Shellshock 2 is as awesome as war games can be. 'Nam with zombie-like enemies may sound dumb, but in this game that silly idea is executed with pure, disgustingly raw style where the only way is the extreme way. Typical zombie cliche's and modern moronic ideas presented in "fun" and "funny" games are blown away with shotgun, leaving their rotting heads impaled on a blood-soaked spike. Killing infected soldier in a war should not be depicted as fun, and that's where Shellshock 2 shines: It's dark, ugly, nihilistic - all that is nasty.

This was the first game I ever worked on. It gave me PTSD.
I honestly wouldn't give this game a shot, it's more frustrating at times than enjoyable. It misses the mark on the dark theme it conveys, and throws elements into the mix it shouldn't. Maybe this was an attempt to do something innovative, but instead it shows a lack of consistency and cohesion. Check out my full review on my blog below.

당신은 좀비 게임을 좋아합니까 ? 그렇다면, 쉘쇼크 2 : 블러드 트레일즈는 해볼만한 좀비 게임 타이틀입니다. 전반적인 메이저 게임과 비교해보았을때 나은 점은 없다고 할 수 있지만 쉘쇼크2 게임만의 독특한 게임성이 존재합니다. 베트남전이라고 하지만, 안에서 볼 수 있는 여러 유적들과 좀비들의 패턴 느릿느릿한 오리지널 좀비의 복귀라고 할 수 있는 작품입니다.
다가오는 공포를 확실히 잡아낸 쉘쇼크2 문제점은 너무 구리한 게임 그래픽과 비례하여 너무 높은 사양을 요구하는 것입니다. 단점도 있지만 장점은 게임을 하면서 느낄 수 있는 것은 오리지널 좀비들만의 장점을 느낄 수 있다는 것입니다. 게임자체는 문제점이 많지만 '좀비'라는 개념을 확실히 깨닫게 해줄 수 있는 타이틀입니다.
좀비 게임을 좋아한다면 해볼만한 작품입니다. 그냥, 높은 게임의 퀼리티를 원한다면 매우 비추천드리는 게임입니다. 플레이 시간은 대략 2시간 30분정도 영화 한편을 본다고 생각하면 쉬우며 게임은 대체적으로 자신의 동생을 찾아가는 형의 이야기입니다. 결말을 보았을때 한 부대가 왜, 동생을 따라가야하는지 이해가 안돼는 ... 그런 스토리입니다. 이야기로 게임의 점수를 매기자면 5점 만점에 1점

I bought this because I thought it would be like shellshock: Nam '67...... Its not. The only thing that relates to it is time period and name. It does have zombies and dismemberment though. For the holiday sale its worth buying.
I give this game a 6 out of 10. Not that it's a bad game, no the campain is fine. But its controls are terrible when the enemy is up close. When they are at a distance the controls are fine, but up close and they can be a real pain. The enemies are the vietcon, which body shots are good, but when it comes to fighting zombie, then you want to go with head shots. That's where the controls suck. Because of how the game is set up, your turning and aiming sensitivity are always feeling they they are on soap and ice. Making your guy kind of glide past the head or body and kind of slows your guy down when he's starting to turn. This comes with a disadvantage when fighting multiple enemies because you want to quick scope them out, not gluide right past them. Also it does say that it is a horror game, well it kind of is, but most of the time you can kind of see the jump scare coming. Like you knowit's there and when it happens, it isn't scary. If I were you, I would play the demo, and if you like it how it is, then get the full game. All right.
This game is awful but for two dollars, you can't expect much. The storyline is awful, the voice acting will make you laugh, and the gameplay is so boring, generic, and so easy. You can actually stand in one place without moving for a good 30 seconds while 10 guys are shooting at you..and you will not die. There was one level where I literally knifed every enemy without dying once.

This game is a special kind of bad. One that draws you in out of curiosity. One that makes you go "Well, how bad could it be?" and "What could go wrong with a generic vietnam war shooter that throws in mindless zombies halfway through?". One that makes you drop $2.79 during a Steam sale to experience it. One that has no FoV Slider and extreme amounts of head bob that gives you motion sickness. One that is shaping up to be under 3 hours long. One that has extreme mouse acceleration. One that has enemies literally spawn inside your body. This game is special. This game is a must play. This game is a must avoid. This game is.

За идею большой плюс. На фоне криков, обезумвших от ужаса войны солдат действие происходит в Юго-Восточной Азии. Американцы бесчинутсвуют во Вьетнаме. Всюду разрываются снаряды, горы трупов и мяса. Крики боли и отчаянья. Все что для счастья нужно, лично мне. Казалось бы...
Но увы. Реализовано так себе. Дизбаланс на лицо. ФПС зачастую падает. Даже на минималках. Ввиду этого игра не представляется возможным. Особенно когда толпы вьетконговцев подбираются к твоей позиции. А ты в них не можешь даже навести курсор. Впечатления о игре изза этого резко могут упасть.
Но сюжет таки интригует. Особенно когда на фоне того хауса появляются довольно прелестные личности. :3
Решайте сами, если у вас мощный комп и вы любите вьетнамскую стилистику, то игра для вас. :)
So i played the game for few minutes...and gotta say it reminds me Terrorist takedown 2 and that's the biggest crap i ever played...Story actually sounds on Fps game really interesting even if its not big task...What this game really needs is a good soundtrack bucause there isn't any music at all except main menu...its deffinitely a game of B quality that needs better enviromental effects and more bettter sounds...The animations looks really old on 2009 but if you will get trought everything bad in the game...You will be having fun...Game isn't so bad at all when you are actually not searching something like COD:BO
And dont thrust the system requirements they are twice bigger than official...I bought this on discount for 2,79 cheaper than cigs...what's nice

