Plays just like the actual card game, haven't tried multiplayer on the computer yet but mor then likely still just as good as the card game!!!
i like it
All female heroes! <3 Slight learning curve, but the tutorial fairy is very helpful 😆
Fun, easy, quick game.
One Deck Dungeon is a deceptively deep dice strategy game that initially looks like pure RNG chaos but reveals genuine tactical depth once you understand how to manipulate your dice pool through skills and heroic dice combinations. The feeling of turning a terrible roll into a boss-clearing sequence through careful skill usage is genuinely satisfying, and the between-run progression system gives you a meaningful reason to keep coming back even after a crushing defeat. That said, the game does suffer from repetitiveness since all dungeons share the same enemy pool, and new players should be warned that the early learning curve is steep and unforgiving — starting on Novice with the Paladin is solid advice. It's a faithful digital adaptation of the tabletop game, and the UI makes tracking dice placement far easier than managing physical components would be. If you enjoy roguelikes and can accept that RNG will sometimes just wreck you, this scratches a very specific itch — grab it on sale.

Great game, the runs don't take too long but are really fun. Definitely recommend

Great game.
I like the concept, however I cannot even beat the first dungeon. When I use the skill points at the end on each character, no bonuses are ever added on the next play through. Am I supposed to max out every single bonus skill (like extra health)? I don't get it and it's annoying.
One Deck Dungeon is a digital adaptation of a tabletop dungeon crawler developed and published by Handelabra Games Inc. that succeeds by stripping fantasy adventure down to its most essential components and refining them into a tight, repeatable experience. Instead of sprawling maps or narrative-heavy quests, the game focuses on dice, cards, and decisions, presenting dungeon exploration as a compact but demanding puzzle where every choice carries weight. The result is a game that feels deceptively simple on the surface, yet consistently challenging and engaging the deeper you invest in its systems.
The structure of the game is immediately distinctive. Each dungeon run is represented by a single deck of cards that serves as both the layout and the source of encounters. Players descend floor by floor, drawing cards that represent monsters, traps, or special events, and choosing how to confront them. Encounters are resolved through dice rolls tied to a hero’s attributes, and these dice must be carefully allocated to meet specific requirements on each card. Success brings rewards in the form of skills, items, or experience, while failure costs health or precious time, pushing players closer to defeat. This constant tension between pressing forward and managing limited resources defines the rhythm of every run.
What elevates the gameplay beyond simple chance is how much agency players retain despite the randomness of dice rolls. Dice can be manipulated, split, enhanced, or modified through skills and items, allowing experienced players to mitigate bad luck and plan around uncertainty. Choosing which encounters to tackle directly and which to bypass is often just as important as how the dice are rolled. Over time, players learn to read the probabilities, weigh risks, and build strategies that turn seemingly unfavorable situations into manageable challenges. This balance between randomness and control is at the heart of the game’s appeal, creating moments of frustration alongside deeply satisfying victories.
Character progression plays a major role in maintaining long-term engagement. Each hero has a unique starting setup that strongly influences playstyle, whether that leans toward brute strength, agility, or magical versatility. As runs are completed—successfully or not—heroes gain permanent upgrades that expand their abilities and increase their resilience in future attempts. This meta-progression adds a roguelike layer to the experience, ensuring that even failed runs contribute meaningfully to long-term growth. Watching a once-fragile hero gradually become capable of surviving deeper dungeon floors is one of the most rewarding aspects of the game.
The presentation is clean and functional, designed to emphasize clarity over spectacle. Card art is readable and consistent, dice are clearly displayed, and the interface makes complex interactions easy to follow without overwhelming the player. Animations and sound effects are understated but effective, reinforcing actions without distracting from the strategic core. While the visuals may not impress players seeking flashy effects or cinematic flair, they are perfectly suited to the game’s design philosophy, keeping the focus firmly on decision-making and flow.
