Amazed at what an upgrade this game was on the first Lego Batman. Just finished playing the first one and it was good and was just expecting more of the same with the second but no, massive upgrade. Graphics, gameplay are improved and feel great, more of a free roam vibe also which is awesome., Can't wait to play the next DC Lego games, then maybe will try the other franchises. Late comer to the Lego games and didn't realise they were this fun.

Hello, welcome all Chuds, Gamers, and other Nerds. I aim to 100% all the games that catch my eye and join the sea of reviews on this platform.
Most will never read this, but I will review the games I find simply and thoroughly.

1 What is "LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes?”
A beat em up / collectathon utilizing Batman, Superman, and a very minor appearance of the Justice League, via a Lego environment in which you build with and interact with Lego. This game is the first to embrace open worlds and voice acting. As such, this is the first Lego game that does not fit the formula of the classics.

2 What does this game play like?
Mostly a puzzle and beat em up style game with semi common shoot em up vehicle levels.

Story 8/10: The story is funny and wholesome, just like the original. This game does however struggle a bit with the story in two key ways. 1: the misleading title “DC Super Heroes.” This game has the title of “DC Super Heroes” so why then, is it only about Batman, Robin, and Superman? The Justice League might as well not be in this game with how little they appear. 2: The focus on Lex and Joker. This story is focused on the Joker and Lex attempting to take over Gotham. This is a bit lackluster, especially since the original "LEGO Batman The Video Game” had the entire cast of Batman villains to fight. Make no mistake, this is a good, although short, Batman story. If you like Batman, or have a kid too young to play the “Arkham” series, this is great, it just isn’t a masterpiece.

Game play 8/10: The levels are great, although the total story length is VERY short. The open world is the big new feature… and it is… fine. The open world relies on pure aura / vibes, and somehow, it works. The open world is full of basic parkour puzzles for Batman / Robin, plus some “boss fights” (very short) with side villains. It must also be said: the flying / vehicles suck. This is the first attempt at an open world, but flying is clumsy and the vehicles are worthless. (Flying gets better in later open world games, vehicles are only ever good in missions where control is taken away from you to make it more “cool”)

Overall 8/10: This is the departure from the classic formula of pantomime humor and linear missions. This game is no masterpiece, but it is certainly not bad, it is a fun, short, Batman game. TLDR this game is particularity good if you have A: beaten the “Arkham” games and want more. B: have a kid too young for the “Arkham” games.

(Performance tip: Turn on V sync)

(Performance tip 2: I have no idea why this is the case, but the game will lag to an unplayable state if you use anything wireless I.E controller, keyboard, anything. I have no idea why, but you need wired equipment to play this on PC.)

(Performance tip 3: Use “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" in compatibility mode on the application to help the game run in a stable state.)

Não tem como negar, foi um grande marco nos jogos Lego, sendo o primeiro com dublagem e ainda com a mecânica de voo, mesmo que seja uma merda, eu gosto da história, mas as vezes não sabe muito o que quer ser, um World's Finest, ou um Batman e Robin clássico, mas no geral ele faz bem seu papel.
O mapa é muito bom, mas pqp, não dá para voar de um jeito decente que vc consiga aproveitar desse mundo, o que também deixa cansativo de um jeito maior fazer o 100% desse jogo, os personagens em geral é bem esquecível também os únicos com utilidade são uns 5,6 no máximo, e falta uma galera bem importante, mas considerando a época dá para entender.

