Средняковый и кривой шутерок на вечерок. Прохождение заняло 6 часов.
Из минусов:
- Кривые анимации
- Кривая стрельба
- Кривое движение
- Сомнительный интерфейс
- Посредственная для тех лет картинка
- Куча багов
- Наличие способности руки - максимально тупое решение, т.к юзаешь только ради хилки и постоянно дрочишь зарядку этой руки

Вывод: не рекомендую! Эта игра явно была кривой ещё в свои годы, сейчас так вообще играется очень топорно и вырвиглазно. Спасает только то что она не растянута и её можно пройти буквально за один вечер.

Откровенный проходняк, душный и скучный.
Прикольная идея с ящиком Пандоры, но абсолютно скудная реализация.
Средней паршивости графика, звук подкреплённый серыми, унылыми коридорными локациями. Много душных сегментов где нужно отстреливать орду одних и тех же монстров. Стрельба средняя, способности только отбрасывание, почти не используется в игре как и половина оружия.
Унылая беготня за вора в костюме. Убогие скрипты, фризы, позорные головоломки. Экшончик почти отсутствует, везде достаточно боеприпасов, нпс выполняют идиотские действие. Например, непонятно зачем волку швыряться ящиками, вместо нападение на ГГ. Сюжет перспективный, но с сумбурной подачей, искусственными диалогами. Боссы и матёрые нпс застревают, их можно убивать просто из укрытия.

Es un juego muy entretenido, corto. hombres lobo, dragones de fuego, golems y otras criaturas a la que enfrentar o de las que escapar. Es un juego viejo así que se juega con el modo nostalgia ON. Las animaciones son bastante feuchas para el tiempo en el que vivimos, pero se deja jugar. Tiene un bug casi al final (lo compré porque en su época lo había jugado y no había podido terminarlo) pero si buscan van a encontrar la solución y terminarlo sin problemas.
Buen juego y tira en casi cualquier pc. Algo corto, pero NO LO JUEGUES EN DIFICIL, yo lo hice y me lo pase entero y ni un triste logro me dieron. Fue tortura, completamente, haces casi nada de daño y te matan de dos toques, repetir los niveles mas coñazo 17 veces, 3 escopetazo en la cara para matar a un soldado normal. Especial mención a la pelea con el grifo por primera vez, ( absolutamente horrible un porron de intentos y no te dejan saltar la cinematica), el bug del ascensor que hay que capar los frames a 30 o te sales del mapa y caes por siempre y la batalla final que es largisima y no tiene checkpoint. Quitando eso es divertido, tenso, bastante bien envejecido, dinamico, super original pero bastante corto. Se nota que querian haberlo alargado y se nota mucho en el final pero tuvieron que recortarlo, como en dark souls 2. Me costo 41 centimos por oferta y merecio la pena y fue un buen cambio de aires y un reto. Mi consejo es ponerlo a la wishlist y cuando este muy barato comprarlo.

Legendary – это средний шутер категории B. Игра не особо старается погрузить тебя в историю происходящего (пролог, который должен быть перманентно проигрываться при начале новой игры, вынесен в меню отдельной плашкой. При новой игре никто ничего вам не покажет и не расскажет). Нас буквально выбрасывают в незнакомый мир, показывают начало катастрофы и... все. Почему главный герой сделал это, кто ему приказал – без пролога не разобраться.
В дальнейшем вся "кинематографичность" сводится к лютой бутафории, с которой никак нельзя повзаимодействовать. Если идти быстрее скриптов, то будут получаться не очень красивые сцены – мы буквально должны ждать момента, когда нам что-то покажут.
Боевка тут никакая. Одна из самых неприятных боевок из всех что я видел. Оружие стреляет жёлтыми пластиковыми пульками, судя по его отдаче. Топор... Ну это топор, его трудно испортить. А "особые" способности и не такие уж и особенные. Никакой прокачки в игре нет, как и смысла использовать что-то помимо отхилла.
Враги выглядят интересно и необычно до появления стандартных противников людей. Я не против такой концепции, когда нам противостоят и монстры и люди, но тут это смотрится как... Как не знаю что. Неприятно с людьми стреляться из-за кривого оружия.
Legendary надо похоронить в Ящике Пандоры и никогда его не открывать. Эффект ностальгии не помог от слова совсем

El juego personalmente no me ha gustado.
No es por los gráficos que se parecen al Half Life 1.
El ambiente y los entornos están muy trabajados, la acción que ocurre a tu alrededor mientras juegas en increíble.
El problema del juego son los enemigos. Repetitivos hasta la saciedad. Las armas tienen poca variedad y de munición escasa para lo que pide cada enemigo.
La musica y los sonidos acaban molestando, saturan bastante.
La jugabilidad en general cae en la repetición.
No lo recomiendo, hay juegos de la época mucho mejores.

This game can be fun and enjoyable ONLY if (1) you do not mind dying because of recurring glitches and bugs, and (2) you are prepared to frequently restart the game after becoming stuck due to technical issues.
Progression is also frequently interrupted by moments in which certain objects cannot be passed because of poorly implemented invincibility frames. If you are able to overlook these frustrations and approach it simply as a kind of platformer, the game still has merit.
Legendary has one of the funniest openings to a game I've ever played, and it got a good laugh out of me. The problem is this game is so awful to play.
The weapons feel like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it take so much ammo to kill most enemies, movement is horribly clunky and you constantly get stuck on the most random geometry on the map, and finally while the set pieces for each level is fun in practice they are not very fun to playthrough.
Grab this game if you want to stream it to some friends on discord while drunk or high, but if you're looking for a game to actually play I would say skip this one.

