Wow this is awful.
The main game is earning cash by killing aliens and then blowing it all on gluttonous girls so you can buy their love.
The turn based combat is some of the worst out there. You hardly do any damage, but take tons in return. They shield and heal constantly. You have limited weapons each fight, but they're useless anyway.
To raise your love meter with girls, you need to gain experience by doing stuff with them or buying them gifts. But the amount of experience you gain is so minimal, it doesn't feel rewarding at all to complete quests. It's like if you're playing an rpg with a high level character and go back to one of the first areas and farm enemies for practically no experience.
Some of these quests have you kill a certain class of enemy, and I swear when you accept those quests, their spawn rate drops to the single digit percentile.
Other quests have you do activities with girls, but they can only be performed when they are in very specific areas (the girls move around every few in-game-hours.) You've got limited time to complete the quests, so it's a gamble if they'll be there enough for you to complete them.
Actually I can't really say its a gamble because that implies you'll have a slight chance of completing them. But in actuality you have zero chance. You could win the mega millions three times before having a girl sit at a restaurant long enough to have 5 meals with her in three days.
The game requires you to spend a ton of money, and you'll never have enough to do what you want to, as everything is absurdly overpriced.
There's a lot of bugs. I've had quests not work. I've had quests start as one thing, and then change requirements midway through.
The amount of clicking to do anything is absurd. Want to buy 5 popcorn for some girl? You have to buy them one at a time, then when giving them to the girl you have to click "talk to 'so and so,' give, click item, click yes." repeat 5 times.
You can save at anytime, (which also bugs out from time to time, saving in whatever slot it feels like occasionally,) so the only way to beat some quests or manage your time optimally is to reload over and over. I reload so often it crashes the game.
It's not fun.
But there was something driving me to play it. I couldn't tell you what it is though. I got all the girls to fall in love with me in one game, but never maxed out anyone, partially in part because the game says you have 30 days to complete everything. Silly me, that means at the end of day 29 its over. And without any warning or anything, you're thrown into the final boss...
and he's impossible.
Like, I don't know how anyone can beat him. It ripped through my health like nothing, my attacks did so little damage I didn't even notice his health bar go down, and that was using the strongest weapon in the game. And at any time it heals, so he won't be dying...ever.
You could buy restorative items to help, but there's a good chance a player could have no money to buy any, being caught completely unaware of such an insurmountable opponent. And it doesn't matter anyway. He went through my health in two hits, 3 with armor equipped. It wouldn't be enough to whittle his health down that he would just restore to full.
It's truly a bad game. I regret losing those 10 hours.
Seriously...I'm really upset about it.
This game is just too repetitive. There are some genuinely interesting plot threads if you stick it out, and each one of the love interests has some serious drama in their closet if you get close enough. But getting close is a matter of repetitive tasks to boost stats, including having generic conversations and giving presents. Even the combat is boring.
The visual novel bits are good, but there are some very serious problems with this game that stem from poor game design
1) The quests are... well... bad. They often ask you to do things that aren't even possible to do. For example, they might ask you to swim with them but never go to the pool... Ask you to defeat X organic aliens but only metal ones will spawn...
2) Cannot buy multiples at once, cannot gift multiples at once. This is inexcusable as it does not respect player time.
3) Animations cannot be skipped. Sure, we can speed up but I don't see why the animations can't be turned off. Also, it always goes back to 1x when you close the game.
4) The dating thing... The game says 'ask for a date', but you have no idea where and when you can actually do this. The option rarely appears.
5) Don't even ask me about money, balancing, combat and all that stuff. I pretty much just used Cheat Engine to give myself tons of money to finish the game, otherwise it would probably be frustrating.
6) Even when moving around, why do I have to confirm everything? When going to the mall, why does it have to go to the plaza instead of just quickly toggling the map to select the specific destination? So many needless mouse clicks and time wasted
It's just way too tedious, and would have been far better off as a straightforward visual novel.

