Life is Strange 2 does not get the recognition it deserves.

I genuinely think part of the backlash comes from the fact that it touches on political themes, racism, and gives you the choice to explore a male gay relationship. Even one of my friends said it felt “too liberal.” And if you know me, you know I’m not liberal at all—yet I played this and absolutely loved it.

Yes, those themes are present, but they never felt like the core of the game to me. For me, it was always about brotherhood.

You’re playing as the older brother suddenly forced into a caregiver role while still being a kid himself. He becomes the role model, the parent figure, everything. That’s such a heavy position to be in—and if actual parents struggle with it, imagine being 16. It’s not fair for either of them. Sean carries all that pressure and responsibility, while Daniel has to deal with losing a parent far too early, being forced into a dangerous and unstable life, and following a dream that was never really his. That dream is their father’s dream—to return to Mexico— which becomes something deeply symbolic for Sean after his death. That’s why he’s so set on going back: it’s about honoring that dream, finding safety, and holding onto something meaningful. But, like I've mentioned, Daniel is too young to fully understand that weight, so he resists it. And that tension between them is just… heartbreaking.

Being the older sibling is so difficult. It feels like no matter how hard you try, you can never fully get it right because they’re their own person too. Watching life slowly pull siblings apart, even when they love each other, is genuinely painful. These kinds of tragic family stories feel very real to me.

Gameplay-wise, the idea that you don’t have the superpower—but instead shape the person who does—is such an insane and innovative mechanic. You feel powerless, yet you actually have influence through your choices, your behavior, and how you raise Daniel. That’s your “power.” But it’s limited, because eventually he becomes his own person and makes his own decisions.

It basically works as a morality system—your choices push Daniel one way or another, and that determines the ending. And honestly… all the endings are kind of sad.

I won’t go into spoilers, but people really need to move past this idea that having “liberal themes” means a game is pushing an agenda. That’s not how it felt at all. It felt like a deeply emotional story about loss, trauma, parenthood, and brotherhood.

As an older sister, this hit me hard. I cried—and I *rarely* cry.

I genuinely can’t believe people are missing out on this game, but I tried.

And honestly? It still feels very much like Life is Strange 1—same company, same art style, same vibe, same godlike soundtrack. I don’t get why one gets so much love and the other doesn’t.

Este juego me ha acompañado por unos cuantos años ya y, todavía hoy en día, descubro partes de mí marcadas por él. Considero a Life is Strange 2 como el pico absoluto de la saga y por muchísima diferencia. Es una historia que, por los vientos que soplan a día de hoy, debe ser contada, tallada, escrita, jugada y grabada a fuego en todas partes.
Los hermanos Díaz se enfrentan a la experiencia de vivir en una sociedad profundamente polarizada, racista y xenófoba, viendo desde lo más radical hasta lo más sutil. Estamos expuestos a la realidad más cruda en la piel de Sean y, pese a todo, debemos seguir adelante para alcanzar el final del camino, donde sea que nos lleve. Life is Strange 2 es sofocante; tan sofocante como estar consciente de la otredad en la que estás encerrado sin haberlo decidido.
Sin embargo, puede verse luz, no necesariamente al final del camino, sino con cada paso que se da hacia adelante gracias tanto a Daniel como a personas maravillosas que conocemos a lo largo de los capítulos, mostrando que quizás no todo está tan perdido. Este juego de verdad cambió algo en mí; barrió conmigo y me tuvo tantas veces llorando frente a mi computadora que no podría vivir conmigo mismo si no lo recomiendo.

