E' stata una delusione...

La storia:

La storia ha delle parti accettabili, soprattutto alcune vicende che ruotano attorno dei dilemmi morali che vengono gestiti tutto sommato bene. Ma per il resto, ha diversi buchi di trama, parecchie cose devi intuirle da solo e alcuni eventi chiave sono palesemente forzati (non faccio spoiler).

Il finale della storia è stato fatto palesemente di corsa ed è completamente insoddisfacente. Senza contare che introduce nuovi personaggi e nuove situazioni che spariscono nel nulla.

Uno dei villain principali (uno dei più odiosi oltretutto), muore in malomodo, ma apparentemente è esattamente quello che voleva, di conseguenza ha vinto lui e la cosa mi ha lasciato molto disgustato. Sia da come è successo, sia da come ci si è arrivati. Quel personaggio doveva morire, ma non così.

Diverse cose non hanno alcun senso e lo dico dopo essermi visto tutte le custscenes...

Il combattimento:

E' un classico. Nulla di innovativo. Ma ad un certo punto, anche con armi ed equipaggiameni leggendari e potenziati, ti ritrovi costretto ad usare i lanciarazzi, perché altrimenti non fai abbastanza danno o ti distruggono facilmente.

Le mosse non sono male, ma il fatto di dover passare alla visuale della cabina di comando per usarli ti rallenta.

Le armi sono tante, ma dopo un po' stancano perché ne hai tantissime ma sono in gran parte inutili. Così come le parti per i robot.

I robot:

Si nota molto l'influenza di LBX (Little Battlers eXperience) nel sistema di personalizzazione e nel sistema di gestione delle unità interne del robot. Ma c'è troppa roba, troppe cose da tenere sotto controllo, troppi numeri e statistiche. Diventa subito molto confusionario.

Alcuni design non sono male, ma per la maggior parte li ho trovati noiosi. Soprattutto perché per le proporzioni che hanno sembrano tutti dei gorilla giganti. Gli unici robot che mi sono piaciuti sono quelli che usano la forma leggera. I design sono decenti e le proporzioni hanno più senso.

Forma leggera e forma pesante:

Ma come sarebbe bello avere una versione "alleggerita" dello stesso robot, che ha quindi proporzioni migliori che lorendono più accattivante? Peccato che non esista nulla del genere.

Non esiste una forma leggera di nessuno dei robot esistenti. Gli unici 2/3 robot (in tutto il gioco) che usano la forma leggera li ottieni a fine gioco. E per fine, intendo proprio alla fine.

Collaborazioni:

Non capisco perché Goldrake / Grendizer e Voltus sono stati fatti in forma leggera, mentre Mazinga Z e il Getter usano quella classica. Vedere Mazinga Z e il Getter trasformati in gorilla giganti, con i braccioni e le gambette, è quanto di più inguardabile e deludente.

Traduzione italiana:

E se non siete delusi abbastanza, la traduzione italiana vacilla in diversi punti, dove all'improvviso appaiono linee di dialogo in spagnolo o francese.

I nomi delle armi dei robot provenienti dalla collaborazione, sono tutti sbagliati!

Alcuni esempi:
Il raggio termico di Mazinga Z lo hanno chiamato "Razzi fotonici";
Il pugno a razzo si chiama "Pungo atomico";
L'alabarda spaziale di Goldrake si chiama "Doppio Haken".

Quando l'ho visto non potevo crederci...

L'unica cosa positiva è che i vari piloti come Koji Kabuto e Actarus sono doppiati...

Conclusione:

Giocare a questo gioco è stato... difficile. Ma non per il gioco in sé, ma per la pesantezza della storia. L'ho voluto finire per vedere come andava a finire, ma dopo aver finito la storia l'ho disinstallato. Non avevo più voglia o motivo di giocarci.

Vorrei poterlo consigliare, ma il mio consiglio è di lasciar stare. Soprattutto se cercate una bella storia, ben curata e senza cose assurde e inspiegabili che succedono in modo forzato e insensato proprio a livello logico.

✅ Excelente loop de dopamina por recompensa
✅ Música sólida
✅ 100% doblado al japonés
✅ Customización de mechas extremadamente detallada
✅ Estilo visual sólido
✅ Sin bugs y bien optimizado

Contras:
⛔ Combate hack and slash simple y repetitivo

Recomendación:
Si estás buscando un buen juego de mechas con un fuerte énfasis en el grinding y la customización, este es tu juego.

This is a great game.

