This is a pretty enjoyable short puzzle platformer. It feels very nostalgic and really reminds me of a Game Boy Color style game. None of the levels are overly challenging but they're still satisfying to complete. It's pretty cheap and if you enjoyed retro puzzle platformers, you'll probably enjoy this small blast from the past kind of game.
Bought this in a sale bundle and it's lots O' fun! I love the 100 short levels that make this a game a great pick-up-and-play anytime activity.
A cute short platformer with interesting mechanics and a lot of charm.
Took me a little under 2 hours to finish though steam only registered 2 minutes (I’m guessing because I was disconnected from wifi while playing it).
A good recommendation for someone's first platforming experience or someone looking for a snack size game to wash off after a 50+ hour adventure.
My only complaint would be the lack of an achievement for finishing the game.
Edit; Steam page says 100 levels, but there are only 96 (might look like a small thing, but still feels dishonest IMO)

Simple platformer with light puzzle elements. Took me 60 minutes to beat - but I had fun doing it. No full-screen option, quit button or sound settings in-game. Best to grab it on sale.
Mekabolt is a very simple and easy platformer with 96 short levels that most players will complete 100% in less than two hours. The game frequently goes on sale for 99 cents, and for that price I found it entertaining enough to be worth playing but I would not recommend it at full price.
I enjoyed my time with it but with less than 2 hours on record that is up for you to decide if it is worth the price

The puzzles are easy but satisfying, there are some interesting and fun mechanics; too bad the best one was saved for the last chapter, though I would say it makes sense given the way the different mechs are introduced.
It's a pretty simple but fun platformer.
I'd recommend it if you want a casual game, just to lay back and relax. It' art is also very nice and eye pleasing.

Short, simplistic and ultimately forgettable puzzle platformer. While it might initially appear to have a large number of levels available, the levels are all extremely short and seem more like outlines than fully developed puzzles.
While I don't think there was ever a mobile version of this It [i]does[/i] bring to mind the type of puzzle games you see on phones, where the scope and complexity has been cut down to fit the restraints of that format.
It's not that it's [i]terrible[/i] — it plays well enough and has some charm — but in the end it's just too brief, forgettable and generic to warrant much of a recommendation. And as if too further cement that feeling the final achievement ticks before even the brief length of the game is over.
Mekabolt is a simple 2D Pixel Platformer. I'm a fan of Pixel Art games in general. I suggest adding an Exit button and a full screen option, so you don't have to press Alt + Enter to enable full screen.

Fun little game, but really short. It took me around 30 minutes to get all achievements (you don't even have to finish the game), and 15 more to beat it.

除了最后一关需要动一点点脑子，剩下的95关解谜部分简单到让我感觉自己一直在玩教学关卡。
游戏的难度主要在平台跳跃和射击的难受手感，个别地方跳跃和射击的目标准确度达到了少数几个像素的级别，但是游戏本身的手感（按键灵敏度、碰撞体积设计等，尤其是主角那坚硬如钢的头发）并不能完全支撑这些高技巧性的部分。
总的来说本作音画效果一般，手感略差，内容略少，基本没什么亮点，推荐度比较低。

Kurz, weil man das Spiel in etwa 80 Minuten durchhat, obwohl es 96 Level hat.
Und trotzdem machen die kurzen Abschnitte viel Spaß, auch wenn man oft sterben wird bei dem Versuch den Weg zum Ausgang zu finden.
Dabei lernen wir immer wieder neue Gegner und andere Spielelemente kennen, die wir mit unserem Gerät entweder kurz oder dauerhaft in einen anderen, weniger gefährlicheren Zustand versetzen, damit wir draufspringen können oder uns so den Weg nach oben oder über Lava ebnen. Wir können damit auch Schalter betätigen usw.

Alle neuen Elemente im Spiel werden sehr gut selbsterklärend eingeführt, lange Tutorials sind überflüssig.
So schießen und hüpfen wir uns da durch und können gar nicht aufhören, dieses „Noch ein Level“- Gefühl stellt sich sehr schnell ein.
Der sofortige Einstieg am Anfang des Levels nach dem Ableben macht das ganze auch nicht zu einem Ärgernis, weil man so keine zusätzliche Zeit verliert.
Außerdem ist die Lernkurve angenehm, man lernt Neues und wird Level für Level damit eingewöhnt, dann wird es anschließend herausfordernder.

