurdist story game where you complete objectives by skating with killer art, visuals, and soundtrack, and an added bonus of getting the feeling you're peeking into somebody else's mind. Genuinely and unironically one of the best games I've played through in a long time. Its the type of game that you can tell the developer made out of love and not obligation. Nearly every aspect of it bleeds into the next with the music, level design, gameplay, and environments all synergizing and resulting in a masterpiece that's more aptly called art than a game.

If you're as tired of modern soulless slop as I am, this game is a great reminder that video games weren't always uninspired micro-transaction simulators. There are still incredibly creative people that want to show off their stories and ideas in their preferred mediums and this game is proof.

This game was a true joy to play, and if you are just looking to complete the story on offer here; I highly recommend it.
The art direction and style is stunning. The soundtrack is perfect. It's sedate and subtle at times but kicks in during skate sequences and elevates the gameplay to another level.
The skateboarding gameplay itself is smooth and easy to play. With fantastically accurate leg animations for each trick.
The story is a real trip and it may or may not appeal to you. Only way to find out is to play, but everything makes up for it if it doesn't end up being the reason you keep playing.

Only negative applies if you're going for 100%. The Do 10000 tricks achievement lives up to its name of 'Over Several Eternities' as it's one hell of a grind. I finished most of the story slowly while spending a lot of extra time in levels to only have 3500 tricks done by the end. So be warned, it takes a while.

I strongly recommend you play Skate Story.

Ich habe es lange gar nicht in Erwägung gezogen. Das Verlangen nach der Existenz eines surrealistischen Skate-Spiels, in dem man als gläserner Dämon die Monde der Unterwelt verspeist.

Nein, das Jahr 2025 wäre in diesem Genre fast von einer kulturbefreiten Monetarisierungs-Maschine aus dem Hause EA dominiert worden.
Und dann beweist im Dezember ein Solo-Entwickler aus New York City: Unendliche Tausendfüßler, geplagte Tauben oder eine regelvernarrte Kreatur aus Hausstaub mit problematischer Kindheit. In einem Kosmos zwischen Stillstand und der Rastlosigkeit der immerwährenden Nacht. Unter strikter Aufsicht der Ministeriumsabteilung des Todes.
Das sind die Zutaten für ein Skate-Abenteuer, das sich trotz seiner Absurdität so persönlich und real anfühlt wie wohl kaum ein Genrevertreter zuvor.

Die Synthese aus erstklassigen Skate-Mechaniken, einzigartigem Stil und markant verschlungen vorgetragener Geschichte mit viel Bezug zur Realität sowie reichlich Kuriositäten drückt bei mir all die richtigen Knöpfe.
Dazu steckt im Spiel ein komplettes Album der anonymen Indie-Pop-Band Blood Cultures. Ein Match made in Hell™; passen die ätherischen, traumartigen Klänge und der nach skurrilen nächtlichen Abenteuern riechende Drive der Songs doch perfekt zu den rasanten Eskapaden unseres Skaters.

Das Geschwindigkeitsgefühl ist enorm, während die Nachvollziehbarkeit der Steuerung und der Kollisionsabfragen meist gewahrt bleibt. Die überzeugend animierten Spezial-Moves sind mit dem Gamepad ohne Verknotungen ausführbar, während visuelle und auditive Effekte für das gewisse Extra an <Wow!> und Taktilität sorgen.
Neben den schnellen Action-Passagen bietet Skate Story auch Bosskämpfe und weitläufigere Bereiche zum freien Erkunden. Diese bringen unter anderem optionale Skillscore-Herausforderungen und Sammelgegenstände mit. Es gibt coole Sticker fürs Board zu finden und Seelen zu verdienen, die wir in den Shops gegen neue Designs eintauschen können.

Der Flow ist meist sehr gut; ein paar Mal war ich etwas verwirrt, wie und wo es weitergeht.
Das Spiel macht mit seinem Level Design vieles richtig, hätte aber auch noch etwas "mehr" wagen können. Der Entwickler Sam Eng (selbst Skater) hat sich hier alles in allem auf den Kern des Sports konzentriert. In Relation zu seiner Welt bleibt das Gameplay dadurch eher bodenständig. Also...wirklich mit Betonung auf "in Relation". Denn die ein oder andere überraschende Sequenz gibt es auf jeden Fall.

Unterstrichen wird das ganze jederzeit von der unfehlbaren visuellen Präsentation. Lebendige Farben, fließende Muster, prominent aber doch mit viel Feingefühl eingesetzte Filter und Effekte, die Schriftart - all diese Komponenten wirken wie aus einem Guss und zugleich so frisch.
[i]So[/i] frisch, dass ich mit Gewissheit sagen kann, dass ich noch nie einen ähnlichen Look wie den von Skate Story gesehen habe. Und wie oft kommt das noch vor in der reichhaltigen modernen Spielewelt, in der es gefühlt doch schon alles gibt? Frische Hardware schadet auch nicht, Skate Story ist durchaus ressourcenhungrig.

