The game is pretty good, all about developing your cult. Although you don't create your own cult in skirmish mode/Holy Wars where you only control the cult of the main character, Elion. There is no building structures like most RTS games do, you just convert people into followers. The only way to add buildings to your base is by capturing one. Each one had upgrades to make your units fight harder like the Purifier's blessed shot. But I wished there are upgrades that makes your units impervious to damage. Speaking of that, the fanatics unit always die easily. The campaign was okay until Mission 6, that mission is impossible to complete.
♥♥♥♥, I can't even count how many times i lost my mind playing this, it's not a game about a prophet, it's about the masochist you become by playing it... And I think I became one after finish this game,
because even though you could whip yourself while going through it, I liked the concept of it and that was enough to get over the pain caused by the clunky mechanics and the average story
I recommend it only to those whose faith is strong enough to bear this pain

This is one of those moments I assume the Steam Playtime is trolling me, since i'm pretty sure i've played more then 5 hours of this, anywho.
RE-LEGION - A Cyberpunk Cult RTS where you are the Prophet, and must usher in a new age!
Surprisingly fun, I actually started looking for this game after finding a Starcraft 2 map that used a similar religion concept and believed that it had to have come from somewhere, and low and behold, found this.
It plays, it works. The plot is interesting but for some reason I feel like I'm missing 50% of the story somewhere, I'm just not sure where.
You'r'e kinda stuck with the main 'Legion' Cult, unable to take control or play as any other cults, but its not honestly like their units are 100% unique, as you gain access to them as well.
The ability to upgrade and 'expand' your cult with points gained by playing the game is an interesting concept, specially since it alters how you play it, issue is theres no way to reset your points so you'll have to do a 2nd run to get all the options you didn't get, and maybe a 3rd.
All in all, I enjoyed playing RE-LEGION, a Religious Cyberpunk RTS. I found that the game tends to be somewhat Unit spammy but thats nothing new, all Religious wars are just Zealot Rushes.

Есть кампания и PvE псевдо-мультиплеер. В сингле очень не хватает тактической паузы, чтоб успевать применять способности бойцов. Геймплей подробно описывать не буду, много других обзоров. Игра сыровата и доделывать её явно не будут. Берите на свой страх и риск. Мне понравилась.
This is the studio's only attempt at an RTS, they're much more adept with their turn-based titles. It's not bad in any particular measure, but never gets above an average experience. The thing that lets it down fully though is it's extremely poor optimization, with significant slowdown during large fights and a high likelihood that framerate related glitches will happen. Not to mention, there is no formation system, so units will always move as a gigantic blob fighting each other for spots instead of giving each other room. This almost always leads to a column stepping one after another into combat and causes numerous pathfinding issues. Formations have been an RTS standard from the start, it's just a very basic, "Pathfind to the spot you would be if the cursor was the middle of your group," that is included by default most of the time.

it's a back RTS game with an interesting premise and an attempt at some different game mechanics, that falls flat and is just a slog and frustration to play.
from playing the game, it feels more like someone looked at rts games and wanted to replicate it, but only created the idea of an rts, without the polish or solid execution.
Graphically it looks fine, it has a cyberpunk aesthetic and is rather basic, biggest issue is that the units sometimes don't stand out from eachother enough, so you mistake them for another unit type.
it's poorly optimized and will run sluggishly whenever tons of units are on the screen, which will happen quite a lot, as the most common combat seems to be a blob, or that your units walk in a congo line.
soundtrack is decent at least, but the sfx gets repetitive as well as the voice lines.
the gameplay is terrible and you'll be incredibly frustrated by the AI and the lack of options you have to control them, not to mention that the pathfinding a lot of times is terrible.
while the units have interesting mechanics and suit different situations, they more often than not will not utilize their skills and will charge the enemy to stand in front of them.
For example a ranged unit will quite often run up to a melee unit, to stand right in front of him, before shooting him.
I could only recommend this if you REALLY are desperate for "unique" rts games, otherwise, skip this one.

It reminded me by spirit, games like sacrifice or populous, but at a little scale.
Playing the "Prophet" in a dystopic world, sending zealots to a certain death they are eager to go for you is ... particular.
The questions regarding religions are interesting.
But this game is not that long. i regret this point.

Lo destacado de Re-Legion es sin duda su premisa. ¿Quién iba a pensar que convertirse en el profeta de una ciudad ciberpunk podría ser tan divertido... a veces? Construyes tu culto desde cero, reclutando todo tipo de almas perdidas - desde abuelitas hasta feroces hackers. Es como ser un influencer, pero con más lavado de cerebro y menos selfies.
Los gráficos tienen sus momentos estelares con una paleta de colores que bien podría pasar por un test de daltonismo neon, bastante acorde con la estética ciberpunk que intentan emular. Además, el diseño del ambiente urbano no está nada mal, te hace sentir que realmente estás en un futuro distópico donde probablemente también se extinguió el buen gusto.

