Erstmal Respekt an alle Mitglieder der DgzrS das sie raus fahren wenn andere reinkommen. Aber Zweitens dieses Spiel ist kompletter Mist die Maussteuerung fühlt sich schwergänig und irgendwie betrunken an. Dazu noch ein komplett unrealistisches Toturial ist für mich ein no go.

Es ist ein altes spiel, aber mir macht es, bis auf die Hin und Rückfahrt sehr viel Spaß. Und da ist auch das Problem, der Zeitraffer ist nur 4 fach und selbst da dauert es gern 20 real Life Minuten bis zum Unglücksort. Das ist zwar sehr realistisch, aber nicht sehr interessant. Programmiert ist es gut, habe bis jetzt keine Bugs gefunden, bis auf ein par Glitches in der Grafik. Wenn man ein geduldiger Mensch ist der keine High end Grafik Braucht ist das ein super Spiel!

Wie gerne hätte ich das Spiel weiterempfohlen…Die Idee, simpel und dennoch sinnvoll für die DGzRS zu werben, ist grandios. Die Umsetzung leider mangelhaft.

Angefangen bei der Grafik: So detailreich und liebevoll die Rettungskreuzer aussehen, so hässlich und grob ist alles andere. Okay – bei manchen Häfen, die man ansteuert, wurde sich auch Mühe gegeben, aber die anderen Schiffe und Landschaften könnten Minecraft entsprungen sein. Dazu kommen immer mal wieder Grafikbugs – man kann sich mit dem Tochterboot unter den Kreuzer buggen oder daran hängen bleiben.

Die Steuerung lässt auch zu wünschen übrig. Es ist anspruchsvoll, ein Schiff bei Wind und Seegang zu steuern, aber Wasser ist dynamisch und gerade beim Bergen von Personen wird man immer wieder von sehr ruckartigen, abgehackten „Wellen-“Bewegungen überrascht und gestört.

Leider gibt es auch keine Speicherpunkte in den Missionen, was bei Abstürzen und eben auch Bugs störend ist. Das aber, was bei Spielen aber die Spreu vom Weizen trennt, kategorisiert diesen Schiffssimulator bei der Spreu ein. Die Missionen sind eintönig und repetitiv. Es gibt die grundlegenden Tätigkeiten Schiffe zu löschen und abzuschleppen und Personen zu bergen. Mehr nicht. Aufgaben, wie Pumpen anbringen sind mit einem Klick auf das Feld „Pumpe anbringen“ getan. Von Mission zu Mission ändert sich das Wetter und die Reihenfolge, aber die Tätigkeiten sind immer die gleichen.

Genug der Schelte – was hat das Spiel denn Positives? Die Seenotkreuzer selbst sind sehr hübsch gestaltet, der Funkverkehr ist eine teils ironische, authentische Untermalung des Gameplays. Die Missionen haben eine angenehme Länge und selten gibt es auch mal interessant-knifflige Suchaufgaben.

Ich bin überzeugt, dass man mit mehr Einsatz bei der Umsetzung ein tolles Spiel hätte entwickeln können. Wirklich gute Schiffssimulatoren sind bisher eine Marktlücke und mit vielseitigeren Missionen – und vielleicht sogar mal einem Multiplayer-Modus – hätte ein zweiter Teil bestimmt viel Potenzial.

This is still a good game for ship simulator fans, they have recreated Helgoland beautifully and it's comparable to Google Earth images & it offers a unique sea experience. The ship graphics are also okay, just a pity that the buoys or other objects don't light up at dusk. The controls are ok, but cannot be set, but you can steer the ship with the arrow keys. Highly recommended for people who like to do various rescue operations at sea and enjoy cruising at sea.

The playability of this game sucks....... It's very hard to follow what you're meant to do, with the radio being useless for advice. An example is the mobile phone call mission and it talks about transfering the radio coms into the sister ship and people on a cliff waving... I have the name of the cliff, but I have no idea where that is and all it takes me to is a way point no where near a cliff and refering to the game manual is no help in regards to gameplay. Great idea but badly executed

So its getting a dislike for a couple reasons.
Pros
-Story is alright not good not bad
- Game is easy to learn

now i will start will the cons
- The game and controls are simplified to a mind numbing simplified extent
- The game isnt a true simulator its more a story telling game
- Just about nothing in this game feels realistic
-They pretty much tried to replicate simultor features with BS time consuming tasks. Not fun at all.