Ein Servicehinweis noch zur deutschen Übersetzung: Vielleicht besser übergehen. Ich habe nur kurz reingeschaut, aber sie wirkte gleich sehr gestelzt und unnatürlich. Die englische Vorlage ist anspruchsvoll, aber der direkte Schreibstil mit vielen schönen Formulierungen ist es wert.

Immer wieder musste ich darüber schmunzeln, wie trocken die absurden Geschehnisse in den durch dezente Mumble-Speech vertonten Dialogen aufgegriffen werden. Selbst als Muttersprachler ist es wohl kaum möglich, alles immer zu deuten, aber muss das immer sein, wenn es so gut klingt? Dem narrativen Rahmen ist jedenfalls gut zu folgen und der finale Klimax nimmt sich alle Zeit, die er benötigt.

I love Skateboarding & Skateboarding games, but for the longest time they almost always seem to lend themselves to either attempting to replicate the Tony Hawk games or Building upon the Skate. games formula.

Very rarely do we see Skateboarding games that push themselves further than being a high score chaser or just a skating sandbox. With a few exceptions to the rule. (Shoutout Helskate)

Skate Story takes everything I love about skating & skate culture & flips it on its head into this surrealist, existential adventure through Hell & it's genuinely gorgeous. It's grimy, it's gritty, it's rough around the edges both literally & figuratively, it has a phenomenal soundtrack that's as manic & unpredictable as its plot, all packaged up into the most human & yet otherworldly experience i've had in a game in a very long time.

I could go into specifics but honestly i'd rather people just go in & experience it for themselves.

People love to throw the word "Masterpiece" around a lot nowadays, but I truly believe in a world fuelled by corporate injustice, the mistreatment of artists over the trend of generative AI & the constant demand for games as a service over an experience, this game truly is a masterpiece all of its own.

Skate Story is a love letter to skating, to videogames & to the beauty & sincerity of human made art.

A gorgeous, grimy, glass covered & blood stained act of rebellion.

Самая незаслуженно непопулярная игра, требующая больше внимания со стороны гейм сообщества (особенно со стороны любителей инди), по моему скромному мнению

Игра повествует о грешнике, что желает проглотить Луну. Он заключает сделку с дьяволом ради осуществления своего желания, но после поглощения тот превращается в демона из стекла и лишается души. Чтобы её вернуть нужно пройти все круги Ада и поглотить все Луны.

Звучит абсурдно, но это и есть фишка игры.

Игру не описать словами, её нужно просто один раз увидеть своими глазами. Невероятный визуал, невероятный саундтрек и дичайший абсурд.
Залипнуть в игре можно даже просто ради того, чтобы покататься под саундтрек от группы Blood Cultures

Единственное что можно выделить из минусов, так это сыроватость в сюжетной составляющей. В остальном это эстетический оргазм и интересная интерпретация концепции Ада/Кругов Данте, наконец то что то свежее в этом тропе!!!

Советую любителям свежих ощущений, скейтбордистам и вайбушникам

This isn't just a video game, it's a lifechanging work of art that is so remarkable it has literally made me enthralled. It is a masterpiece conglomeration of beautiful media that you cannot describe properly with words. This is possibly the best thing I have ever experienced on a computer, no exaggeration, no BS, it is the embodiment of the flow state in digital form. Thank you Sam Eng, you have made me a fan of your work forever. I would have paid $1000 for this after knowing how insanely god tier it is and yet I got it for $6. If it was even possible to make something beyond this I don't have the mental capacity to comprehend such a creation. I would literally nuclear bomb the recommendation button if I was the US Department of War.

Escribo esto justo despues de terminar el juego. Fue una de las experiencias mas maravillosas que he tenido el placer de probar. Los controles son excelentes, realizar trucos se siente muy bien, esto viene acompañado de un gran feedback en el control a la hora de hacerlo. Los escenarios visualmente son encantadores pero aqui es donde encuentro uno de los pocos problemas del juego, muchas barandillas y plataformas parecen no estar puestas de la mejor forma, provocando muchas caidas que se pueden volver frustrantes. La musica es una de las mejores cosas que tiene este juego, cuanta con la participacion de "Blood Cultures" una banda que no conocia y sin exagerar se volvio una de mis bandas favoritas, con canciones hipnotizantes, reconfortantes, motivadoras y muy emotivas, con la fuerza e impacto necesario como para hacerme llorar en los tramos finales del juego. La historia es criptica y a ratos ilogica e incomprensible pero eso es lo que la hace especial, puedes encerrar casi cualquier significado, emocion o pensamiento propio en cada palabra que tiene este juego por lo ambiguas que son, haciendo muy sencillo que te puedas identicar en la historia. En general es una experiencia muy recomendable pero es de resaltar que no es para todos. Por mi parte creo que es un juego excelente que me esta acompañando en situaciones complicadas de mi vida, ademas de ser el regalo de un amigo por lo que es posible que mi opinio este sesgada pero aun asi, muchas gracias Sam Eng por entregarnos un producto tan diferente y emocional como este.

