First top down shooter I've ever played and loved the heck out of it. Great artstyle combined with an addictive and easy to understand weapon system make this a great starting point for anyone interested in the genre. I definitely recommend this game to just about anyone.

有打不开的问题，我是打了那个G日的838补丁就行了，游戏是好游戏，刺激，一套行云流水的操作过关很有成就感，但是不推荐，敌人神预判，要么不出手，出手你必死，一关只要失手一次就重来，而且还有初见杀陷阱，不是找虐的慎入
这是一款非常有意思的小游戏，后面有几关笔记难，一死就是几十次（同一个地方死了几十次，要自闭了），最后都练成条件反射了（看回放把自己帅哭了）。这游戏可以和AI比反应莽过去，或者用你的智慧（哈哈）。总体来说还是很不错的游戏，希望后续能出更多的关卡。谢谢

どうでもいいけど発砲音とガラスが割れる音をもっと大きくしたほうが爽快感があっていいですよ？You may as well turn up "Sound of firing","Sound of broken glass" for boosting exhilarating feeling up.
爆弾で吹き飛んだ敵も黒こげになったり、手足がちぎれていたりしたほうがいいかも。I propose that body of enemy killed by a bomb be charred or dismembered body.

Уровни, при прохождении со спецзаданиями, под конец особенно, очень трудны, что очень приятно.

I can enjoy a challenging 2D shooter, and Redie certainly brings the noise. The game features excellent level design, with many glass windows, explosive barrels, and fragile walls that allow you to create your own routes through the maps. In addition, I enjoyed a lot of the creative weaponry I was able to wield. The game features a sniper rifle that can penetrate through doors, a semi-automatic rifle that allows players to bounce shots off of the walls, and a tesla gun that instantly fries any enemy caught in its beam. I enjoyed plotting a route through the maps, ensuring that I stayed "strapped" (guns only have one clip of ammo) and approaching enemies in the safest way possible.
The reason that I can't give the game a higher score is due to a few extremely frustrating maps. In both "Skyscraper" and "Facility," the player basically begins the level with enemies coming at them. This creates a reactive scenario that is less about planning and more about trial and error. In these two maps, the player can expect to spend an inordinate amount of time just creating space and getting away from the enemies that begin the level in your proximity. I (re)died over 200 times before I beat Skyscraper, and that wasn't even my first play session trying that level. With Facility, luckily, I was able to find a youtube video that showed me how to extricate myself from the mess of a situation the game started me in. Once out (maybe 5 seconds into the level), I was able to use what I knew about the game to finish. However, I found these levels excruciating.
If you're looking for something twitchy and intense to scratch that Hotline Miami itch, I do think Redie fits the bill. However, you'll need a tolerance for frustration to see it through to the end (as of the time of this review, less than 10% of players finished the game). The game also features a "challenge" for each level, but this just seems ludicrous - I'm not that much of a glutton for punishment.
Hotline Miami is better, buy that.