Mientras que la idea del juego suena genial en papel, la ejecución resulta tan fallida como intentar imprimir dicho papel con una impresora sin tinta. La jugabilidad puede volverse monótona más rápido que un sermón en lunes por la mañana, con una IA que a veces parece más perdida que tus fieles.
La optimización también es un pecado mortal aquí. ¿Es que acaso los desarrolladores intentaban realizar exorcismos en las configuraciones del sistema? Y ni hablemos de las voces... algunas son tan desinspiradas que te harán desear haber reclutado a un mudo.

Really want to like this game - it has awesome premise and it's an RTS. Unfortunately it kinda underdelivers in most attractive aspects - plot, world design and atmosphere, there is lot of neon and stuff, but cyberpunk feeling is not there, it is just like a cosmetic skin for mediocre RTS with story idea wasted by writing. Other aspects are even worse - gameplay feels very bothersome and clunky, more like a mobile rts\adventure\rpg hybrid that's light on all of the above. Graphics are average with not great design. Audio is probably the only thing that's less of an issue and just being ok.

I have mixed feelings about this game, but each one is negative. It reminds me of Bullfrog's Syndicate, with some RTS elements added in. But it is not near as good as Syndicate (a 1993 game...), and the overall experience is b(l)a(n)d, with a messy UI and an unpolished and repetitive gameplay. Also, it's too pinky for my taste. Was pink color used in the '90' Syndicate games? Not by any chance. Think about it.