Был 2009 год. У меня брат спросил, какую игру я хочу себе на мой День Рождения. Я сказал что-нибудь из разряда "хоррор". И вот, наступает тот самый день, и он мне вручает диск с этой игрой. Я покрутил коробку с игрой, поблагодорил его и прочёл описание на коробке к игре, сейчас я уже точно не помню что там написано, что-то вроде мифологию, разных существ, которые вылезают из какого-то ящика. Меня это заинтриговало. Как у меня появился доступ к ПК, я её сразу её установил и запустил.
Меня понравилась начальная заставка и введение в игру (мне на тот момент было 11 лет и я был впечатлительным). Мужик в офисной форме, проникает в запретную зону музея, открывает Ящик Пандоры (Это я уже понял позже), из этого Ящика вырывается луч и рушит стены музея. И после выхода из этого музея, начинается мифологическая вакханалия. И мне на столько понравилась, что меня затянуло с головой. Сюжет, сеттинг, музыка, персонажи, всё это, мне казалось невероятным. На механику игры, хоть и местами корявую, иногда кажется сделанную на коленке, мне было плевать, я был вовлечён в игру полностью. Если кратко, моё мнение 9/10. Но лучше поиграйте сами, создайте СВОЁ мнение об этой игре.

The experience is gutted by awful writing and a narrative that fails to make sense. To make matters worse, the gunplay feels weak and spongy, with enemies barely reacting to your shots, while the jumping is absolutely terrible, turns every platforming section into a chore. Легендарная забагованная шляпа. Существует какой-то баг, из-за которого фпс дропается до 29 кадров и постоянные фризы независимо от графики, разрешения и железа.
Полазила в сообществе, кто-то писал, что имеется такая же проблема с видюхой 1080, в общем, скорее всего, у игры несовместимость с современным железом и OC. Какого-либо решения сие проблемы не нашла.

Gameplay.Its a first person shooter in the same vain as halo,call of duty and many other console shooters from the mid 2000's where you a 2 weapon limit so you find a fire axe and a asortment of fire power to put down the creatures from a pistol,shotgun ,assault rifles a rocket launcher and a flame thower.Enemies come in a range of creatures ranging from warewovles to griffons,minotaurs,fire drakes,wips like creatures and a kraken which shows up later also you will have to take out Black order soliders.The Signet power you gain from opening pandoras box grants the ability to absorb energy from slain enemies to heal youreself and unleashed a burst attack which can stun enemies and to clear certain barricades.
Graphics. The game uses the before mentioned unreal engine 3 so the game looks good but has a dull colour pallette the set pieces in the game look great from collapsing buildings to a karaken destroying big ben.
Sound efeects and music.The sound effects of the creatures are great and same can be said about the ambient sounds of collapsing buildings and people screaming in the street as griffons swoop down and attack the npcs as for gun sounds the sound good the shot gun sound like duke nukems forevers shotgin when fring and reloading sounds looks like randy pitchford borrowed this games sound effects considering this game pre dates duke forever.
Would i recommend this game yes it has great set pieces cool enemy types and nice story and some interesting ideas but the game has some flaws such as a 2 weapon limit and i heard of but did not happen to me a glitch which can happen on the final elevator ride to the final area whuc Dekard to fall into a void lucky this did not happen to me on my play through bit keeps this in mind i see there is a fix online should this happen to you.
Rating. 8/10 its a fun fps game with some flaws but its nothing mindblowing if you looking for another fps game to add to youre collecction then give this one a try plus who doesnt love blasting griffons and warewoves.

This game isn't high art even by mid2000s FPS standards but I have no idea why reviews are so low. Is it janky and unremarkable? Yeah. Are the enemies bullet sponges and the guns inconsistent at most ranges? Yeah. Are there annoying instant-death traps, areas where you have to set the framerate to 30FPS for the physics to work, and some of the worst platforming ever seen in a video game? Yeah. But there's also enough spectacle and gleeful urban destruction to make Prototype and Darksiders look reserved.
Sometimes you want a shotgun, a hallway full of werewolves, and a vague reason to be at the other end of the hallway. If that's enough for you there's worse ways to spend 6 hours. There's better ones, I probably should've just replayed Doom 3, but again Doom 3 doesn't have a kraken tear through Big Ben while griffons take out all your helicopters. There's spice here.
A rare example of a game with a "mixed" steam review rating because it is truly just middle of the road and not being review bombed or anything.
It's like the video game equivalent of a b movie. Plenty of dated graphics and late-2000's gaming cliches to gawk at if you find gawking at those sorts of things fun.
If you like playing through bad games, you'll get a kick playing through this. If you like playing through good games, well you can do a lot better, but also it's only $6. But if you hate playing through bad games, maybe skip this one.
what atttracted me to this game was the level of destruction shown in the trailer and it did pay off, the action in this game and the atmosphere of destroyed cities is amazing.
the monsters were all really cool too see since there were some that i didnt even know and the game explains their lore which is nice.
Deckard benig the whole game in a suit is tuff as hell.
Negative stuff about the game are:
healing system is cool that it revolves around the animus, but it sucks since sometimes theres no way to cure yourself;
not enough stamina, quick to run out and slow to regain;
in certain moments it seems like the objective is to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ seeing how you are put in really hard situations.
Still a game i enjoyed.