I cant recommend this for anyone wanting an actual game... not worth more than $1 just way to simple and small to be anything else.

What i did not like about this game was the lack of realism of the ship controls. A big rescue vessel turns like a Jet Ski. Way too manouverable. Same with acceleration and deceleration; Ships seem to have no mass.

This game is a great one. It is like an adventure-simulator.
I think many people misunderstand this fact, and criticize this game not being an all round sim.
In reality, the game focuses a lot on narration and credible, based on real emergency cases, missions.
It is real that it lacks completely a damage model for the ships, and maybe (I say maybe) the wind and streams effects aren't enough strong (or, better said, they are non perceivable adequately just because they can't do damage to the ship). but, on the other side, the water buoyancy effect, the waves, the weather, the mass of both the water and the vessels, the inertia and the relatives interactions with other vessels and objects are modeled in an incredibly realistic and enjoyable way, I really haven't seen something similar altough being a sim player from when I was a kid.
And remember that probably the ship can't be damaged because the developers wants to focus on the narrative effect of the missions, not imposing time limits or game overs damage conditions to it.
It can be a questionable choice, but it should be respected, if it is the case. I don't think at all that a team that realistically modeled the effects of an immense water mass in a so credible way would have problems modeling at least a simple damage model.
And is this narrative approach that really let the player feel a dramatic and at the same time very enjoyable atmosphere, a thing pure sims often forgot completely, and the lacks of true game over conditions gives the game a relaxing and less punitive sensation relating to many other games.
Last but not least, also the modeling of the daughter ships are very good, and the immense difference in mass and buoyancy respect to the main ships is extremely well perceivable both graphically and dinamically.
Some missions are a little tricky (like the second of the Heligoland first campaign), but they are designed that way, the player must think before acting.
The most annoying thig is that the game lacks a save-game-during-missions option, so if you decide to leave a mission at his half-completion, then you must restart it from the beginning.
The game has 2 locations, 4 campaign for location and 4 missions for campaign: a total of 32 missions, not bad!
and for each location, there are 3 free cruise missions in different weather conditions, for a total of 6 more. And not to forget the tutorial mission, a very intriguing and dramatic one, where the protagonist ends his course and is promoted as the effective commander of the rescue ship after the completion.
I feel I can recommend this game to a large audience of players, fort being more forgiving, for having smart and interesting missions, for the dialogues, narration and the interesting characters, and for having a realism focused at enhanching the fun and enjoyability, instead of frustrating the player. And last but not least it gives a nice depiction of the German Maritime SAR and of Sea SAR Operations in general, and how complex and dangerous these maritime missions must be in real life.

EDIT: I was able to actually sink a ship in a mission, obtaining a mission failure.

Wie immer - Licht und Schatten! Letzten Endes muss jede:r selbst entscheiden, ob er:sie das Spiel mag. Ich mag es, allerdings hänge ich gerade an einer Stelle, wo es mich auch ärgert, Fin für die Fines (letzte Mission Nordsee). Ich habe wie verrückt gesucht und trotzdem den letzten der gefühlt 111 Schiffbrüchigen nicht gefunden. Es gibt dann keine Möglichkeit außer abbrechen und beim nächsten Mal von vorne beginnen. Mal schauen, ob es noch klappt.

Kleine Tipps am Rande: Immer gleich die Logbucheintragungen lesen! Da sind einige wichtige Hinweise enthalten. Und wenn man das Gefühl hat, es passiert irgendwie nichts, einfach mal funken, manchmal ergibt sich dabei etwas.

Was finde ich schön:
- Die Seenotkreuzer sind sehr original (wenn man auch leider kaum etwas bedienen kann).
- Das Verhalten der Kreuzer auf dem Wasser und die Wellen erscheint mir sehr gut gemacht (Physik).
- Sehr viele verschiedene schöne Wetter- und Lichtstimmungen.
- Die liebevoll gestalteten Einleitungs- und Überleitungsfilme.
- Den toll gesprochenen Funkverkehr mit passenden Stimmen, gbt Persönlichkeit, obwohl es keine direkten Spielfiguren gibt.
- Die Missionen sind interessant und verschiedenartig. Die Musik ist passend, lässt sich aber auch abschalten, wenn man sie nicht mag.

