Remapping controls is essentially impossible. I was patient, I found the controller remapping menu in the launcher, and... start was still mapped to left stick press afterward, even though I remapped everything.
Watching the game on YouTube, I knew that finding the target lock button was important. So, I found the target lock button! It turns out that target locking only controls your camera. A target lock does not provide any aiming assistance for projectiles or dashing attacks or anything at all.
According to Steam, I've spent 20 minutes doing various kinds of troubleshooting and remapping and whatever just to try to make this game work for me. No thank you. This game is just a train wreck.
If a player who is patient and curious still can't figure out your game... just say no. Refunded.

Gameplay not what I expected but still unique fighting style and a different approach to the "Arena shoujo" games
Simple game. Should have sequal Magical Battle Arena NEXT and Magical Girl Vs. Fantasy World Magical Battle Arena NEXT but somehow it doesn't have STEAM version. The network is dead. In original japan version have LAN mode but in English doesnt have it. Overall still good game. Story also good.

In all seriousness, you can see the love poured into this game. It looks like it was Fly System's 2nd game after Elemental Battle Academy. From what I've gathered, this Doujin Circle eventually morphed into Area Zero and you can see the influence this game had on titles such as Magical Battle Arena and Valkyrie of Phantasm. And to no surprise each game has been better than the last! Really cool as a US resident having easy access to one of their older titles like this one on Steam. Now Playism should bring Elemental Battle Academy to Steam as well!

The controller mapping is broken if you use an XBOX controller. It doesn’t matter what buttons you set in the game menu, it won’t change the ‘default’ setting. This particular default setting the game uses is MISSING functionality you need to play the game! You cannot lock onto an enemy or use a special attack if you are using an XBOX controller. You’re forced to use a Playstation controller or the keyboard instead.
The in-game combat is brainless; most AI enemies you face can be destroyed if you simply spam X and then Y to win. There’s a tiny window of recovery after you’ve been attacked which they don’t use. So, you can knock them down and then just keep doing the same two attacks over and over. That is, until you come to the final bosses who are frustratingly annoying to fight, especially when they are at low health. They will lock onto you, blast attacks and won’t let you recover at all. When you try to attack them, even with a distance attack, they’ll have their shield up at the perfect moment most of the time.
In any case, the combat is boring, becomes monotonous quickly, and presents no challenge. There’s next to no strategy involved. In fact, the only time I had to use some form of ‘strategy’ was during boss fights, and that involved running from them and using distance attacks, then attacking close, then running away again... rinse and repeat.
The story is ridiculous and every conversation at the start of a battle is an information dump. Its as generic as generic gets, and I skipped most of the dialogue. The characters mouths don’t move when they talk; they may as well have placed mannequins in their place instead, that’s how stiff they look.
The game performs OK and the presentation is fairly good, that’s about it. Avoid this game at all costs otherwise.
So, developers?... What the ♥♥♥♥ where you thinking? What was your vision for the game, if you even had one? Plays like trash. Like a ♥♥♥♥ form of dragon ball z xenoverse..

Very poor controls, cannot lockon/track so you're kind of missing most of the time. Also alt-tabbing out of this game causes it to crash. Seems like a bad port overall, avoid.

Pour un conclure un jeu que je recommande pas , le gameplay est horrible , le scénario pas ouf , un jeu pour les weebs mais qui ne les respecte pas . Je ne recommande pas .

You guys are not fooling me. This is basically a Lyrical Nanoha game. Ion is Nanoha, Leafa is a hybrid between Fate and Noel from Blazblue, Raika is Hayate, Kirio is a hybrid between Yuuno and Erio, Aoi is Signum, and Iks=Piari is Caro.
Anyways, from what I've played so far, it's a fun and enjoyable blast! :) However, the controls are a bit clunky to say the least though.
Just a warning before you buy Magical Arena's successor game.
This game is still best to play with keyboard. Many, many people have difficulty and yet to figure out how to map the best keybinding controls onto a Xbox controller.

Ce jeu est bourré de bug, que ce soit le plein écran qui ne fonctionne pas, le tuto qui n’apprend rien (c’est quoi la touche pad 7 ?) et qui n’est pas assez approfondi.
Je passe sur le fait que les personnages me semblent être des stéréotypes car cella donne un charme au jeu (selon certains).
Et tout ça pour 10€ ? C’est trop pour moi. Je commence à croire que les jeux édités par Playism sont géniaux sur le papier, mais mal finalisé, pas entièrement fini, optimisé à la vas vite, bref, bâclés.