I played this game back in the day on Xbox 360 and remember liking it quite a bit. Playing it on PC though kind of changed my opinion on it.
First, the gameplay is bog standard. The premise of the game is you unleashing a bunch of mythical beasts after opening Pandora's Box and even though the character you play as gets powers from this they really only serve as an excuse for health regeneration (though it is worth noting that it's not automatic.) No crazy weapons, no crazy powers, nothing imaginative or exciting at all in terms of gameplay.
The story is kind of half-baked too. It ends on a cliffhanger and is kind of super short. I must not have paid much attention when I first played this but I only spent 5 hours with this game before finishing the campaign. Granted, the game can be bought for dirt cheap now, so I'm not going to necessarily ding points for its length in 2026.
What stops me from recommending this game are the weird technical issues. It has mouse acceleration problems that can be somewhat fixed through .ini changes, but there's also a gamebreaking bug right before the end of the game where you fall through an elevator. I was able to work around it by hard limiting the game to 30 FPS, but I had to use AMD's Frame Rate Target Control to do so because the game seemingly ignored my settings in the .ini.
I still kind of like this game. It's one of the only modern-day mythological FPS games I've played and the soundtrack is pretty freakin' cool as well. That being said, I'd recommend it on consoles instead of PC because that elevator bug is just plain inexcusable.
I don't think I can think of a worse game than this. Remember Me is a close second but at least that was actually a little bit cool and not just trying too hard to be cool.
This could have been something. Creatures of myth running wild in the modern world is such a cool idea. I wish we could have seen the sequel alluded to in the end but it wasn't meant to be. With more time in the oven this could have been the start of a great franchise but as is it's a sad reminder of how cool games used to be. It isn't perfect but for $6 bucks ($0.71 on sale) it's worth seeing what could have been.

No se que se fumo el departamento de jugabilidad para hacerlo tan molesto y frustrante.
El brazo se supone que es la "innovación" en este juego y solo se usa para curarse uno mismo y absorber energía, y también para un ataque que no sirve contra humanos, entonces sirve para los monstruos, si... en contables ocasiones.
Desde enemigos haciendo daño asquerosamente alto o npcs que no ayudan, hasta armas desbalanceadas (la magnun mejor arma), etc.
Y me parece un insulto que este juego tenga la etiqueta de "terror" cuando no da nada de miedo.
Cómpralo en descuento y juégalo en un día, o es mejor, dejalo de jugar si te aburres o te frustras en un jefe molesto, no vale la pena seguir jugando un juego que solo dura 5 horas máximo.
Not good, but still worth the experience.
It's a mediocre shooter with an interesting premise poorly exectuted. The spectacle alone of mythical creatures being unleashed in the modern world causing chaos and destruction had me sold on this game, and there are moments when it really works. Unfortunately on the whole these moments are brief and you spend a lot of your time trudging through sewers and the like fighting mostly werewolves. It left me underwhelmed but I can't say I hate it.
There was a lot of potential in this title, and you can see the production value is there, just not fully realised. It feels a little rushed in the delivery with limited variety in what was presented as a swarm of diverse creatures flooding the earth. The story is fine but told in a dull uninteresting fashion, voice acting is wooden but inoffensive, music is decent but underutilised, it's visually bland but stylistically solid, gameplay on the whole is functional but clunky.
I don't know why it says it doesn't have controller support, it does by defaut and works perfectly fine. There is a game breaking bug right at the very end, but there are some fairly easy fixes/work-arounds that can get you through it.
If you're the sort of person who enjoys this era of gaming, is forgiving of older lower budget titles, and likes the idea it's certainly not a waste of money for a dollar on sale. Though it could definately use a remake/sequel.

Задумка игры норм, но слишком малый выбор противников при такой богатой мифологии а так же мало игровых механик, можно было что то придумать с рукой чтобы не только можно было хиллится и ультовать в упор, да и со сложностью проблемы (на трудном проблемы вызывают лишь солдаты и минибоссы) за баг с лифтом я уж промолчу, + больше всего из-за высокого фпс в режиме прицеливания мышка имеет очень большую чувствительность, но при всем этом игра проходится на одном дыхании за несколько часов

8/10. I played Legendary when it first came out and just recently. I personally enjoyed it both times, It's a fun game for 2008.
The world of Legendary is a really cool concept. Watching the chaos of mythological creatures being unleashed into the world as they tear apart people and buildings in awesome and grusome detail is stunning. There's so much potential for a sequel or even a reboot. A lot could be added to the game in terms of gameplay mechanics and the story. Unfortunely the developers are no more. We can only hope another developer picks up this IP and creates another masterpiece of a game that could be.. Legendary.
It would be cool to see how Deckard continues his story and develops his powers in the next game. Would he still side with the Council of 98? Would he seek to unlock more powers and tame the unleashed creatures to fight for him? Or would he try to make things right and rebuild the world?

A wonderful game so far. I'm really surprised, got recommended this and happy I did. They don't make them like this anymore.
I haven’t played this since 2008. I remember being really fond of the game & some good memories of fighting stuff a kid finds cool like monsters and griffins etc.
Replaying it in 2025, it’s fun & I did enjoy it a lot, it’s an over the top cringy FPS that has early 2000’s essence all over it.
Not a long game & the story is well… very very forgettable, hell the actual intro cutscene that explains what is happening doesn’t play at the start of the game… it’s a separate selectable in the main menu?
Two negatives:
1. The insta death hits from certain monsters, or environment kills like the train or holes in floor etc which can send you back 10 minutes to the last check point feel more frustrating than difficult
2. The fight against the kraken was AWFUL. Like one of the worst boss fights I’ve ever played in my life my god I didn’t enjoy a second of it. The instant death slaps, the fact there is an wall in front of his mouth so your rockets constantly hit it over and over making you either miss or kill yourself, and the god awful fact when it does insta kill slap you it sends you back 5/10 minutes.
I enjoyed the first 80% but that last 20% of the game was a DRAG.
I also didn’t remember the fact our protagonist can only jump about 6 inches off the floor?
Also the ADS sensitivity is broken on controller, no matter how low you set your sensitivity for regular game the ADS speed was like 1000% higher, I played the entire playthrough using hipfire
Anyway it was a £0.59p sale price, so worth it for the nostalgia

Там ещё какой-то злой дядька есть, но я ниче не понял - по английски плохо шпрехаю, а ставить русификатор было лень.

