Well it is not as good as the first game but worth a buy under 2$. Still fun to see in the 3d perspective. Like many reviewers are saying you don't see the whole map like first game just part of it which some players may dislike. My main complaint on the other hand is the terran not being flat and hard to walk on. Indeed it is not has smooth just walking on trees or over mountainous terrain. Feels like the character struggles or just bad collision mapping.

Of course the leaderboard is filled with hackers. I saw the first 3 did not look legit at all unless you modded the game. The game still has that Pixeljunk monster charm it had on ps3.

Lack of coherence.

It is a tower defense, so a casual game. I enjoy that style sometimes because it is relaxing, but that does not make me expect much neither of a game.
Yet I played some TD games on a tablet back in the day that kept me hooked longer than this one.

The visuals are just okay. The presentation video makes it look more engaging than it really is. The more you play, the more you uncover elements of gameplay and cosmetics.
There are no links between the elements you uncover and the universe. Neither visually, nor in their origins, nor through any story.
This tiki universe with its wooden masks and shields first introduces old-style Spanish cannons and ballistas… why not.
Then quickly, you obtain a hive releasing attacking bees, laser cannons, or a futuristic-looking ice cannon.
With no introduction to them, nothing that makes acquiring them fun or meaningful. No, they are just there to support the game type, not to be coherent with the universe.
Let’s get something that slows down enemies. A mud cannon? No, that would be too imaginative and would match the universe. Let’s just add a freezing cannon from another game we never released…

Lazily inspired.

The bosses, at least the first three, are big bronze statues. Not very nice looking. They progress slowly and can absorb lots of hits. They spit minions similar to the ones you stopped before reaching the boss stage.
The monsters are spiders, some sort of acorns, flying acorns, others are rock golems…
Here again there is a lack of inspiration that could have brought some coherence and build an universe.

I don’t give it a thumb down. It can still amuse the most casual players for a while.
Also because I spent less than $2 on it during a 90% off sale.
Paying more for it, I would have been unhappy

前作大好きでした。今作もスイッチで発売日に買いましたが、内容は薄いです。ステージも少ないし。
でも思い入れのあるタイトルなので、あの頃のティキマンがミニチュアみたいにかわいく動いているのを見るだけで嬉しい気持ちになりました。幼少期の友人が幸せに暮らしているのを見つけたみたいな気持ちです。
セールで90%オフになっていたのでSteamでもティキ君に会いに来ました。元気そうでなによりです。

ふとした時に思い出してちょびっと遊んで飽きたらほっとくぐらいの温度感で買うなら、ほっこりできていいと思います。多分たまにやりたくなると思いますよ。

Just awful, a real disappointment.

I'm not sure how the rock solid foundation laid out in the first game was ignored, or why they made the decisions they made in adapting this to 3D, but almost all of the choices are wrong. All this needed to be was more maps for Monsters 1, and maybe some new enemies and towers. Instead it's 3D, and badly executed. You can't play with a camera where you can see everything that is happening, you can choose between overhead seeing some of the map, or behind the back but zoomed in way too close to be usable. You can hold a button to see the correct overhead view, so it exists in the game, but you can't move or play while viewing from that angle, for no reason at all. I say it's the correct view, it's too far out, and shows parts of the map that are often not actually accessible and don't even need to exist.

I have no idea how anyone working on this could have played Monsters 1, then a test build of this, and not immediately started over. The only thing this improves is the screenshots, which is probably why all the changes were made, and why it's terrible. I hope this sold way worse, it's a deserved failure on all fronts.

This one is rough. The original is one of my all time favorite Tower Defense games but this one is a step backwards in just about every way besides visuals.
There are hardly any stages, the ones they do have all recycle the same layout but just have different paths [i](that's why there will be unused paths on levels)[/i] and overall it's noticeably slower than the original.

My wife and I have 80 hours playing the original PixelJunk Monsters and we loved it. Something went very wrong with this sequel. The other reviews capture the issues well. The screen is way too zoomed in so you can't see what is happening in other parts of the map; this is especially annoying in co-op since it constrains the two players to not be able to act in different parts of the map. The transition from 2D to 3D doesn't gain anything and makes it harder to see the details of what's going on.

