ITS COOL I LIKE IT
I LOVE IT
Very comforting game to play when you're lonely and don't want to bother any of your friends for a bit. <3
High quality children's media is rare and important. This is one example. It's been an excellent introduction to computer games for my 3.5 year old.
It's simply amazing like everything Vectorpark does
It is an alphabet “game” for kids. I can't say I learned anything from it but I can see it being an ok game for kids from mainly English speaking countries.
Beautiful edutainment toy.
It helped me learn the alphabet. Lifesaver!
this is the best game on the steam store if you have steam you need this I LOVE METAMORPHABET please play this its so good
is gud
My 4 year old loves this game. It's a great way for her to learn new words.
Everything is quite polished. The animations and interactive elements are very delightful.
Highly recommended

Nice little interactive alphabet that would be good with kids (they might not be able to figure it all out if they are too young as there's bits to play around with that they might not consider.
Honestly the animation is incredible, I love Vectorpark's work. Fun to play around with!

My son loves this game - can't stop playing it. It's incredibly creative and fun, and is his favorite videogame so far.
Metamorphabet is an interactive way to explore the alphabet. All you do is click the mouse and the picture morphs; there's also English audio stating what you're looking at ("A", "Amble", "E", "Elephant", etc). My child wasn't interested in it at three years old, but at four really enjoys it. Best bought on sale.
This is a lovely and creative exploration of the letters of the English alphabet. Each letter receives a number of interesting words, represented via interactive animations, before you move on to the next. I found it a delight to go through well worth the $5 price tag, and my then 4 (now 5) year old has had great fun going through the different elements, learning each word, and learning to interact with a mouse in a natural feeling way.
Kid loves it, he's 2 and a half. At first it was rough, as it turns out it is hard to explain how to use a mouse to someone who has no idea what a mouse is. But he caught on quick and can roll through almost the whole thing on his own now.
this game is so relaxing its like if your dreaming i especially like the M part cuz it has the funny looking monster in it so i defintely reccomend this game if your stressed this game 10/10 well not just M part its EVERYYTHING! so thats what i want to say
A great and cute little game for kids to teach them about the alphabet and different words starting with each letter. I was messing around with it as much as my toddler was!
More complex than just a kids game!
While this game may look extremly simplistic, it's way more than that. It's a very good test for yourself and your own purity. Below I'll describe how my playthrough went. I know it will be long, but trust me, it will be entertaining and amusing. I swear that everything happened exactly how I wrote it. My younger bro gifted me this because he got it in a bundle and didn't want it. He lost such a trippy treasure that is Metamorphabet.
I won't be covering all the letters since I didn't try to guess every single one. Also some letters won't have my guesses only comments. You'll see what I mean as you read on. For relevancy and to understand my review watch a playthrough of the game on YT, I'm sure it's short. To explain the gameplay basically when you click on a letter the lady will pronounce it and then you'll get 3 words based on that letter and letter will show these words with action or shaping into them.
With all this out of the way I rolled up mi spliffy, booted up the game, started to play and it went like this:
A- nothing
B- Beard, Beak, BUGS *B grows a beard and a beak then bugs start to fly out*
I get starship troopers flashbacks
BUGS,BUUUUGS!
C - CONE (I chuckle while holding my RAW cone)
*suddenly siren starts blaring* I panic and throw my spliff in ashtray as I put my headphones down then realize it's in a game.
Game:Car
me: No.. a bloody heart attack!
D- Door, dawn, * door appears, then the sun and then cloud comes in through the door, forming a shape of different animals*
me an intellectual: SMOKE! Gandalf did a boat!
Game: DaYdReAm
Then it was nothing for a while and we start with the letter which key you'll most likely wanna press while reading this review.
F - * letter grows foot* Foot * then it grows something green like leaves on itself*
me an intellectual: *chuckles* Time is past 4:20. (at the time of writing this it's 9 am)
game: FeAtHeRs
Nah, I own a Senegal parrot , these don't look like feathers to me. Then on O you have orange and ostrich and I literally bounced the orange off it's beak for like 5 mins or so.