What we have here is an overly ambitious title trying to do too much beyond the technological capabilities of its time and ultimately falling victim to its own limitations as they tried to stuff as much content into the game. If you watch the trailer the devs want you to be thoroughly impressed with "ooohhs" and "aahhhs" over the destruction the mythological creatures are causing all the while ignoring their poorly coded clunky mechanics and game breaking bugs.
The other big flop in 2008 for Spark Unlimited was Turning Point: Fall of Liberty which is so bad it's good making it a cult classic in a way, but Legendary is just so bad it's just plain bad.
The first big problem is the bland and unrelatable silent protagonist, Charles Deckard, whom is a terrible protagonist with awful facial animations and expressions which go against the tone of any scene featuring him. If the intention was to make him silent so he came across as an "everyday man" anyone could relate to and would immerse themselves into the role of the character then they failed in that regard. If that were the the case they shouldn't have given a name and a highly specific backstory instead leaving the player character a blank slate to be assumed and defined by the player.
There are a lot of bad and half baked mechanics in it that were not properly fleshed out such as the strangely awkward manner in which he flings molotov cocktails six feet in front of him and if you want to throw them further you have to look up at the sky and not the enemy in your line of sight. Grenades are a little bit better, it's just so bizarre the way they designed the molotov which barely does any damage to an enemy so it's inclusion is unnecessary. There's the boring "bypass" in which you have to press and hold a button for a certain period of time to short circuit electronic locks with keypads on certain doors - No minigame for a successful bypass, just press and hold the button making the mechanic beyond pointless.
The gunplay is not satisfying at all and probably this game's biggest downfall since it has a ton of problems with a mediocre selection of guns, you can only carry two at a time, the guns sound weak, the hit registration is barely noticeable so you're often wondering if you're even damaging enemies because guns lack impact and something like a shotgun sounds and feels like a prop gun with a paper bag as a muzzle brake. I'm being dramatic, it doesn't sound that bad, but it does feel worse than it sounds when you're blasting shells into a werewolf that is on top of you yet getting shot doesn't cause it to break pace or stun it even a little bit nor can you interrupt its attack with a shotgun blast to the face. All of the enemies have really bad hit registration even the human ones which can be shooting at you and if you start shooting at them they will continue to fire upon you despite being hit by your bullets.
I understand this game has a cult following and a fanbase more concerned with a broken mod for adding 2k textures as opposed to fixing the game like the Bloodlines 1 modding community did, but that doesn't make it a good game and a part of me wishes that Spark had given up on Legendary so they could improve upon Turning Point giving it that extra little bit of polish it needs to be a great game. This game, however, just didn't need to happen.
It works without needing a million patches and it's better than modern slop. It also works with my controller.
It has a suprising amount of enviromentail interactivity but it conrtols slow and sluggish, often times the path forward is obscure or annoying. story is not very intresting but i like the concept

Тупо самое лучшее оружие в игре, по крайней мере до момента пока не дойдёшь до первого грифона, которого я почти (вот чуть-чуть не) развалил этим самым ТОПОРОМ.
В целом игра не то чтобы шедевр или ПИС ФА ЩИТ, скорее это некий трешовый Guilty Pleasure категории Б из нулевых, который пытается казаться А. Жопич сгорел всего пару раз за всю игру.
Советую.

Legendary cuenta la historia de Charles Deckard, un ladrón con la misión de robar la Caja de Pandora pero que termina desatando inevitablemente el apocalipsis al primer minuto de juego (LOL), de hecho me sorprendió todo el caos que se desata y la manera en que te lo demuestran a lo largo del juego.
Contaremos con una suficiente variedad de armas y bastante munición, aunque el apuntado y el retroceso son algo molestos. A parte de eso tendremos el Animus que sería nuestra vida y la energía que podemos absorber de los cadáveres para curarnos o manifestar una onda expansiva.
Gráficamente no destaca mucho a excepción de algunos niveles, lo mismo con el soundtrack que en ocasiones resulta agradable, nos enfrentaremos a una facción enemiga y varios seres mitológicos que dan gusto enfrentar, además de contar con una PDA con información de enemigos, armas, objetivos, etc.
En lo personal disfrute más la segunda mitad del juego, la historia no me resultó interesante más allá de las criaturas presentadas y las armas, pero no creo que destaque mucho más de eso (el villano es bien olvidable), es uno de esos FPS normalitos del 2008 que te recomiendo comprar solo en oferta para pasar el rato disparándole a criaturas las 8-10 horas que dura en un fin de semana, en general una experiencia entretenida y a un precio regalado.
P.D. Debes ver las guías para poder descargar un parche y traducirlo al español, además de ver soluciones para algunos bugs como el del ascensor que impide seguir al final del juego, en mi caso no pasó pero tuve varios crasheos o congelaciones durante la partida.

Its campy, fun, linear, and wild. There's just as many "Michael Bay" moments as there are bad animations making things funny. Buy this to enjoy and experience a different era of gaming. Do not buy this expecting some polished AAA gem. This is the B movie of videogames in the 2000s

everybody is s-h-i-t-t-i-n-g on this game and bla bla. yeah, it´s got his many flaws but you know what? it also does a lot of things right and the most important thing of all: i am having a good time playing it. man, i miss this kind of games. especially this kind of fps games. where i can immerse myself in a b-movie story with great atmosphere and and fantasy. i got it for 70 f-u-c-k-i-n-g cents on sale. 70 cents. i could buy 100 games like this before i buy a AAA slop horses-h-i-t. absolutely recommend this one if you like old school first person shooters. dont expect to much, turn your brain off and have some good old shooty shooty fun. :)
It's ok, pretty decent weapons although not very much imagination there. Graphics are decent for ue3 but there were alot better games even for the time. Biggest issue is the checkpoints and the terrible platforming. They give you a horrible jump, and then except you to do platforming puzzles.

