I get this because I randomly want to play racing game, but has to have cute artstyle. I dont regret this even just a little bit. It is surely cute and filled with familiar character from my childhood. Even the map itself is really fun, challenging and colourful. I'd say each one is different than the others and there is quite a lot of track to choose from.

from the perspective of a completionist: Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix reminds me of Garfield Kart in the worst way possible. Well, at least this game isnt the buggy mess that Garfield Kart is. I dont understand how some games meant for kids have this disgustingly hard difficulty that leaves you to only HOPE you get lucky one race. The CPUs you play against will constantly have a projectile pocketed to ruin your 3 star runs, and even if you somehow dodge the projectiles with a shield or your own projectile, its very likely they just start rubberbanding and completely overtake you AT THE LAST MILLISECOND OF THE RACE. I have been body checked and made to hit the wall while the rest of the racers past me and left me in 8th.... on my last race... after finally getting first 3 times... now i have to restart the entire thing over again. It's a headache. other than getting all 3 stars on all speeds, and buying all items in the shop, it was fun playing through and getting to do everything this game offered. it is able to hav enough personality to be a unique experience in a market oversaturated with licensed kart racers.

(QUICK note about another item: King Jellyfish is this game's blueshell like in Mario Kart. person in first place gets hit and loses a good amount of speed. its STUPID in this game and done very poorly. sometimes slowing down to have someone else tank it only screws you over in the end because the other CPUs can pass you so quickly if not careful. there is only two ways to avoid it, avatar shield and going through a cannon which means that you are soooo much more susceptible to having your runs murdered by this thing. you will never find yourself getting this item but you WILL find yourself constantrly seeing CPUs throw it at you anytime you're actually doing well and about to win)

Despite my complaints towards the CPU on the insane difficulty, if this is a game you're looking to buy and play casually with friends (since local multiplayer with a max of 4 is possible) this is the most chaotic racing game you can ever get to play with your friends and I mean that in the best way possible. Diverse kart and skill loadout customization, decent cast of characters from your fav cartoons and nostalgiac tracks that remind you of your fav shows growing up. one nitpick about tracks, you will be going very fast a lot of the time and the turns on a lot of tracks are so tight you are constantly bumping into walls when attempting to drift. to fix that occuring problem, brake while you drift on tighter turns.

Overall, I would recommend Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 for social gamers that like to play unserious but fun games with their friends and maybe to completionists IF they're okay with possibly attempting one singular cup on insane difficulty more than 20 times because RNG isnt on their side.

Game is super fun but took some messing around with AMD settings to get it to not run like crap. Then I was having a blast, unlocked majority of things. Went to play it with my son and it just lost my save file entirely. This is apparently a known bug that happens to a lot of people. Devs won't fix it. Waste of my time. Sad cause the game itself was pretty fun.

I know you want to know everything about the "Mario Karts" games on STEAM and how they compare. So here we go!

[b][i]GARFIELD[/i][/b]
[b]Garfield Kart[/b] (2015). [b]Avoid[/b].
The first of the franchise, bare-bones and without multiplayer. Poor gameplay.
[b]Garfield Kart - Furious Racing[/b] (2019). [b]Good enough if really on budget[/b].
The remake, with multiplayer and proper joypad support. While it does not have anything fancy nor refined graphics and mechanics, it's a viable subpar clone of the classic Mario Karts.
[b]Garfield Kart 2 - All you can drift[/b] (2025). [b]Not bad, but not one of the best[/b].
It improves the previous one in graphics, physics, track design and game mechanics, but it has only 12 tracks and was stripped out of fundamental options, like the ability to host games. Too pricey for what it offers.

[b][i]NICKELODEON / SPONGEBOB[/i][/b]
[i](THIS ONE!)[/i] [b]Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2[/b] (2020). [b]Quite good if on budget[/b].
This is the second of the franchise as the first isn't on STEAM. It's a bit better than "Garfield Kart", with prettier graphics, smoother gameplay and some modern mechanics like differently shaped tracks and the ability to make air tricks. It has a good amount of content and replayability but has its flaws, for example there are no audio voices and you have limite graphics options (you can't even change the resolution).
[b]Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3[/b] (2022). [b]Not recommended[/b].
It should have been an improvement, but they failed to deliver. It feels rushed and it's less polished and enjoyable than the previous. Most of the previous flaws remain and the newly added track shortcuts don't add much to the gameplay.