Was finde ich nicht so toll:
- Die KI-Schiffe sind meist nicht schön und teilweise sehr merkwürdig gestaltet, was die Art und Größe angeht (z. B. KüMo sieht aus wie ein Fischkutter, winzige Nussschale soll angeblich 4,50m Tiefgang haben).
- Die Bedienung ist nicht ganz einheitlich, z. B. steigt mal eine Person von der Strickleiter von alleine um, wenn man nur das Schiff nahe genug heran bringt, ein anderes Mal muss man sie im Ego-Modus von der Strickleiter "pflücken".
- Einige Längen, wie sehr lange Transferfahrten oder langwierige Suchaktionen nach Schiffbrüchigen. Dadurch ist beim Start einer Mission schlecht abschätzbar, wie lange es dauern wird. Speichern und später weiter machen geht leider nicht. Man sollte also nicht beginnen, wenn man nur limitierte Zeit hat.
- Es fehlt eine Hilfe-Funktion im Spiel. Ein paar Mal wusste ich nicht, was jetzt erwartet wird (wie die Sache mit dem Ego-Modus beim Abbergen von der Strickleiter). Da habe ich mich mit "Pause" und einem Blick in ein Letsplay bei Youtube beholfen, aber es wäre schön, wenn einem das Spiel einen kleinen Tipp geben könnte, wenn man nicht weiter kommt. Auch eine allgemeine Hilfe, z. B. mit den Tastaturkürzeln, wäre gut.
- Einige Tätigkeiten wie z.B. Lenzen sind weniger als angedeutet.

Fazit: Es ist definitiv kein Simulator, der eine naturgetreue Bedienung zulässt oder auch nur tiefere Erkenntnisse in Sachen Navigation oder Schiffstechnik ermöglicht. Das Spiel gibt aber meiner Meinung nach einen guten Einblick in den Arbeitsalltag der Seenotretter. Dazu gehören natürlich auch die Längen bei den Fahrstrecken. Mit einem Lkw-Simulator fährt man ja auch stundenlang über die Autobahn, einfach, weil es zum Berufsbild dazu gehört. Man erkennt, dass Seenotrettung insbesondere bei Schietwetter echt harte Arbeit ist, es ist auch gut dargestellt, dass neben den Elementen auch Menschen nicht ganz einfach sein können. Man sieht, dass Seenotrettung ohne Teamarbeit nicht geht, und dass ein Seenotretter auch ein findiges Köpfchen braucht, weil jede Situation individuelle Lösungen erfordert. Also, für mich mehr ein Berufssimulator als ein Bedienungssimulator. Und man bekommt großen Respekt vor den Menschen, die diese Tätigkeit ausüben, oft auch ehrenamtlich.

Ich würde das Spiel in jedem Fall allen Leuten mit einem Herz für das Meer und die Seefahrt empfehlen. Wer ein Schiff originalgetreu bedienen möchte, ist hier fehl am Platze. Wer sich aber von der Stimmung und den schönen Bildern mitnehmen lässt, wird es mögen, außer er:sie ärgert sich über Aufgaben, wo man keine Lösung findet und den Spielstand nicht zwischendrin abspeichern kann.

Die Idee für so ein Spiel ist grundsätzlich gut allerdings ist die Umsetzung des Spiels einfach nur Schlecht. Leider gibt es zu viele Bugs und auch manch grafische Textur ist nicht sehr schön anzusehen.Hab es deswegen wider zurückgegeben.

Pure BDSM in last missions for both seas when you need to find 100500 castaways in darkness, mysti, hard stormy sea. Simulator? No piece of chocolate. Where are castaways jackets blinking in light? Where is helicopter helping to search? Where are other boats? And where is real judgment of time? 30 mins in north sea water - they are dead - stop mission. It started off ok but on the level where you have to keep the fire hoses on the fishing trawler is highly annoying.
The Hermann Marwede sounds like a speed boat this is the main rescue ship going backwards takes forever.

Ich mag das Spiel und spiele es gerne nebenbei. Die Storys des Spieles sind interessant gestaltet, jedoch ist die Umsetzung der Sprecher Rollen ziemlich mies. Nicht das die Sprecher selbst schlecht wären aber das Gesagte ist manchmal derart dämlich umgesetzt.