Remember when back in the days AAA games were creative? Not trying to say that modern games are bad or something, it's just... You know. With much bigger money involved companies started to take less risks. Which led to... K, let's just admit it – we know exactly what we'll get from yet another [b]SONY[/b]'s or [b]Ubisoft[/b]'s open world game long before we start playing. Back in the days, with much more freedom, developers used to stick with their imagination, not the market and publisher's bull. And some companies? They sure knew how to surprise us.
One of such companies was [b]Bullfrog Productions[/b]. Making god simulators, mixing things like real-time strategy and first-person shooter genres, letting us play as a bad guy long before it became mainstream, etc. No idea why bullfrog on their logo was pictured inside the box. They did their very best to think outside one, thanks to which most of their games were fresh and memorable. One of such games was [b]Syndicate[/b]. No, not the [b]2012[/b] game from creators of [b]Enclave[/b] and [b]Chronicles of Riddick[/b]. The original. Which was a real-time tactical game in a juicy cyberpunk setting, where we controlled one of the heavily armed crime syndicates and confronted not only the police forces ([i]f*ck the police comin' straight from the underground~ [/i]🎵), but the other syndicates too. Why am I telling you all that? Well, because what we've got here is a nod to good ol' [b]Syndicate[/b]. And it becomes obvious since the very first minutes.
Like [b]Syndicate[/b], [b]Re-Legion[/b] takes place in a cyberpunk setting. Except instead of criminal syndicates, we've got... religious cult. Got it? Got it? Religion? [b][i]Re-Legion[/i][/b]? I know, I know, it's stupid. I'll return to that later. For now let's just keep in mind that we've got ourselves [b]Syndicate[/b]-like game about some futuristic cults. And you know what? It's the very best thing about this game. I mean, come on! Think about it. Some fanatics who praise augmentations because they think those come from God? Maybe it's just me and my weird hobbies (studying religions is one of those) but personally, I find all that [i]extremely[/i] hilarious. Our main character here is [b]Elion[/b] (from [b]El Elyon[/b], [b]Highest of Gods[/b]?), who'll go around city and convert citizens into his religion because why the heck not. Right?
If your first thought was [b]Age of Empires[/b], you're correct. A lot of wololoing (it's a word now) involved in the process. You can convert your opponents, while your opponents can convert your guys. Not only people, actually, buildings too. That's pretty much the entire gameplay here. You enter the map and [i]Wololo, wololo! Ayo-yoyo!~[/i] Like I said, though, it's not [b]Age of Empires[/b] this game was really inspired by but [b]Syndicate[/b]. Think [b]Syndicate[/b] with a group led by an [b]Age of Empires[/b]' priest. That'll be it. Doesn't sound bad, right? If something, it sounds rather cool, even though yeah, all that wololo stuff can get rather messy. Still, it [i]does[/i] sound good. So, what's with the thumb down you may ask?
Well, unfortunately, [b]Re-Legion[/b] is one of those projects that didn't really turn dreams into reality. Let me quote [b]Sir Terry[/b] here: “[i]Everyone has thousands of ideas, all the damn time. Some are terrible, most mediocre, a few amazing. But we have to write them down or they don’t count for anything.[/i]” Unfortunately to us, [b]Re-Legion[/b] is another one of those ideas that just kept being one. Without becoming a thing. I mean, when it's about making a good game? Concept alone just isn't enough. A good game needs blood and bones. Things that make it interesting to [i]play[/i]. Does [b]Re-Legion[/b] has that? [i]Nope.[/i]
First of all, this game is short. Aside from skirmish mode called [b]Holy Wars[/b] (which won't add much playtime thanks for being too dumb and too limited), we've got only [b]9[/b] missions. How many missions PC version of the original [b]Syndicate[/b] had? It had [b]50[/b]. In [b]19[/b]-freakin'-[b]93[/b]. [b]Re-Legion[/b] (that came out [b]26[/b] years later) has only [b]9[/b]. [i]Ba-dum-tsss...[/i] And no, those are not big and complicated missions you may expect from [b]2019[/b] game. Those are just tiny little maps with some very basic goals. OK, OK, [b]Syndicate[/b] didn't get a lot of mission variety either. Usually we were supposed to either capture somebody or eliminate baddies. AKA those who aren't, well, us. [i]But[/i].
The original [b]Syndicate[/b] had sh*t. You know. [i]The equipment[/i]. Portable medkits, access cards, energy shields (that were still vulnerable to slow blades... or was that another franchise?), time bombs, scanners... It even had so-called persuadertrons, which, I think, may have given [b]Re-Legion[/b]'s creators their wololo idea. Now, what about our game here? Well, it doesn't need any persuadertrons, that much is clear, [i]but come on![/i] It has nothing! [i]Nothing![/i] Instead, we've got [b]StarCraft[/b]-like [b]UI[/b] (which feels ancient BTW) and some [b]StarCraft[/b]-like upgrades. Or [b]WarCraft III[/b] if you want, since [b]Elion[/b] can unlock his own abilities (called dogmas). The abilities thing is rather funny, since you can select your own religion and customize it the way you want but again, we're very limited in our actions and the smell of mold in unbearable.
Talking 'bout [b]StarCraft[/b] BTW. [b]Kerrigan[/b] called and said [b]Ice Code Games[/b] are pigs. Why? Well, because of just how much copy / pasted design we've got here. Naturally, we've got [b]StarCraft[/b], but honestly, [b]Ice Code[/b] copied a lot of retro stuff. [b]Clive Barker[/b]'s [b]Hellraiser[/b], [b]Star Wars[/b]... Even the final “boss” here is [b]Mr. Big[/b] from [b]1988 Williams[/b]' arcade game [b]NARC[/b] (remember that one? You can actually see kids playing it in [b]1990 Ninja Turtles[/b] movie). He's not called that in [b]Re-Legion[/b], of course. He's called [b]Mr. Rizen[/b]. * Sigh * Yeah. It's [i]that[/i] bad.
But maybe, [i]just maybe[/i], this game has one of those groundbreaking stories? You know. Those tiny little indie games that aren't really that great gameplay-wise, yet blow your mind with what they have to offer with storytelling? Still no. [b]Ice Code Games[/b] made one the most common mistakes out there – their writers didn't take themselves seriously enough. In a way, it's like starting a relationship when you're a kid. You don't have enough experience with that kind of stuff, so you just make stupid jokes with no apparent reason. Writers can be like that too. And with [b]Re-Legion[/b] being the first experience in video game writing for all three [b]Ice Code[/b] writers... Let's just say the result here is something to be expected. The best thing about story is that we've got choices. At certain points we can choose faith of some characters / groups. Yet with no depth at all and no complicated story, it doesn't feel satisfying enough. And yes, jokes. Those stupid, stupid jokes... one of which is this game's title.
So, what's in the conclusion? In conclusion, I must say that [b]Re-Legion[/b] just... doesn't worth your time. Can't say it's completely unplayable or broken (even though yes, some technical difficulties did happen to me). You got it? You sure can spend some time with it. It just doesn't worth it. It's an interesting attempt but mostly for those who are interested in those. The attempts I mean. If you want proper product? With decent gameplay and length? Keep looking. This here is all about the idea. The idea that never became a thing. Would I like it to? Sure. I would like a lot of things. And I sure have a lot of ideas. Unfortunately, like I already said, having a solid idea is one thing. Turning it into something real? The whole different challenge. The one that [b]Ice Code Games[/b] failed. Dixi.

