I love how it feels like a proper Regency game, with a bit of story to go alongside the cardplay. The music is pleasant and charming, and the artwork is properly bright and yet dreamy.

Solid solitaire game. It's less addictive than other solitaire games that go on forever. Takes about 8 hours to complete on normal if you want to get all stars. Probably longer if you want to get all achievements. I'm not into Regency England so I didn't care much for the story. There's some customization features for room and clothing, accessories but it's very basic. Overall a fun, quick, solitaire game.

I did not expect this game to be so addictive. The game can be very challenging even in Normal mode, the music is good, the visuals are gorgeous, and the story is a funny spin on Austen novels. A delight!

Cute solitaire game! I enjoyed it. The story was cute/short and sweet, but the main focus was the solitaire, so I don't mind too much that it's very predictable. Cozy game for those that are insane like me and decide suddenly "ah yes solitaire I haven't played this in years why not open the microsoft pre-installed thing-" and then (have someone else) go "NOOOOO NOT THE MICROSOFT PRE-INSTALLED THING". Hard mode truly is challenging! I haven't played normal mode funnily enough so idk how big the gap between those two is. I just know that I spent a while on the last level trying to get a long enough combo, which is why I've played this for... 11 hours. 11 hours. I feel my life is a lie. Either way, achievements will all be gotten in one playthrough if you simply play on hard mode. So that's relatively straightforward! Yeah not much else to say, the art is nice!

If you like playing solitaire and historical fiction this is a great game. The concept of the solitaire is the same throughout which I thought would get boring but they change the layout and add some surprising elements that this was not the case. I have gotten half way through a second play through to see if it was re-playable and I find it is. The solitaire is similar in concept to tri peaks so if you like that solitaire I would definitely recommend this game.

It has a few fun mechanics and boni you can unlock, but all in all it was quite forgiving. The art is pretty and the story a nice backdrop. And the "just one more round" pull was real.

Porém, ele adiciona configurações bastante variadas de cartas, desafios e power-ups que ajudam a transformar aquele velho jogo de Windows 3.11 em algo bem mais dinâmico e interessante.

As a regular solitaire player, I thoroughly enjoyed this fun spin on the game. I will be checking out the developer's other variants as well, because this was very addictive!
This is a very well done solitaire game and I have played through it twice. However I found one mistake. In the final location, Bela's home, one of the goals is impossible. You can't get a run of 35 cards if there are never that many cards on the board to start with. This is a small issue and does not take away from the overall excellence of this solitaire game.
A pleasant solitaire game that at some point, however, tends to become boring because the same pattern keeps repeating.

La base è il classico solitario con regole semplici (costruire sequenze di carte più alte o più basse). Ma la differenza è che ci sono bonus, power-up e oggetti da sbloccare: completando i livelli accumuli risorse che Bella può usare per “abbellire” la sua casa, migliorare gli ambienti e ottenere vantaggi concreti nelle partite.
Il ritmo è molto rilassante, senza mai frustrare troppo: la difficoltà cresce in maniera graduale, e riesce a mantenere il giocatore agganciato senza stressarlo.
Visivamente è semplice, ma elegante: carte curate, sfondi tematici e un’estetica in linea con l’epoca Regency. Non è spettacolare, ma coerente. La colonna sonora è tranquilla, quasi meditativa, perfetta per una sessione rilassante. Alla lunga comunque si finirà per ascoltare Spotify.
CONCLUSIONE
Regency Solitaire è un titolo che unisce il fascino di un solitario ben fatto a una narrativa leggera e piacevole. Non punta a sconvolgere, ma a offrire relax e continuità, e in questo riesce benissimo. È perfetto per chi cerca una pausa tranquilla da giochi più impegnativi, con quel pizzico di originalità dato dalla cornice Regency.

A nicely chilled game to relax the brain for when one doesn't want to play stressful, challenging, and complex games such as Elden Ring or Shadow Empire.
Relaxing, unassuming solitaire game. It doesn't outstay it's welcome and the story is as gentle as can be and sometimes unintentionally hilarious. Games these days seem to consist of horrifying alien monsters exploding worlds with heroes carving out their names in big huge ravenous giants in glorious gory detail before they cut their own heart out and swallow it.
And then you got regency solitaire... funny world, this one.
I think the best in the genre
Animations are very smooth, no slow/clunky movements or picky clicks. Very fair amount of power ups and extra cards to get through difficult levels or beat the goals. Fun wallpapers that you can add to your desktop if you'd like.
The only thing I didnt really like was not being able to go to a specific level, as they play in like groups of 10. But that wasnt a terrible issue by any means.

