В свое время игра была хайповой, когда люди только начали покупать шлема и игры стали доступнее. Куча смешных видосов, как тупые людишки прыгают в реальности в экран)
Но очевидно это работало только тогда и только для тех, кто ни разу не играл в игры и не пробовал VR.
Сейчас это 20 минутная демка, высоту смутно ощущаю, но не страшно, при том что в реальности боюсь высоты.
Есть пару бестолковых режимов, но по сути в игре делать нечего, кроме как 5 минут дать своим родителями или еще кому посмотреть с высоты вниз.
Управления как такового нет, нужно приличное игровое пространство чтобы немного походить.
Пора бы уже сделать игру бесплатной, платить за такое сейчас хз)
Ganz nettes Minigame, aber leider nur mit kurzem Unterhaltungswert. Lohnt sich nur für Parties, denn nach 1-2 Mal haut einen der Effekt nicht mehr vom Stuhl. Vor allem die Simpel-Grafik von vorgestern hätte man sehr viel schöner machen können.
Trotz zusätzlichem Santa-Feature, in dem man in der Stadt herumfliegt ist dieses Spiel nicht mehr als 5 EUR wert, denn es wirkt, als ob das Ding schnell zusammenprogrammiert wurde, ohne sich richtig Mühe zu geben...

Originally this game was unique and a fun way to introduce players to VR. More recently the developers have mindlessly ruined the entire experience. The introduction of a nonsense EULA screen that resets every time the headset is removed, breaks the ability to calibrate a real-world plank and makes the entire game useless. I guess this is what happens when clueless developers don't test their own game and are completely out-of-touch with reality. Being forced to page through an EULA in VR is the dumbest thing I've seen in 40 years.

It's really strange to recommend a game for the wrong reason.
The heights are freaky and the flying is pretty cool - but the thing I will "praise" this game for the most is the absolute panic and fear that set in for me during the spider section. As shown during the video on my YouTube, I did not know what would await me when I pressed the number 6 on the hidden panel; at first the scurrying Spiders was bad but not something that I couldn't deal with by just stepping back - but the second that large one came down (didn't help that my back was turned when it came down) - The fear in me went to 11 so quick. I was shaking, almost brought to tears and of all the screams i have let out across the many different horror games i have faced - This was something else entirely. It doesn't matter how much of you knows that "it's not real". In that moment. Your brain just doesn't care, it just sees your biggest fear and every part of your fight or flight goes off!
So, I do recommend this if you want a taste of real fear - but if you are as scared of spiders as me, don't bother.
note; seeing others complain and whine about the price and how "oh you won't play it long enough for it to be worth it" is really funny, because surely they should realise that you can play it (for only 10 minutes as they say), then just refund it. Nothing lost, an amazing experience gained XD
if you have played a lot of vr before this game is pretty boring. Atleast for me it didnt feel like i was high up at all. The content is also pretty limited. it was fun to fly with the fire extinguishers though it was a very small map for that.

So I just let an 8yo try this as her first VR experience. She was blown away, until at the end of the plank she literally *dove headfirst off the plank down to the city below.* but she wasn’t i30 stories up, she was on our basement tile floor. She broke our quest 3 (airlink FTW!) and is probably scarred for life!
Great fun. Just stay close to people trying for the first time or they might hurt themselves or your stuff!

An OG Of VR. The most memed VR game. The VR game that's appeared in more Gifs than any other game. The VR game that has cause more destruction than any other game. One of the first games to demo to your family and friends, or random strangers in the street.
If you have PCVR capacity and this is not in your library, you're not really doing PCVR.

When I bought the game it was scary with a crazy clown cutting the plank to make you fall. Not it has nanny controls and is not scary
The game WAS amazing for fun experience with groups of people, everyone sees the others doing it, thinks it's easy, and finds out it's not.
However with the Developer pissing their panties and having EACH USER to click the EULA Screen, which requires:
- each user to actually have controllers
- telling them how to interact with this screen
- which is even worse when it's kids
This has become unusable. I thankfully still have an OLD version of this without that idiotic requirement saved locally.
In it'S current state? Stay the hell away unless it's only for yourself.
As others have already stated, this game is way too small to be worthy of its price.
My family bought it for fun when we got our VR headset (because my brother in particular wanted to play it, he found it on Youtube) and while it was fun for the first <hour, we never played it again.
(It was fun for them, but in my opinion it's just too expensive and will probably just sit on my Steam account, forever forgotten.)

*one year later update, devs never fixed the eula making it impossible to set up the plank without 2 people, so disapointing they added this bs to the game and didnt even have the courtesy of making it work.
The eula is the dumbest thing added to the game. Makes setting up the plank impossible, every time you take off the head set you have to have the next person click accept.
Get rid of the eula, by buying the game and owning vr set of course we acknowledge we can get hurt. That's like the store making you click accept everytime you pick up your kitchen knife.
Right now it became a waste of $15 because you have to set it up each time you let someone else play.