I really enjoyed the game at first and loved the idea of it but it fails in game mechanics, story, and just working properly which makes me have to give it a bad review. There is a good game under the ♥♥♥♥ but the back half of the game is actually terrible to play. Don't forget that you can be a game breaking glitch where you can fall under the LAST elevator and have to go in and YOU must fix the game instead of the developer doing it like they should

I played this years ago and it was a janky broken mess. Seems like it's actually playable without falling through the ground and everything now. Gunplay is boring due to how little enemies react to being shot. There are some cool enemy designs and there's a sheer ridiculousness to the game that's a bit charming.
But... Ehh.. It's not really fun for me. Levels are very linear where you need to kill all of the enemies before a new path opens up. Aiming down your sights feels ridiculous due to how large the guns become. Enemy AI gets stuck in random places at times, and you can jump a whole 2 inches.

A pretty cool and nice game. It had a few problems here and there, like frame drops suddenly, high sensitivity when you ADS (aim down sight), like no matter how much you lower the actual sensitivity, that will remain the same and the game is not jumping friendly at all. You barely jump over things that game allow you to jump... but except for those, game is freakin good even this days.
NOTE: At the last mission "Endings & Betrayals" use some program to limit the FPS to 60, or you'll never pass the elevator part. Without the FPS limited to 60, as soon as you start the elevator, you'll fall thru it.

Nie jestem w pełni pewien czemu tak nagle postanowiłem to kupić; chociaż gra jest wyjątkowo przyjemna jako zwyczajny oldschoolowy shooter, to przydałoby się kilka patchy, których ta gra pewnie nie dostanie patrząc na datę premiery.
Podstawowy core rozgrywki jest naprawdę fajny - szybka strzelanina z w miarę sporą ilością przeciwników, gdzie jednocześnie walka potrafi być wymagająca bez jakiejś frustracji. Do tego klimat jest po prostu dobry; granie w coś starszego daje dziwną satysfakcję samą w sobie, którą ciężko wytłumaczyć. Design poziomów jest nieźle zróżnicowany, a ilość destrukcji jaka dzieje się na ekranie w czasie rzeczywistym jest szczerze godna podziwu patrząc ponownie na datę wydania. Generalnie cena jest też wyjątkowo normalna... chociaż nawet przy tym gra jest zbyt krótka; cała fabuła to dosłownie 4 poziomy.
Przez tą krótkość właśnie nie ma zbyt wielu przeciwników, ale są bardzo dobrze zróżnicowane do stopnia, że od razu stają się głównym motorem napędowym rozgrywki i potrafią zaskoczyć, bo AI jest wyjątkowo zbalansowane:
• Są tutaj Wilkołaki, które najczęściej będą nas naskakiwać: wyjątkowo zwinne i szybkie, mimo że niezbyt wytrzymałe to często ciężko je trafić, a czasami uciekają, by zaskoczyć nas nagłym atakiem. Walka z taką grupą może być lekko wymagająca, ale równocześnie wciągająca. Co mnie też trochę rozwala to fakt, że gra z 2008 roku ma o wiele lepszy design Wilkołaków, niż to co dostajemy ostatnimi czasy. Niektórzy devowie mogli by się od nich uczyć jak powinni robić się postacie.
• Ciekawe są również te Nari - takie małe latające pieroństwa, które opętują przedmioty by nawalać z dystansu. Łatwo wykończyć, ale potrafią nakładać na siebie efekt, który niweluje obrażenia, więc musimy odwracać się lub udawać, że jesteśmy bezbronni żeby one same opuściły gardę. Bardzo dobry mix, który urozmaica walkę.
Nie chce przechodzić przez wszystkie, więc wspomnę jeszcze, że są ludzcy przeciwnicy. Mamy możliwość healowanie się, ale wyłącznie z bestii i potworów, więc kontakt z uzbrojonymi przeciwnikami nakłania do bardziej taktycznego podejścia, bo takie typy zadają spory damage.
Więc generalnie rozgrywka na plus, ale technicznie trochę średnia - nasza postać ledwo odrywa się od ziemi po skoku, więc czasami łatwo utknąć na czymś i jeszcze ten dziwny błąd z windą na końcu gry, gdzie jeśli ją odpalicie to spadniecie pod mapę. Jest cały guide jak to naprawić, ale i tak skrótowo powiem, że trzeba wejść w systemowe pliki konfiguracji gry i zmniejszyć ilość klatek do: 30, wtedy winda zadziała normalnie.
Generalnie dobry pomysł z dobrym designem, ale dość średnim wykonaniem. Moja ocena to 7/10. Mimo niskiej ceny nadal polecam, ale na przecenie.
I'm all about old janky FPS games but this one I couldn't do. Linear to a fault but the one route seemed always elusive, narrow FOV and terrible movement (with lag) yet the game loves platforming sections. Crazy slow melee and weapon usage yet the enemies are fast bullet sponges that have almost no feedback when shooting them. Auto save spots that are way to spread out. Basically commits every B game sin with no real reward.
FWIW I have played through (and mostly enjoyed) the entire City Interactive catalog so that should tell you what I am willing to put up with ;)
legendary me parecio un juego muy bueno pero peca de ser un juego que te lo puedes pasar en unos dias pero en mi caso tarde casi 1 mes en pasarlo "mes pasado" debido a la universidad, y sumemosle que el juego esta completamente en ingles y tienes que buscar por ahi los archivos para poder ponerlo full español (voces y textos), algo recastable esto es que lo consegui en oferta a un buen precio (2025 antes del inpuesto pendejo).

