Has and they are adding previous stories from the older mobile game that was shut down "Magia Record", while making previous limited characters into regular characters that can be pulled in the "standard banner". While the resources for gems is scarce they are improving the amount you gain. You can acquire "keys" to get more pulls for standard banners.
As for graphics the models themselves look great and they even added a "photo mode" so you can take pictures of the magical girls in the outfits they have available.
If you're a fan of PMMM, Magia Record, and any of the side stories like Oriko Magica then I recommend this for you.
音楽はいいし、やっぱりまどまぎはいいなぁと思ったんですが、チュートリアルが長すぎる。
チュートリアルが長いとか色々覚えることがあるのはいいんだけど、強制的に「ここを押せ！」タイプのチュートリアルだから途中で設定をいじることすらできないのは2025年に出たゲームなのか？？？と思わされる。
あと一気に説明されても感覚でしか覚えてないんだから、チュートリアルのかわりに右上でも左上でもいいから『簡易説明書』的なの準備していつでも見れるようにしておけばいいんじゃね？と思ってしまう。
久しぶりに初代まどまぎのストーリーも見れて、前回のソシャゲ？のストーリー（自分は序盤しかやらずにやめてしまった）ところのストーリーも見れるし、ストーリー追っかけるゲームとして結構よくて、ゲーム部分ずっとオートにしてストーリー見てる。ガチャで限界突破とか１ｍｍも目指す気ない人にとってストーリー見るだけならだいぶ良いんじゃないかと思う。ＢＧＭもいいし。

This game is pretty similar to Honkai Star Rail, so if you're into that this game could be for you. At the time of writing this review (3/26/26) the 1st Anniversary event is happening. Because of this event there is a decent amount of free rewards that can be claimed with little time investment. So I recommend playing while this event or at least logging in daily to claim some free rewards.

PMMM is such a good anime, i like magic
do you like Madoka? great, okay, but do you like massive gaps of time without content and monthly updates containing maybe an hour's worth of content at best? do you have a lot of funny money to make sure you get every character you want multiple times?
if you answered "no" to any of these, don't even bother installing. the oversaturation of limited characters and lack of ANY way to make sure you get any specific general character you're missing makes this one of the worst gachas I have ever played. if you don't have a massive, open wallet, you'll be struggling with content for a long time
the only active content the game has at all times would be raids (which you can only do a certain number of every day,) PVP (which you can't manually do whatsoever,) and farming crystalis (boring, tedious task to get upgrades for your characters that might not even make them actually useful anywhere.) I have never been more bored waiting for a game to have gameplay than the year I've spent playing this game

As a big Madoka fan, this game is really good for a gacha game! (which I've always avoided with the exceptions of this one and its predecessor, Magia Record).
Overall, though the game does have its flaws (gacha system, repetitive content or needing to grind or invest relatively high amounts of time for endgame content), it is overall good with a fun gameplay that is in my opinion way better than Magia Record's, and especially, the biggest point about this game, being able to experience all of the Madoka related stories and content, both old, new, and even previously Japanese-exclusive content, now officially translated to English, is probably the best of blessings I could've ever hoped for as a Madoka fan.
I hope this game will stay with us for many years to come, as the biggest recollection of all Madoka content into one place!

Fun game with incredibly beautiful visuals when put high. The models are very pretty, too. It is, however, also very hard to get gems without story mode, which can make the game much less fun. The combat can also get boring after a while. It has some very fun side-events and I would say worth at least a little time, since it is free and can actually be fun.
WAY too many young teenage girls with their underwear out?? I like being able to revisit the story and I loved the original anime but I can't handle that. Especially since it's so uncalled for.

in all honesty, whenever a friend of mine asks me if i would recommend this game to them, i flat out say no. i am a die hard, and i mean die hard fan of the madoka magica franchise as a whole, including all the spinoffs, i have been for upwards of a decade now, but i can not in good faith recommend this game to anybody simply because of one thing;
the gacha system, oh my god is it the worst thing ever invented. i play a variety of gacha games and i can say that exedra has the WORST rates out of any gacha ive played / heard of. to get a limited character you need to either grind your butt off or give the devs an egregious amount of money, upwards of $300 usd if you want to get the limited character and avoid FOMO. or you can get super lucky, but with a below single digit percent rate it feels near impossible. im all for supporting game developers but having to repeatedly spend this much money on limited characters or count on luck to avoid FOMO is ridiculous.
terrible gacha aside, the gameplay itself is just meh, once you get through the main chunk of the game (skipping all the story because you've read it all already and they haven't added anything new and original to the game outside of events), it gets super repetitive. it's basically just auto play simulator. the pvp aspect isn't even exciting and the unions feel so bland, they're supposed to help build community but it hasn't even been designed in a way to properly do so.
i know this game has a lot of time ahead of it to improve on aspects that so much of the playerbase complain about, but i honestly don't know if they ever will. hopefully with the upcoming 1st anniversary we can receive some gratitude from the developers but from seeing their posts it feels like it will be quite lackluster.
i still love this franchise dearly so i will still play this game until the servers eventually close, but unless you're a diehard magia fan like i am, do not play this. if you're new to the madoka magica franchise and want to explore it as a whole, just watch the shows and movies and read the spinoff mangas, please do not waste your time on this game T_T

