Really good game to play, very realistic now just with graphics but with how the storm and tornado moves. Plenty of kind people to help you out when starting and worth the money in my opinion.
Still though it needs a little work like adding other types of tornados like maybe a wedge or two still though very fun and just the right amount of challenge.
As someone who loves Storm Chasing in real life. This game takes the edge off on the downtimes. Helps sharpen your skills reading radar and figuring out where Tornados will drop.
класная игра но только большие торнадо вообще не спавнятся ну а так игра имба
The radar and chase is great cannot wait to see more updates!
I have played quite a bit of this game during the off season, its a great way to keep my training sharp, but since 2024 the game has died, they claim it follows real storm models, but it doesnt, its scripted to have the tornadoes follow a certain path, those paths also as of late break from how storms work in real life, the radar doesnt refresh as often as real world radars, there has been little to no development since 2024, if you try to use real world training in this game you only get within 500ft of the tornado, but if you make a guide by taking screenshots of where the tornado passes you can pretty much get the most from every run, i do not suggest buying this game as its over priced for what it offers, you are better off with some random storm chasing game on roblox than paying $35 on this, the tutorial doesnt really teach you anything, alot of stuff in the game are also cosmetic, they removed wall clouds like 8 months ago, and they havent given an update as to when the TIV2 is suppose to come out, last i heard was september 25th 2025 that they had just started texture work, i highly suggest to find a different game, the developers are highly hostile, as far as breaking steam TOS and banning people from their game claiming they broke their TOS even tho i took apart their TOS to see what rules they broke to get banned, they didnt break any. Toxic developers.
its fun but needs a few graphics updates ESPECIALLY on the map.
Game is great and understand its an early access. The Multiplayer is a tad glitchy but fun, steering physics with keyboards are a little difficult to get used to. The other storm chasing game will always be my favorite but this comes close in second.
THE best Storm chasing game I have EVER played, better than the ones on Roblox. The community is friendly, the Devs work on the game (but the discord isn't the best, i recommend not joining it), and its pretty realistic despite it being still in Early Access.
The vehicle and character customization is nice and they have the Dominator 3 (the TIV 2 will be coming soon thankfully). Though i think that the Tornados themselves can be a bit more realistic, I've seen a EF2 size tornado with 277 mph winds (which i think is the highest winds you can get)

♪Oh, isn't it fantastic?♫
Why?
Making a guide for players to enjoy this game, players who do not have the MIT degree for meteorology, players who I see driving around cluelessly on the map and players who disconnect from matches when they don't see a single tornado in their entire scenario to put the game down until such time they feel like picking it back up only to do the above all over again.
Tutorial? All this game teaches you is to learn it yourself. So, time to google and get your make-pretend degree in storm chasing, meteorology and the interpretation of radar imagery that comes over many, many years of skill usually!
Yes, that's why we got banned. "Reverse engineering" the game, seeing things player shouldn't. Okay Moarnial, where is the evidence we have done this, please and thank you? Because you're supporting this narrative we're the Big Baddies of your community, and all we get when anyone confronts you is "talk to us privately". So you can do what? Extort us? Threaten us? Or try to "make a deal" with us to take down what we made for players so you can feel good about yourself one more day?
Oh please.
We made the guide to help YOUR GAME flourish, but you seem to be unable to understand this, or somehow comprehend that players don't really like your game as-is, and that we add a fun-factor for the casual gamers. Gamers that, you know, just want to chase spinny winds and don't share apparently your incredibly specific thoughts on storm chasing. It's a niche genre that you're gatekeeping behind everything I've written here.
My god, Moarnial. You needed a hill to die on. Guess you chose this one.

I've played 604 hours of Outbrk, so believe me when I tell you, this game had potential to be something great, but through poor design, terrible development, and a malicious lead developer, Outbrk with it's current form and team is not something I would recommend purchasing.
Learning Curve
Despite being a game designed around a single map and rotating scenarios, the learning curve far exceeds the general publics ability to properly play the game. Even when the community gathered together to create a scenario guide for new players, the development balked at the notion and disavowed such training aids and permanently banned players who helped new players in the game. As such the player base has dwindled to a few dozen active players.
