I can appreciate what they were trying to go for here.

You can feel the parts of the game that are supposed to be RE:Outbreak.

But uh... Everything about the game is kinda awful. It all feels janky and horrible, and the animations and lighting are just terrible.

Even the AI's movement is just so danm janky.

Fundamentals are there but requires polish. Level designs for the campaign is sufficient enough but hampered by many it's camera angles - which was the main difficulty of the game, not the zombies or special infected.

5/10 game. Solid 2 hours of fun with friends to mess around with it. That is the only reason why I recommend it - with friends only.

Hrozné animace postav, grafika, ovládání a kamera dělá z této zombie akce nehratelnou záležitost, která se snaží napodobit sérii Resident Evil, ale dělá to neúspěšně. Multiplayer jsem nezkoušel, ale nedovedu si ho ani představit s tou nepřehlednou kamerou, nedej bože hrát to na splitscreen. Kdyby někdo hledal ve hře příběh, tak tam žádný není, jde hrát jenom jakési scenario, které se skládá asi se 6 map, na kterých se pořád opakují činnosti jako otevři dveře, zadej kód, nebo dojdi do zeleného čtverečku pro konec mise. To všechno ješte komplikuje omezený inventář na 4 věci. Nedoporučuji.

Tbh I think this game targets a very small niche of players and if you're not in that niche you probably won't like it.

If you:
- Love the older Resident Evil games despite how janky they can be (because trust me this game has all that jank)
- Simultaneously accept that this isn't RE:Outbreak 3, and doesn't have a lot of the features from those games like shouldering injured allies, infection, holding doors open, or barricading
- Don't care about a game's visual integrity or graphics, meaning you're fine with clipping, graphical glitches, and meh animations
- Own a controller (because this would feel like a mess on keyboard)
- Have a friend or two who also meets the above requirements

Then yes, this game can be a blast, but I can see why the reviews are mixed and a lot of people haven't felt the same.

It's a diamond in the rough, but at the end of the day I think it's at least fun and that's all a game really needs to be. Plus, bonus points for having multiple unique playable characters with different attributes, abilities, and upgrades. One of my favorite parts of RE games is how they differentiate the characters (all the unique abilities of the Outbreak cast, and the various different strengths/weaknesses usually found between the two protagonists of any mainline title) so it's nice to see that expressed in a simple but effective way.

Pokud jste hráli původní verzi, tak můžete očekávat stejnou nálož survive a to ve 3D. Je vidět, že autorovi občas ujela ruka a pohledy kamery nebo uložení věcí není zrovna ideální. Naštěstí se to nestává často. Pokud s původním dílem zkušenosti nemáte, tak to vůbec nevadí. Příběh potřeba znát není a rozhodně můžete očekávat atmosféru velice podobnou původní Resident Evilům a jestli myslím původní. Tak ty, kde kamera snímala postavu.

I've finished this game on PS4. Really fun if you're into the old Resident Evil games. The developer really nailed that feeling. All environments feels different and fresh to keep on playing without getting bored. There are additional levels that can be done that is re-ashing the initial levels. I finished 2 of them, but didn't didn't keep my interest. Very much worth the price for a nice trip to RE nostalgia lane!

It was fun after level 1 and before the last level. The last level seemed like the dev stopped caring. Fun for a while with friends, but the modes besides campaign were a bit weak.

This game is a good demonstration of what a passionate lone indie developper can achieve by putting assets to good use and with a good dose of hard work.
It's not without its flaws: animations aren't great, especially for the playable characters; the lighting, including the flashlight, leaves A LOT to be desired; and the enemies lack in both variety and depth (they bum rush you and try to slash you, most times unsuccessfully). The old-school RE camera system isn't for everyone, but it's more of an artistic choice than a flaw (although some camera angles aren't too great).
This is a coop game, which is a rather ambitious undertaking for a lone developper (note: I only played it solo), however, it lacks ambition in most other aspects. All the weapons feel the same, there is no real story, no environmental storytelling (you just read notes and diaries), and nothing ever happens, at least in the first two maps. It's barebone resident evil, and while it works overall pretty well, it feels more like a series of demo levels than an actual game.