This is a third person arcade brawler where you control cutesy anime girls and fight hordes of cutesy enemies using various combo attacks and so on.
I'm sure the premise will appeal tremendously to weebs everywhere, but this game has no appeal for gamers anywhere. No 4K, HD support is the max, and that doesn't work properly (looks like a kind of 4:3 letter box, it's not 16:9). Controls are a complete nightmare. While this is the kind of game that should be played with a console peasant childrens toy gamepad, there's no proper support for those. But they did map my HOTAS as if it was a kids toypad, so my character was constantly turning to the left. No way to turn that off, so the game will be broken for many PC gamers. Being Japanese, the Engrish transration here is abysmal. Overall, this is a clunky trainwreck.
I don't know why so many games from Japan are of such poor technical quality. You'd think that it would be a matter of Japanese pride to have high quality games down to the smallest detail, but nope. This is pretty typical of this poor quality yet they're charging an unacceptable $10 USD for a fairly broken and unplayable game. Impossible to recommend.
dont get this if you using a xbox one controller its broken controls. must use a xbox 360 controllor or ps3 controllor for it to work better. keyboard controls are really bad. i had to refund it and didnt want to fight it to get things working

Es un juego estilo anime que mezcla varios elementos: fantasía, mundo apocalíptico, mágical girls, magia, etc. es un juego de pelea en si con una cantidad limitada de personaje a elegir, hombres, waifus y otras chicas que dejan mucho que desear; hay de todo y aquí va su análisis:
Puntos Positivos: La jugabilidad del juego es algo distinto al género de pelea, por el cual innova un poco lo que es esta clase de género que no tiene mucho que ofrecer. Por último, seria las waifus del juego, pues la mayoría me encantaron y creo que las waifus le da un pequeño plus a esta clase de juegos.
Puntos Negativos: Este juego por desgracia tiene muchas cosas negativas. Primero que el juego no está en español y por lo que veo nadie jamás lo traducirá (espero equivocarme algún día). Segundo la historia es aburrida y sin sentido (ya que está en inglés y no la entendí mucho que digamos), además de ser corta la historia. Tercero los controles son pésimos, por decir una mierda, pues los personajes tardan en reaccionar al comando dado, por el cual tardan en llegar la información y eso afecta tu partida. Cuarto la cámara es muy mala, a veces no se adapta al jugador y también influye negativamente la jugabilidad. Por último, el juego es escaso de contenido, pocos personajes, pocos escenarios, modos de juego no bien hecho y un online abandonado, no hay gente con quien jugar en línea.
En conclusión, se lleva un 4/10, no recomiendo este juego como ya mencionado en el análisis, a pesar de no ser un mal juego. no vale la pena comprarlo, pues no es un juego que te garantice diversión por muchas horas y además por todas sus fallas será más un dolor de cabeza que un mero entretenimiento. Si quieres comprarlo solo hazlo en rebajas, pero rebajas muy baja, pues su precio, aunque no es alto no lo vale a precio completo.
La única forma de divertirte con este juego es juntarse en 4 amigos, emborracharse, conectar el PC a una Smart TV, conectar 4 mandos y a jugar para sacarle unas risas, creo que ahí el juego es disfrutable.

Not a bad game at all beside some small mistake like a stage that lag with some camera angle during the cut scene and the HUD saying it's Ion who talk but not really, its fun but very hard at first...

Yaratıcı bir hikaye başlangıcı var fakat oynarken kötü kamera açıları aşırı zayıf grafikleri olan bu oyun heralde 8-12 yaş grubuna uygun olmakla beraber kesinlikle gamepad ile oynanmalı.
This game is so buggy I can't even get started on it, it lags during the narration with no way for me to skip it, and I literally have gotten stuck at the episode selection screen so I can't even play the game. Also not a fan of how options come up BEFORE the game starts, I'd rather have the options menu be a part of the title screen.
Controller customization doesn't work fully. The two triggers (Camera left and right, the 90's called they want their crappy camera controls on the ps1 back) and left stick pushed in (pause menu/ confirm) will always be assigned to specific things and cannot be changed even if you set them as something else on the loader.
So I don't recommend the game if you play with a controller.
Fun though. Dynasty Warriors dueling with anime waifu's and what looks to be a rock paper scissors mechanic.

