Life is Strange is a title that doesn't need introduction anymore. For a lot of now adult people it is a core memory from teenage years. It's a coming of age story, story about relations, anxiety, art, enviroment.
I had a pleasure to play this game as a teen in 2016 and now I did a replay - 2026. 10 years apart, seems like a long time but it went with a blink of an eye. Just as I said - story is about coming of age, which me - a teenager with anxiety who loves art, felt deeply connected to. With my naive mind I didn't even notice anything wrong about this game. I just fell in love with the game, calming indie soundtrack, visual style which is soothing (now a bit outdated but still shows you worldbuilding and gives this nostalgic feeling), relatable - at that point of my life - main character.
I loved seeing my different decisions after years - seeing how different I am, how more grown up. However now I can see much more clearly.
I do apprieciate this game with my whole heart, but sadly it's not perfect. Choices don't really have too much importance. There is literally just like 3-4 times when your choice really changes things. Also dialogue options are misleading - Max usually says something what you would not expect her to say just by looking at your options. And if we talk about dialogue... Nobody talks this way. This even teenager me noticed, because well, it is visible A LOT.
I don't appriciate anti-vacc propaganda. Let's be for real, people are stupid enough. It's also pretty strange because this game stands on pro-climate messages, so why anti-vacc? Villain reveal was really obvious however I do think with media literacy problem a lot of people probably ended up surprised.
Achievements are easy if you are aware of them - they are really enjoyable. With all that said I do recommend Life is Strange. With all it's disadvantages it's soothing my nervous system in some strange way. This game will forever have a place in my heart - firstly as a light in the dark for a depressed teen. Now - for (still) depressed adult. I kinda always have an urge to play or think about this game whenever life is too much. Because well, life is strange.

First time playing Life is Strange. Im glad the first episode is free since. I never played this franchise before that some of my friends really recommend me. I liked the game a lot. Story based that I choose the dialogue. Never even knew she can rewind time. Ima play the other episodes in the future. It was great and heart-warming at the end

I've just played through this for the second time - first in 2015 with release, and now in 2026. It captures lightning in a bottle, and second playthough won't be as impactful or emotional as the first one, but it is still amazing.

As for the different versions, I absolutely see nothing wrong with this one. I did download 4k remastered pre-rendedered cutscenes from nexusmods, but I have no idea whatsoever if that would make a difference in the enjoyment. Controller support works here perfectly, and my playthrough had one (1) technical issue, having seemingly been stuck in rewind, but might've been just me-issue as well.

Honestly, I avoided Life is Strange for the longest time, i knew the big choice at the end, because that's like public knowledge, I never really cared for high school stories, and I also had some friends who had some particularly choice words about it. But when I played it with my best friend earlier this year, everything just sort of clicked. Is it perfect? No, but it has amazing emotional beats, likable characters that you truly care about, an intense mystery to unravel, a genius mechanic in rewinding time, and insanely hard choices to make that will truly question whether you are actually making the right choices or not.

If you were on the fence of playing this game, at least try out the first episode, it's free. If you enjoyed it, go ahead and give the full game a shot, it's worth it, in my opinion.

Life is Strange, a game that is truly strange

Positives:
- The style and how the game looks is pretty nice, can look past the facial expressions since the game was made in 2015
- The idea of being able to rewind time is cool
- First episode was interesting and was the reason why I decided to play the whole game.
- Enjoyed the mystery of Rachel Amber's dissapearance and how manythings connected, noticed it was inspired alot by twin peaks and the murder case of Laura Palmer.

Negatives:

- Chloe Price is just terrible, not just as a friend but as a person. Her personality alone made it easier for me to sacrifice her at the end.
- Despite it being a choice driven story game, it felt quite linear
- Choices often felt less impactful, like you try to talk to and help Kate by doing everything you can, but no matter what she ends up on the roof trying to kill herself and you can save her by choosing options like it's a trivia game?
- At the end of the game, you get the red pill and blue pill choice of whether you sacrifice Chloe or the entire town of Arcadia Bay... wow...

