I'm sorry, I try to support low budget independents but there was just nothing here. What is the story? Who am I playing as? Why do the dummies sound like aliens? Very bland and empty. I don't understand what all the positive reviews are for, they must have been the developers friends. It's like someone started building a game and never finished it.
Also, the volume is so low but when you raise it high enough to hear the ambiance it explodes when you get attacked by an enemy. Needs a lot of polishing.
I didn't like it. Why am I losing health? Why are the mannequins chasing me all of a sudden? Shining the light on them did nothing. Whats the objective? It doesn't say this is a walking simulator, but I'd say it is. A bad one.

Es un buen juego corto de survival y suspense, no tanto de terror. Los puzles están bien. La historia tiene una buena idea que podría desarrollarse más; veremos si continua la trama el creador del juego. Puede aparecer algún pequeño bug y la luz de la linterna podría mejorarse. Aún así, el juego consigue la atmósfera de misterio que se propone.

우선 무서울 땐 무섭다.. 그리고 나름 재미있었다.
하지만 버그로 차에 깔려 맵밖으로 떨어져 보고, 맵이 좀 넓다 싶어서 돌아다니니 바로 컷 당하고,
집안에 있으면 공격 안할 놈들이 갑자기 집에 들어오고 나는 창문에 끼여 공중부양하고,
열쇠도 공략 안보면 절대 모를만한 곳에 놓고, 환풍구는 어찌어찌 낑겨야지 갈수있게 더럽게 가기 힘들게 만들고,
마지막쯤에 오브젝트 구경하려 하니까 그냥 뚤려버리고, 마지막 추격은 공격 컷신 때문에 한번 걸리면 그냥 죽어야 한다.
버그가 없고 좀 더 친절했다면 5500원이었지만 90%세일의 550원이 알맞는 게임.
이 모든걸 감당할 수있다면 해보는걸 추천

The Game, If you even want to call it that at this point, is unbeatable due to game ending glitches where you cant progress anything further. Developer doesn't care about this project and honestly either should you.
Only thing that might fix it, is to restart your whole game save and try again, I did 3 times and it was still broken. Please don't waste your money by giving this "Developer" anymore funding. They don't deserve it.

2. 游戏优化差——我用5800H加RTX3050配置的笔记本玩这款游戏，不知道为什么会一卡一卡的，反而玩其他同样由Unity引擎所写的游戏，就没有这个问题；
3. 没有中文——我可以不看，但你必须得有，而且有了中文本地化，可以帮助玩家更好地理解背景以及剧情；
Absolutely terrible. I got stuck in the environment multiple times, which prevented me from advancing and forced me to reload. The concept sounded interesting, but the implementation is really glitchy and not scary at all. The checkpoints are fairly far apart so get ready to get stuck or randomly die for no apparent reason and then replay sections.

If your afraid of mannequins, this should give you a bit of fright the only downside to this game is the amount of unused space it had opportunities to scare you off your socks. The scares didn't really give me that "ahhhh ♥♥♥♥ was that" factor overall not to a bad of a game for newer indie horror fans.

For real though it is not terrible for low-key indie horror, but IMO it is just more annoying to play than it is enjoyable. For example, your flashlight run out faster than your camera in Outlast. The aspect of an involuntary consumable, but much needed, item has been long past dated now. I did not play for too long, but I was just bored and unimpressed. It is aggravating when people compare these kinds of games to Silent Hill or other psychological horror, cause that instills the notion that this game will be of even quality, and it is not. I realistically would give this a 5 or 6 out of 10. Also do not use a controller, it was a disaster trying to maneuver and look around with thumb-sticks.

The story is a bit nonsense, something about putting human brains into mannequins for some reason. But gameplay wise it's pretty decent. You explore environments, figuring out how to navigate the environments, and even some light puzzling. The narrative reasons for why you are doing this as well holds up pretty well too.
The ending is a bit of a cheap "to be continued" even though to be honest I thought they could have closed out it there.
Overall, if you're in need of a quick cheap horror fix, this is look a look.

