I've played through most of the content (Gotten all stars on all levels, and plenty of collectibles), and it's a pretty good game.
The story is rather short, just a few hours depending on how you play, but you can most certainly eek out some more by going back to do the extra challenges on each mission.
The story is quite silly, and the FMV scenes were great, with fantastic acting ;)
Georgio beats Ronaldo any day of the week, that's for sure.

Fantastic game. While the story is short, the game has content beyond the story in terms of finding collectibles.
But, you don't play this game for the story... You play it for the characters and for the spinning-limo gameplay gimmick. The controls feel extremely smooth within this satisfying gameplay loop, navigating a perpetually drifting limo and trying not to hit anything.
I don't think I've laughed more because of a game; the game wears its absurdity on its sleeve and it is all the better for it!
A short and sweet comedy puzzle experience. The spinning takes some time to get used to but it's super satisfying to master, and the cutscenes and characters make the entire game that much more enjoyable.

TLDR: An arcade style limousine platforming, pedestrian slaughtering, queer, acid trip, with 70's FMV.
The protagonist is Georgio, an endearing limousine driver who has extreme difficulty driving straight, only drives by constantly spinning, and does so while looking good wearing a bow tie and rocking lovely red hair. Georgio never says anything, but that doesn't stop Georgio from going on a variety of ridiculous adventures as they pick up an assortment of passengers, all accompanied by brief FMV clips. Georgio also likes drugs and hallucinates a talking skeleton when they have psilocybin or drop some acid. It's a fun premise!
I have mixed feelings about the gameplay itself. Driving while spinning takes some adjusting to but can be figured out quick. When it clicks just right it's a really cool novel mechanic. That doesn't mean it's easy once you understand it. Checkpoints are indeed very generous, which is good because your limousine will blow up many times in the course of the game.
What I didn't enjoy so much about the spinning driving is that there's no breaks. The next story mission is usually nearby, but if for some reason you want to traverse the map, you're essentially travelling through multiple mission layouts with road and level hazards that are constantly present. It can feel pretty tedious if you do explore the map, go to a mission/challenge that's farther away, and need to get back to an area. To be clear, driving a spinning vehicle through hazards means a lot of stopping and going, which isn't great for backtracking.
The other issue I had with gameplay is that some of the hazard designs feel better than others. Some of them you can navigate just right and it feels smooth and gives a sense of accomplishment. Most feel a little off like you have to wait for your limousine to spin just right when it's spinning slower than other fast moving objects, or you need a certain powerup when you can only equip one at a time. A lot of the missions I ended up brute forcing my way through, checkpoint by checkpoint--hoping I wouldn't blow up before reaching the next one.
You always have a speed up and jump ability active. Other equippable powerups are helpful, but it would be nice if you could have more than one equipped.
It's a short adventure. I'm glad I took it. But it could have been more fun with some more flexibly designed hazard layouts and powerup offerings. Regardless, it feels like a rare and unique game offering that's worth checking out.
What a wonderful game. Lovely fmv sequences and a fun gameplay gimick that doesn't overstay its welcome by being a relatively short experience (finished in 2.5 hours or so) and with enough variety of challenges and collectables to keep you engaged throughout. Highly recommend giving this game a try!

Some devs want their game to stand out in their field, y'know do something never been done before. Hard to do in the land of Steam but by Jove they did it! Erk, careful what you wish for,,,,, :)
Its basically a 2.5D platform puzzler when you drive around in a limousine fulfilling ever harder tasks and meeting people as you go, with excellently hammy real film cut-scenes progressing the story. Apart from the main storyline there are collectables, side missions and mini-game challenges, all of which give a completion rating you can compare within the game against your Steam friends. So far, so normal (and good.)
There's a smart, purposefully contrived B-movie style to the story and narrative which had me laugh a few times. The game feels very well thought-out and consolidated - the graphics and sound fit just right, progression is nicely balanced with perks and upgrades occurring throughout, it's very playable and more-ish. The game will take around 6 hours to complete the main story and probably at least triple that to 100% so there's plenty of content for your low price.
So what IS that USP, that little unique factor, that magical je ne sais quoi the devs deployed, you ask? Well, erm...you see.... the limousine in question is constantly rotating. Yes swapping ends in a big circle as it moves in the direction you're aiming for. And physics cried.
This is incredibly hard to get used to at first and sems to make no sense at all. In fact you should really have a look at a video for this game before buying, I'm willing to bet the whole proposition would bake some people's noodle just too far to even continue playing. BUT if you do, after a short while you do get it, and then the magic happens. You see how the open world has been so meticulously designed to make every curve and intersection a puzzle to solve as you gyrate wildly, and the perks and power ups you learn add extra layers making collectables more achievable (weirdly this element reminds me of We ❤️Katamari games.
In the end I loved it but it was exhausting and as I said probably not for everyone. And one last warning, this is not a game to be played for achievement hunting, some of them will demand extreme commitment, so consider yourselves warned!

