it started out feeling very beautiful and thoughtful and then gave way to tedium and confusion how to progress the game. the game could do a better job showing what is critical and what is optional. I had cleared all journal areas in my journal but was not able to complete the larger zone. Some of the dialogue writing is really really great in this game but I think pacing and structure are an issue.

[h1]Absolutely LOVE this game after playing it for 5h straight!![/h1] Never being so urgently coming to comment for a game! I just reached the Tieng Valley part (I really likely spelled it wrong) i'm only stopping now because I get sleepy lol.

The game has such an immersive and aesthetic setting, I almost pause every minute to take a picture (with a built-in camera) of the view, since its so breathtakingly gorgeous!!! and it has absolute freedom for exploring, journaling, and photographing. On the top of that, I suggest to take a moment to take close look to the dialogues of the characters and all of those letters too, because the language of it is superrr poetic and beautiful (but its not like really wordy at all,). I have really relieving and satisfying experience by travelling around the places, and I personally like to slow down the pace and to appreciate the details, be a chill tourist in this fascinating world:D.

Overall, its 100% recommended for those who wanna play some Open World third-person perspective storytelling games, its my first time playing this type of game, and its absolutely worth the price! (even better after the discount haha)

Very impressive game!

I'm writing this while still under the impression from my very first playthrough. What a game! Beautiful, stunning landscapes and environment art, fantastic character design and deep, meaningful and sometimes weird narrative bits.

The game tells you a rich and deep story in fragments that you can collect like a detective. While I really tried picking up absolutely everything on my first run, I just found out when finishing the game how much I still missed. I guess I'll need to go for another run!
I really like the unusual gameplay style - no combat, but instead a heavy focus on exploration and recording as much as possible. Also, the biking parts made it feel much more dynamic and made the vast landscape much more accessible.

The narrative is also super unusual and intriguing. What stood out to me the most was how weirdly chill everyone seemed about the world ending, but - without spoiling too much - it did make sense to me in the end.

A really great game that inspired me (an aspiring indie dev) a lot. I really hope you keep making games like this, because it's simply amazing. And I hope for myself that I get to create something half as beautiful in my lifetime.

playtime is dependent on your own perception btw. don't worry about it, i was stressed it'd be too short but it felt just fine in the end, especially for a game costing $25. took me about 8.5 because i was being somewhat thorough. its PEAAAAK. not everyone's playstyle because it can be rather slow, but you should've got that from the store page already, so if you think you'll like it, you will. it is not hard at all to fill your notebook with gorgeous photos, i found myself stopping every few steps to capture beautiful new scenery i noticed that never stopped being breathtaking even at the very end. i could only wish for a sequel or something similar because this is EXACTLY my kind of game that is very very hard for me to find and this scratched an itch for sure. beautiful visuals, fun controls, plenty of biking but doesn't take too long to travel, fun to explore and comb every inch of. mc is a baddie and loved the gay monk #sick. thank you season i love you

Reading a Giniro Natsuo poetry collection makes me think, "How wonderful," and makes me want to walk through that world. This game feels like someone took that exact feeling and shaped it into a form. It is truly a work of art.

There is no premise of multiple playthroughs, nor are there branching paths. Quite simply, this is a monumental work—a landmark achievement in the fifty-year history of video games, having finally stripped away the conventional definition of "play" to reach completion.

The Japanese localization was also magnificent. Every poem, line of dialogue, and monologue felt natural. The voice acting was calm and grounded, with a core of strength, quite different from mainstream Japanese games these days. Even the handwriting-style font was exquisite. I offer my heartfelt gratitude and respect for such a conscientious localization.

* O jogo foi criado por diferentes tipos de pessoas e, creio eu, foi justamente isso que o tornou tão poético;
* É possível terminar a jogatina por volta de quatro horas. Meu tempo de jogo foi superior porque quis explorar bastante, mas mesmo assim, fiquei com impressão que deixei coisas passarem batidas;
* Não é exatamente difícil de platinar mas algumas conquistas podem ser perdidas;
* O maior desconto que vi para esse jogo foi 40%.

This game changed my life-I took so many screenshots to remember it forever. I loved the writing, the sounds, beautiful scenes, journaling, photography and all the characters. reviewing after 100%ing, there is much more even beyond the 100% of this game, the achievements do not track everything you do and i love it for it.
the game is slow paced and gives a liminal feel in some areas and an art gallery vibe in others, the controls can be funky sometimes on keyboard but even with the not recommended keyboard it plays very well.
the story is well done and i like how you are do commit to the path you choose. and you can play only once, or twice. i might go back to see what happens if I choose differently, but either way, it in emotionally impactful and a beautiful game.