Easiest way to put it, it's solitaire with an overall mid story. It would be nice if losing matches changed the story in some way giving you a bad ending, but it doesn't. It's an overall simple game and something to play when you don't feel like stressing or thinking about anything. Get it if you want to casually waste time.

Regency Solitaire I is a fun variation on the pairing lower & higher cards version of Solitaire, set against nicely drawn backdrops of 1812 England. I much prefer the story of this game to the sequel, as it does a good job of sharing Bella's struggles and romance.
The store purchases improving both the look of the ballroom and the game mechanics on hand is a nice touch. Great music and sound effects.
Heh. I did find it sometimes off putting to use flashy power-ups to target and remove specific cards from the playing field, as they generally are decorated with portraits of people you're trying to help. Click. FWOOSH! :D
Klondike solitaire (the classic) is a more complex in-depth variant. There is no stack management aspect here. Simple single draw cards with some power ups. The only real strategy is built around getting combos. The plot is very run of the mill pride and prejudice inspired stuff. Its fine and charming enough. But its a very superficial pastiche. Drawings are nice and all but perhaps not what I want as a desktop background. A feature that was included.
Windows '98 comes with a better solitaire game for free with more variants and complexity. As a solitaire lover I was deeply disappointed as far from modernising it has simplified. The 10 pound price point is extremely high for what it is.
solitaire with a Jane Austen greatest hits plot happening in the background. the music and art fit the vibe, and it was the perfect game to play in bed before sleep. the solitaire setups were tricky but forgiving so you can complete everything without stress. had a fun time with this one and will definitely check out Grey Alien Games other solitaire releases!

A very nice card game with great art and music. Perfect for coffee breaks.
Easy to play solitaire game with a charming Regency romance story. Takes about 5-6 hours to beat; I played through twice, once on normal and once on the hard difficulty. There's a house scene to furnish in between the 20 "chapters" of the game - most chapters have 10 levels but the early ones have between 2-5 levels.
Nice game for chilling out when you've got a few minutes here and there, as none of the levels have more than about 40 cards, so it only took me a minute or two to play a level. You almost get a little too much help by the time you get to ~75% complete with all the powerups charging up so rapidly and how many jokers and wildcards you find. The Steam Achievements are all very doable.
If you like the mechanics of this game but seek more of a challenge, check out Shadowhand for an RPG solitaire game featuring quite a few turn-based battles, and another great storyline.

If you're itching for solitaire and have not played many of the modern versions of it, this one is not bad.
But it's nothing special either.
The story line is pretty unnecessary as there is nothing about it that actually plays into the mechanisms of the game. There are only 2 really, find the key(s) to open locked stacks and clear an amount of royal cards to unlock stacks. There are also stage "challenges" that increase this difficulty: usually getting a certain amount of money/stars/combo. These are fine but underwhelming. It also feels like there are 3-5 too many stages for what it is and for how few mechanisms come into play. Some things I found annoying were that some stages have sets of sideways facing cards which make it a bit harder for your brain to process the information you are looking at and make you have to play slower. There is also occasionally "stacks" of cards where it looks like a single card with no way to tell there are more in the stack. There could be 2 or 7; you will have to find out by losing because you thought it was a single card and knowing better on replays. This could have been easily fixed with a slightly isometric image of a stack to show more than one.
Overall: fine. Perfect example of a game that needs a "middle" thumb rating. Not good, not bad.
I have 100% achievements on this for some strange reason. I really dont remember playing it all but I 15.4 hours on record. I guess I like it.

It's a well polished solitaire game that keeps dragging you back in for one more hand. Then another. And another. The story is a nice touch.

Nice solitaire game. Common design using storyline, and power ups etc. Some of the chapter challenges can be a bear, unless you've saved up a pile of wild cards. Cloud save support ,so you can pick it up for short spurts no matter where you are.