Replayability is one of One Deck Dungeon’s strongest assets. Randomized encounters, multiple heroes, and different dungeon configurations ensure that no two runs feel exactly the same. Cooperative play adds another dimension, as coordinating dice usage and shared resources introduces new tactical considerations. Expansions available on Steam further deepen the experience by introducing additional heroes, mechanics, and challenges, extending the game’s lifespan and keeping strategies fresh even for veteran players.
That said, the game’s reliance on dice will not appeal to everyone. Even with mitigation tools, unlucky rolls can derail carefully planned runs, and players who prefer deterministic systems may find this aspect frustrating. The compact nature of the design also means that variety comes more from mechanical permutations than from narrative or environmental diversity. For some, this may limit long-term appeal, especially when compared to larger roguelikes with richer worlds or story progression.
Ultimately, One Deck Dungeon excels because it knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn’t aim to replicate the scope of traditional RPGs, but instead offers a focused, elegantly designed experience built around risk management, probability, and incremental mastery. For players who enjoy thoughtful dice allocation, strategic planning under pressure, and the satisfaction of improving through repeated attempts, it delivers a consistently engaging dungeon crawl that fits neatly into both short sessions and extended play.

Good Game
I've been playing for an hour and all I can think is "When is is supposed to start getting fun?"
This is the implementation of the board game with the same name. I think it is very well implemented, with a lot of care given tho quality of life (for example, if you must select a dice based on certain criteria while only one dice fit this criteria, the game automatically select it and move on to the next step). Personally, I prefer the video game because I play it faster, by losing less time on manual actions.
About the game design itself : the mechanics are pretty fun. They are about controlling the dice randomness through tactical use of your powers, items and level-up bonuses. With good enough strategy, you will get enough dices, with the appropriate colors and values to successfully pass each challenge. Passing the challenge is usually easy. The difficult part is actually taking the least possible amount of damage.
Each hero start with a different set of dices (distributed between yellow, red and blue) and a power to change the dice throw results (e.g. : re-throw a dice, change its color or its value). How to get stronger throughout the dungeon will dictate if you can reach the end and win against the dungeon boss.
Each hero get experience after a dungeon exploration, that you can spend to make it a little more powerful next time.
fun game but it is very difficult even on novice level
8/10
👍
pretty original and neat
This is a fun enough short game with a few drawbacks. When it's on sale, it's absolutely worth the few bucks, and the DLC's are cheap enough that you can get one here and there.
The biggest problem with this game is that you can max out every stat on a character then it's done. There is nothing more you can do, and at least with the DLC I own, you can't reset them to begin again. I am not stuck with every one of the heroes I own with every single stat option purchased. There is nothing more to do, and no more challenge. There is a reset button, but it does not function. So now I have a game that was fun for several evenings, but it useless for replay.
I am giving this a positive review because for the price, while it's on sale, is worth it, but keep expectations limited.
Juegazo
I swear the RNG in this game is broken. Good game
yes
Probably the hardest game I've ever played. Love playing Mage and failing to beat the easiest boss on Novice difficulty because everything is a combat check and I can't seem to roll anything but 1s and 2s anyway.
Terrible game based 60% on luck alone. Even with my mage with almost ever campaign ability I can only get by the dragon about 1/3 of the time on NOVICE, The major flaw in the game is the inability to increase dice. Often you will be leaving 5s,4s and 3s of an off colour being just wasted. I actually do much better with the actual card game.
no frills dungeon crawling dice game. good relaxing time tbh
if you like rolling dice, logic puzzles via the hero skills, dungeon crawling, and never encountering a bug, check it out. while RNG gods are always vengeful, this game often feels like there's always a way out, even if the door is slowly closing and you just rolled a bunch of 1's and 2's. the plethora of heroes, dungeons, and DLC (pick it up wicked cheap on sale for a ridiculously packed experience) make the content feel infinite when you're grabbing a few games here and there. the ambiance and sound design makes it feel like a retro game, and i have never encountered a single bug of any kind.
