Its "okay" its just... Its messy and sloppy.

By that I mean, the way the level system works for Ground, -1, -2, etc is the worst part of it. Makes it super confusing to work around.

I dont like posting a reivew like this, especially when I know it pair of devs trying there best.

Its not finished, it still has bugs, its not balanced. That's it really and not little ones.

Items have disapeeared, one of my biggest puzzles in the game was trying to move the staff room door. You lose on reputation zero but there's no control for run away reputation loss. Placing platforms is often a nightmare. The 2.5D stuff is a nightmare often. Someone throws up in a main throwfare, you are doomed. Stuff renders strangly. There are little to few QoL features in the UI. I pushed though for 8 hours as I wanted to love it, and support a small dev. But I am uninstalling it.

Devs, It looks like you have moved on. Please one day give 2 months and realease a fix, I will be here. Its just a cute like and 80% of the way to enjoyable. Just not all the way there.

Est-ce que quelqu'un a compris comment fonctionnaient les sauvegardes dans ce jeu ? Est-ce qu'au moins elles fonctionnent ? Chez moi, c'est totalement aléatoire !
A l'instant par exemple, je viens de tenter de relancer un réseau dans lequel j'avais fait "sauvegardé et quitter" après avoir bien avancé une station (mais sans avoir complété tous les objectifs). Je viens de le relancer : toute ma station a été perdue !

Parfois, je perd le personnel mais pas les développements, puis de façon aléatoire, je les retrouve... Parfois, je conserve le personnel mais je perd une partie du développement... Bref, je n'y comprned absolument rien... Si quelqu'un peut m'aider, car en l'état, ça rend le jeu extrèmement désagréable alors qu'il a un super potentiel...

EDIT : après avoir effectué toute une batterie de tests pour essayer de comprendre, je n'ai rien compris... Par contre, j'ai définitivement perdu toute l'équipe de personnel que j'avais employé et monté en niveau tant bien que mal (c'est à dire que parfois, en démarrant une nouvelle station, je n'avais plus d'employés, alors je devais abandonner la station et la recommencer et miracle, les morts ressuscitaient... Mais là c'est terminé, ils sont définitivement morts apparemment)

原价入这个游戏是不值的，十几块那就中规中矩，大体的模拟经营的元素都做的很忠实，再说缺点：自由度欠缺，包括视角受限（只有四个角度，层数增多后容易出现视角遮挡问题）、可建设区域太小和自由度不足（例如同一格为什么不能有多层设计？）；设施多占一格空位的设计既是掣肘也是游玩的时候需要考虑的一点；关于温度设计，前期的通风口和一级空调太废，且建造受限，遇到高温日如果点滴不足容易暴毙；滑倒的人、心脏骤停的人、被打晕在地上的人其他乘客遇到统一都说尸体是什么意思，躺地上的就是尸体？还有既然都有老鼠和脏污啥的咋连流浪汉也没有？这不是老美的人做的游戏吗？图形ui老旧，字体有乱码，让人感觉像是00~10年代的游戏；有的地图线路数量超过最大可建造站台数，只能看着干着急，对强迫症玩家不友好；游戏内事件有些挑战性太强，鼠患如果没有到捕鼠器阶段特别容易暴毙，还有高温日等等；网络沙盒如果到后期阶段回去打最开始的关卡特别不赚钱，乘客需求又暴增，也容易暴毙；每到一个新关卡刚进去那段时间太让人畏手畏脚了，前期关卡给12000后期刚开始才给14000？数值设计很抠搜，但也算一个挑战；还有植物必须浇水到超过大概80%才能拆掉，垃圾桶必须空的才能拆掉，何意味？如果上述缺点能接受，等打折十几块则可以玩玩，原价不推荐。