Simple not often seen genre of game for "obvious" reasons, honestly haven't finished it but it's been really fun and simple to learn.
Just not very good- not a very good RTS, not a very good story, not a really good message, its all a bit muddled unfortunately. Look at some concept art and you'll get the best aspects of the game!
I have to say I totally loved this game. It inspired a whole world I am creating. I have nothing but love for this game. I recommend it whole heartedly.

the concept is interesting and i had fun but the AI routing and some level design are terrible
I like it fine before but it's even better now. The atmosphere and rather unique gameplay environment was right up my alley and the concept and setting are extremely great. the frequent updates and shift and attempt to listen to feedback and have brought much improvement. The game has great potential to be a major RTS contender and they do seem to be heading that way. I'm having a lot of fun playing and suffered no tech issues to speak of so far. I think they've squashed a lot of the bugs and problems that hindered the launch. The cult setup is a great one. Whilst you don't get much control in its creation, ideology, (hopefully more control in the future, you do get optional moral choices you can find that help shape its identity, as well as the wider story critique of ideology groups. Overall, it's more thematic than mechanical but immersion is in the eye of the beholder.
Recommended if you're looking for something a bit more unique than the typical rehash RTS. and seems to only be getting better.
Solid concept, disappointing execution.
The core gameplay loop of gathering your forces, and pushing onto the next node to capture feels rather dull. There are some improvements that could be made to have things be less tedious (ex: allow a rally point for new followers). Autosave given the length of missions and the obvious save points (taking over a node) would have been appreciated.
The difficulty is also pretty low several missions in once you've learned the basics and got the handle of things, so difficulty options would be nice but that'd require the AI to be anything other than a potato.
My couple hours was enjoyable (I do like trying out new systems, so the follower recruitment mechanic was enjoyable and reminiscent of Populous: The Beginning), but it's just going to get grindy to finish the entire game, and the storyline isn't there to real me in and keep me playing.

不過這遊戲對於我個人有個非常非常非常嚴重的致命傷.......字體太小了，都全螢幕狀態，看字體依舊很吃力，為了眼睛好，就不推薦了。
这游戏可以讲是最差游戏之一，Bug多，优化差，越玩越卡，而且作为即时战略游戏居然会出现卡位置、人物难选中这种情况。

1- Le unità spesso fanno girotondo come un cane che si insegue la coda
2- Le unità restano bloccate in elemetni di scenario
3- Le skill degli eroi a volte (nonostante non siano in CD e si abbia la fede necessaria a lanciarle) s'impallano e non si attivano, e già normalmente sono macchinose
4- Non è possibile utilizzare formazioni. Capita troppo spesso che gli healer vadano automaticamente in prima linea mentre i frontliner restano bloccati in seconda linea
5- Le funzioni delle unità che vengono gestite dalla AI fanno pena
...Insomma un po troppi difetti per un gioco strategico rendendolo molto meno tattico rispetto altri titoli del medesimo genere.

Third mission sees you do a timed survival that is a joke, then u are to defeat enemy but are immediatley overwhelmed due to enemies attacking with deathless minions, ai pathing is horrible. real shame story is nice but game is tuned to punish with no real rewards. will be watching story on youtube and uninstalling. great story terrible game design.

Весьма атмосферная игра. Озвучка и музыка зачет. Гемплей нормальный для стратегии в реальном времени. Не сложная, нужно просто понять как играть.
Есть несколько причин почему может быть малый процент достижений в общем:
Первое впечатление от игры отталкивает, но пройдя 2-3 миссии и вникнув в суть, хорошо идет.
И просто попробовав поискать эту игру в интернете кидает куда угодно но не на нее.
Заключение:
Плюс хорошая атмосфера, музыка и озвучка. Ну и выбор собственно предоставляется время от времени и сюжетные повороты.
Минус только как в остальных стратегиях, подготовка надоедает перед битвой, то есть развитие добычи ресурсов, не рекомендую турелями пытатся затащить они баганые.

oh boy ooof ok i love rts game probably more then half my library is rts games but this is just what the ♥♥♥♥ did you do and how did you make it this bad now ive seen many a people who have gotten stuck on some of the mission which i was able to pass by brute forcing them i.e have your leader respawn through the use of civs and convert every single acendent one that gets sent to me through the ai just... i hate to say this but SPAMMING THERE STRONGEST UNIT until you deny them the ability to do so i.e taking out money faith the building that lets them make the unit and for the love of god if thats not lazy programming i don't know what is now as far as how the game functions jesus ive lowered every possible setting to one keep my frames up didn't help and 2 so my sound doesn't bug out again didn't help i don't know what engine was used to make this but FIND A NEW ENGINE oh and pro tip i don't know one rts game not one that has HIDDEN GAME OVER TIMERS IN THEM spoiler for anyone who hasn't gotten to the point where you have to fight your friend and end his uprising but you can fail that mission if you take to long BUT they don't tell you that so look my biggest take away from this is that this is a more then laughable excuse for an rts game please take it from me who has and probably still forcing myself to play this thing look else where find a mod for your favourite rts or something cause this is not at all worth the bloody money especially when it seems after looking through some of the discussions of devs and players fighting each other in a respectful to non respectful way oh and final note there is no difficult setting as ive seen many people ask as quoted by the devs "WE'VE TAILORED IT TO A SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE" there is more then one type of player in the world you cannot expect someone to just play your way cause you set it as such there should always be that option for people regardless of there play style
Un bon petit RTS que je recommande mais cependant sachez ceci le jeu souffre encore de certain bug , freeze et bug de sauvegarde.
La campagne peut se faire en max (10h) voir encore plus rapidement si vous gérez bien ,c'était pas mon cas.
Elle est assez sympa bien que c'est pas non plus ouf nv scénario mais l'ambiance du jeu est sympa pareil pour la musique seul petite déception pour moi le nombre d'unité car il y a que 2 faction.
En conclusion un jeu que je recommande a 15 euros max pour une dizaine d'heure de jeu.