A massive departure from every Lego game before it, this is the first of the Lego games to really include things like an open world, flying, and what actually divides the two (now three) 'eras' of Lego games, dialogue.
Starting with the dialogue, it's my favourite new introduction, especially after PoTC and HP, it was quickly becoming needed to actually keep up with the stories being told, and it allows for a unique narrative in this game, even if it is a bit on the weaker side. Plus having characters speak allows for a new type of humour to be introduced if desired with spoken jokes, which got me more times than I'd care to admit.
Also significantly, although LSWIII, HP 1-4, HP 5-7 had decently large hub worlds, this is the first Lego game to be fully open world, with tons of different collectables and bosses to fight in it. Admittedly it does sort of fall into the AC1 problem where I like what it introduces and what it could lead to, but the open world itself isn't great here. Many collectables feel super repetitive to pick up for 100%, with many just being to scale a building with a single suit. A large majority of these can be largely skipped by flying to the top, the controls for which are frankly awful. The bosses featured throughout similarly blend together, with Poison Ivy and Killer Moth being the only two villains to really have a unique boss fight. The rest of the open world just feels kind of empty, the only real special highlight being the carnival.
The level design is all over the place this time, the game as a whole is oddly short, some of the fifteen levels only taking around ten minutes to beat. Beyond that, this game is also the first to introduce save terminals within the levels, allowing you to quit and come back later, presumably so your next of kin can beat Chemical Crisis. Different suits are still present, although both characters only have three this time, but in return you also get to occasionally play as other justice leaguers, mainly Superman. As a small aside, I kind of wish we got to see more of them outside the last two levels of the game.
100% wasn't too bad outside of the tedium of getting all the people in peril and gold bricks in the hub world.
Overall, a great, if somewhat flawed, game featuring mechanics that would get better elaborated on and implemented in future titles.

Ao zerar e completar 100% pela terceira vez, venho a analisar um pouco sobre o jogo da minha infância e o primeiro da minha vida no qual eu "platinei" (lá no xbox360).
De forma direta: o jogo é divertido, eu recomendo (em uma promoção) adquirir o jogo. É mil vezes melhor que o primeiro. Possui uma história simples e interessante, uma gameplay básica dos jogos lego. É o pioneiro de uma fórmula que vem a se repetir nos jogos seguintes, uma muito boa e bastante aprimorada nos outros jogos.

Agora, chegando aos pontos negativos primeiro
Percebi umas péssimas escolhas game design, e vou destacar um pouco:
- Mundo aberto só depois de zerar (ele é aberto desde o começo, mas não possui a liberdade de escolher os personagens como nos jogos seguintes e de outros legos, como o lego marvel)
- Personagens novos só nas duas últimas fases do game. O jogo se torna bastante repetitivo com apenas o batman/robin/superman como personagens principais, e quando nos é introduzido novos personagens com mecânicas minimamente diferentes, o jogo acaba.
- Pouco conteúdo. Apesar de ter diversos personagens e veículos, estes só são disponíveis após zerar o jogo, e sem nenhum nível adicional ou alguma outra atividade no qual precise deles. Ou seja, apesar de alguns personagens serem bem feitos e possuírem certas particularidades, só servem se você criar um roleplay dentro do jogo, o que é meio entediante. Além disso, os personagens que você pode criar são bem limitados (e possuí bugs), e não possuem todas as roupas e todas as habilidades, retomando ao problema citado anteriormente, onde os personagens adicionais são inúteis.
- Um aspecto desse jogo que incomoda bastante, é que a cada bloco de ouro (um dos coletáveis do jogo, que se encontra em extrema abundância, cerca de mais de 200 espalhados pelo mundo) o jogo carrega, impedindo você de se movimentar até ele carregar (e até um pouco depois do ícone de salvamento). E parça, o jogo tem muitos blocos de ouro, e boa parte é bem repetitiva e tediosa de se obter, isso significa que você morrerá de agonia tentando completar este jogo 100%.

Eu poderia exaltar os pontos positivos, mas é um jogo básico de lego. Boa parte da minha satisfação se dá a nostalgia do game.
A atmosfera é boa, a dublagem é FENOMENAL, principalmente a do coringa. O mapa é extremamente bem feito. Os modelos de cada personagem e veículo é muito agradável.
É um jogo antigo, um dos precursores dos jogos de heróis lego, então o que você vai encontrar é só uma primeira versão bastante competente, porém incompleta, do que é um jogo lego extremamente divertido.
Em contraste com o terceiro, este possuí um mundo aberto bom...
Recomendo, e ressalto novamente que é melhor comprar em uma promoção. Aliás, um jogo antigo desse, não se deve pagar preço cheio.

this game is nostalgic to me, being the first lego game i owned as a child, and to be given the opportunity to play this game again i'm finally able to experience this masterpiece once again, and im glad i did the entire feel of it makes me feel so immersed despite playing on such a bad laptop, and the semi creepy theme is my favourite part, it feels like an arkham asylum game but made for babies, if youre ever bored and looking for something to play i highly recommend,

Good fun

It has an anoying camera view when close to a building only when playing as Superman, i found that Manbat is best at the flying.

The controls are not good have to keep holding A to fly forward.