Midnight: Submersion es más un juego de misterio y suspense que de terror. Tiene su ambiente opresivo, raro y perturbador lo que ayuda muy bien a mantener el interés del jugador mientras avanza y desentraña que esta ocurriendo.
El juego ofrece puzzles sencillos y un buen acabado técnico y sonoro.
Pd: tuve 3 crasheos al cargar un nuevo mapa, lo solucioné bajando un poco las opciones gráficas.
Sorry, the game is too confusing for me, with blurry and strange flickering effects after a few minutes (belongs to the gameplay, but hurts the eyes), nice music which unfortunately is too loud and reduces all ambient noises or they are missing at all. After the "big-update" the game crashes @ exit game and freezes the display for many seconds (by using Windows 11). Conclusion from my side: No reason to buy these game. Thank you.
I'm 1.4 hours in so far. On sale for .94 cents?!?!?! A no brainer to purchase. I play a ton of horror games and when you see "another game with mannequins" you may be immediately put off but you'd be mistaken. As you continue further you will see why. The music/sfx choices are great and help ratchet up the tension in gameplay. Very much enjoying the title for a night to hunker down with a little darkness...... and then....UPDATE: I will say that the game drops in quality once you've unlocked the door with all the 3 keycards to get into the facility. Once in the facility the dynamic shifts and you can tell the first section you played was likely early release where they took care to fix bugs and make it a good experience. The facility.....not so much. There's an examination table with a body on it you can completely walk through, a horrible crate/electrical water puzzle that you will die numerous times before hitting it perfect as well as an annoying endgame boss with dummies everywhere that will be happy to lower your health before making it to the final ladder. It doesn't feel completed at all in the facility. If you die and reload the player will say to themselves the same lines as when they first entered the facility. There is also a locked door where they mention there is a key for it but never do unlock this door and as you get the big reveal at the end (not too hard to figure out very early on) with a "To Be Continued" ending. There really isn't much point to a sequel as you know everything at the end. Great start with a disappointing ending. For .94 cents it's still worth a purchase just know the facility is where everything changes.
Hello, so I first want to say that although I am not a horror game type of person I did enjoy this game. There were a few jumpscares that got me good. I didn't get to complete the game because I'm stuck at the part where you go into the Factory. I received a key of some kind and it said I needed to go to a hangar but I wasn't sure what the hanger looked like. So I ventured to the other area where there is an abandoned house with a first aid kit. The main downside for me is that I keep running out of batteries and I dont really know where to go. I played the first part twice because when I ran out of batteries I couldn't see anymore even after changing the settings. It was nice that the mannequins start to point you in the direction and sometimes the game uses lighting cues to guide you. But I feel like in the factory area there's less cues, most of the buildings arent labeled and the light from the flashlight gives you a small window to view the world from. I think a lot of effort went into the visuals and the sounds of this game, the textures are good the sound is great. But I feel lost, I think if you want to keep it dark, at least provide us with a map. Or lighten up the map in general/ make the batteries last longer, or maybe have an easy mode. Aside from that - really great music that makes things scary, I like the visual tv static that happens to our eyes sometimes ( I did die a couple of times from going out of bounds ). I would like to see more from this group/creator in the future. I think they did really well.
It is certainly one of the most horrifying game, I have ever come across. The moment I started playing the game it make me feel that i am experiencing the situations in real life. I am a true fan of puzzles and that exactly what my attention. I would surely recommend this game to people who are into playing horror games. It was a good game since I`ve been playing some fps and other rpg games so it was a something new for I mean I got so much terrified first when the mannequin turned its face towards me as I used the flashlight towards it the sound, the effects I never got so much afraid while playing a game would recommend it to everyone who wants to play a horror game.

