A very addictive, albeit quite short, game. I actually recall playing Karate Master 1 on XP. Wish there were more games like this. I would gladly welcome a sequel as well.

Karate Master 2: Knock Down Blow es un juego muy particular, pensado claramente para un público concreto. No intenta competir con grandes juegos de lucha ni ser accesible para todo el mundo, sino ofrecer una experiencia centrada en el karate tradicional, con un enfoque más técnico que espectacular.
El sistema de combate es su mayor atractivo. Los enfrentamientos son duros, lentos y exigentes, y premian la colocación, el timing y la lectura del rival más que la ejecución de combos. Aquí cada golpe importa, y un error se paga caro. Cuando el sistema encaja, transmite muy bien la sensación de combate físico y tenso.
El problema es que esa misma filosofía también limita el juego. El ritmo puede resultar demasiado rígido y tosco, especialmente para jugadores acostumbrados a luchadores más fluidos. Las animaciones son funcionales, pero poco refinadas, y el control requiere paciencia para no sentirse frustrante.
En cuanto a contenido, es correcto sin destacar. Hay modos suficientes para entretener durante unas horas, pero la variedad es limitada y el juego no tiene profundidad como para mantener el interés a muy largo plazo. La progresión se siente simple y los desafíos acaban repitiéndose.
Visualmente cumple, pero sin alardes, y el apartado sonoro es discreto. Todo el conjunto transmite la sensación de un proyecto modesto, hecho con una idea clara, pero sin el presupuesto ni el pulido de producciones mayores.
En resumen, Karate Master 2: Knock Down Blow es un título recomendable si buscas un juego de lucha diferente, más realista y pausado, y estás dispuesto a aceptar controles duros y un acabado sencillo. No es para todos los públicos, pero dentro de su nicho ofrece una experiencia honesta y coherente con lo que propone.

O jogo é legalzinho pra passar o tempo, mas tem MUITOS problemas. zerei o jogo e nenhuma conquista apareceu(era pro jogo ta platinado), o sistema de treinamento é meio meh pq os vale mais a pena treina num treinamento level abaixo do seu pq é muito melhor, alguns golpes tem que aperta teclas bizarramente rapido e nao valem a pena usar mas vc é obrigado a aprender, fora coisas da historia que nao apareceram pra mim mesmo vendo os creditos.

As the 20th century Karate tribute, it is a decent thing. As a game with that price tag, though... Nah, it's not.
All those Japanese terms, from Maai and Sen Sen no Sen to Ippon! - sounds solid. The battle system is fast and fluid, with decent hitboxes and nice moves (Waza), and not only the Karate ones, but also some distinctive moves from Box and Muai Thai, for some of your opponents. In short, all those things you see in the trailer on the store page, are there, and feels good. But... that's hardly enough.
Let's say gameplay-wise, about the game which is looks like browser things from late '00s-early '10s, but rarely sells for less than 5$, even the decade after the release. First, forget about achievements - they are broken, and the dev is long gone from the game support cycle. Second, the game pace is irritating. It is not ultimately hard, but surely annoying - and I'm a fan of such games, I can mash the 'train' buttons in Punch Club all night long, as long as it provides some steady progress that makes a difference in fights, in other word, keeps my dopamine where I want it.
First, you play a lame minigame to make a quick $, just enough to pay for one or two tries to enter the basic tournament. Then you mash the buttons to beat 3 karatekas, each of them can suddenly one-punch you to the hospital. Beating the tournament provides the access to one training session. Now, trainings. You have 5 stats, and the only one that really provides (but not ultimately) is the strength. Raising it from the starting 1 to final 10 (which takes about 15-20 training sessions) makes the fights much faster and certainly improves the win rate. On the other hand, the endurance exercises still not protecting you from one-punch sudden KOs, and also, the training minigames for endurance are also the most irritating and less rewarding, out of all trainings. And some of the trainings breaking up the whole lame UI, so you basically soft-lock yourself and need to restart the game...
After you beat enough basic tournaments, you'll get the fame to challenge other karate (and not only karate) dojos, which will ultimately lead you to the best karate master in the town, and then to final Kumite tournament, with the very final boss.
Beating it all, I can say it's not worth the price, and even more, the time to grind through all the similar irritating minigames. As of summary, there were some nice points, from the basic True Karate forms, like how I remember them, trained and watched all those fighting movies in '80s and '90s, to the one or two decent minigames in training section. But overall, it's only good enough for a browser free-to-play session. Mark is 5.5/10.

It's like an old arcade video game. Some things are a bit frustrating, like some of the training minigames with non-intuitive buttons, but otherwise I find it fun.
I recommend it to those who like the genre, but not to those who don't like excessive grinding.