Just Desert is a turn-based RPG visual novel with good features added to raise affection to different girls in the camp.
You are part of the military and you are called out on the far-out dry desert into a camp for a secret mission. Defending Earth from aliens.
Once arrived it showed that we only had female military workers, we would be the only male and we had to build a steady relationship with the girls to successfully complete the different routes and missions.
The grind is all but easy and partly also luck-based.
The system of grinding affection with girls is varied. We can either go to sports, go to shooting practice, go to swim or even go to a restaurant. We can also buy different foods and items for them, but we need to be careful as girls do not like whatever we gift them, which would downgrade the affection. In order to be able to get a girl's route we need to reach a minimum affection for them within a given time or it would be impossible to trigger the girl's event. This makes it quite challenging especially for those aiming for the harem route.
My own overall conclusion is:
Just Desert offers both a good story and a challenging grind. Enemies becoming steadily stronger makes it also worthwhile to play through. All girls are fully voiced in English.
The con side for me was the grinding with getting the needed money and the time investment needed for it.
I found the patrolling part (necessary to be able to buy upgrades and gifts) boring as it ended up monotonous even while having a steady rise in difficulty. Besides this, we were very limited in possibilities, which led to it that quite a few requests to complete from a girl are not completable, because we simply lack the opportunities to complete them which then again downgrades the girl's affection for you a good bit.
Other than that I did like the story and theme. So I can recommend it further, but some people might get like me, bored with the patrolling parts.

最大的缺点就是游戏中令人难以忍受的枯燥又操作及其重复的战斗流程，难以想象制作的时候是怎么想的能让每一步都需要点击才能进行下一步，就比如一个回合，我要经历选择武器-选择攻击-选择目标-点击确定，目前为止还好，接下来到了敌人的环节，先是敌人1行动-鼠标点击一下-敌人实用技能-点击一下-敌人攻击-点击一下-伤害判定-点击一下-敌人2行动-点击一下........，如果你不点击就不会进行接下来的内容，正常回合制不应该敌人的行动都是自动进行的吗？这么多点击是要干嘛？我点不点击和敌人回合的战斗有影响吗？整个战斗期间有90%的时间都是要点击让敌人进行下一步，玩家的回合很快就结束了，敌人战斗极其拖沓，在敌人行动的动画期间（不过就是敌人冒字或者晃动几下表示攻击了，就算是这么简单，动画时间也很长）点击是没有用的，一定要等敌人每一步的动作完全结束后才可以点击进行下一个动作，战斗体验极差
如果你只是被立绘吸引对这个游戏感兴趣的话，不建议入手，糟糕的战斗会极大的破坏你的游戏体验

Just Deserts is a nice simple visual novel with a main game play loop of sim management where you focus on building yourself up, romancing the heroines, and managing limited funds. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that all the girls were fully voice acted which really elevated my opinion of the game. In my opinion the soundtrack was a real bop, especially the menu track. The story itself is kind of basic but it had its moments and I enjoyed all of the endings especially the single ending which really encapsulated that lonely feeling of parting with people you are close to. The combat while simple and easy to deal with, was however, extremely tedious because you can not skip through all the animations which in turn really made the main game feel like it was dragging on too much.
Overall Just Deserts is still a good game just a little basic, but I can still say I had fun with it. Valerya was obviously best girl.

I couldn't get through it. It wasn't the story or the difficulty that was the problem, but the interface. This has potential to be a good game, but it's frustrating.
1. The attack animations are unskippable. At a certain point of playing, I just want to resolve the combat. I don't need to watch the enemy attack animation every time.
2. I shouldn't need to click on the enemies every time. If there's one enemy, the game should auto-target. It ends up needing way more mouse movement for every action than should be required and the little things like this add up.
3. Many quests from the girls require multiple of one item. Either purchasing or giving of multiple items is not possible, instead, the game kicks you back out to the main dialog screen and you have to start over again.
4. Some quests are simply impossible like items requested before they're even available for purchase (regardless of the cost). And some quests to train or patrol with a person can't be completed because the person isn't on-duty for that period of time, resulting in an auto-fail.
If these things are fixed, I think you could have a great casual game.

This game is good. interesting premise, some interesting mechanics it seems.
But it REALLY needs skip buttons.
Buttons to skip the animations for attacks during enemy turn.
So you don't have to watch the same thing.
Over and over.
There should be a QoL feature, in the game, to make that easier to deal with.
You should be able to skip repetitive animations.
It's all well and good if you like watching them.
But there is a lot of them.
And they repeat.
The developer should do something about this.
Because isn't it kinda boring. When you get the same thing, over and over?

En dehors des combats, qui ne m'ont personnellement pas rebuté, c'est surtout un visual novel.
Le jeu a globalement une atmosphère très chaleureuse et légère, et les waifus sont attachantes ; le tout donne un résultat relaxant, paradoxal pour un jeu sur fond de guerre contre des aliens.
À tester s'il est en solde, si vous êtes intéressés par un VN détente.