In the end, I do recommend this game to people curious to see what a solo indie dev can achieve, to get a quick fix of resident Evil Outbreak with a friend, and perhaps as a source of inspiration, but not to people looking for a fully fleshed out experience. For the 13€ it costs, you get your money's worth, but no more. It might be wise to wait for a sale to grab it.

Как же я мечтал о римейке Резидент Евил Аутбрейк....и видимо не один я об этом мечтал ...но пока кто то мечтает пуская слюни,другие берут и делают ХОТЬ ЧТО ТО ,игра конечно же не шедевр,но она хотя бы отчасти дает возможность вспомнить тот неогранненый и недоценненый алмаз как кооперативный резидент эвил (классический на минуточку),не спрю в игре все плохо оружие картонное,нету разницы с чего стреляеш с АК или с Пистолета,но это не помешало нам завистнуть только на первом сюжете аж на 2 часа и не сказал бы что они были скучными...советую только фанатм старого резидент и только в кооперативе ))) 7/10

NPCの仲間が不在のため、ソロの場合はかなり眠気に襲われながら、マップを右往左往することになる。
　ゴールにたどり着くための、クローバーのカギを開けるための、ハートのカギを開けるための…という”～するための”
のだるーい謎解きをやる羽目になるので、フレンド不在の場合は購入をお勧めしない。
グラフィックやキャラの動作は動画のとおり。インディーズぐらいに思った方がいいでしょう。

悪い点
・「クローバーの」「ハートの」カギシリーズが多い。１ミッションで４，５種類のカギが出てくる。
・鍵のかかったドアがマッピングされないので、どこがロックされてるのか解らなくなる
・ミッション目標が「逃げる」はずなのに、最後のボスを殺さないとクリアできない。
・NPC不在につきソロはしんどい

良い点
・敵を倒したり、プログレスを達成すると経験値が入るので、仮に失敗しても無駄にならない。
・レベルアップすることで基礎ステータスUP＆パークを獲得できる
・視界にとらえたアイテムがマップに書き込まれるので、どこに何があったのかおよそ解る。
・ドロップしたアイテムはその場に残るので、この性質を利用し、
　ロックされたドアの前にアイテムを置くことで、ドアの位置をマッピングするテクニックが有効

Boy oh boy is this bad.
But well, what can you expect from a poorly made asset flip that tries to capitalize on the name recognition of a niche resident evil multiplayer spinoff.

The UI and menus is bad. They will hurt your eyes. They do not enhance or facilitate navigation and the experience at large. To see your party's inventories you must open a separate menu than your inventory. Your own inventory is also opaque, so you can't keep an eye on your surroundings while inspecting it. The use of screen space is not optimized at all. Age-old mechanics are nowhere to be found either: You cannot interact with dropped items unless you have empty space in your inventory - which means that every time you want to pick something up and combine it, like the red herb equivalent, or ammo, you have to free it up.

The controls are also pretty terrible - despite being relatively simple I felt enticed to rebind them, and even then they did not offer as much flexibility as one would expect. To have a comfortable layout I also ended up binding one input to nothing and use my keyboard for it, as there's no space on the controller otherwise. Running also seems to be inconsistent, with the speed seemingly varying for no discernible reason.

Visually the game is also terrible. Animations are pathetic - they also don't indicate your character's health in the slightest, lighting is super contrasted and more often than not too dark, and toggling on your flashlight only makes your eyes hurt more. Shaders mismatch in regards of the players next to the environment. All of it is an asset flip - I doubt there's a single thing you could call original in this game. Levels are labirynthic due to all areas looking the same and having no natural, in-world indication of what they are supposed to be, and even in the map only a few areas are named.