Bought this game on a whim and it was money well spent. Games like this show how simple it is to make a great game. The story is cheesy in that good way. Gameplay is fun, Mini games are great, and the progression feels awesome. Definitely a must have for anyone who enjoys old-school 80s martial arts movies

プレイの大半が、バイト、修行、道場破りで作業感が強め･･･
1500ドル貯めて道場を購入するとエンディング。

育成要素があり、氷柱割り、拳圧でロウソクの炎を消す、滝に打たれるなど空手らしい修行のミニゲームが20種類。
修行すればするほどステータスがドンドン強化されていく。
ステータスの内容はゲーム中に説明がないので参考程度に。
・強さ 攻撃力が上がる。最優先で鍛えるべし！
・タフさ 防御力が上がる。タフすぎてソンはない。
・スピード 技の発生が速くなる。
・体鍛え クリティカル率アップ。一撃必殺が出やすくなるっぽい。
・気 KI（気力）ゲージの回復速度アップ
ただし、修行するにはトレーニングポイントが必要。
トレーニングポイントは大会で優勝するか、道場破りをして勝利すると手に入る。
俺は、最初から最後までコブラ会狩りをしてトレーニングポイントを貯めた。
またポイントを消費してカカト落とし、胴回し回転蹴りなどの[strike]全く役に立たない[/strike]新技を会得出来る。
ただし、大会に参加するにはお金が必要でフォークリフトのミニゲームで稼ぐ必要がある。
たまにバグで荷物が出て来なくて、時間切れまで何も出来ない事が結構あった･･･

左パンチ、右パンチ、左キック、右キックの4ボタン。
方向キーやボタンの組み合わせで様々な技が繰り出せる。
ここだけの話、左パンチと左右の前蹴りだけで全試合完封出来る。
試合形式は、防具あり（顔面攻撃OK）、防具なし（顔面攻撃禁止）の2種類。
中盤くらいから防具なしの顔面攻撃ありがメインになる。
頭部・胴体・脚部に攻撃を食らうとダメージが蓄積されていく。
赤の状態で攻撃を食らうと一本負けになる。
またランダムで「一撃必殺」が発動すると即KOとなる。
敵の種類によっては結構な頻度で一撃必殺してくるので注意！
ボクシング、ムエタイ、テコンドー、プロレスとの異種格闘大会、
空手でお馴染みの牛や熊とのデンジャーバトルもある。

战斗体验极差，作为一款纯PVE游戏缺少与AI的交互性。
攻击分上中下段，防御和当身也分上中下段，三者之间严格对应，上段攻击就只能由上段防御和当身化解。也不存在连段、远程攻击之类的东西，就是连续拼反应，拼到一方倒下为止，这种战斗强度已经超过一般玩家的能力范畴了。
而面对的AI都是读指令怪，各种精防、当身、卡距离、偷轻攻击，甚至经常一击必杀。说实话光精防一点带来的“气”（攻击资源）的优势已经足以让AI碾压人类，再叠加上其他优势就根本没法打，战斗能不能过只看AI赏了多少脸。连养成系统在AI的压制下都形同虚设，我没看出来有个毛用。

Well, it is pretty fun at the start, but by the mid/end game it gets really grindy if you want to stand a chance against the harder opponents, also not a fan at all of the instakill mechanic, it's cool in concept, but when a tournament run ends in 2 seconds because a single tap to your leg shattered your femur it starts to get really tedious, plus that recovery minigame is probably going to put my keyboard in a graveyard

This is my favorite fighting game after Hellish Quart. I can't say it's realistic to the point of being a simulation, but it's probably one of the most realistic fighting games, and masterfully executed as an indie title. Like any good story that blends fantasy and reality, things start low-key and relatively realistic, and become more and more fantastical and superpowered slowly and over time, as you become more invested. The hand-drawn art style is timeless, because hand drawings will never look dated in the way that old sprites or 3d models will. It's subtle, but the hand-drawn art style looks like sketches or cartoons from a high school student's notebook, which alludes to the adolescent fantasy aspects of the game as it gradually grows towards the fantastic and the overpowered. As a further kind of homage to adolescence, the game makes references to martial arts popular movies and heroes from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as historical karate-related figures like Mas Oyama, allowing middle aged players today to revisit and explore their own martial arts related adolescent fantasies and perhaps reflect upon them in hindsight.
Besides for this, the karate fighting, especially at the beginning of the game before things become very fantastical, is well represented. I've always enjoyed combative sports in real life and find the martial arts sparring gameplay to be satisfying and more or less reflecting the dynamics in martial arts sparring back in the 90s and 2000s. If you want to kick your opponent in the leg, the best time is when he steps forward or when he puts his leg down after throwing a kick. If you kick at the leg when the opponent is in a neutral position he may counter by kicking your head with the leg you were aiming at. And a good push kick can interrupt an out-of-range punch or roundhouse kick that takes a longer path to its target if aimed and timed correctly. Pretty good for a low budget indie game! What I like about this game is that someone might learn something real about karate sparring from this game, moreso than they would from some of the big name titles that are out there thes days.
So I say, you can't go wrong with this game...and you might even learn something!