Malicious Lead Developer
The lead developer has a poor habit of blaming the player base for not playing the game the way he intends, while ignoring the numerous issues the player base has raised since the game's early access launch. Numerous graphics issues, frequent crashes, unstable game mechanics, frequent memory leaks, and unoptimized elements have lead to OutBrk to be a mess of a game. The lead developer frequently bans players to complain that they are not getting their money's worth or that the game lacks the development for such a price point. The OutBrk team has quite the reputation for unprofessionalism and pettiness that many early kick starters have abandoned the game completely.
Broken Promises
Finally, OutBrk has failed to live up to the hype as most scenarios use the same tornado models, same paths, and the same uninspired approach that land squarely on the development team lack of gameplay design and overconfidence in themselves.
Verdict
Spend your money elsewhere, this game will remain unfinished, broken, and run poorly that it will not last. Take it from someone who invested hundreds of hours to try and make OutBrk better, it is not worth it.
0 out of 5
Side note, if you do intend to play, report and avoid Garodah, known for extremely toxic behavior, racial slurs, transphobic, and incel like streams.
Will not support devs who ban people on allegations. Huge L by Sublime.
not a good game in terms of graphics and tornado types but really cool and realistic just wish dom3 was cheaper better interceptions and more tornado types
Fun game but it too me is not worth 35 dollars as a huge weather nerd snice 10 years old this is a great game but not for 35 dollars maybe 20 or 15
it is a very fun game:
go to the tornado
get picked up by the tornado
die
played it learnt asked for a ride in the dom3 intercepted my first nado. PLOT TWIST! only ropes i only saw ONE funnel guys ONE funnel still peak game also once i ntereptred a nado with my vehickle 10 out of 10
Highly recommended!
I just finished my most recent game.
I followed the dominator.
Put out a probe.
Got 277 MPH winds, from the probe!
Filmed a beautiful stove top EF-5
445 KPH (277 MPH)
A beautiful, beast!
Literally had to flee for the virtual life!
I went from hunter, to prey in seconds!!!
It was chasing me. I pulled over, thinking I was clear.
My vehicle begins to lift up.
I was able to struggle free from the winds,
as the Dominator flies by me!
My vehicle windows are shattered with large hail.
On the way back to retrieve my probe, that had the 277 MPH winds.
I was driving full speed, and ran into a tree in the middle of the road.
Blood everywhere! Then had to avoid numerous pieces of debris.
I finally made it back, retrieved the probe. And began uploading my data.
I look down at my gas gauge, and it was low. So I knew I had to get gas soon.
I had to go back through the debris field. And I was hauling butt to the gas station.
And wouldn't you know it, I literally ran out of gas, within sight of the gas station.
So I had to call the tow truck, for the gas station within sight, lol.
I called the tow truck, got gas, and chased another tornado.
Nothing nearly as the first one.
277 MPH winds, LEGENDARY!
If you are looking for a storm chasing game then look no further. This is the perfect online co-op game with a very kind and welcoming community filled with learned weather fanatics. I can honestly say its amazing for an early access game. I am very exited for the future of this game!