Ok, so this is a horror game that takes a little bit of many ideas I actually like. For example, apart of it being a survival horror game, it doesn't allow you to attack or defend. This reminds me of other titles like Amnesia and made me get into a "I must hide" state. This is fine, by the way.
The basic movement is slow. This is not a bad thing, because I can make an idea to why is it that way. Basically it gives you the same sensation of the tank movement you can experience in Resident Evil or Silent Hill. I know it is intentional because you can also run, crouch and jump. In fact, you can do a little bit of parkour with the jump action. I though it was unintentional but then I had to use it to get into a window.
The music is made for making you nervous. It is clear that it was composed to wake the fear of getting surprised by something. At some point, I was scared by a casual rat, which I suppose was the objective. The game doesn't have a lot of jumpscares. Almost none, actually, and I'm glad for it because it would make the game feel cheap.
Finally I have to adress some details that, combined with the other elements this game has, made an enjoyable game. When the protagonist is starting to get affraid, the camera kind of trembles. I found myself getting nervous too, so I didn't know if it was me or the game. Also there's the thing about the batteries of the lanterns. They are never enough. Pick them all. They will be necessary and you'll use them more than you think.
In conclusion. It was enjoyable and the puzzles were fun. I got stressed out and got lost but at least there are some tiny clues around. Pretty nice.

I have seen a friend playing this game and wanted to give it a try for only 3,99€. To speak in Star Wars memes this game is "a surprise to be sure but a welcome one". You get quite good content for the prize. I have played roughly 4 hours when I am writing this review but those are the big pros and some few cons I have identified:
Pros:
- Gameplay itself is quite intuitive
- It is really spooky. You never know which mannequin will move and which won't. Especially you don't know which will hunt you....
- Game can be challenging and you need to think, which is a big pro from my end.
- You have more than enough play time for this prize
- Story being told my old written documents and papers gives a good immersion
- Music is a good fit to the setting
Cons:
- I needed to lower mouse sensitivity on my PC as it was even on lowest scale too quick for me.
- Game doesn't explain too much at the beginning. So you have to try it out a bit and search to get going. But after that it is good.
Generally speaking, I think it is a good game and you should try it out. Especially if you like Horror games. :)
Creepy, unsettling, and spine-chilling. It checks all the mark for a great horror-survival game. The game's music really played a huge part into making the experience all the more terrifying. I always felt like I had to look behind me whenever I'm in an open space. I had a great time, definitely waiting on Midnight Games' next titles. Would recommend 10/10!
This game in my opinion goes much more on the suspense side than horror, you're in a totally weird place surrounded by mannequins where you have no idea what's going on and it leaves you alert 100% of the time, and then enter one of the most positive points of the game which is the ambiance and the soundtrack, other positive points that I will mention is the story and how the game lets you discover things alone, making the main objective clear but without telling you how to get there. There are a few bugs but nothing that gets in the way of the gameplay itself. Gameplay could be more fluid in my opinion. The mechanics of the mannequins at the end of the first part of the game together with the bizarreness that happens was incredible. This game has a lot more stuff and is much deeper than you think the first time you start it.
It is an excellent game with its puzzles, graphics, mechanics and excitement in the game.
When you wake up in the game, a spooky room awaits you. Don't forget to turn on the lights!

The game is beautiful. The textures and models are very successful. The story is compelling and gripping. Unlike the monotony of other horror games, I had to think while playing to really discover something. I do not recommend playing at midnight, because the music of the game and the mannequins used constantly stressed me out. I got really nervous and scared during some parts of the game.

An interesting horror game that is quite similar to other top horror games but it is made so that it has it's own charm when people are playing it. The game is about you navigating through a place that is full of mannequins. The mannequins itself are pretty frightening especially if you walk close to them and they will react to you. The mechanics in this game is quite simple and the gameplay itself is quite addicting especially if you like to do some puzzles in a horror game. The map and the environment works well with the game plus the sound effects are very suitable with the situation given which gives it the eerie feeling to the player. Overall, with the game cheap price tag, I think this is a good game for you to buy and it is worth every penny.