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is my favorite anime of all time. However, the series has declined ever since the Rebellion movie, and this game is a perfect showcase of that. A legendary anime that set itself apart as a deconstruction of the oversaturated magical girl genre, is now the very thing it set out to deconstruct.
Idk why PMMM games are always so bad, the only half-decent one was the PSP game, but this series should be easy to make into a good game, just play as the magical girls, fight witches, and feel despair, this isn't rocket science lol.
But of course, since Madoka is popular we had to turn it into a trashy gacha game with the most boring turn-based RPG combat you've ever seen and lame visual novel cutscenes that I just skip through because I don't care to see the anime's story rehashed for the 1000th time as a VN. I don't mind visual novels with gacha elements, I love Disney's Twisted Wonderland for instance, but this format just does not work for a series like Madoka Magica.
You can't move through the witches' barriers on your own, it just auto-walks you through predetermined paths, which is pointless and only eats up more of your time when each dungeon is over an hour long. The same battles over and over again, you can even turn on auto-mode so the game plays itself...sounds like fun, right? It's brutally difficult and a relentless grindfest, so you won't get far even with a full team of 5 star magical girls unless you waste hours of your life grinding. The gameplay is just so tedious that you don't even care about the magical girls' backstories or whatever weird plot is going on in the background with the green Kyubey, I could honestly care less.
To be fair, it's not all bad, the graphics are great, the visuals are quite impressive, I love the large selection of magical girls you could theoretically play as if you gambled for them enough, the music is excellent, and I love how it gives us proper experiences with witches that either only got cameos in the anime or never appeared at all, such as Suleika and Albertine. There was so much potential here, but all the effort was focused on the gacha. If this had just been made as a normal game, it could have been great, but sadly the devs instead decided to prey on gambling addictions.
Overall, it's just sad to see my favorite anime of all time reduced to corporate gacha slop to rake in the cash from fans who just wanted to enjoy one of the only Madoka Magica games that is available to play outside of Japan. It could have been a good game- if it was anything other than a soulless gacha game.

Do not get this game. I'm only playing it because my partner likes to play it and she wants to play it with me.
I'm already not a gacha fan, so I'm biased, but a single pull is 3,000 gems of ingame currency.
You can buy 10,000 gems for $60.
You get 3 pulls for $60 max. The pull rates for the presumed 5 star characters you want are somewhere under a percent, even in their own dedicated FOMO draw times.
Do not give this game money.
If you're considering grinding the game out for free, you can automate some battles, but each successful battle win gives you 10 gems. FAR later in the game, you can get 30 gems per battle. That's still 100 battles at the highest pay rate for you to pull a SINGLE time.
If you want a guaranteed "pity" draw of your character where you can just buy them with a token from the in game shop, you need to draw 20 times.
So, mathematically, you need 60,000 gems. If you bought those gems for a SINGLE guaranteed character, that would roughly cost you $360. If you were buying the gems on sale.

Tried to power through switching to the pc version after mobile. This game just isn't good and a real disappointment for gameplay. I'm compelled to read all the side material it portrays because it's done better and the lack of voice acting for everything but the main campaign is a real drag when the Magia Record game had full voice acting for their campaign. It also rushes and misses a lot from the source material that makes you lose out on the experience. Honestly it just makes me miss magia record because it was more fun to play because it didn't feel like playing nothing but poorly done reruns. However if you want a light recap on all the madoka material this game is for you.