Hah... honestly I wanted to give that game a thump up.
And I wanted to finish the game before I write a review.
But for f*ck sake the optimization is really really bad... and the devs abandoned that game.
I played this game with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x/ GTX 1080/ 2x8 GB GSkill Trident Z/ 1 TB Samsung QVO SSD
and the game struggles in the second mission to hold 60 FPS and in mission 3 (I´m currently at this point) I get under 30 FPS, when there are more than 50 people on screen (and 50 is not much :P)
No matter which graphics you use... other people have an I9 and RTX 2080TI and get same FPS
But there is still much good to talk about:
+unique setting... you play in an distopian cyberpunk city and rebuild your own cult as the prophet
+clever ressource gathering... you need hackers to get crypto (money) and worshipers to get faith (mana)
but hackers can also be used to build turrets and stuff and worshipers can heal your soldiers
+good story (so far)
+unique way to get new soldiers... you need to convert citizens, which walk in the city around to your cult
that can be done with your prophet or preachers... the new convertet people can changed to melee dudes/
preachers/ distant fighters or hackers due preying
+okay graphics... from distant they look pretty good, but if you zoom in (even on ultra) they look blurry
you see... there are much good points in my opinion which make this game good and fun!
but the poor optimization destroys EVERYTHING for me :/
enjoyable concept and premise ruined by buggy and stupid AI that either gets stuck by random pathing issues or a main character that's a healer just deciding to walk past all your units and into the enemies back line to get herself killed and make you repeat the entire mission if you weren't saving after every mouse click
An RTS game that's played more for the plot than the Faps-Per-Second git-gud-son experience.
Truly wonderful aesthetic, lore, and design. The drapes over the self-whipping muscle mens' faces is a really nice touch. This 'world' would have made for a really cool sandbox fallout type experience.
As a gamer that isn't too deep into RTS's, this one's on the easier side.
Some units such as the kamikaze bombers are incredibly hard to use because the AI will actively pick them off from afar.
Nice quick strategy game focused on a leader leading army and simple managment of resources. Simple .. nice to look at and quick and fun for short quick games once upon a time where you have enought of other games.and you want to try something else that will not overwhelme you with info and tasks and huge maps and complicated designs and so on.

it is an awesome game to play
Gave it several chances, really wanted to like it and enjoy a good RTS. Several bugs didn't get in my way at first, and even the overwhelming rate that the enemies would never stop getting powerful units to mass against me while I was massively unable to keep up, I fought against, as I like pitched battles occasionally.
Then the two combined and I got my entire army wiped by 3 of their mid-tier units while the music and unit voices blurred and repeated on top of each other.
Can't recommend due to bugs and balance issues.
Terrible game, difficult in the bad way (unrewarding, ai is spamming units to no end, campaign is boring and filled with bugs), buggy to no end especially with units movement where they get stuck on EVERY SINGLE THING ON MAP so they keep walking in place. One achievement is IMPOSSIBLE to get and belive me i spent over 6 hours trying to find urinating civilians to convert them throughout WHOLE CAMPAIGN and found NONE. Developers threw out this game in a messy state and do not do anything to fix it at all, it's purely singleplayer so don't expect to play it even 1/3rd of my time without feeling tired to no end.
I personally liked the game, even if it has a lot of flaws (the morality choices don't matter much, no multiplayer, etc.).
But most of the bugs and problems of the sort I heard in the negative reviews aren't there anymore, or at least I never had any problem with the game. The difficulty, while no changeable in the campaign (you can change it in skirmishes) offers a good spike as you progress through the missions. I heard some people complain about the graphics, but since when do we care about how good units look in RTS?
As for the story... it's a RTS story, what can I say? Interesting ideas and plot, but god I wished they had been used better elsewhere or more developed.
For its price, it wasn't bad. I'd recommend it.
So 2 problems.
1. While the lore/premise is interesting, at the end of the day you're just walking up to units and converting them instead of soldiers getting created out of a building. The premise is new, but it's an RTS game like anything else.
2. Bug-filled. The game crashed before getting one hour in. It's not mindblowingly fun enough to deal with stuff like that.