Mas tenho certeza que garantirá horas de diversão e desafios, e você nunca jogará nada tão parecido! Até mesmo quem não curte muito carros ou jogos de carros assim como eu, gostará desse jogo. É uma proposta muito única e interessante.
Sobre a história, é bem fraca. Ainda mais por que tem relação com a cultura woke ou lacração dependendo do seu ponto de vista. Mas dá facilmente para focar apenas na gameplay e se divertir. Recomendo demais o jogo justamente por sua gameplay que é o que realmente cativa.
Ya estoy muy viejo como para dedicarme a platinar este juego, pero si tuviera una década menos definitivamente lo haría, me hizo sentir como un niño en esas páginas de juegos tan clásicas. Solo conduces una limosina que no para de girar mientras te enteras de las vivencias de Georgio Manos, nada más, tampoco es como necesite algo extra, la historia es adorablemente tonta y me dejó con ganas de más. Si está en oferta cómpralo y juégalo, solo dura 2 horas, también se lo puedes poner a un niño, es bastante entretenido.
El único problema es que solo está en inglés así que ojo ahí, pero con que tengas un conocimiento básico y los subtítulos es más que suficiente.

This is by far the best rotating taxi game I have ever played.
An incredibly funny game that I still think about from time to time ever though its been years since I first played it. The gameplay is smooth and again, I can't say enough about the game's humor.
If you want cheese, it's got it.
If you want puzzle platforming, it's got it.
If you want FMVs, it's got it.
But most of all, it's got heart. And love. And action. And much more.

Very silly and funny, it's a great game
Charming, disarming, and alarming. Also extremely forgiving, due mostly to the game's very generous checkpoints, so if you're looking for a stiff challenge, I'd say look elsewhere. This game is more about surrendering yourself to its goofy gameplay and semi-awkward somehow-brilliant cutscenes, which were probably the best part of the whole experience.
this game would have been a much bigger success if not for the major flaw of it.... difficulty. The game devolves into a stressful repeat of difficult puzzles where one mistake usually results in you banging into things multiple times and blowing up. if they had more 'checkpoints' that wouldn't be so bad...
But the REASON this is bad, is because the difficulty increases too fast for most people that they do not get invested in the fun of the game. There really needs to be more of a casual build up to the challenges. Have one maneuver that's hard, in a puzzle of simplicity. Build up the difficulty slower and most gamers will be okay.
Could I do it? Yeah, but it wasn't 'fun' to and there's no shortage of games in a library that deserve a chance.
Was it a fun experience? Yeah, with my friends watching and us laughing about it all. Was worth the 10 bucks (or however much we spent at the time)
I believe a controller is your best bet on this one by the way. Great for a party game where everyone just watches one person play but laugh at the silly antics of the game itself. It is honestly an excellent example of an almost GREAT game, held back by a very simple and basic flaw in game design.
Reminds me of a game Drunken Robot Pornography, another almost amazing game save for one minor flaw. Difficulty... only because they have a timer. You have to go into the battles already knowing what to do or the timer will run out. It isn't fun to just play and jump around fighting giant robots with your jet pack, but 'stressful' because of the timer. Had they removed the timer and just made it a brawl, the game would probably have caught on.
Same here, the lack of fun factor early on results in people not investing time in what is otherwise a really good game. Fun Factor is important over the Stress Factor. (which matters too)
this game is so fun justv casually fun crazy missions. just cant take it too seriously or youll be pissed. otherwise this game is extremely fun, friendly, funny, and entertaining. and its actually a pretty damn big game fpr what it is. i was expecting maybe a quarter of the effort and story.

