Reviewing this in 2026, I don't even know if there's any point in reviewing a game that'll soon shutdown but it was very fun, I don't have much of a basis on this game since my first American Football game would me Madden 19 on the Playstation 4.
Being an offline player, I avoid the online content- so I can't give much opinion on that.
Other than that, I do believe it plays, feels, and runs pretty well.
I didn't get any issues upon opening it, nor do I get any sort of lags, stutters or framedrops, the game runs well.
I believe the only issues that I have with this is with the controller, Steam Input absolutely screws up everything up and trying to play via Remote Play is a task more difficult than piloting an airship; but turning that off or playing locally seems to be pretty alright.
Upon opening the game, some sounds were crackling, which I assume was a driver issue so I can't hold that too much on EA.
Other than, I genuinely think it was pretty fine from my perspective, I don't have much of a basis to go off of and it plays like how I would expect it to, it's super fun, AI feels pretty fair, the game is pretty immersive, animations are pretty good.
At the very least, it feels like a decent game for me.
Really poorly optimized and Javelin (compulsory anti-cheat software) is the devil. I don't care about multiplayer or online play and it won't start while other software (that I actually like) is running.

It's like you're literally in the NFL
Not the greatest fan. more of a love hate relationship. Set up game setup everything manual.. Game still reorganizes depth chart. Cuts players on its own and players still disappear after being cut.So far every career i cant sign my fav receiver because the game cuts them.. worse thing.. roughing the kicker.the worse? 12 penalties best 3. every..fricking..game franchise mode really cant be played unless i put my kids in prevent mode..some kickoffs the returners run backwards .. qbs do it too. usually twice a game

Thought I do say yes, I do think that there are many flaws in this game. I have not played the older Maddens before, this was my first, and I did like it, but I really wish the micro transactions were not a huge thing for the multiplayer. I also see a lot of graphic bugs, poor quality crowd, bad hitbox, and overall just mid view from me. There are good things, like the options in franchise, and the competitive side is cool (Im horrible so I usually play alone or with friends) but I hear the old ones are more liked, but thats just what I hear, I have not touched them. I would give this a 6.5/10. A fun game, but better will be released in the future (I hope)
If someone could explain how these manage to look the same but be worse every year, it should be studied.
Despite all the flaws it has. It's a blast to play.

I can't launch either Madden 26 or Madden 25.
I've tried every solution found online: from admin permissions and uninstalling/reinstalling to driver updates and even updating C++ libraries. Nothing worked.
Long story short, My PC, with 64GB of RAM and a 5060, is unable to start any Madden currently available on the market.
Truly disappointed in EA.

game is fun, loads faster than madden 26 I got both games on sale and I am enjoying playing them, when madden 25 goes offline I still have madden 26 to grind with superstar mode, wish I had gotten the game sooner but I guess I can't complain because I got a good deal by saving money and enjoying the games.
I used to grind NBA2k games and not play madden because of the negative reviews, I actually have more fun now playing madden than nba2k lol
tuff game
I went crazy trying to play this game. I even had a computer programmer work on it for 3 hours. He did basic computer stuff (updates, etc.), checked the comments on Steam, all the suggestions on the blogs and the videos on YouTube. No luck. Sad, it looks like a cool game, the graffics look great.
Madden has gotten worse each year
The game is trash. It's terribly optimized, the AI is poorly coded as always. The difficulty jump between regular and the next level up or down is so drastic it's pathetic. Not to mention the AI by itself consistently doesn't do the correct things. QB has a perfect running lane? will throw it away instead. The fact anyone still pays money for any of the EA sports games is baffling to me (no I did not by the game. I use the sub service to play all the good EA games. Both MAdden and EAFC are just such terribly made games it's maddening to see 2 once amazing franchises get so bad you need a several thousand dollar PC to run them.
The game itself is not bad. I was able to play it before but EA doing EA things has led me to not even be able to launch the game. I can launch Titanfall 2 just fine. I genuinely do not understand how to get this game to launch. I've done so much troubleshooting and I'm just tired of it.

It is a shame this is the only NFL game, interceptions being more common than incompletions are ridiculous. Obvious EA is obvious.
Possibly the worst UI I have ever seen in a triple A (lol) game. Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ menus that take forever to load, quickly shuttle you into a new menu, and ask incessantly if you're sure you want to go back a level in the menu maze. Also constant ads to buy points? So that I can upgrade my character faster in single player? What? What kind of game even is this? What machinations are driving this drivel content? It is an absolute sin that EA has the exclusive contract to make NFL games. It goes to show how little EA and the NFL care about their customers. COnsUmEr!!!!!111!!!!! Give me more slop please Mr. Goodell. This game is why we are 89 seconds to midnight.

Pretty good stability once you figure out what it needs to get running. Of course the game is fun and a good time. Making sure all the settings and figuring out what is needed to be launched is the biggest issue that I faced in the beginning, but seems to be quite a bit better now.
madden is a good game for what it is. you may be paying a lot for the same game every year but at least the product is consistent and fun to play

Very Enjoyable game when I got controller to work. I personally like it more with controller and it just isn't compatible most of the time with pairing the controllers. I still recommend if you don't use controller.