The game is very interesting in how it wants to be played but is held back by just how random some parts of the game are. The art and stuff is great but I can't really say it's worth 10 bucks great.
Get it if you're that interested in playing it. Although admittedly you're not missing much at all.

Joking aside; Story is fine, art is good, the heroines/waifus are cute though the voice-overs could do with some improvement. It's overall a nice game, though the battle parts are frustratingly slow.
Though Japanese VNs and dating sims are far way better than this one, you can still find something special about this game. Sure the story is not that amazing, nor it is bad of course. It's easy to follow and not that complicated, perfect for something for you to play while taking a break from your serious, hardcore games with complex story and plenty of time playing.
The VAs and background musics are surprisingly great despite its not-that-amazing story with typical harem protagonist and stiff game mechanics. Yeah, the game mechanics are kinda stiff. There is no feature to buy or sell items more than one. You wanna sell 10 iron chunks? Select the item, hit the sell button and then confirm with 'Yes' button. Do that 10 times in a row.

作为少有的美系gal，本游戏的剧情确实有可取之处，至少挖的坑都用勉强符合逻辑的剧情圆了，音乐中规中矩，剧情和CG方面可以打八分，但我仍然不推荐购买游戏，只推荐云通关（B站有相关up的详细全通视频）主要是本gal的缺点实在太过致命：稀烂的好感度系统和更烂的战斗系统破坏了游玩观感，导致本作连及格分都达不到，10分游戏最多打5分。
本作全剧情部分耗时4小时，但战斗和送礼部分最快也接近10小时，这10小时简直就是苦痛折磨，为了好感度送礼要手点一个个送就已经很恶心了，还不能调整送礼数量，重复送礼增加的好感度还会减少。好感度任务及其看脸同时失败还会扣好感。尤其是约会，好感度会因为没约会直接锁定，做再多任务不先约会好感度也不会上涨，就更别提那个一看就只会拖时间的战斗系统了，所有敌人不是方块就是圆圈，护盾吸血这些技能是一个没少，突出一个敷衍。
明明是个单机游戏，其设计思路咋这么像杀时间的手游？除了剧情本作没有其它可取之处，战斗系统和好感系统极其欠缺打磨，甚至不如4399小游戏，建议所有看到本评测的人即使购买了也云通关即可、云通关即可、云通关即可！

A good game honestly, I just have more negative things to say about it than positive things.
First, the voice acting is mostly irritating, I got sick of them after only 30 minutes of playing. The problem is, disabling the voices makes the game really soulless, the soundtrack and sound effect are very boring.
Second, the combat. It's insanely boring and difficult, but very necessary, meaning you have to grind a lot. And if you die, you go back to the main menu, meaning you will lose every single things you have done since your last save, this game really needs an autosave. It's the only reason I don't want to play this game again, I lost over 2 hours of grinding because of this.
The characters are okay however and the story is somewhat interesting but it's difficult to progress.

Диалоги глуповатые и в целом ничем не привлекают. Главный герой типичный малолетний дурачок как в каждой первой японской визуальной новелле. Сюжет и лор ничем не цепляют. Геймплей супер однообразный, ДАЖЕ НАЧИТЕРИВ СЕБЕ ДЕНЕГ процесс ты себе не ускоряешь. 18+ контента здесь нет, поэтому набивать очки дружбы с девицами особо смысла нет. После героинь Katawa Shoujo и сюжета Army Girls, эта новелла ничем не привлекает.
Бои супер нудные. Пропустить анимацию нельзя, в итоге бой с любой букашкой превращается в скринсейвер минут на пять.
Плохо. Могло быть в сто раз лучше, но не стало.
One of my favorite visual novels though I can't 100 percent it due to bug. I hope they fix it.
No photograph-filtering copy-pasting nonsense in the background art. Respect to the artist for doing it properly. Not sure why it doesn't let you save the game during the 'tutorial' phase, but I suppose there were technical difficulties? Programming is hard. I get it. I feel your pain. The character art is serviceable, but not like mindblowingly inspiringly great or anything. Just kind of OK you know? It's made in renPy, but they did a decent job of really building on that foundation, and this is far from a barebones renPy game, so it took a lot of work. One of my favourite things about this game is the opening theme song, which seems to be a homage to the Chobbits theme, which is like hardcore memberberries for me, and many other people of culture I'm sure. And it's well done too. The singer does a good job. There's not really anything to hate here, and the general vibe is 'we're a small indie team of weebs and we did our best to make a thing do you like it? We really hope you like it please like it is was so much work for us to make!' And you know what? That's adorable. Make more things. This is what it's all about.