全成就六个小时，公路旅行记录游戏。放松舒缓的步调，不会让人感到急迫感，键盘玩的话有一点点的不舒服，文本按了翻译就不能直接退出，得按两下，所以有一定的英语基础玩这游戏会更舒服一点，手柄不知道有没有这点，人物英配发音很清楚，听得很舒服。
剧情比较驳杂，但贯穿全文的应该就只有记忆这一点，主角“我”一直在记录自己所经历的人或物。在森林里的老艺术家唱歌那段还挺好听的。
有两个结局，一个是在老僧侣那里选择用吊坠进行祈祷让吊坠的力量耗尽，最后主角在船上失忆并查看自己所记录的日记本。另一个是不用吊坠进行冒险，主角不会失忆并继续记录。我选的是第二个。
玩完全程我发现记录确实是一件很美妙的事啊，我现在所做的应该也算是记录？

I don't care about the main characters of the protagonist. I just want to go to my favorite places in the game, and I can take many screenshots. The world as we know it is about to end and you, the Chosen One, has to venture outside of your village for the first time. You know how it goes.

And yet, you are not here to save the world, you are only tasked to record how it was for posterity. No sword and armour, just a camera, a recorder, a pencil and a scrapbook.

Season is a point and click in an open world, and yet I never felt lost or overwhelmed. Unburdened by pixel hunting and deceptive puzzles, everything is worthwhile if you deem it so.

Season wants you to be creative, and yet I never felt paralysed by a blank page. It subtly guides you by rewarding certain shots and recording with beautifully written musing on the world, or by hinting at the mystery at the core of the game.

Season is a gentle game, with amazing vistas interspersed with thoughtful reflections on memory and communities. It may feel rushed towards the end but it's so much better for it, unheard melodies do be sweeter.

The world is raging around me and probably all of you too. I'm using all of my energy to stay afloat. Looking forward to my backlog has been a joyful thing to come home to.
I finally booted up this gem of a game yesterday. From the first 5 minutes, I knew this was just what I needed. I love everything about this game.
The dialogue sounds so beautiful. It flows like poetry. The voices speaking are also excellent. I could listen to the protagonist talk about anything. This game is not afraid of stillness. Or soft music. Or waiting and listening. You can disappear for a few hours into this world if you let yourself go.
An emotional game with a gorgeous art style.
I highly recommend this piece of art for anyone looking to take a deep breath.

A strange game; a story suffused with sentimentality about a world overly suffused with sentimentality. It gets me to inhabit a different mindset in a way that reminds me more of literature than of games I've played. Somehow this game does feel like it comes from a different age, a different season. It's based almost entirely on European, USAmerican, and Japanese culture and aesthetics, but with different values and expectations that makes it feel like a forgotten period of history or a future that could be.

In terms of gameplay, it's a little rough around the edges. It's a walking simulator where you make scrapbooks. You have a camera to take pictures with, but trying to take interesting pictures regularly trips up the object detection where some background object is registered as "the thing you're photographing", which sometimes leads to bad pictures getting locked into specific places of the scrapbook. Likewise, there is a completion bar for each scrapbook page, where if it fills there is a slow pan over the page, but sometimes the bar fills when you're midway and it pans over an empty section. Neither are game-breaking in any way, it's just a bit rough.
The bicycle can be a bit clunky to navigate with, but it fits with the deliberate slow pace and sense of sentimental realism.

As others have remarked, it was a bit jarring how the game zooms in almost entirely on a single location. Based on the premise I was expecting a journey, but the game stays with the sentiment of a single major moment. I would not classify this as an exploration game or plot-driven game. It is almost entirely about soaking in the atmosphere of this different world. If that sounds good, then I recommend this game.

A genuinely touching and thoughtfully realized science-fantasy open-world walking/biking sim, with strong writing, simple but well-implemented photography and sound-recording mechanics, compelling world-building, and a real sense of melancholy (but not outright bleakness) about the impending, possibly apocalyptic transition of the world into another "season." Suffers from some technical flaws (there's a lot of what seems to be traversal stutter; a number of cutscenes appear to be prerendered 30fps FMVs for no discernible reason), and the lack of the navigation aids you'd normally expect in a modern open-world game (fast travel, a map that shows your current position, quest markers) sometimes makes finding your way around a bit more tedious than it should be, but overall, this is quite good stuff.

A lovely short game where you ride your bike along your own path. It’s the kind of experience everyone understands in their own way and I really liked it.

The story is touching and well-paced, with no unnecessary filler. The gameplay feels calm and enjoyable.
The world and characters are thoughtfully crafted, and you can feel the care behind the game.

