Psychonauts 2 is a platform-adventure game developed by Double Fine Productions and released in 2021. It continues the story of Razputin “Raz” Aquato, a young psychic who joins the international psychic espionage agency known as the Psychonauts. Игра 9/10, определённо советую к покупке и прохождению данного тайтла любителям платформеров и игр по мультиками. Вам определённо зайдет, даже если вы не играли в Марио и подобные ему игры.
Что в игре хорошо:
- Графика и визуал на вышем уровне, дизайн уровней очень красивый, передаёт атмосферу "тараканов" в головах персонажей в которых мы попадаем.
- Пусть слегка запутанный, но интересный сюжет.
- Многогранные геймплейные механники, очень много эксклюзивных для каждого уровня препятствий, действий и геймплейных механик не дающих заскучать во время прохождения
- Обилие прикольных шуток, гегов, мемов. Благодаря харизме персонажей ты к ним привязываешься, переживаешь, размышляешь о них да и впринципе становятся как родные (имхо)

Из минусов:
- Нет встроенного руссификатора диалогов, вся игра на англиском кроме текста на текстурах и субтитров.
- Затруднительная боёвка. Она осталась из первой части в которой она была ещё унылей, но за то придает второй номерной части трушности и олдовости.

В целом игра - ШИК. Я давно себя так не развлекал проходя крутые уровни, с крутыми механниками, персонажами и визуалом.

really good game. my favourite character ended up being otto though i have to say i love the queer representation in it, what makes it even better is that jack black is one of those characters. the level of the brain in a jar is a great one

i like the function of being able to not take damage if you want to toggle it because i'm like. not good at this game and sometimes i got so frustrated i turned it on just so i can see the story because to me that's the best part

o Jogo saiu em 2021 mas só fui jogar agora....

Psychonauts 2 venceu o GOTY 2021 e foi completamente merecido. Antes de jogar pensei que seria muito infantil talvez, mas me impressionou muito, em praticamente todos os aspectos, é tudo muito bem feito, todos os cenários que são muitos, o jogo tem muita plataforma, diversos colecionáveis para se pegar em todo canto, mas sem ser aquela coisa maçante a la Assassins creed, vários poderes para serem utilizados e upados e o principal, uma historia muito mas muito bacana e divertida com muito humor, é um jogo simples mas que te deixa imerso pois sua narrativa acredito ser a parte de maior destaque do game. Zerado com aproximadamente 22 horas, ja fazendo vários extras, e platinado com 26 horas.

Pode ir de olhos fechados que o jogo é muito bom!

A great modernization of the 3D platformer, this is an excellent follow up to the original Psychonauts, in some ways enhancing aspects of the original.
The original Psychonauts was a great exercise in taking idiomatic speech of how people process trauma or regular mental health and turning those phrases into gameplay elements that had a consistent logic throughout the whole experience, and its sequel is no different, and indeed takes it to a newer height. New characters are introduced alongside returning characters, Double Fine maintains its excellent artistic pedigree with great music and level design, levels are distinct and fun, and the story feels like it is in conversation with the original, growing one's appreciation for the original and building off where it left off spiritually.
I highly recommend the game to any fan of the original, any fan of 3D platformers, and I also highly recommend watching the "PsychOdyssey" documentary series about the making of the game.

Having backed this project in Kickstarter and desperately hoping for a sequel years after, even playing the VR Rhombus of Ruin sequel. Psychonauts 2 is a welcome addition. It does pale in comparison to the first game in story and characters, as most sequels do. The cast had less personality and were easily forgettable. It didn't seem like you build much a relationship with the new cast, even if their whole trope is to be jealous and stand-offish. The world they built was incredible. The interpretation of what its like in someones mind and how they can really twist that into a world you can explore is what makes Psychonauts what it is. I will say Psychonauts 1 was a tad more interesting in character development and the entire cast in the camp really felt like they had something to contribute personality wise.