Ich hatte das seltene Glück einen der im Spiel befindlichen Seenotkreuzer nicht nur besichtigen zu können sondern sogar mal steuern zu dürfen. Zudem kenne ich die Schauplätze recht gut. Daher kann ich sagen, daß die Darstellung der Umgebung bestenfalls unterste Schublade ist, die Grafik aus Zeiten stammt in denen Prozessorleistungen im 2-stelligen Mhz-Bereich noch als absolutes Nonplusultra galten und die Steuerung bestenfalls mit einer Planierraupe mit Motorschaden und fehlenden Ketten zu vergleichen ist.
Immerhin ist die Qualität der Sprachausgabe recht ordentlich und die Szenarien an sich glaubhaft, wenn auch teilweise aufgrund der dämlich gebauten Steuerung nicht lösbar.
Wer eine Simulation über die DGzRS sucht wird hier wohl nicht fündig werden. Schade das Bremen das abgesegnet hat.
Finger weg, Frustpotenzial so weit wie das Meer! Spendet das Geld für den Kaufpreis besser direkt an DGzRS, damit ist mehr bewirkt!

So far i've only completed the tutorial and got 5 achievements for that; nice! The frame rate is quite good 50 - 60 most of the time in 1600 x 900 at 'nice' quality one step lower than the highest quality which is called 'fantastic'. At SGD 3.20 (80% off) i think it's a good deal, i mean steal.

Things you can do:

[*]You can walk around the rescue boat and board the daughter boat at the back.
[*]You can launch a rope to attach to another boat to tow it.
[*]You can use the fire extinguisher view to aim the water cannon to douse the flames on a burning boat.
[*]There is a close camera view of the rescue or extraction of a castaway from the sea from the daughter boat.
[*]You use the com radio before returning to base; i think that's a required part of gameplay.

All in all in think there is a wide variety of things to do in this game. The rescue boat looks detailed and realistic. Overall good enough for me [b]7/10[/b].

Ich bin ein großer Fan der DGzRS und der deutschen Seenotkreuzer! Ich finde es daher gut, dazu ein Spiel zu machen! Aber dieses Spiel hier ist leider ziemlich billig und ohne, dass sich jemand viele Gedanken gemacht hat, programmiert worden.

Die Dialoge für die Missionen sind gut und kreativ geschrieben, jedoch bringt auch das nicht so viel, wenn der Rest enttäuschend ist...
Die Seenotkreuzer sind grafisch schön animiert, aber viele Details sind leider einfach ohne Funktion. (z.B. Schlepphaken oder Instrumente auf der Brücke) Der Rest der Grafik ist leider ziemlich enttäuschend - das Meer ist schnell einfach nur glatt, die Inseln sind von weitem schön, aber man kann sie nicht betreten. Auch wenn es dann anfängt zu stürmen, der Regen, alles das ist traurigerweise sehr einfach gehalten.
Jetzt zum Gameplay die Missionen fangen gut an, jedoch wiederholen sie sich relativ schnell wieder. Klar mag es sein, dass ein echter Seenotretter auch nicht so viel Abwechslung hat, aber für so ein Spiel hätte man sich mehr Mühe geben können. Was vielleicht auch realistisch sein soll, jedoch für ein Computerspiel ziemlich sch***** ist, sind die elend langen Fahrten zum Einsatzort, hier hätte man vielleicht ein paar Anpassungen vornehmen können. DIe Steurung bzw. Steuerungsgenauigkeit könnte besser sein, man kann sich jedoch damit arrangieren.

Alles in allem ist für das eigentliche Potenzial dieses Themenfeldes zu schnell und ohne viel Arbeit programmiert worden.
Ich würde es wahrscheinlich nicht nochmal kaufen und das Geld lieber so an die DGzRS spenden!

I had pretty low expectations of this game and they we're only just met.
Encountered a bug early on where my joystick or steering wheel was causing an control conflict.
Once I'd resolved that, the game is alright. Nothing fantastic but a good game in its class. Voice acting is average at best, cringe worthy at times.

Ich habe richtig Bock auf den Simulator gehabt! Nur leider stockt das Game alle 2 Sekunden. Man kann so nicht spielen. Ich wüsste gerne wie dies geändert wird. Alle anderen Steam-Spiele funktionieren auf meinem PC.