I understand how Solitaire works. However, this game isn't just a hand of Solitaire in isolation. With certain layouts, and given the wildcard/joker mechanism, they can still be impossible to successfully pass in a manner that doesn't deplete your wildcard/joker resources to where further levels become even more problematic.
Basically, the game ends up being just a question of where do I want to put a hard wall of required retries where the outcome is purely determined by RNG.
There is literally no player skill or puzzle solving involved. The only thing that is "Solitaire" about this game is there happens to be a deck of cards involved.
This game and the second one are worth your time even if the theme doesn't appeal to you. Very satisfying and addictive solitaire.
This was fine. If you want a solitaire game with weird set-ups and rotated cards to make things more challenging, this will fit that need. It has a predictable and saccharin Austenesqe storyline that I hoped would be complicated or subverted but wasn't. Meh, but I finished it.

Meh, a heavily qualified recommendation since Neutral isn't an option.
I enjoyed the first half of the game and would have heartily recommended that, but I also would recommend against the game after toiling through the later parts of the game to the end. It increasingly becomes just a long slog with frustrating limitations that take away what makes a solitaire game fun. The increasingly weird starting configurations made it feel tedious and random.
The regency story is neat as are the story upgrades, but I wish it hadn't hobbled the solitaire aspect so thoroughly as the game went on.
Chill, not particularly intensive solitaire game, wrapped up in a regency story. Not exactly hardcore, not the solitaire you're probably thinking of, but nice to relax to or do in the background.

I got this regency story-based solitaire cards game on a bit of a whim while looking for a casual game that I could turn to as and when I just wanted a relaxing game experience. Having just fully completed the game and its achievements, I'm really glad that I took the chance on it!
The game consists of 20 chapters, matching "headlines" in the overarching story of the impoverished heroine Bella trying to rebuild her family's wealth and ballroom, so that she can finally host a triumphant Ball and find true love. Each chapter contains up to 10 solitaire levels with varying layouts and obstacles e.g. "lock" cards that cannot be removed until a "key" card is revealed. The goal for each level is to remove all of the dealt cards through sequences, wildcards, and special tools, before the player's deck of cards runs out. One or more stars are awarded for the successful completion (or near completion) of a level; each level can be immediately retried to try to get a better result. Removing cards earns money, and this is multiplied in relation to the number of cards removed in single sequences.
Chapters also have goals e.g. obtaining (or exceeding) a target number of stars or a specified amount of money. A chapter must be repeated if any of its goals have not been achieved when the chapter's final level is finished. At the successful end of a chapter, the player can purchase items for Bella and her ballroom, each giving an upgrade to the game play (e.g. being able to see the value of a hidden card).
Achievements are awarded for game progression, for completing the game in normal and hard modes, and for various play-related performances (making long sequences, using all of the tools, etc). But, putting aside all of the above descriptions of how the game works, the most important summary is that Regency Solitaire is sweet, cosy, challenging but forgiving (with unlimited attempts at a level, plus the various tools and upgrades), fun, and accompanied by really nice and appropriate music and artwork. In short, a pleasure to play.

I blacked out and before I knew it I'd played 5 hours of nonstop solitaire. It's surprisingly addicting, and it's very charming; I love the music especially. It's a nice, relaxing game to play if you want to turn your mind off for a bit.
The game looks cheap. The story, the graphics and the gameplay are all pretty meh ...
But nonetheless, I couldn't resist completing a full playthrough, so there is definitely something about it that works (and therefore it wouldn't be fair to give a negative review).

It's okay. I wanna say for a simple solitaire game it does have that oldschool charm to it where 2000's and 2010's brewed lots of filler craze games that were addicting for PC games.
Although my complaint would be that you are a bit forced to use literally all of your Joker cards which forces you to restart a round multiple dozens of times before going on a streak. And this is all for last hard levels, I wouldn't say much since I know it is a Solitaire game and it's hard to code a proper randomizer but even with power-ups it still felt a bit weak with the chances. But that's my only sole complaint really.
Everything else was decent and straightforwardly executed.
I don't know who decided bridge and Bridgerton needed to have a baby, but that person is a genius.
The last stage on hard was a challenge with the RNG, but overall fun.
This is an addictive game and I'm a fan of the the prequel (sequel?) games as well. It's like other clicky solitaire games that you might play, layered with a regency storyline and characters that are interesting, well-drawn, and interactive in the way that you can use items, etc, to influence scoring and play.