Q - Quack, QUAKE *yells at the top of my lungs* "You letters don't stand a chance against me ! All roads lead to hell. Every last one of 'em." - Quake 3 Arena Doomguy
T- *Clicks on it and something starts growing from it*
Me an intellectual: Tentacles!
game: TrEe
*clicks on other two branches* Table, Tongue
Me: I see what you did there... Sneaky. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
U - *grows two faces each on one side of the letter* Upset, Umbrella
*I closed the umbrella and held the mouse button to keep it closed*
me being on cloud 9: Shii~ If I close the umbrella it kinda looks like that eggplant emoji (because the 2nd face on the right side of U has green hair from where the umbrella grows out).
V- Vacuum, Village *V turns into Vacuum and village grows under it*
I proceed to vacuum the whole village in evil laughter like some deranged maniac.
Now I know why Cell loved to do this stuff.
W - Wagon, Walrus, Waves..
me: Where is the master engineer and humanity's neo-god, our true savior Wilford?!
*does the Wilford's W sign with hand*
(Yeah, I binged Snowpiercer 3rd season, it's amazing!)
Z - Zipper, Zebra *game suddenly closes in on Zebra's eye and it becomes demonic then goes into space where kids fly around, kinda like an out of body experience*
Me an intellectual: Zolpidem!
Game: ZoOm
And there you have it folks. My trip or rather said - an amusing journey through the letters in game, realising I'm far from pure-minded individual and I have to reflect on that.
Ultimately I'd say that this game can be way deeper and much more than just a kid's game. I definitely recommend it. It'll teach kids the alphabet and it'll remind you of your purity. Win-win scenario.
THE END
It legitimately is a 20 minute game, for an adult to play, anyway. It as artsy and really neat! Probably more of a game for pretty young kiddos but it was super creative. Nice wind-down for my night.

This game filled my 4-year-old's 30 min daily gaming slot with wholesome fun and laughter. We'll play again tomorrow!
It may be short and aimed for a younger audience but it`s fun exploration, wonderful animation and humour just made it a joy to play.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Metamorphabet. The mechanics are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the words will go over a typical player's head. There's also the letter N's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into its characterisation - its personal philosophy draws heavily from Dr. Seuss literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this lore, to realize that it's not just epic- it says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Metamorphabet truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in the letter Z's existencial catchphrase "Zebra," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Vectorpark's genius unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools... how I pity them. :joy: And yes by the way, I DO have a letter F tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
Very short, but very charming. Not really a game, but more a lovely little bit of interactive art, and suitable for any age.
All the animation is excellent and very smooth ... though during the section for the letter B I did notice a lot of bugs!
Simply an incredible piece of art. :)
This might be the best game to ever exist...
This is not really a game, but it's more of an educational game. I still had super fun with it though.
The art is really amazing and you can interact with everything in the game. Every letter becomes something that starts with that letter and you can interact with all of the stuff no matter how small. It is such a weird experience, but super fun and funny to play with everything.
The interactive sounds and the sounds of the letters and the forms the letters take are just incredible. I had so much fun interacting with everything and it having all of the sounds it needs to have to fit in.
The only thing that I would change is that it takes a while for the next letter to unlock even though you have already seen the last form of the letter.
Overall a really fun and cute educational game for kids.
Amazing 10/10 I love it
I was surprised how few early learning games I could find on steam. They were all over the place in the 90's. But this fascinated my 3 year old for hours and we aren't all the way through the alphabet yet. He loves to go revisit other letters he's already figured out all the little secrets to. My situation is pretty specific, I have a 3 year old with a strong grasp and interest in letters and numbers but has trouble with pronunciation and speech in general. This gave him a lot of good examples of words and sounds to practice with a lot of fun things to do along the way. He LOVES making the duckling quack in "Q" and making the ostrich chase the orange in "O"
I'd love more games like this as a parent.
A wonderfully imaginative way to explore the alphabet. Definitely recommend if you have young kids! This was perfect for my two year old.