For a game that is in the beta stage as of 2026 is actually pretty good. I like the aesthetics of world, also the details on clouds and tornadoes themselves, and the structures around the map. I also like how the tutorial isn't some tutorial that just teaches you the basics with no way to skip them like in every modern game. this one at least shows a video making the learning experience kinda like when you in class. very unique
i am pumped to see what this game is gonna offer when it is fully finished and released
here are my complaints about it with 4 hours of experience
1. Roads feel deserted - The roads mainly in solo gameplays (because i prefer playing single player) lack any sort of traffic. there is no cars unless if you are in a town where you can find parked cars at houses or in parking lots nearby businesses. i feel very alone while doing a solo chase
in chases i think there should be added Ai traffic. they would follow speed limits, general traffic rules and move differently depending on what situation they're in. emergency services should also be in traffic like police on the freeway that actually can ticket you and deduct funds from the chase when you commit a traffic violation like speeding, running lights, running signs etc. after tornado hits a town the police, paramedics and or fire fighters rush to the town to look at survivors as like a environmental detail. and Ai stormchasers. when in tornado warnings or severe thunderstorm warnings, you can find chasers parked on the side of a road or in small little meets in these storms surveying the storm. this can be extra detail
2. Lack of character customization - The game gives you 4 characters to choose from. to me that is very little choices compared to many other simulator games. even then there is very little on what you can do with your character. I've also seen some clothing items clip into the player's model
I would like to see some accessories being added like hats, sunglasses, aviators, necklaces, etc. more clothing options and these can be recolored to any color you want. sunglasses can have recolorable lenses, and plastic
3. Lack of vehicle customization and Options - Minus the Dom 3, the Live Storm Chaser Altitude, and the Extreme Tornado Tours Vanguard. there is limited options on the regular vehicles. there is decals, bullbars, storm chasing equipment, and interior stuff but not too many options to play around with. there could be more decals but also we get a feature that lets us make our own decals that we can use on our vehicles. and also there is no "normal" trucks in the game. the Dom 3 being the only vehicle in the game that is technically a truck but we're missing normal trucks like a fiction depiction of a Ford F-150, or a 90's Dodge ram, newer Dodge Rams, or a Chevrolet Silverado 1500. these vehicles being the best off road vehicles in the game and very high gas levels
4. Visual Problems - Some visual stuff i've noticed while playing is the lack of mirror details. the mirrors in vehicles are useless since they have no reflection of any sort
When i find a tornado. i tend to see the dirt and debris cloud first but i don't see the funnel until i get up closer to it. idk if i am just seeing it wrong or this is a visual problem
These are my suggestions. but there could be more or less later down the line
Great gamer love all the graphics to this game definantly download.
mmh, well, I got into the suck zone...
its very realistic storm chasing game and good comunity 10/10
I understand this game is still in development, but honestly it feels like it has nowhere to really go in its current state.
The idea of a storm-chasing simulator sounds amazing on paper, but the actual gameplay has almost no depth. After the first few storms you’ve basically experienced everything the game offers. You drive around, storms spawn, take a photo or collect some data, and repeat the same thing over and over. The novelty wears off very quickly and the game becomes repetitive.
Another big issue is that storms show up way too fast. Instead of having a realistic buildup where you track a storm and prepare for it, the game just throws storms at you constantly. It ends up feeling artificial and rushed rather than immersive. Storm chasing should have tension and anticipation, but here it just feels like random events spawning on a timer.
The game also lacks a real career progression system. There aren’t meaningful long-term goals, proper progression, or systems that make you feel like you’re building a storm-chasing career. Without that sense of growth, there isn’t much motivation to keep playing once the initial excitement fades.
Even basic gameplay systems feel underdeveloped. The world feels empty, the gameplay loop is extremely shallow, and there isn’t enough variety to keep things interesting for more than a short session. It feels less like a full game and more like a tech demo showing off weather effects.
I get that early access games take time, and I’m not expecting perfection. But the problem here is that the core gameplay loop itself already feels limited. If the main loop isn’t engaging now, it’s hard to see how the game builds into something deeper later without major changes.
Unfortunately, games like this often struggle to survive long-term. Smaller simulation projects can easily run into funding and development problems, and if the player base drops off early it becomes even harder for the developers to keep improving the game.
There is definitely potential here, and the concept is cool, but right now the game feels unfinished, shallow, and repetitive. It needs a lot more depth, progression, and meaningful gameplay systems before it can really stand on its own.
Right now it feels more like a proof of concept than a complete game.
Not recommended (at least in its current state).
ran pretty good on my laptop, lowest i had was round 60 moved to pc runs much better but if you can only us a laptop i would say stay on it no need to upgrade if you only play this game
Extremely well made game, especially for still being in development! The player-base is also super friendly and helpful! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Good game, just a little overpriced for what it is.
its very very fun if you like storm weather and storm chasing!!!!