Optisch ist das Spiel perfekt für den Steam Deck geeignet, auf dem ich das Ganze auch komplett problemlos durchgespielt habe. Auf großen Monitoren sieht Pixel Art einfach grauenvoll aus.
Die Musik ist angenehm zu hören und fügt sich sehr gut ein.
Das Spiel ist im Sale günstig zu bekommen, wer interessiert ist, kann für wenig Geld zuschlagen.
I was a bit worried about this one before buying it but, tbh, it's just the usual easy puzzle platformer with many levels and typical obstacles/graphics. It took me about an hour to complete it.
Despite the complaints i've read here, It worked 100% on my win10 desktop. Some minor glitches, fullscreen mode must be enabled manually (ALT+ENTER) and there's no rebinding for the keys. Also, achievements worked fine but you have to exit and re-start the game to see the last batch of them enabled.
All in all, decent game but nothing special. [6/10]
Fun, easy and can be completed in about an hour. An in-game volume slider and fullscreen toggle would have been nice, as it is you have to change the volume through the windows audio mixer and use alt+enter for fullscreen mode.

Me compré Mekabolt por 1€ y la verdad es que por ese precio merece la pena. Es sencillo y me parece curioso, para pasar el rato. Si hicieran una segunda parte con niveles más complejos me lo compraría.

Jugabilidad: Un plataformero 2D de "Puzzles" si es que se le puede llamar asi.
Gráficos: Un pixel art bastante simple, es bonito pero no destaca (La protagonista tiene un ._. de cara XD)
Dificultad: Un fetito de 6 años lo puede superar, es extremadamente facil y casi no posee dificultad, ni siquiera en los puzzles.
Historia: Desaparecieron las baterias que controlan a los robots y hace que no se rebelen, asi que tenes que encontrar las baterias. Es muy olvidable y no importante.
Musica: Simple, aceptable, me gusto en especial la canción del Mando de Control.
Duración: Es extremadamente corto, no dura ni 1h.
Precio: Le daria una reseña positiva al juego si no fuera por su precio, para un juego tan mediocre y corto el precio es bastante elevado.

No where as good as other games from this dev. I bought the 'Platform Bundle"... devious dungeons YES, Random Heros yes (but controls aren't told to you LIKE THIS GAME) The first cutscene needs you to press "z" but there was no prompt and the mechanics (particularly jumping) are quite unpleasant.
Fun game with well crafted sprites and a fun soundtrack. Most people will probably get more play time out of this than me, but at 23 min with all achievements and all levels beaten it felt a bit short.
The only downsides to this game is that it's a bit too easy and the levels are too short, but other then that, it's a great little game, especially if you grab it during a sale.
Dość standardowa platformówka, która sprawia wrażenie, jakby była tworzona na szybko.
Mekabolt opiera się na bardzo krótkich etapach, bo na przejście większości nie potrzeba nawet 30 sekund. Tak że nawet jeśli poziomów jest aż 96 (oszukujo, bo w opisie napisali, że 100), to przejście całości zajmuje mniej więcej godzinkę.
No i tak skaczemy, strzelamy, aktywujemy przyciski, by dostać się do baterii, której zebranie kończy poziom. Walk z bossami niestety brak. Żadnej innowacyjnej mechaniki tu nie ma, ale w zasadzie gra się przyjemnie. Poziom trudności jest raczej niski.
A dlaczego sprawia wrażenie, jakby była produkowana na szybko? Gra uruchamia się w oknie i nie ma opcji włączenia pełnego ekranu (trzeba użyć kombinacji alt i enter, a nie każdy musi o tym wiedzieć). Jak już jesteśmy na pełnym ekranie, to okazuje się, że nie ma opcji wyjścia z aplikacji, więc trzeba znowu użyć kombinacji alt i f4. Wszystkie osiągnięcia do zdobycia powiązane są z pierwszą połową gry, jakby w trakcie wymyślania ich nagle stwierdzono „a chrzanić to”. Nie działa też robienie zrzutów ekranu.

very good game. worth sale price, took just under an hour and a half to get all achievements.
A pretty short but enjoyable game, the levels are bite sized and easy to go through all of them at once. The mechanics are intersting, and the game keeps introducing new ones to keep the adventure fresh. The only issue regarding the level design is that there are a few trial and error moments. The graphics are pretty good, and the music is decent. I think it could've benefitted from a level editor or something to give it a little more value and replayability. But as is, it's a solid platformer, and it's more than worth picking up on sale.