Very interesting... best described as a puzzle-shooter... The main difficulty of the levels I've gotten to has been in figuring out tactical approaches to making it through, but it's not a purely strategic game... it actually demands pretty intense coordination and reflexes to accurately hit enemies as quick as is needed... About as often as not, miss even one shot with a pistol, knife, or shotty and you're dead. This is where the titular mechanic comes in... at any point, when dead or alive, you can reboot the level nigh instantly by hitting the R key to try again from the start... You will use this ability A LOT, I'm not sure I've cleared a level in less than 3 tries (no, not even the first tutorial), but you just get right back on the horse and start over. As nice as this idea and most of it's execution is, it's also the games biggest drawback... you have exactly as much life as the enemies (you die from one hit from any weapon other than the Uzi, which takes two), and honestly enemies are about perfectly accurate and extremely quick on the draw... one mistake, as said, and you're likely starting over... which gets frustrating as levels get longer and your checkpoint is always the beginning of the level... I found myself wanting a proper save state, a check point, or shorter levels because trial-and-erroring later parts of a stage became frustrating as I had to repeat every bit leading up to it, perhaps dying for the 47th-53rd times on the earliest hard part just to get a crack at dying a second time on a later hard part. That said, and bare in mind I'm not one of those Dark Souls masochistic difficulty game-fans here (honestly I play games to be relaxed rather than challenged most of the time), weird as it sounds, it's frustrating in a fun way? Like I've never loudly cursed at a game so many times in a short period, but I was laughing while I did it... there was a weird comical quality to figuring out a risky but efficient way to clear the early part of a level (where reloading if you did a couple times might be faster than taking your time) and then screwing it up like 4 times in rapid succession (the first grenade level, where I realized shoving a bookcase over on the first enemy was a highly effective if unreliable strategy comes to mind). I paid a virtrual pittance for this game due to the winter sale, and honestly it was worth every penny... If you're paying more, I suppose taste comes into play as a factor more, but I'm quite happy with the purchase personally, especially for what I paid.
This is a surprisingly unknown game with great gameplay and a cool visual style. Definitely check it out if you're interested
The enviromental destruction, gunplay, and other little details like bloody footprints elevate this game to more than just a 3d hotline miami clone.

挺容易触发bug。第一次在调设置时卡在载入，退到主界面再进入就没问题了。第二次打开游戏时屏幕一片黑，能听见挥舞小刀的声音但是没有画面。在不到半小时游戏时间里遇到两次bug，更不用说过长的加载时间带来的烦躁了。
游戏还是不错的，和迈阿密热线不相上下。不习惯的是总想r键换子弹结果redie了。5块钱就不退了。

just started playing it, i gotta say, for a game thats 1.60 cents its a whole lot of fun and it got a few chuckles out of me. I have kids and am constantly interrupted untill they sleep at night, that being said, this is a game i could have fun with and play throught the day and pause or drop it instantly to go to something else.

めっちゃムズイ。一発で自分のキャラが死ぬ。
照準が結構合わせづらく、敵がかなり当ててくる。

Personally, I've found this game to be an excellent time-killer - playing it in between classes or responsibilities, for maybe 20 minutes, is a great way to spend time. I think it's really the level progression, and the ability to try new strategies that makes me enjoy it. Whilst the game itself is *really, really hard*, especially with the difficulty of the bots, it's also what makes it so refreshing to play against other top-down shooters.

Redie ist ein Top Down Shooter und aus meiner Sicht klon von Hotline Miami.
Die Grafik ist relativ schlicht gehalten, stört mich aber bei so einem Spiel nicht.
Das Gameplay erinnert stark an Hotline Miami. Ein Level mit paar Gegnern die man erledigen muss. Einzige Manko wenn man nur einen Treffer ab bekommt ist Feierabend :D Das heißt man muss das Level von neu beginnen. Es gibt verschiedene Waffen und Gegnertypen.
Alles in allem bin ich der Meinung Redie ist ein sehr guter Hotline Miami Klon den man sich ruhig mal im Sale holen kann wenn man schon beide Teile von Hotline Miami durch hat. Also eine klare Kauf emphelung!