Would I recommend this game? Yes, to any ship fan I would. Is it perfect? No. I must admit some aspects of this game are mind-boggeling. But the setting is so unique, if you are into ship-games, then this is for You! THe story is interesting, even tough predictable. But what really makes this game special is the fact... there is as far as I can tell no sea resque game out there other than this. So if it is on sale or if you are a geeky fan, get it. If you expect hyper-realism and complex stuff... this might not be for you.

Einfach nur schlecht umgesetzt. Selbst der Schiffsimulator 2006 ist besser umgesetzt. Grafik ist grauenhaft, man kriegt nicht erklärt, was man machen soll, um Personen aus dem Meer zu ziehen und die allgemeine Darstellung des Wassers is unmöglich. Legt das Geld lieber sinnvoll an und spendet es komplett an die DGzRS. Wirklich schade.

The game is similar to Ship Simualtor Extremes and it is quite simple to learn. It can be fun if you enjoy driving a boat and ocasionally do some rescues.

At first, the controls of the small boat can be frustrating but once you undestand that it is better to steer on place and then move forward, it all becomes more simple. In other words don't use A or D together with W while driving the small boat. Use A or D to turn in place and then use W to advance.

I had no issues with the FPS or grapnics as other reviews say.

The game is based on missions and there are about 24 of them. You unlock them as you go, plus there is a free ride mode with weather condition options. I guess it is a mode for reaxing while looking at the sea. There is nothign special about it.

Also, you will need to learn to switch from orbiter camera F1 to first person F11 because you need them quite often. While on the small boat, F1 and F10 (the rescue camera) are needed. The rest of the camera modes are optional.

You can stear the boat with W A S D in all camera modes except the First person F11.

If you want to set up the speed and not use the W and relax then you need to use the mouse to drag the contols on the low right of the screen to the top position.

This is not a game for everyone. You might need to watch some youtube clips to see if you like it.

Ce jeu n'a de simulateur que le nom... Le bateau se pilote comme une voiture en mode arcade, on ne peut pas prendre les commandes du cockpit virtuel et les missions sont répétitives. De plus, une partie de l'intérieur des bateaux est modélisée mais beaucoup de portes apparaissent comme verrouillées donc on ne peut pas se balader dans l'intégrité du bâtiment. Muy buen juego, a pesar de las críticas. Buen simulador de rescate. Aunque no de navegación, dado que es bastante irreal. Tan solo hay 2 barcos con sus 2 respectivas lanchas de rescate, pero tiene una campaña bastante larga.

Aunque en ocasiones las misiones se hacen largas y aburridas, es un buen juego, y cómo los propios desarrolladores saben que algunos trayectos son bastante largos, te dan la opción de multiplicar la velocidad del juego hasta x4.

Si te gustan los juegos de barcos y púramente de barcos (nada de batallas ni estrategia), es un buen partido.

Im Großen und Ganzen ein gelungenes Simulationsspiel.

+ Die Story - ja, es gibt eine - wurde gut rübergebracht.
+ Das Gameplay ist vielseitiger als erwartet.
+ Trotz langer Strecken von Punkt A zu Punkt B wird das Spiel nicht so schnell langweilig.

- (riesiger Minuspunkt) eine der letzten Missionen ist nahezu unschaffbar, wodurch ich das Spiel bis heute nicht zu Ende spielen kann. Vielleicht stell ich mich auch nur zu blöd an.

Mir ist bisher kein Bug aufgefallen, der mich am Weiterspielen hinderte.
Es sind kleinere Punkte, wie "durch andere Schiffe fahren" oder "mit dem kleinen Tochterboot ein riesiges Frachtschiff wegschieben" vorhanden, welche bei mir eher ein Schmunzeln und kein Ärger hervorrufen.

Möchtegern-Fazit:
Trotz des sehr gravierenden Minuspunktes, könnte ich es nicht verkraften diesem Spiel einen Daumen nach unten zu geben. :D

As an arcade game it's Okay, but personally I thing it's a bit of a joke refering to this game as a 'Simulator'.

This game does give a basic but fairly decent idea of how sea rescues are often carried out. Graphics are nice but for some reason are unusually heavy on RAM for what you get, resulting in a poor frame rate for something that doesn't appear particularly high-spec.
Controls are pretty rubbish to be honest, these would certainly benefit from having a precise control feature, such as with V-Step's Ship Simulator series, and the boats acutually reponding better to control input, particularly when going astern (reversing).
Physics could do with some fine-tuning, such as the boats being less bouncy over waves that don't appear particularly big or rough, also the afore mentioned poor controls go hand-in-hand with these below-par physics, especially in the case of the smaller daughter-boats.
Have also come across at least one bug. The first being that the already poor controls bring it on themselves to go full ahead on the throttles and full to port (left) on the steering, any atempt to correct them, either by using the keyboard or click-dragging the mouse only working until buttons are released. Sometimes this bug takes affect at the start of gameplay, sometimes only taking affect in the middle of gameplay.