[b][i]DREAMWORKS / SHREK[/i][/b]
[b]DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing[/b] (2023). [b]Not recommended[/b].
It's a modified and partially enhanced version of "Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3", a little more polished and with magical paths instead of track shortcuts. It's not so bad, but it tries too hard to create some "DreamWorks feel" nobody cares about, without really improving the gameplay.

[b][i]DISNEY / MICKEY MOUSE[/i][/b]
[b]Disney Speedstorm[/b] (2023). [b]Not recommended[/b].
It has the most recognizable characters, great graphics, nice gameplay, good physics and it's also free. Well, it really isn't free as you have to pay real money to be able to win (it's made by Gameloft...). Unbalanced and unfair.

[b][i]SEGA / SONIC[/i][/b]
[b]Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing[/b] (2010). [b]Not recommended[/b]
This was the first released on STEAM and plays very similarly to classic Mario Karts. At its time it was very good, but now it shows its age and limits. While better than Garfield Karts, with nicer graphics and more dynamic tracks, there are better alternatives, including its sequels. No online multiplayer.
[b]Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed[/b] (2013). [b]Very Good [/b].
It improves the previous one in every aspect, finally on par with Mario Karts and Crash Team Racing. It innovates the genre with transforming vehicles and tracks that span in land, water and air. A little outdated, but even today can still be entertaining, especially considering all the content it has. Has online multiplayer but it's fun even in single player mode and it's far better than Garfield Karts and Nickelodeon Karts.
[b]Team Sonic Racing[/b] (2019). [b]Very Good[/b].
SEGA tried to improve the previous one, but in doing so they removed the "transformation" part, which was unique. While adding "teams" and improving the graphics, they didn't put enough effort and some "magic" was lost. In some areas, the gameplay improved, while in others it did not. Still far better than Garfield Karts and Nickelodeon Karts, but not better than Transformed.
[b]Sonic Racing - CrossWorlds[/b] (2025). [b]The BEST, if you can afford it[/b].
The latest one, SEGA learned from its past mistakes and addressed all the critiques. It ticks all the boxes: nice characters, great graphics, great gameplay, full voices, good controls and a lot of content. It's on par with the latest Mario Karts, if not better. Very pricey.

[b][i]OUTLIERS / VARIOUS[/i][/b]
[b]Zero Gear[/b] (2010). [b]Avoid[/b].
It was playable only online so when its servers died, it died, too. It's not a big loss, as not only is it outdated, but it wasn't even that good at its time.
[b]Coffin Dodgers[/b] (2015). [b]Avoid[/b].
It's more of a meme than a game. Fun for just 10 minutes due to its humor, then the poor gameplay will force you to uninstall it.
[b]Super Indie Karts[/b] (2015). [b]Good for nostalgics[/b].
Early Access, it's a homage to the old Mario Karts of the 2000s, with pixelated graphics and somewhat slippery controls. It has local multiplayer, but not online.
[b]The Karters 2 - Turbo Charged[/b] (2025). [b]Good alternative[/b].
Early Access that came out of nowhere; nobody knows about the first one. It's a homage to Crash Team Racing, with neat controls and fun tracks. Every kart has same specs, making it a skill based racing. Even in this early stage, it's nice. It has local multiplayer, but not online.

This is a solid cart racer. The driving and drifting mechanics are really smooth and on par with Mario Kart and Sonic. There is also a large roster and track selection. The tracks are unique and colorful. I'm not a huge fan of the roster, but that is just me not really being a big Nickelodeon fan (I don't know who most of the characters are.). There are different items that you can equip to change your vehicle's stats and secondary characters who you can select that give you abilities, which is a neat addition. The game has a good variety of powerups, some of which are neat (like ones that spam projectiles or obstacles while also giving you a lengthy turbo boost), but the blue shell equivalent isn't necessary. Most of the graphics look nice, but I'm not a huge fan of the character models (for TMNT at least, I would prefer something more old school rather than the modern cartoony stuff). There is also a bit too much rubber banding.