Cameras don't help the navigation either. While I appreciate the ammount of movement most of them have, which to me is a bit of a step up from RE:Outbreak (though overdone at times), you will more often than not get confused when switching cameras because the environment looks the same, so your immediate direction is suddenly unclear. Aside from that, they are positioned in painful ways; too many of them at floor level for some reason, some of them behind blinding fire flames, and most if not all of them, in spaces where players can walk up to and block the view for everyone with their model. This shouldn't be happening to begin with, because the purpose of a camera is to give a clear view of your character and its surroundings at all times. If you ever thought some cameras in RE:Outbreak were painful because they cut off or switched angles at really disadvantageous spots, you will realise here that those were a godsent in comparison.

Enemies are also terrible. They don't sutter, they don't have interesting behaviours, they don't have complex movement. They simply make a beeline for you.
Characters are terrible too. Aside from the varying starter perks they don't have any deep or interesting mecanics that will really change how you play with each. No charging shots - here's some random critical chance.

Overall, the game is completely awful and I can't imagine the author creating this piece of software as a legitimate attempt to recreate RE:Outbreak, rather just trying to sell copies on brand recognition (RE's, not his). But well, hopefully noone will actually fall for that, as anyone who watches the trailer can probably tell most of what I'm explaining on this review. Personally I only purchased it to see how bad it could really get, while the game was on sale.
I hope noone seriously purchases this game expecting to get good old survival horror in an interesting multiplayer format.

TL;DR: An attempt in name only to recreate Resident Evil: Outbreak. It borrows some of the elements from old survival horror games, like tight inventory management and fixed cameras, but does so in name only, as any of the mechanics found here are only there in namy only, and present no depth or complexity, and most mechanics from decade old (if not longer) titles are not even present here. Do not purchase.

So upon impulse buying this game when it was on sale and downloading it, I realized very quickly that it was dead multiplayer wise. Not only did I buy this for myself, but I bought it for a couple friends. We tried for almost the entire time we played it to find each others games and invite, but it just [i]DIDN'T[/i] work. There were some fun aspects to the single player, but I'll cover them in a moment. It seemed like a fun game, and I really wanted to enjoy it, but the cons outweighed the good things.

Poor Harry, being a firefighter and unable to use items he'd have to be trained in to become a firefighter. Like combining healy items to make stronger ones. That's just the big one to me.

I literally had to spend 5 minutes just figuring out how to pick items up or opening doors. It's kind of silly to me that you have to open a different menu to equip guns, and then another to pick them up. Sure there was probably a button to make it easier, but I literally did not have time for that.

Hahahahahahaha... Oh no.

So I understand that this game was produced by a single person. And it's commendable that they have continued to work on this "project" since its release. I can see from other reviews that they listen to the community and continue to dedicate their time to the game. But this is an ambitious project.

While I don't want to be rude to such a hard working developer, I've seen other solo devs come out with games that have more content than this one. The maps are too large; they feel empty. The zombies aren't much of a threat--and that includes the "hunters" and the "boss" zombie at the end of the map. I had to use pain meds two or three times and that was just because I was confident I could survive zombie attacks while I lazily reloaded or turned my character.

The aiming is off. Sometimes it auto-aims properly (yet you can still turn your character every which way) and sometimes you shoot way to the left or right. The cameras are pretty awful, especially while using the modern controls. I understand it's meant to be awkward like old RE games but some of these camera angles just don't make sense or are simply inconveniently placed.

Some of the game mechanics are silly. In "outbreak", you have to turn on sprinklers, but to do that, you have to find a code for a set of locker thingies (which is always conveniently in the next room) and turn on a single sprinkler to advance in the map. Then there's a second time that you do it and it uses a different code for some reason.

The characters are dull and in no way memorable. They could use fleshing out. And they could use more animations besides the singular walk/run and one gun hold that seems to work for every weapon.