Cannot close the game without it turning both screens black and making me restart. Otherwise fun
Try the demo first because there's only one difficulty setting in this game- It's very high, but it's fair.
Controls are so smooth (even on my old PC) that you won't be let down in fire fights by dodgy frame rates or bad hit boxes. In the full game you get extra levels and a few new enemy types and guns. More of the same as in the demo really. The levels are well designed and have a good selection of themes to them but it's quite a lean game. Each level is good and with no cutscenes or filler material, but it won't take you long to complete them all.
There are nice touches that you don't get on some bigger titles - Corners of walls chip out from the bullets, glass breaks and furniture flies all over the place. The only down side is that there's no story to link it all together - It's unashamedly an arcade style shooter only, but it does the gameplay well. Towards the end of the game each level seems so impossible it's both funny and frustrating, but with the power of infinite rapid-restarts you can try out all sorts of crazy strategies and create some spectacular action. Winning against all the odds makes it a worthwhile experience in the end.
It's basically hotline miami with a different look and an emphasis on guns. Kinda like "Hotline Miami-Lite". There's also no story, it's just level after level.
Each mission has a 'mastery challenge' that asks the player to complete it in a specific way (ex. Complete in 25 seconds with two double kills, Complete is 30 seconds with no explosions, Complete in 25 seconds without using the same gun twice, etc.)
It's fast and smooth, and restarting the level is as fast as it is in Hotline Miami.
$10 is the high end of what I'd pay for this. Anything less is a decent price for this quick fix.
It's fun if you want to kill some time. Challenging and tense but, very satisfying once you learn and complete a level.

[*] [b]Реиграбельность.[/b] Несмотря на "примерно одинаковые" подходы к дизайну уровней, прохождение может меняться совершенно разительным образом - часто враги действуют по принципиально разным паттернам, зависящим от нескольких факторов. Ну и выбор оружия на поле боя существенно меняет картину поведения. "Правильных прохождений" тут нет вообще;
[*] [b]Сложность.[/b] Сказать, что высокая - ничего не сказать. Чтобы выбить ачивку на уровне, нужно уложиться в отведенное время И сделать [i](или не делать)[/i] что-то экстраординарное. Например, на уровне, утыканном гранатами и взрывающимися бочками, ничего не взрывать. При этом всём враги кровожадны, беспощадны и никогда не промахиваются;

在逆风笑的冷节操上看到的小游戏，玩起来会上瘾啊。节奏紧凑，关卡地图很精致，武器设定也很有趣，玩起来容易上手，但是难度也不是盖的，佳作
这款游戏真的很棒棒的，但就是很容易卡关，一卡住了，就近乎没有玩下去的信心了XD.整体游戏非常的好就是AI有点6，看见你，那么，你就可以再一次REDIE了XD.

It's hard to fully recommend this game currently, because I finished the game with all masteries and felt disappointed that there wasn't more levels. The game is good, though I'd like to see workshop content added.
803 deaths in 1.8 hours game play.
First of all I'm not a big fan of shooters. But redie is a shooter where you can lay out your strategy and try it. The bots are predictable in their moves and kill you almost instantly on sight.
So far I'm on level four and I guess I could have made my way through the game a lot faster. But I tried the masteries.
I'm playing on Linux with an Intel i7-6700k and a Geforce 760 and my fps never go below 320fps. (Tip: press F10 for in game stats.)
And .. yeah be prepared to redie and hit Alt-F4 in frustation, just to instantly reopen the game.