This game is an arena style fighting game and its actually not half bad. Love the game and would recommend it to anyone that likes arena style fighting games mixed with hack and slash games.

I'll start with this, it is not that good of a game, there are way better magical girls games even on the PC such as: Most of the Touhou games, most of the Hyperdimension Neptunia games, Magical Battle Arena: Next, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (PSP), Madoka Magica (Dungeon Crawler for the PSP), Madoka Magica (hack & slash for the PS Vita, not that good actually but fun nonetheless if you like Madoka Magica and magical girls) and supposedly that Blue Reflection is also a magical girl game but i didn't play it yet so i can't say if it is any good, etc.. there are other games but i'll go on with the review now.
The reason it is not that good is because it is lacking, gameplay could be a bit better but otherwise content-wise it is lacking, the price for the game as of today is 10.99$ which isn't so bad but this game should be sold for about 5$.
And i would have prefer a game with more characters and more copyrights, more content and better gameplay for of course, a higher price (a game worth 20$ - 30$ would hav ebeen fine).
So in the end, it is not that bad if you wait for a sale (-80% 2.19$) but they should have made something bigger, a bigger project instead of a small project like this.
6.5/10 - You can't except something big at this price but the actual price should be 5$ instead of 10$ and it would still be great to have a bigger game with more characters, content and stuff, and a better gameplay.

Те кто ещё не купил её и читает это послание ОСТАНОВИТЕСЬ! Этот шлак не стоит и 20 рублей. Я сыграл минут 20 и да 20 а не 50 остальное были попытки начать игру и понять как начать её ДА! Управление мягко говоря ужасное. Но повторюсь за 20 минут я уже понял как победить любого противника не получив урона кликая 2 клавиши так как из атакующих лишь 1 кнопка. В общем чтобы описать этот треш скажу прямо игру явно делал жадный ученик на коленке во время контрольных. И я не пытаюсь задеть этим автора или назвать его школьником а наоборот в кратце поясняю его непосильно тяжёлый труд и да не знаю как у вас но у меня "игра" запускается только в окне примерно 800/600 если не меньше судя по графе.

이 게임을 하면서 예전에 하다가 중간에 그만둔 '아키바스 트립'이란 게임이 생가났다.. 어떻게 이렇게 조작감이 안좋을 수 있는지..
박진감 넘치고 속도감도 좋은데, 캐릭터 조작이 너무 안좋다.. 어떤의미로 안좋냐하면 반응이 너무 느리거나 없다..필자는 패드로 했는데, 공격버튼을 누르면 반응이 너무 늦게 왔다.. 심지어 패드로는 할당된 키가 없는 경우도 있다..(엑원 패드 기준)

COMPRALO PERCHE:
-Oggettivamente non mi viene in mente nulla se non il doppiaggio Giapponese e la buona tracklist musicale condita da una realizzazione più che discreta della Main Theme;
LASCIALO A STEAM PERCHE:
-Graficamente penso che gli screen dicano davvero tutto, va bene la natura indie però qui siamo a livello PS2....si poteva fare decisamente meglio visto anche la Release datata 2014 su Steam.
Anche a livello artistico non risulta essere poi così ispirato visto che quasi ogni personaggio emana quel senso di già visto in altre opere (chi più, chi meno). Aggiungo che non capisco come mai alcune CutScene vadano a 15FPS (soprattutto quelle delle fasi finali della Main Story)
-Ludicamente parlando il titolo è un disastro, si presenta come un picchiadura 3D (tirato un pò per i capelli) ma a parte la varietà di mosse si avrà a che fare con un IA scadente, un sistema di lockon allucinante e legato soltanto alla telecamera, cooldown di mosse nosense, impossibilità di interrompere attacchi contaneti e poi, l'unica cosa carina che aggiunge rispetto ad un Naruto UNS qualsiasi son i Minion che, oltre a confondere ancora di più il giocatore su dove sia il nemico, inceppano anche la propria visuale non consentendo al giocatore di capire davero più nulla dell'azione di gioco.
Le modalità sono le classiche, vi è anche una componente online che non ho per niente esplorato visto il pessimo feeling pad/tastiera alla mano che emana il titolo (chissa chi avrà mappato di default i tasti....allucinanti!)
-La Storia non è neanche così male rispetto allo standard del titolo anche se il colpo di scena risulta telefonato ed i personaggi son decisamente troppo stereotipati e decisamente poco memorabili (la protagonista viene ad odio dopo 4, e dico 4, scambi di battute con i personaggi, davvero pessima anche lei)
-Son riuscito a farci quasi 3 ore tirate proprio per i capelli, gioco disastroso e che difficilmente, visto il suo Gameplay, terra il giocatore più di tanto incollato allo schermo
Un gioco pessimo, che non consiglio onestamente a nessuno...ci son porti con personaggi animati decisamente, ma proprio DECISAMENTE, migliori.