Number one complaint is that combat is really slow, even slower than pokemon battles on top of little to no reward beside wasting time your time with rng. Even if your not playing for gameplay and just the dating sim aspect, its a fetch quest energy/time/money management challenge, I would say my favorite thing is that the characters are fully voiced, the sound track is solid (I still cant get the shop theme out of my head), and the MC was actually funny sometimes. For me its nothing special, there was nothing making me want to come back after learning the mechanics, pretty standard as far as dating sims go.
Honestly, it is very pleasant to play, the musics are good and the general ambiance makes the game enjoyable. The only negative point that I see is that the combat are kinda boring.

修改器有且仅有一个还失效了，游戏也没有命令控制台玩show me the money，我也懒得用CE，所以这个游戏就只能差评不玩了。而且我为了挂卡一不小心把这游戏也挂了两小时退不了款，呜呜呜下次要注意了，我的123+19台币啊。

Surprised that this was more than just a visual novel. Pretty decent turned-based combat RPG system in addition to the time management aspect of interacting with your squad mates. It's also just challenging enough to keep you playing without being too frustrating in the long-term.
It's a very soft above average for me. The game's not exactly bad, but the pacing is slow, and the artwork's nice, but not exactly fantastic. And that's pretty much how the whole game feels. Like, every single bit just barely reaches into the realm of fantastic that it's good enough to make you continue playing, but not enough to really replay it. It just feels like a very "buy it on discount" game.

AN HONEST REVIEW
After playing this through I have mixed feelings on the game. For starters. the game does lack story in just about every manner possible, and even when there were story elements in my personal opinion I felt like they were placed weirdly. Another thing, is that the patrols you do start easy then proceed to get so hard to the point where you can't even do simple patrols for money (Don't even get me started on the boss fight at the end of the game that is rigged). I felt like some of the characters lacked in personality mainly Cornelia (I.M.P.O I also felt like Yumi was lacking.) Furthermore. I also felt like some of the guests were rigged to a degree, while others were just plain stupid. Now for the highlights of this game. I normally don't tend to like characters that consist of crudeness or profanity, however I think this game used both of those things in a very effective and entertaining manner. I also really liked the graphics and soundtracks personally. Another thing, I personally enjoyed was Jennifer's route. I loved her character the most finding her to be the best character out of all of them since, she provided more to the table such as a good sense of humor, development in certain moments, she had the best dates out of all them (the way they were structured that is), etc. Overall I wouldn't think to in-depth on this I got this on sale and I did truly enjoy playing through it. While, there will always be ups and downs in games I certainly have to say for me while this game does have major flaws the enjoyment through Jennifer's route made it all worth it. However again this is all my own opinion.
Pros:

Cons:
-Not the best story (Without spoiling it truly has a horrible story, theres not really a story at all if Im being blunt IMO)
-Battle design isn't the best with issues such as, fairness, etc.
-Lack in character depth for some of the characters
-End of game boss fight is rigged so be aware to stock up days before hand
-Certain quests rigged, however often they're fair quests
Conclusion: Get it if it's on sale for a cheap price, because when I bought mine while there was issues and flaws I enjoyed myself while playing it.

I found this little gem quite by accident and didn't know what quite to expect before starting out, truth be told.
Fortunately for me, 'Just Deserts' just happened to check off many of my most beloved genre preferences.
Sci-fi harem VN with a legit harem ending and pretty decent production values.
Overall, I like the cast of heroines for how tight knit they are.
My only real complaint would have to be the rather short and tight schedule the narrative puts us on.... 28 game days...
Kinda short, but doable if you're careful to manage your time, which can be hit or miss if you're the type of player who hates being rushed... like me.
But, it is an indie title, so I suppose that part is to be expected.
And, at a nice and cheap 10 USD, I suppose you get what you pay for in that regard.
Minor gripes aside, it's not super grindy and rather relaxing.... unless you're aiming for the true harem ending.
That's, gonna take a bit more effort but is still doable in one playthrough.
My personal verdict based on story, fun, preference, and overall quality and care?