事先聲明，我是在看到水友的評價，才想來一次勇敢的嘗試，原本以為在第一人稱上帝視角類型的射擊遊戲已經相當的得心應手，然而在整個遊戲進程中還是感到莫名的不適，這不僅體現在操作的不適上，還體現在莫名的bug和屎一樣的遊戲設計上里，我一直很苦惱為什麼steam沒有中評這回評價，差評太不給臉色，畢竟還算有點潛力，希望能隨著開發進一步完成使遊戲變得更加豐富飽滿。
很多水友評價說這給人感覺有點像邁阿密熱線。。。我完全不覺得，邁阿密熱線除了遊戲模式上的新穎外，引人入勝的劇情才是精髓所在，俯視角射擊遊戲有很多，為何單獨把邁阿密熱線作為比方？
來說說我的主觀感受。
首先，這個遊戲難的實在讓人難以置信，這不是一個對玩家來說特別友好的遊戲，至少是現在這個階段，它太困難了。光要一路過個主線都很難，再加上限時完成的成就，恐怕得打上成就收集癖\強迫症退避的標籤，讓一些由顯示器爆炸而產生火災造成生命財產損失的事故少些發生。
然後，敵方AI正面反應速度非常驚人（但在某些地方反而有點遲鈍，就比如，一個重達7、8kg的RPG拍向後腦勺，居然還不為所動，我想這就是戀愛吧？），無論是抬手速度還是反應速度都是這樣，快剛露個頭就會瞬間斃命，雖然有殘血的概念，但這和邁阿密熱線差不多，沒太大用處；除了背面和側面，這也註定了這個遊戲就是不能正面硬肛，找準最短路線潛行暗殺槍聲勾引連擊combo才能讓這個遊戲打起來更具有觀賞性
其次，值得一提地方：
1.遊戲的物理框架特效做的還算不錯，人物受槍擊后會如斷線木偶一樣倒地，這太有型了；一些可以互動的東西，例如旋轉門；很多東西可以推動，甚至能作為掩體。。。。但實戰基本上用不到
2.3D俯視角充分發揮了它的優點，有些墻壁的陰影後面是可以藏人的，一個猝不及防就會直接GG
3.盾牌兵算是個比較有意思的兵種，它不吃正面傷害，玩家可以選擇和盾牌兵玩繞圈進行正面的背刺，這應該也算一點小技巧吧。可惜玩家沒辦法持盾突進
4.挑戰性和可玩性很高
最後，在操作設計上的抱怨：
1.手雷能以一個極其特殊角度穿墻飛出地圖外面，這算是一個有幫助的bug嗎？反正我是被隔墻炸死了好幾次
2.有時敵人能把你卡在一個位置無法移動,如果你是在這時候已經打出一個完美的combo而這最後一個敵人的站位讓你動彈不得的時候。。。大抵都會感歎，為什麼玩家的力量不能再強一點？
3.玩家的拾槍速度太慢，為什麼空格拾槍的時候還要先把手上的槍扔出去反而AI能射空子彈后秒拾取抬手就是一槍？為何在設計上不能把丟棄和拾取放著不同的摁鍵，或者設置拾取槍械可以替代目前手持？
4.槍械顏色本身已經很不明顯了，居然還能被碎裂的玻璃和磚塊擋著，時常會因為記不得當時打死敵人手上的槍械在哪裡對著屏幕大眼瞪小眼。
5.彈射槍基本上就是個自殺武器，在這種比QTE還要緊張的時候哪還有時間考慮彈射角度問題？然後，偶然慌亂中對著呈直角的墻壁就是一發，然後？沒有然後了，摁R重啟吧
6.手雷，榴彈，rpg的爆炸範圍讓人汗顏，本人隔著一堵墻被炸死了，而AI一點事沒有？？我懷疑這範圍殺傷是為Ai專門打造的
7.可移動的尸體雖然是非常創新的設計，但很可惜的是這在無形間增加了卡門的概率，這算是遊戲難度的上調嗎？
8.準心有點太反人類，在還沒上手以前還是看著準心打比較好。其實這也是邁阿密熱線2養成的習慣，畢竟那準心，就是設計得讓你看不到。redie很貼心得把準心設計得特別顯眼。我通常還是看槍的朝向大致方向開槍，在這里反而不怎麼管用，最好還是把準心移動到可視範圍內比較好。畢竟匕首比槍械更反人類，只有正面劃到才算擊中判定，但這範圍也未免太可憐，需要【很長】一段時間適應
9.R鍵復活的鼠標朝向是固定的,但有些時候反而是可以移動的，這讓我摸不清這個機制在哪裡。假設你在遊戲開始的瞬間就要對正前方的敵人做出行動，而光標卻指著正後方。。。。。。沒錯，這就是我在Entrance的窘況
10.音樂個人感覺不喜，雖然並不阻礙遊戲進程，沒有足夠激昂和快速行動的感覺
11.缺失類rogue，至少在AI的槍械上沒有絲毫變化。這也註定了遊戲是有固定的套路，遊戲內容的豐富層面上大打折扣
但總而言之，確實是個好遊戲，非常有其潛力成為革新概念作品，希望開發商能繼續保持創作的熱情。
懷有一句話：真不知現在評測的水友們究竟有沒有通關，反正我正卡著呢，好難玩喔！