Hands down the best Life is Strange game. Play this even if you didn't like the first one. It's a huge improvement. For one, your choices actually have a meaningful affect on the dialogue and the ending you get. The story of the two brothers is also phenomenally done - both wholesome and heartbreaking. The hand-drawn graphics are really beautiful to look at and the music choice is peak. Overall 10/10 absolute shakabrah or whatever peak game

Si estan aqui quiero imaginarme que ya jugaron el juego anterior a este, realmente no influye en más que referencias me parece, elegi Bay over Bae y fue lindo verlas, cualquiera que jugara el primero debe jugar este, es lindo, personajes con lo que encariñarse es facil y se sienten humanos, si bien el primer juego destaca en estetica y en jugabilidad, en mi opinion este juego destaca en su historia, dejando de lado algunos aspectos se siente mucho más cercana esta historia a la realidad (que es peor o mejor segun quien lo mire) no todos los dias dos adultas jovenes destapan redes de una familia criminal que a sobrevivido por decadas, esto... Jugarlo es una mejor opcion

Desde un principio sabia que seria un juego doloroso, dolio más de lo que pensaba. Escenas como la llamada de lyla (que en mi caso la llame siempre que pude) o cuando Sean sueña con su padre justo despues de perder a Daniel...esa escena en especifico me partio el corazón; los dialogos se sentian ...reales? no se, me gustaron. Durante todo el juego senti una enorme sensacion de desesperación e impotencia que solo crecia mientras mas avanzaba. NO HAY UN FINAL BUENO, cuando termine de jugar me quede mirando un tiempo a la nada, tenia terribles ganas de vomitar y no me senti realizada al terminar el juego, habia hecho que Daniel robara, atentara contra personas...Me senti culpable, investigue y creo que no hay final feliz, dolio

This was... actually great.
Listen, I did not have great expectations. I assumed there was going to be some cringe — it's the Life is Strange franchise after all. I started the game being very naive and actually thinking about going to this Halloween party. I'm too European to see what was coming.

I like it being political; I like that after 8 years it's even more relevant now. I don't see why games shouldn't be political.
What I don't like is what they did with Mushroom. I hold a grudge against the developers. I can deal with police brutality, institutionalized racism, religious trauma — but ffs, have some decorum, don't do ♥♥♥♥ like that to me.

Anyway, I was actually surprised that my choices DID matter. Refreshing. Sometimes I didn't want to have a choice — for example, choosing a love interest. For real, hasn't Sean suffered enough? Why does he have to choose between two white people with dreadlocks? Give me a break.

Are there some plot holes? Sure. But it was a great ride.

I appreciate a game that is able to make me truly uncomfortable, and LiS2 does it in a good way. Especially that “the best” ending is the one that broke me the most.

Не дуже сподобалась епізодичність історії — гадаю, було б краще, якби вона була цілісною, без поділу на епізоди і великих розривів у часі.

Загалом гра залишила лише хороші враження, хоч і два мої фінали були не дуже позитивними.

This one feels different. In my opinion, it’s the heaviest and most emotionally intense out of the whole series. The story doesn’t hold back. The game tackles a lot of painful themes. Family, loss, and survival. It also shows racism in a very raw and honest way. Some scenes are genuinely tough to watch because you know situations like that happen in real life. But even with the heaviness, there are beautiful moments too. The bond between Sean and Daniel, the small peaceful scenes, the music—those things make the whole journey feel human and worth it.

它想讲一个更复杂、更现实的故事；但与此同时，游戏性层面的设计却依然停留在过去，甚至拖累了整体体验。

本作依旧延续系列核心结构：步行模拟器 + 选择驱动叙事 + 大量选择性互动文本问题在那套系列的[b]互动系统[/b]上：

这类玩家手动触发式互动文本似乎可以转化为**自动触发式的语音**来降低操作负担。但游戏内可互动对象数量太多了，如果全部变成自动播放式的语音，可能制作组需要压缩文本，不然同一场景下的互动物品密度根本触发不完。
不过我并不是开发者，我给不出完美的解决方案，但至少目前这种玩家手动触发式的互动明显对游戏体验来言明显是不合理的设计（无论初代前传还是2代）：
- 游戏节奏被严重拖慢
- 探索过程变得冗长且疲惫
- 整体体验呈现出一种“异常缓慢”的状态
但是这一机制从初代就存在，但收获的评价却截然不同初代的口碑极高，这一问题很少被批评；而到了二代，由于整体评价下降，同样的设计却成为被集中攻击的缺点。我在很多媒体评价中看到了这些问题，尤其是在二代在部分细节上其实有所优化（重复动画可以选择跳过）并且初代由于“时间回溯”机制，反而产生了更多无法跳过的重复对话与互动的前提下，两代不同的舆论环境有着截然不同导致评价反转。