The levels are great fun to play with no issue's

The story is funny.

Had a few crashes to the desktop, found out the game didnt like the resolution 2560-1600.

Overall i would recommend if you dont mind the little bugs that go with it.

Recuerdo jugar a este juego hace años en la wii y como este formó parte de mi infancia. Este "port" para PC mantiene bien la escencia de jugar lego con tus amigos o familia, eso si, es casi necesario jugar con controles/joystick porque con teclado es malisimo.

Los controles de vuelo en general se sienten muy desactualizados y poco comodos y a veces el mundo abierto cuando se juega en cooperativo y se cambia de personaje para hacer un puzzle es fastidioso para la otra persona debido a que se "pausa" el juego para ambas personas. Es frustrante agarrar un coleccionable y que el juego no te permita moverte.

Fuera de eso, la historia es simple pero cumplidora, lo que es de esperarse de un juego de lego, es entretenido, siento que cada personaje del roaster es muy unico y cada uno sirve para cosas en especifico, aunque por lo general solo vas a usar a lo mucho 10 personajes en total.

Volví a jugar este juego con mi pareja recientemente y la verdad es que lo disfrutamos muchisimo, jugabamos a veces con el modo local en linea de steam y a veces local en la misma computadora. En ambos casos funciona muy bien el cooperativo, aunque si se juega en linea si es necesario tener buena conexión a internet.

En conclusión: Es un buen juego de lego y un excelente juego para jugar con un ser querido.

Debió llamarse "LEGO Batman & Superman" (LEGO Batman 2)

Originalmente, este juego debió llamarse así, porque de "DC Super Heroes" tiene poco. En la primera entrega, el hecho de que los personajes no tuvieran voz y solo hicieran gestos le aportaba un carisma épico y memorable. Al llegar a esta secuela, extrañé muchísimo esa esencia; entiendo que los juegos evolucionan, pero se perdió parte del alma original.

Mi mayor queja es el título: ¿Por qué rayos se llama DC Universe? En casi todo el juego solo vemos a Batman, Robin y Superman. La Liga de la Justicia apenas aparece en las últimas dos misiones; un nombre que, a mi parecer, no es nada acertado. Otro punto que me sacó de quicio fue el sistema de vuelo: ¡es un desastre! Es tosco y difícil de controlar, no sé en qué estaban pensando.

Sin embargo, hay que aplaudir que Flash es una pasada y el mundo abierto está muy bien construido, con zonas memorables de Gotham y minijuegos divertidos (aunque a la larga se vuelven repetitivos como en todo LEGO). El catálogo de personajes es adecuado: justo, equilibrado y sin relleno innecesario. Definitivamente no es un mal juego, es extremadamente disfrutable y mejora la escala de su predecesor, pero no logra superarlo en esencia.

Лего Бэтмен 2 самая, как по мне, культовая и интересная часть. Если сравнивать с первой, то это небо и земля.

Самое приятное, что я могу выделить, это то, что теперь у игры есть озвучка, персонажи не мычат, как в первой, а полноценно разговаривают. Это добавляет серьёзности сюжету и уже не выглядит как комичная пародия. Но не забываем, что это всего лишь лего игра!

Сюжет расскажет про то, как Джокер и Лекс Лютор объединяются, чтобы захватить Готэм, а Бэтмен вместе с Робином и другими героями, вроде Супермена, пытаются остановить их и спасти город.

Намного всё живее и интереснее происходит, нежели в первой. Геймплей тоже не стоит на месте, добавили новые механики, костюмы и т.п. Ну а так всё то же самое, ломаем, строим, решаем загадки.

Были небольшие проблемы с камерой, но сильно это не мешало. Рекомендую играть на джойстике!

В целом легендарная часть, был рад перепройти её)

i feel like this was the best lego batman, more ambitous and it paid off for the most part. not perfect but overall great and nostalgic and my first lego game to 100%. hope to keep going.

Played this game as a kid. Still holds up well. Just fix the resolution so it fits your whole screen. It sounds obvious but I was playing with black bars with the first hour. 10/10 PLAY IT

Пойдет, 100% за 24.5 часа. Игрулька интересная, закрыл свой детский гештальт, проходил с девушкой, ей понравилось. Игра простая, сюжет можно наверное вообще пройти за часов 4-5. Остальное допики, золотые блоки, битвы с доп персами за доп персов.