I was so sick of this game by the time I was done with it but I'm not sure who the ideal audience for this game is. Let me explain. The writing surprised me by being sort of endearing and low on lecherousness. If you're looking for something lewd, look elsewhere because there is none to be found here - just some flirting. However, there aren't many scenes with the heroines. You get two dates and that's it except for some random events throughout the base and there are no dialogue choice boxes (the latter may or may not be a positive for some). The dialogue is nice but there doesn't feel like there's enough time to form a love connection with the heroine of your choice. (You can only choose one at the end unless you're grinding for the difficult harem ending.)
Most of the game will be spent on repetitive grinding. Clicking to grind your skills up with the heroines and the worst part of the game - the battles. The game actually warns you if you go into the potential for a battle and don't bring an item with you that has a high chance to prevent battles from happening. Maybe because they're difficult and not fun. If you're fighting against more than 2 enemies, no matter how much you've grinded up your skills, you're going to be in for a slog that finds you spending more money on healing items than you earn from winning the battles anyway. This culminates in a final boss that you can go screw yourself if you didn't earn enough money to kit yourself out or have your heroines bomb away for you in the arbitrary time limit allotted by the game that the game also doesn't tell you exists.
Maybe I'm a contrarian or need to get gud but I just feel there are a lot more games out there that can appeal to people in the genre in better ways and be a better way to spend your time.

对珍妮弗的执念让我坚持打通了一条线。
这款游戏简直无聊到爆炸，美式的对话搞成日式的废萌游戏，一股子违和感。战斗系统简直折磨人，打一局得浪费你不少时间，而且很无聊。
我玩了前三天就被折磨的受不了了，太无聊了，对话也很违和，唯一的亮点就是立绘了.........
This was a very enjoyable game to play. I normally play more traditional visual novels that don't require strategy or complicated thinking. I found it refreshing in a way. Some of the dialog was a bit cringe but as someone who enjoys a good story being told overall it didn't make me think any less of the game, in fact in my humble opinion it actually gave it a bit of charm. I have only played through one route and that would be Eve's. I found her to be the most interesting of the heroines. Also she is "Best Girl". :) All in all thank you Vifth Floor for a very unique experience.

通了Jennifer和Cecile两条线，纠结了很久还是给了好评。最后表白Jennifer去海滩的时候，我也开了一瓶酒一边喝一边听她诉说。从galgame的代入感来说，这个游戏赢了。
但是你说你这么好的一个galgame，干嘛非要做战斗呢？
游戏性方面毛病真的巨tm多，很难说服我这是个2016年的游戏。两次通关都没打完boss战，中途报错了就莫名其妙结束boss战进结局部分了，那个大眼睛就全程浮在我画面中间，还好最后能用画廊再看一遍。
如果你对这个游戏里的5个妹子第一印象还不错的话，还是建议你强忍着无聊的前三天玩下去，到了第四天开了城镇会有趣一些。每周目单推一个妹子还是非常轻松的。

10/10 best cubical aliens i have ever seen
最近出了中文，也算是很有诚意吧。大部分剧情还没体验到（用的英文字幕，推的比较慢），不做评价。游戏风格跟日式还是有些区别的，英文语音练练听力也是很不错的（
全通关了，30小时，玩了三次，现在基本上全完成了。每个单线，每个日常事件，还有全角色的结局。现在只剩下一个全员普通关系的结局了……实在不想去收集了。
角色都是经典模式，人物剧情也是经典四段式——了解、深入、秘密、表白。
整体看来没有太多惊喜（除了画风很棒的CG），但也没有特别差的地方。英语配音有点奇怪，但还是情感到位的。
有几个不好的问题，跟官方反馈一下：
1.结局表白时无法存档，这样就需要重复游玩BOSS战斗，才能收集其他角色的结局，非常麻烦。
2.任务单一而且枯燥，很多任务都是给女主送一些喜欢的东西，对话简单、无法获得哪怕一点好感度加成。
任务有很多都是“索要礼物”，男主角只是在付出、付出、付出，并没有什么回报。
而女主角提供的“支援”居然是需要花钱的……有些时候，她们眼睁睁的看着我因为没钱而被活活打死。
我建议增加一些互动，和好感度之外的“任务奖励”。
游戏不仅仅是剧情和文本。玩法、行为得到的反馈……这些和“剧情文本”应该是一个整体。
3.有个巨大的问题，这个游戏无法触发“成就”，我不知道是出了什么问题。我已经通关了，steam上完成的成就还是0个。
4.非常非常非常可惜的是！！没有H的内容。
以下是一些心得体会——
1.如果想开后宫的话，必须至少收集到两个“外星人幸运吊坠”，价值150万的那个。不然钱不够用。这游戏还有个名字叫“送礼物模拟器”
2.如果全员都是爱情状态，22-24日期间，某一天的早晨可以收集野餐剧情，但这样会消耗一天（会从那天的黄昏开始自动行动），慎重。
2.前几天多和妹子锻炼体力，前期巡逻依赖红毛或者指挥官，避免遇到三个怪物的情况，打不过的。前期目标就是要攒钱，到大概150万买火箭筒，有了火箭筒就可以SOLO了，不需要花钱叫支援。虽然散弹枪也很好，但火箭筒可以让你独当一面。
3.最好优先拿到火箭筒、散弹枪、最贵的甲，之后可以看情况，可以选择补上——
——自动步枪还是突击步枪（可以同时攻击两个人，主要是为了弥补火箭筒和散弹枪子弹太少了，后期护盾怪物和回血怪物太多）、
——刷怪必备“隔热甲”，它可以让你免疫火焰伤害
——医药包和破除护盾的手雷
——或者可以再拿一个甲，换甲不消耗战斗回合，等于白嫖血量
4.前期主要锻炼体力，可以做更多事情。
中期开始多游泳（先手权）、练习射击（命中率）
当然，能顺路陪妹子练更好
5.如果妹子生病了，就不能一起锻炼或者巡逻了……但不需要买药，只需要随便送个妹子喜欢的便宜礼物就好了。这可能是BUG，但真的省钱。
6.每天的早上、下午、黄昏、夜晚，都可以接到新的任务。前提是已经做完了这个角色之前安排的任务。所以——尽量做可以快速完成、而且便宜的任务。
另外，太贵的礼物不会给更多好感，喜欢（+20）和超爱（+35）的礼物无论价格多少，增加的好感都一样，重复送好感度会贬值。
7.决战记得留下至少100万，使用“终极兵器”