Unfortunately this isn't even close the type of games i usually play so i stopped playing it. But it seems to be very cool, if it would be a FPS/Third person experience i'd definitely buy it again because the story seems to be really cool. I can only recommend it to people looking for this kinda game (overview camera).

As much as I was enjoying it, there was a serious bug where I built turrets that wouldn't actually appear. Worse than that, when I reloaded a saved game, the turrets weren't there but the hackers that built them couldn't build 'new' ones.
Even though I had reached my follower limit (72) I could only count 50.
I'd give it 4/10 because it was fun but even the game's bug report wouldn't work!!

Do you want to play an RTS game that tries everything in its power to make life difficult for you, to be unintuitive, not fun and just overall terrible? Then, congratulations, you can play this hot piece of garbage.
Story:
You're some sort of newly converted preacher guy who wants to save the world. You suddenly got some powers. You fight bad corporations and other clans, who suddenly also believe in some God, just a different one, but of course your God is the only true God, even though the other clan has 10 times your followers. Makes sense? Yes? Voice acting is, as to be expected, terrible, the lines are terrible, the script is terrible. Pretty much everything, apart from the intro, which actually got me into the mood for this game.
Graphics are up next:
The lighting is actually pretty moody and captures the whole Cyberpunk atmosphere, the overall graphics and animations though are from a game that came out in 2009 and not 2019. Now, graphics aren't everything, BUT you can have minimalistic graphics that still look good AND don't make the game perform like hot garbage even on the LOWEST settings with a very powerful machine. Seriously, the optimization is non-existant. The game stutters like ♥♥♥♥ whenever a few units are on the screen, which is basically every time.
Gameplay:
Alright, you have a game that doesn't sound, feel or look great, but maybe the gameplay is stellar? Wrong again ... the core principle of this game is that (apparently) it all takes place on one giant, ever expanding map throughout the 9 mission campaign. I've played until mission 4 and just didn't want to punish myself anymore. It starts off interesting enough. You have your core group of people, your prophet and 2 or 3 followers. Your prophet needs to convert people to his cause, later on he can do "sermons" to convert more people (in a very small, very annoying radius that never let's you get the people you want) and train those people to become converters themselves. Interesting. You can also train your followers to become several types of fighters, hackers, worshippers, healers, etc.
Hackers fulfill several roles: They "hack" money from the one bank building you get and they also build your only defensive buildings in the game, as well as drones that can spot cloaked targets. Fine enough I thought. Until I realized that EVERY hacker could only ever build ONE tower ... and those towers do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. So, what you're doing is you're selecting every hacker individually to see whether or not he can actually build such a tower (have fun finding that out) before he becomes essentially useless, since he's got no worthwhile combat abilities and sooner or later you won't have any more mining capabilities in your bank.
Your worshippers heal your troops and "farm" faith, the other resource in the game. There is no difference between the two resources. They're just interchangeable numbers you need to make more troops.
All of this is already finnicky enough, and man, I've recently played through C&C 1 + 2 again. Those games, even "remastered" are old as hell by now and WAY better and more user friendly than this.
The minimap is a joke. It doesn't even show you important buildings, like your main base, your bank, your temple, etc. And it's not like you can build those yourself, they are at fixed points on the map, leaving you wide open to enemy attacks.
The overpowered AI will just throw ♥♥♥♥ at you until you either get crushed in one fell swoop or bleed out slowly. As a "normal" human being I just can't keep up with it (no difficulty settings). It can use, if it wants to, each unit perfectly, shielding it from damage for instance, lining up shots, picking off your valuable units, attacking you from multiple sides with a never ending stream of units, until one of your "precious" VIPs is dead and you lose the mission and have to load (very slowly) an older save file. You can't build suitable defenses nor forward bases, you can't easily resupply in the field, even with your prophet (what's 4 or 5 units against the never ending horde?). Micro management is exceedingly difficult, since you often control 50+ units to even have a remote chance of success...
In mission 4 I had a fully developed temple and bank, I could not in all honesty make more money ... yet I was unable to defend both sides of my base quickly enough with enough units to keep the enemy at bay, since my own units are exceedingly stupid, yes, even suicidal. The one time I did venture out, I met the enemy's FIRST line of defense and got my ass handed to me. I broke it, but lost so many units in the process that I could barely hold on.
This is how you improve the game:
- The script is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, so whatever
- You create an actually useful minimap that shows actual information
- You change the building, recruitment and training system. There is no reason for my followers to gather outside the base. It makes more sense to actually be able to build fortified outposts at least that you can supply with troops to build defenses, etc. You could even have propaganda towers to weaken the enemy resolve, all the good stuff.
- You make battles "slower" and reduce unit counts to either manageable levels, or you make important abilities, like the monk's shield, auto cast when appropriate... and make them less powerful. Actual base building would be nice. I do like the progressive map though.
- You fix the damn performance issues.
- You fix the damn path finding issues.
- You fix the damn AI.
Since none of that is going to happen: Skip this game. I paid 1 buck for it and still feel robbed.
I'm gonna give it a thumb up even though it lacks and the development team forgot quickly about the game and it still feels unfinished.
The game itself is pretty okay, not great, not terrible. It would have had a huge potential but this is more of a marketing failure rather then a development one.
The Good:
- Love the theme and the idea behind it;
- One of the few true RTS games that was released in the last 5-10 years (send help)
- Beautiful sound design;
- Beautiful unit and environment design;
The Bad:
- The pathfinding is kinda bad, you will micro more than you should for situation where there shouldn't be any micro what so ever (sending a stack across the map, or collecting resources)
- The maps are unbalanced (where one enemy gets bottlenecked or doesn't have buildings around him)
- No multiplayer (very sad);