Любопытная система боя , советую пройти обучение . Главный ингридиент - мелкие роботы , которые являются вашими юнитами и которыми вполне можно пользоваться в бою . Я раньше в файтинги на три дэ аренах не играл , в принципе зашло . Ожидал геймплейно скучную и худшую тягомотину .
Модельки - ппц . Анимация моделек - ППЦ ВТРОЙНЕ . Сонька первая , где то такой уровень . Но анимация треш полный . Модельки терпимо . Но движения девочек и мальчиков из анимца в заставках вообще за гранью .
Сюжет - треш . Поeбoта про победу любви над жестокостью . Сладкая , приторная ересь . Главная злодейка норм , но она проиграла . Если вы разумный человек , лучше перематывайте заставки . Идея о том , что согласованность и объединение людей это хорошо хоть в чём то , создана дегенератами для дегенератов . Совершенно абсурдная идея о близости слепых болванов , как будто из сближения душ , половых органов или сознаний может возродиться что либо кроме гovнa .

Runs like garbage on an Atom z8700. Yes I know Atoms are terrible, but it should still meet the minimum spec. No matter how low I set the setiings the game runs at the exact same terrible framerate. This shows that the game is poorly optimized. I've run games that are more demanding than this better.
Also, the load times are stupidly long.
Great little 3d fighting game that’s pretty simple, but not beginner friendly. It is very anime, like it or not.
It looks like the nanoha game you've always wanted, sadly it's not.
The game is an average fighting game with some interesting mechanics, and an admittedly wonderful art style, but the gameplay is simply not engaging enough for me to recommend this game.

The game is pretty fun I think. :) you may need to adjust your configure settings a bit in the main menu before playing depending on your laptop \ pc. the game was super laggy at first so I had to adjust my settings around which seemed to fix it really well. :) Overall it's a pretty nice game. The graphics and voice acting is well done and the music is catchy :) This game isn't for everyone but I'd say give it a chance if your curious

TLDR: Anime girl tactical combat with stiff cameras, clunky cooldown powers and chaotic confused action with an arguably stupid artificial intelligence and odd encounter flow.
I would recommend you just play Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash. You get a few abilities, and you can customize with the card loadout.
In comparison Magical Battle Festa offers to let you enter in formations what hijack your control inputs with your teammate for added firepower. You can go from mellee to ranged modes. But the ranged attacks are not simple aim and point and have this odd shoot forward only restriction. There were landmines all over and the characters were all yelling and talking over each other with their pre-recorded voices. It all became an undecipherable mess very quickly.
The game plays fairly alright in terms of framerates, but the PC menus seem akwardly introduced and presented to the player, and it would seem that this is some sort of a port from somewhere. Maybe it is possible to grow accustomed to the odd blend of remote control inputs and tactical mechanics along with the messy action flow but as far as I am concerned I will simply label this as outcompeted and keep an eye out for better iterations in the same genre as there is potential in the concept.

