Titolo del 2019 che ci racconta di depressione, solitudine, bullismo e famiglie disfunzionali utilizzando metafore, che non voglio spoilerare, che talvolta sono un pò troppo naif rispetto alla profondità dei temi trattati. L'idea è di spessore ma la sua trasposizione sarebbe dovuta essere più incisiva anche sotto l'aspetto puramente tecnico perché anche il gameplay è molto basic e non ben ottimizzato, la grafica è gradevole ed in linea con lo stile indie, idem il sonoro. In buona sostanza è un racconto interattivo, che segue una story-line predefinita, che vuole essere terapeutico e divertente permettendo a chiunque di immergersi in una piccola ma profonda storia di sofferenza e altruismo, di luci e ombre, di errori e gesti coraggiosi e trarne i giusti insegnamenti. Da prendere ma solo in se si trova in saldo.

An incredibly pretty game with INCREDIBLY terrible writing. The theme of the game along with its visuals and art direction had so much potential to be a great personal story about overcoming depression and self reflection, but the writing is so unbearably atrocious that I paused the game multiple times just to put my head in my hands. The script turn the "tell don't show" approach up to 1000, having the protag comment on every small interaction she has with the world robbing the player of any agency or interpretation. This wouldn't be a dealbreaker if the dialogue itself wasn't so damn "basic". Every word spoken is either flavor text or "I’m so sorry…how could I not see this…..you were in pain…..I promise I’ll never abandon you again……you mean so much to me….." OH MY GOD I GET IT!!! I don't need every single emotion the characters are feeling explained to me, I don't need every action the protag takes repeated back at me, and I really don't need the entire backstory of every single tragic event to be sanded down to such a black and white point of view that it makes half of the characters seem cartoonishly evil. For a game handling an incredibly adult topic, it tries it's hardest to treat the player like a child that hasn't developed the concept of empathy yet.

The extra salt in this decaying wound is that another studio rewrote the entire game and published it as a switch exclusive, a fact I only learned 2.1 hour into playing the game. You will see me on the news.

Sea of Solitude умудряется влюбить в себя невероятно красивым арт-дирекшеном и музыкой через трейлер и скриншоты, но как известно, от любви до ненависти один шаг. Ведь ты начинаешь плеваться от этой игры в первые же несколько минут.

Самый главный грех этой игры - это то насколько она невежественно и в лоб подаёт тебе сюжет! Разработчики явно считают игроков за идиотов, которым нужно разжёвывать каждый чих и пук главной героини. Она не затыкается ни на секунду! Насколько же лучше воспринимался бы сюжет, если бы она просто молчала! Да и в принципе данная игра затрагивает очень важные проблемы, с которыми так или иначе сталкивается каждый человек: депрессия, одиночество, буллинг и т.п. Но подача максимально опошлила всё это и превратило в грустненький фанфик о переживаниях девочки подростка. Я не понимаю ради чего были попытки во все эти метафоры с монстрами и затопленным городом, если нам с первых секунд говорят о том, кто скрывается за личинами этих существ!

Помимо сюжета я также испытывал невероятную фрустрацию на протяжении всей игры от того, как тут устроен "полуоткрытый мир", насколько тут бесящее управление и насколько забагована игра! Разработчики видимо поняли, что их игра слишком быстро проходится и решили раскидать коллекционных предметов по всему миру, пытаясь мотивировать игроков изучать локации, но это большая ловушка, т.к. одна треть локации перекрыта невидимой стеной, у второй трети нет коллизии, а последняя треть станет доступна тебе потом в какой-то рандомный момент сюжета и ты даже об этом не догадаешься! Также эксплорингу не помогает и не самое удобное и неотёсанное управление за главную героиню с самовольной камерой, из-за чего ты то и дело падаешь в какую-то срань и не можешь выбраться от-туда, потому что опять застрял в текстурах!

