I have 60+ hours in KF2 and so far i'm enjoying this. I'm guessing they've done alot of patches since launch because it's not as bad as the initial reviews made it. However, it's worse in some ways. For example, it's faster paced, has less weapons, no lobby browser, sometimes glitchty, etc. It's also better than KF2 in some ways like better graphics/animations, scarier enemies, more immersive, etc. Overall, for the price I paid (on sale at $24), i'd give it a 7/10.

It feels like a guilty pleasure. The graphics are okay, but they feel “blocky,” kind of like typical console graphics. The animations are also okay, but they could look much better. The technical side is fine too, though there are occasional disconnects at startup, and the FPS sometimes drops—but overall it’s still within an acceptable range.

It’s different from Part 2. You can do more with skill points and weapon mods, but you’re limited to 5 or 10 waves per match. There are no user-created maps or mods so far, and the existing content is just about sufficient.

But why do I still like it? The action is simply more fun. I especially enjoy playing the ninja. The developer just made the classic mistake of releasing the game way too early, which hurt its reputation on PC. So turn on crossplay—there are significantly more players on consoles who are actually into the game.

However, €40 is outrageously expensive. Pick it up on sale for €20—then no one can complain.

My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review. In this episode I return to one of my most beloved series on Steam, Killing Floor, with the latest entry Killing Floor 3.
The Killing Floor series hit Steam at a critical time, when quality Cooperative Games were scarce, starting as a mod for Unreal Tournament and progressing to a full game available on Steam. The initial release was unpolished, but had a dark gritty feel that few other shooters could emulate, featuring some fantastic level design, terrifying mutants straight out of a horror movie and a class based roguelike system that offered massive replay value. I spent hundred of hours with my family and friends, blasting through each of the games levels, building up my characters with bigger and better toys. There hasnt been a game that has managed to emulate the nostalgia and pure enjoyment of the first Killing Floor... until now

Killing Floor 3 returns players to the Post Apocalyptic World of the Killing Floor universe. This time the player takes the role of a member of Nightfall, a military operation with the objective of annihilating all of Horzines hideous creations. Operatives will infiltrate hotspots infested with the mutation, hunting down mutated creatures, gathering valuable materials to build your own deadly custom tools of destruction and completing objectives to destroy the source of the mutation once and for all. The Perks system from the previous entries in the series has returned, allowing players to build up their own custom operative by choosing from the games different abilities, as well as constructing their own custom weapons from mutated samples collected from your foes.

The initial release of Killing Floor has met with a mixed response, with the game experiencing some stability issues and bugs. The game does indeed need a lot more polish before it can reach the quality of the previous installments. However ive spent over 30 hours playing the game and it does make some improvements, such as fixing the balance issues of the previous game and adding more flexibility to character builds. I hope the development team continue to work on this game to improve the experience for players. This video is a compilation of different matches ive played with some of the new friends i made along the way.

This game barely constitutes as a Killing Floor game, this game is a husk of its former self and identity.

I would not recommend this game to anyone, a KF fan or not.
A lot of people argue that "of course its not going to be like KF2 it just released", KF2 was more fleshed out and featured more than this on release.

My issues with it in it's current state:

1. Guns have little to no "oomf" to them, everything feels like a pea shooter.
2. The dismemberment system is so lackluster in comparison to both KF1&2
3. The overall feedback you get from interacting with anything feels like nothing, when you shot enemies in the previous game it sounded fleshy, looked excessively bloody, and over the top in every aspect. Its supposed to be comically gore-y and bloody
4. There is this crafting system, it uses resources that all zeds drop after killing. This either needs to be rid of completely or streamlined. People don't come to KF for a grind, its to be picked up, turn the map red with your enemies and fight a boss at the end.

I am refunding at this time and I'll come back when some significant changes are made.

Picked KF3 up while it was on sale. Going to preface this review by saying this is my first KF game. I am not ab le to comment on some the expectations that others players had coming from the previous games. So far I am really enjoying the game. I haven't ran into any of the performance issues that other reviews mentioned. It plays a lot like Zombies in COD while being able to play different classes that upgrade individually. Really looking forward to getting into the higher difficulties with the game.

The game is really fun. It gets hate because of the lack of content compared to KF2 with 10 years of content updates... New maps/guns/characters will be added in content updates the same way KF2 did it.
Recent updates have also improved the gunplay since launch so if you're on the fence, now is a good time to give it a try.

Very dissapointed with this one. Huge fan of KF1 and 2. This isn't it. Stutters alot. Optimized like ♥♥♥♥. Animation quality is horrible. There are gameplay ideas here that I like but as it stands it needs more work. KF2 feels like a more modern game than this.

