Квест-екшен від першої особи з досить цікавою ігровою механікою. Тут всі дії, які здійснює гравець, реалізовані у вигляді ляльки, на якій ми вибираємо використовувати, взяти, подивитися на предмет.
Графіка тут досить прийнятна для 1996 року. Звичайно, це не Duke Nukem 3D і не Quake, але теж непогано.
Головоломки досить складні і цікаві.
Сюжет, звичайно, трохи безглуздий, але можливо навіть в цьому його фішка. Тут по суті все віддає трохи сюрреалізмом.
Підсумок: рекомендується для любителів адвенчур і квестів, а також для тих, хто любить наркоманський гумор і нестандартне мислення.

The puzzle that is literally just throwing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at someone's face is is probnably the hardest ive laughed at a videogame in a while.
When you launch it, it starts a new game that immediately overwrites your autosave. Sucks to be you if you got all the way through the first part and were hoping to reload from your autosave - autosave is literally just a 'new game' button lol
I bought this game when it came out but doubt I will replay it.
Das Einzige, was mich persönlich nervt sind die Aktionen, die man erst nach einer gewißen anderen Aktion tätigen kann. Das führt dazu, daß man die Gebiete mehrmals besuchen und absuchen muß. This game came out on the same year I was born, and that's wild. You can tell it's ancient with how minimal the effects are, the blurry voices, and the pixel retro graphics that was the best compatibility on the old Windows PC.
The movements and animations are smooth, but expect some pixel specs like any game released before the 2000s. There's a lot of interactive content and dialogue, although some of the MC voice lines can get repetitive.
The cut-scenes is where the animations really shine, and the game's humour. It feels like I really am taking a dive into the old times, before I was even born. Plus with the low price that it's at, Normality is a game you can't miss if you're into the old-style retro graphics and humour from the 90s.

It's rather good!
Kooky and delightful, as long as you know what you're getting: A crude, borderline unfinished point-and-click adventure crammed haphazardly into Duke Nukem 3D's Build Engine. It's a mess from a bygone era, and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible. Certainly not for everybody, but if any part of that description intrigues you, you're gonna love it.
I also strongly recommend downloading the North American voice acting patch. Corey Feldman has never delivered a hammier performance than this. I'm not sure anyone has.

Aventura gráfica de "point & click" publicada en el año 1996 para MS-DOS. La versión de Steam funciona bien en Windows gracias al emulador DOSBox con el que viene integrado.
Su principal diferencia respecto a otros títulos del género, era que los escenarios no se representaban mediante cámara e imágenes estáticas, sino que se podía mover al personaje en 3D con cámara en primera persona, tal como se había visto 3 años antes con la saga [u][url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/gequi_/recommended/208200]"Doom"[/url][/u]
Animaciones, audio y música de aceptable calidad, sin destacar.
Detallista, ofrece multitud de extensas descripciones en cada sitio y objeto.
Poco más respecto a lo positivo. Las aventuras gráficas me cansan rápidamente y en este juego las razones son las siguientes:
- Idioma de voces en inglés con una gran calidad, pero las cinemáticas no tienen subtítulos. En el resto del juego sí presentan subtítulos, pero no en español.
- Gráficos ya un poco anticuados para su época con texturas muy pixeladas.
- Conversaciones limitadas a dar respuestas mediante breves palabras clave, como en la saga [u][url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/gequi_/recommended/72850]Elder Scrolls[/url][/u]. Carece de la profundidad de un [u][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/257350/Baldurs_Gate_II_Enhanced_Edition/]Baldur's Gate[/url][/u] en ese sentido.
- Personajes con estética repulsiva y personalidades kafkianas. Disparatada ambientación e historia.

Damn, finishing this game in 2024 can be tricky, especially when it was almost already done 4 years earlier, but save didn't worked (hint: make sure SAVEGAME folder is created in game's root dir to avoid this problem - steamapps\common\Normality\SAVEGAME)
Only old school games can handle this challenge. Do it, even after almost.. 30 years. It's not too late.