The game is well done. I bought it both physically and the steam version.
It doesn't have multiplayer, but in this particular game multiplayer would just be confusing because you arrange the dice at the same time. For me, the online version is just to play a few quick rounds without having to unpack and pack all the cards and tokens myself, but if I want to play with my friends I prefer the physical version. Playing online also helped me practice remembering all the rules and timings.
Also the gauntlet mode is a nice little challenge. I wish there were more challenges.
Basically, roll a bunch of d6's and try to overcome traps and monsters. It's very satisfying to use your various skills to convert a bunch of terrible rolls into a win.
I only have one nitpick: many of the achievements require you to get much of the dlc material. So, if you want to 100% the achievements, you will have to buy not just this game, but also the expansion packs.
Great port of the physical game.
SHORT REVIEW
One Deck Dungeon is a computerisation of a tabletop game. It is apparently very faithful to the tabletop version although I don't own a physical copy so can't really comment. It's pretty simple to play. I'm not usually a fan of dice based games (far too random) but once you get going the dice manipulation mechanics allow you to make the most of it if the RNG just hates you and that is where the skill lies.
PLOT: It a rogue like. There isn't really a plot other than defeat the dungeon boss.
COMBAT: Dice based conflict resolution system.
GRAPHICS & SOUND: The graphics are quite nice and adequate for the game. The sound is a little limited but again adequate for the game.
REPLAY VALUE: Very Good, its a rogue like.
ISSUES AND BUGS: The game runs “straight out of the box” and appears to be bug free.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND TRADING CARDS: Full integration with the Steam platform.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Average at full price. The base game gets heavily discounted in sales so its definitely one to put in the “wait for a discount in a sale” category. There is also a lot of DLC which I'll talk about below.
LONG REVIEW
With this game I feel they have managed to achieve a lot with what, at the end of the day, is a pretty simple game. Its fun, quick to play and a game I still come back to now and again. You can play the game as 1 or 2 characters and personally I find it much more enjoyable (and slightly easier) playing 2 characters. I think the 2 character option is supposed to be a split screen co-op mode but as its all controlled from 1 mouse its basically a single player game only.
There is a lot of DLC for this one.
Forest of Shadows: This is the “main” DLC. It is basically another copy of the game with a different set of heroes, different set of dungeon bosses and a different card deck. It can be played as a stand alone or as a hybrid deck mixed with the base game. If you like the base game then you'll like this as its basically more of the same. This also gets heavily discounted in sales so its definitely one to put in the “wait for a discount in a sale” category.
Abyssal Depths: Adds a new mechanic, 6 terrifying Fiends who hound you throughout your entire quest to reach the boss and 2 new heroes. Can't say I was a huge fan of this one although the two new heroes are nice. This also gets discounted in sales so its definitely one to put in the “wait for a discount in a sale” category.
The Cinder Plains and Phoenix Den are each basically a single additional dungeon boss to play. Only really for completionists. They aren't expensive but you're not getting much either. They have never been discounted as far as I can tell.
Caliana, Fanatic and Witch are each basically a single additional charter to play. Only really for completionists. They aren't expensive but you're not getting much either. They have never been discounted as far as I can tell.
I bought the physical game in the hopes of having something interesting and fun to play at work during downtime, and was sorely disappointed. It says it's designed for 1-4 players, but it's clearly not balanced for solo play. Every encounter, combined by the dungeons additional curve balls, makes it extremely difficult to play or get anywhere while playing the game as is.
I figured maybe I just didn't understand the game, even though I read the rules through and attempted to play several times, so when I heard the game was on Steam, i decided to buy it here and play it digitally. I had hoped that seeing it play out automatically with less chances of human error would show me this game was fun, I had just been flubbing it up. This is not how it turned out.
The truth is, this game is poorly balanced for solo play. There's not enough adjustments to the rules or encounters nor is there a well rounded character to use for solo. Every choice feels like a challenge, but cause no matter your choices, it's nor designed for you to go it alone, and it shows.