Mission 4 pretty much ruined the game for me, was way too punishing for the little you were given to work with, not in like a fun Dark Souls way where its possible but challenging, but in a way where its pretty much impossible for most players (looking at the achievements you can see less than 10% cleared this mission)
Best part in this SECT is when i send some Fellow Boomers to hell...... like,

Buen juego de estrategia bastante entretenido. Eres el lider de una Secta y tendrás que persuadir a los ciudadanos convirtiendolos en tus seguidores.
La mecanica es bastante sencilla pero adictiva. Tendras tu heroe y algunos mas durante las primeras misiones de la campaña. Las primeras partidas te enseñaran las mecanicas del juego como por ejemplo que tu templo es el edificio principal y no puede ser destruido. Hay dos monedas en el juego, el dinero y la fe. Ambas se recolectan en sus edificios correspondientes y con los tipos de unidades necesarias. Por ejemplo, los criptoguerreros se dedican a las monedas y las healers a parte de curar, las que quieras y necesites las usaras para ganar fe.
Las unidades siempre se consiguen de la misma forma. Es decir, veras humanos neutrales y tendras que persuadirles para que se unan a tu secta. ¿Como? Con el personaje principal y con un tipo de unidad que solo hace eso, de manera automatica convencer a los ciudadanos neutrales. Lo ideal es colocarse en las paradas de metro ya que cada ciertos segundos aparecen muchos mas.
¿Como consigues mejorar tu ejercito? Una vez que consigues persuadir a los ciudadanos neutrales, esos de manera automatica iran a tu templo a rezar. Estaran ahi esperando a que los conviertas ya definitivamente en las muchas unidades distintas que hay entre cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia.
Por otro lado, se parece a Company of heroes o Warhammer 40k. Vas conquistando territorios y asi podras tener mas poblacion e incluso algunos edificios te daran la posibilidad de tener otras unidades mas fuertes. Todas las unidades te piden criptomonedas, fe o ambas.
Una campaña de nueve niveles y un modo escaramuza te espera. Recomendado 100%
To sum it up the conept is great, however execution sucks. The game have a lot of bugs, crashes a lot especialy at last mission, which is hell [spoiler] because it's the timed defense mission [/spoiler]. Pathfinding is awful.
Even as i like what this game thrived to be, I just can't recommend it.

Great atmos in style of syndicate with extra neon but gameplay too repetitive and units act like blobs. Low resolution graphics in the guise of old school RTS. Too much clunky micro management whilst in combat.
Disjointed gameplay and poor AI also handicap this. Especially path finding , combat and absence of unit stance settings .
Not fun enough to want complete campaign (got half way) and no difficulty settings even on skirmish they seem nominal. Its a game it should be fun.

Просто отвратительно. Очень унылая игра, обрати толпу, закидай ненавистников мясным фаршем из фанатиков. Игра по интерфейсу, графике и тупым ИИ ощущается как игры из 2000 года, только тогда это было нормально, но на дворе 2019 уже. Одообразный неон, который режет глаза отдельная тема.
2 бага, за 20 минут.
1. Переключение языка. На какой не переключи, язык изменится на нужный, но в заглавии будет английский.
2. Загрузка первого уровня и краш игры.
Эта RTS мимо, хорошо что за бесплатно...
Отдельный + за киберпанковую антиутопию.

Game is enjoyable, but holy f*ck the save system wtf guys? A short enjoyable game with no autosave on by default? You have to manually save and no option to delete saves so I have a library of saves.... auto save needs to be added per objective. Extremely frustrating and hated having get to the end lose one of the heroes and have to start the mission all over. and there aren't that many missions. Made a short and sweet campaign an extreme pain. Could really use a x2 speed option.