Раз уж речь зашла о багах, то тут их не счесть! Застревания на пустом месте, проваливание сквозь дома, бесконечное кручение камеры вокруг главной героини и т.п. Не сосчитать количество раз, что мне приходилось перезагружаться, чтобы просто продолжить играть.

И по итогу, геймплей выглядит так: ты смотришь невероятно красиво поставленную кат-сцену с ужасными диалогами, которые ещё более ужасно озвучены, после чего ты начинаешь вглядываться в разные места на локации в поисках коллекционных предметов, собираешь несколько штук весьма спокойно, несколько ты собираешь через какие-то ну очень странные пути, которые будто бы не задумывал разработчик, но ты пытаешься найти оправдание по типу - "Ну не могли же они просто так разместить эту вещь на таком видно месте?" А ВОТ ♥♥♥♥ ОТВЕТ - МОГЛИ! Они постоянно трясут перед лицом игрока коллекционными вещами, которые ты не можешь достать в данной главе и ты об этом не знаешь, ведь ты не в метройдванию зашёл играть, где доступ к определённым локациям открывается не сразу. Ты играешь в достаточно линейную игру из-за чего ты боишься, что потом уже не сможешь собрать эту вещь, по итогу тратя десятки минут на то, чтобы через баги и костыли хоть как-то туда забраться.

Если вы хотите получить от этой игры хотя бы какую-то пародию на удовольствие, то не собирайте коллекционные предметы, а просто двигайтесь по линейному сюжету и наслаждайтесь красотами.

Excellent jeu ! Abominable dans ce qu’il montre, mais magnifique dans ce qu’il raconte.

Visuellement sombre et dérangeant, Sea of Solitude transforme la laideur et les monstres en métaphores puissantes de la solitude et de la souffrance. L’histoire est dure, sincère, parfois pesante… mais au final incroyablement touchante et belle.

Une expérience émotionnelle qui risque de marquer longtemps.

Je recommande ce jeu sans hésitation, je me demande pourquoi j'ai attendu aussi longtemps pour y jouer..!

"sea of solitude" — эмоциональное приключение молодой девушки Кай, в котором ей предстоит встретиться с [strike]ремеслом эмоционального интеллекта [/strike] миром аллегорий, в которой все ее внутренние демоны оказываются вполне реальными существами. игра позиционирует себя, как глубокая история об одиночестве и о том, "каково это - быть человеком". но на деле же...
на деле, вся глубина игры заканчивается на безднах того самого метафорического моря, которое Кай предстоит бороздить. а бороздить она его будет совсем не для того, чтобы встретиться лицом к лицу с тяжелыми и пугающими мыслями, рожденными в мрачном сознании человека в депрессии — отнюдь. целью этого путешествия станет...решение достаточно ординарных семейных и личных драм (все еще важных, само собой). море героини, в противовес названию, совсем не одинокое. по повествованию игры, я даже не побоюсь предположить, что Кай вряд ли когда-либо была по-настоящему одинока. конечно, каждый человек в своей жизни испытывает это состояние, но это ли ожидаешь от игры с таким названием?

в общем-то, ощущение излишней...[i] драматизации [/i] не покидало по началу. ожидания быстро сдуваются примитивностью нарратива и наступает странное послевкусие...«вас надули!»

но, несмотря на все вышеописанное, как только ты начинаешь принимать реальный облик игры (не судите книгу по обложке, как говорится), вещь эта оказывается вполне себе занимательной и даже душевной. некоторые нарративные и дизайнерские решения очень цепляют. да и в целом, мир печальных аллегорий сознания Кай, хоть и представлен очень просто (даже чересчур, на мой вкус), но задачу свою выполняет отлично — действительно проникаешься каждой историей (если вы обладаете хоть какой-то эмпатией) и видишь, какими страшными и трагичными могут выглядеть общечеловеческие проблемы в сознания того, с кем они происходят.
!!если у вас проблемы с развитием эмоционального интеллекта и пониманием людей вокруг, то проходить ее вам стоит в [i]обязательном порядке[/i]!! если уж даже такой просто язык не поможет, то, кажется, вы безнадежны.