My only two gripes with this game is the price and the performance. 35$ seems a bit steep and the performance isnt aweful but youll feel it on lower end hardware. That being said it passes with flying colors everywhere else. The map you start on is HUGE and the recent rain enhancement makes trying to drive through the core a nightmare because you cant see the road. Currently the game focuses on stovepipes and your regular funnels however they plan to expand that soon.
TLDR: The price point seems steep and the performance is suboptimal at times but its a worthwhile compromise
The game is still a little raw in some parts, but the atmosphere is truly beautiful. Driving in the rain, watching the clouds move, hearing the thunder in the distance, and suddenly spotting a tornado on the horizon is truly amazing, even after hours of play. It's not a game for everyone, but for those who love this kind of atmosphere, it's perhaps unmatched. The weather effects are better than some modded racing titles. In my opinion, it's worth the money, even at full price. Among the downsides, certainly the fact that the map could be enriched, especially in single-player with other cars on the road. Sometimes it feels like you're driving through a post-apocalyptic landscape. Which might even be nice at times
ig yes but you need quite a good pc to run it but overall its quite a good game like srs if your pc can handle ultra then def put it on ultra it looks nice but the textures on the ground are kinda bad but the like props and buildings dont have that bad textures actually its like from mid to high type of textures even if you put it at ultra and best dlss or fsr or blah blah whatever you use so yeah in short i DO recommend this game BUT for now you should wait for a discount trust me since 34 euros is alot for this unfinished game.
Great for someone who wants a thrilling storm chasing exp.
Really fun if you are at all interested into storm chasing and trying to find a game outside of the Roblox storm chasing games. Only major complaints are lack of wider tornados and lack of vehicles, however I do believe both are being worked on
top 124123 game of all time hands down.. tried doing it IRL, this game is gets blood pumping more than IRL
Игра как сама класс, но плохая оптимизация
Still early development, but so far it's the best storm chasing game out there. I'm having fun with it.
one of my favourite games best tornado physics and graphics
very good game worth getting fun with friends
Good storm chasing game, really nothing else like it on steam.
I do wish things weren't so expensive in-game, It's really hard to intercept a tornado with the starting vehicles and even then at most I'm getting like 10k when most of the better vehicles are 150k and up.
The Domintator is in the game which is awesome. but I'll never be able to afford it lol.
really fun game by concept allowing the player to be a storm chaser, however ....... modding support would improve long term enjoyment of the game. It is a bit boring to play alone and takes a bit more time to get the money to unlock new vehicles and tools to get data on storms. im voting recommend on this game based on the potential of it to be more enjoyable to play for longer periods of time in the future.
my tip for the dev team .... allow modding support into the game, its not a PVP shooter its a fun storm chasing game and that will bring more people to the game and increase enjoyment.
a very good game with detailed things. but too hard for new gamers
its so fun and feels real!
Its a really good game with the weather and map but it runs bad and its 34 bucks but if it was like 20 it would be really worth it
I been craving this game for the past 6 months finally brought it yesterday and it alot of fun than expected
muito bom viu vale muito a pena. recomendo ter uma rtx 3050 pelo menos pra jogar sem lag
Joplin Simulator. Excited to see where this game goes.
good idear for a grate game if updated more offen but shame about ther discord surver dont get me rong good player base bad so clamed dev team just cyber bullying abuse for giveing advice so based on game itself good allthow price ther asking no ther chargeing AAA prices for a buggy/faulty game but i wouldent bother wasting money ther menny better games for that type off money and a dev team thats more respectable towords ther players just advoid this game unless you like abuse
Its really good even i beta its still super good with a person with a not a high end or a low end its a W
Date 3/6/2026
Its alright. Need a massive PC for it. Hard to even get a tornado let alone intercept it with a probe. Also, make the dom way cheaper.
yeah its fun and interesting but optimization could be better
its a realistic game play of chasing tornados and has a very realistic pattern of weather
great simulator lots of fun
As someone who does some IRL storm chasing, I love the idea of this game. Definitely a lot of potential, but it's very laggy for me. With some performance issues worked out, this would be a lot fun. Can't wait to see development of this game continue!
super fun just make sure u listen to those doms
Not gonna lie its the nice game even Caseoh played it
Always been a dream to be a Chaser, definitely love this game! (Dying is terrifying) 10 out of 10, would fly again.