Tout d'abord, je voudrais adresser mes hommages au très regretté Dan Field sans qui je n'aurai pas découvert ce jeu et bien d'autres. Overcrowd est un jeu de simulation de station de métro que je trouve très réaliste, avec les usagers les plus fragiles et exigeants de la terre. Vous ajoutez à ça, Randy Hazard qui est sorti de Rimworld pour vous envoyez les pires calamités. Ce qui, si vous n'êtes pas préparé va faire fondre votre réputation comme neige au soleil. C'est un jeu où il faut prendre son temps et développer sa station au fur et à mesure. Où la moindre erreur ou oubli peut se terminer en game over. Graphiquement, je le trouve agréablement rétro. La difficulté est là et c'est franchement un vrai plaisir de voir sa station animée et réussir à tout connecter. Le petit plus qui permet d'améliorer son personnel et le rendre plus performant. Non ce jeu est une petite pépite et pour son prix, il vaaut largement le coup.

I didn't really have fun with this game. The construction hits that tycoon game vibe that I was looking for. But having to manually tell the trains to come and go in the early levels killed that for me. That can be automated later, but I didn't like the grind to automate it, the trains should have gone on their own from the start.

he text size is too small to play comfortably on my 14" laptop. Fortunately, on my 27" 4K monitor connected to my PC, it is playable. Sadly, it seems the creators of this game did not take into account that the text might be too small for some players, and it is too difficult to change due to how the game is programmed.

Now it’s time to properly try out the game. It looks amazing, and from what I’ve played so far, it’s a fun game.

1 hour into game, found game breaking bug, in the settings.
Lock mouse to window / windowed mode. Mouse slams up top. had to find a file to delete, to clear that.
Debating on refunding now, seems abandoned back in 2021.
Got on sale for 4.
Decided to go ahead and keep it. If i play 8hrs, ill consider this worth the spend.
- cloud sync doesnt seem to sync the game save of the station, maybe just gamestate of the Network?
Means i dont want to play it on my 2nd pc at another location.

本来想复刻北京三线汇合大站的，或者东京JR东京站的恢弘场面。但是的确是太不自由了。很多设计莫名其妙。就像玩上个世纪的古老游戏，很多现在模拟游戏应该有的东西都没有。卖76是有点贵了已经。为什么不能造多层地铁站，地图不大，有7条地铁线路，只能做5个站台。底层设计是有矛盾的，给了很多东西但是我却不能自由开发。并且很多东西反直觉，特别是那个右键打开界面

Could've been interesting, but the dealbreaker for me is how the game limits itself unneccessarily.

Asymmetrical items like the turnstile can only be placed one way, instead of both ways.

Platforms cannot be placed on top of each other. What an absurd limitation. Because sure, as we all know, not a single building in the world has more than 1 story, since it is impossible to build over something.

Speaking of absurdity: Apparently a bench can not seat more people than a chair. Then why even have the chair as an option? Also, King's guards as policemen?

This game is addicting and i have very much enjoyed it but i am near the end of my play-through and it is hard to recommend it to anyone since the SKILL TREE (the game calls them some other term) winds up exhausted somewhere near the middle of the game and there is no way to get higher-quality items beyond "level 3"??? i am not at the game end just yet but i am NOT enjoying the quickly-diminished skill tree part of leveling up my placed items. This is my only complaint is that i wish the game had level 4 and upward of all the other items you place in your subway, during the game. The only level 4 item i have seen so far is the Electric substation generator. I have not seen level 4 item quality of any other placed items yet? WHY IS THIS? The millage where you can buy perks and upgrades and new items to place, also runs out just after the middle of the game progression and that is a very bad letdown. OVERALL I DO RECOMMEND THIS GAME as the devs DID enact GREAT EXECUTION of their game, but the whole thing (in terms of upgrades and bought progression items) just peters out just after mid-way playing through it and it is a bad let-down.

Overall, the game is good , not bad at all.
But one thing that feels really dumb is the system where you have to call in the subway train to pick up passengers. It’s so strange. In the real world, trains run on a fixed schedule or frequency. Where on earth do subway trains stop running and wait for someone to order them to show up?

