-It's pretty fun.
-A really good mix of arcade handing making it fast and intense with the more realistic concept of "If you do dumb moves you will fall" making you have to also be precise or pay the penalty.
-Only real downfall I can say is that after about 6 hours I refined my skills and could upgrade my bike enough to be 1 second a lap faster than even the hardest difficulty AI which removes alot of the challange.
-But for 2€ on sale it's a really good value.

usually i ignore the monster energy series, but while i was browsing thru the motocross games i saw this one for 2 bucks and good reviews compared to later iterations, so i picked it up.
chromatic aberration, motion blur and lens dirt are your 3 friends in this game and tbf, those work very well and make it cinematic.
physics are okey - i expected worse. disabling driving aids is a must tho, otherwise it feels very flat.
the game forces HDR without any option to disable it. there is a easy fix via config - just google it or look in the PCGamingWiki - your best friend if you have issues in a game. don't spam the steam forums with crap like "it doesn't work" which is always helpful for other who wanna help... simply take a look into the wiki...

anyway, good game for 2 bucks. runs as smooth at max settings as freshly brewed raw chicken water. (if anyone knows lindsay from arrested development)

Amazing gameplay with bikes that handle like they should. The bikes feel like they are planted on the ground, the physics feel just right and the rider and bike animations are second to none, everything moves with weight and precision.

Customisation options are available for both rider and bike which is a nice feature and the soundtrack is good. The bike audio is decent but nothing groundbreaking. The AI is decent, providing a challenge without constantly ramming you.

Third person view is good, giving a good sense of speed and control but the first person view feels and looks a bit off.

The game supports ultrawide resolution right out of the box, at 3440x1440 I was averaging around 160fps with the graphics maxed.

The graphics are nice, though the game frustratingly forces HDR on capable displays, resulting in a washed out looking mess. Luckily you can fix this by editing the engine.ini file (see below).

I turned HDR off in game before I did this edit.

Locate - C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\supercross\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Open the engine.ini file in that folder with notepad or a text editor.

Add this to the bottom under the "Paths=" text that is already in there and leave a blank space between them.

r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=0
r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=0
r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=1
r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=0

Then save it and relaunch the game.

HDR should now be off and the game should look much more bright and clear.

Just bought this tonight, (April 22 2025) for $3.04 CAD and holly WOW this Dirt Motorbike Simulator is frigging amazing in VR using the UEVR VR mode! WOW WOW WOW I am so blown away. Never touched any settings. I am using the Pimax Crystal OG at 75Hz 65% Res and the game is flawless with my OC7800X3D and OC 4090 and just looks amazing. I was playing in 3RD person mode but then I realized you can play in 1st person as well. This was one of the best experiences in VR I have had in years. If anyone is reading this you MUST get this its so incredible.

ATTENTON: To the DEV, If you haven't tried this in VR your missing out because its mind blowing, exhilarating, and so much fun, it really almost feels like your really on a bike.

Quem é fã de motocross/supercross, como eu, vai se divertir com o game. Ele tem seus bugs, mas nada que atrapalhe a jogatina..um dos melhores jogos de Motocross da atualidade. Supera qualquer franquia MX vs ATV, em especial os gráficos e sons das motos, a jogabilidade acho que ainda dá para melhorar para deixar mais realista, como se fosse um simulador, não que a jogabilidade atual esteja ruim, fizeram um ótimo trabalho.

Recomendo a todos que quer desfrutar um bom supercross com todos os pilotos e marcas oficiais!💯

I literally just Installed this last night , and I literally just UNinstalled it about 5 minutes later and got a Refund from Steam

Who makes a game where you CAN'T access a Menu and ADJUST CONTROLS ??? , there is literally no ability to adjust a Controller (or keyboard or anything) for Remap , I use a Joystick with a Emulator so it works like a Controller in XInput mode which is what all these games use , because so far all the Joysticks I have found are Direct Input and I only use a Joystick with Moto games because they are far superior to a Controller for playing Moto games than a Controller , and I have been doing this since Motocross Madness came out , so I need to remap the buttons for my Clutch , Front and Rear Brakes and Throttle to the 5,6,7,8 Buttons , mimicking the A,B,X,Y buttons on a Controller when you use a Emulator with a Joystick , I installed the game and the first thing it did was make me Ryan Dungey (no thanks , I would rather have a choice of the rider I am going to be and the bike I am going to ride like MESX2 and 3 do , they also allow you to adjust the key mapping) and put me in a race without allowing ANY setup for a Key Mapping

Not being allowed to remap the Joystick/Controller was a huge letdown and enough for me to immediately Uninstall the game , what is the point of having the game if the bike just sits there on the starting gate and you can turn the bars , but not do anything else but rev the engine and watch the rear wheel sit there and spin with out the bike moving because its either not in gear or the clutch is in and I can't access a mapping menu to map it to something I can use to make it work , it doesn't even tell you what buttons to use , what was the Developer thinking ???

So far everyone is saying 2 and 3 are the best , and I have them both and I enjoy them , so not sure I'm going to spend any more on the MESX series or MXGP series unless the rest are on a huge sale , just due to the mostly Negative Reviews , I also have MXGP 2 and 3 (and 2021) and they function the same as SX 2 and 3 since they are the same Developer and basically the same game the way they play , and Reviews for 4,5 ,6 are about the same in SX as they are for the same versions of MXGP , all with the same complaints and positives ... But again , Who makes a game you can't remap anything ??? , seriously Who ?? (besides this game , which is the ONLY game I have played since the 1990's that doesn't allow remapping)

Anyways , Hopefully this helps someone who wants to be able to remap keys on a Controller or actual Joystick (or even a Keyboard) , in this game it can't be done , which was a 100% deal breaker for me !!

Too bad , it looked like Fun , not sure how it got such highly positive Reviews with a huge mistake from the Developer like that , I have never played a game (till this one) that did not allow you to remap anything .....