Most of the problems that I'm pointing out are a matter of polishing the game and learning the proper coding, more or less. But there are other things too, such as the lack of ambiance and challenges. It doesn't feel like progress when you're walking around the map, shooting slow-moving targets, and picking up keys just to unlock new doors. You go around the map several times to do it and so it feels like a chore. Not an enjoyable horror/survival game. Basically, there's no drive. You get objectives and you fulfill them without any sense of accomplishment. This needs a story imo. And I don't mean journals; I wasn't compelled to read them and was surprised at the sheer number of them that were scattered about the map. That isn't how people stay invested.

I hope the dev learns a lot from this project and they're able to do something with this review, although I feel like I mostly re-iterated what I've been reading from other reviewers.

Outbreak has a number of issues, which I will go into detail on. However, I ended up enjoying myself while playing through the campaign with a co-op partner. We played through the six main campaign levels together on the normal difficulty.

The first issue, to me, was that many of the playable characters seemed sub-par. Harry and Lydia seemed clearly better to us than any of the other four characters. Harry has extra inventory space, which is a godsend when you're constantly trying to find space for weapons, ammo, keys, healing items, etc. Lydia seems slightly worse overall, but does start with a pistol and has innate damage resistance. This state of affairs didn't necessarily make the game worse, but why not just have Harry and Lydia as the main characters in the game, instead of providing a number of inferior options?

A related issue is with the leveling system. Developer Dead Drop Studios clearly took the time to make an extensive skill tree for the characters in the game, but even after we'd completed all levels but the final one, we'd only accumulated enough experience to purchase a single level one skill (I think we both grabbed a +5% damage increase). I guess the expectation is that you'll play through these levels multiple times on multiple difficulties, but we just didn't find the game intriguing enough to do so.

Other issues include:

[*] Sometimes blocked passages aren't marked on your map after you've discovered them.
[*] Many objects that you'll want/need to interact with are marked with a purple outline, but others are not. In the "Shelter" level, the computers (which almost look broken) are not marked.
[*] You'll find entirely too much of the "Ipecac" item. I might've used Ipecac once during my entire playthrough (it's used to remove the "poisoned" status effect), but it is absolutely everywhere.
[*] My partner got stuck in the geometry in the "Shelter" level near the stairs and we had to restart the level.

However, as I mentioned earlier, we ended up having fun with Outbreak. Attempting to distribute ammo, weapons, keys, and healing items while dealing with such small inventories forces players to communicate. Additionally, you'll both spend a considerable amount of time viewing the map to plan the most efficient routes. Zombies will spawn even in areas you've previously cleared, so you'll want to be efficient. We also thought the music was pretty fun.

Lastly, I'd actually recommend using the tank controls in the game. I used the alternative controls, and I often had to mentally re-calibrate after the game changed to another of it's very old-school Resident Evil camera angles. For instance, pushing your controller stick left might make sense to move you to the left in one camera angle, but in the next camera angle it might move you in the opposite direction. The game is kind enough to continue moving you in the direction you've chosen until you release the stick, but it can be a bit disorienting.

Na teoria este era pra ser um jogo interessante, mas na prática ele deixa MUITO a desejar, começando pela câmera horrível, joguei por meia hora e já fiquei com dor de cabeça, prqê a cada poucos passos qe vcê dá a câmera muda de lugar sozinha, e fica mudando e mudando pra posições fixas conforme vcê se locomove, e isso é realmente mto ruim, uma hora a câmera tá mostrando seu personagem de lado, dpois mostra de frente, depois de costas, e vcê fica toda perdida sem nem saber por onde andar; fora isso o combate e movimentação são travados, até pra mirar e matar um zombie é um sacrifício, já os gráficos são bonitos mas pesam demais, foi mto mal otimizado com momentos de travamento chatinhos. Por conta disso tudo só recomendo pra qm realmente gosta daquele estilo de jogo antigo qe a câmera fica mudando de posição sem vcê qrer ou poder mover, pois aí talvez possa aproveitar um pouco o jogo, ainda mais se tiver uma companhia, pois ele funciona muito bem em coop online e tem várias fases diferentes com cenários diversificados para tentar sobreviver ao apocalipse zombie.

