so its fun and all but it has some glitches the bigest one ist that i cant sprint no more ive tried everything but it still wont let me sprint ive tried the setting restaring my game but it wont let me sprint
When i first got this game, it was in it's baby stages, it had potential and I chose to invest and wait and see what they produce through updates. I remember them saying they're keen to know about ways to improve the game etc... so i waited... and waited... and STILL the game is quite buggy and difficult to play unfortunately. The 80s vibe is great but I was hoping for MORE. I'd have been happy paying for expansions etc if the money was the issue. Huge shame really as I loved playing this game.
It also begs the question - why would I buy any of your other games if you've already broken people's trust?? :/

ПС. По назві студії видно, що гра можливо має відношення до білорусі, але я ніц знайти не зміг, окрім того що головний розробник має якесь коріння між поляками, білуросами і українцями і з дитинства живе в британії.
I love this game. I can genuinely say this is one of my all time favourite game experiences.
This is a game made by somebody with passion and a clear vision. There are some really clever, well thought out mechanics, such as looking down at your tool belt to select tools, or the way construction works. It feels like you're actually building, rather than placing pre-fabricated pieces. You buy the tools and materials, then piece by piece, create something unique. By nailing individual planks or laying individual bricks you can truly build your own home. Just don't do that first, because it is slow and you'll need money! I would love to see these creative mechanics featured in other games.
The thing that really shines in this game is the impeccable commitment to the setting: 1980's Britain, Thatcher and all. There are a million spooky forests and neon drenched cities in gaming, but I have never seen the Midlands realised so beautifully (and bleakly!).
This is further brought to life by the nods to working class media, peppered with references to This Is England, Only Fools and Horses and Eastenders, to name a few. These little details invoke the larger social landscape of the UK at this time, making the quiet game world surprisingly rich.
I was particularly struck by the changing of seasons. I did not know this would happen, and when snow settled around my caravan, forcing me to trudge silently to the pub for another shift, I was instantly transported to memories of doing the same walk to work; the same silence, the same emptiness. I have truly never had that feeling so accurately invoked by a game and am forever thankful for the developers for making that experience possible.
The game is hard work; it can be fiddley, opaque and repetitive. I scratched my head frequently trying to work out how to use a specific tool or what exactly I was supposed to be doing at any given moment. It's slow, not something to be rushed, but because of that time and that effort, it feels all the more rewarding when progress is made.
Ultimately, it was the kind of game I came away from feeling as though I had 'lived' in it. I didn't get a high score to brag about, or some killer moment to replay, but for a short time I got to live another life. A life of hard graft and pints of Landlord's Super in The Anchor, a life of running a wheelbarrow through the rain and wondering how warm my Caravan would be to sleep in when there's a foot of snow outside.
This can be a difficult game to get into but is well worth persevering for the experience and rewarding mechanics. I can understand why some reviewers have been disappointed: I came away just wanting more. Another catalogue, another property, more tenants, more town, more junk, more jobs, my own car.
I'd have liked to live in Sheffingham for a few days more.

Wish I could recommend this, I think there is a decent amount of charm here and I think there is fun in scraping by to fix up houses but... after awhile there just is not much to do, you're repeating the same 3 jobs and the novelty of wanting to make the money to progress just wears off when a lot of what you're doing is just waiting around.

I bought this at launch and very little changed since, a fun game with passion put in - don't get me wrong.
But very unfinished & was abandoned a couple years ago, very unbalanced & tedious at times and was in desperate need of QoL since launch (which was neglected)