If I had picked up [i]Mekabolt[/i] for myself during one of the common -75% sales, I'd probably be landing on a thumb mostly up, despite the issues below. I quite liked the A/V, liked that a controller worked well, liked that all achievements function as intended, and liked the arcade-y gameplay for what it is. It reminded me a bit of a lite [i]Megaman[/i], though you're fighting your way past pitfalls/gates, not past enemies. You might like it, too, for what it is. But I don't think I can recommend it generally to the [i]Puzzle Lovers[/i] audience.
[b]96 levels (24 each in 4 areas), easily beatable in an hour[/b]. Someone has lost all the batteries and you need to go find them, one per level. Levels emphasize arcade-y platforming more than puzzle-y platforming. Each board has some [b]pitfalls/traps[/b] that kill you and force a restart. You move some blocks, and fire your gun to flip switches or manipulate little robots, jumping your way around the pitfalls and [b]simple environmental logic gates[/b].
[b]Stylistically new but logically samey types of pitfalls/gates/bots are introduced as you go[/b]. This switch opens a gate made of a single block. This switch opens a laser-gate that functions a lot like a block-gate. This switch detonates a gate made of multiple bomb-blocks that function a lot like a block-gate or a laser-gate. This robot (or this one, or this one) needs to be put to sleep to hold down a switch. This robot (or this one, or this one) needs to be used to gain height for a jump. Etc. With only a few gates/bots per level, it's [b]hard to distinguish the "tutorial" levels that introduce a new(-ish) mechanic from the "OK, for reals, now" levels[/b] that are intended to offer a challenge -- and increasingly as the game goes on, [b]the main challenge comes from arcade-y stuff like carefully timing and positioning your jumps[/b]. Some bots just fire shots you need to dodge. There's levels with lava that you can only cross by using stalactites to build temporary platforms.
Outside of core gameplay. [b]glaring, basic, quality of life issues weaken the design[/b]:
It launches windowed with no way to go fullscreen except ALT+Enter -- but don't press that on the splash screen, because the actual game will immediately revert to windowed again. [b]Zero settings[/b] aside from separate Music/FX mutes. You land on the main menu and do not know what button will actually function to get you into the game -- it's X on keyboard, which functions as the fire button in-game. Z jumps, arrows move, [b]no rebinding[/b]. Done playing? There's no way to quit except ALT+F4, or manually reverting to windowed mode and clicking the "X" to close the window. Want to start over? There's no way to clear your save except manually navigating to delete the files on your drive.
Again: despite the weaknesses, I could still recommend this as a decent arcade-y platformer with a [i]hint[/i] of puzzling that's entertaining enough for part of an afternoon. If that's what you're looking for, I do think it's worth it on sale.

This is a game that is simple in design, but hard to master. The difficulty is solely on the player though, when you fail you don't feel cheated as you know where you went wrong. It's not a puzzle platformer, but you get the same satisfaction when you complete levels as if it was.
This game will train your patience, timing, quick decision making, and awareness. It is not a bullet hell, extreme precision platformer, or souls-like. It doesn't spam or overwhelm you, it is just a skill based game.

Very short and sweet puzzle platformer, with levels taking roughly 60 seconds or less.
Each of the four worlds swap out the mechanics of the previous world so you won't be doing the same things in 1-1 that you'll be doing in 2-1 so the experience gets a big freshen up every quarter.