If you are a huge fan of the Resident Evil Outbreak series, and were expecting something similar from this game. Sadly like me, you're in for quite a disappointing shock.

While the core idea was there, it was clear the developers wanted to try to capture this same idea that the RE:Outbreak games captured. It didn't seem complete. It felt far too rushed and stiff, as if I was playing a Beta for a game. Like the Outbreak games it has fixed camera's, characters with different perks dependent onto them to give the over all theme of team work and working together, keys and puzzles (for the most part) and even tough enemies/objectives to over come in order to complete a goal.

How ever this game feels like more of an asset flip. The general idea of being something like an RE:Outbreak game. The only level that offered any challenge was the first one, only because it was a bit of a maze. Where as the enemies on RE:outbreak games would challenge you in new and exciting ways, sadly there's nothing on this game that comes close, just the standard walk towards you and hit you. Some of the models look even ripped from RE:Outbreak games, such as the Hunters, Thanatos/Super Tyrant.

If this game was given much more time to develop and work on thing such as the animation, the gun play/sounds/effects. New weapons/weapon improvements. New characters/character interactions. New enemies/improved A.I./threatening enemies. New levels/ enhanced levels/ better layout. Better optimisation/ graphical enhancements. The game might be worth a buy and a decent review.

Sadly, in my opinion it isn't...Unless you decide to get it for next to nothing on a sale like I did.
I'd suggest if you're wanting to play the Resident Evil Outbreak games, best off just finding them online somewhere, this just feels like a vague shell of what the original series was.

ただ、操作性とカメラワークが悪いのと画面の暗さだけはいただけない。

Un muy buen juego para jugar cada tanto en solitario (si eres nuevo en este tipo de juegos con control tipo tanque ,inventario limitado y demás, te recomendaria jugar primero el tutorial y para cuando le agarres el truco te pasar al juego como tal , asi te divertiras más ;)

Pero si eres fan de los resident evil clasicos o los resident evil outbreak file 1 y file 2 este juego te encantara .

cabe señalar que lamentablemente su lado cooperativo/multijugador esta muerto (salvo que tu y unos amigos lo tengan para hacer partidas cooperativas) .

recomiendo jugarlo en calidad media o inferior por si no tienes una buena pc porque se encuentra levemente mal optimizado

Pero no te niego que el juego sera un reto , en especial si te rodean un grupo de zombis , ademas que podras escoger a tu personaje entre los disponibles y mejorarlo con puntos que obtengas mediante tu experiencia.

en cualquier momento podras escoger de inmediato la mision que quieras jugar (mismos mapas pero distina formas de jugar en ellos), si escoges uno de los mapas con objetivos se te hara levemente complicado porque
estos estan en ingles (salvo que manejes el idioma)

Y como bonus:
[spoiler] si eres fan de slendytubbies 3, puede que te lleves una leve sorpresita en forma de mapa pre-satelital xd [/spoiler]

An old school resident evil clone. Dev may not have the resources to do it justice graphic/polish wise but he does a good job on his series and seems to be getting better with each entry. Gameplay and mechanics are fun and he shows a lot of dedication to his continuing progress as a developer, with better work, frequent fair pricing and attention to his catalog. The game also has a game mode called onslaught mode which puts you in an alternative version of the main scenario where you can fight off waves of enemies for as long as you can while searching for respawning loot. All in all, this is definitely a worthy game. I cannot comment on the MP aspects as I'm rarely interested in MP in my games but reviews seem to indicate it fairly good. Certainly a developer, and the kind of developer, worth supporting.