Locking progress behind needing a perfect score is really annoying. I don't want to restart over and over again because I lost 1/20 lives I have but you have to to unlock the next levels/areas. Some of us just want to beat the level and move on, not see the same levels over and over again because oh no I lost 1 life! I have some other smaller problems with this game but honestly this is the only one that makes me not recommend the game.

If you've not played the original Monsters, play it first. If you have, continue.

I'm not sure why this game has so many negative reviews. After 2 hours I can say that if you liked Monsters 1 this is mostly more of the same. The game still has a ton of charm, and trying to get a perfect on every level is just as enjoyable as before. There are a few issues I'll cover below, but they are pretty minor.

The main thing people seem to complain about is the new perspective. I prefer the old one, but applaud them for trying something different. You can zoom out A LOT with the bumpers, and even get a full map view with left trigger, so it's not a big deal. Readability in general is the biggest issue. Given how similar this sequel is I think it's useful to focus on what's different. Here are the changes I encountered in the first 2 hours:

🚫 It's harder to see coins and gems on the ground now, but you can eventually get used to it.
🚫The tower radial also suffers from reduced readability, and is less responsive.
🚫 Towers no longer tell you what their next upgrade is. Instead you get a generic upgrade icon
🚫 The 3D terrain gets in your way. The new jump button helps with this, but 3D is still a net negative imo. A look at some YT videos suggests 3D might get more interesting in later levels, but I'm not sure.
🚫Tower ranges are poorly represented across elevation changes (they can be longer than it seems).
🚫 It's harder to tell at a glance what level towers are.
⭐ You don't visit the base anymore to unlock tower upgrades. Towers are unlocked during the campaign and then are available immediately via the radial. However, special towers require gems each time they are built.
⭐ New towers are available. I didn't use any of them yet, but that's still probably a good thing.
⭐ Cosmetics are available for your character. Unfortunately player 2 can't use them. Instead they get assigned a random appearance.

Overall, I doubt this will be as good as the original, but it deserves WAY MORE attention than it got. It's still a solid TD with a lot of charm There is a good chance my wife and I will 100% this like we did with the first Monsters. I might update the review once I've played more.

И это просто что-то с чем-то. Были ли у игры тестеры и было ли им удобно? Хотя есть догадки, что подобная игра затачивалась именно под несколько игроков хоть по сети, хоть на одном компе. Но всё-таки о балансе для одного игрока тоже не надо забывать.

Но и это не самое отталкивающее. Как все привыкли видеть защиту башни на ПК? Есть некая длань игрока, которая расставляет защиту и потом смотрим на результат убойности данных башен. Если что-то не так, то выставляем по другому и другие орудия. Обычно выставление может сопровождаться активной паузой, когда враги не пойдут без готовности игрока.

Здесь же всё извращено. Тут есть персонаж - некий пучеглазый чушпан, который в мыле с одним местом будет бегать по всей карте и расставлять орудия. Также нужно возле орудий стоять и приплясывать для повышения их уровня либо прокачивать их за зелёные камни. Также нужно самому бегать по карте и собирать монетки на новые орудия из убитых врагов. Сложно сказать зачем все эти пауки таскают с собой монетки, но вознаграждают именно они. Поселение просто долбится в потолок, потому что это какие-то маленькие кракозябры и спиногрызы. Также можно ещё по карте носиться и трясти деревья в надежде, что с них тоже что-то выпадет.

Это всё безобразие сдобрено какими-то водоёмами и пропастями в зависимости от уровня, где наш взмыленный чушпан также будет терять монетки и время. То есть попав в этот капкан он какое-то время так кайфует и уже потом выбирается. В итоге всё это похоже на аврал у исполнительного директора перед дедлайном - нужно к каждому подбежать, каждого прокачать, монетки и камни пособирать, ну ещё при этом не завалиться куда-нибудь в овраг.