Came for Psychonauts 2, stayed because of Psychonauts 1. It was good and scratched the itch, but I think it needs to retire here. If there was a grown up Raz with him and his girlfriend Lily taking on more responsibility at the agency, possibly... but it was a good story, let's end it here before quality diminishes beyond recognition.

The game was fun. Not as much as the first one, but fun. The story is mid, but you say: 'meh!' and keep playing. And then, towards the end, the devs decided to put a checkmark on DEI and turned two of the Psychic Six into gay lovers. Said checkmark came not at the beginning, no, when you can spot this ♥♥♥♥ and refund their game. No. Devs are smarter than this. They put this near the end, when you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of a refund. If you dare say something about it on the Discussion Forums, they will ban you. So, ♥♥♥♥ Double Fine. ♥♥♥♥ MicroSlop and its retarded son XBOX, and ♥♥♥♥ Tim Schafer. Do not buy this garbage.

An extremly fun and original game. Reminded me of old school platformers when games didnt take themselves so seriously.
From the artstyle to movement everything just fits. The game also tackles some heavier topics without making the player uneasy.
I loved this game even if I didnt play psychonauts 1 and I fully recommend this one if you like platformers even just a little bit.

Great game, very creative. Its a huge collectathon which kinda means that the value of each thing you collect is really low, so it does not really feel special to collect anything, you just do it for the sake of it. That being said, the gameplay is fun and the story is quite interesting so there is enough to keep you playing.

Joy to play through and is there with the greats when it comes to platforming.
Whimsical characters and heavy stories that tie to the main plot.
Visually always a joy to your eyes and unique level design that gets you craving for more.
Such nice sound design and music that really make it feel like an animated movie at times.
Lots to do and taking my time with it and getting all the achievements it took me good over 20 hours to complete, more than enough.

I highly recommend checking this out after you've played the first one.
They're [i]really[/i] unique and great games.

While technically guilty of being a 'just another one' sequel, when the game that Psychonauts 2 is derivative of is the original Psychonauts, delivered with as much care and attention to detail as it has been, it remains something truly remarkable.

Everything good and bad you can say about Psychonauts can be said about its sequel. Same visually and mechanically creative level designs, same clever and witty writing, same overly easy combat, same pointless collectibles and upgrades.

Double fine really knows how to make a fun game. They've always been able to fuse humor and storytelling with great game design without it ever feeling forced. I played the original Psychonauts back in the day, and only just now got around to playing the sequel. Made for a fun Spring Break. Will replay Brutal Legend soon and, I've got Keeper waiting in the wings. Have fun!!

A platformer/collectathon with good narrative story and big cast of characters, both old and new. (I also like the different enemy types) There are tons of things to see and interact with as you progress and explore each level/area, which are all incredibly creative, unique, and whimsical. Overall fantastic and enjoyable sequel!!!

Fixed my main gripe about the first game which was you can go back to every single area and collect anything you might have missed.

Прекрасная игра, каких нынче уже не делают.
К сожалению не играла в первую часть, поэтому сравнить не могу. Игра погружающая в детство конца 90х-2000х. Какая-то мощнейшая смесь "Дети шпионов", Гравити Фоллс. Разнообразные уровни, куча собирательных штучек, прекрасная и милая история, шутки. Визуально игра так же выполнена в совершенно очаровательном стиле. Я собрала в этой игре всё, все достижения, коллектаблс, просидела в этой игре 40 часов разглядывая все углы и мне было мало.
Игра для тех, кто хочет снова почувствовать себя ребенком, но "взрослым ребенком".
Признаюсь в любви к этой игрушке и добавляю в любимые.

Ok, so, if you just want more Psychonauts then you get more psychonauts, the graphics are upped thanks to the technology and gameplay is way more polished... but I can't for the life of me think this game is better than the first game.

As I said the gameplay is great, the plataforming is way better than the first, there are QoL changes that make your life 10 times easier if you're a completionist, bosses are great, and the story feels more grounded and frankly better written overall compared to the first.

But the big point at least for me, I didn't think a single one of the minds of this game was more interesting than the ones in the first, I don't think many share this opinion but I played the first years ago and I can still remember levels like Milla's and the theater (Milk man is just a timeless classic, I'm not mean enough to hold that level as any standard), I just finished this and the only one that sticks to my mind was the concert.