已通關。
不追求特別華麗的打法基本上陰著還是能過。我不是很懂這幕後分數到底是怎麼計算的，有時候記錄上都打了上萬分，再以最快速度combo過關反而只有幾千。很大一部分關卡的挑戰完成都是隨緣，AI有時這一聲沒引來，有時又引得來，實在我命由天不由我還有，我發現不只是碎石，連玻璃都跟我過不去。在犄角旮旯的拐角，被一片混沌的城市的玻璃捂住了出口
成就部分；
接近全完成，但還是有幾個看起來一頭霧水，應該說我根本看不懂完成條件的的部分
Artist應該是打翻所有油漆桶的意思吧。。。。然而我也沒仔細找到底有幾個又是在哪
360 No Scope打一穿門狙轉360后再打一狙這我都試了很多次旋轉跳躍我閉著眼總之還是沒成功
The real Juan是用左輪殺七個人，然而八連殺后什麼提示都沒跳出來
100%和Masterful的成就我覺得基本不可能完成，在Restaurant的挑戰是在出生點的房間殺13人，也就是說需要勾引全圖的敵人，然而左上角那個在櫃檯的兩個敵人是走不出來的，那要怎麼辦？再看看全球成就統計居然還有0.2％的人完成了，你在逗我嗎？
個人經驗；
1.AK是最有性價比最的槍，無論蹲點還是突襲，匣24發攻擊間隔短且常見，而且比起烏茲，ak一發一人，烏茲三發一人。和霰彈比起來，霰彈匣6發攻擊間隔大，範圍廣雖然是優點但沒辦法蹲點和埋伏，突擊也是一個苦難，這個遊戲的墻壁和門就是和霰彈過不去。
2.消音的手感很不錯
3.刀的CD大約一秒，迫不得已情況下蹲點還是很有用的，如果對方不是站位相對密集的話。在正面對刀的情況下如果沒法把我距離就依靠墻壁拐角和門搶個先機
4.R一次后射擊手感不適嘗試鼠標繞一圈
5.用烏茲和rpg對著幹還是很有用的
6.門和拐角不能抵擋爆炸傷害，有時候墻壁也不一定能抵擋爆炸傷害
7.AI會和玩家走直線最短路線，別想著空氣繞大圈能保持距離（但身體周圍繞小圈是可以無限繞）。盡量找大點的柱子繞，大概一圈就能讓AI喪失追蹤能力
8.AI會撿起最短距離的槍械但不會撿沒子彈的。撿的瞬間不會馬上射擊，可以通過向身後丟槍然後後退一段再突然向前刀戰
9.這個遊戲有既定路線。如果自己走的路太難打，不如換一條路線試試
補充：由於掛機太久的緣故，我的遊戲時間已經變成一天，實際上也大致9小時左右。steam計時數真是快的嚇人。。。。

Originally bought the game to support the devs, but ended up having an absolute ton of fun. Straight-forward mechanics and gameplay, but brought to life by fun and challenging level design, as well as a beautiful art style. My only criticism would be the lack of story elements.