Поэтому только в компании чего-то и можно здесь добиться, когда один будет монетки собирать, другой орудия строить, третий шерстить деревья и 4-ый прокачивать эти самые башни. Тут ещё есть зачем-то вид от третьего лица, при котором обзора минимум. Также минимальные настройки графики лучше не ставить, т.к. это будет мыло.

Есть ещё радуги, которые нужны для открытия следующих уровней. Но дают их только за идеальное прохождение при сохранении всех спиногрызов.

Ну вот и думайте при всём описанном, нужно ли вам такое щастье. Ну ещё тут можно маски и панцири менять, разумеется за монетки. При этом непонятно, на что эти панцири и маски влияют кроме так себешных скинов. И достижения здесь тоже такие уже паскудные - собери сто тыщ монеток, убей триллион мобов, прокачай сикстиллион башен и в таком духе. То есть достижения нужно тупо рутинно так же накручивать тонной пройденных одних и тех же уровней. Повторение одних и тех же действий тут в абсолюте.

Ах да, здесь ещё нет русского перевода. А многие механики здесь объясняются в текстовом виде, а не в постепенном режиме обучения по типу нормальных игр про защиту башни.

games damn good. played the crap out of it on my Nintendo switch. and i always thought 3D TD games where too underrated and this was one of them. if you like tower defense games with style, chill, entertaining, and fun. i highly recommend this it plays great. and the Clay-mation like style always is nice to just look at when your towers are tarring ♥♥♥♥ up. its all around satisfying.

also i don't understand these negative reviews at all. def one of those games on steam that just is attracting a lot of negative people.

My partner and I were so very disappointed with this game, do not waste your time, nor your money. We have both just requested a refund due to the numerous multiplayer issues, i.e. connection dropping out, hosted games not appearing in the list, having to invite one another 10 times before a game finally works only to have the connection drop out. Furthermore, when you are playing the enemies just walk around in circles and don't actually progress to the chibis you are meant to be protecting. We received error messages which weren't even complete sentences, noting that the "how to play" section also had incomplete sentences/words missing in the information provided. This game looked so promising, but do not let the cute graphics fool you.

I can't express how disappointed I am in this game. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the first Pixeljunk Monsters on Steam so much we decided to buy this sequel. Jokes on us. The controls are set to Xbox controls by default so good luck figuring out how to even navigate through a menu. The local multiplayer doesn't work either. But then again, you won't even know what key to press to properly figure it out. There's no option to remap the keys either.

The first game was simple and fun. This is just a BIG departure from that.

I love PixelJunk Monsters, when I saw PixelJunk Monsters 2 I bought it without watching videos because I thought it was the same style, the same fun.

After playing it has nothing to do with PixelJunk Monsters 1. The gameplay for two is not good. We don't know where the monsters come from. You can't see the entire map, .... it's simply horrible.

If you loved the style and gameplay of PixelJunk Monsters 1, PixelJunk Monsters 2 destroys everything.

While the basics of the game are fun, there is a regular bug where towers wont shoot at targets that are well within their range. It constantly ruins runs and is definitely a bug as their is no mechanic that would cause this.

Played this game with family and friends when it first came out. Hadn't played the original so didn't have any expectations.

Loved the couch co-op warp feature. It resulted in a lot of chaotic fun and laughter. Unfortunately, the developer removed it under pressure from Monsters 1 fans. Understandable, but disappointing. Would have preferred if the developer left an option to toggle warp mode for those who enjoyed it.

Um jogo de tower defense onde você controla um personagem e com ele transforma as árvores em torres de defesa.
Os gráficos são bem bacanas, simples mas cumprem o que promete.
A história do jogo é simples, basicamente defender a sua casa.
O quesito diversão é o ponto alto, inclusive é possível jogar com até 4 amigos online ou 2 jogadores localmente.
O jogo é um excelente tower defense e se você curti esse tipo de jogo, você vai gostar do PixelJunk Monster 2.

Massively disappointing. Huge fan of the original but as much as I've tried to give it a chance I really can't recommend this game. All the ease of co-op play of the original title is gone. 3D graphics don't really add anything they just make it harder to see what is going on and you can't manage different parts of the scene so co-op, which was the single biggest ticket item of the original, doesn't really work anymore.