For VectorPark -
Your games are FABULOUS. You have no idea how functional and beneficial your games are for Speech and Language therapy!!! Thank you so very much for these gems; I use them often for helping phonological awareness, reading, and speech sound production! PLEASE continue making games like the two you have beautifully crafted. Hope you have wild success in your future video game development endeavors!!

I... Have a loss for words... This is one of the strangest games I've ever played.
Have been playing this with my almost-2-year-old and he loves it. Clicking on the various elements is great fun and he's enjoying repeating some of the words or laughing maniacally at some of the actions. Beautiful animations.
For £4 this is about one of the best ways you can teach your kids about the alphabet. Both of my kids have absolutely loved it, to the point that over the last 5 years we've played a game that takes half an hour to run through for over 35 hours.
It's not phonics based, however, and the pronunciations are American so you might need to make allowances or corrections depending on how your kids are being taught and where you live.
Metamorphabet is a cute game that is something like a Sesame Street animation come to life. There isn't much content here for adults, but it's still fun to bounce around the letters and see what springs out of them.
This is a terrific game for small children. My 3 year old loved it, and it is teaching him his letters in addition to learning about pointing and clicking.
This is an amazing game for kids wih fluid graphics
this game crazy as heck man i learnt so many cool words like caterpillar and elephant it was pretty wack, pretty wizard, pretty fly, pretty neat i mean i learnt at least 50 words from this thats how crazy it is. recommend for year 12 students cos they gonna become real smart after this.
Vector Park has always been a great source of inspiration for me. This little game is magical. I've been playing it with my toddler but would recommend any curious or creative person to check it out and be blown away by how well crafted it is.

Metamorphabet is a delightful little indie gem from the makers of Windosill that will appeal to players of all ages (but especially young ones and their parents) who appreciate a short, pick-up-and-play, casual experience centred on sensory play and audio/visual feedback. The goal is for the player to navigate and trigger the transformation and sequential transition (morphing) between letters of the alphabet, each having its own interactive mini-sandbox environment that rewards exploration and free play.
Though sharing similar elements, Metamorphabet succeeds over its predecessor Windosill in a few ways:
1) when it comes to sensory play, visually, it's more colourful and stimulating,
2) there is an educational value inherent in the letters of the alphabet theme for early learners, and to that end, the game appears to be thoughtfully designed to help with letter memorisation, sequencing, and basic phonics & pronunciation (providing a couple examples for each letter voiced by a woman who articulates words and sounds clearly and slowly enough that a young child may follow),
3) this game is more accessible for early learners - because of its concise structure and short length - and in the sense that it is very easy to jump right in and start enjoying any given interactive component (from knocking on a door to throwing a car up in the air and waiting for it to careen back to the ground thanks to some fun, in-game sandbox physics).
Metamorphabet can be considered a rare, true example of an 'all ages' experience - especially if you are able to play the game with a touch screen monitor (the ideal platform/way to play). Though short, the structure and conciseness of the overall package encourages return visits.
My experience with the game over the past few years, especially from the POV of a parent, having shared it with my then-two-year-old who is now five and the primary user of this software, has me believe that the short length of time it takes to complete the game (if one were to speed-run through in a few minutes) should be viewed *not* as a limitation justified by a low, low price, but rather, as a positive and desirable feature. The length (whether 20 minutes or 5 minutes depending on their stage of development) is ideal for younger audiences with shorter attention spans; it keeps things fun and they're more likely to return to it. As they get older, they will go through the game faster. For parents concerned about limiting a child's "screen time," especially on the mobile platform (should you buy the game in an app store for your cell), another benefit of the length is that the complete experience is attainable within many of the recommended "screen time" constraints. To this end, a further benefit of the Steam version is that the game can here be played on a monitor that's not as harsh on a young child's developing eyes as a cell phone screen when it comes to peripheral vision issues (as far as research suggests up to this point).
In our household, along with "It's Spring Again" (a much shorter title that's not as strong in my opinion), this game has been getting fairly regular play over the past couple years. My five-year-old son still asks for this game on his own (out of my collection of several hundred) and the educational value he has received from it has scaled to his development of new learning capacities - from initial tactile and audio/visual feedback using a gaming laptop with a touch screen to his learning of the alphabet, to his application of the alphabet to sounds associated with words. As a source of entertainment, it has provided incredible value for the asking price.