Back when people did passionate and unique games... The deluxe edition comes with some behind the scenes video and a making of/screenplay book, you should definitely check that out.
The "game" part is solid and fun. Even without the missions. You collect stuff while figuring out the right way to there as you're constantly spinning. Or try out challenges and see your friends on the leaderboard. You can brute force most of the game, especially after learning to jump. However if you're trying to get good scores the game becomes a pretty challenging fast paced puzzle game. If you're into collecting or challenges the game has a huge playtime.
The "FMV" parts are also nice and you can see a friendly group having fun while shooting really low budget scenes. I was smiling a lot during the cutscenes.

God this game is incredible. I love the goofy as heck cutscense, the main character is so awesome, she portrays so much fun and hilarity without saying a word, and the cast of goofy supporting characters are all a joy. The gameplay of driving a... Spinning taxi... Is both hilarious and absolutely unique, and makes for such a fun game. My only complaint is I wish it was longer, there was so much fun packed in this small experience. But maybe it's better as a short game, as best to not allow the charm and humor overstay its welcome (it never did).

Roundabout is simple, yet elegant & challenging game that embraces it's cheesy story & style. In Roundabout, you play as Georgio Manos, the world's first revolving limo chauffeur set in the 1970's. The limousine you control will be constantly rotating as you transverse the world of Roundabout. You meet up with various riders as you progress through the story, which includes Mickey the Mechanic, Elizabeth & Jeffrey the Skeleton.
While Roundabout isn't the first "rotating stick" game, it's the 70's B-movie vibes (as all the cut scenes are done in-limo) gives this open world game a lot of charm. I will admit that the game does feature a fair amount of cheap deaths as there's no i-frames when you collide into objects (excluding those "squishy" people everywhere & destructible elements), but death is only a mild inconvenience as the game pulls you back to the last checkpoint in a mission (typically just a little bit away from where you died)... UNLESS you opt in for the Permadeath setting to throw potential caution to the wind. Save system is very generous (saves almost anywhere you wish to stop... or at the nearest mechanics shop to you) & there's a LOT of optional content in the game. If you just stick to the storyline, you'll only hit about 30% game completion as there's challenges & hidden items (money & horns) to find throughout the game.
I definitive recommend embracing the cheesiness of the game as you give it a spin or two (or 360), you can way worse on Steam than this.

Roundabout is a delightfully silly, yet heartwarming Kuru Kuru Kururin game. Not too challenging or frustrating, and a real reminder of a classic game I loved in my teens.
While the main-line plot is rather short. It was an enjoyable game. I just wish the main-plot was longer. Sure, there are lots of side missions. But after I watched the credits, I just feel like I don't want to go back in again. But, that is just me.

Cons: only 3 save slots available, no mouse support, no graphical options, no key bindings menu, you can’t scroll through multiple maps, I experienced an audio glitch
Overall, a basic game with a ton of charm & fun, Crazy Taxi vibes, story campaign is about 3 hours long.
Roundabout has my recommendation.

An 'Irritating stick-like'. Funny and immensely enjoyable on so many levels. One massive flaw is that environments pretty often obscure or completely block your view. Otherwise is thoroughly delightful and shockingly intuitive to get a feel of spinning.

"Zany" is a hack, overused term from times gone by, but it truly is the best way to describe Roundabout. It's frustrating, tricky, funny, fun, endearing, and insane. The FMV, the faux-film grain, and the cartoonish setting/presentation all make for a brief but fun game that is just SO 2013-14. Fun times.