Memo to the devs, forget about the 3D graphics gimmick and the tweaks to resources, go back to square one and create a Monsters 3 that is more like the original - fun co-op to play with more levels and variety. And how good would a 4 player co-op be?

Gostei DEMAIS! Meu amigo que joga comigo também, agente finalizou o primeiro PJM no PS3, PS4 e depois no PC e vou ser sincero eu temia que não íamos gostar pelas críticas e também por justamente gostar tanto do antigo com gráficos mais simples mesmo... MAS me surpreendi positivamente. O jogo está com gráficos lindos e apenas nas primeiras horas já vi uma grande variação dos inimigos com grande variedade deles e também maior dificuldade no jogo. Nada na vida é perfeito, entendo e até concordo com parte das críticas mas o jogo está ótimo, segue sendo como o original na jogabilidade e teve um ganho gráfico incrível. Se você assim como eu gosta do PJM 1 e já fez tudo nele... vale a pena sim comprar o 2.

タワーはGemで強化（瞬間で強化できるがGemに限りアリ）、
自キャラで強化（時間かかる上、この間何もできない）
敵を倒すと金/Gem落とすので、自キャラで拾いに行く
自キャラ操作は慣性あるがすぐ慣れる

他のTDとは違う点（難しいと言われる理由）：
・自キャラ操作
・強化中は自キャラが動けず、敵が落とす金等を拾いに行く
　タイミングが難しい
　　（拾い損ねる＝軍資金が足りなくなる）
　　（拾いに行く＝強化中断＝防衛線が弱くなる）
・パワー系アイテムはあるが、map内に2-3個のみ
・パワー系アイテム購入とか、そんなヘタレ機能なし
・設置場所、どの順で強化するか一種のパズルでDLCはこの極み

maps are reused all the time and some paths just blocked off (boring and lazy of the devs)

it is often not clear which path the monsters will take making each level initially hard by trial and error and then boring.

music is repetitive and monotonous, much better in the first.
levels and upgrade status are huge and obnoxious. much sleeker in the first where you would only see them if you held down a button or danced on that.

bosses are more interesting and switch from ground to flying, so you donnt always just sell all your air towers on the last wave.

despite all this, it's still a PJM game, so a good tower defence all in all.
but man, the first was so much better

Such a shameful re-imagining of the first game. The game is trying to recycle and be as easy to produce as possible without any faith to the original game, and the music is repeatably abysmal. Just play the original which is simpler and was made with actual care.

Knuffig schön.

Hat mir gut gefallen.
Man braucht aber einige Zeit, um ins Spiel zu finden.
Wegen der nicht erklärten Steuerung, und weil man extrem viel Laufarbeit mit der Figur hat, um Türme zu bauen, diese durch Betanzung zu leveln, und aber auch noch nebenbei unter Zeitdruck gedropte Goldmünzen und Gems zu sammeln.
Das alles zusammen schließt es grundlegend aus, Türme dort zu bauen, wo man möchte, weil man dann auf Gold verzichten muss, was man nicht einsammeln kann, oder man hat auch keine Zeit die Türme zu leveln, was aber grundlegend ratsam und auch notwendig ist.
Ich werde jetzt nach rund 2/3 der erreichten Regenbogen das Spiel löschen, da mir die Zeit viel zu kostbar ist.
Die Level dauern halt sehr lange und der kleinste Fehler bedeutet einen Lebensverlust, was bei dem ganzen Stress natürlich quasi unvermeidbar ist.
Es können also Stunden vergehen, wenn man ein Level optimal durchgezockt haben möchte.
Da auch nur 1% der Leute so viel Durchhaltevermögen hatten, könnt ihr euch ausmalen, dass ihr es auch nicht schaffen wollt, alle Level zu meistern.
Es sind glaube ich 7x 3 Level, wobei jeder Level in drei Schwierigkeitsstufen gespielt werden kann, die dann jedes Mal anders sind, da andere Monster spawnen.
Und selbst wenn man wüsste, wie man auf die Wellen reagieren muss, schafft man es mit der kleinen Figur oft leider nicht auch überall hinzurennen und zu bauen und zu sammeln.
Optisch ist das Spiel wirklich herzallerliebst und ich würde auch wirklich gerne alle Level durchspielen, aber mittlerweile überwiegt der Steuerungsfrust und ich habe keinen Bock mehr jeden Level 10 mal zu wiederholen, nur weil ich nicht das machen konnte was ich wollte.
Und einfach nur spielen, um die Level zu schaffen, aber nicht die Errungenschaften zu bekommen, das macht auch keinen Spaß, weil sinnlos.
Daher kauft es euch, um die Level einmal durch zu spielen, nicht um einen 100% Spielstand zu schaffen, das würde euch sicher 50 Stunden oder länger kosten.
Trotzdem gibt es von mir natürlich ein