Kurz & knapp: Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix gefiel mir wesentlich mehr als Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl! Klar, handelt es sich um zwei unterschiedlichen Spielgenres + anderen Entwicklerteams, jedoch hat Bamtang Games hier gute Arbeitet geleistet. Wiederspielbarkeit ist vorhanden, Freischaltung der Fahrern machen Laune, sowie Gameplay mit eigenen Crew-Members konfigurieren um das maximale von seinem Fahrer rauszuholen klappt alles gut...OK manche sind einfach mit gewissen Kombis einfach Overpowered, dennoch ist das System gut durchdacht. Wie Funracer typisch gibt es der Grand Prix-Modus, die Arena-Modus die es erlaubt, Gegenspielern mit Items draufzubolzen, das sie mit wenig Leben besiegt sind, und der jeweilige Spieler, denn letzten Treffer erzielt hat eben ein Punkt dafür bekommt. Herausforderung gibt es 42 Challenges zu meistern, für jede Meisterung bekommt man gute Belohnungen. Zeitfahren gegen einem Dev-Geist-Fahrer HUihuihuiuiiuiiuiu - Zur guter letzt Splittscreen Lokal oder Online.

Zudem habe ich noch nicht die Sonderheit bei NKR2 ernannt: Überall im Straßenrennen liegt da Grünepfütze bzw. grüner Schleim, ja Schleimi grüner Schleim! Jedoch nicht von Dan Schneider! ZUM DANK NOCHMAL! Jedenfalls auch grün beschmierten Tokens, mit Tokens hat man die Möglichkeit gegen Fahrzeug Equipment austauschen, manche jedoch kann man nur bei bestimmten Ziele freischalten. Wenn wir nochmal zu den grünen Schleim zurückkehren wollen, bringen sie enorm vieles mit sich, wenn der Fahrer durch diese Pfütze durchfährt erhaltet der Chefingenieur die Ladung, dessen lädt die Fähigkeiten des Chefingenieurs auf. Jeder Chefingenieur hat seine eigenen Eigenschaften um alles nochmal umzukrempeln im Alpha des Gefechts.

Fazit:Spaßiger Funracer für wenig Geld, wenn man auf Sale wartet. Für Singleplayer Content ist hier vieles geboten und machen enorm viel Spaß alles freizuschalten. Freundschaften oder Ehe können jedoch hier gebrochen werden, aber das ist ja der Fluch des Funracers.

Ganz ehrlich, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix hätte richtig groß werden können. Das Spiel hatte das Potenzial, mit den ganz Großen des Kart Racing Genres mitzuhalten, die Charaktere, das bunte Design und der Spaßfaktor waren da. Doch leider haben die Entwickler dieses Potenzial komplett liegenlassen. Statt das Spiel weiter zu verbessern oder mit Updates zu unterstützen, wurde es einfach fallen gelassen.

Das Fahrgefühl ist schwammig, das Driften fühlt sich ungenau an und man rutscht viel zu leicht von der Strecke. Auch die Performance ist nicht optimal, immer wieder kommt es zu Rucklern und Frameeinbrüchen. Der Online Modus wirkt halbfertig, bietet kaum Abwechslung und das Matchmaking dauert ewig.

Was mich aber wirklich enttäuscht hat, ist die Präsentation. Kein Voice Acting, keine ikonischen Sprüche der bekannten Figuren und eine Musik, die einfach nur generisch klingt. Die Strecken sind in Ordnung und statt sofort einen Nachfolger auf den Markt zu bringen, hätten die Entwickler lieber mehr Energie in diesen Teil stecken sollen. Das Grundgerüst war gut, aber so, wie es jetzt ist, fühlt sich das Spiel einfach nach einer verpassten Chance an.

While it doesn’t quite reach the mechanical or polish levels of top-tier kart racing titles, it delivers enough fun, personality, and nostalgic charm to stand on its own—particularly for fans of Nickelodeon’s rich universe of characters and shows.

One of the most immediately noticeable upgrades is the massive expansion of the character roster. With 30 playable racers pulled from various Nickelodeon franchises, the game feels like a celebration of decades of animated history. From classic characters like Tommy Pickles and Reptar from Rugrats to modern favorites like Lincoln Loud and even deep cuts like Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot, the variety on display is commendable. Adding even more strategic value to the mix is the new pit crew system, which includes 70 support characters that grant passive and active abilities. The drifting is bad so far. People are hating on the kart racing 3 but that one has better drifting. This one does let you remap button controls though unlike the 3rd one.