Really nice and laid back game, 5/7.
So far everything has been pretty good and Im liking the game other then for a couple small problems. The main is that on desturctable walls the debris go over the ground and normalling this isnt a problem but on some levels in a small hall way its impossible top get by and you will get stuck in the rocks. Also it would be nice with some arena mode or some more content. Also most of the settings cant really be changed ingame which is annoying not like you need a lot for a game like this but still. The description really isnt joking about unforgiving aim and inhuman reactions. This game is hard but very rewarding when you finnaly pull somethines off. It gives off hotline miami feels but it feels very orginal still. 9/10
I bought this game trying to support the developers with no expectations in mind. Let me tell you, I'm blown away. What a fantastic game. Challenging and rewarding with a great Mastery concept for each level that makes you want to complete the level as fast and as accurate as possible.
That being said, it's not without flaws and bugs. The tutorial promps don't take into account any button mapping you've done, for example. On the topic of button mapping, you have to quit the game and restart it to access the button mapping. Lastly, while the art style is fantastic, I wish there was some music that better fit the game as the current soundtrack feels a bit generic and repetitive. The plus side is that I have not noticed any issues that hamper gameplay.
Overall, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives here. I just hope the developers continue to support the game as it has a ton of potential.
Als Indie Entwickler (Dead Age, Grotesque Tactics, Holy Avatar) spiele ich auch gerne andere Indie Spiele. Meine Meinung ist aber neutral und ich kenne die (deutschen) Entwickler nicht.
Redie bringt das Feeling von Hotline Miami tatsächlich sehr gut rüber.
Das Spiel beschränkt sich dabei auf eine Reihe an Levels mit Herausforderungen und verzichtet auf eine Storyline.
Daher geht ein bisschen Atmosphäre flöten, allerdings muss man wirklich ein großes Lob an das Kampfgeschehen geben, denn hier hab ich als Hotline Miami Fan kaum etwas zu meckern. Skill ist wichtig, Zufall spielt hier nur eine geringe Rolle.
Auch die Details stimmen, z.b. die klirrenden Fenster, wie das Blut fliegt , viele Physikobjekte, Granatenexplosionen mit Kettenreaktionen, die unterschiedlichen Schusswaffen die sehr cool wirken und auch die KI ist ordentlich und reagiert ähnlich schnell und erbarmungslos.
Wer also noch skeptisch bei dem Titel ist. Meiner Meinung nach könnt ihr zugreifen, es macht eine Menge Spaß. Der Preis ist super dafür.
Ich bereue kein Stück hier 10 Euro reingesteckt zu haben! Dieser Rätselshooter mit Topdown-Perspektive stellt euch vor harte Level, in denen ihr meistens mit einem Schuss sterbt. Das Spiel kommt mit einer netten, aber leider nur leicht zerstörbaren Umgebung, die das ganze besser aussehen lässt. Zudem hat es eine Comicoptik, die mich leicht an kleine andere Schätze wie "Running with Rifles" oder "12 is better than 6" errinert.
Wenn euch diese Sachen gefallen spielt die Demo, wenn euch die Demo gefällt kauft das Spiel!
Very cool! Having a lot of fun with this game, the mastery challengements make it VERY hard. Even without the mastery some of the levels take a couple dozen tries to make it though.

This game is awesome! Only played an hour but this game is pretty well made. Worth the 10 bucks so far! Had 3 friends around me saying "This level looks easy!", needless to say they took that back. Love the challenge system too! All round at least an 8.5 for me. If not higher.
Played it briefly, enjoyed it. Like Hotline Miami like Doom is like Call of Duty.

Довольно забавная игра! Интересные звуки, не режут ухо. Уровни сложные, но для того чтоб начать заново, нужно нажать всего одну кнопку "R" и моментально начинаем заново. Since Hotline Miami 2 this is finally a new top down shooter which deserves to get tested. I played the beta for a while and couldn't wait to get the complete game. Today I received an email from steam that Redie has been released. The wait is over. And what the developers have produced is awesome. The graphic is nice for a top down shooter and the physic of the flying boxes, dead bodies and explosions is really well thought. It is a simple game which is also challenging. The global leaderboard is a nice idea to get addicted what already happened to me.
It's simple but challenging. If you want to get a good score you need perfect aim and fast reactions.
I had a lot of fun, so if anyone likes fast and challenging gameplay, give it a try.