Roundabout is a completely realistic limousine driving simulator. And not only that, it also features an enthralling plot that incorporates some of the most compelling acting I've ever witnessed. Indeed, the sheer theatrical talent on display makes Roundabout Oscar-caliber stuff! Unfortunately, it seems obvious that the leaderboards have been hacked by cheaters.
Glad i gave this game a spin. I will say the controls were a little hard to get used to but i eventually came around. The characters are really fun and I like how they came back full circle with some of the relationship story line. You never feel like you are going in circles with the repetitive taxi missions. The climatic twist sure through me for a loop, and the Jeffery mission left me spinning. 10/10 would give it another spin.

This game was SO MUCH FUN!! The characters and comedy above all. As for the gameplay: it's kinda weird at first but then, surprisingly, it gets natural. The tracks and challenges are entertaining and very well thought. I bought the game on sale but will buy the extra content to support the devs!

I was playing Kuru Kuru Kururin on Nintendo Switch Online and then remembered this game from a NerdCubed video. This game is witty and I love the theme.

This is such a fun little game. If you enjoy cheesy cutscenes with deliberately bad acting, a game that does their best to be as bonkers as possible, and a ridiculous story, this is the game for you. The mechanics of the game are simple; you're a limousine driver that spins around. No seriously, you spin around 360 degrees constantly. You need to maneuver your way through a ton of short (3-8 minutes long) story-based missions, while running over passengers, traffic cones and avoiding cars. It can be frustrating at times, but after a while you can get really into it.
I strongly recommend playing with a controller. During my first playthrough several years ago (probably 2015?), I stopped after 2 hours, and I think I would've played the last hour of the story if I had a controller because it was so much easier to navigate through everything. The cutscenes is what makes this game so enjoyable. The acting is bad, and it's supposed to be. The costumes are cheap, because they're supposed to be. Georgio doesn't talk, because she's Georgio and she shouldn't talk. The entire game gives off a sleazy '70s vibe and it feels very natural and humorous.
The story is pretty insane as well. I don't wanna go into it, because I don't want to spoil it for y'all, but there are some twists and turns (ha!) and some pretty weird sh-t happening. And that's what makes this game great!
And let's not forget about the customizability. You have hats, different colors and different horns for your limousine. On top of that, you have several different upgrades for your limousine that you're able to switch freely. Wanna slow down time to squeeze through a tight gap more accurately? Go for it. Wanna double-jump? Be my guest. Rotate (ha) freely between spinning clockwise and counter-clockwise? Why not! And there's plenty of customizability and upgrades to unlock post-story as well. I finished the story-mode and I've only finished the game 26% - there's still a ton to discover, and plenty of challenges to try out if I feel daring enough.
An absolutely excellent game that is truly underrated.

Cringe But I Loved it
I saw the Game Grumps play the beginning of this game and I knew I had to try it. This was money well spent. It has quickly become one of my absolute favorite games. Between jamming to the funky beats, hilarious dialogue, and ridiculous situations this game puts you in, I end up with smile on my face the second the opening screen pops on and that same smile sticks around even hours after I stop playing. No Goblin did an amazing job on this game. I'll be replaying this for years to come.
Found out about this game after Game Grumps played it on YT. What a gem of a game I've never seen this pop up when browsing through steam over the years (Came out in 2014!?). It's fun, has a lot of heart put into it and there's a lot of little extras with the Deluxe Edition (Random videos of gameplay or the actors doing fun things).
Gameplay wise it's kind of puzzle-esque because you're always spinning in a limo you need to think about how to fit through places.
There are some issues/annoyances with this game though. Personally at first I powered through most of the game but the more I progressed the more I found myself running out of patience with the game.
- You do die quite easily and that's mainly because you can get stuck between obstacles and basically chain hits until your vehicle explodes (A little funny at times with the noises).
- When you respawn some locations are prone to adding a hit to your vehicle right off the bat. - The hit detection with sloped terrain causing you to take hits which can absolutely ruin a run you're doing (eg. You can get onto carousel tops but the shape of them can cause to you get hit...).
- Some times the respawn points are super far (Even though you're closer to one - These aren't always the wrench locations) so this leads to more backtracking than you need.
- There is an "item finder" which may be considered a spoiler but it seems to not work properly. It also gives off "false positives" which pings in areas just once and you cannot replicate it again so you're left wondering if there truly is an item nearby which completely makes you lose faith in using it at all...
Roundabout has fun/silly story with fairly good FMV quality and funny comedy at times. But the limousine is very fragile/explode too easily and lack of fast travel takes away most of the fun. If you can overlook major gameplay problem, you'll enjoy this game though.