Good kart racing game. Lots of colourful tracks and weapons and such. And the music isn't bad. If you like Mario Kart 64 then you'll enjoy this. The only thing that felt missing was voice clips for each of the characters.

The hardest difficulty of the grand prix mode will have you swearing at your monitor at some of the bs the cpu players do but then it's a good feeling when you finally win. I've just finished getting all the achievements so I think I've had my fun now with this game.

The game seems to go 80-90% off now and then, so get it on sale.

Be warned that clearing any of the last 3 tracks in time trial mode will corrupt your save file, so make a backup of your save file before you do those so that you can get the achievement, then put your backup copy back again so you can get your save file back. A number of people reported save file issues, so I'm not 100% certain that this is the trigger for everyone, but for me this was what caused it. I lost 2 nights of progress because of it but the game was fun enough that I started over.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is a mouthful of a name, and no, it is not as good or complete as Mario Kart.
However, NKR2:GP is still a solid Kart racer that packs in a lot of charm, and for the $1.99 sale price (Racing fest 2025 sale) picking it up is a no-brainer.
As an adult, I found the tracks to be the correct difficulty and controls felt smooth and responsive. I enjoyed playing with characters I recognized from when I watched Nicktoons as a child. However, you DO NOT need to know any Nickelodeon characters this game. I played split screen with my 4 year old who has never watched Nickelodeon, and he was still having a blast and cackling as he used power ups and items to race along the tracks.

Z uwagi na chwilowy impuls, postanowiłem zainstalować kilka wyścigów opartych na popularnych franczyznach. Zacząłem od tego tytułu, który wydawał się najbardziej niepozorny.

Zalety:

Klimat - Wszystko jest tu kolorowe i… bardzo szybkie, dynamiczne. Uroku temu wykreowanemu światu dodaje pasująca do niego muzyka. Nic dodać, nic ująć. Przyjemnie.

Postacie - Już na samym początku jest ich całkiem sporo, a z biegiem rozgrywki i kolejnych zwycięstw, można odblokować następne. Co ciekawe, są one totalnie z różnych klimatów - dla przykładu Kotopies może konkurować z Avatarem, lol. :D

Rozgrywka - Gracz, tuż przed rozpoczęciem wyścigu, ma szansę nie tylko wybrać postać, którą chce grać, lecz przede wszystkim dobrać takie elementy pojazdu, aby łatwiej mu się grało. Każda z części, a nawet postaci, ma swoje statystyki, które raz podnoszą, a raz obniżają dane parametry. Co do samych wyścigów - są szybkie, to pewne.

Wady:

,,Dopalacze” - coś, co mogłoby być najciekawszą częścią tej gry, okazało się mocno niedopracowane. Po wjechaniu w złotą monetę, można wylosować różnego rodzaju ulepszenia. Jednak ich obsługa i celowanie pozostawia wiele do życzenia.

Podsumowanie:

Jako wyścigi dla dzieci (chociaż ja grałem w to jako stary koń), myślę, że idealne - barwne, dynamiczne, z lekkim humorkiem. Czego chcieć więcej?

It's a racing game that is fun to play with friends. Works well with remote play together. And the customization options for your character and car and their abilities seem better than in most mario kart games.
I'd pick it up on sale, worth the 2 bucks for a good time racing.
Only major downside is the resolution this can render at is capped at 720p with no way to upscale it to something modern, so if that bothers you it might be a deal breaker.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 isn’t a masterpiece, but it doesn’t need to be. It shines when played with friends — chaotic, silly, and full of “did-you-just-hit-me-with-that?!” moments. It’s not the next Mario Kart, and that’s perfectly fine.

Pros:

Super fun with friends.

Lots of laughs guaranteed.

Surprisingly better than the third game in almost every aspect.

Cons:

No character voices, which makes things feel a bit flat at times.

Repetitive music that can get old quickly.

It’s a pretty basic kart racer overall — don’t expect anything revolutionary.