このゲームは、カプコンの名作「バイオハザードアウトブレイク」のrip offです。
それについて異を唱えるつもりはありませんが、
Left 4 Deadのように独自のプラスアルファを用意出来ないのであれば、本家をプレイすればよいのではとなるのが自然だと思います。
また、完全に本家のクオリティを再現出来ているわけでもなく
水で薄めたアウトブレイク、というのが私が抱いた印象です。

まず、[u]NPCがいません。[/u]
よって、別室で勝手にピンチに陥ったNPCの悲鳴が聞こえてくることもないですし、
負傷したりパニックになったNPCを守りながら進むようなこともありません。
足手まといにならないような賢いNPCを作るリソースが無かったとのことですが、
ボットなんてのは足手まといになるからこそ可愛いものなのであって、
せめて追随/待機の切り替えやアイテム受け渡しの出来る程度のモブキャラは欲しかった。

また、ゾンビが無限沸き仕様にも関わらず、[u]ウェルダーやバリケードの概念がありません。[/u]
他の人より先に逃げて道を塞いでおくような（そしてなんやかんやで早めにしかも酷い死に方で退場するような）自己中プレイや、
逆に釘打ち機片手に「ここはまかせろ先にいけー！」することも出来ません。

そして、[u]カメラワークが良くない[/u]と感じました。
ゾンビ - カメラ - 主人公の構図が多いのです。
本家にもそういうシーンはありましたが、基本的には
カメラ - 主人公 - ゾンビでなければならない。
数メートル先にいる、操作キャラには見えている筈の敵がカメラアングルのせいで見えず、
唸り声や足音を頼りに銃の照準を合わせなけれなならないのは滑稽です。

[u]悪いゲームではない[/u]んです。よく出来てると思います。
本家アウトブレイクに対する、製作者の深い愛情を感じます。
しかし本家がいかに作りこまれたゲームだったかをただ懐古させるばかりでした。

プレイヤーベースが死んでいる（唯一立ってる鯖に入ってみたら作者がプレイしてた）のでフレンドに布教しようかとも思いましたが、
このくらいの価格帯でもクオリティの高いcoopゲーは巷に溢れているのが現状です。
（それがインディーデベロッパーにとって良い状況ではないこともわかってはいます）
ですので定価での購入はオススメ出来ません。

OMG!! A modern indie game that pays loving tribute to the earliest RE and Silent Hill games!!! It looks AMAZEBALLS!!!! Surely it's too good to be true?!

Well, yeah, of course it is, dumb-dumb. But it's also not [i]that[/i] bad, I guess. Time to put on my "objectivity" cap once more, and do my darnedest to separate unrealistic expectations from plain-and-simple reality. Here goes nuthin', yet yet again...

Things get off to a fairly dubious start with music that sounds like a "super-lite" version of the classic Silent Hill theme, swiftly followed by some mediocre-at-best text setting up our standard-issue zombie apocalypse ("Their evening of hell begins now..."). So far, so unpromising. BUT...the game's heart is still clearly in the right place. There may be something salvageable yet...

A tutorial level loads up after some slightly confusing menu antics, and sure enough, we have those pre-RE4 camera angles us older-school horror gamers know and love(/hate). With a fair dash of added camera movement, I might add: so we're talking more Silent Hill and Code Veronica than RE 1, 2 and 3. The map and inventory menu are, however, charmingly similar to the original RE, so we're definitely dealing with a dev who knows his horror history. Whether he can pull off a genuinely engrossing game is yet to be seen, but things are certainly looking more hopeful by the minute...

Control-wise, you have a choice between the same two modes offered by the RE1 HD Remaster of 2015: ancient-school "tank" controls - where you rotate before running - or more modern controls. That said, combat remains a stand-still-and-shoot proposition, no matter which mode you choose...so this is still likely to be an awkward experience for most gamers under the age of forty. Life sucks, get a helmet.

The [i]true[/i] shortcomings of the game soon become clear, however...even to a nostalgic old fart like Yours Truly. The visuals are a tad murky, the camera movement much too chaotic, and the zombies, gore and character animations are a little on the lame side. Note that I wouldn't say "bad"; merely "lame". The mapping/storytelling is similarly uninspired, so I'll be honest...I didn't get too far in before deciding that life is entirely too short for such shenanigans.

This game mostly made me want to dig out my old consoles and replay the classics. Far from bringing anything fresh to the table, Outbreak: The New Nightmare is rendered sadly obsolete by the very games that inspired it; games that are now around twenty years old. The fact that it's not the slightest bit scary - the zombies being arguably more "inconvenient" than genuinely intimidating - doesn't help matters.