This game is fantastic. I get a better "sense of speed" while playing this than a lot of modern racing games. At one point I was going so fast (like 30 mph or something) the screen was very blurry and I couldn't really see where I was going. Just kinda vibed my way down the course jamming to the music. Truly an awesome feeling in a game like this

No other game really encapsulates a viscerally surreal feeling like this. It's probably as close as you can get to playing out a dream in real life. The gameplay is slick, the music is atmospheric (Unarchiver, especially, is an earworm), and the visuals are other worldly. The story is as hilarious and absurd as it is deeply introspective. I believe Skate Story is one of the greatest indie games ever made.

From the trailer I had a feeling this would be a classic. Having completed the game and feeling tempted to start a second run, I can confirm this. The vibes are immaculate, powered by the soundtrack from Blood Cultures and unique visuals. The story surprisingly hit close to home as well.

I typically don't play skating games, but would recommend this to anyone who is even slightly interested after seeing the trailer.

試しにデモ版をプレイ。チャプター１を収録しているそうだが、すぐに購入した。
ストーリーは変なんだけど、理解不能とか難解とかいうんではなく、我々が生きるこの「世界」とは異なる世界の常識や文法で語られているという感じなのが新鮮。

悪魔はガラス製だからちょっと段差に引っかかっただけで割れてしまうが、その場で即蘇ってくれて有難い。
ベーグル屋さん？の店員のカエルがめちゃくちゃかわいい。BGMも良い。

A game that separates itself from the communities "norms". The surreal atmosphere joined by the vast psychedelic and artistic visuals, the soundtrack that mirrors each section of the game and perfectly matches the targeted theme becomes second nature; echoing in the mind with complete engagement but also relaxation. Very much recommend this game as it provides a nice single player experience.

Genuinely a work of art. Came out of this a huge fan of Blood Cultures. I feel like John Fio doesn't get enough flowers because his tracks are also phenomenal during the more open sections.

Skate Story is a unique take on skateboarding games. It prioritises vibes and atmosphere over the game aspects, which didn't surprise me based on the trailer. Despite that, the actual skating mechanic feels incredibly good due to well-tuned physics. You can feel the weight and momentum when going fast and doing a powerslide, which feels incredible.
The game has some issues, mainly with level design and pacing, but those didn't detract me from overall enjoyment. This game was made with so much passion, and there's nothing else like it.
Oh, and did I mention the soundtrack? Every track on this game is a banger and fits perfectly into the overall vibe.

Not only is Skate Story a pretty game, and a great-sounding game, it puts fun as the primary focus. The bar for what you HAVE to be able to do to beat the game is fairly low, so you’re not fighting against the game trying to pull off 100,000 point combos just to progress to the next chapter. It’s just fun to play the game, relax, and look cool doing it.

The move set is limited, but I think that’s for the best. You don’t need to be a pro Street Fighter competitor flicking your thumbsticks all around to execute the tricks in Skate Story. It’s accessible for people like me who are intimidated by games that require you to study a move list 5 pages long.

Because you’re made of glass, you die A LOT. But it doesn’t feel punishing in the least. The game brings you back to life within 0.5 seconds you the nearest spot you ate dirt so you can try to grind that rail for the 5th try.

The story itself is wild and pretty strange, but I just rolled with it because it all sounds beautiful the entire time. The soundtrack to Skate Story is kind of like your chauffeur in the underworld. Letting you rely on the fact that no matter what the hell is going on or where you’re going, Blood Cultures is going to make you feel the way Sam Eng wanted you to feel during every moment of the game.

Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

There's a genre of games I've come to appreciate recently. Games that take slightly niche sports and create fantastical gameworlds around these sports. I'm talking about Rollerdrome (roller derby) and Wheel World (cycling) and now this game.

Skate Story is definitely the most fantastical of all, taking the protagonist through layers of hell as imagined by a surrealist skatepark designer. The game references Alice in Wonderland, Greek mythology, and the modern urban pave-scape along the way. There are humorous and memorable characters along the way, many of whom serve no purpose but to provide anti-lore drops. I say anti-lore because the game seems more interested in providing a sense of poetry and fun gameplay than in having the player understand anything about the wacky world our hero must get through.

The game itself is generally quite forgiving in its gameplay. There are a few challenges that are time-limited but those rarely posed a problem. In line with some of the other ways the lone dev who built this artistic masterpiece ignored perceived wisdom, [spoiler] the most difficult part of the game was a random timed obstacle course about 3/4 of the way through the game. By comparison, the final boss was nothing. [/spoiler]

I played this on my Steam Deck. I likely missed out on some of the beauty a larger screen and better graphics card would offer but it worked perfectly.

Definitely a recommend. Totally worth a try so long as you don't demand a truly difficult challenge.