The biggest giveaway is the tutorial. If you compare that experience with your followup games, you'll end up noticing how poorly your rolls are in real game play compared to your tutorial ones, and as you struggle to just make it out of the 2nd or 3rd floors, you'll realize the reason the boss fight in the tutorial came with unlimited potions.
If you somehow enjoy this game enough in real life, I guess you might still like this version, it oddly has access to more content that the physical version, otherwise I would stay away from this one on digital. I suggest sticking to the physical version, at least then you could technically make house rules and attempt to rebalance and salvage the game, but on digital it's as intended, which might make a good party game, but it's suitable for a solo experience or a good time.
As a longtime owner of the physical tabletop game this is based on, I definitely came into the PC version really loving the overall mechanics of the program. And I was wonderfully surprised at just how faithful of an adaptation it turned out to be. It's clear the designers respected the source material and delivered a fun an addicting game both for those already familiar with the series, and anyone coming in with a blank slate. The DLC is worth it and not too pricey, but fair warning....
Those dungeons want nothing else in this realm but to murder you. Always. But you can do it. Maybe.
I love it, but I also love board games. You probably won't like it if you don't like optimizing dice rolls.
This seems like a pretty good game, but admittedly I don't think I'll be playing any more. I bought this after a particularly fun night I had playing a board game with my family. Unfortunately we're not really the family that has the time to do that too often, so I decided to see if there's any single-player games that fill the void of playing board games. And I mean this does that pretty well, honestly. But I think I vastly underrated how much of the fun I had came from just spending time with my family. Still, this is a good game.
I think my only complaint is that I wish this didn't have roguelite progression (after each playthrough you get points to make the game easier). I think a lot of my enjoyment of board games also comes from having the ability to beat it first try if I get lucky. But this game clearly wants me to replay it again and again to have a better chance to actually win each playthrough. And whilst I quite like a lot of roguelites/likes, this kinda clashes with why I like board games. So eh. But again, I would recommend this if you like board games.
This is the only way you should play One Deck Dungeon. The physical, analog version can be tricky to play due to how you have to keep track of a lot of small things.
É um jogo legal, divertido. A mecânica funciona bem.
I own a physical copy of this game, with cards and dice, and it's very fun in that format.
Something I love about this digital format is that it manages a lot of the more annoying rule-referencing.
One thing that I learned about myself while playing the digital version (as opposed to playing the printed version of the game) is that I had a tendency to fudge my rolls way more than I realized... I am very bad at this game.
Nevertheless, armed now with this new knowledge-of-self, I have spent a good number of hours soldiering trying my luck!
What I'll note as a caveat - it isn't a flashy game. The art is elegant and directly representative of the cards themselves. There's not much to say about sound or music. There's a ton of DLC that might only appeal to people who are fans of the original print version, and it might be pretty challenging to learn how to play (without having read any rules) just using this version.
I still highly recommend it, even for people new to the game!
nice and simple, casual roguelike.
nothing mindblowing, just some pulpy fantasy themes and solid puzzle-like dice gameplay. you will run into unwinnable scenarios as this is a solo/coop board game adaptation. a really smooth port at that. the character and sound design is pretty lackluster, and I would have liked to see more classes in the base game, but those are nitpicks.
Overall, i'd say this is easier to pick up than the physical edition, mostly because there's far less burden on the player to remember everything minute-by-minute and far better progression tracking. Playing this did encourage me to purchase the physical set which I haven't touched nearly as much. It is much more fun to roll real dice and watch the dungeon deck descend, but this is a a great alternative.
good
hao
Amazing dice game, one of my all time favourites. Base game is already perfect and DLC just adds more content you can choose to include.
My only negative is I eventually got to a point where its near impossible to lose as I know everything and the highest difficulty is now fairly easy.
Just wishing they release more fantasy one deck content in the future.