Trzeba przyznać, że gra nie robi miażdżącego wrażenia, aczkolwiek sama rozgrywka potrafi wciągnąć gracza na długo – to dobra zabawa, którą warto się zainteresować.

Powiem szczerze, że jestem pozytywnie zaskoczony powyższym tytułem, nie jest to super produkcja z najwyższej półki, aczkolwiek prezentuje się naprawdę dobrze i to na wielu płaszczyznach – fabuła, oprawa graficzna, muzyka czy sama rozgrywka a co za tym idzie zabawa, stoi na dobrym poziomie.
Nie będę również ukrywać że w czasie mojej zabawy, z niewiadomych powodów przychodziły mi się na myśl dwie podobne klasyczne produkcie jak Syndicate (1993) czy Syndicate Wars, dobre gry godne polecenia – odczuwalnie to one stanowiły inspiracje do powstania powyższego tytułu, choć mogę się mylić.
Ciekawa fabuła gry, która przenosi gracza w odległą przyszłość w której to potężne korporacje przejęły kontrolę nad owym światem – świat stał się ciemnym i mrocznym miejscem dla jej mieszkańców.
W tym samym czasie powstają różnego rodzaju cyber-frakcje religijne szerzące wizję, wolnego świata pozbawionego okowów korporacyjnej dominacji i kontroli.

Jedną z tych cyber-frakcji poprowadzi sam gracz, walcząc z przeciwnikiem na danym terenie, przejmując kontrole nad kolejno poszczególnymi dystryktami, obiektami mającymi ogromne znaczenie na rozwój naszej frakcji, rozszerzając tym samym jej wpływy – to w końcu gra z kategorii strategii, wiec szkielet rozgrywki nie powinien nikogo zdziwić.
Co ciekawe w trakcie zabawy gracz niejednokrotnie stanie przed trudnymi decyzjami mającymi ogromny wpływ na fabułę, dalszą rozgrywkę w której będziemy brać udział – element, który dodatkowo urozmaica całą zabawę, daje większy wybór graczowi jak powinny się potoczyć jego dalsze działania.
Sama rozgrywka ma „teoretycznie” prosty przebieg, rekrutujemy (nawracamy), jak również przeszkalamy naszych wyzwolonych obywateli spod korporacyjnego mgiełku – wykorzystujemy ich tak by stopniowo przejmować kolejne dystrykty lokalizacji w której się znajdujemy. W tym kluczowe budowle, generujące wiarę i walutę niezbędną do rozwoju danej frakcji. W późniejszym czasie pozwalając graczowi na ukształtowanie własnej armii, awansując wiernych do odpowiednich lub obecnie potrzebnych jednostek o zmienionej charakterystyce i przeznaczeniu.
Oprawa audio-wizualna stoi na dobrym poziomie, można realnie poczuć klimat cyberpunkowego, futurystycznego świata gry – co robi dobre wrażenie.
Na początku tej recenzji użyłem sformułowania „krótki”, gra niestety jest krótka, bo oferuje zaledwie / aż 9 misji kampanii – które można przejść w kilka godzin.

Re-Legion to krótki, aczkolwiek dobry tytuł z kategorii futurystycznych gier strategicznych, przyjemna odskoczna od bardziej rozbudowanych growych tytułów.

Fun game. It was short and the story, though irritating at times, left me wanting for just a bit more.
Seems like the game wasn't finished when it was released. Anyway, it's not going to get any updates or expansions I would guess and there is no one ever on line if you're looking for matches.
Great atmosphere, good music, fun if not cheesy story, not a bad challenge.
I think I paid like a dollar for this? I can't remember but it was probably a Humble Bundle purchase.

Т.к. в США запрещена деятельность коммунистических партий, а создание сект не запрещено, то тут соответственно создается секта, а не партия. В целом вся история современных США, их BLM, борьба трансгендеров, ЛГБТ и прочее - это стремление людей к коммунизму.
США сами виноваты в этом)

I enjoyed it some what. If you like conquest games with a story this might be for you.
I hit an issue early on where the Worshippers would not group up on one spot. Even with a double click. Which made them a tad bothersome. Crawler tactics work overly well. I suffered no zerg rush to challenge me. Maybe there was a zerg rush, but I was overly prepared for it. Not really sure. The second glitch was when I meet the Cult of the Fibonacci. The game froze. Could click to other units. Tried saving and released I don't care to.
If you read this far I have to say. THE STORY IS FANTASTIC! I am in it for this story. I personally want to see how the story ends. I'm a huge cyberpunk fan and this tickles my dystopian senses better than surfing real world news. I feel, I will give it a rest and come back to the game later.
At this time I would not suggest this game with out saying that I hit some technical issues.