I really wanted to like this but it just has too many issues to suggest anyone else spend their money on it.
There is actually a lot of that handcrafted charm here with fun and interesting details like setting up a TV and then being able to watch real weather reports. Fun things like the cassette player and getting tapes to listen to music (At least at first) What you eat and consume has real affects on your character, Giving away a job to someone else unlocks them being your own delivery driver. The inventory and tool belt mechanic are cool and immersive. The game had love put into it and I can't fault it and call it a lazy cash grab or anything, but there is just too much that makes it frustrating.
Tons of odd bugs like getting stuck in the attic of my rental property, and waiting until I pass out so I can respawn and get out, getting a job to repair a wall that I already repaired and can't seem to be able to repair a second time and then softlocking jobs after that point (Which has brought my progress to a crawl)
The Wheelbarrow is a nightmare trying to load and get items to stay put. It constantly just drops items like they are all of a sudden no longer in the wheelbarrow inventory or something. You can't leave anything in the wheelbarrow as the next time you come to it and move it, all the items will stay put floating in the air. You can pick up multiple bricks or building materials at a time....unless they are in the wheelbarrow because for whatever reason once something is in there you can only pick up one a time which is just dumb and annoying.
Placing bricks is quite a learning curve because there are all kinds of odd behaviors you'll run into that are annoying and makes building take longer cause you're trying to figure out how to make it work despite itself.
All the jobs except one don't actually pay you but instead give you some kind of item that for me ended up being mostly cassette tapes. Like yeah I just spent all day building your roof, thanks for the 25 cent mix tape you made yourself. The tapes and music are cool but the fact that you get those instead of payment is stupid and pointlessly adds to the grindyness of the game.
You "steal" building materials early on because it's the only way you can actually make timely progress on your house considering your money intake is all state funded welfare and it would take multiple in game days to get enough cash to complete a single step of the renovation process. Only later to find out any materials you found and stole end up being for jobs you get later. So you end up kind of sort of having to backtrack to buy all the materials you stole to complete those jobs, THAT YOU DON'T GET PAID FOR. It makes the game that much more grindy and most importantly...
really really boring.
The premise of the game makes no sense which is kind of important for a life sim style game that really needs to bank on the immersion. You take a huge loan for this property knowing full well you will now be living off welfare checks to fund it. Like that is not how life works lol. No one in the history of mankind has taken a massive loan to buy and fix up a rental property and is planning to fund that renovation by washing dishes and getting your State welfare benefits lol. I wish it did work that way though I'd go on welfare right now if I knew I would be getting enough to start a real estate rental business with it lmao.
Selling scrap is honestly the only good way to get money until you realize there are only about 75 dollars of decent scrap to sell on the entire map. Everything else you can find and scrap are only getting you 0.25 cents at a time. So in my case I just gathered any scrap worth more than a buck and haven't bothered with it since then because it takes forever to collect and transport all that stuff and having a wheelbarrow full of 0.25 cent items isn't doing you any good.
All of this ends up leading to a really boring and grindy game.
I wish this game had more funding and more time in the oven because the atmosphere and foundation are all there it just seems like none of the details got refined and worked out.
So, because of that I suggest you just pass on this one.
Nothing like getting home from my tradee job just to labor as a tradee virtually. Absolute scrumptious game, I loved the challenge and progression and see the vision in its entirety. I love these devs, this and Jalopy are both experiences I 100% recommend if your not a prune. I hope that one day I can play out the rest of the creators vision on either but more particularly Landlord's Super since it has so much more to offer but is cut short (Jalopy's story ends but I'm still upset with uncle). But no matter what it was a good time, much love Minskworks
El juego persé como de construcción esta bien, aunque tiene sus bugs, es un juego entretenido en el que mola reconstruir la casa con tus chapucitas. El problema que se queda muy corto, en especial cuando has terminado de rehacer la casa y la pones en alquiler, pues con lo que te da alquiler y tu curro como limpiaplatos, no vas a poder terminar de pagar en la vida. Y lo peor que llegas en nada a un punto muerto que tus dias son: Levantarte, pedir el alquiler, hacer tiempo, currar hasta la noche y pagar una centésima parte tu deuda. Ya que por otro lado, solo hay 3 trabajos secundarios posibles, que tras hacerlo dos veces, ya no vuelves a tenerlo. Eso y que los npcs no aportan más allá de 3 frases prefijadas.
Una pena, porque la ambientación esta muy bien hecha y tiene gran potencial, pero se queda a medias, como una demo de un proyecto mas grande que nunca terminó de realizarse.