Just the same, there's no denying the love invested into this project, and anyone still stubbornly living back in the late 90s/early 2000s may find it worth their while. And it [i]is[/i] more successful, on the whole, than the also-recent (and equally sincere) Crying is Not Enough, so if you feel truly compelled to purchase [i]one[/i] of these two titles, best make it this one. In a world blessed with the recent Resident Evil 2 remake, though, there really isn't much reason to play either.

Sentimentality is all good-and-well, but unless some minor twist on the tropes is offered - as in the likes of Lone Survivor or The Coma: Cutting Class - I can't see much sense to products like this, beyond the obvious experience they give to indie devs who show promise. Which this dev clearly does. Let's just hope he does something a bit more original/relevant in future, as there really isn't much logic to living in the past, unless you're going to at least equal - if not [i]better[/i] - those milestones reached way back when.

A final note: I do see that I already own the game that came after this - "Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles" - so I'll doubtless give that a go at some point as well. It at least looks like a more compelling location: a spooky old mansion a la the original RE, which I'm always a sucker for (as opposed to the RE2-isms of this particular entry). I don't hold up much hope, though, as the animations and gameplay look almost identical to this one...le sigh...

Verdict: 6/10.

Alright, I won't say that it is a bad game. I know how hard is for an indie dev to make something like that. It hits right in the feels when it comes to Childhood memories with the Classic Survival Horror. The controls are easy to understand and the game goes by with no problems or glitches. But, I played for some time and thats it. Just an honorable mention to the Classics, the game become boring in the first hour. Short inventary. The fixed camera works fine but in a wierd angle. It has potential to be something in the future. But not now.

i give this game thumb up because of the developer effort to revive RE Outbreak. Unfortunately the game is bad, bad animation, bad camera angel placement, bad map designs but some were good, weak shotgun, crazy fps drop, and etc you name it. This is the game to play with your mates just for fun or to laugh because playing solo would be a bit frustrating.

Ce jeu se veut une inspiration des premiers opus de « Resident Evil ».Dans les faits, ils ont réussi à reproduire tout ce qui était désagréable sans pour autant s’approcher de l’atmosphère unique de l’original.

Les graphiques, l’interface et surtout les cartes sont d’une qualité très … faible . La musique est indigne de passer dans les ascenseurs. Pour ce qui est des contrôles clavier/souris, c’est vraiment du « Survival Horror », traduction libre : tenter de survivre à cette horreur.
Je ne peux vous parler de l’histoire, mes nerfs ont lâché avant.
Que vous soyez amateur du genre ou non, je vous déconseille fortement ce titre.

Pessimo. Visuale della telecamera fatta così male che non si capisce in che direzione bisogna andare. Giocarlo con i comandi da tastiera è uno strazio. Le animazioni dei personaggi sono brutte e innaturali. Le musiche non ci azzeccano nulla con il genere zombie/horror.
Lo stile alla resident evil? Questo titolo non gli lega nemmeno le scarpe!
In conclusione gioco bocciato su tutta la linea.

Biohazardのマルチプレイヤー版で大変おもしろかったです。
続編に期待しています。

I feel like playing biohazard 1 with friends.
It makes me nostalgic and re-enthusiastic!
I stay tuned on the next scenario!

The game is fun but has some issues. It is really great that a single person took the time to make this and, that considered, they did a great job. I would only reccomend getting it though if you have a friend to play with, were a fan of the older resident evils, and the game can be purchased for $5 or less.

It's a nice game if you like old school resident evil, to play in coop with a friend, but it needs more polishing in graphics, animations and other things. For being an indie game, made by a solo dev, it is very nice though.