This game had potential but as it stands I can't recommend it as it's very rough and unpolished. In particular, it has the worst sound effects I've ever encountered. Some of which are for repetitive events meaning you don't just hear the horrible sounds once in a while, no you hear them constantly. Over and over.

It's really too bad as he core concept of managing and building out custom metro stations is very appealing to me. I really had high hopes for this one. The last update was four years ago so it looks like they chose not to improve the game or correct any of the problems.

If you like real-time simulations, this might be up your alley. I think there's an immense amount of value in this game for the price it's being sold at.

If you go in blind, this game is by no means easy. Even on easy mode and with infinite money I essentially game over-d shortly before finishing the challenge for my 3rd station.

I was trying to speed-run things on my first go, which just ended. I feel like this game is made to build things bits at a time. Building things bits at a time ensures that your power grid and staff management don't have a crisis.

Game is fun. Manage a metro station. Or manage a 'network' of them.
First play a solo station, to get the hang of running the entire operations. Then when you feel comfy, set out and play the main 'intended' game mode after. You'll have lots of fun playing this game, for a fair price when it is not on sale, and a steal when it goes on sale. Worth a buy at any price.

不值得原价买，甚至我十几块买的都嫌贵了，十块以下可以尝尝咸淡。
先说缺点：
优化差（剧情第二个站台就给我卡的不顺畅了）
UI差（虽然是休闲小游戏，但这UI质感太差了，字体丑，UI诡异）
菜单使用体验差（切出游戏必暂停，每次切出去回个消息，回来游戏都暂停了，无法理解）
上手有点难度的，很容易破产
容易腻，我玩了两个站台就腻了
再说优点：
不贵
站台后期可以自动化，适合挂机

Honestly, I would recommend this game if it wasn't a broken mess with worse UI/UX I've seen in a Tycoon game.. um.. maybe in last few months.

Game hasn't been fixed, developers abandoned it and moved on.

Meanwhile, bugs galore.

Trains sometimes don't show up, your staff can't be selected once seated, items can't be sold or moved, rooms cannot have doors moved (forcing you to create entire new room, move items painfully.. if they are allowed to be moved), etc.

The UI/UX is a nightmare, designed like it was designed for gamepads or mobiles, not for PC. You can't even tell if you are missing lights because of the crappy lighting, until the customers start complaining about "gloomy" station, which doesn't make any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense when you are building overground stations (also, won't the underground stations be pitch black then?).

I can keep listing the issues with this game, but the fact that the developers never bothered fixing or improving this game, says a lot about how much they care about their own work in the long run.

PS: If you see any gameplay hours after this review, it doesn't mean the game is suddenly good. It means I'm trying to squeeze entertainment out of something I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paid for and can't refund.

It's okay but I found the basic building functions of the game to be extremely clunky and annoying. Just building rooms and layout is a pain in the ass so it's really hard to bring myself to play the main game mode wherein they want you to make dozens of stations.

If you're okay with that though, the management portion of the game seems pretty in-depth, though I don't think I played it long enough to know if it gets substantially worse with huge stations with a full roster of staff.

Best train station management game that I have seen in my entire gaming life. Well designed and I hardly encounter any bugs except a minor one.

Love the commuters, their movements and especially the vibrant colours all around. It makes the whole station looks busy and lively.

If you like managing trains, planning commuter paths and keeping a train station clean and in working order amidst the chaos in it, then this game is truly for you.

All thanks to the 2 developers, who happened to be husband and wife. Hope to see you complete your next game.

其次感觉游戏比较难上手，经常会有经济瓶颈；而且车型就只有三种；
地图也最多支持5个站台，而且希望能够支持指定边上下车（开放了双边后上下不确定在哪边）；
希望能够实现像广州3号线体育西的设计；
角度也挺有问题的，四个固定角度有时候有些地板点不到；

目前还不能让我满意，65或亦45我觉得都不太值，看后续改进吧；

Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up est un jeu de gestion incroyablement prenant et satisfaisant qui capture parfaitement l'expérience chaotique mais gratifiante de construire et gérer une station de métro.