Отличная игра. Не 10/10 на кончиках пальцев, но довольно хороший средний шутер, основная проблема которого только то, что он 100% консольный, из-за чего возникают совсем потешные препятствия. Другое дело, что потеряться в игре невозможно, это коридорный шутан без альтернативных путей с единицами головоломок. Стреляться в монстров понравилось, брызги непонятной жижи из них сделаны прям с любовью и наблюдать за этим очень приятно. Сюжет простой и в нем ничего нет интересного, кроме отсылок на популярную эзотерику 20ого века, на которой не делают акцента, из-за чего не обращается внимания, что главный злодей носит фамилию основателя одной из веток сатанизма ЛаФея, что призывается именно голем и грифоны и всякое такое прочее. Музыка отличная, получились гитарные запилы в стиле серии игр "метро" и фильма "мертвец", что отлично ложится на происходящее. А еще Лондон уничтожили по сюжету, это прекрасно.
На мой взгляд проблемы две. Это чувствительность мышки, которую как только не ставь все равно получится неудобно, и отстутствие ручных сохранений. Последнее может исправить любое негативное мнение об игре. В остальном игра хороша, неплохой шутерок на вечер-два, по скидке самое то брать.

Шутер от 1 лица в категории средних игр, у неё много нюансов, но и плюсов своих хватает. Подправили бы игру разрабы и было бы неплохо, игру за фулпрайс бы не взял, а 28 рублей оказалось недурно, даже был удивлён и прошёл залпом. Игру я рекомендую тем, кто любит шутеры и тем, кто не тратить много времени на игру. Самая сладкая часть игры - саундтрек, который вбивается в атмосферу игры очень чётко, альтернативщина тех лет прям супер. Шутерная составляющая игры сделана хорошо, пострелушки ощущались хорошо, оружий немного, но по своему хороши от пистолетов до гранатомёта.

Gostei muito de jogar Legendary (2008). É um daqueles jogos que não fizeram tanto sucesso na época, mas, sinceramente, mereciam muito mais reconhecimento. O enredo é envolvente, a atmosfera é única e a jogabilidade tem um charme que muitos títulos modernos perderam. Um clássico subestimado, com mecânicas e ideias que ainda impressionam mesmo hoje.
I just want to mention, I’ve logged 38 hours into Legendary on Xbox 360, and honestly, I’ve played it WAY too many times, but I don’t regret any of the time. As a child, I didn't understand why I loved this game, but here I am, many years later, and it’s evident the truth is, I am a sucker for hardcore FPS shooting action, and Legendary scratches that itch.
The first hour? Pure chaos. The game immediately begins throwing insanity at you, with people dying left and right when Pandora’s Box is opened. It’s brutal, cinematic and sets the tone perfectly. The game lives up to the name with that post-apocalyptic feeling.
Even now, it still holds up surprisingly well. Yes the game can be unforgiving when fighting mainly against foes armed with superior weaponry. It's almost funny how quickly your health meter can drop from bullets rather than the mythical characters. But sometimes that's the fun of it.
If you're a fan of gritty, high stakes shooters with the mythological twist, Legendary deserves a second run. It's flawed, but worthwhile. [spoiler] Fun Fact I just found out that I can add spoiler text [/spoiler]
I bought this game because I recently went and looked through my old xbox achievements from the 360 days and found a few games that I remembered slightly, but had completely forgotten about. Legendary was one of those games, and as it was one sale for a whole 75 cents after tax I decided to purchase it and do another playthrough.
The beginning of the game is awesome, with various mythical creatures tearing NYC apart while you run through the streets. The music in this game also BANGS and really heightened the experience. Unfortunately, after that it becomes pretty mediocre, but still playable. A basic shooter with basic weapons and basic human enemies with the occasional cool creature thrown in. Forgettable but decent enough.
Then you get to two bosses at the latter half of the game that are both so horrendously designed and hair-pullingly frustrating that I am not surprised that the game flopped and the developer went out of business. Frankly, they deserved it. What they created is an affront to any loving God that could possibly exist and is the perfect example of what people should NOT do with their free will.
The dual minotaur boss was slightly less of a spit in the face, so lets begin there. The boss also spawns in about a dozen human enemies that relentlessly shoot at you while you're trying to run in a circle away from these enormous pissed off cows. The gunmen will shred through you, so ignoring them is not an option. But the minotaurs constantly chase you and will attempt to pin you in a corner and knock the ♥♥♥♥ out of you like Rocky, so you can't focus on the gunmen. I ended up beating this encounter by standing in the doorway of the boss room, enough to spawn the human enemies but not the minotaurs, then stood there and waited for a few minutes for the enemies brain dead ai to send them to me one at a time like chickens to the slaughter before easily handling the two burgers once the coast was clear.
The dual minotaurs may have been a bad boss. But compared to the kraken, they are the pinnacle of game design. The kraken is truly one of the worst bosses that I have ever fought against in any video game, ever. It's that bad, and I am someone in their 30s who has been gaming their entire life. In order to fight the kraken, you have to use the rocket launcher. However, when the rocket launcher is out, you move more slowly than my 87 year old grandma with two hip replacements and advanced arthritis. So every time that you want to move around you need to switch from your rocket launcher to another gun, then move to your location, then switch back to the rocket launcher. But this process has a delay, so if you need to move quickly, too bad! I also found that tryning to switch weapons and then sprint would often lead to my sprint input being eaten, resulting in me being one shot killed.
So to damage the boss you need to pull out the rocket launcher, fire it at one of the krakens tentacle eyes, reload as fast as you can, hope that the actually registers as a hit as about 50% of the locked on shots will still miss or simply not cause the kraken to open its mouth, then fire a second shot into the krakens open mouth to damage it. Oh, but I forgot to mention two little details.... 1 - there is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2 foot high wall around the edge of the rooftop you are on that IS TALL ENOUGH TO BLOCK YOUR ROCKET SHOTS AT THE KRAKENS MOUTH. Meaning that you have to be in certain places where the wall is low enough to even hit the kraken, and notably those places are not next to the additional ammo, so you'll need to run back and forth multiple times during this fight. On top of that, the Kraken is constantly swinging its tentacles around and they can one shot you with ease! Better hope that you don't have the rocket launcher out when it swings, because by that point it's too late and you're starting from the beginning!
I am shocked at how badly these two fights were designed. The rest of the game was the definition of average, but these two were a masterclass in horrible boss fights. Only bother buying this game if it's on sale for under a buck, the beginning and sound track is worth that much. Ok, time to wrap up my playthrough and forget about this game once more.
Edit: beat the game and the final area/"boss" is also garbage with a repeat of the double minotaur bosses and then random spectral werewolves right at the end that you better hope you have some left over energy for. overall, probably a 3.5/10 for the fun idea, great intro, and awesome music