Not very happy. I initially pre purchased the game when it was first supposed to come out, didn't release on the original release date so I requested a refund. Saw it was on sale, purchased and downloaded it. goes thru the shader configuration, I played the opening basic training and completed that. I go to the mission board to play my first solo mission, it tries to load and crashes I've tried it several times, keeps crashing. I submitted a ticket, if they can't resolve the problem I'm going to be requesting yet another refund. Very disappointed that the game has been out almost a year now and they still have issues with it.

It's definitely different than KF2, but I'm enjoying it. More class-based stuff, fewer weapons and Perks, but they're much more customizable.

The only real complaint I have is that the gore engine is different and toned down.

Killing Floor 3 has definitely improved since launch. Performance is noticeably better, the game feels smoother, and the overall experience is more stable than it was on day one. I still need to put in more hours to get a full picture of everything the game offers, but so far it’s shaping up to be a good time.

If the devs keep refining things at this pace, KF3 could end up in a really strong place.

decided to give the game a try since it's on sale, despite the bad reviews. I got softlocked in the first round of my first match, having the last zed spawn out of bounds and not being able to get onto the map, making it unkillable.
the animations are absolutely horrible for this century's standards. I read my fair share of reviews for the game, but I thought they were surely overreacting. this is nothing but a soulless cashgrab. I won't even tell you to wait for the game to be on sale to buy it, don't even bother with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unless it gets a free re-release.

In it's current state, purchased post-Operation Deep Freeze, the game is genuinely quite fun. As someone who spent a good many years on KF2 on the Xbox, this is what I hoped for from a modern Killing Floor and a wave-based horde shooter.

I was on the fence after the rocky launch, and since then I've been thinking "when will this game be good enough for me to buy it?" So I finally bought it on sale, intending to refund if it played poorly or felt like a bad game, and was pleasantly surprised. From my experience so far it's much more fun than people are giving it credit for.

I have not crashed, disconnected, or lagged in the handful of hours I played. Multiplayer *for me* went flawlessly on my system. My friend was not so lucky, but they do have a system that is under the recommended specs and also needed to update their CPU drivers. I recommend anyone purchasing this to check that they do in fact meet the recommended specs, have updated their CPU+GPU drivers, and play on a modest graphical level for those specs- because I have seen some reviews that have not done so and had a subpar experience. The game feels demanding for hardware, even good hardware. (Also the initial shader cache is quite long, but very quick after the first time.)

The new enemies, reworked enemies, and enemy AI are welcome and it leads to a more exciting and fast paced experience. The bosses are more interesting and dangerous than KF2, and in my opinion have been executed very well to handle the 6 player teams. I enjoy the modern shooting, gunplay, and movement in the game, and it feels responsive. The 'ultimate' abilities feel more like class gadgets, and at no point did i feel they took me out of immersion or felt like a hero shooter. The perk system that is in place feels more robust and impactful than KF2's did, and the weapon mod system is something I have been looking forward to for a very long time. I like being able to use my personalized weapon that I've tailored towards my perk/class build or for certain bosses. I also appreciate that my character is separate from my class. Mutator and objective rounds feel fun and break up any monotony and add a challenge. Level progression feels solid. The maps feel varied with decent map design and some visually appealing points of interest here and there. The sound design is chunky, meaty and satisfying. I enjoy the story objectives while I play as well.

The cash shop doesn't feel all predatory and in my face, and the battle-pass system is the HellDivers 2 model. You can earn experience and premium credits towards battle passes, they also have a free track, they don't disappear, and you can pick and choose.

I was always more attached to the semi-futuristic, grim, gory, zed-killing rather than the goofy/campy british humor side of things. My experience has actually been enhanced with this installment, but I know thats a point of contention for a lot of people. That humor is not gone, but the focus has shifted to be less centered around that.

I think the game is in a decent spot, and the core gameplay loop is very enjoyable. As long as the developers continue putting out more content and continue optimizing the game for various hardware, I believe it has the potential to bring people back. There has clearly been a lot of work done on the game since its launch, but it still has a lot of room to grow. I hope that the Developers are funded and motivated to continue a redemption arc.

Es gibt keinen Patriarchen. Es gibt keine Matriarchin. Es gibt keinen der Bosse aus dem vorherigen Games.
Ich habe Grafikeffekte, die ich zuletzt auf meinem Pentium II mit nVidia Rivia TNT hatte, als ich Unreal Tournament mit 16Bit Farbtiefe gespielt habe. - Auf Windows 98.

Ich habe massive Framedrops wegen... nichts? Oh halt. doch. Da hinten hat ein Gegner gerülpst.