I don't dislike this game. It's a neat little RPG with roguelite progression in board game form. I play this when I don't feel like setting up the physical game.
There is one important thing to note: this game is HEAVY on RNG. You gain items and skills to mitigate it and there are opportunities to be clever. That's the fun part. The less fun part is when you enter a scenario that you are heavily favored to win and then roll nothing but 1's and 2's on seven dice. Runs in this game will absolutely end through no fault of your own and it rarely feels like it swings the other way.
That being said, it's pretty inexpensive and you can get a lot of mileage out of it if you're already well familiar with how unforgiving player-against-the-game style board games are.
The probability that you'll win a round is ridiculously low. Kind of breaks the game.
Such a fun, card-and-dice based dungeon crawler. You have to have just the right amount of strategy and luck.
The beauty of the original card game was its strategic depth despite its physical simplicity. There are no such constraints for the digital version, so it didn't really leverage the format very well. I played it for 3 hours before uninstalling it.
Excellent board game and this digital version lets me play a very fun game much faster for times when I don't feel like setting up the physical thing.
Very faithful adaptation and it plays very smoothly. The game can be difficult at first but once you figure it out, playing a few causal rounds of it now and then is great, and the checkbox system means there's always more progression to make, and you can do so even if you lose
Good
Faithful adaptation of the boardgame. I've only done a few runs and it is quite difficult and fun. It is so much nicer not having to track my cards/dice while playing. My cats can't mess up this playfield.
This Game is for One dack dungeon fan
A faithful digitalization of the table top game, which I also own and have played.
To be fair, I wouldn't get this if you are uninterested in board games, because there are better computer game-"dungeon crawlers" for similar price. But if you liek tossing dice, sure, try this.
This is NOT a multi player game. It doenst let two people play it. At same computer or online. Total false advertising. And also super stupid. These kind of games are based on board games that are intended to be played with other people. Why make them single player.
Dumb RNG
Great game. Much more than it seems
So ADDICTIVE! I am loving it. The progression system is awesome. I did solo the first few hours and now I am playing 2 characters. I have played the tabletop game, but I am really digging this PC version. I haven't tried any of the DLC yet but I am sure I will... I am having that much fun.

I like the boardgame , I adore the digital version of it.
worst 8-bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ soundtrack ever
It's not all RNG. It's not super deep strategy either, but there are choices, a decision space, and a pretty good low-stress light game that is quick to play.
Buy it if it's on sale! It's cheap entertainment though the mechanics are simple and animations are basic. It's like a card game. It would be nice if it was longer and less grindy.
Well, I was kinda on the fence about this one, but it actually turned out to exceed my expectations. When I watched the videos and looked at screenshots, the game just looked very 'basic,' and I wasn't sure if it would be fun. So, I wishlisted it and put it off.
Seeing it on sale, I thought what the heck and picked it up. Now I have bought the DLC and am slowly working on leveling up my characters to dive ever deeper into the dungeons.
I do see that this is based off of a real life solo game by the same name. It is because of THIS game that I have really started to dive a little deeper into these 'solo board games' - I've already bought a couple 'real' ones, and play them sometimes, and play this one sometimes.
The concept is pretty simple: You choose a dungeon. You choose one or two people to enter the dungeon. Then you fight enemies, avoid traps, and make the best use of your dice possible so you can fight your way through the dungeon and defeat the boss.
The thing that makes this game really addicting is just how much strategy goes into placing your dice after reach roll. As you go deeper and deeper you'll be rolling more and more dice, and you'll have to figure out each time exactly how you want to use those dice, whether directly against enemies, or used for skills, or whatever. There's a lot of thought that goes into each roll - should I place this one here... or there? Should I use a skill to convert it into something else? What if I placed this over here - but no, if I do that, this other bad thing will happen...
And so, as you go through, you will be collecting items, skills, experience, and more. There is even persistent progress - as you defeat dungeons your heroes will gain XP which you can use them to level up for minor bumps in the next dungeons.