As a fan of horror games I am always looking forward to see the qualities of them, like they should have make me think deeply because of puzzle/logical problems included, and another characteristics that i am looking for is they should have a unique planned themes, like the game should have a clear story running from start until the end, and then finally is the game should properly scatter jumpscares, in short, the games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Fatal Frame are my basis whether a game is good or not, and this game is one of them!
I like this game, i like the game creators have planned it, they are following the strategies of the top horror games yet they could create and implement their own unique style, like they included our current situation happening right now but telling it discretely. I also like the sub stories of the people scattered around in the game, it makes me wonder what really happened to them before, during and after i arrive at the scene. I am also like how NPC's express who are they, what really happened to them, and how they will interact to you into simplest way.
My final thoughts are, It is an Indie Game which has a moat and potential to improve, it could have a next chapter, and i think we should support them, because the brightest ones always starts at the beginning!
Initially i was skeptical about this game since i am not a fan of horror games and they dont tend to scare me often. However, after getting recommended by steam i decided to give this game a try and honestly the whole storyline and concept behind it has blown me away. The value for money this game offers is unmatched since your'e getting a complete horror game with a storyline i have never seen in a game before for just 2.99$. The whole concept of the mannequins with brains and no souls is exceptional and reminds of a game called five nights at freddy's which took the world by storm due to a new concept and i beleive if some youtubers were to play this game it'll definetly sky rocket in terms of plays. The overall mystery this game offers from the start along with the creepy background music that slowly builds up and scares you deeply is another great point. However, one of the cons of this game is that there should be a mini-map to guide the player since i get it although its played at night but still might be useful for players like me. Additional features such as draggable objects were another plus point which enabled me to reach areas that were inaccessible. I was glad to see the option to modify graphics which you dont get to see much often in indie games. Some other unique features were the flashlight reloading animation, interesting implementation of inventory which reminds me of minecraft so therefore you can use skills from other games and implement them in this game. The checkpoint implementation to restore progress if i died was really helpful since i found the game pretty difficult (in a good way because horror games should be hard). Lastly, i constantly found myself being extra carefull because of the moving mannequins outside the border yet still i got jumpscared so therefore the game got me.
Totally recommended. 9/10 and with some other improvements perhaps a longer storyline or quick play modes will make it one of the best indie games on steam.

It's a horror game, and it does what's it supposed to do i.e. terrify the player; and it does it well. The game starts off with you waking up from the floor, heavily injured and in pain. The room is pitch black and you have a flashlight with limited battery life. Once you've taken an additional battery, you head outside and see this very sinister, disturbing atmosphere. There are mannequins, and the crazy thing is that they are [i]alive![/i] I almost jumped when one of the mannequins started to stare at me. The experience is best when you don't know what's going to happen.

I've seen a person complain about the [b]graphics[/b], but honestly the graphics go superbly well with the ominous atmosphere of the game. The game itself is mostly dark throughout the gameplay, and the flashlight lights up the area pretty well. The graphics themselves are pretty terrifying, and that's exactly how they should be.

I haven't gone to the best part yet. The [b]soundtrack[/b]. Honestly speaking, if you wanna spook the heck out of yourself, be alone and wear headphones. The soundtrack is so sinister and brooding that it makes you want to check if it's coming from the outside. I did that and it only added to the spookiness. That, along with the eerie sound effects, made the game one heck of a ride.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. There were a few caveats in gameplay, but to me, all the other factors made up for this and it was a petrifying experience, as it should be. If you like good horror with a good plot, this will be worth your money.
The game has really immersive content. The scenario and dynamics of the game are very good. Directions and task list prepared by the game for users provide convenience to the player. It really deserves praise in the horror game category. In addition, the puzzles and letters in the game create beautiful details added to the game. There are of course minor bugs in the game. However, I think the game will go further, and it will come to the place it truly deserves. I respectfully greet everyone involved.

I put the children to bed and started playing in complete darkness with excellent headphones. Very frightening. Emotions are provided. The game itself is cool, like a quest, you walk in the dark, solve various quest tasks. Addicts and captivates. I advise playing this game.

After spending 3 hours playing this game, I can genuinely say that the game's concept is very interesting since the developers used the mannequins as the source of horrifying characters. What scares me the most is that the mannequins have human-like movements, and when you approach some of them, they will attack you. The graphics of the game is also good. I would recommend this game to everyone, especially those who like single-player horror games, to play because the storyline is good and the purchase is worth it. It would be best to be observant when playing since some objectives are challenging to accomplish in a dark environment. It is a thrilling and exciting experience to play this game, 10/10.