Great Game xD
Decades later this is still a very unique game. Even among the very rare first person point-and-click genre. I won't pretend I don't have nostalgia for it from playing it in the 90s, but I've played it several times as an adult and truly think it holds up. The controls aren't very modern but getting used to them doesn't take long. The puzzles, in my opinion are only mildly abstract, and the average person shouldn't need to look anything up. The game oozes with style and is probably one of the most memorable experiences I've had playing hundreds of games over decades.
My biggest advice: look up how to restore the American voice acting. Like many have said it better suits the mood of the game. And it's not even close.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

I still have the big box for this game, I bought it when it was new. There was nothing else like it at the time and still isn't really. It's got your usual adventure game stuff, combining weird items etc.... This game totally jives with me, it's weird and funny. The environments are really detailed unlike anything else at the time. The atmosphere rocks
BTW, this version comes with the UK voices, they suck and I highly recommend replacing them with the US voices. It ruins the game.

200 г сметаны 15%;
1 ч. л. гранулированного чеснока;
1 ч. л. сушеного лука;
зеленый лук.
Капусту тонко нашинкуйте, сложите в глубокую миску, посолите, посыпьте чесноком и хорошо помните, чтобы выделился сок. Оставьте на 10 минут. Можно этого не делать, но формировать и жарить капустники будет труднее. Так капуста становится мягче и вкуснее.
В отдельной миске смешайте яйца, муку, крахмал и сметану.
Переложите в миску с тестом капусту и тщательно перемешать все вместе.
В большой сковороде разогрейте растительное масло. И жарьте капустяники. Следите, чтобы они поджаривались, но не горели. Так что выставьте умеренный огонь.
Жарьте сначала с одной стороны, затем с другой.
Пока оладьи жарятся, смешайте все ингредиенты для соуса, кроме лука.
При подаче на каждый капустяник выложите немного соуса и посыпьте зеленым луком. Чеснок можно использовать, как гранулированный, так и свежий, пропущенный через пресс.

This game is pretty weird... But fun adventure game in first person view. Controlling the character was clunky and it certainly has a unique 90s style of look (3d cutscenes look pretty ugly though) with okay characters and story. Rarely got stuck and puzzles were pleasant enough. Voice acting is a hit or miss. It was short but worthy experience.
10/10 One of the best virtual experiences I have ever witnessed. The motion capture animation is stunning and the realistic 3 dimensional graphics are the best I have ever seen. The challenging puzzle game play compliments the amazing story. The amazing voice acting compliments everything and puts a fancy finish on this wonderful experience.

Квест удачно сочетает между собой 2D и 3D измерения, а также обладает классической жанровой "проблемой" (по крайней мере для тех времён), когда задачки решаются ну вот СОВСЕМ не логически! (а словно ты шизик...) Запускается через DOSBox и единственной претензией можно считать, что до сих пор продаётся за денюжку (а ведь игре недалеко до 30 лет...).

Hey gidi hey... Çocukluğumda bu oyunu hayal meyal oynadığımı, daha doğrusu oynamaya çalışıp ingilizcem olmadığı için beceremediğimi hatırladım. Oyuna girince başladığımız odayı görüp, arkaplandaki müziği duyunca "Bu oyun, oynayamadığım o oyun" dedi bilinç altım.
Windows 95 ve öncesi zamanlarda kaliteli oyun hep kendini belli ederdi. O zamanlar 3D kavramı yeni olduğundan, bu tarz point&click oyunlar akılda kalıcı olmuştu. Ama şunu da unutmamak lazım, 2000 ve öncesi yıllar bu tür macera-bulmaca oyunlarının revaçta olduğu dönemlerdi. O yüzden bana göre Normality diğer türdaş oyunlarının yanında silik kaldı.
Yıllar sonra gelen ücretsiz oyun keyiyle oyuna gireyim bakayım dedim. İlk 10 dakika nostalji hislerimi kabartmış olsa da sonrası baydı. Muhtemelen günümüz mekaniklerinin basitliğinden olsa gerek oyuna ısınamadım.
Alınıp oynanır mı? Meh... Belki benim gibi "Nerede o eski 90'lar" kafasındaysanız girip denersiniz.

if you dont do as the Normal police says, you will get thrown into jail, and that will happen soonner or later in real life to, cause how f*ked up the world is today.