I've played this for 20 hours and I'm in love with the game about chasing tornados like I'm in the movie Twister, 10/10. Although there is only one Pick-Up so I do hope to see more trucks in the future.
The game is cool, however the textures are not great, the playerbase is quite small, cloud structures are hard to see, and the price is ludicrous relative to what we actually get. FPS and lag is good for me. The game is a great idea, it just needs a better price and some graphics upgrades.
This game has been awesome, I know nothing about weather, looking at radars but it really fun chasing these storms. The players I have encountered are really friendly and helpful. Really would like to see more vehicles like trucks and different SUVs, and a little less costly on the vehicles. Needs a overhaul on the acceleration in the vehicles. They need to down shift and rev out, when going up a hill dont need to slow down when ur flooring it to a crawl almost, fix that and some other small things that will mainly improve things, this game will be very hard to beat. Highly recommend to play!!!
Fakt super hra... samozrejme ze to ma buggy, ale pracuju na tom a kazdy update prinasa, lepsie a lepsie veci ..
As someone becoming more interested in storm chasing with plans to major in meteorology/atmospheric sciences in college and looking into NOAA/NWS internships and student opportunities, this game is extremely well made for a game still quite early in development.
The variety in storms and the unpredictability of said storms is simulated very well. Despite the grindy nature and the slightly lackluster awards unless you have an absolutely perfect chase, there is a lot of replayability because of the wide variety of scenarios, which will have you trying your hardest to make as much money to inevitability purchase the Dominator.
With that being said, it seems to have a strong singleplayer side to the game, with the multiplayer having some issues with connectivity (at least in my experiences). The vehicle tuning could use work, but they are able to be handled well enough. The map, though very large, is very lackluster in its marked locations/towns, with no decently developed urban/suburban areas (which I wouldn't be surprised if it was in works or in later plans). What I'd like to see is a wider variety of vehicles to fit the already very wide array of customizable options, as well as longer sessions that last for in-game days that involve planning stages of intercepting the storms.
Overall, a great game with a lot of potential and well fleshed out features for what is available, and I'm very much looking forward to the future updates and developments.
TLDR: Good.
While having it's faults as the game is currently in development, it sure is a lot of fun.
The price is a bit steep for people that aren't fanatical enjoyers of storm chasing, i've always watched "Storm Chasers" as a kid and this game does a great job simulating that.
It's great to see a very active development team putting out frequent updates and previews.
I'd love to own the Dominator and TIV2 one day, it's quite a grind but i'm having fun.
One of my wishes for the game is to have a functional Doppler on Wheels implemented.
Keep up the great work!
Not recommanded for now they dont optimazed the game.. run at 40fps at low on a 9800x3d and 5070ti with 64gig on a NVME drive and they said i need to upgrade my config thats it if i wanna more FPS
Best storm chasing game I've ever played. Its amazing already and they continue to make it better and better.
Very fun, some bugs but awesome and realistic tornados. I love the customization and progression. Also like how the game is still in alpha so there is a lot to come.
This game has amazing tornado graphics, only thing is you need a good desktop! But amazing game also for all the items you can purchase for you vehicle and new probes.
Yes, But i got Chat banned for no reason so most i would rate the game by it self a 10/10 but because i found out it was a bug i would rate the games all in all score a 9/10 because of the bugs that is the only reason i rate it a 9/10.
AMZN GAME
(Devs look at my frnd's reveiw his user is AtlasWX)
Amazing.Best game of all time in my opinion.
I do love this OUTBRK Game Early Access for just playing 2 days. However, there is a lot of Potential for this Game to be absolutely successful.
My idea for the future of OUTBRK is, having other Map locations because in real life of Tornado Outbreaks, you want other map portions of different US States for Storm Chaser Gamers out there because Meteorologists always have to go through Challenging roadmap scenarios. I would love to see possible Maps for the Dixie Alley Area.