Ce qui ressort le plus, c'est sa boucle de gameplay addictive. Il est facile de se lancer et de comprendre les bases, mais il y a une quantité surprenante de profondeur stratégique à mesure que vous agrandissez votre station, gérez le flux de passagers et faites face à toutes sortes de défis inattendus. Le jeu réussit merveilleusement à vous donner l'impression d'être un maître planificateur, même quand les choses tournent mal !

J'apprécie particulièrement le style artistique charmant en pixel art et l'humour astucieux qui imprègne le jeu. C'est un titre qui ne se prend pas trop au sérieux, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. La progression est très gratifiante à mesure que vous débloquez de nouvelles technologies et optimisez votre station pour une efficacité maximale. De plus, les performances sont solides et l'interface est intuitive, ce qui garantit une expérience fluide du début à la fin.

Si vous cherchez un jeu de gestion unique et très rejouable avec un thème génial, Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up vaut vraiment votre temps. Hautement recommandé !

this is the type of game that i just love, but tutorial is not clear enough and looks like many players have similar questions that i had, so i ended up checking them out. in terms of gameplay it is so hectic and fun. i would say that this has not met its full potential, i hope the developers are still working to improve this game.

比想象中难度要高，个人认为游戏难度主要来自于一些设计bug：
- 无法撤回。不知道是不是我没有发现正确的撤回按键，但是建造类无法撤回太增加难度，特别是有上下楼层的情况下。而且视角无法换角度（毕竟不是3D），导致经常找不到砖块在哪里。虽然可以单独查看各楼层，但有点反直觉。
- 自动保存具体多久一次不确定，但游戏有崩溃风险，保存也不是快捷键保存，有可能损失进度。
- 引导做得不够细，有些设备如电梯怎么设置，如果有引导会更好，不过慢慢也可以摸索出来。
- 始终不知道为什么垃圾桶需要清空才可以挪动和卖掉，感觉是无用设计。

除此之外游戏关于地铁建造的设计还是挺精致的，包括使用的设备丰富多元化，甚至具有一些科普性（对西方国家地铁）。难度也算是循序渐进，会让人停不下来。后期设备高级了，员工几乎满级，整体体验会好很多，比较像是放置类游戏了。

I have had a horrible first 30 minutes mainly because of the clunky 2D multilevel building mechanic, that just did not work. Excavating and building floors was so extremely infuriating, that I did not make it through the 2nd tutorial. It showed that one of the main functions this game features just does not work because of its 2D aesthetic, thus blocking your view at every step. Dammit.

Overcrowd is not only a management and sim game, it's also very much a strategy game. Each station is unique and has to be built in a different way to accomplish your goals. You have free range to do that however you want, which is lots of fun when it works out, but can seem frustrating if it fails. There are different difficulty levels, so it can be as challenging (or not!) as you'd like.

When things are going well, it's fun to sit back and watch your sim: where do people go? what do they buy? did they make it onto their train in time? hey, that guy is drunk! He's puking everywhere! The mop? do we have enough mops?!

When things get iffy (like your station reputation is dropping) it's time to go into management mode: buy the right tools, get your staff into position, lower prices, put in a new lvl 3 plant.

As you progress, you can upgrade both your staff and facilities to make each station easier and more successful. The later levels can be very complicated with large stations, several tracks and entrances, and three different floors to add elevators to. Honestly I stick with the easier levels for a more chill experience.

I do wish the developers had fixed a few quality-of-life issues, like the trains reverting back to the default color every time you extend the track, but none of those things impedes your ability to fully enjoy the game.

I've always wanted to do a subway management sim game. This is only for a station (or a system of stations), but it scratches the itch for me.

