Это был запуск ради выбора оставлять/рефандить (к вопросу, зачем писал обзор вообще). И первый уровень, и сам геймплей ВЕСЬМА понравились, и я обязательно пройду ее на безрыбье. Единственная моя претензия -- к визуалу: всё интерактивное сливается с фоном, и это мешает удобству, т.к. часто пулевой ад на экране или вот в секциях с платформингом тяжело признать в окружении проход или иную дверь. Тем не менее, однозначно оставляю эту игру.

Если успеете забрать в -94-50% (или около того), то это весьма себе вариант потратить деньги в категории видеоигр, если вам по душе шмапы и экшн платформеры.

Plataformas, shootemup, y una pizquilla de metroidvania. Rive es rápido, intenso y caótico. Es sencillo, pero desafiante, y se apoya en moverse, disparar, el arma secundaria y el pirateo. Predomina el combate, generalmente en oleadas a aguantar, y aún con sus asperezas; es arcade, satisfactorio y funcional. Abundan sin embargo los incómodos picos de dificultad, secciones a repetir una y otra vez por un tren que te atropella, un enemigo con escudo al que te cuesta disparar, o un kamikaze puesto con mucha malicia que te mueve y te quita el control de la nave durante un salto crucial. Rive está plagado de momentos así, y la inconsistencia en los checkpoints y las rareras en los guardados y pequeños crasheos lo hacen un tanto frustrante en ocasiones. Especialmente cuando tienes que tragarte los diálogos del insufrible protagonista redneck. No es algo grave, tampoco es grave al personaje, a quien coges cariño no tanto por él sino por la entrañable relación que desarrolla con el antagonista. Rive es corto, sencillo, y un tanto frustrante a veces, pero no está mal, especialmente para lo que suele costar de rebajas, que apenas llega al euro.

TL;DR: Nice, short sidescroller/bullet-hell/platform game. Good for a sale. Nice to finish on a weekend.

Finished the campaign in 5 hours, but it has extra challenges/levels, and a Hardcore mode. I'm not planning to continue playing, I had a good time, but I consider this game finished, on my end.
All in all, pretty nice short game.

Story
The story is campy, doesn't take itself too seriously, and it's... meh. Doesn't do anything for me, but I appreciate it's there.

Mechanics
The movement and shooting mechanics are good, basic but flexible, and pretty fun to play with. The enemies are interesting and vary enough for the campaign's playground.

Art/Graphics/Music
The art/graphics do the job. Clear enough to understand what's going on, simple enough to respect the laidback style of the campaign and the game in general.
The music sounds really, really good. I'm not sure if it fits the tone of the game though, it's more orchestral and serious sounding. But damm, I'm gonna look up the music artist, to see if they made something else to enjoy.

I was really enjoying this game up until Mission 4 when I tried to activate the warp pad, only to get permanently stuck in the campaign no way to proceed. According to the forums this is a known issue that can be fixed by reinstalling the game on a Windows machine or fiddling with Linux settings and proceeding from there; just wish I knew that before I picked this up in a bundle.

Great fun up to that point, but a massive shame I couldn't proceed. Apparently it works just fine on Windows, so most folks will have a better time. If you're on Linux/Steam Deck, check the forums, tinker, and it may work eventually. MacOS users, stay away.

What this game has going for it are the excellent visuals. And those are wasted on the rest of it. I do enjoy shmups and this sort-of felt like one until it didn't. It is basically more of a game of memory, not reaction. Like you get to some area and it very suddenly throws something at you that is a one-hit kill. Next time you know it will come and try to avoid that. Next step is the same. And then the same, and the same, and the same. It's annoying, not exciting.

Великолепная игра, один вот минус с Ачивкой, пройти без смертей на максимальной сложности, тут уж выручает дубликат сохранки при гибели, это подлый ход с моей стороны, но куда деваться для получения таких Хардкорных Ачивуль, во время прохождения на паузе в статистике можно проверить все ли Тараканы убиты в месте где вы находитесь, при прохождении одного испытания вам дают отдохнуть денёк чтоб разблокировалось новое, игра конечно Великолепна для тренинга шустрости. За 18 дней я прошёл все испытания в игре, это прям мне было очень-очень волнительно из-за страха к системе Сложней-сложней, да как по мне начальные испытания со сбросом камикадзе сложные, но самое сложное испытание для меня было под номером 17, там автоматом летят ракеты из вас, да эти ракеты могут вас как и врагов ушататеньки махом, а на последнем и похожих испытаниях как последнее, я использовал прыжок влево при старте, да там на стене либо зависает наш Паук, либо для подстраховки можно скакануть чутка выше на трубу которая торчит, там и торчать всё время которое вам положено на выживание, либо как я побаловаться в бою на последних 15 секундах(тут уж наваше усмотрение), вообщем игра великолепна за исключением только ачивки Прохождения без смертей.

The speed-jumping sections have almost zero fault tolerance while constantly spamming enemies—either interrupting movement or covering the screen in visual noise (fireworks, effects, etc.), making it unreadable. I’m sure I could eventually brute-force past these moments (half luck, half skill-adjustment), but the overall mediocrity of the rest of the game just doesn’t make it worth the effort.

Is the game hard? Absolutely Do i recommend it? Also yes. This game is hard to play even on normal difficulty but if your really looking for a challenge I would give this game a go its fun to play and is very underrated. It takes time and patience but once you get into it, it can be fun but some people dislike it for this reason. Got it on sale for a $1 so give it a go.