Ich habe absolut nichts was in irgendeiner Weise an Killing floor oder Killing floor 2 erinnert. Ich kann keine eigenen Server hosten die ich bei bedarf nur mit meinen Freunden betreten kann, ich habe keine Möglichkeit custom Maps einzuspielen.

Ich habe ein Spiel, das zwar vom Namen her Killing Floor ist, das eine Spielmechanik bietet wie Killing Floor, also wellen basiertes niederschießen von Gegnern, aber das Spiel hier IST einfach kein Killing Floor.

Es ist ein unfertiger, massive Performanceprobleme-habender, liebloser Klon eines guten Shooters.

Versteht mich nicht falsch, für sich alleine stehend ist das Game durchaus annehmbar. Ein guter Budget-Shooter, der sich von Killing Floor hat beeinflussen lassen.

Aber als Teil der "Killing floor" Reihe hat das Spiel den unrühmlichen letzten Platz.

Es tut mir Leid Tripwire. Aber da es keine "Neutrale" Bewertung gibt, wird es eine schlechte Bewertung. Das hier ist einfach kein Killing Floor. Das ist entweder ein liebloser Cashgrab, oder eun "netter Versuch".
Veröffentlicht das doch unter dem Namen "American Monster Shooter" oder etwas ähnliches...

I played the Beta and put a few hours into the game at release. I just came back to the game with the release of Season 3, and I have to say it is honestly already in a much better place. They are clearly working hard on making the game better and listening to the community, and I think the roadmap they released is also very promising. I think it's commendable that they are actively working on improving the game, and did not just abandon it - especially in this day and age. Just for that, I already feel comfortable giving this game a positive review. And, well, it is also definitely in a place now where it's fun to play!

Of course, this game cannot escape being compared to its predecessor, Killing Floor 2, one of my favorite games of all time. I will try to make a quick comparison of the two games with the most important points for me, but I should note that the single most important thing is that the core gameplay loop of just killing those damn ZEDs is now really there and it is satisfying.

KF3 Pros:
- Love the new ZED designs, attacks, and of course the new bosses. They are just really cool. Different but also true to the original designs.
- ZED movement takes some time getting used to after KF2, but it's actually really fun. Love the more vertical gameplay with the new crawlers for example.
- Armory system with customizable weapons is great!
- Perk gadgets are really fun to play with. Especially love the Medic one.
- Skins, battlepasses, shop, etc. It's commendable that the supply passes are durable (you can come back to the game whenever you want without fear of missing out on the passes), the supply pass XP is the same for every season and can also be saved up in advance, and purchasing a single supply pass will earn you back your credits so you can purchase the next one if you want. I think if your game has to have cosmetic items and supply passes, this is honestly a very good way of doing it. In any case it's objectively better than the KF2 lootbox system.

KF3 Cons:
- Amount of content. Of course it's totally unfair to compare to KF2 which was released years ago, but there are so many unique and cool KF2 weapons, KF3 is definitely still lacking somewhat in that department. Same goes for amount of maps, but I should note that the just-released Arctic map shows they're going in the right direction.
- Perk skills. The new system works fine (and I love the skill upgrading with points), but unlocking a new perk skill felt a lot cooler in KF2 for some reason. The skills just felt more powerful I think?
- I have experienced a few (3 or 4?) crashes, and/or server connection lost. But it's honestly not too bad, definitely better than at launch.

I think the conclusion is that the game needs more work and some more polishing, but it's definitely showing it's potential now. And honestly I'm having fun playing it! I will be purchasing the supply passes as well I think, just to continue to support it.

I don't usually write a review, but since latest update makes the game a lot more fun. I believe Killing Floor 3 deserves a second chance. Although, the optimization of the game still needs improvement, but overall I'm quite happy of where it is now.
Also, Pls add more heavy metal songs.

the game takes forever to load or do anything, stutters like hell when I can easily play games like rdr2 on maxed settings with no lag also game has trash graphics looking like ps 2 crap for some of the stuff in the environment like the fire extinguisher. not worth getting for the unplayable stutters and freezes alone.

the fact they got rid of regenerating syringes makes solo play unbearable too. refunding this dog crap game.