Absolutely beautiful game. The attention to the many details that enhance the immersive player experience is incredible. This game asks hard questions about memory, grief, and progress: about who gets to decide what is remembered and what is left behind. Perfect experience to sit back and reflect.
I really liked trying to fit as many pictures, drawings and quotes in the journal. Discovering the echoes of past of this land and talking to its few remaining people felt very immersive and human, if that makes any sense.

游戏最欢喜的便是手帐系统，少有游戏会将收集系统做出如此趣味，就像赛博旅游一样，走走停停，拍拍照聊聊天，晚上再在书桌前整理手帐。

I thought SEASON would be a freeroam exploratory adventure game focused on interacting with the environment but it's quite railroaded and built around taking pictures and recording sounds to fill progress bars in consecutive areas. It's not terrible but quite boring because of this formula coupled with slow pace.

本作吸引我的点在于游戏中的画面和音乐，让我非常享受整个游戏体验，画面清新唯美，质感优秀惬意，颇具浪漫主义气息；充满温情与诗意，玩家以骑行的方式踏上旅途，在过程中邂逅不同的人和故事，去收集沿途见闻，节奏舒缓，没有紧张刺激的对抗，更多是静下心来感受这趟寄梦之旅。

玩法简单易上手，很容易沉浸其中，非常上头。在游戏的内涵上，探讨高概念的战后时期，却始终只有隐晦暗示，看到时间与个体，记忆与社会的内在关联和深度。强调心灵上的接受和代入还有共鸣。这类的游戏表达，最经常用的手法，是在经历一些历程，然后镜头由远到近或者淡出淡入插入，然后配上一些BGM，就会给心灵上来上一次愉悦的感受。

独立游戏的缺点也相对明显，地图过小，本以为是开端，却已经戛然而止；连带导致骑车不过瘾，车辆很容易在一些边边角角卡死导致人物下车，觉得意犹未尽；相机的取景有局限，导致只能够在1倍和1.5倍之间选择，没有办法取到全景，实属遗憾。

坐在长椅上写生，美丽动人的景色就在眼前，此时真的能感受到清风打在脸上，鼻腔中充斥有关泥土的芳香，耳朵里充斥着虫鸣鸟叫。值得一玩！！

My favourite part was journaling, tbh… sticking photos, recordings and notes together made it feel kinda personal, like I was actually building a time capsule of this dying world lmao.

are very slow, but in a good, comfy way… I’d give it 8/10, minus 2 just because it can get a bit too slow sometimes if you’re tired or distracted.

is a full 10/10 for me… quiet, emotional, and it sneaks up on you with feelings when you least expect it ngl… (ps the part with the mum made me cry it was so cute)

游玩之前已经做好了操作手感很差的心理准备，但偶尔还是会被诡异的视角转换以及乱飞的自行车惊住|||
撇开操作手感之外，故事剧情本身没有给到特别惊艳或者有深度的感受，这对我来说不是缺点，因为我依然会被主角和母亲的对话以及一些并不连贯的随心思考打动。

说说最让我惊喜的两点，评论似乎少有提及
其一是世界观的设定，从标题就能看出游戏内以“季节”为主线展开故事
但让我触动的并不是设定逻辑之严密或者如何庞大交错，而是从各处都能鲜明感受到——这真的是由一群不同文化、不同观点的人聚在一起打磨出来的作品
没有补充，没有伏笔，就这么东一榔头西一棒槌的把故事讲了，比起一个完整剧本其实更像一本寓言集或一次惊奇故事会
非常适合我三分钟热度的好奇心，不需要绞尽脑汁也不需要刨根问底

其二是手账中的素描。
在剧情中加入主角写生要素的游戏并不少，但这是第一个让我仔细观察感受了素描的游戏
每张小物、场景的韵律都很美，线条松动且空间关系如教科书一般分明
加上游戏中的场景模型二分光影也非常漂亮，让我通关之后非常振奋地想要自己也马上进行一场写生

作为长期居家工作的自由画师我已经太久没有在户外随性的记录或者涂画
这款游戏重新点燃了我曾熄灭的火焰
在此摘抄游戏中父亲给女儿的离家指南
希望它也能给更多想要创作、独自旅行或离开某地寻求真理的人力量

Hands down, one of the most overwhelmingly beautiful and thorough game with immaculate storytelling. This game is beautiful and I love it so much. I just took my time exploring and taking photos, decorating my scrapbook and it was so peaceful and calm yet held some intense emotional development.

I will say, I cried at the end because I am a baby. This caught me off guard, I did not expect it to be such a wonderful experience.