[h2] 画面表现：技术进步，表达退步 [/h2]

得益于引擎升级，本作在技术层面确实有所提升：光影效果更加自然、环境细节更加丰富、整体画面更精致

但相比初代，2代在**构图与意境表达上明显逊色**。尽管是公路片结构，理应有更多给玩家展示自然景观与空间变化的机会，但整体视觉表现反而不如初代突出。初代海边的辽阔视野、沙滩上搁浅的鲸鱼、落日下的高校生活，反正初代每一章结尾与开头的动画中有不少印象深刻的艺术镜头，这些镜头具有极强的视觉记忆点。而二代虽然拥有更广阔的公路场景，却反而少了很多类似的“视觉锚点”。

配乐方面，本作虽然在风格冲击力上略逊于前两作，但整体质量依然很高。音乐与画面结合依旧出色、情绪表达细腻且有层次至于觉得和前面两作比哪个更好听就见仁见智了，至少我觉得和前作一样依旧是满分表现，给我拓展了歌单，有不少很好听的歌曲。

作为一款叙事驱动游戏，吸引购买和游玩最核心的就是剧本。
本作从初代的校园环境，扩展到整个美国：西雅图街头、森林中的非法工厂、宗教据点、美墨边境，除了叙事空间的变大，故事的主题也更加深化，相比初代偏向“情感与道德选择”的架空高校叙事，本作引入了更多现实议题：移民问题、种族歧视、社会边缘群体。故事也从初代max和克洛伊的“个人情感”上升映射到“社会议题”
本作最核心的设计在于主角关系：**你不仅在做你的个人选择，你同时在塑造另一个未成年人的价值观**
并且这一次所面临的道德困境更加激烈，而这一份不安不仅来自事件危机上的不安，同时还有相当一部分来自主角两人的身份：一方面自己就是来自墨西哥的移民，现在却拼命地想逃出美国，另一方面，拥有超能力的是弟弟，你的选择决定了一位未成年孩子价值观的塑造。尤其是因为弟弟未成年这一个身份，让任何危机情况下有关弟弟的选择都变得异常艰难，同时未成年身份的叛逆、心智不成熟，也让他不是单纯的讨人喜的乖弟弟，也容易被人利用迷惑。你的角色不仅承担着生存所迫，同时还需要做好“哥哥”的角色，承担好教育与引导。和初代相比争议比较多的一点是弟弟这一角色不再是“讨喜角色”，他心智不成熟、他有一点“不听话”，还会被坏人“迷惑”，在某章节中你能感觉到兄弟关系的疏远，尤其是在其中一章。但至少从叙事逻辑是这些都是自洽的
本作对比初代和前传作出来不少升级，至少剧本比初代更加复杂曲折，我觉得2代的表现要比初代还要优秀。

Cara, que jogo incrível.

Pra ser sincera, quando comecei a jogar, fiquei com medo de não ser bom quanto o primeiro ou algo assim, mas pra mim esse jogo é tão bom quanto o primeiro LIS.