O jogo é incrivelmente simples, tem uma fidelidade incorrupta ao Karate-dô, além de diversas mecânicas de treino, combate e trabalho (visto que o protagonista é um proletariado). A pesar de ter adorado todas as mecânicas do jogo - mesmo tendo passado por algumas irritações no caminho - e o recomendo para entusiastas de artes marciais.
Malgrado os elogios por mim citados à obra em questão, vejo a necessidade de também criticar.
O jogo tem alguns problemas de otimização, por ventura ele "crasha", trava o lutador adversário em uma pose deveras cômica ou torna inviável a atividade que está fazendo (como travar a entrega de cargas enquanto trabalhando no porto).
O jogo não há de devorar centenas de horas, tem uma história muito fascinante, mas ainda sofre de alguns problemas que podem dar-lhe, pelo menos, 4 fios brancos.

If your dream isn't to be a KARATE MASTER but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wannabe DOCKER, you'll be happy.
THE ULTIMATE GOAL of the game is to become a KARATE MASTER. Remember that, ok.
First thing first, the story is non-existent. For you to play and pay the entry fee for the first tournament (10 bucks), you'll have to work as a docker. Doing the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuff to gain 32 bucks max. Then, you'll see on the map that you can open a dojo and buy it for a 1 000 bucks.
So I grinded the docker job like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just for you to know that the "workplace is the worst place" where you doing this docker job can be buggy sometimes, frustrating you even more.
After one hour I got my 1 000 bucks and went to see Omar (the guy who's trying to sell you the building for your futur dojo)
"Did I say a 1 000 bucks? My bad it is now 1 500 bucks." Not only you can beat the game by not mastering Karate stuff, BUT, the game dev (devs?) is lazy AF.
Again doing this docker job until I get my 1 500 bucks to open my dojo and to become a Karate Master, I thought, since the game have this false/wrong idea to give you the opportunity to do it at the very begginning.
I paid Omar the 1500 bucks. A short awful cinematic later i opened my Dojo... END Credits. Back to the start menu.
I literally beat the game not being a Karate Master but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wannabe docker and doing it in a couple of hours.
The only couple of times I tried the first tournament my karate master experience was to smash every button without knowing what the heck i was doing.
this game doesn't earn this price of 9.99. give it a try under 3 dollars if you like to put barils in a truck for 2 hours.
EDIT : I'll recommand you to play PUNCH CLUB instead if you like those type of games. A much better game.

Very fun to learn and play, just needs a better tutorial, I can't learn how to play the game without looking it up on Youtube. I understand there was a bit of a language gap of some sort but that's what translation is for, it's an older game but there could've been more effort put in to explain how to actually play and where you're supposed to go or what you're supposed to do. Kinda just gotta figure it out.

At first sight it seems like a cool game, but there are a lot of cons:
- A huge amount of bugs
- Some achives do not unlock (when they meet condition)
- Very repetative
- Annoing loud music
- Hitboxes are terrible
pretty cool game with what looks like kyokushin style karate, feels like an old xbox live arcade game but better made. just rlly grindy and some of the inputs especially on the trainings feel sometimes just.... bad or not functional, still very simple and fun game. would b cool to see spinoffs made based off muay thai/tkd since they already have a base for it and models to just copy over

Took me about 6 hours to beat, can probably be beaten quicker. There's two achievements for beating opponents I never encountered in the game, so probably some hidden stuff I didn't find. Only ran into one bug - a random match wouldn't end after a knock out so I had to close the game. Didn't happen again.
I played with keyboard and mouse. My forearms and fingers felt the burn in some of the training minigames with how much I was pressing "a" "d" "j" "k" "u" "i" but it's an easy control scheme and felt good to use - which kind of surprised me because on paper it sounds terrible imo lmao. There were two moves I couldn't replicate with keyboard and mouse I had to plug in controller for because the inputs wouldn't register all at once. There's a section where in order to learn a move, you have to do it ten times, and in order to unlock a tournament you have to know every move so. Other than those two moves, played fine with keyboard (and never used those moves again other than learning them lmao).
The main appeal of the game is the music and gameplay. The action is surprisingly fun, and the music is good stuff perfect for some intense combat, I vibe with the menu musics too. The story is simple and straight forward, not much there. Just your typical old karate movie as a game. Not sure if the dialogue itself is rough, or if its specifically the English translation, buy boy howdy is some of the dialogue a little out there. But in a good, charming way I could appreciate as throwback to over the top karate movies.
The only actual downside about the game I'd say is the bone-break mechanic, which seems like any opponent has a random chance to break your bone and end the fight immediately regardless of the health of the limb (green, yellow, orange, red). In the final tournament, I'm not sure if it was super bad RNG or the tournament is actually turned up, but my dudes bones kept getting dusted despite having full health. The amount of random one shot defeats in the final tournament made me repeat it a few times and was kind of annoying lmao. Other than that? No complaints.
I purchased this game originally to support CRIANSOFT, don't even like karate stuff that much. But figured I'd play it because why not, spent money on it. Turned out to be surprisingly fun.
Wow. I love everything about this game. Being a lifelong martial artist, with a great many of those years spent in a dojo studying Kyokushin Karate, I found this game to be an awesome tribute to people who follow the path to Ultimate Truth. From a gaming perspective, for it's simplicity, it is actually a really well done technical fighting game.

