I didn't quite like this game as much as the other LEGO games I have played (LotR, LB Trilogy, LMSH 1&2 among others), mostly because it is one of the last games to have mumble voices and the open world or hub is just not as good as other games. The mechanics felt forced with the pets and the graphics were the spot between nicely bad like old LEGO games like TCS and decent enough like LEGO Batman 2 making it just not a very enjoyable game. 4/10

Игровой процесс в сравнении с первыми главами никаким образом не поменялся, мы все также исследуем уровни, решаем головоломки и собираем огромное количество коллекционных предметов. Стоит отметить добавление дуэльной механики, которая не блещет разнообразием и однообразие битв с боссами. Разработчики тут не парились и просто сделали копипаст.
С технической части проблем не заметил, на Steam Deck играется неплохо, но иногда есть просадки по кадрам ниже 60, но дискомфорта такие моменты не доставляют. Как правило они случаются просто при путешествии по замку. Визуальная часть выполнена на отлично, замок проработан до мелочей, а музыкальное сопровождение, вдохновлённое саундтреком из фильмов, усиливают атмосферу магического мира.
Игра не революция в жанре, а сделана в большей степени для поклонников вселенной Гарри Поттера и даёт возможность пережить финал знаменитой истории в более лёгкой и весёлой форме.
I'm not too sure what to say about this one. Being a direct sequel to the last LEGO Harry Potter game, it makes a lot of sense that this game would share most of its mechanics, story, and characters with the first game. In case you forgot, I have never seen the Harry Potter films that these games are based upon. I can only judge these games based on their merits, not how well they adapt these movies. In terms of new mechanics, these are mainly Weasley boxes and Hermione pink pads, both of which add some unique abilities to two of our main characters. Another addition are wizard duels, which I found pretty fun. I did not love the story of the game, and I am still not compelled to watch these movies. It's a fun enough time, but I think an overall slight improvement from the first game. I would give it the same score as Years 1-4: 7/10.

It's more Lego Harry Potter. Everything in the game feels about the same as the first, except graphically it's a little nicer and new spells are added in. The game still relies heavily on puzzles during gameplay, combat being split between tiny encounters with one-hit enemies that appear in what feels like a quarter of the levels and wizard duels that are just not really fun. The problem with dueling is that every duel feels the exact same, because they mostly are, switch to the indicated spell, cast it, then button mash, repeat three more times to win. Yeah, you can shield, but it's pretty useless, and the minigame just hurts my thumb after awhile.
My biggest problem with the game is that it just feels unsatisfying, Lego objects instantly don't break to give studs generally like they do in every other Lego game, most of them play a short animation reaching up to four or five seconds sometimes and then just dropping studs. It's hard to put into words why I don't like how this feels, I just don't, it doesn't seem to me like interacting with objects in this way gives nearly as strong player feedback and makes levels take longer as you wait for animations to finish, plus there's no way to mass-destroy objects like a bazooka or a jedi slam.
Story-wise, I have basically no idea what happened and the game seemed like it just kind of ended with Voldemort's death, the final boss was an absolute anticlimax where you essentially just mash a button four times to win.
Collectables are a little better this time since the advanced guide actually tells you what you missed in every area in the hub world, although the flaw in the lack of needed character diversity is best on display by the fact that to 100% the game you only need to have seven characters unlocked (and one of them is just a Ravenclaw for a one-time door).
I just really don't care for it. The puzzles aren't great, the dueling is bad, and the story is nearly incomprehensible due to the complexity of the books not being portrayed well without dialogue. Plus having the characters have to re-learn all their spells at the start again feels a little cheap.
Un désastre technique pur et simple. Le jeu est complètement buggé, avec des drops ahurissants à 10 FPS alors que je le fais tourner sur une RTX 5080 Astral et un 9950X3D... Et si on ajoute à ça une maniabilité bien plus horrible que sur le premier jeu, on part de très loin.
Côté contenu et Level Design (LD), c'est la douche froide. Le hub a été amputé d'énormément de choses (disparition des salles communes, sérieusement ?). L'ajout du sort d'eau est une immondice absolue, tant au niveau de ses contrôles cassés que de son utilisation dans le LD. Les boss n'arrangent rien puisqu'ils reposent tous sur la même boucle : renvoyer un objet puis spammer une touche.
Résultat, refaire les niveaux pour le fameux 100 % se transforme en véritable calvaire. On alterne entre des niveaux atrocement chiants où la solution est illogique, et des séquences avec un spawn infini d'ennemis qui te stun-lock en boucle (le comble : même avec l'extra d'invincibilité activé, tu te fais quand même stun).
C'est la deuxième fois que je suis fondamentalement déçu par un jeu LEGO, et bizarrement, c'est encore une fois la deuxième itération d'une licence (coucou l'immonde Indiana Jones 2). À fuir.
I've never really been a fan of the later Harry Potter films, the originals have always been my go to. This game however brings the stories together nicely and makes it just as enjoyable as Years 1-4. Wish there was achievements but now the remastered collection is out, I'll replay it for that! Great game and shows the quality that the Lego games have to offer. Great value as you can get this for really cheap!
While I recommend this game as another highly enjoyable Lego game there are a couple of issues. First I would like to mention that I loved the design and the improvement with the guide to make it easy to find where collectibles had been missed - a really fantastic improvement from the previous version. The map was much easier to navigate and less confusing that the previous Lego Harry Potter but this was mostly because a lot of the map is linear which leads to long excursions at times to reach areas (the worst is Hogwarts and the Leaky Cauldron are at opposite ends of the line requiring a lot of travelling during freeplay).
The worst issue I found with this Lego version is it does not save custom key configurations between plays leading to the need to restore custom key configurations manually at the start of each session (early on I forgot most load ins until my keys didn't work).