I guess the only way to describe this game is just, disappointing? It doesn't really feel like "Killing Floor" if that makes sense, it just feels generic. I had so much fun and so many hours playing KF2 on PS4 when it released and even put a-lot of hours in it on steam, and even though I've literally only played, one map and only the tutorial of KF3, I could just tell personally, it really is a downgrade from the previous two titles. Maybe I'm just not a fan of the "near distant futuristic" design of the overall game, but I really think the character designs, map designs, and especially the weapon designs are just either boring or straight up bad. Gameplay, is also just boring and generic, guns aren't really fun to shoot, zeds aren't fun to kill, as of writing this there really aren't that many weapons as in KF2 (even not counting DLC) and they also didn't include most of the classes, so the game gets dry pretty quick. I know this game as of writing this is still semi new, it's been out for a couple months and SOME performance issues got fixed with some patch updates, so I will admit, I didn't really have a problem running and opening the game with decent quality. Sliding is a nice addition, I like that extra bit of movement, I really don't care for and didn't use the dash, mantling is also a nice addition I will say that. I didn't bother playing online, if I didn't have fun playing solo, I don't really think playing with randoms is gonna fix that.

Basically to sum this up, it is a "serviceable" game, as many have pointed out, it is playable but to be honest, if you want a really good Killing Floor game, just play 2 until more updates and stuff come out for 3.

This game feels more like a mod or early access than a full release. The maps are very small, almost like arena-style layouts, and the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive - you’re fighting the same 3-5 enemy types over and over again. This game only offers a 5-wave or 10-wave mode, which isn’t enough to keep things interesting.

Visually, the game is underwhelming. The graphics are generic and lack any distinct or memorable art style. What’s worse is that despite not looking particularly impressive, the game has surprisingly high hardware requirements (I recommend an RTX 4070 or higher). There are noticeable FPS drops whenever new enemies spawn, which hurts the overall experience.

From a technical standpoint, it feels like the game is running on outdated engine technology. Modern engines - like those used by Saber Interactive that is called Swarm Engine, can handle hundreds of enemies smoothly, so it’s disappointing to see performance issues at this scale.

In terms of design, the game would benefit greatly from more variety. Adding multiple enemy factions or “races” would make the gameplay more engaging, similar to how other shooters diversify their encounters (e.g. Destiny 2 got like 5 different enemy races). Right now, everything feels too repetitive.

The art direction also needs a complete rethink. Many successful games don’t rely on cutting-edge graphics but instead stand out through unique and recognizable art styles (e.g. Team Frotress 2, Borderlands, Overwatch, WarCraft 3, Destiny 2 and so on). This game lacks that identity, making it feel generic and forgettable.

As it stands, the game doesn’t justify a high price. It would be more appropriate as a €20 title at most, €5 on sale, or even a free-to-play game supported by a season pass and cosmetic shop.

Overall, it feels like a generic FPS mod rather than a fully realized game. You’re not missing much if you skip it.

I recommend that the development team introduce more diverse zombie races and game modes, redesign the art direction to establish a unique visual identity, and explore licensing the Swarm Engine from Saber Interactive.

Anyone looking for a good zombie game should try John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando!

Mi opinion sobre el kf3 o el otro nombre que intenta imponer sobre este juego
El juego es entretenido tiene el sountrack de las entregas anteriores y el gameplay sigue siendo frenetico para dedicarles unas horas aun asi esta algo verde le falta madurar en el tema de las mecanicas en especial en ese sentido

Lo malo es que al iniciar el juego ya estaba luchando con el rendimiento y hacer una configuracion adecuada para los fps, me costoo mucho en tomar una config casi perfecta para sacarle 120 fps la media y durante el combate cae a 50 fps en cual puedo dejar pasar eso ya que mi verdadero problema es algo mas sencillo de lo que parece que seria poder limitar los p in che FPS y dejarlo a 60 para no destruir mi GPU que siempre esta a 99 grados ,suena sencillo pero no puedo limitarlos con la configuracion del juego ni con el panel de nvidia ,no quiero usar programas externos para hacer algo tan sencillo .....

Lo otro es la cantidad de cuerpos que se pueden interactuar despues de matarlos eso es un problema grande para el rendimiento e innecesario viendolo de esa forma pienso yo es pura critica mia ..

El otro problema es limitar el uso de estimulantes que antes eran infinitos por decirlos asi que lo dejen a 3 usos, me parece una locura , te mueres solo con los jefes en el modo normal por que te quedas sin estimulantes y eso me parece una falta de identidad por parte de la compañia por el lore del juego estamos en el futuro y que existan estos problemas durante el gameplay me parece muuuy XD limitar el estimulante ya que deberia ser al reves con el kf1 podria creerte con esta limitacion (supongamos que existe esa limitacion de los estimulantes) pero con el 3 que se supone que hay mejor tecnologia ,es muy gracioso y molesto por que afecta demasiado el gameplay .

O jogo é legal, agora tem mais players ativos... Tem uns bugs, uns mapas que estão com uma otimização péssima, mas fora isso, jogão pra passar o tempo.