My Last idea is by adding more typical Vehicles on the list and maybe other Tornado Intercept Vehicle Models in the Game. It is great to have Dominator 3 on the list but maybe the Game Developer can probably make their own designs of a Tornado Intercept Vehicles in the future.
Now, for the downsides for this Game, please add XeSS Upscaling for Intel Arc dGPU owners. To the Game Developer Team, please fix your CPU Multi-Threading on AMD CPUs from your Game Engine because my Ryzen 7-7700X isn't using all of the CPU Threads effectively which is resulting terrible framerates and causing me to crash due to the Game Engine not optimized on CPU parallel processing on all CPU Threads. My Ultra 9 185H is doing alright on parallel processing on all CPU Thread however, the Usage is still kind of low so I would love to see huge improvement on CPU parallel processing for both AMD and Intel without the use of DLSS, FSR and XeSS Upscaling to play the Game at Native Resolution possible.
Очень интересная игра ,рад что купил ее
Pretty difficult at first, but after a couple of chases, i figured it out.
W game, havent seen a single bug, keep it up, creators!
game does not currently work
A very good game for a Beta, I would defo play again when they update it. <33
Pros:
-You get to meet new people
-Get to chase storms
-Upgrades
Cons:
-Tutorial is weird
-Didn't like that the severs you join expire
- Could make earning easier
-Don't like that push talk is the only option
Ideas:
- Should add new maps, more vehicle variety
-Npc's to rescue
-Maybe A selection of quests
Great game! It's a different kind of fun but it captures the feeling of storm chasing very well.
I'm absolutely in love with this game. It's pretty wild to do what ive always wanted to do, in the safety of my living room. Would recommend to anyone who loves storms
ngl the beta was bad. I'm very proud of the way the game has evolved. The support is top tier, the game runs much better. a lot to love. looking forward to enjoying it now.
Spiel macht Spaß, bin gespannt auf die Zukunft und Updates
Like love, it can lift you out of reality—or quietly take care of your pockets.
I fall in Love, how about you?
The price is unjustifiably high given the lack of content
Nul eteint eclate au sol ! 35e pour cette daube
has the graphics of a ps3 game. measly fps, and it doesn't even have an option for steering wheels. mid af
Whatever you do DO NOT USE high in quick chase or youll go mach hell to outta bounds...10/10 will fly faster than the tornado after clipping into the map
Fun game, especially with friends or a good group of chasers. Whole lot of room for improvement, but still a good time.
a great game does need improvements but i recommend this a ton its fun with friends just to warn this game takes patience and time so dont get on with little time casue it takes time :)
Totally recommend this game if you're interested in storm chasing or tornado development.
Juegazo brutal, si sabes de storm chasers, nunca te metas al tornado sin el dom 3 sales volando epicamente y mueres 10/10 Brutal
clouds: perfection
weather: perfection
realism: perfection
everything else: needs heavy polish
Very good game bud i would add more interceptors like dominator 3 is cool bud i would love tiv 1 and 2 and dominator 1 and 2 if you will add these i think the game would be better and more fun i would kill to have those in this very good stormchasing game
Overall, really cool concept for a very niche field of study.
- Is it worth $35 as a casual gamer? Probably not. If you don't want to learn how to read weather maps, you are going to feel like you are playing "driving in the rain simulator - gas station edition"
- Is it worth $35 as a serial hobbiest or weather nerd? Absolutely! If you like learning new things or really like storm chasing and adverse weather, the realistic weather modeling is really cool. It is a weird flex when you are in a multiplayer map and you are the one sitting in front of the first cell to produce a tornado while everyone else picked losers.
Oddly enough, this game's learning curve reminds me a lot of Kerbal Space Program: kind of frustrating if you don't know what you are doing and you get better at it faster by studying a real world scientific field, then applying it to the game. To me, that is the hallmark of a great simulator.
This is very cool 10/10 everywhere in the game love it so far I highly recommend you get this game.
*This review will be updated in the future, as the game is still in development, and is in early access/BETA mode.*
As an avid tornado lover and a storm chaser myself, I knew I needed to try out this game after seeing several other people play this game.
Pros:
~ Realistic to actual storm chasing. I love how the radar and map is set up, and that you can check different settings for the radar. You're also not gonna get a tornado every single time, which is realistic to real life.