If you're going to get this game I highly recommend getting the newer all in one edition which includes the first year to 4 and all up to the 7th year because it will be everything without the hassle of going from game to game just to finish everything. I wish I would of known that version was being released then I would of held off on getting the separate versions which is overall okay but still disappointing. The game overall is great if you're a Lego and Harry Potter fan

What the heck went wrong when they were making this game? The frame rate stutters on modern PCs, modifications to the control settings don't persist between sessions, and there's no cloud save storage. I can't endorse the collection either, because I have no idea if they fixed these issues, because even though I own Years 1-4 and 5-7, for some reason that doesn't net you the collection automatically. What a bunch of petty cheapskates.

Classic but cant do 100% due to a bug.
After completing Lego H-P(1-4) I was looking forward to 100%'ing the years5-7 and I can say it's still just as fun as the first game. This game only has 1 bonus level unlike the first game with its ~10 bonus levels which is a win. The dueling system is fun, yet focuses less on the puzzel aspect of the first game (which was partly found in the bonus levels), and "boss" fights are a little repetitive although not unenjoyable. The map is bigger and more fun to explore. The character designs are a little better although it does compromise the charm of years 1-4 a little bit. The best thing about this game is that there are no game breaking glitches unlike the first game, although there is a completion glitch for gold bricks in the overworld that might stop you from claiming them all. This didn't happen to me in that I was able to get 100% completion but in my case it presented only as a visual bug that made it seem like a gold brick hadn't been claimed. In any case it's worth a play.
At last, a game where I fight fires instead of game-breaking bugs. 10/10 would extinguish again.
I found Lego Harry Potter (both Years 1-4 and 5-7) to be very engaging and fun. They aren't challenging, by any means, but if you want something easy to play that is just cute, quirky, and follows the main storyline of the books, you will enjoy this.

For anyone interested, I managed to "fix" the constant stuttering by capping the FPS at 60 in the NVIDIA Control Panel. (There were still some hiccups here and there but it was bearable enough to keep playing normally)
I might be biased because I previously played the PS3 port. However, only now have I managed to 100%'d it.
It was surprisingly easier than what I last remembered, and even easier than 1-4, for that matter.

Świetneee lego, piękna muzyka, zagadki, bossy i coś nowego.., pojedynki, tak niesamowicie mi się to podobało, szkoda że były tak proste ale czegoś innego się spodziewać po grze dla dzieci; które i tak często dają w kość z łamigłówkami. Cudny był poziom z trzema braćmi którzy w filmie byli tylko opowieścią. Bardzo polecam te magiczne klocuszki!