As a spare time arcade game this is okay, but on the whole it's got potential but in need of a great deal of improvement. Taking all into consideration I honestly can't say I recommend this.

Auch hier sollte man nur zugreifen, wenn man ein wirkliches Interesse an diesem Spiel hat. Zwar überwiegen die Vorteile in diesem Game, aber es gibt auch einige Schwächen die es zu berücksichtigen gilt. Diese wären: Einsätze sind trotz Zeitraffer bis zu 4x manchmal unnötig in die Länge gezogen. Kollisionsschäden werden nicht berücksichtigt. Einige Details sind verbesserungswürdig, wie z. B. das Funkgerät, was recht lieblos dargestellt ist. Ebenso die Kajüte mit den Amarturen. Auch die Steuerung könnte verbessert werden in den Bereichen der Löschung und Beibootbergung. Über die Vorteile haben Vorredner schon berichtet, welche ich nur zustimmen möchte. Zweifler sollten vorher bei den "Youtubern" einmal vorbeischauen. Harte Simulatorfans müssen berücksichtigen, dass dieses Game mehr Arcade ist - was ich gut finde. Da ich dieses Game zu 16,24 EUR gekauft habe kann ich über die Nachteile hinwegsehen und finde, dass das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung ist. In Zukunft würde ich mich freuen, wenn es für ein mögliches Addon/DLC auch ein Multiplayer/Coop gäbe. Wenn die benannten Verbesserungspunke berücksichtigt werden, dann steht einem Spitzengame nichts mehr im Wege.

Ich bin ein großer Fan der DGzRS und der Seenotkreuzer! Ich finde das Anliegen daher gut, dazu ein Spiel zu machen! Aber dieses Spiel hier ist leider billig gemacht ohne Systemtiefe!

Grafik: Die Seenotkreuzer sind hübsch animiert und sehen gut aus. Aber alle anderen Schiffe sind grob und häßlich. Da haben die Entwickler gespart!

Man wird durch einige gescriptete Missionen geführt, die von der Idee her ok sind. Aber sie wiederholen sich recht schnell: Personen aus dem Wasser bergen, Feuer löschen oder Schiff abschleppen. Dazu kommen Bugs und Logikfehler.
Die Dialoge sind teilweise recht witzig und unterhaltsam.

Mich stört, dass das Spiel wenig Systemtiefe besitzt. Im Fahrstand kann man wenig machen, die wenigsten Anzeigen sind modelliert. Es ist doch sehr arcade! Ich hätte mir da eine komplexere Schiffssimulation gewünscht!
Hinzu kommt die absolut simple und lieblose Grafik bei der Landschaft und den anderen KI-gesteuerten Schiffen: Da waren die Entwickler faul bzw. haben gespart, wo es nur ging! Ein Billigspiel! So ist es leider nix Halbes und nix Ganzes geworden und dafür finde ich den Preis auch zu hoch!
Schade..eine gute Idee und ein interessantes Simulationskomzept ist hier leider wegen Faulheit und Geiz der Entwickler untergegangen...

They either are full on or full off for the throttles or hard right or hard left for the wheel, and the mouse is not the best way to manouver in tight quarters. Dieses Spiel hat Potenzial richtig gut zu werden wenn die Programmierer einiges verbessern.
Zum einen fehlt es an mehr unterschiedlichen Schiffen und Stützpunkten. Teilweise bestehen die Aufträge aus langen Fahrten zum Einsatzort was mit der Zeit etwas nervig ist da man das Schiff nicht automatisch fahren lassen kann und somit immer die Taste zum fahren gedrückt halten muß.
Auch kann man leider nicht nachlesen ,wenn es ein Update gibt, was diese bewirkt.
Zur Zeit ist diese Spiel meiner Meinung nach nur bedingt Empfehlenswert.
Es gibt auch keinen Hinweis das sich in nächster Zeit etwas gravierendes tun wird.