Plot.
Shellshock 2: Blood Trails is a first-person shooter video game that is set during the Vietnam War. The plot revolves around a special operations team led by Sergeant Caleb "Cal" Walker, who vanished after being sent into the jungles of Cambodia to retrieve a mysterious cargo known as WhiteKnight, which was lost after a U.S. transport plane was shot down by a NVAF jet. Cal lost his men to the earliest victims of Whiteknight, the downed U.S. plane crew. Cal was infected with the virus that he meant to secure.
One month after the event, Cal comes out of the jungle alone, only to be captured and brought to a U.S. base in the Pleiku Highlands. Cal's newly drafted brother, Private Nathaniel "Nate" Walker was brought by Sgt. Jack Griffin to the base in order to extract info regarding WhiteKnight from his deranged brother. Unfortunately, Cal was able to escape after killing some soldiers during a VC attack on Pleiku. The joint VC/NVA attack was orchestrated by Nguyen Van Trang, a VC officer sent to capture Cal.
Nate, with help of Griffin, and GIs that he met along the way, must hunt down Cal, moving from Pleiku to an old temple in Cambodia. Nate is also tasked to stop Nguyen Trang and his comrades from capturing Cal. Nate, through the course of his journey, combats those infected with WhiteKnight, the VC, and NVA.
Development
According to Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley, the title was previously being developed by Core Design for parent company Eidos before Rebellion bought the studio and renamed it Rebellion Derby.
Reception
Shellshock 2: Blood Trails was met with negative reviews. Aggregating review websites GameRankings and Metacritic gave the PC version 41.20% and 40/100, the PlayStation 3 version 37.23% and 35/100 and the Xbox 360 version 28.19% and 30/100.
El planteamiento de Shellshock 2 es interesante: terror ambientado en la Guerra de Vietnam, bastante terrorífica ya de por si. Pero es lo único que se salva del juego. A partir de ahí, todo lo que hay es una sucesión de fracasos: el argumento no progresa más allá y es incapaz de generar ninguna vinculación con el juador. Los controles no responden bien del todo y la jugabilidad es muy limitada. No permite exploración de ninguna clase, siendo todo pasillos y salas a hacer en orden. A penas hay variedad de enemigos y situaciones. El sonido falla, la música no aporta nada. Las animaciones son pobres y bruscas, y los gráficos insuficientes para su tiempo. En general, por tanto, un completo desatino. Un 1.

Многие говорят, что игра фигня.Да графа плохая, сюжет не очень, но все равно поиграть можно, еще игра в некоторых местах страшная, и не на один раз как по мне норм игра советую.
저재미 게임읠 주로 제작하던 리벨리온이 야심차게 제작한 재미없는 게임 쉘 쇼크 2 : 블러드 트레일스입니다.
게임은 재미없던 베트남 전쟁에 참전한 네이트 워커라는 병사가 좀비 비슷한 재미없는 존재가 되어버린 자신의 형의 존재를 알게 되고 이에 재미없어진 형을 구하기 위해 재미없는 베트콩 및 재미없는 좀비들을 해치우다가 재미없는 진실을 알게 되고 어느 분기를 선택하든 재미없는 결말을 맞이하면서 플레이어가 이 글에 달린 사진의 병사와 같은 표정을 짓게 된다는 내용의 게임입니다.
각종 리뷰 웹진에서 혹평을 받은 게임이지만 시놉시스만 저럴 뿐 재미가 없는 것은 아닌 게임입니다.
저도 이 게임을 플레이하던 9시간동안 3초 정도는 재미가 있었으므로
Shellshock 2: Blood Trails is an appealing first person shooter that takes place in Vietnam in the last 1960's. The control scheme is simplified, not using any kind of cover system or jumping, and the gunplay focuses on quick action rather than realism, giving the game an overall arcade feel. The graphics are very well done, with the exception of the animations which are just passible and there really is no game music to speak of. However, despite the lack of these features it looks good and plays well in widescreen and the Steam Overlay is supported. I enjoyed the game enough to recommend it as one of the better shooters of the era. If you love military themed first person shooters or more arcade style shooting action, this game is an automatic buy.

Escribo esto para hacer todo lo contrario a recomendar este juego. NO LO COMPREIS. NO LO JUGUEIS. POR DIOS NI LO ACEPTES COMO REGALO. He tardado 4 horas en completarlo pero han sido insufribles. ESTE JUEGO ES MALO CON GANAS.

It's slow, boring and really doesn't have much to it.
Look at the ugliness. Yet one has a feeling within one that blinds a man while he loves you. You, with that feeling, blind him, and blind yourself. Then, one day, for no reason, he sees you as ugly as you really are and he is not blind anymore and then you see yourself as ugly as he sees you and you lose your man and your feeling... After a while, when you are as ugly as I am, as ugly as women can be, then, as I say after a while the feeling, the idiotic feeling that you are beautiful, grows slowly in one again. It grows like a cabbage. And then, when the feeling is grown, another man sees you and thinks you are beautiful and it is all to do over.