Mekabolt is a console ported 2D retro pixel puzzle platformer. Gameplay consists of the usual old, dead platforming, a little shooting, and using the "Mekabolt" gimmick to solve some of the puzzles.
They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC.
Very cute game with good puzzle platforming action and nicely responsive controls. Timing was usually the trickiest thing for me, but I made it through to the end and enjoyed every bit of it. The pixel art is great (not surprising, given the fonts and asset packs that somepx has also created) and the even though the background tune is very short, I never found it annoying or feeling repetitive.
I highly recommend this game. Very fun puzzle platform with the perfect difficulty level. Perfect for a couple of hours of fun.
yeah not really any gameplay, i completed the game and every single achievement in 1.2 hours. so basically unless you get this game for like £0.10 it is so not worth any of your money, the gameplay isnt even that good, theres no way to change the awful keybindings, (z to jump) ew. and the levels arent difficult what so ever, so there is no challenge, the achievements are gained just by finishing the game which is what? 160 levels long or something may even be 80 idk its just not a good game, i would reccomend it if it wasnt £5 and instead was £0.10 or free but for the price it is just no lol

I haven't played many platform games on Steam, but I sure did enjoy Mekabolt.
Mekabolt is a platform game with 96 puzzles to solve, where you are to find one battery for each puzzle. On your way there, you meet obstacles such as different kinds of robots and traps to figure out with your long-range stun gun (a very effective one). Each 24 puzzles are placed in four different levels, which varies from jungle to a command center (or robot factory if it's correct to interpret in this case).
A good game with great variation of the puzzle designs and simple game mechanics. I sure enjoy good puzzles when I see one.

Мы управляем безымянным сотрудником (сотрудницей! А то сейчас набегут фемоботы >_<) компании Мекаболт, что собирает батарейки на 100+ уровнях.
Мешать, но так же и помогать в сборе батарей - будут сломанные роботы Метаболт. С помощью ружья, коим снаряжена наша героиня - мы можем включать и отключать роботов или их способности.
Используй летающего робота для того, чтобы подняться выше. Прыгай на роботе пружине в труднодоступные места. Остерегайся робо-кактуса, и множество ловушек, что разбросаны по уровням!
Заключение:
Легкая и ненапряженная игра. Даже ошибки и смерти персонажа - не заставляют Вас психовать, или бросать игру на середине - как некоторые представители данного жанра.
Уровни короткие, от них довольно сложно устать. Разбиты на несколько тематических зон со своими особенностями.
Присутствуют достижения - для получения которых достаточно пройти 50% игры.
Рекомендую к ознакомлению, тем более - на данную игру часто падает скида в 80%.
Из минусов: игра запускается в окне. После перехода в полноэкранный режим - нет возможности закрыть игру. Так как нет меню "ВЫХОД". Для закрытия игры - воспользуйтесь классической командой alt+f4, либо переведите игру в оконный режим и закройте посредством нажатия на крестик в правом верхнем углу.

La cuestión de los saltos esta muy bien pulida y no cuesta trabajo.
Hay una variedad de enemigos y con características cada uno, haciendo que algunos niveles puedan estar un poquito complicados o tenas que dar los saltos con un limitado tiempo pero no te tardarás en pasar cada nivel más de 5 intentos.
Sirve para distraer y entretener.

Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The controls on fine, it has nice background music (each song representing a 'zone'), and a nice variety of challenge throughout the game.
My two complaints are
1) the game is short... yet the variety of the levels does counter this complaint.
2) there are no options for screen sizes. There were a few cases of 'leap of faiths' in completing some of these levels.
Still, there is no time-consuming punishment for failing a level. There are unlimited lives. This game is really chill for the puzzle platformers. Is it worth the $5? Only if you plan on spending only about an hour of this game.
I'm giving this a thumbs up because of the sale... admittedly. I had fun with it :) Sure it was easy for me but I'm glad I gave this game a shot.
Fun, short platformer. Main mechanic is using your gun to alter the states of enemies, stopping them in place, changing their direction, etc. Great get if it's on sale and you want something that doesn't overstay it's welcome.