I'm giving this a 'thumbs down' not because it's a complete disaster. It's not. The game is stable, free of obvious bugs, and it is somewhat engaging for the first couple of hours. Let me run through the first challenge as a case study:

You get a call that some one is in trouble. You put the pedal to the metal and head toward the arrow which indicates where the people are who need rescuing.

You realize very quickly that this is taking a long time. Ten minutes in fact. That's ten minutes of doing nothing but holding down the 'w' key. I discovered later that there's an option that doubles the speed; so reduce the time to five minutes of holding the 'w' key.

[Edit] Greanthal pointed out that I could go at 4X speed. I didn't remember that option so I returned to the game and headed out to sea. Under menu there are several speed options one of which is 'fastest'. This is what I had clicked before and got 2X speed. So I clicked it again and got the same result. What I didn't realize was that 'fastest' is not 'fastest'. If you click the option again you get 4X. I guess it means 'fastest acceleration'.

[Edit] This does not save the game from my thumbs down rating however. In the third mission under the Baltic senario, it still takes 7 minutes at 4X to reach the rescue destination.

Once you arrive on the scene you perform a couple of tasks including pulling three people out of the water. This all takes less time than it took to get there.

Now you discover you have to take the rescued people back to port . . . another five minutes of holding the 'w' key. You get back to port and you find out you have to return to the damaged boat . . . another five minutes of holding the 'w' key.

Back at the rescue site you attach a rope to the boat (takes about a minute) and you turn around to head back to port . . . another five minutes of holding down the 'w' key. I think you get the picture.

Among other issues I have is that you can't turn off the music. It's integrated with the master volume. The music is louder in the menus but still in the background while travelling back and forth holding down the 'w' key.

Also, the claim about the wonderful water physics is a gross exaggeration. I spent most of my childhood on the water, including open sea. The water in this game barely resembles anything I've experienced. A passing boat makes a deep furrow which lingers for an unnaturally long time; it looks more like a large furrow left by a tractor and plow ('plough' if you're outside North America). Worse is that your boats do not interact with these 'furrows'. You practically hover as you pass over them; not so much as a slight dip.

Some one in a review said it might be a $15 title. I'd say it's barely worth it at $10.

Die Idee ist genial, leider ist die Umsetzung höchstens Mittelmaß.
Wenn man nach gefühlten Stunden endlich die Schiffbrüchigen gefunden und teilweise geborgen hat, muß man wieder zurück zum Hafen, danach erneut auslaufen und die Suche geht erneut los. Warum birgt man zwei Leute und läßt die restlichen drei zurück? Dann soll man z.B. mit dem Tochterboot einen Parallelkurs abfahren. Schön, mach ich doch gerne, nur leider anscheinend falsch, denn plötzlich ist die Mission gescheitert. Warum? War ich vielleicht auf der falschen Seite oder zu weit weg oder zu nah? Keine Ahnung. Neustart geht auch nicht, da man nicht speichern kann und somit die ganze Mission wieder von vorne anfangen muss! Warum nicht nur den Teil den man nicht geschafft hat?
Auch die Steuerung ist teilweise miserabel, da man nicht wirklich gut sieht bzw. beim laufen aneckt.

Viel Raum für Verbesserung! Kommt hoffentlich noch per Updates.

Empfehle es zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht.

Примерно так я представлял себе работу морских спасателей. Всё довольно упорядочено, хотя идёт гонка со временем. В отличии от Ship Simulator Extremes, в этой игре, одиночная кампания - это история одного молодого капитана, а не бессвязный набор миссий. Да, под контроль выдаётся всего два катера (для Северного моря побольше, и для Балтийского - поменьше). Но детализация поражает. Впрочем, это же немцы. Кому ещё быть столь педантичным, как не им.

Да, в игре нельзя управлять кораблём с видом от первого лица. Но это и не нужно, так как во время спасательных операций маневры с видом извне, ценятся значительно дороже. Так же подозреваю, что это было сделано ради того, чтобы соблюсти компромисс, между аркадой и симулятором. Разработчикам это удалось вполне.

Игра на любителя, но мне понравилось. 7/10.

З.Ы. Тем, кто решит играть, советую запастись видеокартой с 2 гигабайтами памяти, чтобы выкрутить графические настройки на максимум. В противном случае будут падения в Windows.