And a second point that annoyed me greatly is that this game threw away almost the entire cast from the first game but they got replaced by a way larger cast, so how did it fare?

-Sasha and Milla, really interesting characters from the first game, personal favorites even, I'm really pumped to see how they contribute...pretty much not in the story.

-The campers were replaced with a bunch of psychonaut interns, they were a bit unlikeable but they seem interesting enough and Sam is even related to important characters in both games so with a bit of development they could shine... and they only appear in the very first mission and [spoiler] The tail end of the very last one. [/spoiler]

-Raz's family that just pop up in the story... they did just for a plot point and completely forgotten afterwards.

-Lili? Raz's girlfriend, has connections to a mayor character in the story and also the main mistery... [spoiler] Does nothing the entire plot and she is only mission control on a single level [/spoiler]

-Ok, so how about the group of characters that you enter the minds of and pretty much hijacks the plot after the first mission? [spoiler] Dissapear at the climax of the story!!! [/spoiler] Ok I can't deal with this.

This humongous cast feels like they came from 3 different stories that got chopped up and frankestined together afterwards with the way they appear and disappear, despite me thinking that this is a good story overall, I'm amazed at how they manage to find the perfect way to undermine each and every character in it.

And a point I didn't know how to bring up naturally... the designs feel very diferent from the first game, they still look like Picasso paintings but they look over all cuter and more approachable (heck, Sam is downright adorable), while on the first the ugly characters looked down right grotesque, I'm ambivalent to this, the art style still feels somewhat intact but it also feels a lot less bold. Could be good could be bad.

It might not be the most polished game, and might have a few too many cutscenes taking control of the player, but it is an absolutely beautiful and imaginative and creative game!
I believe there are plenty of moments in this game that will remain in my memory for a long time and that’s saying a lot. It’s definitely a game that stays with you.
And beautiful beautiful work on the environment design. Some of the best looking wonky places I’ve seen! I love it!

The best way I can describe this game is [b]'lazy and uninspired.'[/b] It thinks the player will love to see the same three tricks repeated nonstop.

It’s like being allowed to explore a huge and amazing house. The first room looks awesome with yellow painted walls, lots of decorations, and a tidy layout.

Then you move on, and the next room also has yellow walls and a very similar layout. You think to yourself it will get better, so you enter the next room. This one also has yellow walls and the same layout, but this time there’s a new lamp on the table. You go upstairs to the next room and see more yellow walls, the same paintings and tables, but with two lamps now.

Then you recall the stairway also had yellow walls, and you start wondering how shallow this house is.

You check the next room and it looks slightly different as it's a kitchen with all the utensils and stations for cooking. You take your time and enjoy it, then decide to move on. But for the rest of the tour, you only see rooms with yellow walls.

Since you're this far in, you figure you might as well see the attic. When you get there, you're no longer surprised to see yellow walls and the same decorations. You decide to get it over with and go through the last door only to find yourself at the beginning of the house again, having to explore it all over again.

[h2] The Good [/h2]

1) The game looks amazing and the visuals are good.

2) Good voice acting.

3) Was happy to see the whole gang that was absent in the first game.

4) It's become significantly easier to find every collectible as each mind is split in parts and the game tells you which ones have items to be found.

5) After beating the final boss you get a new "item finder" to assist with collectible hunting.

6) The game introduces new enemies gradually trying to keep the experience fresh, but that was not nearly enough for a positive review.

[h2] The Bad [/h2]

1) [b]All mind levels play the same![/b] Except the Cook Off. I saw it once, I saw it twice, thrice and so back and forth.

[b]Every single level takes place in the nothingness.[/b] They just put floating platforms here and there, had you jump from one to another, leap across disconnected floor and reach the end.

[b]Most levels have gravity shifts[/b] where you can practically walk everywhere, even on walls, and the camera just adjusts itself.