bought the game on sale, low price of 0.39 euro ct i believe. the game is too short.i played it through in only one hour. the game has good controls, pixel graphics and animations are neat. also the music is pretty catchy. but the game is waay to short. the levels are not that large too. and it happens they have begun to put the interesting levels, which make use of the game''s mechanics and phsyics only at the last part of the game. but i had fun with it, and it only costed me 39 ct so i dont really complain. - hoping for a sequel tho.
-and why is there no achievement for completing the game ? the last world holds no achievements. i got 14/14 achievements in under 64 minutes - easy achievements.
Worth the 67 cents I paid for it. I'd say overall this would be a great game for younger kids that can't handle a trickier, harder game. It is very much not difficult, and you will beat it in under an hour. But I had fun and it took my mind off things for a bit.
Fun little game. Not very challenging. Good for a little bit of shutdown before bed. Spent fifty cents on sale for a solid hour of gameplay, so was worth it.
Although I'm bot the biggest fan of platformers, I gotta say this one was fairly charming. Is it worth the $5? No, I personally paid around 50 cents, but for what I payed for I got an enjoyable game. Not too difficult, though I did die many times, I could see people that have more experience with these games completing it without dying. If you have a child or a family member that is rather young I could see this as being a good first platformer.
Das Spiel ist schrecklich laut ich würde mir lieber ein earrape an hören als die in game musik außerdem läd das Game 10 min und startet dann nicht mal außerdem kann mann das Spiel nicht mal im Full Screen stellen.
Ich würde das Spiel niemanden empfehlen der Spaß am spielen haben mochte.

Mekabolt is a cute little platformer / puzzle game where the goal is to reach the battery at the end of the level - that's it!
It's a nice relaxing time, and I was able to finish all the levels in about an hour. I'll likely come back to it again when and reply when I don't have much to do - I'm a sucker for this kind of art style and gameplay.

Короткая и приятная головоломка, которая доставит вам приятные эмоции. Враги, что кстати интересно - зачастую сами по себе часть головоломки. Остальное я доверяю проверить вам :) Правда, игра уж правда короткая, хех. Но если вы принимаете это то я рекомендую эту игру
It only took an hour to beat, but it gave me a 100% game and it cost 50 cent so why not.
Cute and short game with some very simple but fun gameplay. Can be completed in an hour. You go through four areas and jump/shoot your way to victory. Shots manipulate enemies and deactivate/activate them which is how you get around and solve levels. The graphic options are nonexistent and the controls on keyboard are a bit cramp-inducing, but other than that, it is a neat little easy game for a good price (on sale, at least). Good recommendation.
Just completed Mekalbolt in an hour Never exspected this to be so fun definitly worth a try if you like platformers.

O jogo nas imagens parecia que teria um pouco mais de puzzle, na verdade não é só um monte de salas com "pegadinhas" que os devs acharam engraçadas e colocaram no jogo, o pulo só tem um nível, não importa de se você encosta no botão ou o quebra com o martelo é o mesmo pulo, de maneira bem resumida: Esse jogo é um lixo

A simple and short puzzle platformer that is more than fine for the low price you can get it for during sales. Sure, you will be done with it in under an hour, but the game is enjoyable the whole time.
You can finish the game in one seat, not much of a challenge, but pretty entertaining.

- Pequeños problemas de interfaz: No es posible jugar a pantalla completa, falta un botón para salir del juego en el menú principal, etc.
Lo que más me llamó la atención del juego fue el diseño tan bonito y vivo que tiene. Cuando iba por la mitad del mismo, vi que tenia el 100% de logros (se desbloquean en los primeros dos mundos).
El juego en sí, dura una hora más o menos, aunque por el precio que tiene [i](y en temporadas de rebajas mucho más bajo)[/i], no se puede pedir mucho más.

The controls are a little clunky and the first zone is a little frustrating because of this. After you get past the first zone the game mechanics make it better. Would be nicer if the death respawns were instant.
I'm a bit torn on recommending this game. It's decently fun, but not particularly challenging, and it's incredibly short. I beat it in about 45 minutes.
un juego sencillo y divertido, pero su simpleza es un arma de doble filo, si bien es un muy buen mata tiempo fácil y cómodo de jugar, te deja la sensación de que podría ser algo que puedes jugar en un celular. El juego es un plataformero con elementos de puzzles, los controles son muy básicos, un botón para saltar y otro para disparar ademas de los comandos de movimiento, el juego es fácil de superar no significara mucho reto, si quieres algo casual búscalo en oferta.