10分钟就卸载了。首先界面超级不友好，所有提示全部是基于手柄的，连设置菜单里面都没有键盘的按键提示。其次操作也超级不友好，大地图的判断和移动都很烂，兽人必须死这种地图够麻烦了，但还是可以准确判断路线，但这游戏我第一关重开5次没能无伤过，地图的观看太不直接了，一张图第一次上手根本没法判断路线了可以造塔的位置

不知道为何褒贬不一，在psp上用过1代，不错的塔防游戏，1代是强烈推荐的。2代初体验还可以，有繁中，推荐。游戏内对键鼠键位操作没有适配说明，希望添加。本平台，它处自定义包入的本体加全dlc约7元，目前就这，看以后追评。

For the type of game it is, this game smashes it.

simple game play done right, good art style, power levels feel right.

not just build the over powered towers and relax, but not hopeless ether.

I can't really say anything about Pixeljunk Monsters 2 that hasn't been said before. So I'll keep this short. This sequel takes the few faults the original had and amplifies them. It also introduces new features that I don't like. In the meantime it improves upon nothing at all. The main problem being the new 3D vertical levels, they are irritating to navigate. As a new game this one is mediocre, average at best. As a sequel to one of my favorite tower defense games ever, it's a disappointment.

На PS4 намного легче играется(прошел на Платину), а на PC можно неделю юзать уровень((. Вот по графике комп мощнее раза в 4-е, можно было б ещё сделать чтоб камера крутилась во всех направлениях, ну и стандартных в принципе хватает. Буду рекомендовать, любителям Tower Defense понравится:)

Вроде бы и прикольно увидеть этот мир в 3д, но вроде и ничего необычного.

Not worth it at current price ($17.49CAD).
It's way too short for that pricetag and top of it, it's full of small debilitating bugs, online co-op connectivity issues and an awful slow interface.
Examples of issues:
- Got unlucky while playing solo? Just restart the stage. Got unlucky playing with a friend online? Well, ♥♥♥♥ you buddy, you can't restart.
- Online play "works" by sending an invite your friend accepts, he gets automatically and instantly disconnected, but hey it will work on his 2nd invite.

Since I purchased this game in 2021 it seems a few of the initial complaints that people had were patched out in updates. You're still not able to view the entire map at once but you can zoom out far which helps. I liked the 2-D graphics from the original but don't mind the switch to 3-D. The experience is similar enough to say if you enjoyed the original, you'll like the sequel.

I'm a huge fan of the original Pixeljunk Monsters, 100% beating it on PS3 and most recently on PC. The unique tower defense gameplay paired with beautiful visuals and music really caught my attention. I ended up buying Pixeljunk Monsters 2 on release back in 2018, playing for a few hours and never picking it up again. After giving it another chance, lets briefly go over some of the highlights and downfalls for me.