[b]Most levels towards the end have these illusions where it looks like you're walking thru a door but you're actually being teleported in a different area[/b] (if you check behind the door there's nothing). Locations are NOT connected and this was just a cheap way to make a non-existant level layout "work" while trying to impress the player. Do this too many times and you get the opposite effect.

2) Since areas aren't connected and the game just teleports you between them when you walk through "portals", [b]the item finder actually messes with collectible locations.[/b] It might find one far away in a direction but it's actually behind that illusion door on the opposite way..

3) [b]Pacing between mind levels and reality was terrible.[/b] After the first one, completing a mind level does not give you time to catch a breath that you're thrown into another one almost immediately. I often had to stop myself from playing because it felt like I was just rushing through and I think the first game handled this better.

4) I found upgrades to be quite pointless frankly. They don't give any excitement as you unlock them because they're just basic and you can do without.

5) The upgrade badges were also disappointing as there are many of them but you can only equip 3. What's worse, the levitation ball color is included in the 3-size limit so you have to sacrifice an upgrade for it...

6) There are a lot of invisible walls that prevent exploration for no reason.

7) [b]Razputin gives you the answers for the puzzles just a few seconds in every time.[/b] Even when I didn't realize there was a puzzle to solve yet. It just makes the feat pointless.

Another way to describe this game is that at the front its a huge majestic castle, then as you move around it you find out it was an illusion and it's just a static image and behind there's nothing.

Disappointing.

Amazing execution and great story, got me sobbing at how good that ending was.
Combat and movement are a HUGE upgrade from psychonauts 1 and the writing is as always PEAKK
One of the first games I ever finished. This game will always have a special place in heart. Heavily recommended, 9.5/10

(there is a part where i gen thought i was gonna have a stroke cuz of the trippy graphics but other than that no notes)

Se nota cuando en un estudio no se juzga ni una sola idea y hay libertad creativa total al momento del desarrollo de un juego y este es un claro ejemplo. No hace falta ni hablar de la evolución técnica y gráfica porque la primera entrega tiene más de 15 años y es algo que debía suceder pero la fluidez con la que se controla a Raz me hizo largar un suspiro de alivio. Fluidez que considero no está del todo lograda en la historia: me parece que intentaron complejizarla de más cuando no era estrictamente necesario. No me gustó mucho que el foco se haya apartado de Sasha y Milla (madre), personajes que amo y tenían mucho más potencial que ofrecer en esta secuela. No sé, los que aparecen acá no son tan memorables como lo fueron los niños del campamento.

Además de disfrutar del gameplay y de explorar cada mente me reí muchísimo con el humor que maneja, aunque en este caso es mucho menos ácido, menos irónico y está un poco más suavizado. Siento que algo se perdió en el camino pero no por eso deja de ser un muy buen humor.

Más allá de esto, me encantó. Es importantísimo valorar esta clase de juegos hoy en día. Juegos con personalidad, hechos con pasión y que además tratan la diversidad mental de una manera sorprendentemente creativa sin caer en la burla. Ojalá que la saga continúe y no la abandonen.

J'ai l'impression que ça aurait été mieux en tant que zeldalike/metroidvania, plutôt qu'un collect-a-thon moyen qui ne donne pas envie de tout ramasser. La plateforme et le combat ne sont pas très funs.

L'écriture, bien que sympa et intéressante, n'est pas crédible au niveau des réactions des personnages. Certains personnages devraient être bien plus en colère par rapport à ce qu'il se passe.

Au moins les niveaux sont beaux, la vibe est unique et l'histoire suffisamment captivante.

What if Psychonauts but more and sweeter? Phenomenal writing and some of the most wonderfully out-of-the-box creative framing and design for each and every level. I would have happily played for another 20 hours but I expect it would take another 16 years to come up with anything this wild again.... not that I'm not prepared to wait.