~ I do think it's unique that this game appears to be set in the state of either Colorado or Wyoming, rather than being set in the great plains.
~ The game has pretty good graphics, and is the best out of all of the storm chasing games that are currently available on Steam. The rain physics are realistic, and I love how the tornadoes themselves look.
~ Other than the sensitivity and vehicle swerving, if you can manage to drive, it does feel smooth.
~ I really love that you can submit different weather reports. Tornado, wall clouds, and funnel clouds. Submitting the reports are also easy.
~ The gameplay is pretty fun, and the map itself apart from the lack of road networks, is really nice.
Cons:
~ If you have photosensitivity like I do, I highly recommend you avoid punching hail cores or chasing HP supercells. I recommend instead chasing around the edge of the storm and chasing LP supercells. I truly hope that the developers will add a photosensitivity option for those who have it. Don't remove the lightning entirely, but please have a setting that reduces the amount of lightning flashes for us.
~ Driving on here is a mess, even with the sensitivity bar being on the lowest setting possible. It feels like I'm driving drunk and swerving all over the road, and I find myself fishtailing and off the road a good chunk. I hope that the developers will fix this issue, and help the driving feel a bit more stable.
~ The road network could be better. I feel there's not enough roads, and you wind up having to chase the tornadoes off road a good bit. I hope that more roads will be added to the map.
~ Tornadoes mostly look the same. There's a lack of variety in tornado types, which I feel is unrealistic. Most of the tornadoes are rope tornadoes. I hope that the developers will add different tornado types. (Stovepipes and Wedges for example.)
~ Taking pictures is a bit of a pain, and I truly hope that this will be improved upon in the future. I don't like that it has the photo similarity to last as long as it does. Even if you change different positions, it won't go away until you have driven some distance to try to take another picture. I feel having a middle ground to pictures would be great.
Overall, this game has a ton of potential, and I can see this game being one of the best storm chasing games out there. I really enjoy playing this game despite the flaws, which I no doubt, believe can be worked upon.
My rating: 3 out of 5 stars. I recommend giving this gave a shot if you really love tornadoes and storm chasing.
Would I recommend this game to others? Maybe, if you want something different to play or if you dream of being a storm chaser.
If you're new to storm chasing, they do give you a brief but somewhat shallow tutorial about reading radar.
They have three chase modes: Solo Chase for single player, Quick Chase for multiplayer with random chasers and Group Chase for you and your friends.
You start off with a small car and the more storm reports you make with your phone, pictures with your camera and probe placement near the tornado the more points you get to upgrade your car, equipment and to customize your character and car. Just make sure you get to the gas station before you leave the chase to get all the points you made.
When customizing your car, the only real upgrades you need are your lights (so you can see better in dark conditions) and the probe receiver plus/pro. If you think upgrading the mobile weather station to a mesonet or the low profile antenna to an internet antenna is going to help, it's not. Don't waste the points.
The game does give three contacts. You can cancel one and they will give a new one.
Quick Chase is usually filled with awesome, respectful people. If your contract says you have ride with someone for so many miles, there's usually a person who will help attain the goal.
The sound is actually quite good. The graphics aren't the best but the developers have actually been making upgrades to it.
Pros: Developers are actually making updates to games
Multiplayer community is quite friendly
Lots of customization to cars.
Audio is pretty good.
Contracts give you another goal to work for.
Cons: Does have some lag and glitches.
Lots of the equipment that you can buy but doesn't have any upgrade perks or is just cosmetic.
Graphics are ok.
if you even like WATCHING people tornado chase then you will LOVE this game (BTW the controls are easy)
Me: Doesn't play the game for 4 months, proceeds to do a solo chase
Game: Summons an EF5
Not for the faint of heart
You will fail you will die you will meet wonderful people you will cause car accidents you will ...you will intercept monster tornadoes. My advice drive the stock car till Dominator 3 and find the best performance and graphics settings possible. Im at the end game of an early access game. Best decision was getting this game, and playing it. 114 hours in and its still fresh XD.