While the graphics and overall aesthetic are beautiful in this game, the original just had more personality with its 2D art-style and cozy environments paired with chill music. While you are able to zoom in and out, even go over the shoulder, I still liked the zoomed out map being able to see everything from the first game. I don't like how trees collapse near where you build towers so you can't overlap and stack them like you could in the first game. I don't like how there isn't as many unique levels as the first game, but they do have you play the same level at different difficulties with twists (different pathing etc.). I like how there are now shops located in the levels you play for you to buy fruits with gems. The customization for the tiki character is pretty nice, doesn't do much besides looks for screenshots. I enjoyed how you can finally jump (and attack) to get over obstacles and enemies. I love how Monokuma found his way into this series (thanks to Spike Chunsoft for that), I'm a big fan of the Danganronpa series so I found it hilarious seeing enemies with his face.

Overall, I like both games. Each has its unique personality that you get to admire and enjoy the more you play. Although, I'm still a bigger fan of the first game, but this game deserves a fair shake and another shot for those who tried it and quit on release.

[b]PixelJunk Monsters 2[/b] to bardzo dobry, mocno wciągający jak również na wyższych poziomach trudności dosyć wymagający tytuł z gatunku gier tower defence w którym gracz po raz kolejny wciela się w przyjaznych tubylców których zadaniem będzie obrona własnej małej wioski z dziećmi.

Gra choć w fundamencie nie zmieniła się znacząco od jej poprzedniej odsłony to przejście na nowy silnik graficzny dodało jej znaczącego uroku a przez to przyjemność z gry jest jeszcze większa – zwłaszcza teraz kiedy można grać w aż cztery osoby na jednej mapie. Choć to nie wszystko czym może się pochwalić nowy tytuł, ale o tym poniżej w recenzji.

[i]Mała dygresja:[/i]

1. W czasie wyprzedaży możecie zakupić powyższy tytuł w granicach 8 zł, a w razie kiedy zabawa was wciągnie i chcielibyście więcej, istnieje możliwość dokupienia dodatkowych map za cenie 4 zł – nie ma co przepłacać.

2. Powyższy tytuł wykorzystuje możliwości funkcji Remote Play Together, dzięki czemu tylko jedna osoba musi posiadać grę w swojej bibliotece, a pozostali zaproszeni do gry gracze mogą się cieszyć tym tytułem za darmo.

[h1]Ale do rzeczy:[/h1]

Powyższy recenzowany tytuł to nic innego jak udoskonalona wersja poprzedniej gry PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate, przeniesiona na nowy silnik graficzny, lecz w dalszym ciągu jest to ta sama bardzo dobra gra z gatunku tower defence. Jak już wspomniałem na początku w której gracz ponownie wciela się w przyjemnie wyglądających tubylców starających za wszelką cenę uchronić własna małą wioskę i znajdujące się w niej dzieci przed atakiem przeróżnych stworzeń – tytułowych potworów. Aby tego dokonać trzeba na ścieżkach do naszej wioski budować wszelakiego rodzaju budowle obronne, która spowolni i w ostateczności wyeliminuje wrogie jednostki z mapy.

Schemat gry choć banalnie prosty, nie do końca takim jest biorąc pod uwagę zmieniające się struktura i możliwości budowy na poszczególnych mapach, różnorodność przeciwników o odmiennej charakterystyce w tym dodatkowych zdolnościach które dodatkowo wymagają odmiennego podejścia do ich unicestwienia.

Każda poszczególna plansza kończy się elitarną jednostką „Bossem” który przewyższa odpornością i zdolnościami wszystkie inne jednostki, które do tej pory się pojawiły, dlatego też bez dobrego rozplanowania obronny i późniejszej rozbudowy jej na mapie macie małe szanse na zwycięstwo.

W grze występują trzy poziomy trudności: Fun, Tricky i Mayhem. Im wyższy poziom trudności tym będą się pojawiać więcej fal przeciwników atakujących nasza wioskę, przeciwnicy będą silniejsi a sam tor ataku na wioskę może ulec zniekształceniu – przez co sama rozgrywka będzie nie tylko większym wyzwaniem same w sobie to również emocje i dynamika zabawy będzie bardziej ekscytująca.