Loved building the station, setting up paid areas, designing things as they go and how to direct commuter traffic to and from platforms. Building the station on multiple levels.

Not as big as a fan of those events (eg multiple people having flu/many vandals etc). Also staffs go into break with the tools still equipped and you have to manually unequip them. Commuters have a lot of asks (especially when you unlock new stuff) and reputation can be hard to maintain in the early game. Not being able to build at the same vertical space of an existing tile. The screams are...genuine. The tutorial is too simple, I recommend you try things out in sandbox mode first.

I guess I liked it enough to make it a recommend, though.

我没见过比这更恶心人的模拟建筑类游戏，表面上充满了自由度，事实上因为铁轨不能改变，以及有逆天障碍区，所有的构建思路都必须围绕着这两点设计，非常不自由。
一共可以挖上中下三层空间，但它们不能并列，每转动一次视角固定是90度，加之障碍区的存在，挖地时经常卡视角，挖地逻辑也有很大的问题，最终放弃的原因是有几堵墙，无论如何我都填不平。
员工的工作逻辑过于繁琐，休息时间非常长，如果你不想浪费大量空间用于摆放工具，那么最佳做法是每个人只干一种活，然而员工名额是非常紧张的；
简单的两关教程后，上来就是汹涌的人潮、爆炸的垃圾桶、刁民的各种需求，不满足甚至会发生暴乱事件，留给你的是一地狼狈，第二天你想先收拾，不想开门营业都不行，以上还是建立在全部资源拉满+最低难度的情况。
对不起，我智商有限，接受不了这比戴森球计划还困难的模拟建筑游戏。

Very fun game, but still very buggy. People getting stuck on tracks, reputation plummeting because a train that should be in the station never arrived and holds the station hostage, the type of bugs that feel like they should have been discovered in beta if I'm seeing them. Tutorial could also use some love, a lot of necessary info is not explained. I had to consult guides to understand key things that could not be done, that are not obvious. Sign of a tutorial that needs an overhaul. If these things are cleaned up, this will be a fantastic game, and I'll update my review to reflect that. As it is, I would say the gameplay is good, and the price is reasonable. Based on those, I'll give it a thumbs up, but I would caution people before purchasing that it's not a completely polished experience.

Dieses Spiel hat überraschende Herausforderungen, aber leidet ein unter fehlenden Umsetzungen zur bequemlichkeit (Kann keine wechselnden Audioausgabegeräte automatisch erkennen, Lässt zu, dass man durch das Baumenü klicken kann, kann zur Tunnelbearbeitung führen).

Macht aber trotzdem Spaß zu spielen und kann mit der Optik von allen vier Seiten überzeugen.

Great game to play. At first it was a little confusing but going through the tutorial and then after testing around in sandbox mode, its easy to manage and improve. No major bugs or issues but only complaint is trying to hire staff. You will get lucky to hire more than 4 staff but it all depends/RNG. You might get 2 staff or after several days, get no staff to hire.

I usually like building/sim games but this gave me a headache. Having to procure every item and tool takes a long time because bonds are gained by accomplishing achievements. Hiring staff is extremely expensive and making money is slow as well. The tutorial was not very good and basic. Building on multiple floors is also challenging to do especially when money is hard to come by. If you like a grind, go for it.

Overly simple tutorial that barely covers the basics, but already on the first level of network sandbox your station gets bombarded at the first minute by a ♥♥♥♥ ton of commuters that get mad at everything for no reason. The fact that you basically have to procure even the most basic of the tools and utilities for the station to work doesn't make it easier. You could at least start with the basic tools and then you can procure better ones... do I really have to explicity ask for a WHEELIE BIN? I mean, come on. It's like "you have to start a hospital, but ♥♥♥♥ you if you need beds or nurses" Maybe I'm complaining too much but the game isn't as casual as it's sold. Not my cup of tea, really.
