Short adventure with amazing atmosphere and music, achieving a lot with very simple visual style and interactions. It could easily fall into being pretensious with its theme, but manages to stay very sincere and satisfying. I also appreciate it allowing to continue playing every time you reach one of the possible endings instead of forcing you to restart it to explore everything, as well as the ability to save despite short length, which may not sound like a lot but it's something a lot of short indie games are missing.

This game was pretty cool, the art style was definitely fitting and fit me into the edgy kind of end of time vibe? Or i guess it could be start of time vibe, this adds to the mystery of the game of not knowing what's happening, but just doing what the guy tells you to cause its the only thing you CAN do. The what seems like symbolism to me in this game is also really good leaving interpretation for anyone (i believe atleast) this is a really good short game worth checking out.

You play as a little shadow-looking guy that wakes up in a cave, you break out and you find yourself in a desert. This desert could represent life and how 'meaningless' it all seems in contrast to the wide universe that we exist in. There are other shadow-looking guys around that dig holes endlessly for no reason. You can't get any more on the nose than that. It's a pretty good game. Play it (if you want).

It didn't feel like a choice to dig where I dug. There's only one path laid out for us, like we discuss with this one character.

The game's achievements--the ones I didn't get--tell me there are other outcomes, but this one seems like the only one that really counts. Really, there's only one path.

P.S. My cursor was glitching in this game, it wobbled around and moved with a huge delay. It doesn't seem to be intentional, but inadvertently added to the game's theme.

The game starts after your character died in life ...... Then you got sent to hell where your only choices are to:

!. Do nothing forever
2. Wander forever in the scorching desert
3. Dig Sand forever in the desert to accomplish nothing

For achievement hunters, you can sacrifice a part of your limited time on this earth to get a +1 perfect game on your meaningless steam profile. If you choose this path, you will likely spend and eternity digging sand for no purpose in the afterlife.

The start of the game feels almost like an interpretation of Plato's cave, although it doesn't actually have anything to do with it. The game itself is obviously inspired by Albert Camus's [i]Myth of Sisyphus[/i] although it has its own take on it. Without getting into spoilers, I wouldn't be able to tell it was directly inspired by the book without the game expressly stating it, although it definitely shares the same philosophical ideas. The game is definitely absurdist, although I also get a lot of existentialism from it. The idea of digging also reminds me of [i]Holes[/i] by Louis Sachar, although I don't think there is any relation.

The art style is extremely simple with monochromatic lines which seem hand drawn. The music is also nice. It certainly works for the game setting, although the white background is a bit harsh on the eyes at time. Make sure you are playing with sound because it's necessary for one of the puzzles. The cursor was a bit janky, although it might have just been an issue with my settings. There was also a bug where I seemed to get stuck on one of the dialogues, although it was fixed after I restarted the game.

A short experience that I think people who have read [i]The Myth of Sisyphus[/i] and are into certain areas of philosophy will enjoy, although you don't need any experience with philosophy to enjoy it.

an interesting experience that i do not regret... The artist style and music were spot-on. my only issue with the game itself was that it took me about half an hour of fruitless attempts to trigger the protagonist's observation of the "crack in the stalactite" and thus most of my in-game experience consisted of me walking back and forth in the first section of the closed-off cave attempting to figure out whether or not i was missing an element to some profound puzzle. this may have been an issue with my system and thus will not effect my recommendation of the game to those who would enjoy a short experience inspired by the myth of Sisyphus as analyzed by a Intro to Philosophy 101 course.

Estamos ante un juego muy corto donde lo de menos es lo que hay que hacer, lo importante es la historia que transmite. No es un juegazo, de hecho diría que es una experiencia interactiva. Casi todas las carencias que tiene se compensan con su duración y su final. Cuando tengas ese momento de querer jugar algo que te de que pensar y dure poquito aqui tienes algo interesante.

its very philosophical. Its a nice, very short game with a simple yet eerie art style I adore. I did have a very minor visual glitch at one point but it went away when changing rooms. I wish it was longer, but then what's the point? We're going to dig anyways.

I don't mean to be rude but I've played games like "do nothing" where you, do nothing, and got more joy out of that than this game. I can't see a purpose or reasoning for it existing other than trying to appear "deep". 0/10

The music, the atmosphere, everything is just.. beautiful
That feeling I felt when I finished it was surreal!!

The beginning was pretty annoying though, I had to spend a few mins figuring out how to get through the stalactite

Short point&click game. When I started the game, I thought that it would be a waste of time but to my surprise, enjoyed it. I found some added value in small thing like "escaping the world" or other achievements + the music was good. It was worth the time!

- can be a bit clumsy