The sequel is a worthy continuation. If you played the first one, this one is a must.
Just like the later movies, this game focusing on years 5-7 are far more atmospheric.
I can't put my finger on it, but it feels like it has more combat and less gamey aspects than the prequel.
Nevertheless the Lego games are as usual charming, funny, best enjoyed in Co-Op. The core remains the same.
The sequel feels more cinematic and for me showed some performance issues but they weren't that bad.
Some segments felt rushed and unpolished when compared to the first game. Nothing dire, but it still can be felt.
For some reason, I assumed they would make Death Hollows a single part, as the name implies "years 5-7" but just like the movies the last part is divided into two separate "years".
It should have been called "Years 5-7 + 7.5" lol
Playing with the MAGNET, fast casting and fast digging "cheats" is a must, otherwise prepare for a grind.

This game has a really bad stuttering problem that cannot be fixed at all. It does run on high resolution and framerate, but still stutters in new regions. Beside that, there are bugs like ghost studs spawning out of bouds or physics bugs.

This game is so buggy. I got halfway through before getting soft locked from progressing any further due to a bug.

El juego es muy entretenido, basado meramente en las películas y pese a no tener diálogos, es entendible con lo visual, ademas de que las muertes de cada personaje en lugar de trágicas, pasan a ser de lo mas cómico. Sin duda lo recomendaría para jugarlo acompañado con pareja, amigos o algún familiar. agregando claro que puedes jugar de nuevo las misiones si te dejaste algo pendiente, porque tiene el poderosisimo modo libre con personajes desbloqueables a lo largo de cada misión.

El juego pese a su tiempo me resulto muy nostálgico, recuerdo cuando jugué a la versión de coleccionista para el XBOX 360, venía con unos imanes LEGO de cada una de las casas de Hogwarts, aquella vez de niño lo jugué no solo con mi hermana sino que era la primera entrega, Years 1-4 y es super adictivo, lanzar hechizos a tu compañera, pareja para molestarse entre si, y ahora que lo juego en mi adultez sigue siendo una chulada de juego, yo en lo personal le doy un cien sobre cien (Benja).

Gloriously eccentric, cute, and a real love letter to both the Harry Potter and LEGO franchises. For such an old game, the open world is quite big and extremely engaging. Furthermore, Years 5-7 sands off the rough edges of Years 1-4.

Stop milking harry potter franchise
Either the devs, the game, or both are drunk as hell because this port is about as stable as a newly-built Chinese building, and has slowdowns harder than some modern AAA games. This game actively tries to ignore your monitor's refresh rate and back itself down into console FPS (30), and crashes more than the cars on India's roads. Seriously, I love this game and still enjoy it on PC, but honestly, just get the new Collection. It may be flawed still, but it won't act like a bull in a china shop on your computer.
Unfortunately very buggy and unplayable at times.
The save game system is broken, it saved like every 10-25 minutes. Very inconvenient for a kid of this age. Do not buy!!

Jeu assez sympa, moins bon que le premier pour ma part, le système de duel c'est une vrai plaie. Certaines nouveautés sont cool, surtout la boite Weasley avec sa musique, c'est fun ;)
Bom jogo, literalmente o mesmo padrão de gameplay do jogo anterior mas nesse sinto que algumas mecânicas não foram trabalhadas de forma tão acertiva como no primeiro. Tirando isso é um jogo muito bom, porém não vale o preço cheio então só pegue em promoção.

Спочатку думав що взагалі не сподобається грати в цю гру. Я не люблю аррі поттера. Але як затягнула!
Рівні цікаві, багато загадок, і інтерактивностей. Проходив сам але було все одно весело. Наповненість в грі шалена, світ після проходження цікаво досліджувати. А фінальна битва дуже сподобалася.
One of the best LEGO games ever. Although, I highly-highly recommend the LEGO HP Collection instead.
It might be a better game than Hogwarts Legacy