First off, this game is NOT worth full price. The complete and total lack of voice actors make it a $10 game at absolute most, but I'd recommend waiting for $5 or less. It's still fun, but it would be SO MUCH MORE fun if Raph yelled at the other racers or Zim cackled on the podium. The Challenge Mode provides a fun way to earn new racers and power-ups without just rewarding the player for doing something super repetitive; like after every couple of races or for getting first place online. I can't even really recommend it for kids because half of the recognition of a cartoon character is the voice. Really, my biggest gripe is that there are absolutely NO voice lines at all.

O jogo é excelente.
Tinha tudo para ser um dos melhores jogos de kart que já vi, mas parece um jogo inacabado, os personagens não tem voz, o que já deixa o aspecto do jogo super estranho, eles fazem animações,e não tem som, então parece que deixaram algumas coisas de lado no jogo, talvez por não ter mais orçamento para esse jogo ou pressa pra lançar.
Mas a jogabilidade é boa demais, compensa bastante, varios personagens da minha infancia, as pistas são excelentes, de todas que eu joguei, não teve nenhuma que eu achei ruim, máximo uma que eu sigo que foi curta demais.
O jogo é divertido e valeu cada centavo, uma pena parecer não ser um produto acabado, pois falta algumas coisas a mais.
Não tem opção de mudar a resolução o que incomoda, é um jogo leve, daria pra jogar em 4k em um hardware de entrada.
Daria pra falar mais coisas... Tanto boas quanto ruim.
Mas no geral eu recomendo o jogo, digo que 20 reais pelo jogo ainda vale gastar.

Pillalo en oferta a 90% de descuento que usualmente lo tiran a ese precio, un juego decente de karts para sacarle el platino, pero algo que lo vuelve fome es que los personajes no tengan voces, minimo hubieran reutilizado archivos de voz ya grabados, es lo que impide que el juego llegue a ser un 10/10, porque todo lo demás está ok (el online está muerto). Tiene una variedad de contenido aceptable y la conducción se siente fluida y estimulante, sobretodo al hacer acrobacias en el aire y usar los boost de turbo. Su tutorial es bastante claro y completo, en menos de 5 minutos aprendes. La personalización me dejó sorprendido para ser un juego de nick, teniendo variadas opciones de motor, turbo y personajes con distintos stats y equipos que te dan habilidades en las carreras, desde un impulso de fuego, objetos de ataque gratis y nitro de botella de bebida. 6/10 ante la falta de voces, se nota que eso llega a que te aburras y dejes de jugar luego de un rato, de lo contrario pasaría más tiempo jugando por partida.

Didn't know they still made IP shovelware like this. 5 years old but feels 20 years old. Clearly made by a team with a lot of care who actually kinda gave a ♥♥♥♥ about some of these franchises but zero budget. Kind of a joke compared to a Mario Kart, Sonic Racers or even the Free Disney Speedstorm. Controls take a bit of getting used to, a bit clunky. A lot going on, for better or for worse, lots of elements/moving parts. Can get a bit complicated for a kid to juggle but maybe that's part of the challenge. No voice acting, clearly didn't want to shill out and must've had some contracts or something in place to prevent recordings being used. Makes the game feel really quiet. Lots of stuff to unlock which makes it more replayable. Amused me for 40-ish mins. Worth 1.59. Would not recommend for anything higher $5. If you're a Nickelodeon fan or a kart racer fan with some pocket change and it's on sale check it out. Otherwise eh. I'd give it a neutral rating if I could but since my choice is binary I don't feel comfortable giving a thumbs up.

Ce jeu est clairement un clone de Mario Kart, et c’est exactement ce qu’on attend de lui. Il remplit bien sa mission : l’univers est coloré, la conduite est fluide et les dérapages sont globalement intuitifs. Le contenu est plutôt généreux, avec un bon nombre de circuits, de personnages jouables, et des options de personnalisation pour les karts.

Dans l’ensemble, le jeu reste assez simple, ce qui peut être un atout pour les joueurs occasionnels.

Cependant, quelques défauts viennent ternir l’expérience : l’absence de voix pour les personnages rend l’ensemble un peu fade, les circuits manquent parfois de personnalité, et les collisions ou les sauts manquent de précision et de sensation.

Cela dit, à petit prix et entre amis, il reste un bon choix pour s’amuser sans trop se prendre la tête.
