The game is good and worth buying, especially when it’s on sale. It offers a good variety of motorcycles, with several different types, from fully-faired sport bikes to motocross bikes and other categories. The number of tracks is decent — not huge, but enough to keep the game enjoyable for a while. The gameplay feels good, and riding the bikes is fun, mainly because each type handles a bit differently. - DRIFT: Drive slowly, at a jog's pace, gently turn, press/hold rear-brake, immediately followed by front-brake, and turn the other way to straighten/control the vehicle; and that counts as a Drift, apparently. You can do this even with full traction control. Then complete the course at whatever safe pace you like!

I had Ride 3 lying in my library untouched since March 2023, I installed and played it after 30 months in October 2025 I had finished every racing game in my library and replayed all my Need for Speed games twice. I was not impressed by the original Ride game so I didn't expect Ride 3 to be this good. Ride 3 is a racing simulator but it is also suitable for arcade racing players like me due to its lower difficulty options. The visuals are good, it is technically flawless - FPS rate was smooth, no crash or freeze, no significant graphical glitches.

Within a minute of launching the game the background music gave me good vibes, the game had me at the 'O...oowoe'. I'm glad I finally played this game instead of buying more games and letting my backlog grow. It is now among my top 10 longest played game out of the ~100 Steam games that I have played till now. It is not my top 10 favourite games but the game format demands a lot of time and it is enjoyable enough to be playable even after 20 hours.

The game is challenging even on lower difficulty. The Time Trials were invincible to me. In races sometimes I was on P1 from the start of the game till 90% and then P2 hit me from behind and I crashed and finished P4. I found that there is a Rewind option only after 10 hours so I can't blame the game for the frustrating difficulty. Despite using Rewind it was nearly impossible for me to win several races because of which I didn't finish the game but I'm satisfied with my progress.

If ride motorcycles this game will take the edge off rainy or cold days between the season. The physics are find an the bike selections from the 70s to circa 2020.

I haven't even finished it and already put 70hrs in, so it's definitely got plenty of content. Some of which might feel repetitive, like the english tracks that are mostly straight lines, but cest la vie.

Overall recommend it.

I didn't play RIDE 3 much after buying it, because I was always focused on MotoGP. Now I've played it and... it's really disappointing.

Great, smooth sim-cade driving model, pleasant graphics, perceptible love for motorcycles and overall style – they’re all ruined by random AI performance, artificial boost for first two opponents during most events in career mode, forced grinding and favoring only the fastest motorcycles with a full set of upgrades for specific races.

After playing for an extended period of time, it becomes clear that the developers at Milestone had no idea how to properly create such arcade, focused on grind game inspired by Forza Horizon – and as a result they made it really bad, taking inspiration from the worst possible examples (mainly from Forza Horizon... :P).

Actually, there is no AI or real racing here, just obstacles to pass while chasing the top two opponents – who are usually ridiculously fast compared to everyone else. Everything is scripted: the pace of the first two drivers, their advantage, even the speed of our own bike! - at least that's the impression you get... I mean, our motorcycle is often terribly slow, regardless of the gear settings it doesn't reach its maximum speed, it doesn't accelerate uphill…

Why always starting from the back of the grid, why only three laps per race, why no quick qualifying session? And why does only winning the race count? Sure, we earn stars to unlock new events for the top three places, but some interesting bikes can only be unlocked by winning everything—every unfair competition. Why not give points for every place, why not let the player to unlock everything he wants in exchange for these points? In such case AI could be more fair, more consistent, better scaled, better balanced… That kind of linearly scaled AI is what Milestone knows how to prepare.

To sum up: I really want to enjoy this game, the motorcycles, the tracks, but most of the time I can't. Setting the AI level to 55% or below helps with many unfair races, but not with all of them (I've been using 75% in MotoGP 18 which is arcade-like to the same degree)...

I'm devastated. Until now, I've had a great time playing practically every MotoGP game, both the older arcade ones and the new simulation ones. I consider MXGP 2019 and 2021 to be excellent, incredibly playable titles. RIDE 4 seems OK too (will it turn out to be an illusion?) - meanwhile, RIDE 3 trully disappointed me.

Maybe the game isn't THAT bad. I like the atmosphere, the main music theme, motorcycles customization... The driving model is also very good, appropriately arcade-like...

But you really have to play it in a specific way. Like Forza Horizon. And I think it's not my type of gameplay anymore.

this has far more selection of bikes ride 4 -5 have been let downs majorly in that aspect as well as gameplay on both newer games looks better but the story does not play better

i still think this is a better game even tho for a year on xbox you could not open it and it appears it has some issue on pc as well

Um game bem bacana! Comprei principalmente pela DLC que traz a Africa Twin, fiz todas as corridas desse conteúdo e gostei bastante. Como amante das motos big trail, esse é o último Ride que realmente trouxe esse estilo de moto, algumas no jogo base e outras em DLC.

É uma pena que a franquia não tenha continuado a incluir as big trails em seu catálogo, pois fazem muita falta. Ainda assim, no geral, é um ótimo game e recomendo tanto para quem curte motos quanto para quem gosta de jogos de corrida em geral.

Thank you to the people on the forums who shared this with me. I've always really enjoyed this game and coming back to it after many years I still think I prefer it to the more recent titles, it has a nice relaxed vibe to it and a great selection of bikes and customisation options, it's still very much worth playing and you can grab it for a lot cheaper than Ride 4 or Ride 5.

Best motorcycle game I've played. Difficult in a good way. Tons of bikes, tons of customization, and plenty of tracks. The rewind function makes the game more forgiving so you dont have to restart a whole race just because you blew a turn on the last lap. Definitely need a controller to play, smooth and partial inputs for throttle/brake/turning are a must. Gets 60fps and plays amazing on Steam Deck.

I must say that I have enjoyed many hours on this game. As a motorbike rider this seems to be closest to riding a bike that i have played so far. Its good fun for me, especially the 2-stroke bikes. Recommended. Albeit i don't like having to buy add-on's, which i wont ever, as i don't support this type of game selling business strategy. If its one sale i would recommend to it all.