Let me start by saying I did like the game myself to some extent. It's not the worst game I played. It's just the cons overweigh the pros of this game. At the last battle, I tried using eve as support but the game had a script error and I had to start the fight all over again. At least the dev gave the "rollback" option to the start of the final fight but it still left a sour memory. I didn't get any achievements which isn't really a big deal however some feedback from the game would be nice. The game became easy when I got the lucky alien pendant early on and it helped me get the rpg and the shotgun. As well as working out which net me a bunch of health points to help me survive patrols. But anyways the whole point of this review is what I recommend is that it's somewhere between below average to bad. I don't see why people give this game a good review. It's a waste of time. The only good thing that came out of this game is Eve.
Horrible writing, horrible combat system, can't even skip the repeated animations. I feel my time was wasted on this one
Fighting giant cubes in the desert should not be this much fun, but having the support team you do sure does help.

买了2年多了突然就看到更新中文了，为出中文好评。内容反正就是打怪，然后在地图上挑女主进行对话过好感剧情，然后还要记点爱好啥的，剧情应该没什么特别的亮眼点就是普通gal那种（不然我应该不至于什么都记不起来。。。。），所以买这游戏主要看你喜不喜欢里面的人物设定吧。
Me and a friend played this together and we both agree it's a pretty boring game. The gameplay is very repetitive and uninteresting. I'll admit that there's some cute characters, but all in all I can't recommend this game. Also, there's no explanation for some of the mechanics so there's that as well.
A fun and cheerful game to pass time, especially when you're lonely and bored.
Sempre tive uma opinião formada sobre esses ''jogos'' tipo visual novel... nunca os considerei como jogos, pois não tem muitas opções de escolha nas ações dos personagens, é só escolher uma resposta e pronto. Enfim, este jogo é totalmente diferente desses chamados visual novel: desenho de personagens bem feito, dublagem excelente, várias opções do que você pode fazer (malhar, nadar, patrulhar, comer, etc), tem como você upar sua energia, hp, accuracy, tem como aumentar carisma com as personagens, possui batalhas por turnos e outras coisas mais.
É o tipo de jogo que vale o que custa. Nota 7/10. Recomendo!