Os pontos negativos:
- ganhei do ex, nunca mais joguei por ter medo de jogar e dar de cara com ele em alguma partida, prefiro comer vidro;
- mal otimizado em alguns mapas, da um nervoso do caramba e vc se lasca por isso;
- tiraram alguns personagens clássicos do KF1 e 2, não vi sentido nisso, me parece que a comunidade também não gostou disso;
- poucas armas, na minha "nada humilde opinião";
- as classes...

Pontos positivos:
- não precisei pagar;
- é um jogo divertido, vc passa raiva mas vc também da risada;
- a jogabilidade é muito boa, curti, movimentação bem boa;
- tem mecânica de modificação de armas, achei massa;
- as classes vem com umas habilidades especiais pra vc soltar, bem legal;
- customização legal.

Eu prefiro o 2 por diversos fatores, mas o 3 numa promoção, se tem amigos pra jogar contigo, é válido.

I so wanted to like this game but ran into an issue in tutorial with a network error 5. Tried trouble shooting for an hour. It just got worse from their as i was getting "failed to authenticate with online service". Hopefully in the near future they can fix something about this because right now its unplayable for me and now will be requesting a refund.

This game is enjoyable for me at 30 fps with high setting and turn all Lumen off (I prefer graphic over fps but solid 60 fps is still far better)

Need
- More optimization (Of course this is very in need)
- Night vision or flares (It's very dark and flashlight doesn't help that much)
- More secondary weapons
- Smoother player's animations (Dash animation is very stiff)
- Give bayonet to every guns!

If this was the state they released KF3 in, it probably wouldn't have been received so poorly. It almost has that KF feel again, and the monetization isn't as oppressive as it was at launch. The zeds are fantastic, with the updates making them all feel like natural evolutions. The skill tree is the best its ever been, and the weapon upgrade system is pretty solid (even if the guns themselves don't look the greatest). Buy it on sale, it's the perfect $20-$30 wave shooter and you'll get your money's worth.

Biggest issue is the quality of the warbonds is really not there. Incredibly basic and simple recolors, tons of sprays and weapon charms that you won't ever actually see, etc.

- มี Zed หลากหลายมากขึ้นทำให้มีการท้าทายในการเล่นมากขึ้น (แต่ต้องเล่นHardและHOE)

Killingfloor系列的老粉！2011年那时候用竞舞台来联机盗版的KF1，steam大号KF2入的首发，后来也把KF1补票了，这个KF3......游戏优化确实一般，地图和游戏内容比较少，也许再更新一年才能让大部分玩家有更直观更好的体验，如果赶着打折或者在TB买个本体key六七十块，那就还不错了！目前国内联机得挂加速器，暂时没有KF2那种的可选社区服务器，职业枪械种类少，但可以用多种配件改枪，职业技能相对KF2有更多选择了= =，关于这一点有人喜欢有人讨厌吧……（我倒是能接受），当前这游戏不打骨折不推荐买（或者TB买六七十块的key），赶着打折买个本体体验就可以了DLC没必要。

As someone who played around launch and got back into it more recently I can comfortably say that it is worth it now, there is a lack of content modes and perks, but it is still fun.
I really enjoy the way you upgrade your weapon mods even though it can be tedious, I feel like it is a more rewarding experience.
If you are considering getting it now that it's on sale I would say get it.

- Não tem meia dúzia de classe comparado com o KF2

- Os designes dos Zeds são um LIXO, coisa mais genérica do mundo.

Resumindo, o jogo é divertido pra cacete, só que tá longe de ser KF2. É só a Tripwire ouvir a comunidade e deixar o jogo igual ao KF2 que era a fórmula pronta para dar certo. Eu sugiro jogar o KF2 que tem muito mais conteúdo, ou comprar esse jogo em uma promo, ficar jogando e incentivar a TripWire a não largar o KF3 numa sarjeta cheia de mijo e bosta para apodrecer. Habe das Game jetzt 5 Stunden gespielt und mein Fazit ist leider: nur ein Mid-Game, was echt schade ist. Im Vergleich zu KF2 ist KF3 leider nur ein seelenloser, moderner Shooter mit Battlepass.

Die Grafik sieht hübsch aus und die Zeds schauen auch cool aus. Die Bosse sind „leider“ im Moment nur so Krabbelviecher – wo sind Volter oder der Patriarch, die dich im Bossfight aktiv beleidigen (Freche Sprüche Dropen)

Die Musik ist leider auch ein enormer Downgrade, muss ich sagen. Das sind nur irgendwelche Remixe aus KF2-Bossfights. Anstatt in so einen dummen Battlepass-Müll zu investieren, hätte man die Mittel besser für Lizenzen von echten Heavy-Metal-Bands nutzen können, so wie es in KF2 der Fall war.