It's a fun, turn-based battle rpg, especially for PMMM fans but not only! However as a long-time fan I was slacking with the main story as It's literally the show but in a nutshell in the form of L2D stories.
The 3D graphics look stunning on PC so I defo recommend checking it out even if you played before on mobile (which I did)
There's also no problem with transferring your data over to another device. You can't be logged on more than one simultaneously, but there are no issues with transferring back and forth as on the second device while opening the game you'll just get a pop-up stating (paraphrasing) "There's been progress made on this account using another device. Do you want to proceed using the current device?" and you just need to click "OK" which is super convenient as you don't need to generate countless transfer codes and input them manually.
When this game released, I was very excited as I adored Magia Record when that game existed. However, this game falls very flat… At the time of this review, Madoka and Mami have 5 alternate units while it took about a year for Nagisa to even be added. Most of the current campaign is just a retelling of previous stories, (Rebellion, the Madoka anime itself, part of Magia Record) so if you have any experience with the series prior to this game, you might get bored, and if you are new, this might be the worst possible way to experience the original story.
Some of the character models are pretty, and Oriko Magica fans are eating well but… I can’t in good faith recommend this game to anyone.

WARNING!!! SOME CHARACTERS THAT ARE CHILDREN HAVE PRETTY INAPPROPRIATE DESIGNS!!! like, some of them literally just have their underwear out, no pants or skirt or anything. Besides that, the game itself is just a honkai starrail ripoff with random characters that arent even a part of the series. I'm only going to play for the story, because its the only thing worthwhile in this game. i played this game on my phone, and the gacha is completely unforgiving. like i said earlier, the gameplay is just honkai starrail but repackaged with a madoka magica theme. unless youre a huge madoka magica fan like me, i dont recommend this game. go play starrail instead.

I will write a better review but right now is the best time to play. You can experience the Rebellion story through the format of a game with your favorite characters. We will probably never have anything like this again.

A quick heads up: This review will be put in the perspective of someone who has played the mobile version first, so some comparisons will be addressed.
Ah Madoka Magica, one of those franchises that I’ve heard of, but don’t have much experience with. Because as of the writing of this review, I have yet to watch the anime (but I have watched a review of it) and prior to playing this game, I’ve never played any of the other games that are from this franchise, even though I have my reasons since most of the games were only out in Japan and the Magia Record game wasn’t released in my region. So when I stumbled across this game on the app store, this finally gave me the opportunity to not only be able to play a game from this franchise that’s actually available in my region, but to also gain a better understanding of the anime’s story and characters. And yes, I know that this isn’t the best way to first experience the anime, but hey, it’s better than nothing.
Starting with the positives, the first praise that I have with the game is that there are loads of memory portraits to unlock by completing the campaign mode or by playing any of the on-going events. Additionally, there are also loads of playable characters that you can unlock via a gacha system, which I know that not everybody likes, but the game has a reasonable amount of five star rarity characters to get as well as a few limited time release characters that you can get as well, which can be a good thing for any completionists out there who wants to get their hands on every character that’s available and can also be able to extend replayability because new characters get added pretty regularly. This second praise that I want to address is the performance, cause man, this game runs so much better on PC than on mobile thanks to the default performance setting being at 60FPS. Now, I’m not saying that the mobile version ran poorly or anything, but the differences in the game’s performance and framerate between both versions is literally night and day when you compare the two of them side by side. This final praise that I want to address may be basic, but it can be useful information. On the title screen and in the settings menu, there is a little option called Stream Mode, which will allow either some or all of the copyrighted music to be muted since this game reuses music tracks that were used in the anime and in the movies, so this little feature can be very useful depending on the situation and the reason why I praise this mode is that you don’t see this sort of feature very often in other games out there that includes the usage of copyrighted music.
As for the negatives that I have with this game, let’s start with the game’s tutorial. Because not only is it quite lengthy, but the game has a tendency to repeat the same topics more than once, which can get annoying. Like, yes game, I know how elemental attack advantages work as well as how to activate specials, you don’t need to remind me! This second critique is probably just coming from me cause I played the mobile version first and it may also sound like a minor gripe, but I feel like the UI icons are a bit too big in scale compared to how they’re presented on the mobile version. I know that this is most likely because I was initially used to seeing the game on a smaller screen and I am aware that it’s just one of those things that’ll take some getting used to, but I thought I’d point it out anyways. The final critique that I want to address is that the on-screen keyboard controls that appear on the bottom of the screen can be visually distracting, especially during the cutscenes where you can’t turn them off that will cause the bottom of the screen to be taken over by the dialogue and the previously mentioned keyboard controls.
For my recommendations, if you’re a fan of either RPGs or the franchise as a whole, then you’ll like this game. Plus, it’s free on Steam as well. In terms of which version of the game I would suggest between the mobile or PC versions, I would stick with the latter option for a much smoother experience in terms of the performance as well as not having to worry too much about storage space since the mobile version takes up a heavy amount of it. However, I do have a negative recommendation for this game, and that’s for fans of the franchise who are expecting this game to have loads of original content, because the campaign mode in particular simply recites the story of the anime as well as a couple of the spinoff instalments. So if this negative recommendation does apply to you, then this game can be underwhelming and might be worth skipping.