Just Deserts was a delightful trip, despite a few shortcomings here & there. An interesting premise, a distinct & fully-voiced cast (with some actual depth besides ecchi stereotypes!), an amazing soundtrack, & actual gameplay to accompany the visual novel itself. I really enjoyed myself UP UNTIL THE END.
There's a lot going on, but for the most part, it works - despite the unexplained mechanics & lacking tutorial. The turn-based combat is a little slow, but a welcome distraction from meeting & managing your squadmates - as are the "activities" & "quests" to perform with them. The writing might jump around a little, but an earnest (& for the most part enjoyable) attempt is made (few typos, fitting jargon, etc.).
Due to how the game works, I cannot finish the game because I'm unable to complete the abrupt boss battle that the game throws at you without warning. Despite maxing out my stats. Up until now, I've been able to get through 90% of the combat without healing items or upgrading my equipment for the most part. So instead, I've been putting most of my resources towards my squadmates. The problem with this, however, is that everything in the game uses the SAME RESOURCE. Healing items, weapons, armor, combat equipment, keeping yourself - as well as your squad - happy & healthy. Even using your squadmates in battle.
So since I was so well-prepared (or so I thought) with combat, I poured the majority of my resources towards squad management (that is, non-combat), only to be thrown into a boss battle where the final enemy shields itself, takes out a quarter of my health in 1 attack, regenerates health & more. Given how time passes in the game & how you aren't given any kind of warning or checkpoint before the final conflict, I am not able to proceed, despite trying numerous methods several times each. I don't plan on starting over for another 9 hours just to try to get an ending.
It's very unfortunate & disappointing because, for how much the game does right, I can't fathom how the end can be done so wrong. But I did thoroughly & genuinely enjoy the rest of the game, so I must begrudgingly recommend it, again, with the caveat of DON'T EXPECT AN ENDING.

kinda fun. not real in depth, but overall a positive experience.
First off, Jennifer is my waifu, best girl, and if you don't pick her, then I regret to say this, but you're just playing the game wrong. What that "game" is, exactly, is a dating sim that consists of short VN segments, time and girl affection management, and turn-based combat.
First off, the story. You play as a genetically engineered soldier assigned to a desert camp to defend the world against an incoming alien invasion. To do this, you will work with a small platoon of soldiers (all of whom are sexy anime girls, of course) to find the alien mothership and destroy it, making relationships and having cute SoL segments in the nearby city along the way. The girls are your standard anime harem fare: you've got your tomboy helicopter pilot, your nerdy-but-feminine engineer, your autistic kuudere sniper, your closet otaku radio operator, and your no-nonsense colonel.
Despite the tropes, it's still entertaining to see them interact with each other, largely due to the English voice-acting, which while varying in quality, still keeps the writing more interesting that it would be on its own. Jennifer's actress is by far the best, easily selling her more emotional scenes, while still sounding quite carefree and natural in her comedic scenes. It almost sounds like something out of a TV anime dub; she honestly has the best English tomboy voice I've ever heard. Cornelia's actress, meanwhile, seems like she's trying too hard to sound British to put emotion into her lines. Yes, Cecile's French accent sounds equally fake, but I have a kink for French accents, so I personally let it slide. I don't wanna put ALL the blame on her actress, though, as the writing does not do her any favors. Despite her character being British, I barely saw any British slang in her dialogue at all (ex: she should say "What the bloody hell?" instead of just "What the hell?"), which only makes the artificiality of her accent all the more apparent. Cecile has a similar problem: her voice isn't AS lacking in emotion, but the accent still sounds fake due to the lack of French phrases. She also cusses a bit too much, and I know that makes me sound like a prude, but it takes away from her feminine charm and makes her sound too much like Jennifer, especially considering how many scenes they share together.
Anyways, onto the dating sim. The whole game takes place over 28 days. Each day, you have a set amount of stamina to use to walk around the base or city, train up your combat stats with the girls, or go out on patrol and fight aliens to gain money. Money is used both for upgrading your equipment to make combat easier, as well as buying presents or meals for the girls to complete their quests and raise their affection meters. Once a girl's affection is raised high enough, you'll be able to take them out on a date, which plays out as a short VN scene, after which they ascend to the next affection phase. Not only is the affection mechanic used for waifu reasons, but girls will also gain additional support abilities to aid you in combat.
Speaking of which, the combat, which is arguably the worst part of this game. It's a turn-based system, where you and the aliens each take turns pecking at each other with attacks until someone dies. Some aliens are weak to certain weapons (ex: EMP guns work better on robotic aliens), and certain armor types allow you to avoid certain types of damage (ex: heat-based attacks won't affect your heat-resistant armor type). If you're in a pinch, you can also call upon your teammates to give support, such as an airstrike or an ammo refill, at a not-insignificant cost in money, depending on the ability. It's all functional, sure, but it's just so sloooooow. You pick your targets, and then you watch each of the unskippable attack animations play, one by one, and since there's dialogue boxes showing the damage done after each attack, you can't just leave to make a sandwich while each turn plays; you have to sit there and click through the text boxes until the turn is over, and then you do it again, and again, until the battle is over, and then you do it all again the next battle, and since this is the main way you make money in the game, you're gonna do a LOT of battling. Either they need a more passive way of showing damage (maybe numbers that fly off the enemy after each attack ala Borderlands), or they need a way to speed up the animations, if not skip them entirely.
For my final nitpick, I hate how you can only save during the time management segments, and NOT during the VN segments. I didn't know how many days would be in the month on the first playthrough (I wrongly assumed 31), so in order to see Cecile's ending after Jennifer's, since I maxed both of them out, I had to start back from Day 25 and play aaaaaall the way up to Day 28 again. Very annoying.
Overall, despite the slow combat, and grammatically questionable writing at times, I still came out of this game with a good impression. It's more than worth playing through just to see more of the girls' personalities and backstories. Let's hope that if there's a sequel in the works, they go for Jennifer as the canon love interest, as she is indeed the perfect woman.