Der nächste Punkt ist die Waffenwahl, die leider extrem klein ist – da muss definitiv noch etwas gemacht werden.

Schlusswort: Leider ist KF3 ein weiteres Game, das dem Trend mit Battlepass und Live-Service-Inhalten zum Opfer gefallen ist.

Tipp: Falls ihr Bock auf einen coolen Koop-Shooter habt und KF3 gesehen habt, empfehle ich euch definitiv KF2. Das Game ist in vielen Bereichen um Welten besser (Maps, Bosse, Waffen, Atmosphäre, Musik).

FPS初心者のため、的外れなレビューになっているかもしれません。
チュートリアルが難しすぎます。
友人と一緒に遊ぶために購入したのですが、これでは意味がありません。

I feel like the people complaining the game isn't done don't remember how limited KF2 was when it was first released. Does it have much less content than KF2 does *now*? Sure. It's just like when every new Civ game comes out. The game is good but not perfect.

- Wave pacing is improved.
- The movement is more complex but less responsive than previous KF games.
- Can't sprint backwards anymore, I really miss this
- The sprinting animation isn't as obvious as KF2, makes it a little harder to *see* when you're actually sprinting.
- The "story" is totally irrelevant, but it's a KF game, what did you expect?
- I don't like how (almost) all the guns are fake sci-fi guns.
- The guns feel great to shoot
- I personally like the new weapon modding and upgrading system.
- The elemental damage system is much more complex than previous KF games, adding an extra layer of loadout strategy.
- Menu and UI in general feel dumbed down compared to older games
- No server browser is VERY annoying, but adding one is on the road map.
- Can't throw dosh and grenades after defeating boss anymore :(
- Can give dosh directly to players in the trader UI to block the interceptors.
- Shooting zeds is still just fun, no matter how annoying anything else about the game is.

Alot of bad reviews but that didn't stop me. And im glad it didn't.

This game is AWESOME.

Content is a little lower, but it hasn't been live very long so thats ok, and they have already released some new content recently!

The MELEE SYSTEM IS SO MUCH NICER THAN KF2. I can tell they put ALOT of effort into that. I love that you can hold down for heavy attacks now, rather than just pressing right click (as with KF2) and you can chain it with a dash to slice horizontally along a larger area. SICK!!

The movement is interesting, and it compliments the NINJA (BERSERKER) PERK SO DAMN WELL. You can cheese movement by rebinding dash to a side mouse button, and if you stop sprinting you can ACTUALLY DASH FORWARD. Thats the one thing that feels a little awkward about the dash at the moment. Can't dash forward while sprinting. But you can chain a slide into a 'side' dash into a slide which is nice.

The SKILLS and PERKS are SICK, and the progression system is a lot more refined compared to KF2 which I enjoy. I am sure they are going to release some more perks and characters and I am happy to wait. The PERK SPECIAL ABILITIES ARE SICK! SO FUN! The ziplines are hella fun, and being able to find and create new ziplines is so cool. The zed designs are way better in my opinion. I really think they nailed it with the SIREN, her scream attack is so much cooler now. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE BOSS FIGHTS! THEY ARE SO MUCH MORE FUN THAN KF2, YOU CAN DODGE ATTACKS (INSTEAD OF GETTING AUTO-LOCKED BY BOSSES), and THEY ARE WAY MORE REWARDING.

There are lots of small quality of life features that are awesome as well, but i'll let you find those for yourself ;)

I hella recommend, better with a friend for now, until there is more content.

El juego en si es muy divertido, la verdad que si quieres jugarlo de vez en cuando esta muy bien, pero solo eso, durante un rato, al cabo de 3 o 4 partidas no te anima a seguir jugando mucho mas, sobre todo por la GRAN cantidad de bugs que tiene todavia, literalmente cada dia descubro bugs nuevos, a este juego le falta todabia BASTANTE por pulir. Eso primero, luego esta el tema de comunicacion con tu equipo, no se como todavia no hay chat de juego, esta el de voz, pero realmente dudo que si juegas a esto sea para estar hablando con tu equipo, almenos me gustaria poder escribir un "bien hecho" o simplemente "gg", pero no puedes. Lo ultimo que veo mas raro son los modos de juego, esque todavia no hay ni modo sin fin, no entiendo porque, ya que me parece algo hipersimple que mejoraria mucho la experiencia. Pero bueno, dejando de lado todo eso, la jugabilidad y la movilidad esta muy bien, ahora hay mas variedad de armas, y el sistema de costumizacion del armamento esta muy divertido. En resumen, un juego que podria ser muy bueno, pero tiene pequeñas cosas que lo hacen ser mid a mi parecer, por ahora no esta ni cerca de ser igual de bueno que el KF2, pero con un poco mas de tiempo creo que puede llegar a ser muy buen juego, yo lo recomiendo.