Long: The first thing to say it that the game isn't being updated any which sucks quite a bit. The game also isn't that long and any replayability gets stale around 20 hours of gameplay (which is ok for a game of it's price). This becomes a bit of a problem after you have finished your first house as once you have done that there is very little to do. It is also irritating that the game only runs off one save so you can't create another save slot to build a new house in.
The Building: At heart this game is a building simulator so I think it deserves to be talked about. The
structural side of building in this game is brilliant. The cement mixing, the filling, the putting up of
exterior and interior walls, bricklaying and plastering are all great and realistic. I have only praises for
that side of construction (apart from the fact it can get a bit tedious for larger builds). However,
decorating is not as great, the variety is not great (even once you've unlocked all 3 furniture
catalogues and spamming the same items all over the house is not fun at all. If you are more into the
interior decorating side of construction I would not recommend this game.
The World: For the first 5 hours of the game the world feels great, exploring for scrap, interacting with
with the NPC's around town, going to the pub and getting hammered, doing the odd-jobs in the
benefit centre all feel great, but after those 5 hours there is literally nothing to do there.
The Graphics: The graphics in this game fit really well, they add to the 80s feel of the game
The Economy: The economy is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the only way to actually afford building a house is just
to keep using the slot machine over and over
The bugs: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is buggy, ive got softlocked twice and have had to restart, stuff in my
house just disappearing, stuff glitching into the floor. It's a mess. If you are going to get the game
(which I would still recommend) make sure you back up your save elsewhere every once in a while
because the game can just ♥♥♥♥ you over sometimes.
In conclusion, if you push through the negatives this game guarantees around 20-30 hours of playtime. I would only purchase if on sale (for at least 50% though)

This game was entertaining for a bit. It had some issues, and does not seem complete. I wish it had more to it.
It was difficult to figure out. I had fun with it for a while. Then it kind of got old.
I think the biggest flaw is you are limited to one house. I do not have much else to say. I really hope there are better games from this developer in the future.

Its a game with 80s charm/atmosphere but does have a lot of bugs which mean that construction work is looooooonnnnng!! it could be fun without all the flaws and confusing game play . Plus it does feel a lot like work in the realistic british weather!

Actually this game is the best! But needs some update like regenerate scraps(like frigde, chair etc.). And need new missions maybe better tutorial because im looking always the internet. I got it this game is little bit hard and i like it but we can find the solution in the game :) Thanks devs! And i like your style!
at this price, yes. this game is phenominal, if not a bit buggy.
while i wouldn't say it is worthy of full price by any means- it's been abandoned due to low sales, and while building is very in-depth and the world is very immersive- it's not got much else outside of that. certainly feels early access still, but i understand the developer's choice to discontinue it. would love to see it pop up again if/when honcho picks up some steam.

EASY GAME
I liked the idea of repairing a house, but you appear to need to grind out money to do so and the jobs so far haven't been fun. Also hate just having to cart ♥♥♥♥ around. I might not have given the game enough of a go but it didn't draw me in.
I really wish I could give this game a positive review. The vibes are immaculate; it's a pitch perfect pastiche of Thatcherite Britain and working class England in general. The characters are full of tons of personality conveyed in a minimum of words, and the way the characters vocalise is charming. The music is genuinely very good, not just "good for an indie video game". It's great fun sinking piss and smoking darts, and the general house-building gameplay is satisfying.
But for a full release game, it's unbelievably buggy - the jobs you do for locals frequently seem to softlock, I was constantly destroying items from weird collision physics, and getting stuck because what the game chooses to tutorialise can be a bit random.
And there's precious little to do. There doesn't feel like a tuned progression curve or economy, and instead there's long stretches where you just don't have the money to do the next bit of the critical path and you're stuck in an endless loop of making ten quid at a time washing dishes trying to afford a bit of furniture. Is this drudgery an authentic bit of roleplay of the life of a down-on-their-luck bloke in the north in the 80s? Maybe, but the lack of variety or engaging gameplay makes it a tough sell. I suspect the game opens up a bit once you've built the first house and there's regular income coming in, but I'll never know because of how tough the slog to get there is.
If some of this stuff gets ironed out I'd love to come back and try again but as is it's hard