The only problem is the End-Boss. I tried to kill him several times, with different gear and "Skills" but i didn't finish him once.
The real issue is the constant boring grind to keep items and other characters happy, though I did like majority of characters felt like they had personality. Just combat was very straight forward, though just boring necessary grind to progress story.

Just Deserts was a very enjoyable experience for its price-point. However, at the same time, it's important to keep the price-point in mind, or you may end up being disappointed. Everything I mention in this review is in relation to the game's price-point, as if you're expecting a perfectly polished, detailed, totally clean experience, you won't be judging the game fairly.
The art and character designs are all very, very good. They're cute and charming, and the designs support their personalities well, and help differentiate them. They each have a good number of different outfits, too, which is pretty special for a game of this length and price-point. Normally, even in larger budget games, characters have one, maybe two outfits. Each character is given an appropriate amount of development and personality for the games length. They are given enough to feel like real characters, but at the same time, there isn't a crazy amount of depth to them, nor did there need to be, considering the game can be finished in about 5 hours. The voice acting is competent. Most of the actresses are good enough, and don't break your immersion, even though it's clear they recorded from home, as the quality of their mics are all pretty different. The exception to the acceptable voice acting is Cornellia, who is absolutely awful. Imagine the worst British accent you've ever heard, and it's probably about 10% worse than that. The music is also enjoyable enough. I found the battle theme to be quite catchy, and definitely the best in the game. The rest served their purpose just fine, though.
The combat system is straight-forward and easy to understand. It's not the most balanced of combat on either side, though. I never died personally, but certain battles were absolute push-overs, and some were a total grind. The game has a lot of weapons to choose from, but most of them are totally irrelevant. Worse weapons are not all that much cheaper than the better ones, so even though you have about 20 weapons to choose from, I only needed three to get through the game easily.
My major issues with the game are small things that even the slightest amount of polish could have fixed. You get quests from the girls to give them 3-5 of a certain item. When you go to the store, you need to painstakingly buy them one at a time, and then equally painfully give the girl the items one at a time. There's no reason there couldn't be a 'select quantity' button. Similarly, you can travel in the game between your base and a city. However, each time you go from one to the other, the game takes you to one specific point in each rather then letting you select where in each location you want to go. So most times, you need to open the menu to get to the city, but instead of picking the store in the city, the game takes you to the entrance, and then you need to open the menu a second time to get to the store. Once again, it would be very easy to just let you quick travel to a specific destination instead.
Another deadly sin to me is one very immersion shattering moment. There is a character who the game goes out of their way to tell you cannot swim. And you get a few scenes of others trying to teach her how to swim without much success. However, you can ask this girl to do a swimming mini event with you over and over again, and her sprite shows her swimming like a fish. Someone REALLY dropped the ball there.
There are a fair share of bugs, too, and TONS of questionable balance issues. For example, there is a sniper who provides support. If you use her support, you're only supposed to be able to target one enemy with it, but if you just click 'back' before picking a target, the support remains, but she hits all three enemies. Her support also costs $15, but her second support is her doing the same ability, but for three turns in a row. However, this costs $60, so there's absolutely no reason to ever use it. There is no cool-down period on her first support, and the second does not do any additional damage, so essentially, her second support costs you an extra $15 for absolutely nothing. Item prices are also all over the place and seem to make little sense.
Even though it seems like I said more bad than good, Just Deserts was a very enjoyable experience for what it was. I had a lot of fun playing it, and it was quite endearing and a nice breath of fresh air for a dating sim. I can definitely see myself revisiting the game every now again to try new routes. The battles are fun enough, characters charming enough, and visuals appealing enough to keep you coming back for more. Would I have been satisfied if this was a $30+ game? No. Not at all. But the game absolutely gives you your moneys worth. Definitely check Just Deserts out, but remember to keep your expectations realistic.