чувствуется, что игру делали с душой и рвением поговорить на не самые сложные, но все еще важные темы. если бы не странный передраматизированный брендинг игры, то и критиковать бы ее даже не захотелось.

да, это далеко не шедевр, а все-таки цепляет своей душевностью. простая, местами даже наивная, но все же хорошая инди-игра на пару вечеров. она не поможет вам в понимании глубоких экзистенциальных чувств, но точно заставит подумать о более приземленных моментах жизни, которые близки каждому ~

It's been a while since I played this, but I was going through my Steam library and realized I never wrote a review.

This game is amazing. It was both impactful story-wise, and with its visuals. It's a game you can play to relax without getting bored, and the dark themes make it even better -- I hope to find some time to replay it sometime soon. Definitely recommend! :)

It really is an interesting game with an amazing topic and complexity that unfortunately is dumbed down by overexpository dialogues. Get it on a sale, but there are better options who treat depression and loneliness with better writing and storytelling (for example, Gris). But it has good intention overall and that's something to be grateful for.

The controls were awful and buggy (think sims but you have to have fine motor controls). The dialoge was corny and lame, but it would have been overlooked if the controls were better. The camera controls in relation to the moving controls made the game borderline unplayable and I am glad I bought this game on sale. The only positve was that thw art was nice.

I first played this game when i was young, i remember not being able to finish due to the topics being too hard for me to as a depressed 15 years old.

This years for christmas my bestfriend bought it to me because they saw it was on my wishlist and... What a game. I think the fact that i experienced this game twice made me feel like Kay.

[spoiler] I too gave up like she did, the feeling too painful for me to bear, but in the end even if we gave up we did it. [/spoiler]

This game made me feel so many emotions in the span of 3 hours, i cried so much i sometimes had to pause. If you're looking for an emotional short game about heavy topics this game is perfect.

Firstly I have to clarify that this is mostly story driven game.

When you look at the gameplay it's, simple and fine, but nothing special. Most of the time, you just walk to certain places, swim to others, and then walk again. Then there are the monsters which are fine and interesting but they are exactly the same for the whole time in terms of behavior. If we look at the platforming parts they are fine, however, they are also very easy. I also expected the puzzles to be something more difficult than this, it has the potential for it. Overall it's very simple game with no special gameplay to offer. But don't get me wrong. It's not necessarily a bad thing. All of this means that everyone can play it without any problems. But then there are the graphics.

It's not like the models are and the surroundings are bad, not at all. But all of this time you are in 1 area with the same graphics for the whole game. The developers try to add some variety by changing the moods and weather and that's really nice but there is still the chance of you getting bored over the graphics. But like I said, the game looks amazing, but keep the boredom factor in mind. Till now it seems like it's a pretty mid game, however, the best and most important thing is yet to come.

I think that everybody should play this game because of the brilliant story. I'd say it's best to not know anything about the story so you can figure out everything yourself. But you can trust me when I say it's worth it. And the music and sfx helps it a lot. The music is beautiful and hits at the right moments to create the perfect atmosphere. The sound effects are also very nice, I can't think of a single problem with them.

To summarize it all it's very beautiful and artistic game with extremely simple gameplay so everyone can play it. The main part of this game, the story, is perfectly handled with excellent use of music and sound effects that create an amazing and immersive atmosphere. If you're looking for some hardcore game with unforgiving and harsh environment than look somewhere else. But if you want to just relax and fully immerse into very emotional and enjoyable story than this is the perfect game for you.