Game is perfectly cromulent, I completed it 100% and the closest thing I had to a bug was some janky physics. It is a little obtuse, so if you are struggling to figure how certain things work, it's worth taking a brief glimpse at a guide, though all the information you need is there in the game if you pay attention and look for it. If this looks like your jam, you could easily lose hours just laying bricks.
Initial impression was very good. The house building was fun and interesting, though limited and buggy in some ways. (Not sure whether the bugginess is from actual bugs or cause certain mechanics don't work the way you expect. Like using mortar and bricks.) Also liked the art style and look of the game. The problem was around the time that you get tenants, the game loses all it's steam and then it feels kind of pointless and repetitive. (Especially if you realize it makes more sense to sell the property and buy a cheaper property to get out of debt.) It feels like this game is half finished, like there should be more to it, especially for the full price. Given the end message about social housing historically, it feels like they meant to say more with this game but just didn't reach that level. I think there also should have been more story to the characters in the town too, something related to the passage of time. Like the passage of time affecting some things was interesting, but I don't really get the point of it, feels like there should have been more to that. Just feels like there should have been more to this game, so it's a bit disappointing after a certain point. Best to get on deal, and only if you just like the mechanics of building houses in games, but not more than that.

My first impression of this game was very similar to Jalopy. A great premise, a ton of potential, but abandoned before it's complete in a state that would be tolerable for early access. Only then I found out it was made by the same devs.
I'm an hour in and still dont have the foundation for my house done. I see a lot of potential for this game so i wanted to leave some constructive critisism and suggesstions for how to improve. I do thing the instructions need to be more clear, i do think earning money needs to be at a faster pace, if someone wants to play for the construction and management aspects, they can quickly be thrown off due to the slow pace of earning to buy tools. The carrying aspect also is rough due to the trip to your house taking 1.5 minutes to arrive, so i think a wheelbarrow to carry around, or carrying two items, or house being closer to the town may help as well. I cant wait to see the progress of this game, and hope the devs are still active and upgrading as we speak.

It is currently on sale right now for 1.99. If you're thinking of buying it, buy it now. If you're reading this while it's 20 dollars, save yourself the trouble and don't even consider wasting your money. It is insanely buggy and requires restart after restart after restart. You can't play either above or below 60 FPS because of bugs with the physics engine, which in my experience mostly involves the pallet truck. This game is very obviously an abandoned passion project; a sad, abandoned child of parents who lost interest in their little baby. It's this very fact that makes the game so tragic for me. I first played this game in 2021 expecting so much. More properties, a bigger map, more jobs. I came back to this game in 2025 to find it a half-assed mess with marginal bug fixes and new features (like hunger) implemented like they were just trying to say "Hey, we hit another mark on our roadmap! Buy our game now!"
This isn't to say that the gameplay isn't great. It's an amazing way to pass the time, mindlessly placing bricks or slathering no-fines concrete or nailing plasterboard. This is where this game excels. But the "atmosphere" that the game tries to shove down your throat in an effort to make you care about *whatever* message they were sending before the devs gave up, the statements about 80s Britain that the developers don't even care about anymore, the constant constraints like calories, bladder, money, just detract so much gameplay from the game itself that it just seems so utterly stupid. I genuinely loved this game, and I still love it, but god is it such an utter landfill of wasted potential.