Eu vi que as pessoas reclamam muito sobre o tema do racismo ser muito repetitivo no jogo, mas esse tipo de tema ser trabalhado é tão importante que até nos dias atuais, os EUA e imigrantes estão vivendo essas questões. A questão do jogo ser de 2018 e falar de coisas que infelizmente estão presentes nos dias de hoje é muito impactante e ao mesmo tempo triste. Não acho que é repetitivo, e sim importante retratar o quanto as pessoas e sociedade podem ser cruéis com minorias.
Gosto da diferença do primeiro LIS com o segundo, pois enquanto o primeiro trabalha com o tempo, calma e analise profunda das coisas, o segundo foca mais na destruição, nas escolhas afobadas e precipitadas, sendo o extremo oposto do primeiro jogo. Aqui não temos a escolha de que "se der algo errado, é só voltar no tempo", aqui precisamos lidar com a questão de um poder destrutivo, sendo controlado pelo seu irmão de 9 anos que não faz a menor ideia de como pode utilizar esse poder. Gosto de como as escolhas do Sean não impacta só ele, e sim molda as reações e jeitos do Daniel junto, assim tendo que tomar muito mais cuidado em fazer certas escolhas, pois não envolve só você, envolve também o seu irmão.
Você não tem tempo como tinha no primeiro jogo, as pessoas aparecem e vão embora muito rapidamente, e isso dá uma sensação de que você está realmente correndo contra o tempo e o desespero para alcançar a liberdade que procuramos durante todo o jogo. Então essa questão das pessoas ir e vir molda muito bem a atmosfera que os irmãos estão passando, de não ter tempo suficiente para criar laços, de não se acomodar tempo demais.

Esse jogo é incrível, e to abismada que o episódio que mais gostei (episódio 4) é o episódio que tem a avaliação mais baixa ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Evet 18 saatlik bir maceranın ardından oyunun 2 farklı sonunu ve farklı seçenekleri kullanarak oyunu bitirmiş bulunmaktayım. Grafik, hikaye, anlatım, işleyiş bakımından çok iyi herhangi bir sıkıntı sorun görmedim ve fazlasıyla sevdim. Çok fazla içine çekti oynarken başından kalkamadım bazen ne olacak acaba diye ama gel gelelim diğer sevmediğim duruma. İlk oyundan hatırlayacağınız üzere özel gücümüz vardı zamanı geri sarabiliyorduk zamanda yolculuk edebiliyorduk. Ama bunda tam tersi herhangi bir yeteneğimiz yok ne kadar fazla gerçek hayatta bir abi olsam da bu gücü bizim kontrol ediyor olmamız gerekirdi. Bence Daniel'ı kontrol etsek daha iyi olurmuş diye düşünüyorum çünkü ilk oyunda her b*kta yeteneğimizi kullanıp burda Daniel'a muhtaç kalmak çok fazla can sıkıyor. Benim açımdan tek eksik kötü yanı olan bizim gücümüzün olmamasıydı onun dışında her şey kusursuz neredeyse.

Este juego podría haber sido un 10/10, pero se quedó en 9/10 u 8/10 por sus finales tan mediocres. Primero, ¿me vas a decir que Sean, estando 15 años en la cárcel y apenas salir, ve a su hermano, echa una lloradita y lo abraza? Amigo, es tu hermano, pasaron 15 años; lo normal es que te derrumbes. 2.º final: Daniel pasa la frontera a México con Sean, pero le meten un tiro en la garganta. Básicamente, el peor final de todos. Se supone que la historia habla de tenerse el uno al otro, ¿qué sentido tiene que muera Sean? Y al fin un final decente, 3/4. Sean pasa la frontera con Daniel y aparecen juntos, nada en contra de este final. 4/4 Sean tiene la moral alta y se tira del auto para dejar solo a Sean, simplemente sin sentido; es desalmado e inhumano dejar a tu hermano que te cuidó básicamente toda la vida, en las buenas y en las malas. Conclusión: Solo la mitad o menos de la mitad de los finales son decentes. Dejando del lado esos finales, es mi juego favorito.

História incrível! Fiz o Blood Brothers. Procurei os outros, e vejo que fiz a melhor opção.
Tudo aconteceu por causa de um policial inexperiente racista que atirou no pai deles.... Imagina se eles não tivessem poderes. A viagem não duraria tanto tempo. Gostei da alusão que o jogo traz de que, para você fugir do sistema e a injustiça só com muito poder. Pq se não... não vai ver a justiça ou a liberdade. Ou talvez consiga, mas apenas depois de ser subjugado.