First review.. Though I like that this game is a nod towards Resident Evil and Silent Hill.. This game needs a lot of work, The animations are a little funky. Like how the characters walk with or without weapons, how they hold or aim their weapons, how they attack with their weapons, it would really help to fix that. There are some other things that could be done too, like for the meds/pain killers, allow them to stack in the inventory to a certain extent. Maybe add some more characters in. Especially female characters for the gamer girls out there. If I think of any more, I'll add to the review if that's possible. I'd reccomend the game as long as the games development progresses.

Its a great indie Resident Evil: outbreak clone. well worth the price (though I got it on sale) . if you long for a old school fixed perspective survival horror, well you can't do much better than this.

Having gone from his first Outbreak to this one, I have to say I am very pleased with the results. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. You want to know if this is a game I would recommend? The answer is yes to the right crowd.

The Outbreak series is a love-letter to ye olden days of Survival Horror. Any whippersnapper like myself who grew up playing games in the late 80's and throughout the 90's no-doubt played one of the first several Resident Evil or Silent Hill games. These were prominently when supplies were limited, inventory space was always a premium, battles had to be picked with care, puzzles needed solving, and the controls were...tanky. Thankfully this game offers a modernized movement style if you so please.

There was an appeal to these games, an acquired taste. Again, anyone who grew up on NES-era games that did not hold your hand (cough Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, etc) remembers the frustration at getting schooled before getting gradually better. These Survival Horror games were no different. Games like Darksouls (that feature punishing but rewarding difficulty) are gradually making a comeback to the new crowds.

The graphics are a nice boost from the pseudo Flash animation look of the first game. They resemble more like a late PS2 or early PS3 game. There are some really beautiful atmospheric effects, like how the foggy hiking trail level turns your flashlight and muzzle flashes into a blinding strobe effect, The playable PC animations lack a bit of "oomph" to them. However considering the huge push the SOLO INDIE dev made going from Outbreak 1 to this, it's understandably a work-in-progress.

Anyways enough rambling what the Hell is Outbreak: The New Nightmare? It's a survival horror game set in a zombie apocalypse, with the usual assorted enemies. The game scales itself accordingly based on your party size so it is just as rewarding solo as it is with a full crew of up to 4. Unlike other run'n'run zombie shooters like Left4Dead or RE4, OBNN (Outbreak New Nightmare) features a more grounded sense of rationing. Healing supplies and bullets are limited in every scenario while the trickle of the respawning cannon-fodder slowly bleeds you away. This pressures you into a tense race against time to solve the puzzles, decipher the codes, and make sure you saved that kickass BFG for the inevitable boss. Otherwise I hope you feel confident with that little pocket-knife.

Each of the playable characters has a distinct feel to them. While they all share the same movement speed, they all have individual levels and stats that raise as they kill more and more enemies, including perks that can be taken at specific levels. Lydia the cop, for example, always starts with a mid-tier handgun. She raises her damage done by guns and her resistance to damage each level-up. She comes out naturally tanky and with good DPS before you even factor her selected perks.

The other characters each have their own unique strengths and weaknesses as well. Anyone who played the Resident Evil: Outbreak File 1 or File 2 will know what I mean. That game's replayability came from the variation that each character brought to a level and this Outbreak game is no different. Exp is shared by all players too so there is no competition about hogging all the kills. Exp carries over even if you die, so total mission failure is not a complete kick in the nuts.

Given the small splash this game has made, what with no major fanfare or buzz or AAA publisher endorsement, the multiplayer is a bit on the quiet side. However, there is a Discord--a free voice-chat and text messaging program--server set up that is reliable if you're willing to put out a call for players.. We had a gentleman from England joining us here on the U.S. server and the ping was negilible. We coordinated and worked together and had a blast.

If you want the TL;DR version it is this: Outbreak is a series made by a devoted solo indie dev that pays homage to the Resident Evil's and Silent Hill's of the 1990's. It emulates their looks and feel right down to a fault. These games were not and are still not for everyone. However if you want an old-school'ish adventure with up to 4 people, where each healing item and every last bullet counted, you could do FAR worse than by playing this. Hop on Discord, make some friends, and have some laughs & scares!