[h1]Dalej:[/h1]

To co na pewno rzuca się w oczy to nowy silnik graficzny gry, który robi piorunujące wrażenie wizualne – jak również daje możliwość gry z widoku izometrycznego (od góry) lub z perspektywy trzeciej osoby. Dzięki czemu gracz może nie tylko bawić się w odmienny sposób to również ma możliwość zagłębienia się w ten urokliwy i pięknie wykreowany świat – oprawa graficzna robi wrażenie.

Etapów w grze jest sporo są zróżnicowane a same mapy są przygotowane starannie i ze smakiem, dzięki czemu z jednej strony będą wyglądały świetnie a z drugie będą stanowiły wyzwanie dla samego gracza.

Tak jak poprzednio mamy możliwość budowania struktur obronnych tylko w miejscach drzew, przez co należy rozważnie podchodzić do planowania obrony gdyż nie zawsze będzie ich wystarczająco dużo w obrębie całej mapy.

W grze mamy do dyspozycji mały, lecz wystarczający wachlarz wież obronnych, każda z wież ma własne (inne) statystyki lub stopień wyspecjalizowania do danego przeciwnika – wiec nie ma tak, że ukończycie całą grę korzystając z 2-3 wierz na krzyż, rozstawionych po całej mapie. Zapomnijcie, nawet zawalenie całej mapy wieżami nie jest gwarantem wygranej – przekonacie się o tym.

Podczas walki z przeciwnikiem budowle stopniowo podnoszą swoją zdolność bojową, coś na kształt levelowania – dzięki czemu ich ataki staja się mocniejsze a ich zasięg działania się zwiększa. Istnieje rózniez możliwość doładowywania tych budowli ręcznie by lvlowały, wystarczy stać przy nich, nasza postać będzie tańczyć – lecz jest to bardzo czasochłonny proces. Można też wykorzystać kryształy które wypadają z wroga, lecz są one bardzo rzadkie a potrzebne są do tworzenia bardziej wyspecjalizowanych budowli obronnych.

Kolejną kwestią to możliwość gry kooperacyjnej z aż czterema (4) graczami na raz na jednej mapie, co nie tylko daje większą frajdę z zabawy to również stopień trudności misji również rośnie – choć również można też grać samemu.

PixelJunk Monsters 2 to bardzo dobry, mocno wciągający jak również na wyższych poziomach trudności dosyć wymagający tytuł z gatunku gier tower defence w który po prostu należy zagrać.

Not impressed with PixelJunk Monsters2 and deleted it quite soon into game play. As a summation to my apparently quick interpretation of this game, I had previously played the original version and was familiar with the game in general (thus my ability to judge it rather early on).
The music was not conducive to compelling TD game play and although visually the game has improved immensely since the original game and the cute style graphics are now quite appealing in terms of the 3-D aspect, sadly, the overall immersion is affected due to the given limits of control of gamer viewpoints which are awkward making it difficult to judge depth and accuracy sort of like playing a game while looking through a straw or a tube. As far as difficulty, the game felt quite weak, rather wimpy and frankly a bit strange (and in a not good way) in terms of strategy and ability to plan, lead, control... and compared to most TD I've played it just wasn't very exciting; and, therefore, I was not compelled ti play to the end. In contrast, as a TD genre aficionado, I usually play TD games completely and repetitively and enjoy challenges, not so with PixelJunk Monsters. I would probably only recommend this game to very young gamers but certainly not TD players in general.

Mainly disappointed with the lack of a speed control. A lot of times you're dancing in place under a tower and it would be good to speed up during these times.

This is the most disappointing sequel in the history of sequels besides Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. The soundtrack isn't made by Otograph again so it's more mellow, ambient songs that don't really add much to the game like they did in the 1st one, but it's the graphical change and POV change that really make this game feel like a whole different beast altogether; instead of the, I guess I'll say "cute", animated graphics they used in PJM, they decided to go full 3D and even give you the option to put the camera right behind your Tikiman and it really doesn't make the game better in any way.

If you haven't played the first one, play the first one and be content with the first one cuz it doesn't get any better for tower defense games than that. If you HAVE played the first one and love it, just stick with that one and don't get your heart broken by PJM 2.