Empece a jugar el 26/3/2025, me vicie muchisimo al punto de terminar top 5 en pvp en la S1, segui jugando durante 2 meses, al llegar a 56k de poder de equipo me aburri y lo deje durante 9 meses, hace unos dias volvi, pase la cuenta del movil al pc y decidi platinar el juego, de sorpresa vi que el meta seguia casi igual que cuando lo deje (hay un discord bastante activo y un excel actualizado con todo tipo de tips para todos los bosses y eventos), asi que despues de 5 dias de alto farmeo estoy poniendome al dia.
No es P2W, no le meti ni 1€.
Para platinar son 2-4 meses, depende el farmeo que le deis, a mi me queda 1 logro.

转日服初始号入坑，我对这个IP有着再大的热情也无法掩盖这是游戏就是一坨屎。和星穹铁道一模一样的速度回合制，强卡/限定连发 去年圣诞特别明显，同时日常福利少，攒井周期长，虽然送的抽多但也就是歪点老卡，比同是飞机社下的隔壁红烧天堂还恶心，这边卡没有通用碎片来突破，只能靠抽重复的，同时多数辅助卡都有4破回SP的能力，可以说高破在玩法上就跟平民差了不是一点半点，然后200井 只有50和100发两个量表会给必得5星；开服一年不到已经把圆神焰魔两张大的卡出完了，像光速圈一波跑路的，主线基本无原创全是搬的老剧情，模型直接用的魔法纪录的，后面甚至有些剧情直接没有配音；体力上限特别少回的还快，基本5小时回满 想不浪费睡觉都睡不好，同时碎体力石甚至也有每日上限，我号上500个体力石只能每天8个这么碎，晶花系统也是扫码的，就是圣遗物那一套，然后每个角色有一个专属的EX晶花 爆率特别低，同时这种副本还不能扫荡，想刷的效率高要跳过券，跳过券基本就是周常和活动商店买的了，给的也不多，纯纯浪费时间，同时还不能直接替换晶花，想替换你老的晶花就必须销毁；这游戏也有支援位这种设定，挂个人当背后灵给技能和白值那种，但是支援技能升级在角色成长的很后半段，也就是说想要享受高等级的支援技能必须投入大量的成长材料，同时还有一部分材料只能通过活动商店或主线一次性获得特别少的量，也就是说成长材料给的少花的多，真的折磨，总结为不是M别玩
I will start this review by stating that I am a BIG fan of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and HIGHLY recommend you watch the anime/movies, they are phenomenal. This game, however... well, its disappointing. I'll admit I'm only playing it 1. because I like Madoka Magica, and 2. I want to see how bad a typical gacha game is.
I'll start with a positive: Art direction is pretty good. Music slaps, 3D models look great*, as does the rest of the game.
With that being said, here's why this game... isn't great.
1. Character Design. There are problems with some of the character designs. Some of them have... less clothing than is ideal for characters who canonically are adolescent girls, but you almost always have viable units that aren't like that. Jiggle physics are also present, but definitely not prominent.
2. Gacha system. The gacha system is EGREGIOUS. Most sources of the gacha currency in the game will give you a meager 10. In comparison, 300 is required for ONE pull. Other aspects of the game are very predatory as well.
3. Story. There's nothing wrong with the story itself, but it is, at least in my experience, a retelling of the entire anime, but faaaaaar slower. At the time of writing this review, I am about 5 hours in. To map the plot onto the anime, I would be at episode 2 out of 12. It's going to take me 30 hours to get through the same story content as a 4-hour anime.
4. Gameplay. I will say that I personally find the battle system fun at this point in time, but I heavily doubt that it will remain fun, and other reviews complain about it too. Additionally, the battles progress at a snail's pace: you fight about 15 stages of familiars (filler battles) before you fight one witch (boss), and there are no minibosses in between. It's gonna get stale once the novelty of your attack animations wear off.
I'm certain there are other reasons I'm forgetting right now, but this should be enough to give you an idea of what goes on in the game.
I'm going to continue to play because I am hopelessly Madokarotted. If you are considering trying this game out, I discourage it unless you are like me in that regard.