To my delight, Season was exactly what I expected it to be. Riding around this doomed valley was a fun and memorable experience. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the writing, even if some of the voice acting was questionable. This strong writing helps the game land the emotional beats it strives for. All around a serene and poignant experience.

"...I think the “loop” of [i]Season[/i] is really “tight” and clearly outlined for the player, it’s almost beside the point. Or rather, at a certain point, I stopped thinking about my activities in [i]Season[/i] as gameplay. This is because the game has an uncanny way of making its loop not feel artificial (or game-y) and more aligned with the emotional and intellectual core. Namely, [i]Season[/i] is a game about [i]process[/i].

It is a game that asks you to consider your journey and the long arch of your actions and activities, AND consider how you internalize your actions and your surroundings to find meaning/understanding. The process in [i]Season[/i] is both a noun and a verb. It is a tangible thing and an unfolding action. You witness several times how the verb can lead to the noun―how, in the act of journaling and recording the Season’s end, you also create an object that documents complicated change. But this process folds in on itself; the change then becomes material that your character and the NPCs you encounter also must confront to reach moments of solace. To witness and/or participate in that feedback is where the game really shines, because [i]Season[/i] never asks you to shape the end results, but rather lets you decide how best you wish to honor change and self-forgiveness.

In this way, [i]Season[/i]‘s design is particularly clever because the moment-to-moment interaction is so understated. but the cumulation of all of those moments―documented in your journal and through your archived materials―transforms into a powerful gesture."

Excellent - it's some kind of open world visual novel.

Writing, art, music, and voice acting are all great - you feel soothed when playing.

I’ll add that the voice acting is so good, that this is one of the few times I’ve actually searched for the cast. Buy this game you won’t regret it.

This game is heart-breakingly beautiful!
The story line, the NPCs, the random bits of knowledge that we get to learn? All perfection!
I especially love that our journal is almost like a puzzle at certain points, wanting us to get all the information we can! Sometimes I feel like I want to put so much more on the page, but don't have the space! (Which is very good, because it makes us think about what information we find important enough to bring along into the future, and what information is better left behind.

"A letter to the future" est un jeu assez complexe dans sa structure, elle est très poétique et très riche en narration. Cependant, il y a beaucoup de questions non résolues et beaucoup de concepts non aboutis, ce qui rend le jeu parfois absolument incompréhensible. De plus, les discours des personnages durant mon aventure sont trop longs et pas assez poussés en même temps, ce qui est très dommage… Par contre, j'ai beaucoup aimé la direction artistique qui est juste magnifique. L'histoire reste assez touchante et le concept d'interagir avec certains éléments comme le vélo et le carnet qui va vous servir pendant toute l'aventure va rendre votre expérience de jeu plus satisfaite. D'ailleurs en parlant d'interagir, sachez que ce jeu n'est pas vraiment un jeu, mais plutôt une histoire ou l'idée ici est juste tout simplement de découvrir tout comme le personnage et non de, vous amuser, mais pour ma part, je le savais déjà, mais je trouvais qu'il y avait beaucoup beaucoup BEAUCOUP trop de chose à lire et ça devenait lourd, on se perdait et ça devenait de plus en plus laçant. Par contre, la fin m'a beaucoup touché, dans le début, on ne comprend pas trop et puis à la fin tout devient plus claire donc ça m'a rassuré et j'ai bien aimé le concept d'éveiller nos sens sur jeu, car elle nous incite à nous concentrer sur les sons partout dans le jeu pour ensuite les enregistrer et de tout observer pour prendre des photos et les mettre aussi dans le carnet, à force vous n'aurais même plus besoin d'y penser que ça deviendra un reflex et je trouve ça très intéressant de vivre ce genre d'expérience qui n'est pas appliqué dans pas mal de jeu. Vivre le jeu est plus savoureux que d'en être le simple spectateur, alors merci ! J'ai remarqué qu'il y avait quelques bugs avec les plans / caméra du jeu, mais sans plus, par contre, évitez la manette si vous voulez une bonne expérience parce que c'est une catastrophe avec. Donc pour conclure, certes le jeu a ses défauts, mais je pense que si je n'aurais pas joué à ce jeu, je serais passé à côté de quelque chose que j'aurais regretté de ne pas avoir testé, je le conseille, testez ça en vaux vraiment la peine, attendait juste qu'il soit seulement en réduction et vu qu'il est très peu sur Steam, vous pouvez le prendre sur instant gaming.

Ps : pour les grands fans de The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, c'est votre jour de chance, car les paysages, l'aventure et même l'histoire reste assez similaire.