Legendary is a mixed bag at best, you can tell the developer's put alot in but maybe it went over budget or was pushed out too quickly, and it shows. It’s a standard shooter mechanically but its mythological enemies and story are genuinely unique ideas that help it stand out. For the most part, the combat is serviceable and even fun at times. Unfortunately, that’s where the praise ends. The game’s biggest downfall is its absurdly unbalanced gameplay paired with AI that’s dumb as a brick. What could have been a hidden gem quickly spirals into a frustrating mess. The checkpoint system is another disaster poorly placed and thought out, it adds unnecessary punishment to already uneven encounters. And then there’s the final boss fight Legendary’s ultimate cardinal sin. After slogging through an unbalanced fight, the game suddenly throws spectral werewolves at you that can only be hurt using your “push” ability. If you happen to be out of energy, you’re completely helpless left to watch as you’re torn apart with no way to fight back. It’s less of a climactic battle and more of a giant middle finger from the developers. I rarely quit games out of frustration, but Legendary managed to accomplish that. While the ride has its entertaining moments, the sheer imbalance, poor design choices, and infuriating final boss make it impossible to recommend. By the end, the only satisfaction you’ll feel is the urge to tell the developers exactly what you think of that cruel, padded, and downright broken finale.

It is okay for what it is, brain rot shooter slop, essentially. The camera is slow (even with the sensitivity up), the visuals aren't exactly quality, and the game loop is repetitive. There's not a huge variety of enemies. They reuse the Minotaur like 3 times, the Griffons are also recurring endgame sub-bosses, and while the whole "I have mystical force powers" is a neat idea, I feel like that mechanic did not quite live up to its potential. if you have 7 hours to burn and want to waste some time, play a better game. Legendary gets a 4/10 from me.
Solid game. Not mind blowing, but not bad. And it's hard to hate a game that lets you decapitate werewolves with a fire axe.
Game with good concept and great potential but seems the development was limited, the story with mythological creatures is interesting which can have many mythological creature enemies across all mythology, but the game has very few creatures and mostly only werewolf as main enemy, I was expecting medusa, dragons etc, and also the game ends with cliffhanger.
Anyway this game has potential if they remake it in latest unreal engine where levels are redesigned with more variety of new mythical enemies being added.