When I first realized that the game had moving MANNEQUIN in them, I was already convinced that this is a good game. I am terrified of MANNEQUINS ever since I was young, lol. I did not expect to encounter it on a horror game XD.
Other than that, the game requires a lot of thinking and decision making. Its a dark environment, so you really have to open your eyes and carefully look for the missing objects. I highly recommend this game if you want a good suspense and story.

Great game that I really enjoyed. I was looking for a scary game to play alone and with friends, so one of my buddy's recommended this game for me and I tried it out. Scarier than I thought it would be when I first looked at it, the game does a good job of getting you emersed in what's going on. The music and tight corners made me close in as I was always on alert trying to watch out for any jump scare, or danger. Overall, I enjoyed it because I was looking for a simple, easy-to-pick-up horror game, and this game delivered that.
I can say this is one of the most efficient games I have played recently and definitely recommend it to people who like horror games. You have yo figure out how to escape this weird place and pay attention to every detail to find helpful information. The scary parts really get you and the sound effects are so well placed to keep you all the time in suspense. I ve played this game for like 2 hours so far and i must say it s pretty interesting. This whole idea with the puzzel and finding different objects it keeps you in the game and makes you curios about what will happen next. I found some small bugs like you can get stuck on bed if you jump on it, but nothing that would bother you. Over all the game it s moving pretty smooth and the quality of graphics are also good ( they might need some retouches). The idea with the humans memory trapped inside the mannequins it kinda scary and makes you to think if this will happen in the future. From my point of view it deserves a shot . Enjoy
The immersive storyline with all the side quests you can take. I liked it enough to play it for 5400 hours, so yeah it deserves the money. With the high graphics resolution, I think it is the best horror game ever.

I am not a fan of horror games and I play them once in a blue moon but this game has caught my attention. First things first, I noticed that the "dummy" theme concept has been very well executed in comparison to other games with similar concept. It keeps you on your toes throughout the whole game and the horror effect can really be felt. As a fan of puzzles, I have not been dissapointed with the way they have been incorporated in the game. Game did crash once after death but all in all, it ran smoothly. It has really exceeded my expectations.
I enjoy playing this game in my free time.

I love how this game creates tension by providing the players little-to-no visibility as they explore the environment. It skillfully builds up suspense with its unsettling background music and its clever placement of NPCs. There are a lot of occasions when the game forces you to squeeze yourself in between hostile NPCs without knowing if they would suddenly grab you or not move at all. It's ingenious that the developer managed to give off a sense of dread by just using stationary objects. The setting is also great! Its dark foggy ambiance builds up psychological tension as the NPCs sometimes blend in with the environment. Its low visibility causes a sense of panic as it forces the player to listen carefully for footsteps. This ingenious game design brings out one of the good qualities of the game - its unsettling music, thus making uneventful moments filled with suspense. Though, I have to say that there are a few bugs that you might encounter here and there. But, to experience a psychological horror game that can constantly keep the tension going makes it a game that everyone should try.
Great ambiance and great soundtrack, Midnight: Submersion really knows how to create atmosphere. The mannequins are so cool, from the way they move to [spoiler]the way they are intertwined with another game mechanics[/spoiler]. The puzzles are very nice too, not being obscure and convoluted is the way to do it, and here they respect your time and attention. Graphics are good and the sound design is amazing!
Very interesting horror game for a price so cheap! I have not encountered any bugs during my playthrough, so if you like puzzles, exploration, horror and a good bit of tension, you really should try this one out!