Disappointing game Incomplete game after 8 month of release, no in-game chat, no math lobbies, nearly dead game with few specific regular players. Can't change perks and class mid game, daily mission is a gacha roll, especially with the specific boss kill which is pure RNG-based.

I've played all the killing floor games, and thoroughly enjoyed killing floor 2. The launch of this game was pretty bad, but with each update it's getting better. I would still, recommend getting it on sale, perhaps on Halloween as even more content will be added by then as well. I've heard issues about performance (I haven't run into any, and I have mid-tier specs). The gunplay feels fun, movement feels nice, and there's a good amount of map variety now, with a new one to be implemented each season. More classes will be coming soon as well.

I had high hopes for this game but its nearing a year since it came out and it still does not run well and crashes a lot, there is still very few weapon and the new perk skill TT sucks. If you're reading this and are debating buying the game while on sale, buy it.

If you need more convincing, here's a few points.

I never played this game at launch, my opinion is completely unbiased by comparative progress in development by Tripwire.
I have played and loved Killing Floor 2, so there's my gamer badge.
There is at *least* 30 hours of gameplay for you to enjoy.
The matchmaking allows for 6 players in one single game.
This is a monumental turnaround, echoing the lessons learned by Hello Games.

Genuinely. Enjoyable. Videogame. They are nowhere near done either i'm sure. I'm writing this because I want to do my part in giving props to devs that clean up their messes. Great job Tripwire.

(extra points I felt like adding just in case)

**Microtransactions**

* There is a battle pass system, where you can pick and choose either the current, or legacy reward trees to progress through, this is similar to Battlefield 6, however with one very important, minor change.. They are not trying to fist your bank account with psy-op level MT science to fatigue you into buying the reward you want. Continued below.

The in game currency (Creds) is given in excess, without having to have paid for the premium version of any of the packs, this is reminiscent of Arc Raiders' battlepass rewards system, where they just want to give you a good reason to play the game, and not mentally waterboard you into a digital goods purchase.. (ahem NBA2K26BATTLEFIELD6SKATEAHEMJOHNNYCARPETSTOXICMANDOUGH)

Anyway uh point is, you can very easily earn the premium rewards for passes you've already unlocked for *free*, because that's what a skin in a game should be. Free.

I don't remember Black Ops 1 launching, and everyone being super excited to pay 9.99 for the privilege of suffering through 40 hours of buggy boring content, in order to unlock the super sweet skull-face warpaint cosmetic. We just earned it, because the game was good.

As unfortunate as it is we went down the wrong road so far that an inch in the right direction deserves credit, this rewards system shouldn't be overlooked and deserves praise. It's non-predatory and serves it's function as incentive to continue to play the already enjoyable game. Win-win. (more to come if I think of anything)

Did not have the greatest launch full of performance issues even if you had a relatively high-end PC. Gameplay-wise it was kind of bland. each of the perks (classes) are interesting but with the 5 wave duration being the only gamemode it was extremely time-consuming to level any perk if you weren't getting tons of kills.

With the newest update, Season 3, they have added a bunch of performance fixes and while they are still there from time to time it is getting better. The addition of Long game durations ( 10 waves + 1 boss) makes it much easier to level perks without needing to steal every kill. While there was a ton of doom and gloom on this game not being a good successor to its last installment, Killing floor 2, I think it's headed in the right direction. it will certainly take some time but its clear the devs have not given up on this game and are still actively improving it and in my opinion that is a good reason for me to keep playing even at 192 hours at the time of this review.

The Deep Freeze update made me go from tolerating the game to enjoying it.

Ninja is the most fun ive had in the franchise, grappling to the Fleshpound across the room to stop him from turning the Medic into apple sauce, while the Medic is blasting the Attack on Titan theme over voice as he uses his ult, turning the fight around- all this happening during Zed Time has got to be my favorite moment so far.

looking forward to Gunslinger and Endless mode in Season 4.

Pero por otro lado los desarrolladores están trabando en los cambios que la comunidad pide con total transparencia de lo que planean implementar y poco a poco el juego tendrá más contenido y se recuperará lo perdido, lo único se mantendrá será la dirección de un juego más táctico lo cual puede gustar a quienes buscan una sensación más intensa de supervivencia y para algo arcade seguimos teniendo el 2.