Gioco all'inizio godibile, ma alla lunga escono fuori tutti i suoi ENORMI problemi:
1. Ricompense veramente MISERE, solo dalla storia qualche gemma, ma sono veramente poche rispetto al costo delle chiavi per avere le maghe;
2. costo delle maghe veramente TROPPO ALTO, e non te le scegli nemmeno;
3. rate maghe BASSISSIMO!
4. MALEDETTAMENTE SCRIPTATO! Per MESI ho sofferto perché avevo un account che non mi faceva uscire una maga nemmeno spendendo quasi 60.000 gemme (avete capito bene), cioè arrivando quasi al "garantito" (perché ogni pull ti dà dei punti, appena arrivi a 200 punti, che equivalgono a 60.000 gemme, allora puoi comprarti UNA COPIA di quel personaggio), questo "garantito" però c'è SOLO sui banner, non nelle pull normali! Quindi o hai le gemme appena mettono una maga nuova e pulli su di lei o "ti fai in quel posto" perché quando finisce il banner non hai più il garantito. Per non parlare delle limited, che hanno il rate ancora più basso, praticamente inesistente! Eppure da quando ho cambiato l'account (non so quante volte ho dovuto cambiare l'account per trovare quello con il rate più alto, almeno una trentina di volte) ora sui banner delle LIMITED arrivo quasi sempre al garantito (dovendo shoppare) ascendendole già a 2 o addirittura a 3, molti limited mi sono usciti alle primissime pull, inoltre ho constatato con altri 3 miei amici con cui gioco che se ad uno di noi esce una maga specifica molto probabilmente uscirà poco dopo anche agli altri quella stessa identica maga! è successo per quasi tutte le maghe (senza contare però le limited ovviamente, che a me escono molto più frequentemente di loro perché ho un account con un rate molto più alto, e senza contare la quantità di ascensioni);
5. non c'è nemmeno il 5 stelle garantito ogni tot apertura, come c'è invece nella maggior parte dei giochi;
6. se prendete i pass, non è detto che vi diano le ricompense, io ho dovuto contattare l'assistenza perché il mazzo di chiavi nere e i 10 frammenti di chiave d'oro non me li avevano dati! E hanno avuto anche da ridire! Non volevano darmeli, ma FORTUNAMENTE mi sono MAGICAMENTE arrivate con non so quanti giorni di ritardo.
7. assistenza PESSIMA! Rispondono solo a quello che gli conviene, fingendo di non aver letto quello che gli avete scritto, e rispondono quando gli va, facendovi perdere giorni preziosi per voi, cosicché se doveste avete problemi con le ricompense di un pass, voi perderete AUTOMATICAMENTE il diritto a riceverlo perché l'assistenza ha risposto VOLONTARIAMENTE in ritardo!
8. Inoltre rubano i vostri soldi perché non avvisano da NESSUNA PARTE (ho letto dappertutto e non c'è scritto!) che se fai anche solo 3 giorni di ritardo per comprare un pass (restando nel mese corretto) perdi automaticamente il bonus raddoppiato (inoltre so per certo che sia solo una scusa, dato che ho preso il pass per più mesi consecutivamente SEMPRE in questo modo perché, una volta annullato il rinnovo automatico del pass avete ancora attivo il pass attuale, e il gioco NON vi darà la possibilità di riacquistarlo finché non termina il pass attuale, infatti ogni volta ho dovuto aspettare che terminasse per ricomprarlo, quindi l'ho sempre preso con qualche giorno di ritardo ma solo questo mese hanno deciso di annullarmi il bonus raddoppiato) perché per loro hanno importanza SOLO le persone che si abbonano, quindi coloro che prendono il pass ogni singolo mese manualmente, annullando di volta in volta il pass, SENZA PERò SALTARE IL MESE, non hanno diritto alle ricompense doppie che danno prendendo i pass consecutivamente.
Puntano SOLO a farvi abbonare, altrimenti non avete diritto a NULLA. Trovano ogni scusa più sciocca pur di non darvi le ricompense che vi spettano di diritto. Sono solo degli avidi schifosi, non dategli i vostri soldi perché vi stanno solo derubando. Questo gioco NON VALE I VOSTRI SOLDI!

非洲人不適合這個游戲。開服玩到現在的我每次本期up的角色池抽了不來結果來了個上個up角色池。
限定角色池tmd，出了很多金都是歪的角色。浪費時間在肝。

Animations and 3D style is amazing and gripping with the stories.
Homura is hot indeed!
very grindy game, but if you grind it too long you run out of content or hit a wall where you are no longer able to level up a character within a reasonable time to help a boss or just straight up can not beat a boss NOT free to play friendly.
event rewards are very poor as well.
It's Madoka. Do you really need any other reason?