Sea of Solitude est un bon jeu dans l'ensemble, avec certes des défauts, mais il est clairement sous noté par la presse jv française (jvc, gamekult), qui ont mis de mauvaises notes et par la presse internationale en général (64/100 metacritic), ce qui est dommage tant le titre respire la passion des développeurs. C'est un jeu qui est là pour raconter une histoire, et pas pour avoir des phases d'action palpitantes, qui, là où elles tentent d'êtres incorporées, échouent dans leur ambition. Mais je ne crois pas que ce soit grave, car toute cette aventure est à la fois l'histoire de la vie de Kay et de ses démons intérieurs, mais aussi une métaphore des problèmes de la vie réelle à travers plusieurs "démons" du quotidien comme le harcèlement ou les disputes conjugales, qui sont des sujets que bien peu de jeux vidéos osent aborder. Alors je ne pense pas que mettre de mauvaises notes à S.o.S en raison de son gameplay pauvre ou de sa linéarité est censé, vu que ce n'est pas le but d'exceller sur ces points.
Si vous avez quelques heures devant vous et que vous vous sentez seul, je ne peux que vous recommander cette épopée fort sympathique qui pousse à se questionner sur moi-même.

P.S : Pour moi les succès étaient bogués : à partir de la moitié du jeu je n'en ait plus reçu aucun.

I appreciate what the game is trying to do, but it fails at doing it well. I didn't really care about the protagonist and the story is presented in a way that made it difficult to like. Gameplay itself wasn't very fun either, it's mostly a walking simulator with some pretty awful "combat" sprinkled in here and there. Great visuals though, 10/10 for that.

A game like Sea of Solitude (SOS) lives and dies by its story. I mean, sure, innovative and diverse gameplay would help tremendously, but as SOS has neither of them, the important thing would be the story.

Problematic is that the story feels like an introduction to the actual topics. Loneliness, which is the main focus, is shown by different viewpoints and is somehow explored through them, but it still feels unsatisfactory. Maybe the problem lies in the fact that they are mostly explored by uncovering memories and one liners in the confrontations.

Following additional points:

+ Art is beautiful!
+ Concepts were cool, as the monsters & some metaphors.
+ Different cases of loneliness!
+/– Message is good, but oversimplifies too much for me.
– Repetitive game mechanics & design.
– Relies heavily on narration.
– Voice acting was mostly mediocre, additionally the dialogue was sometimes awful as well. Therefore, some emotions/ situations weren't that believable and broke for me the immersion.
– I feel like the topics and the writing oversimplified the situations & emotions.
– Collectibles without real purpose. The bottles could have been an OK idea if they would add anything to the story.
– Some controls, as 'focus', were a bit annoying on PC.

Ending on a good note, I really appreciate that they tried to tackle important topics as mental health, but games as, for example, GRIS, do a better job for me, even without narration.

Sea of Solitude is one of those games that gets under your skin in a quiet way. You follow Kay, a teenager drowning in her own emotions, and the whole world around her bends and twists to show what she’s going through. One moment you’re sailing through a bright flooded city, the next you’re running across frozen rooftops or wandering through glowing, unreal landscapes. Everything feels surreal, like a dream that’s trying to tell you something.

The gameplay is simple—easy jumps, light puzzles, and some nice little collectibles like message bottles and seagulls that push you to explore. The monsters are creepy but meaningful, each one tied to Kay’s family issues and the pressure she carries on her shoulders.

It’s short, it’s emotional, and it looks gorgeous. If you like artsy games with heart, this one is definitely worth a couple of hours of your time.

Lots of reviews say the game is to on the nose with what its trying to convey at points in the game. personally i dont see that as an issue. Not every game with a message has to have 10 levels of obscurity to derive what the writer might have meant.

Its simple, sweet, and looks very nice. Not so deep that it will give you an existential crisis but not so shallow that you dont care.

I fear the game fails to portray what it set out to do - loneliness and how one deals with it. The game's intro also lacks good direction, it took a while before it was clear to me what the game wanted from me. Also the mouse sensitivity is super slow and cannot be adjusted.

But even considering the above mentioned, the game left a positive effect on me and left me feeling for the characters. Recommended on at least 50% sale because what the hell, giving 20 euros for 2,5 hours of gameplay is unhinged.