Being I got this on sale for something like, $3 down from the full price, I gotta say this game is TONS of fun! If you're like me and take a while to play even smaller games and you love casual style games with stupid kind of humour, you'll love this! It's not the longest game ever, but I'd say it's totally worth $9.99USD/10.99CAD. I've very much enjoyed this as a quick pass-time when I have 30 minutes to kill. If you're a hardcore style gamer this might not be for you tho.

Eu ganhei esse jogo de presente e eu fui proibida de pesquisar sobre (inclusive na Steam) pra ter a experiência de jogar às cegas. A gameplay é caótica, mas pra quem, como eu, cresceu jogando Crazy Taxi, o jeito maluco que funciona Roundabout dá pra se acostumar e é bem divertida.
E, por incrível que pareça, os controles são bem fáceis, é só você ter que aprender a lidar com uma limousine em constante rotação e saber bem o que é esquerda e direita/horário e anti-horário (que não é o meu caso).
Gostei muito das cutscenes e a "história" do jogo. Foi feito pra se parecer como um filme B dos anos 70 e a produção acertou em cheio, tanto no humor, quanto na caracterização e roteiro.
Pela entrega geral, eu achei 5 reais MUITO barato.
E sim, eu fiquei cantando mentalmente Roundabout do Yes.
Surprisingly charming game, full of quirk and challenge.
Not without its flaws though.
Pros:
- Fun theme of 70s art and quality, in many aspects.
- Decent open world map, with lots of variety and collectibles.
- Unique gameplay design that can be challenging to learn, let alone master, but can feel very rewarding when you beat the challenges.
- Plenty of customization, from horns, paints, hats, and powers.
- Fun story of awkward cutscenes and acting, that while doesn't always hit, is a respectable attempt at FMV silliness.
Cons:
- VERY awkward feeling controls at times. Many times, you will find yourself in a situation where it's too late to fix your mistake, and will suffer multiple hits straight to death in seconds.
- Poorly designed respawns. In open world, you often respawn far away from where you died. In missions, you often respawn very close to where you died, instead of at checkpoints. This should be the opposite.
- Pricing of things, from customization to property, is very uneven. Some things are more expensive than others to unlock, and it's unclear why sometimes.
- No idea why the Passengers only have a black background for their windows. Maybe it's to add to the intentionally cheap look, but it just hurts the scene. It should be greenscreened, like what our driver has. Maybe it was gonna, but something happened with the reflections or something.
This game is the definition of a hidden gem. truly amazing, the amount of content and replayability this game contains, making for an extremely fun and unique game. The main missions are a little repetitive, I will say, but you get rewarded with some of the funniest cutscenes in video game history.

Without a doubt one of my all-time favorite games. From start to finish it oozes charm and the gameplay is a unique spin on a traditional top-down driving.