Rating: 6/10
In conclusion, I think the game isn't the worst and you CAN play it if you are curious, it just has a bunch of flaws that affect the game alot

互动影视类作品里面设置电车难题并不难，难的是让玩家清楚地感受到每个选择的重量，奇异人生做到了。
我一开始有多讨厌克洛伊，后面就有多可怜她，我多想给她一个完美的结局，可一边是整个小镇一边只是个人，这个选择题不难。
关于我最后的选择，我觉得max也挺可怜的，因为只有她知道和记得自己失去了多么好的一个朋友，愿你金子般的赤子之心永不消逝。

Acabei de platinar o game, e que experiencia maravilhosa que tive, e olha que eu já havia zerado o jogo no Xbox One, mas nunca tinha jogado com a intenção de platinar antes. Quando Life is Strange saiu eu ainda era uma adolescente. Não tive a oportunidade de jogas e acompanhei todas as gameplays do Youtube que eu pude, que convenhamos para alguém muito jovem pode ter até mais graça do que jogar. Sempre gostei da história e sei que ajudou muito no meu desenvolvimento como ser humano, mas agora que joguei e sou adulta minha perspectiva sobre o jogo mudou bastante.

Começando pelas inúmeras referências à Twin Peaks, que é uma das minhas séries favoritas, acrescentando toda uma narrativa e preparando terreno para o tipo de história que estamos lidando. É extremamente apropriado e me fez gostar ainda mais do jogo. Toda essa mística de cidade pequena, clima ameno, bem como a época em que o jogo se passa estética mais a trilha sonora contribuem muito para a imersão do jogo. Em alguns momentos, eu poderia estar achando chato jogar, até por fatores pessoais de rotina, mas todos esses elementos tornavam a gameplay satisfatória e, enquanto eu não estava jogando eu sempre desejava estar.

Dessa vez, foi muito engraçada a maneira que me conectei com os personagens pois foi completamente diferente de quando conheci e tive aquele primeiro contato. Personagens que quando mais nova eu amava, agora não gosto tanto e vise-versa. Ao mesmo tempo que é trágico, também é bonito de perceber como minhas preferências e afinidades ditavam minhas escolhas e, então, o curso da história. Isso cria muitos aprendizados, além de reforçar essas conexões.

Eu me identifico muito com a maneira que a heroína olha pro mundo através das suas lentes (pun totally intended). Ela é gentil, empática E pode fazer muitos jogadores refletirem com a sua cultura e visão de mundo. Acho ela também extremamente interessante quando se trata da sua sexualidade e interesses românticos, porque ela não demonstra muito o que sente em relação a esses dois personagens mais próximos a ela que os jogadores acabam shippando com ela. Nisso, cabe a nós escolher por ela algumas interações, o que não muda muita coisa na personalidade dela, mas cria esse interesse no público, o que foi muito inteligente de pensarem.

Enfim. É o tipo de jogo que, quanto mais se avança na história, mais se torna interessante. Ele não desaponta, e se você acha chato no início, vai gostar eventualmente. Meu capítulo favorito é o último, por exemplo.
Queria poder voltar no tempo para jogar pela primeira vez, sem conhecer a história nem nada...

Oque dizer de um jogo tão aclamado..... Pois bem, primeira vez que joguei achei lento, porém em horas já havia baixado toda trila sonora no celular e ia para o trabalho ouvindo, ouvia no chuveiro, estudando para faculdade, quando pensava na gata e não é a mãe da minha filha!

Sabe aquele filme predileto, isso que todos que jogaram relatam para mim.

This was my first time playing life is strange 1. My first life is strange is true colors which I enjoyed all the way too completion. I am an avid Telltale game player so I thought I'd give this side of story telling genre a try.

Let me say the first episode had me hooked in a whole different way. I was surprised to see they had the sitting and reminiscing bit ever since they started. I loved that in true colors. I enjoy the story and it feels incredibly relatable as a college student measuring difficulties of life, academics and mental health.

If I were to suggestion 1 thing I have enjoyed from the developers of these life is strange games it is the music. It never misses and always makes me pause in my tracks to remember real humans had thoughts of this and put it into something for other people to enjoy and possible understand.

The controlling time is a bit hard to value choices because I feel I can choose something different after seeing how it might end. But that is the true power of time control so I don't mind it.

Finally I know, I'm going to enjoy Episode 2. Thank you Square Enix.

This game has robbed me of about five hours of sleep over the course of a week and I don't regret it a bit.

Quando eu joguei por outros meios em 2015 eu nunca parei pra notar como o estúdio conseguiu fazer muito com tão pouco, hoje parece que a qualquer oportunidade tem a Rachel amber te assombrando mas na época pareceu tão natural, talvez seja porque é mesmo.
Levando em conta todo estilo de produção e lançamento episódio o primeiro episódio é perfeito ems urpreender, atiçar, divertir; cativar.