nella storia ci troviamo all'interno della loro accademia, precisamente al momento degli esami degli ultimi giovani ragazzi giunti nel corpo
qui avrà luogo un'incredibile storia che metterà alla luce degli eventi che la massa ignora, questo perché gli studenti, saranno costretti nello scontrarsi con degli strani personaggi che intendono intralciarli di cui a capo c'è la perfida e glaciale Mersa che ha davvero delle brutte intenzioni
una trama piuttosto banale e scontata non c'è che dire, ma è comunque molto importante ai fini del gioco dato che tutto il suo svolgersi, ruota attorno ai dialoghi fra i protagonisti, i loro scontri amichevoli e non, ed il conseguirsi delle loro relazioni
ma disponiamo comunque di una protagonista, ovvero Ion, una giovane ragazza estremamente promettente che all'interno del gioco, sarà sotto la luce dei riflettori assai maggiormente rispetto agli altri personaggi
completare una missione, comporta lo sbloccarne altre, potremo in questo modo impersonificare tutti i dodici personaggi della storia, compresi i malintenzionati, in questo modo completando tutte le missioni disponibili, potremo arricchirci totalmente di tutti i dettagli della trama
completare totalmente la trama di un character, comporta lo sbloccare una serie di opzioni aggiuntive che potremo utilizzare all'interno del gioco stesso
il gioco va affrontato come un vero e proprio picchiaduro tridimensionale, in cui però avremo totale libertà di movimento all'interno delle arene, in cui non dovremo infatti mai affrontare più di un avversario per volta
nei combattimenti potremo optare per un grande numero di azioni di lotta, quali attacchi fisici e magie, potremo schivare e parare ed utilizzare, dei potentissimi attacchi speciali
il tutto in una marea di colori magici, è uno spettacolo superbo da osservare
potremo optare di potenziare il nostro character, grazie alle skill che avremo ottenuto finendo il gioco con i vari personaggi a nostra disposizione per un massimo di cinque per volta
per finire in bellezza, potremo contare nul nostro piccolo esercito di robot in maniatura, che ci seguiranno passo dopo passo nel corso della battaglia ed a cui, potremo ordinare una formazione ben precisa, in base alla quale potremo usufruire da loro di svariati diversi tipi di aiuti
parlando di qualità il titolo è davvero valido, dotato di un'interfaccia solida e di un ottimo motore grafico, i combattimenti vanno affrontati in maniera tecnica e di certo non superficiale, da notare che i vari protagonisti, risultano essere assai differenti fra loro, in maniera tale che non risulti mai essere la stessa cosa utilizzare due characters differenti
il gioco dispone anche di una modalità online che io però non ho utilizzato, in cui potremo fronteggiare altri avversari umani
i difetti li ha comunque, i modelli poligonali dei personaggi mi sembrano realizzati in una maniera un pò rozza, i comandi di gioco non sono perfetti oltretutto ed in certi casi, un pò troppo duri e rigidi
nel globale comunque, me la sento assolutamente di consigliarlo, è un prodotto che ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative e donato divertimento per molte ore di gioco

什么破游戏，既然是个动作游戏至少有个按键技能说明啊，连个教程都没有，开场就打打打，制作游戏的人脑子是不是有问题。
配音的质量就不提了，技能的配音居然也僵硬，每按一次技能就说一次，跟个智障一样。
第一关玩了一半玩不下去了，看简介以为是和闪乱神乐一样的美少女割草游戏，进去才知道是披着割草外皮的格斗游戏。
个人讨厌格斗游戏，但游戏的标签没有格斗，真不知道开发游戏的人怎么想的。
再说一下战斗的系统问题，战斗里居然没闪避！没闪避！没闪避！
可是被打的前后摇偏偏还死长，结果就是你眼睁睁看着你被电脑慢悠悠的连招，按什么按键都没用，跟个死人一样挨打，被打完老半天才能动。
这是个动作游戏吗？！
想做动作游戏就把战斗系统做完善一点，想做割草游戏就把电脑AI难度降低一点。
对于我这种就想看个剧情的，就想看看妹子，至少主角的人物建模精细一点，配音的CV配好一点，怪好打一点就行了嘛，这要求高吗？很难吗？开发的人在想什么？！战斗系统残缺，人物建模粗糙，技能配音生硬，AI还难打，最要命的是没教程，进去就被电脑虐，你觉得我凭什么要玩这个游戏？
Um jogo muito bom ! com conquistas bem elaboradas como "no loli no life" e com uma jogabilidade simples de pegar Obs:se n tiver um controle mesmo que um generico e melhor n comprar esse jogo,que no teclado e orivel,e você que tem aquele Pc da xuxa que nem eu não se preoucupe que vai rodar e claro no minimo e com a resolução baixa mesmo assim não tinha a experiência do jogo que ainda assim continua muito boa e bom esperar uma promoção daquelas onde o jogo fica 6 reais e um pouquinho ou se você tiver condições compra pelo preço normal mesmo que vale apena de qualquer forma.