This chaotic tone continues as entire cities are torn apart by waves of legendary beasts—minotaurs tearing through city blocks, werewolves stalking dark alleys, and even a kraken looming over a storm-wracked London. The developers clearly wanted to channel a high-concept, spectacle-driven experience reminiscent of a summer blockbuster. And at times, especially in the large-scale set pieces, they come close. Unfortunately, these moments are few and far between, and the connective tissue between them is marred by dated visuals, frustrating level design, and unrefined mechanics.
Built on Unreal Engine 3, the game looks surprisingly rough even by 2008 standards. The environments are overly dark, murky, and bland, and character models are stiff and lifeless. Texture pop-in, jagged edges, and clipping issues abound. What should be awe-inspiring encounters with mythological creatures often fall flat due to weak animations and poor visual feedback. The HUD is cluttered, explosions lack impact, and the destruction—while occasionally impressive—lacks the dynamism seen in other games from the same era. Cutscenes fare even worse, relying on static images with voiceovers instead of real-time rendering. It’s hard to feel immersed when the game constantly reminds you of its limitations.
Gameplay is a mix of first-person shooting, light puzzle-solving, and scripted monster encounters. Deckard's arsenal includes modern weapons like pistols, assault rifles, and rocket launchers, as well as a fire axe for close-quarters combat. While the weapon variety is serviceable, none of them feel particularly satisfying to use. The gunplay is loose and imprecise, lacking the punch or fluidity expected from a competent FPS. Enemies—especially human ones—are bullet sponges, and the aiming feels sluggish. The axe, which could have provided a brutal melee option, is awkward and unreliable, often requiring multiple swings to take down even the weakest enemies. Combat with mythical creatures is more engaging, but inconsistent AI and predictable attack patterns sap them of any real challenge.
One of the game’s few unique ideas is the Animus energy system. After defeating a creature, Deckard can absorb their life force to heal himself or activate environmental objects. Later, he gains powers like force-pushing enemies or unleashing energy blasts, but these abilities are underutilized. The game rarely requires you to think creatively or strategically about how to use your powers—most of the time, it’s simply a matter of blasting through waves of enemies, healing when you’re low, and moving to the next area. It’s a shame, because there was potential here for a more inventive, power-based combat system that could have elevated the experience beyond basic gunplay.
The level design is another point of contention. Linear corridors, repetitive office buildings, and ruined streets dominate the landscape, and the environments rarely offer anything in the way of exploration or variety. There are moments where you glimpse the scope the developers were aiming for—like a battle on a collapsing bridge or a firefight amidst crumbling skyscrapers—but most levels are cramped and uninspired. Progression often relies on trigger-based scripting, meaning you’ll regularly find yourself backtracking or stuck waiting for an NPC to open a door or for a monster to break through a wall. These pacing issues interrupt the flow of the game and often turn what should be exciting sequences into frustrating slogs.
The narrative itself is paper-thin, relying heavily on exposition dumps, clichéd dialogue, and underdeveloped characters. Deckard is a blank slate of a protagonist, and the supporting cast—shadowy organizations, generic military commanders, and a mysterious woman who knows more than she lets on—are all straight out of the bargain bin. The plot revolves around a conflict between two secret groups vying for control of Pandora’s Box, but it never becomes compelling. The world-ending stakes are never truly felt, and the story lacks emotional depth or character-driven moments. The few attempts at plot twists are predictable, and the game ends with a whimper rather than a bang.
Multiplayer is present but almost entirely forgettable. It features standard deathmatch and team-based modes with a twist: mythical creatures roam the maps, attacking both teams indiscriminately. It’s a clever idea in theory, adding chaos and unpredictability to matches. However, in practice, the mode is hampered by clunky mechanics and a lack of balance. Servers are now long-dead, and even at launch, the player base was sparse. Without a strong online community or compelling progression system, the multiplayer fails to extend the game’s lifespan in any meaningful way.
Despite all of its flaws, Legendary is not entirely without merit. The core idea—bringing mythical creatures into a modern-day setting and letting players fight them in bombed-out cities—is still compelling. There’s a certain campy charm to the game’s over-the-top premise, and some of the creature designs, particularly the werewolves and the kraken, show real imagination. If nothing else, it’s refreshing to see a shooter attempt something different, even if it stumbles in the execution.
Ultimately, Legendary is a case of wasted potential. It’s a game built around a strong concept that’s undermined at nearly every turn by technical shortcomings, uninspired gameplay, and lackluster storytelling. It feels like a rushed product, one that aimed high but lacked the time, budget, or experience to reach its goals. For fans of mythology or monster-centric shooters, it might be worth a look purely out of curiosity or nostalgia. But for most players, Legendary is more likely to be remembered for what it could have been rather than what it actually is—a fleeting, messy, and ultimately forgettable entry in the FPS genre.

Legendary is a good game, only had one game brakeing bug at the very end but i was able to fix it by going into the games files and seting the fps to 30

What do you get when you try your best to make a game that surpasses the mainstream 1st person shooters like COD, Halo, and Battle Field... Well, you definitely are not going to get this game!
Legendary is your old school 2000's 1st person shooter with the concept of monsters coming out of Pandora's Box. You play as the guy who was tricked to steal and open the box and now have to find a way of escaping the chaos and possibly setting things right.
The graphics for this game (Back then) were pretty good. The issue that most people will say is how drab it looks. In my opinion, that was actually the point. Chaos was released and everything is pouring out. I saw the trailers and I understood that it was not a game that was intended to look like a rainbow of cheeriness. The variety of creatures is good and has a mix of mythology and humans.
Music wise, the game does a great job as well with execution. You are not going to get a fully orchestrated music score. You get a style that feeds from the atmosphere yet does not get annoying like many other games that repeat music.
Looking at the game-play. You have these state of the art super gimmicky tricks for doing every minute attack while dodging creatures that have only 1 weak spot. No, and no again! Like mentioned above, this is your classic style shooter that has a limited variety of weapons and a simplistic style of shooting. This is one of those shooters that is not intended for multiplayer (even though it has it) and focuses on story.
If you are trying to make a comparison with this game, I would say it is like F.E.A.R., as it focuses on the story and is a 1st person shooter. Now A.I. is not in any way like that game nor is the graphics. It was a really good story-line 1st person shooter. Well, before the second and third game turned it into your generic shooter! But that is a different game and their own reviews.
If you are after a nice game with a different type of story other than your big underground organization is trying to rule the world. Pick this game up. It may look like a cheesy game. Rest assured, that it will be an interesting ride especially at the $6 price tag when not on sale.
This is one of those hidden gems that if given a remake or HD conversion with some needed tweaks would definitely stand out. Honestly, if SquareEnix did the visuals for this game, it would be the most spectacular looking 1st person shooter with monsters and half the bad reviews would go away. But alas Spark Unlimited made it.

Had a good time going back playing this game since the last time I did was in high school, its definitely has its charm but whether you enjoy it or not is up to you.
its a good game considering the year it was made and i would say worth the price only bad thing about it is the game breaking bug at the end of the last level but people have made guides to fix that.
Jugándolo en 2025, tiene problemillas, aparte de los gráficos, como que el salto está porque tiene que estar pero no sirve de nada, la poca variedad de enemigos, y que solo se puede salvar por checkpoints que a veces te obligan a repetir trozos larguísimos y tragarte mil veces una cinemática que no se puede saltar. Aun así, la historia está bastante currada y el juego te incita a seguir adelante para ver el final (que indica que pensaban en una segunda parte). Es un juego que se merece una oportunidad. Además, corre en una patata.