While the game is better on touch screen monitors, it can be played with a mouse - though my son wouldn't have been able to find the game so accessible that way early on. We tried it that way a few times, and while he can navigate it this way fine now at five and still have an enjoyable experience (though not the preferred or most fun way to play), at three and four years old he would lose patience much faster via mouse control.
No matter the format, this game should be on your short list if you have a young one and are trying to think of how games might play a positive role in their development, or, if you yourself are into short, visually and aurally-stimulating, casual experiences with a flair for surrealist art and free play via mini-sandboxes (e.g. a lot of musical instruments represented in game that you can touch - guitar strings, xylophone, drums, and more). I have to admit, I have enjoyed my own time with this one, and it's a nice, stress-free experience.
5/5
METAMORPHABET
Genre: Interactive/Edutainment/Hidden Object?
Value for Price ($5): Low to Moderately Low
Quality: High
Completion Play Time: Half an hour
If you've ever seen Sesame Street or other edutainment shows from PBS Kids and Nick Jr. than you probably seen something EXTREMELY similar to Metamorphabet, which is a family interactive experience designed to teach children the alphabet and words associated with each letter. An illustrated word appears on the screen followed by a calm female announcer clearly saying the word.
Going in alphabetical order, a large colored letter appears on the screen, nearly inviting you to click it to interact with it in some fashion. Either the letter will transform into something or something else appears near it, demonstrating the letter, though, it is very beautifully animated with quasi-3d vector graphics. The whole time, I was reminded of a similar looking short, little interactive experience called Windowsill, which also was made by the same developer and released on Steam..
Some of the transformations are quite impressively introduced, animated, and implemented. The letter "L" spits out a Log from its top. Then that log can be rolled around back and forth until you knock the L down, in which the l will lounge back and fall asleep and dream about an infinity symbol, prompting the word "Lazy". Push the lazy 'L' back over the log and it will morph into a "Lizard". Push the lizard on the log until it zooms in and out to show more lizards walking around on an infinity symbol (while you're able to drag the mouse to change their speed, mind you) and the new word illustrated is Loop. I was probably most amused by the letter O, which dropped an orange, which then could be thrown in the sky to then display a solar system among other spherical objects (The word "Orbit") and then the planets went a way and left the Orange, in which the big letter O returned as an ostrich, staring at the Orange. Oh, and the Ostrich will walking, move its head and contort its neck in hilarious fashion to stare and peck at the orange. Q also amused me, especially if your complete the quilt properly, you'll get a bonus animation.
Each letter will have anywhere from about 3-6 words associated with them, and once you interact with them all, you'll get a star in the upper right corner that leads you to the next letter. You can view previously completed letters from an alphabet menu pop-up in the upper left corner.
I probably gave Metamorphabet the longest review on Steam. It took me longer to write this than to complete it. It's an amusing little distraction and while time spent with it seems to short for $5, the quality of it seems to fit it, though, this would be an easier buy at $3. It's certainly worth checking out, especially if you have children in the alphabet/vocabulary learning stage.
It's not a game, it's a toy. And it's very very well made. It's an interactive art, an expirience.
It's like a dream. It won't give you a sense of achievement, but why should it.
I'm 27 years old. I need to brush up on my ABC's! :) :P Sesame Street sucks!
Great for a 3.75 year old.
This is very fun and interactive.
What a great game! I bought this for my three-year-old and already he's keeping track of which things he wants to see and which letter it starts with. We play with him on my lap - I think he could play it by himself but it's definitely better if you play the game with your kiddo. I love the real-world physics and the fun imaginative animations. I'd love to see Vectorpark come out with a math game that has similar animations. The game uses words that aren't always common in the US, but this isn't a problem if you want your child to have a broad vocabulary. I came across this game while looking at Windosill, another awesome Vectorpark game that everybody should check out.