First note, that despite the very suggestive title, this is not associated with the game Ship Simulator Extremes that you can also buy on steam, and is developed by a different company. This is both a good and bad thing - it's good because there are many, many fewer graphical bugs and general slowness than you get from the classic ship simulator, but it has problems that I'll get into later.

My biggest concern with the game is the ship physics. They just don't feel right - a long endurance rescue vessel seems more like a small boat, and the boat feels terrible at low speeds, because of how it moves in the wrong direction when trying to steer. This might be realistic, but it sure doesn't seem like it.

Secondly, there's a distinct lack of content. There are only a few other ship classes, and cargo ships are represented by fishing boats etc. It gets annoying, but not too badly. Given the nature of the ships that they've modelled, a true open ocean scenario would be wonderful.

Third, the towing and cable attachment walkaround system is way, way too slow, even in calm seas.

I actually rather like this game. Poor ship physics aside, the campaign is at least okay, and there is a fair amount of diversity. However, it isn't quite worth 25$ - if it was 15$, I'd say you should buy it, but not at the current pricing. I hope that the developers continue to expand the content that's avaliable, though I'm not too hopeful.

Edit (too long for a comment):
I think that the easiest one of my complaints to fix is the walk-around one, I suspect that there's just a constant somewhere that can be changed.

The motor launch dynamics also need to be improved, as the sliding action when attempting to turn at low speeds makes it difficult to perform rescues effectively. However, this might be a realisim thing, as I have very little real experience with these boats.

The thing that I'd like the most to be added, content-wise, is an open-ocean component, far distant from the shore. The Hermann Marwede in particular was designed for this, and it doesn't show up a lot in the game. This would also go well with the addition of the emergency towing vessel Mellum, also based on Heligoland.

Only one real new ship class is needed for freighters, really, and I think that something like a 5,000TEU containerized vessel would be enough. I'm not sure how hard it would be to add, though.

With respect to the missions, something that's been bothering me about the ones that exist already is that they're so close to shore and in good enough weather that the majority would seem to be done by helicopter. It would be nice to make you cooperate with a helicopter, possibly even conducting air operations off of the Marwede.

Finally, a mod kit would be very nice. VSTEP doesn't have one, for reasons I can't determine, but I know that I would be interested at least in developing new content for the game.

I think that implementing any two of my suggestions would make me, at least, reccomend this game. I'm excited to see where the game goes in the future.

Edit #2:
The ship physics are really the worst thing, though. The ships's weight more or less does not exist (the RHIB pushes a 5000 ton freighter around), and the boyancy model is nonexistent. Floating appears to happen based on a uniform height above the water. Furthermore, the drag model doesn't work: when you have a ship under tow, the top speed does not decrease whatsoever.

das Spiel mach richtig spass habe es jetzt ca.5 std. gespielt.Denn Entwicklern ein großen dank für die Idee.
So jetzt mal zu den Pro und Contras dies Spiels.
Pro:
Gute Grafik
Toller Funkverkehr
Gute Wetter und Wellen sim
Tolle Geschichte / Missionen

Contra:
Schlepphaken nicht nutzbar ist zwar vorhanden aber nicht nutzbar nur Poller links oder rechts
Keiner der Fahrstände ob außen oder innen funktionieren leider
auf der Hermann marwese sind die 2 Sessel beim Fahrstand zu niedrig
auf der Harro Koebke kann man sich garnicht hinsetzen
kein schalter fürs die beleuchtung
Das Schiffsverhalten ist auch nicht gut bei 25Kn auf Leerlauf brauchen die schiffe grade mal ca.10m dann stehen die

So das war mein erster Eindruck die Contras können nach meiner Meinung nach gepatcht werden.
Also Liebe Entwickler bleibt dran und macht das Spiel noch besser.

THis game dosent do the job.. it suck.. big time.. a waste of money.. steam.. why you let this crap get into steam.. well.. stupid..

After some issues with the controls I managed to track down the issue. An old joystick driver was giving fake control inputs to the game and making it unplayable. So be aware that you need to get rid of all inputs aside from that which you are using.

The game is something different from the normal shooter or horror survival game that seems to be the norm these days. It is fairly enjoyable and simple to get the hang of. Do not skip the tutorial however or you will be completely lost.

My final verdict is; Wait for a steam sale. The game isn't worth $25 in my personal opinion. However it is definitely enjoyable.