Душевная игра на деле, особенно если отыскать секретную комнату - я наверное за последние несколько лет так не ощущал себя таким проникнутым и подавленным, нет, я не имею в виду, что это плохо, это наоборот здорово, когда игра так делает, ведь всегда я осознаю насколько же прекрасным является этот мир и насколько я жив
Просто, говорить особо нечего, тупо пройдите игру сами, серьезно, желательно на максимальной сложности, она тут не разрывает жопу, но музыка и остальное исполнение, а шутка про русский тетрис - это было реально просто круто

Direi che è un gioco magnifico, ci torno spesso per una partitella. Un misto tra vecchia scuola e meccaniche di nuova generazione. Bellissimo il doppiaggio e umoristico al punto giusto.

Game begins fine as a very simple 2D Jump'n'Run Shooter. But already in the 3rd level the game just throws unfair sections at you that you basically cannot survive without dying at least once. It is not about reacting fast or looking out for clues. Just learn where the level throws instakills at you. The checkpoints seem to be very regular but the game is designed unfair just to be difficult without understanding the difference.

Even if you are fine with that, the game did not show anything yet that would make it stand out from similar games.

Скидка на игру в 94% бывает не каждый день, поэтому я решил приобрести её для коллекции. Основная причина покупки была следующей: +1 игра в библиотеку, + достижения, + карточки. Но, как оказалось, это достаточно интересная игра, которая мне действительно понравилась. RIVE — это динамичный 360-градусный шутер-платформер, где нам предстоит управлять космическим роботом. Мы оказываемся заперты на загадочном корабле, и чтобы выбраться, приходится взламывать роботов, уничтожать врагов и исследовать опасные зоны. За полную цену, возможно, дороговато, но в целом игра достаточно увлекательная

Nota 4/5: juego shooter lateral que alterna el clásico combate de naves y plataformeo creando retos trepidantes que suben la adrenalina con momentos muy peliculeros.
La dificultad escala muy bien y superar salas se hace cada vez más satisfactorio.
Los gráficos son agradables y los dialogos hacen muchas referencias a otros videojuegos.
La duracion de campaña es muy corta aunque tiene retos y dificultades extras.

I loved the developer Two Tribes, they have been one of my favs for years, I have all of their games, on all platforms. It was truly heartbreaking when they announced that Rive was going to be their final release. Especially when we look at the state of game development today, where today's game seem soulless, they have no heart. When you play a game released by older developers like Two Tribes, and then play something released in the modern age, you immediately can feel that something is missing. It is a real shame that gaming has become what it has.

10/10, конечно, но хардмод закрыт в начале, а помню версию, где начинал с хардмод и другую сложность выбрать нельзя было, может там пиратка была - хз, но было круче... мясо сразу было... теперь на "сложно", хоть и написано, что задумывалась на этом уровне сложности, не сложно кажется... а хардмод закрыт в начале... зачем?

Игра прикольная и интересная плюсов много но и минусы есть
плюсы
- нету багов (в начале игре особено)
- хорошая оптимизация
- крутой геймплей
- по факту крутая игра с стилем 2д
- сюжетом если можно конечно это назввать то тоже все супер
- цена приличная особено со скидкой
Минусы
- иногда бывает что на обычной сложности это как сложная сложность но я всё же прохожу это просто времени много уходит
- непривычная механика т.е. не как в обычных играх

А так все супер и круто

Very fun game! Loved it. Finished it in a day, about 7 hours. Really tight controls. Great set pieces! Cool bosses. Cool effects (explosions, blasters etc). Running smoothly. Story was engaging enough. Great variety in the level design and gameplay - sometimes the game switches the genre a little bit, but always keeping to the same controls.

I could have done without the 4th wall breaking and the couple pop culture references. But it didn't annoy me. Also the upgrade system is very basic. But it's a short game so it fits.

All and all: I totally recommend this game. I didn't expect much, so I was very pleasantly suprised and was engaged and really had fun for 7 hours with it.

Есть у игры недочеты в целом от которых жопа сгорает синим пламенем!
Но так как она короткая, то в принципе простительно.
Тем кто думает "а надо ли" - Будет больно и почти всю игру! Будет больно и весело. Рекомендую ли я.... Ну если веселый мазохизм это ваше кредо то по скидке думаю стоит, а так тут всю игру почти "путь боли")))

It's very charming with its humour and shows a lot of polish. I played it through to the end and enjoyed it throughout, though I had to pass some frustrating points related to jumps, elaborated below. Quite short but action packed.

Negatives:
1) Jump Control. Having it on a trigger just caused so many deaths. I played on Xbox elite controller, and I would have dropped the game completely if I didn't have the mechanical trigger 'shortener' on. Jump is on LT by default, and it can't be mapped to a face button. You need double-jump all the time and it's too sloppy.
2) Some silly checkpoint states - but I did get through them. Like starting with 1 bar of health.

Penso sia una gemma nascoste: uno sparatutto twin stick, dall'ambientazione sci-fi con una forte personalità. Regia e parlato molto ben fatti, con tanto humor, mai demenziale. Grafica molto ben fatta. Frenetico.
A causa della sua frenbesia è un trial error. Ma alla difficoltà "normale" si avanza bene, senza frustrazione perché i check-point sono frequenti.
Per me super-consigliato.

Game was really fun, the constant deaths during the end of mission 3 were a little annoying but the real problem was that the teleporter receiver at the beginning of mission 4 just... Didn't work? The door ahead was blocked so I assume I have to activate the teleporter before continuing, but when I press enter (the button showed, and the button that worked for every other teleporter/interactable item before) just made the player move to one of the sides of the teleporter. Other than that I don't think the game did great at hooking the "average gamer" in at the beginning but it is really fun to just be able to blow ♥♥♥♥ up lol

Hard to see what's going on, hard to see where you are supposed to go. Movement rules are not well communicated. Jokes and humor did not age well ("Pro-Tip: Don't forget to brush your teeth")

Expect to die to stuff you can't react to, memorize the location for next time and puzzle out the control rules.