I got it for 2€, and I'm very happy with what I have for that price. By the developers own admission, the game was not a great commercial success. This makes me sad, because I think it is such a great and unique idea for a game. If it had been more commercially successful there's a chance it would be more expansive.
If you're into any "♥♥♥♥ life simulator" games such as My Summer Car, Obenseuer, Slaverian Trucker, and the like, then you will get a kick out of this game. It is fairly narrow in scope, the only real gameplay loop is building things, but the building system itself is one-of-a-kind and complex enough to keep me interested.

A construction and life simulation game taking place during the 1980s UK economic recession where you're trying to get a job, fix up a house on your uncle's land, and pay off your mortgage. The construction gameplay is detailed and zen-like, but most importantly every single aspect of this game is absolutely charming, and I enjoy playing simply to immerse myself in it's amazing presentation. Landlord's Super succeeds in capturing a zeitgeist, which I think makes it unique.

sadly the game is not very popular but its the best game i played in a while if you like construction this is the best game even if it still has a lot of bugs i still rate it 10/10
the game itself is good, worthy of sinking hours in it because of the gameplay loops and very addictive gameplay
however, the game has a lot of bugs, some of them are easy to fix and some can't be fixed at all (atleast in my experience)

A little cozy building sim that eases you in with a bungalow to do up, rent out and then left to your own whims.
From foundations to roofing the simulated construction is deep but satisfying, although can be a tad janky with patience you can make some real marvels.
Minskworks clearly put a lot of love in to this game and it shows, despite minor bugs this game has managed to be my latest addiction

The concept is something that could be good but its too broken imo to really recommend this game.
There is no save just what you did to that point is saved. So you do a mistake and are punished for it hardcore. Its an unfinished project.

I bought this game at the full release launch and it was awesome until I started to run into bugs that made it difficult to play any more. I decided to uninstall and try again in the future. Came back to it this past weekend and it felt like coming home until the bugs hit again and it was impossible to play. Oh how I wish there were updates for some of these bugs so I could just outright love this game but I can't. Because of that I just can't recommend it and that bites. :(

I adored this game when it first came out, but I guess it's abandoned now. It's a shame that a unique game like this didn't continue to receive updates after the 1.0 launch. I really looked forward to its future. Even if the updates came in DLCs, it would've been worth spending the money on. Still recommend playing what has been published, as what the game currently has is fun and a breath of fresh air compared to others.

Quite a lot of fun honestly. A little buggy at times but nothing too bad.
Coming back to this game for the first time since 1.0 launch, and my game is so rife with game-ruining bugs that I can't recommend it anymore. I used to love this game - the cynical tone, the retro aesthetic, it's all stuff I love - but now it's unplayable. Loading into game, and the scaffolding I need to replace the church roof has disappeared. So I exit the game and reload, and instead of fixing the mission, all of the furniture inside my house has disappeared. It has crushed my soul harder than Maggie Thatcher's economic policies.
I really, really want to recommend this game. I tried my best to enjoy it as it tickles my autistic brain in the right places. However, a few things keep me away from the game: bugs (going under the ladder each time or quests that are repeated over and over while old buildings for the quest are still there) and lack of the different forms of transportation (you get a wheelbarrow at the start, and it appears that there is nothing more, while quests are located in the main city, where you need to transport bags of cement and tools from your little camper, so you end up going 4-5 times before you start the quest, then 2-3 times after the quest is done to bring the tools back). On the positive side, building your house and fixing the building is fun and gives you a good amount of dopamine. The characters are hilarious, the whole vibe of 80s Britain is cool, and the graphics remind me of Postal. However, currently it feels like a good foundation for a solid game in the future. I hope I'm wrong, and the game later rewards you with a good old car to drive around with your tools or have more content. I'd love to change this review to a positive one.