Oyun eğlenceli mi? Evet ama fiyatını haketmiyor. 15 dolar bazında değil 5 dolar bazında olmalı. Bunun dışında eğlendiriyor sizi bir yere kadar zaten kısa sürüyor. Başarım olsaydı bir amacımız olurdu. Arkadaşlarınıza VR gözlüğünü göstermelik bir oyun olarak düşünebilirsiniz aslında.
Ek olarak "Santa Simulator" oyunu da bedavaya geliyor ama yine de kısa sürüyor o yüzden karışık bir inceleme olarak görebilirsiniz.

This was probably one of the first VR experiences that a lot of people are introduced to. Its fun, but I don't understand how so many people freak out and break ♥♥♥♥ in their house like you see online. My GF's daughter tried it and almost broke my VR. There are a few game modes within this game that are fun for the whole fam.

SOOOO! there i was, playing this game, i thought it was pretty cool, right? so i go show my mom, she comes in checks it out says the same thing doesn't want to go the the ledge. Very well! so a few months later she comes home after a night out with my step dad, and instead of showing them her cool things she tells her friends, my son has this GREAT game, so here in come all the big fat drunk friends, one is like well over 250lbs/113kg and her husband was nice, tried it own said it was too much. Well that was all nice until the wife wanted a go, so i assumed, at the age of 50 youd have a recollection within your mind that putting on glasses doesn't teleport you to a new world/realm. INCORRECT WAS I, earlier that day i bought a very expensive 4k moniter which was set nicely on the desk and to the right of the desk i have nothing there. She was at first hesistant to walk out, but then shortly after said ok HERE I GO! and started to run full speed at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall like a damn moron! my VR went full force almost knocked my 4k screen off the desk and i was annoyed, but it was my mother and her friends so i sat and burned inside. Well a family friend was there and he assured me he won't damage the device, then proceeds to say "watch this" and holds his arms out as if he is about to engage in a free fall, falls face first into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall. Moral of the story DO NOT LET YOUR DUMB FAMILY FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT THIS GAME it is a very good game 10/10 recommend. ♥♥♥♥

As a note This game was played by a bunch of 50-60 year old's and a 97 year old. that wanted to walk on plank or "fall off a cliff" most of the review will be based off them
Keep in mind most of them have never touched a video game since pong or tetris.
game was a major letdown but also did what it needed to do. only got it so my family and grandmother could try walking on a plank because my aunt wanted to see my grandma fall in vr
But this games has a few issues mostly due to the age group of who was playing it.
First of all even though we had a play area set up that worked for other games [fallout,skyrim,vrchat] this game was wonky
Example when you load the game up you need like 4m of space to walk into the elevator the room setup tended to only cover half the elevator and made it so you had to stand on the edge
We did try to re do room setup but that did not help much.
Problem 2
unless I missed something the "plank" part of the game seems like lacking compared to other aspects of the game.
*again for my 97 year old grandma was enough* [and no the horror part does not count as more]

the game took way to long for my family to be able to figure out how to do anything on the other floors.

Some of the most fun I've had in VR. That said, it is not a full game. It is a VERY short tech demo. I mostly use this these days to introduce my friends who are new to VR. It does have more than just the plank walk, though. The flying is an absolute blast and I would love to see it used in a full length Iron Man or some other superhero themed game.
Given how short this is I can't recommend it at full price, but catch it on a 50% or more off sale and I'd say it's worth it.

This is a great experience to freak out your friends and family, its REALLY short and NEVER goes on sale. There is nothing else like it so you're sort of stuck with it but it worth it!
Richies Plank Experience is not a game as much as an experience. You will ride an elevator up to the top floor of a skyscraper. The doors open, and you can see… the plank. Will you walk out?
There are a few other modes besides this experience as well that will we cover in this review. Richie’s Plank Experience was first launched in VR in 2016. How does the experience hold up?
Richie's Plank Experience came out in 2016 and there were not as many expectations for VR games as people have today.
The developers have released a few free updates over the years like Hero Academy, Santa Simulator, and Nightmare mode, but overall it is a pretty short experience.
That said, this experience is still one of the best for showing VR to new people.
If you are looking for a game or something you can play many times - You are probably going to want to pass here because you will be disappointed. This is not that.
If you are looking for a great thing to show people who are new to VR, especially in a group. The reactions people have playing this game for the first time are pretty priceless.

The game looks fun, scary and full of stuff to do, but it's pretty much the opposite. There is no replay value in this game and it gets boring fast. This is not worth your time, especially for 15 dollars.

I had to get this game for obvious reasons. You walk off an elevator onto a plank at the top of a skycraper. What you do from there is up to you. I was surprised to find some other game modes. There's the Hero Academy with three mini games.
You can race around flying in the sky through rings with rockets attached to your hands. I recommend turning on ludicrous speed.
You can fly around to the tops of buildings putting out fires.
Or you can fly around knocking missles out of the sky.
And there's a free flight mode. All are ridiculously fun and it really feels like you're flying.
There's another mode where you have a color pallette in one hand and a rocket in the other. You fly through the sky leaving a polygonic trail of your selected color behind you. You can use this to make paintings in the sky while you fly.
If you see a panel that says do not touch, DO NOT TOUCH!
The only downside to this game is the graphics. Everything looks kinda blurry even in all of the other screenshots and videos I see. Still a unique and worthwhile experience.