Graphics are fine - it's a board game, so it's not exactly next level graphics, but they serve their purpose. Music, eh, I turned it off because I didn't like it. Sound effects fit. Everything about it is nice.
The focus is on the playing, and that's where the fun is. There really is a lot of back and forth that goes into each encounter. I really like it and have seriously considered buying the actual board game itself.
Worth full price? I would say yes. Even though I waited for a sale, I don't think I would have been disappointed had I paid full price.
Overall a very fun game and a solid recommend.
It's a neat little Rogue-lite game. The achievement hunting is more RNG-based than I'd like.
I love the smell of meta progression in the morning.
Great game, especially if you enjoy Dungeon Crawling. super underrated
Bought on sale for just over a quid. Played for a few hours and was so put off by the design and the UI that it may be a waste of a quid. Will try and visit it again as have been recommended the game...
Rápido y divertido. La rejugabilidad es muy buena.
Very easy to play. Q&D. Different game every time.
A puzzle type game but maybe your into this, but I'm not.
Its a digital version of a boardgame - its not some epic narrative or deep gameplay challenge. You roll dice, you match numbers, you make decisions on how to grow your character.
Its simple, but its also fun to mix it up with a pure chance dice game.
I can see some people being bored with this, but its a nice decompression game.
Game is basically roll dice, match the numbers, repeat ad nauseam. There is no skill, no strategy and basically nothing to ensure victory other than pure luck of the dice rolls. The last straw for me, I rolled 15 dice, almost all 5's and 6's, basically the single best roll you could make. However I didn't have a three of one color of dice so there was literally nothing to do but lose. That is just not fun to me. If endless dice rolling for the sake of dice rolling sounds fun to you and winning or losing is solely based on dice rolls, give this one a try. If not skip it.
Great adaptation of an OK boardgame.
Most ugly UX I've ever seen, buttons on the screen are just positioned in random places, when you get item or skill you have no idea where it goes, or what it does, looks like this was developed as a homework by 12 yo person, and his older brother decided to sell it on steam.
Great solo adventure...level up the Mage if you can!
Great board game adaptation. Runs well on Steam Deck
Nice little gem - with more depth than you expect at the beginning...

Pretty fond of this one. Played the hell out of the IRL version, so it's nice to have all the shuffling and rolling taken care of. But it sort of makes the major flaw more apparent: progression is far less about skill than it is about your meta-game upgrades. The more you grind, the more upgrades you get, and the better you'll do. It is not impossible to win the game at low levels, but it's statistically unlikely. Meta-progression can be a conscious choice, but in this case I think it's kind of a band-aid solution. The developers came up with a really cool way to use dice, and the result just wasn't balanced.
Still, it's worth playing if you're into this kind of thing. I couldn't find any bugs, but the UI is a little shaky.
.
Good laid back game for passing the time. Good amount of strategic depth, a lot of replay-ability. Plenty of different characters to try.
For a game that seems quite simple, it's a lot of fun. I got all DLCs and am still playing it in-between.
good game
Fun little solo dice game. Graphics and sound are ok (nothing groundbreaking but they do the job).
Gameplay loop is quite addictive and there is a lot of variety in characters and several different bosses.
Reading the rules feels rather dry but if you just play the starter tutorial that works out much better and faster.
A lovely little game that seems pretty random at first. Give it a while and then you'll realize there's quite a few layers to the game. Overall a lot of fun and definitely worth the money,
Wonderful Dice game. Tons of replay ability. addicting quality.
Got this on sale for 2 bucks. Great price for a fun little game.
If you love boxed games, cards, dice, etc you will probably enjoy this game. The play is creative and the leveling makes a pretty fun short game and interesting longer game worth playing around with.
I've had fun with it. With how affordable it can be from steam sales its not the worst game out there to whittle some boredom away. It's not the most polished masterpiece of all times either though :)