Jogar esse jogo hoje nos dias atuais, como latino, é muito louco ver que tudo o que se retrata no jogo no quesito racista, o preconceito do Estadunidense, e retratar de forma exata de como eles se acham superior a "tudo e todos!(Kratos STR kkkk). E o que me chocou mais ainda, foi o fato que hoje em dia a religião chegou ao mesmo ponto de fanatismo e manipulação como é retratado no jogo BIZARRO a precisão.

NOTA: 9,7. Não é 10 por conta de ser repetitivo algumas coisas, e o orçamento estava baixo para alguns cenários e variações no jogo. E também por conta do fator replay ser bem cansativo.

The game is alright. I wouldn't enthusiastically recommend it but it has decent social commentary. The game and dialogue choices were quite limited in my opinion, would have appreciated options to properly check in on people and actually talk to them.

Final episodes spoilers [spoiler] IMO some things just didn't make sense, like Karen not intervening when that guy from the church is beating up their own son. At least defend Sean so he can talk to Daniel in peace. Also, why is Sean driving to the nearest border crossing of all locations? That's the first things authorities would look after what happened at the police station. [/spoiler]

Story overall is slow paced and got quite the amount of filler scenes.

Life is Strange 2 — очень сильная, эмоциональная и по-настоящему запоминающаяся игра.
Это не просто интерактивное кино, а дорожное приключение с тяжелыми решениями, живыми персонажами и историей, которая цепляет с первых минут. Главная сила игры — в отношениях между двумя братьями. За их развитием действительно интересно наблюдать, и со временем начинаешь искренне переживать за них как за близких людей.

Игра отлично передает атмосферу постоянной дороги, неопределенности и попыток выжить в сложном мире. Каждый эпизод ощущается по-своему: новые места, новые люди, новые испытания. История взрослая, местами тяжелая, но именно этим и цепляет. Здесь много тем, над которыми хочется подумать уже после прохождения.

Плюсы:
— очень сильный и эмоциональный сюжет;
— хорошо прописанные главные герои;
— сложные моральные выборы;
— красивая атмосфера и приятный саундтрек;
— решения действительно создают ощущение личной ответственности;
— игра умеет вызывать сильные эмоции.

Минусы:
— темп иногда проседает, особенно в отдельных эпизодах;
— не всем понравится более медленное развитие сюжета;
— местами хочется большего влияния выборов на события;
— второстепенные персонажи не всегда раскрыты одинаково хорошо.

Итог:
Если вам нравятся сюжетные игры, где важны персонажи, атмосфера и эмоции, то Life is Strange 2 точно стоит попробовать. Это не самая легкая история, но очень искренняя, человечная и оставляющая след после финала.
Однозначно рекомендую к прохождению.

İlk oyuna göre karakterlerle daha zor bağ kurdum diyebilirim. Alıştığım kişi ve karakterler olmayınca bi' afalladım ama alıştım. Tercih eder miyim zor. Tabii bundan sonra ki oyunları da oynamam lazım ki buna karar verebileyim. Ama şu ana kadar 1. oyun bu oyunun fersah fersah üstünde gözüküyor. [h1] Lis 2: A powerful perspective [/h1]
If you asked me to describe this game in one word it would be impactful. As a loyal fan of the Lis franchise, there aren’t enough paragraphs that describe the way I feel about Life is strange 2.

At it’s core, the game follows the same recipe as the first by retaining its breathtaking aesthetics, nostalgic close to home vibe and great music. A familiarity fans of the first game can come to appreciate. DontNod took a huge risk by throwing gamers into a deep end of unfamiliarity that let every fan, old and new, brace themselves for an entirely different experience.

At its heart, the game tells a heavy narrative with themes that matter even more in today’s world than they ever have before. Racism, injustice, police brutality, xenophobia… Life is strange 2 explicitly holds its ground as a game that isn’t afraid to make these themes an important factor for its overall story. At the centre of it all are our two main characters, Sean and Daniel. Both who I cannot even begin to explain my love for.