Normality is an ancient (1996) point and click adventure game with a similar gameplay style to the later Sierra Studios games (Space Quest 4, etc). The game has a plot around everyone in the city becoming very apathetic and you need to solve puzzles to work out why. Ok. The game has a strong comedy theme.
While the game "works", it's just way too old, with locked resolution and controls, very little in the way of game options. The resolution looks like it's about 640x480 or something... it's heavily dated.
This would only be of interest to people who owned and played the game back in the 1990's, and since they already own it, Gremlin is trying to get people to pay for the same game twice, basically a nostalgia gouge.

Ngl kinda enjoyed this myself, I really liked its graphical artstyle and duke3d-like rendering, navigating it is like discovering a new artpiece on older point-and-click games. Thinking on certain puzzles are fun, unfortunately though, it does get a bit ridiculous and certain details aren't obviously deciphered until you hover the mouse on almost many possible locations.
Devs seemed to have fun making this game without any actual direction, does seem like it. Do try a play if you like this kinda genre, they provided a manual on some puzzles so it doesn't really feel like cheating, as its also written in a hint like form sometimes.
I still don't know how i got this game while browsing my steam library but i never paid for it i assume.
The visuals are still holding up rather nicely.
And the gameplay is still quite entertaining.
It's a game from 1996, with the 90s humor.
Some stuff feels outdated, some feels nice.
Most of the dialogues are really funny, tho.
If you like 'Old-School' point & click: Buy it.
Games like these are quite rare these days.
I always had a soft spot for the silly games.
And I do simply love the retro vibes as well.
It's just a dope nostalgic experience overall.
There's a surprising amount of bad reviews.
Most of them are complaining about audio.
Or rather: The us voice acting not featured.
I personally don't mind the uk voice actors.
Maybe because: I cannot compare the two.
Haven't actually played the said us version.
But: I understand that It can be a bit rough.
Especially if you grew up on the us version.
Personally: I'm just glad to see it on Steam.
And as such I had to give a positive review.
I'd say... Mixed bag. This is a very old P&C game. The graphics are retro good. Decent music. A juvenile story that hits and misses with the humor intended.

This is your typical nostalgia product that is extremely overrated by a few fans. It is funny, but not that much. It's very confusing, hard to navigate, many puzzles are not sensical. If you really like retro gaming, this is a good place to go in your library, but if you lack the patience needed in the 90s for this kind of game, you might like to play something else instead. It includes cards and it's cheap. Very niche game. I can't get myself to recommend it to the masses. Nothing to really hate here, but nothing to really like. So here's a red thumb that's better than a fake blue.

Use F9 to save and F10 to load! This game has a lot of good humor. It is sometimes difficult to progress because of the lack of logic to some puzzles. But using a walkthrough-video on youtube solves that when you're frustrated enough. The graphics and controls are horrible though, but you dont play a 30-year old game for graphics. ;)

Despite the video on the store page, the game you buy has the UK voice actors, this is NOT the US version, which has the MUCH BETTER performance of Corey Feldman for the character of Kent which is what is portrayed in the video on the store page [which is misleading]. However apparently you can patch this to have those sound files, so it has his excellent and much funnier voice performance, there is a post about it in the community here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=657594946
Without that performance, I would NOT recommend this game as that UK performance sucks and misses the mark, but with the patch it is definitely worth it, so in the end I will recommend this game as it is so worth it with an amusing and interesting story line, and Corey Feldman's performance really makes a huge difference here.

It's a classic point & click adventure and was one of the first few games I owned back in the day. The characters are wacky, the storyline interesting and the puzzles are just the right mix of easier and more difficult ones. The navigation sometimes is a bit difficult (I played mainly by mouse wich made climbing things, etc. pretty hard) and I got stuck one time because I didn't know how to "look up and down" (As I found out: page up and page down keys) But once I overcame this obstacle, I was right back in the fun. I thoroughly enjoyed replaying this and definitely can recommend to fans of classic point & click adventures!

bought this on cd-rom back in the day and played it over and over again. can't find the cd anymore so this was a great find on the steam store... not too happy about the voice pack for this one. but overall this game is always a win. if you haven't played it. it's worth the 3 dollars. Steam needs to get an update with the american voices so we can enjoy the game with Corey Feldman's incredible voice acting on this one.