1st and 2nd half of the game the story is soo good.. until 3rd (El Zaid) then the story goes downhill... But it is not bad at all.

Combat is great until end game content. Its soo hard it just make u wanna scream. The bosses is even harder than dark soul. But mann the combat really make u feel like a boss.

The end game is harsh but fulfilling when completed.. this game is a blast! Hope more people played this game. Need more people playing this game online.

Btw the epic login... Just create an account and login.. it is annoying but once logged in it never request to relogin again. And epic always giveaway free games. Win win

Oh another thing played this game fully on steam deck.. no issue whatsoever. 60 fps buttery smooth. No setting to tweak at all

This is genuinely the worse game I have ever played. The difficulty is non-existent and the customization is purely superficial. Honest to god I spent more time holding down Y to skip dialog than I did actually playing the missions. This is a terrible visual novel disguised as an even worse action game.

I would want to have this be a "Middle" not a yes, not a no, but since I can't choose a "mid thumb", so it's a no.

Too Long, Won't Read:
Mech fighting gameplay is hack and slash, easy, non-challenging, arcadey. Customization is all right. Finetuning and skills is indepth and interesting. I think it's fun in a campy anime way. I like it when I'm not playing a tryhard game.

Overall story, graphics, art design, music, serviceable.

Particular dialogue, story gameplay/interaction/fetchquests, not fun, boring, cringe worthy, enough to make me stop playing and write a big review.

When it comes to the actual gameplay; fighting robot monsters, and finetuning your giant robot with different weapons, mods, the skill/leveling grid/system, pilot skills. That's all fine and dandy, in depth, a little overwhelming when you first look at it, that's fine. That's what I'm here for. There's even a bit of an annoying grind for RNG for drops of different quality, but it's good enough to keep you wanting more. The combat's straight forward and simple, mostly hack n slash, some shooting, they try to go in depth with crazy special moves, parrying, whatever. It's not really that crazy at all.

Aesthetically, to be honest, I don't really like any of the mech designs. I'm more of a Armored Core or Steel Battalion kind of aesthetic enjoyer, I'm not actually much into Gundam designs, or these. But the graphics and overall art design and music are all serviceable. Some of the music is actually pretty good.

Let's get to what's killing the game for me. The story gameplay. You got to run around town doing fetchquest dialogue stuff. The 2d/3d run around town gameplay is serviceable, somewhat unique looking, it's fine. I am intrigued in the overall story and premise. But some of the more personal stuff between characters is killing me. There's too many characters. I don't care anymore. I am here to fight giant monster machines to save humanity. The story makes me think of, if it was a 3 hour movie, could this have been cut down to 1.5 hrs? I understand the point of videogame stories is to make them interactable, but this is just me running to a place, watching a (skippable thank god) cutscene, and mashing the accept button to run to the next place to skip another cut scene if I get bored. I'm not trying to say artists can't do their thing, and I'm sure this game is just fine for some people.

An example of a mecha game with limited cut scenes and maximized fighting? Armored Core 6. You don't even see anyone between missions. You get a little exposition, sometimes you get yelled at in-mission, but you keep fighting and in your down time it's just for shopping and mech customization.

I had to put Megaton Musashi on pause to write this review because I feel like I'm now playing a dating simulator running around town with an alien girl warming her up to how great humanity is, watching movies with her, and it doesn't help there is a lot of "modern dialogue" further destroying immersion. Words like "Boomer" come up as an example and it's incredibly jarring since it's 100% a word that is very specific to a particular era of memeable culture, and not really something I could see being used in a strange scifi universe where 99.99% of humanity was killed overnight by alien invaders.

The game doesn't take itself too seriously, which can work, as it's incredibly exaggerated and bombastic, but there are also other words that are not translated appropriately. That's right; if you understand Japanese; all the characters are speaking Japanese. But the English subtitles are sometimes mostly on-par, and sometimes strangely incorrect, or blatantly incorrect.

I'm gonna post this dumb review, grab a lunch, and hope I can stomach through some more of the mostly cringe, but sometimes actually interesting story, and hope I can get back into a mission.

The story is a concentration of typical Japanese anime robot clichés. The combat system is nice, but the game is too easy. What's good is the robot management, with extensive customization options, not just aesthetic but also functional. It's a shame that such complex management would make sense if the game were challenging; for such an easy game, all the effort it takes to set up weapon mods and develop the motherboard makes little sense.
In the end, every time you go to the game's home screen, it asks you to connect to your Epic account... The only Epic thing that i see here, is the failure of this game.