The best karate game on PC! More of a sports simulation than a Street Fighter 2 style 2d fighting game. With a good variety of training mini games and challenge, it's great fun. Fans of kickboxing games will love this too.

A luta é confusa e movimentos estranhos que aproximam lutadores invés de distanciar. Provavelmente Budokan do Mega Drive seja melhor. Tem efeitos no meio da luta que não explica.

ただ、上段中段下段のどこを狙っても
大体同じダメージ表記で、ひたすらその３つの
どこかを集中して攻撃していれば勝てる、と言うのも
理不尽さがあると思います。
一撃必殺の間合いがもっと沢山起これば
更に楽しいかも知れない。

Отличная, но короткая игра про мастера карате, очевидно, вдохновлённая плеядой B-movie 80х-90х. Что имеем:
Простенький сюжет
Возможность дать ногой в хрюкало
Возможность опрокинуть поддон с топливом
Возможность быкануть на быка
Возможность покататься на (вроде) фиате 124
Переломы
Злодеи
Спесивые конкуренты
Приёмы прямиком из старого стрит файтера, которые без геймпада не исполнить
Драки. Много драк.
В контексте некоторой однообразности противников и приёмов, короткая продолжительность сюжета - скорее даже плюс. Как итог - хорошая игра на один вечер, которая не успеет надоесть - не дорогая, но при этом весёлая. Ощути дух игр начала 90х
Parece ruim no começo, depois piora, mas logo você nota que se passaram horas e você fez 100% porque ele é bom!
This game is not without its quirks, but after finishing it I can say that I really enjoyed it. It can be grindy at times while you try to get your stats up and when you have to raise money to fight, but these things go on to really add to the "karate journey".
super fun, memey retro fighting game. easiest 9.99 i ever spent tbh.
OK. I got a few more hours into this game. IF, IF you can muscle and grind leveling up your character you can start to get a thumb hold on the game and it becomes easier. The mini games don't offer enough explanations at times on how to perform them in order to gain more xp. Not a bad little game after its hurdles, but wished there was a touch more to it some how.

Es una buena idea muy mal planteada:
-Aprender las técnicas de karate no tiene sentido porque son más difíciles de ejecutar y no aportan ni daño, ni velocidad.
- Las pantallas en las que vas a trabajar son un pegote que este juego no necesita.
- El juego es repetitivo y lleno de relleno.
- La historia la ha escrito un niño de 5 años sin gracia. Entiendo que tiene que estar llena de tópicos, pero se toma demasiado en serio a si misma.
- Lo mejor es la pelea contra el toro.

Отличный симулятор каратиста с прокачкой параметров, изучением новых приемов и участием в различных состязаниях.Небольшая сюжетная линия, противники с разнообразными боевыми стилями боевых искусств, включая животных, интересная прокачка своих характеристик - все это присутствует в игре. Рекомендую всем поклонникам боевых искусств и файтингов.
Fun game. Just beat it and trying to get all the achievements seems to be bugged because I knocked out this dumb bull 5x already and I still doesn't acknowlegde it. So I am just going to uninstall it.
Очень крутой файтинг с элементами прокачки .Ты будешь орать и чувствовать как вкладываешься в удары.Будешь растить скорость силу а так же пыться обмануть соперника и бить по уязвимым местам тебя ждут переломы и больничка отбитые мышцы сломаные ребра отбитая печень и проломаный череп.Все это есть в игре и это очень крутой файтинг.По началу ты совсем не умеешь драться а потом ты бьешься с разными школами каратэ типа кёкусинкай или каратэ до итд итп.Вобщем жирный минус игры в том что вы не можете поиграть в нее с друзьями по сети или на одном экране .Я жду от автора следующую часть чтоб был мультиплеер .Но и одному было по кайфу играть даже стрит файтер и мортик тебя не заставляют так махаться как тут