Sea of Solitude es de esos juegos que sientes más que juegas. Desde el primer minuto te mete en una ciudad inundada que parece sacada de un sueño extraño, con esa mezcla de belleza y tristeza que te hace avanzar casi por inercia, como si necesitaras entender qué le está pasando a Kay tanto como ella misma. Cada rincón tiene algo simbólico: las criaturas, la luz, el agua… todo parece hablar de emociones reales sin decirlo explícitamente.

La historia está contada con una sensibilidad que se agradece. No se alarga innecesariamente ni te bombardea con explicaciones; simplemente te deja estar ahí, interpretarlo y conectar con lo que te resuene. Es un juego corto, pero creo que eso le sienta bien porque mantiene ese tono íntimo sin perder fuerza. Visualmente es precioso, con momentos que te dejan mirando la pantalla un poco más de la cuenta, y la música acompaña muy bien sin hacerse protagonista.

Eso sí, la jugabilidad es sencilla. Hay exploración, algún puzzle y plataformeo, pero nada demasiado profundo. A veces incluso se siente un poco torpe, aunque nunca lo suficiente como para sacarte de la experiencia. Y al final creo que eso es lo importante: es un juego más emocional que técnico.

The voice acting is kinda lame, and the gameplay is just meh. However, the story is kinda good, even if it feels a bit pretentious. It made me reflect a lot on myself and my relationships. The main character seems like the bad guy in the tho, but I still cried at one poin but thats because im a girl. The feeling of loneliness was very relatable

The game has great visuals and amazing character design that I fell in love with. The gameplay is simple and gives you enough downtime to think about everything that is happening or will happen. Some segments got me on the edge of my seat for the first time in a long while. In terms of the story, the symbolism and parallels are incredible. Very down-to-earth and "relatable".

The controls are a bit janky for mouse/keyboard and are definitely intended for a controller, and the voice acting takes a little getting used to, but eventually becomes soothing and iconic.

Comme souvent dans ce genre de jeux, c'est court mais émouvant, intense, spécial.
On y affronte les démons de l'héroïne, et d'autres encore... Le jeu est une allégorie dont le sens ne sera pas entièrement expliqué, et il nous appartiendra d'en tirer les ultimes conclusions.
Paysages fantasmagoriques et pleins de poésie, ambiance sonore dans le ton.

Pour ceux qui connaissent ou qui seraient intéressés par des jeux similaires, ce jeu me fait penser à "Papo & Yo" (Minority Media, 2012) pour la démarche artistique, et "Gris" (Nomada Studio, 2018) pour les thèmes.

"Sea of Solitude" has a beautiful visual design and an intriguing core idea, but that's where any positive thing about it stops.
The problems of this game start even before you see the start screen. You are forced to use EA's useless launcher, which only causes trouble and there is no benefit to it.
You have to be online in order to launch this small, indie game that has no online features. If you disable data sharing, you will get punished like me. When I unchecked the sharing data option in the settings, the game also stopped tracking the achievements.
New game option, instead of actually starting a new save file for the user, uses the chapter select mechanism and puts you at the start of the prologue.
Saving is also another weak point of "Sea of Solitude". There is essentially no saving mid-sections. You will get checkpoints for your possible deaths, but if you get out of the game, you will need to start from the beginning of each section.
Although the visual art seems good to look at, it is disappointing when animation and movements are added to it.
Even the audio aspect of "Sea of Solitude" is underwhelming. Music and soundtracks are there just to be there. Nothing really memorable. But it's the voice acting that disappoints you the most. The developers were not native English speakers, but they themselves dubbed the game in English. The result is that the characters are mostly deprived of emotions and correct pronunciation in their dialogues, which takes the player out of the immersion. The somewhat weak and unnatural dialogues are also adding to the disappointment. And I'm saying that as someone who is also not a native English speaker and yet can see (hear, to be precise) this as an obvious issue.
The gameplay is more similar to a walking simulator than a puzzle/platformer title. There are some challenging parts in the gameplay of "Sea of Solitude", but still majority of the game you are just navigating to a destination; either by walking, swimming or riding your boat.
For a story-driven and emotional game. "Sea of Solitude" tries too little to make something out of the characters. They are just husks of characters. Instead of telling an actual story, the protagonist of "Sea of Solitude" remembers some forgotten memory about these characters and, with a few dialogues alongside the supposedly puzzles/platformer sections, tries to move the story forward just to repeat this cycle until almost the end of the game.
"Sea of Solitude" could have been a way better title if it were not forced to work with EA's launcher, had more quality control on its animation and audio, and tried to do something more with the story and characters.