I’ve always loved the interactive aspect of these games but Lis 2 takes the cake in its environmental story telling, having grown such an attachment to the cast, I found myself reading every letter, flyer, paper and anything I could get my hands on. Purely for the sake of getting to hear their thoughts, feelings and even learn more about them when possible.

Overall, the game does an amazing job at building a strong attachment between you, the player, and the two boys. Every hardship Sean and Daniel experience only makes the desire to protect them even stronger. With each chapter even harder to swallow than the last, It was difficult not to become emotionally invested. I would like to give my highest it praises to everyone who worked in this game. I cannot recommend it enough.

[b] С серией Life is Strange я был знаком только по Before The Storm. Это единственная часть, которую я прошёл, и она мне понравилась — скорее атмосферой и тем временем, в которое я в неё играл, чем самим сюжетом. Однако после прохождения интерес к франшизе у меня не появился: ни первую часть, ни вторую, ни True Colors проходить не хотелось. [/b]

[i] Всё изменилось благодаря случайным видео по Life is Strange 2. В основном это были нарезки сюжетных моментов, и, как человек впечатлительный, я быстро проникся. Интерес постепенно рос, и в итоге я решил попробовать игру сам. Я начинал без каких-либо ожиданий: не читал обзоров, не спрашивал мнений — просто сел и начал играть. [/i]

[b] Сюжет оказался сильным и запоминающимся. Игра регулярно ставит перед непростыми моральными выборами, последствия которых могут аукнуться позже. Один из запоминающихся сюжетных моментов произошел во втором эпизоде с Крисом, избегу спойлеров, но все же те варианты событий, которые могут с ним произойти, меня честно говоря удивили (в хорошем смысле). [i] К Шону и Даниэлю быстро привязываешься. Их отношения трогают, вызывают сочувствие. В какой-то степени я увидел в них то, как протекала моя жизнь с моим старшим братом, и то чего не хватало с его стороны по отношению ко мне в моем детстве. История дала лишний повод поразмышлять и задуматься. [/i]

[i] Одним из ярких моментов для меня стал момент в четвёртом эпизоде с запуском фонариков — именно там я не сдержал эмоций. Игра умеет вызывать настоящие чувства: от радости до слёз, и это её огромный плюс. Из спорного — тот же четвёртый эпизод. Он один из моих любимых, но именно там особенно заметно то, что многим не нравится в современных игр, но что является вполне себе нормой для игр серии Life is Strange. Не люблю я о подобном писать, но просто скажу, что в 4-й эпизоде тебе неохотно, но трактует определенные идеи и посылы (хоть и необязательно всегда текстом), что чутка сбивает общее впечатление от игры, но не делает ее плохой. К подобному я отношусь совершенно нормально и меня скорее сбило не то, что это есть в этом проекте, а то как авторы внезапно решили мне об этом рассказать и показать напрямую. [/i]

[b] Музыка — отдельное достоинство. Саундтрек идеально дополняет происходящее. После прохождения я ещё долго его слушал, и даже сейчас возвращаюсь к нему, чтобы снова прочувствовать те эмоции. [/b]

[b] Геймплейно — это классический Life is Strange: исследование, диалоги, выборы. Ровно то, чего и ожидаешь. [/b]

[b] Атмосфера — одна из сильнейших сторон игры. Каждый эпизод запоминается своей локацией, настроением и персонажами. Пейзажи то расслабляют, то держат в напряжении — иногда хочется просто остановиться и смотреть или же вовсе запечатлить какой-то из моментов. [/b]

[b] Мне сложно говорить о минусах — не потому что их нет, а потому что лично для меня они незначительны. Life is Strange 2 стала для меня не просто хорошей игрой, а историей, которая откликнулась внутри и заставила задуматься о личном. История Шона и Даниэля останется со мной надолго. [/b]