Ich weiß nicht, was es mit diesen Spielen auf sich hat, die echte Schauspieler für ihre Zwischenszenen nutzen, aber trotz des trashigen Settings will man wie bei einer Sitcom immer weiterschauen.
Roundabout hat zurecht so hohe Wertungen. Eine riesige Limousine, die sich nur drehend bewegt? Kleine Hindernisse wie "Menschen" einfach ummäht, aber bei Größeren wie Häusern oder Bäumen Schaden nimmt und explodiert? WTF! Es ist einfach nur super-lustig. Ich bin in den 3 Stunden sicher hunderte Male "gestorben" und musste jedes Mal dabei lachen, das Spiel ist so gaga, dass man gar nicht auf Leveldesign oder Schwierigkeitsgrad sauer sein kann.
Interessiert hat mich dabei nur die "Story", die eigentlich gar nicht existiert, einfach wegen den Schauspielern. Deswegen auch "nur" 3 Stunden, bis es leider wieder vorbei war. Wer Lust auf das Gamedesign hat, kann sicher noch viel länger die Welt erkunden und versuchen alles dort zu finden.
Fazit: Roundabout ist Trash, aber die Sorte von Trash, die wir zurecht als Kunst bezeichnen. Klare Empfehlung!
For each of these reviews I’ll be grading the game on a scale to 100. Some parts are worth more points than others, that is just personal preference to me as it’s just what I prioritize more when it comes to games. I’m definitely a “Gameplay > Graphics” guy, so that’ll show in these articles. Let’s hop in.
Spoiler-Free Synopsis: In the game Roundabout, you play as Georgio Manos, a truly silent protagonist who communicates purely through facial expression. She also runs the world’s first rotating limousine service. You spend the game driving customers around town which includes, game proclaimed, “‘70s B-Movie Full Motion Video” cutscenes. Work your way through three different areas of the city of Roundabout and establish yourself as the best rotating limousine service in the world!
Graphics: 9/10. The graphics look great. The world is very colorful, the cutscenes (as mentioned earlier) as FMV cutscenes that take place entirely in your limousine, with the rare cutscene that involves B-movie flair of “person talks in front of green screen”.
Controls: 9/10. The controls are actually very fair. The car drives very smoothly, the power ups that you unlock as you play all activate as they should, the ability to change direction is smooth. Anytime that I failed something, I never felt cheated by the game, it just felt that I made a mistake myself. There’s really only one thing I didn’t like and it came in one of the final missions of the game so I will keep it off here for the sake of spoiler.
Gameplay: 25/30. Gameplay is streamlined, but that’s ok in this case. You drive to a mission point, pick up someone, drive them somewhere, maybe do a side task or two, and then drop them off. Your next mission is then usually right next to you after that. There are lots of things that block your path, whether it be cars backing up and going forward in the middle of the street, cars going around in… roundabouts… and even rock sculptures that CONVENIENTLY are just close enough to each other that you just barely can’t fit between them at every angle and you have to slide through while spinning. You will eventually unlock the ability to jump, which opens up a lot of potential shortcuts or secrets that you can collect, but then you also realize that this sculpture you’re trying to get past is just low enough that if you’re jumping, you’ll hit it. Your car blows up after it hits a few things and you’ll get sent back to either the last checkpoint if you’re on a mission (which are pretty generous) or the closest repair shop if you’re not on a mission.
Story/Characters: 30/30. I LOVE the story of Roundabout, and not because it’s a story worthy of an Oscar or some sort of award, but because it doesn’t take itself seriously at all. Some characters are just common stereotypes like Disco Sylvain, or a Canadian Tourist who you know he’s Canadian because he’s waving a miniature flag of Canada all the time and says “Eh?” a lot. But it’s not a form of offensive stereotyping, it’s just poking fun. Georgio herself is one of my favorite parts of the game. As I said earlier, she is a true silent protagonist, she never says a single word throughout the game. Most of her “dialogue” is her just turning her head to the person who just got in her car, or pointing at something, or facial expressions. Story is very easy to follow, but you still get invested in making this limo company the best. I want to go more into characters, but it’s just something that’s better experienced in the game itself.
Replayability: 17/20. I’m gonna be honest with you, despite this review series being about games I’ve never played before, I have played Roundabout before back at the end of 2020. Coming back to it a little over a year later, I love it just as much as I did then. It’s a story that I can watch again and again and still get a kick out of everything involved. There’s also a variety of minigames you can play, or if you really want to test your skills, you can play the “Esports Speedrunning Challenge”, which skips all the cutscenes and you just go from checkpoint to checkpoint completing the entire game in one go. My personal best is 31 minutes, 5 seconds.
Total Score: 90/100. Roundabout is one of my favorite games I’ve played recently. I know I spent a lot of time gushing about the characters, but the characters are what make this game what it is, in my opinion. It’s incredibly charming, and a single playthrough only takes about 3-4 hours. It’s a great way to spend a few hours that you don’t know what to do with for a reasonable price point of $10.
Worth every penny just for the cutscenes and the straight-lerping hover eagle.

I'd rather be playing games from the Kururin series to be honest. If you can't get those, then I guess this will do? I found this infinitely more frustrating for some reason.