Its A Spectacular jaunt where you get to kick some Negative Monsters butts. its gameplay is pretty easy, if it doesnt gltch on your end. The basketball area was kinda difficult to get the hang of but I finally figured out what needed to be done. I beat this game in only more than A Couple hours. i think 11 or 13hours max. I seen another player took more time than myself. n.n I beat his time in gaming. lol I must of really digged this game a bit. n.n Its worth playing.

2. 无中文，但高中甚至初中词汇量，默认有字幕停留时间还很长。
3. 棒读配音。文本最多的主角Kay最明显，看最后制作人表是编剧还是美术客串的，合理了。游戏内所有Haha听起来都像“由Tommy Wiseau自导自演的传奇电影The Room”的尬笑。
4. 清新画面。适合玩完一个很恶心或者特别乏味的游戏之后玩。
5. 全成就不好搞，建议放弃，中国大陆的视频网站找不到攻略，也许YouTube有。
6. 追逐战有点恶心了。主角有挨打前摇，被打之前会罚站......

Uma grata surpresa! Não conhecia o game, me deparei com ele navegando no catálogo da EA Play e, por algum motivo, me chamou atenção e resolvi jogar...

É um jogo sombrio. Não falo da estética (apesar de também), mas sim da temática, das emoções, da história. Solidão, depressão, bullying, culpa, tristeza, suicídio, divórcio: é disso que o jogo trata, por isso não dá pra recomendar para aqueles que têm nisso maior sensibilidade.

A história te faz mergulhar em tais temas pesados e sombrios, e os trata de forma madura e adulta. Aqui, nem tudo são flores, nem tudo termina em pizza, nem tudo possui um final feliz. A vida é feita de bons e maus momentos; tragédias são inevitáveis. Como lidar com a culpa? Como abandonar o egoísmo? Como se tornar alguém melhor?

Ao fim, é aquele jogo que deixa sua tela, mas permanece na sua mente. Te faz refletir. Te faz chorar.

Em questão de jogabilidade e gameplay, por outro lado, o jogo fica devendo. O foco e destaque são puramente da história e diálogos.

Recomendo muito, principalmente para quem já tem a assinatura da EA Play.

Сильно углубиться в игру увы не смогла - управление отстойное! И мышкой и контролером играла и инвертировала - мешает и всё. В общем управление камерой выбесило жутко, удалила через 40 минут.
Сюжет за эти 40 минут выглядит как борьба с депрессией и возможно взрослением и принятием собственных ошибок...а что дальше уже история. Кстати английский не сложный - можно тренировать аудирование

Этот сюрреалистичный мир населён чудовищами: очень большими, очень страшными, но крайне грустными и одинокими. Все они — призраки прошлого главной героини. Чёрная птица, огнедышащий хамелеон, каракатица, белый волк. Глядя на них, невольно вспоминаешь The Last Guardian и, само собой, Shadow of the Colossus. Только здесь гигантов нужно не убить, а… понять.

У каждого великана своя история, своя тайна, своя беда, которая превратила его в чудовище. Младшего брата Кэй травили в школе. Отец выгорел изнутри на работе. Мать изо всех сил старалась удержать разваливающуюся на части семью. Бойфренд утонул в собственной депрессии… В принципе, это всё, что можно о них сказать: богатых характеров персонажам не досталось. Кэй со всеми её внутренними демонами кажется куда человечнее прочих. Жаль, рассказ о её эмоциональном взрослении напрочь испорчен морализаторством.