Me han gustado las sensaciones que transmite, los gráficos son buenos y disparar se siente agradable, movimiento fluido y en general dentro de la partida ha sido una buena experiencia lo poco que llevo, pero siendo objetivo por el precio al que esta en oferta me doy por servido, da para muchas más horas que juegos de 70 dólares. Así que ve por el con confianza, sí puedes pasar por alto los problemas actuales mientras los arreglan (están todos en hoja de ruta) vas a divertirte con este juego.

wrap it out KF fans, this game is a whole different game using the title just to milked the series.
even with the discounted price the game still not worth to play. well, at least for me
i only have 500 hours on killing floor 2 i don't think i have that much hours than most of the vet/old player but i really enjoyed the game, and yeah i play KF1 too while both game has slightly different mechanics they both has their own charm, unlike this mess that they have created.

they probably want to get into wider audience by adding those movement nobody asked for, and not appealing to anyone. i know you want to innovate but this is just not it.

this game mechanic totally different from the past titles and feels so unsatisfying to play.
idk why people in the reviews harassing fans who have been playing KF1 and KF2 for hundred or even thousand of hours, the disappointment they've feel are totally valid the fans have been keeping the title alive and going, and the dev just decided to obliterate their own fanbase and say ♥♥♥♥ them, and ignores them. i guess criticizing things they loved are forbidden now, also what happens to listening to player feedback?.

few of them even still play kf2 to this day, even when tripwire want more money for future guns updates they still bought it. idk the fans are just loyal or stupid but i can see them staying for the game they've loved for years and hoping that tripwire will fix the game or at least compress the game size.

killing floor 3 have turned the series into a movement shooter for no reason? (prob following trend? who knows what's inside tripwire head) and the mechanic are different from the past 2 titles, the UI, especially the buy menu UI feels cheap, the control, and graphic without lumen looks cheap too, don't even wanna talk about the animation man.
from what i can see this game is rushed, unpolished, and unoptimized.

this game feels like Payday 3, nobody asked for this and the whole thing changed for no reason.

i would rather play kf2 and KF1. well, have fun who play this game as new players.

my laptop couldn't even handle this game and keep it on 60fps, it always drop to 40-30fps. i mean my VRAM specs lower than the minimum rec so yeah it is what it is and the game used UE5 btw which is the reason why gaming nowadays suck ass because UE5 makes labor cheaper because using the same game engine, while optimizing stuff is not even a thing anymore. because using lumen and nanite is cheaper and faster, and they can just slap dlss/fsr/xess upscaling after

Its fun, the graphics are great, but what i miss:
Im a huge lover of Voice actors, and the difference between KF2 VAs and KF3 is huge, but in a bad way,
for example the german version, Foster in kf2 had a cocky personality and was quite talkative, you really can hear the voice actor has fun, and in kf3 it sounds like he is just reading his script and thats it, so i changed to the english version and it is alot better but still a downgrade to kf2 sadly

what i also miss is that in kf2 a class had like a tons of stuff that gets upgraded upon level up and now it only upgrade 2-3 things the more proficient you get, but on the other hand you have a bigger skill tree now so it is what it is.

lastly the bosses, i dont mind that they lost their personality in favor of now being other worldly beings but i really miss that after the boss fight you were put in slow motion and could see your character jumping, looking and shooting around, followed by you seeing your char in third person for a bit. it just feels weird being the ninja and meleeing the boss juss to despawn when it has its death animation

oh and daylight maps/ versions wouldnt hurt

It is a game.

There are very few guns, the sense of progression in upgrades through buying better guns throughout waves is gone, the spirit is gone, it's a stripped down version of what Killing Floor is supposed to be. I'm baffled by the direction they took with this one. The player numbers speak for themselves. Feels like a game designed from a spreadsheet rather than the imagination of people with passion.

At its core, Killing Floor 3 is a true horde shooter. The gameplay loop is simple but highly addictive — survive waves of Zeds, upgrade your gear, and face intense boss fights. It’s not trying to reinvent the genre, and honestly, that’s part of its strength. The gunplay feels satisfying, the action is constant, and the overall pacing keeps you engaged from start to finish.

What really stands out is how well it captures the feeling of pure co-op survival chaos. Playing with friends turns every match into a mix of strategy, panic, and fun moments, especially on higher difficulties where teamwork becomes essential.

Visually, the game also takes a step forward with improved graphics and a more advanced gore system, making every encounter feel impactful and brutal in a satisfying way.

That said, the game isn’t perfect. It can feel repetitive over time, and some content feels limited at launch. However, these issues don’t take away from the core experience, which remains fun and engaging — especially if you enjoy horde-based shooters.

In my opinion, Killing Floor 3 is an underrated game. It may not be revolutionary, but it’s a very solid and respectable horde shooter that was unfairly judged by many. With future updates and support already planned, it has the potential to become even better over time.