I played the game for 11 hours because I just couldn't get over the nostalgia the old-school visuals gave me. I haven't played a horror game in a loooong while, but I just couldn't resist; I played it all night and was late to my university in the morning - and I have no regrets.
The closest comparison I can make is that its kind of like a Lovecraft's Novel - it's perfect for a comfy little Saturday evening to just cuddle up in a blanket, with a cup of coffee and get lost in the gameplay.
It's definitely not a cheap thrill with jumpscares and no actual value, it's a comfy and sweet game with interesting puzzles and a very subtle eerie aesthetic.
You unfold the storyline through entertaining puzzles and chase around the mannequins with no eyes. It gave me such a rush of dopamine, and this sweet taste of nostalgia - it reminded me of the games I played in middle school, but this game is so much better. Takes place in a sort of dystopia, and I must admit the aesthetic kind of reminded me of some abandoned communist village in Siberia you'd read about in a short indie sci-fi novel. The music makes the scenery tense, the puzzles give you a sort of detective-like dopamine rush, and the chases will make you smile with excitement. And my God, - I cannot emphasise how much I love this game.
Not a masterpiece, but a sweet and comfy, well-made game - and for the price range, there'll never be a game that can come close - Again, expect Lovecraft, not Poe.

Outstanding game, I was scared most of the time by the nature of the creepy mannequins who kept showing out of nowhere, I like horror games but this was different and nice for a change, The puzzles can be quite challenging but you will always find clues on how to solve them if you walk around enough. Overall i'd give it a 9/10, only reason why it doesnt have a 10/10 is because it has no coop option. They should consider adding it on the future.

This is one quite interesting old school style horror with some mechanics you don't see very often in horror games.
Set in some dark dystopian city occupied by dummies, your every movement is monitored by them (and they don't even have eyes :o), you find wake up and explore; the game gives you that chills right from the start, you gotta learn what happend as you venture through the night. The music makes whole journey a lot creepier, and the chases are peak of the gameplay, I especially like the fact that you can actually cleverly defend not just run from enemies.
The story is unfolding mostly by reading documents that you have to find through puzzles and exploration.
Overall for the price it costs this game is worth a shot, especially if you haven't played any horrors in recent times.
I have really enjoyed playing the game. The quality of the picture and the storyline looks great for the amount of money. I believe that it is a perfect beginning for everyone who is interested in horror games. The taste of detective-oriented gameplay also looks great - I like the fact I need to seek the next clues and equipment. Overall, I am really happy with what I got and I am aiming to finish the game playing all week long!

A newly release game I'd recommend! I love the concept of this game <3 Not a clown, not an alien,mutant or ghost but a mannequin. The game itself is Oddly creepy with the feeling like all mannequin are looking at you the whole time you walk around and yes they will chase and try to kill you at some point! Pretty difficult to escape. Perfect amount of jump scare XD
My most favorite part is a game puzzle, you got to try to solve it while some mannequin will try to chase and kill you whenever they can. The puzzle is not easy and that's why I think this game will also be fun for a horror and puzzle game fan!
I've encountered a few bug where I stuck in the map and can't move, need to restart the game. Sometimes I can't pick up the items but it good after trying for a few times. Very good start for a new game! Big support from me :)
The story unfolds in an unscrupulous world. The game really stands out with its brutalistic and creepy aesthetic. I love the soundtrack with its ominous and dissonant sounds.
The interface and the controls are fine but it would be great to be able to multitask like being able to turn your flashlight on and off while examining objects There are a few bugs, like inaccurate interaction options appearing from time to time. Mechanics are generally good though jumps can be unreliable. There are quests that include puzzles and they're not overwhelming, which I love. Stealth indicators could be improved since you can sometimes die unexpectedly. But there is no combat and you can respawn at the last checkpoint.
It has just the right amount of jump scares and the mannequins' inanimate yet watchful presence combined with their faceless expressions genuinely gave me chills. It feels like their blank faces hold untold stories. If you enjoy psychological horror with a strong aesthetic and environmental storytelling this game is it.

The story is good, and it makes you want to follow it with interest. I enjoy playing the game and recommend it to anyone who loves the genre and likes puzzles.
An interesting, atmospheric game along the lines of the PS4 Outlast series, with elements of the Xbox 360 classic Condemned. Eerie and jumpy by turns, it combines a good mix of action and puzzle solving skills - a staple of all survival horror since Clocktower many years ago. Mannequins are always creepy, and with good AI similar to indie hit The Forest, are vividly brought to life - as it were - in the game. The narrative ark and music are effective too. While there are some issues running it at a high frame rate, it's an interesting addition to the Survival Horror cannon. Recommended!