La salud mental es una parte fundamental de lo que somos como seres humanos, y me gustó mucho cómo Sea of Solitude aborda este tema y lo que intenta transmitir. El conflicto interno, la inestabilidad emocional y el peso que esto conlleva son temas explorados con una buena banda sonora. Sin embargo esta experiencia se ve entorpecida por otros aspectos que no brillan tanto como el concepto y el OST. El estilo artístico, aunque acertado, se siente poco original, la jugabilidad es super básica, y la narrativa carece de profundidad.
A pesar de las intenciones de Sea Of Solitude, creo que no logra destacar como experiencia completamente, quedándose a medio camino, una idea muy buena pero no muy bien ejecutada.

This game is very short, took me about 3.5 hours to complete, but is a masterpiece. I've not played many games that had an impact, but this is one. For me; the game shows how family and relationships can often leave you to deal with everyone else's burden, neglecting our own needs and weighing ourselves down even more. Often giving the best part of ourselves that burden to carry just so we can hold on just a little bit longer. Carrying them until those burdens get so big that they're too heavy to carry. Then you find yourself alone, drowning in darkness trying to find your way out again.

La obra intenta sumergirte en un viaje emotivo de conflicto interno a veces con éxito, otras veces no tanto. Tiene tintes a obras estilo Gris, Child of Light o Valiant Heart en cuanto a lo que intenta trasmitirte, ya que es un viaje personal a las emociones de los integrantes de una familia desbordada que esta cerca de tocar fondo y llegar a su fin.
Para empezar y dejar claro: Si tu vida es una miseria o tu familia es disfuncional a full o tu pareja una súper toxica , te vas a sentir en sintonía con este juego, y la verdad no te recomiendo jugarlo… si pensás jugar a algo para pasar un buen rato y salir de la vida de mierda que llevas renegando todo el día definitivamente este no es tu juego. Dejando eso claro, el tópico no es malo, de hecho es muy interesante, pero el problema radica en que la mayoría de apartados del juego son bastante flojos. Mecánicamente es sumamente básico y sin mucho desafío, el apartado sonoro no destaca en absoluto y se puede decir lo mismo de su arte que si bien es imaginativo en algunos segmentos la verdad tampoco es nada de otro mundo. Pero su mayor falla es que es un juego con mucha narrativa y las actuaciones de voz son lo mas flojo del titulo…. Tal es así que su mayor premisa se convierte en su mayor estigma debido a lo malo de sus voces.
Hubo momentos donde empaticé con la trama y sentí ese nudo en la garganta… si logras conectar con el sentirás el dolor del vacío y el aislamiento de sus personajes. El no poder resolver un conflicto interno que te come por dentro. Y me gusto la analogía de la mochila…. Esa que cargas de tu familia quieras o no cuando intentas ayudar y evitar que todo se desmorone; la carga que te acompaña luego en tu vida y se convierte luego en TU problema que debes desenmarañar para no arruinar tu vida y la de los que te rodean. Eso si esta bueno, pero todo lo demás que rodea al titulo simplemente es malo o no termina de funcionar… por lo que no recomiendo el Titulo.

A solid game. Dealing with depression and loneliness is difficult for anyone. Even more so when you live in an ocean of sadness. The game itself is not very long nor very difficult. It is completely story driven and well worth playing.
Achievements can easily be done after you complete the game as you get a chapter select, but they aren't difficult to do if you enjoy searching around. Some of the collectibles are a little difficult to find, but the added commentary was cool.

A wonderful short and suite exploration of some pretty complex emotions. Played the whole thing in a single run, and it was great!

Kay is a very likable and relatable character in a lot of ways, and I love her character design as well!
The overall narrative while not ground breaking is strong. I think it will hit different for different types of people, and how you relate to feelings of isolation.

The mechanics are not hard to grasp and usually each doesn't outstay its welcome, even in such a short package. The same can be said for the environments, which are all stunning and stylish, and at times extremely harrowing.

Well worth a play, a shining example of what happens when you give a small team resources and creative freedom.