The core concept is brilliant and on paper you have a great game. However, In reality what you get is a quite buggy and overly long game. Mainly due to the prices on the building materials and the bugs seeping in to the gameplay loop. For instance, you want to buy wall frames or wallpaper even and you're quite low on cash? Well you might do odd jobs (they have the best payout for minimal amount of work, like you can piss in the concrete mix and slap that ♥♥♥♥ on to whatever you're building). Well what if said odd jobs stop coming?
Yeah, well for some reason they stopped coming for me. And I was left collecting scrap and selling it to the local scrap saleswoman. Fun! Hell no.
Otherwise, it's great to build the house. It's awesome even. And the artsyle is beautiful and the general feeling is superb! It really takes me back to my time in England.
But it really sucks that the only way (for me at the moment) to make money is washing dishes on a pub or collect scrap.
I'd recommend it on a strong sale!

I really wanted to love this game. But it's just too buggy.
This game is terrible. Map? What map. Controls are odd. The number of bugs are insane. Nothing is straight forward. But mostly...bugs. It's terrible.

When I need to fix something around the house, I no longer look at youtube videos. I just play this game for a couple hours and problem solved. My house is falling down around me but I like this game.

It's a good game, great base idea but full of bugs. I managed complete the first house but not the second one from 0.. Purchased it on a 90% sale. Things are just not explained well enough to build a fully new house, always the same job after seen all with the tape reward, getting boring really fast. :\
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the janky oddness of Jalopy, didn't mind the bugs and broken aspects, and likes games that turn everyday jobs into fiddly (and innacurate) simulators.
In terms of aesthetic, the game is a fantastic slice of 1980's small town Britain. It mainly pulls this off through graphics. The characters in the town only have a few lines, but stand in as such strong archetypes that they feel like they have much more character. The characters are bolstered by all kinds of little details: newspapers, a selection of fake liquor and snacks, the scrap man's horse, the clearly down on its luck town, and your character's stomach getting so fat you can longer see your zipper. Regardless of the simplicity, this feels like a real place that I was kind of sad to leave after almost 40 hours.
The actual home repair and building is sometimes very picky with lots of screws and careful placement, but also sometimes wild and broken. This is where you most see what the developers were going for but weren't quite able to complete. Still, I found nailing plasterboard, fixing roofs, throwing down carpet, and building nonsense scaffolding just to replace a few bits of shingle consistently engaging. The physics are very inconsistent, but also still funny as you watch your nail gun fall off the roof, a dropped ladder smash away your brickwork, or see your wheelbarrow glitch out of existence.
But, yeah, other reviews aren't lying. The game is extremely buggy and figuring out how to do almost anything can be a chore of trial and error and lots of internet searching. Because the game is not very popular, that internet searching will sometimes just not lead to an answer. Because I was so compelled by the other aspects, I slowly overcame these difficulties and became pretty efficient at working with the sometimes nonsensical rules.
The gameplay arc is another area that is too underdeveloped. Weirdly, there is actually a very satisfying path through the game, but the game pushes you in the wrong direction. You start out collecting scrap, doing odd jobs, and washing dishes to scrounge up enough money to buy materials to complete the first house. This all works pretty well. I enjoyed the hustle here, but feared I would have to keep doing it forever.
The reward for completing that house is getting to rent it. And renting is the worst part of the game. It is just boring. There's not much to do here. You can still scrap and do odd jobs, but otherwise time just passes with the reward of a little money and a bit of damage to the house. This is the arc that the game very clearly presents you with, and it isn't very good.
What is actually fun is just selling the place and walking away with a huge chunk of change. After that, you don't need to do any more busy work. You'll easily have enough money to complete the next house. The game then becomes a house flipper in which you refine your skill and speed at fixing up the houses you can buy from the council. Not only do you skip the money scrounging, but the upgraded tools are all pretty good. They remove the most annoying aspect of earlier tools, while still be fiddly enough to require paying attention. The tenants do provide a goal: fixing up a place good enough for the best tenant, the yuppie. But actually renting it to them is still boring.
So, in the end, this game is really a janky, almost broken house flipper set in 80's Britain. And, I honestly really enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to Minskworks next game, Honcho.
Overall good experience, the core sim elements are great, however mid to late game is lacking seems to be a lot of missed opportunities. You cant work on multiple property or invest your money into business around town. Not enough work opportunities. The game seems unfinished.