Man, what a journey though the minds of some very interesting characters! I really enjoyed the first game, and I'm happy to say that this game lives up to the hype and is (in my opinion) even better then the first game. I just wish I had psychic powers and could fix the minds of everyone around me like Raz. :)

游戏的设计重心放在了叙事和地图的探索，美术方面色彩偏向高饱和度，场景的造型大胆奔放千奇百怪堪称脑洞大开，你可以看到无序的美术背景加上有序的路线设计构成的整个场景，地图设计没有追求密而是追求巧，作为平台跳跃游戏手感尚可、难度适中没有卡点，叙事方面也是采用了荒诞幽默的口吻，剧本上乘没剧情杀没煽情饺子包的顺理成章。关卡设计与叙事高度高度耦合，探索推进叙事，叙事驱动探索循循渐进。
游戏中的涂鸦收集品堪称神来之笔，这些涂鸦被精心布置在了整个场景，集齐一百个升一级，既规划了玩家的路线，又为玩家提供了十足的驱动力，且这些涂鸦十分显眼，图案又与场景主题高度匹配，既加深玩家对场景的辨识度，又充当了背景板。
制作组的脑袋怕不是海绵，全是脑洞，风格也跟磕了一样嗨的停不下来。
吹毛求疵的说中期在全收集的时候有些折磨，有些收集品就是死活找不到再加上国内热度一般攻略也不是很完善。

This was one of the very best gmes I've played in a long time. The creativity in the level design is fantastic, the gameplay is great, and story was enjoyable if a bit silly. It's the level design that really blew me away - so well thought out and varied.

A Zany game which i put off buying for 4 years. I am glad i got it. there are some irritating bits but otherwise platforming is hilarious. Worth spending 20 hours to play. Best level by far is PSI Kings Emporium.

More beautiful and dynamic than the first game. A captivating, open-world experience. Excellent play with light and shadow. The humor is weaker than its predecessor. The game is good, despite the fact that the design of some levels near the end is clearly underdeveloped – they should have been left out. :) The in-game store is overflowing with unnecessary fluff. Following the plot and understanding all the authors' ideas is just as difficult as in the first game (even for a psychology student).

TL;DR This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocks.
I love the first game so much with how wacky it is, and the sequel maintains that to a nice degree. This game has a weird place for me, because this is a stellar sequel, while at the same time, it has some differences from the first game with how its done which somewhat makes me dislike it a little bit. The gameplay in this one, is LEAGUES better than the original in so many ways. I love the combat in this with how in depth it is, with every ability being good for platforming, puzzles, and combat in an excellent form. The visuals look great, however I have some issues with it. Generally it's lost the classic look that makes it look so jagged, which I miss, but it generally looks great. The visuals have an issue where you can't really tell if you're in the real world or in a mental world, where in the original the real world was just so nature based, and everything being in green tones, even to the point of the sky being green just to push it further. In the sequel, it doesn't really follow this rule, which allows some nice new environments, but it makes it really tough to tell some screenshots apart from each world. The writing in this is great, but very different from the original. This holds a far more serious plot, and honestly none of the jokes were really that funny, while the original was so crazy and not serious at all, where they just had a lot of great jokes. I don't know if this was an issue with my taste of humor or generally that the humor wasn't really that good, but it wasn't the worst thing. This game is great, and I don't really have crazy issues, anything I say is generally me poking at things that are just really obvious as someone who just loves the original, but this is still amazing, and generally falls right next to it in my top favorite games.

My only issue is the price of this one, but thats AAA for you.

Loved this game, did everything possible in it just like I did the first one when it first came on out on the OG Xbox. Great time. I wouldn't be mad at a 3rd one about the future of the psychonauts and raz's family. Shout out to the amazing voice actors in the game aswell! I noticed alot of them and shout out to double fine, the devs, designers, writers, and of course, Tim Schafer.

What a fantastic feast of color, emotion, and uttermost creativity! Played this right after playing the first one for the first time, and my god imagine how the fans of the original felt waiting so so long for the sequel to come out, AND be THIS worth to wait! Psychonauts 2 holds every good thing about human mind (and soul!) inside its colorful package wrapped with love. ENORMOUS triumph for, and the symbol of, love, hope and the indomitable human spirit (and mind!). :)