A pleasant and creative teaching tool for kids. Nice animation, too, for anyone who's into that.
Easy to understand gameplay. Good for all ages, though some imagery gets a bit weird.
Damn I got stuck on C. Can anybody let me copy off theirs?
love it
This is a wonderful learning exercise. Please keep up good work like this. Beautiflu graphics and good and proper sound, surprises all the way and much to discover along the way. More of this, please!
My 2 year olds LOVE this game. It has helped greatly with their letters, and they basically learned to use a mouse and trackpad just to play this thing! Please make more educational games like this! Most of the ones you get out there are cartoony crap, yours I can actually play with them without overdosing on cutesy pictures.
This is, by far, the most tactile application I've experienced with a mouse. It is something I know I'll revisit when I need a lift in my day. I have zero shame in saying that I love this as a working, educated adult. I definitely encourage ANYONE to indulge in delightful toys and things like this because it will make you feel great!
wth did i just play
Awesome educational interactive software.
Not very long, but it's masterpiece.
My 4 year old son really took part in whole process, and he laughs so much on almost all letters
I've enjoyed it equally.
najlepsze xD
Excellent educational instrument.
I hope more games of this quality are produced in the near future.

Whether you've got kids or not (but especially if you've got kids who are learning the alphabet), this is just utterly delightful. Everything is so imaginative, beautifully animated and tactile, complimented by lots of lovely sound effects and colour palettes. All this makes you want to poke around and play with things. Like Vectorpark's other stuff, particularly Windosill, it's a little wonder.
Not really a game - just a wonderful animated alphabet picture book for small children.
We've logged hours on this on another machine - beautifully animated and cutely interactive.
Great little learning game for young kids.
Not as good as Windosill. Probably fun for kids but it's too structured for me. Windosill's greatness was seeing all the items interact with each other, and seeing fairly elaborate scenes full of surprises. There are around 26 scenes in this one, instead of Windosill's 10, and as such, each one has less things to see. It's good and I don't know any games like Vectorpark's games, so you don't have many alternatives if you like this style of game. A few of the letters have really delightful transitions, and Y had a fairly profound moment, as silly as it sounds.
A Really creative game!
As an 18 year old non-native speaker I learned a word, I did not expect that. Why am I playing this as an 18 year old dude? It was on sale for 0,01 cents on a certain site. Was it worth that one cent? Yes, quite, the animations were entertaining.
Bought it for my kids. They love it and it's great for teaching them how to use and control a mouse. (It was fun for me too!)
This game definition is "weird" i dont know what kind of twisted mind came up with the idea. This game feels as weird as interesting. This game might not be for everybody, it is extremely short and it actually makes no difference playing it and watching the complete gameplay, but just because how it made me feel i think it is a game worth mentioning.
It's magical, and my multilingual 6 year old loves it. I have many games, and while he is spellbound by some of them, like the intro to Ori and Blind Forest, etc. He asked to play this one again. If you have small children, get them this game, they'l love it and so will the child in you.
HONESTLY.. I watch one of Pewdiepie's video playing this thing. And i guess yeah let's buy this for my nieces and nephews. Boom! and they like it! That kid improve a lot on her ABCs recognition and pronunciation. Non english speaker here, so it help my niece & nephew a lot to improve their second language :)
Great game, no music, just plain simple educational experience with amazingly entertaining animations.
Kept kids busy for around 20 minutes, to go through first time, but they look forward to playing again.
Excellent game. Improved my English pronunciation interactively! :3
10/10 would learn English again.
My new Dark Souls
Great if I was a 2 year old
Fun for kids!

- Very short!
There isn't much to say about this one. I finished it in 25 minutes, even taking my time. It isn't like Windosill, where there are odd little puzzles. It's always obvious what you should be doing, or if not, just clicking around aimlessly (or in some cases, not clicking) will usually move you to the next "stage" of the letter you're on. I'm not sure this is worth the full price, but if you catch it on sale, it's a weird and fun little piece of interactive art to have in your library.
Lovely preschool-level game. My three year old loves it! It's good mousing practice.
Fun, My younger cousin likes to play it
