I bought the collector's edition back in the day, to which I still have my extras like the InGen badge. I beat the game on my MacBook and thought the first episode was excellent and the rest was "meh". Rebought it and I gotta say, this game is lots of fun for JP fans. It's definitely worth the money if you have it. I splurged for my birthday and am glad I have this game in my library for my future kids to play, as well.

The only reason I am not giving this game a negative review is because it is Jurassic Park. The best it can achieve is 'Mixed', but that is not an option. There is very little positive to say about the game, other than it is kind of cool to own a bit of Jurassic Park game history on Steam, the original soundtrack that is taken from the movie, and other seeing than some things from the movie from a different perspective. The story, characters and gameplay are very poor overall. This game cannot stand on its own, it is only held up by the IP and barely at that.

Игра откровенно посредственная, но все равно играть в нее относительно увлекательно. Здесь даже пазлы какие-никакие есть, тут ДУМАТЬ НАДО. Впрочем, они полнейший примитив и проходятся без проблем.
Кутуе тут тоже зверские относительно других игр телтейл - прожимать А и Y нужно со скоростью света, иначе гамовер.
Что касается привязки к первому кинчу - она минимальная. Лишь в самом начале встречается труп персонажа оттуда и баночка со спермой. Всё. Дальше всё оригинальное. Так что кинч можно и не смотреть.
Стоит ли в это играть? Возможно... если нравятся все эти нелепые динозавры, которые якобы существовали. Зря что ли ребята столько лет гранты пилят и выдумывают рептилоидный лор уровня вахи про всяких улугбекзавров узбекистанисов?

This game is a goldmine of memes and death scenes.
A better title for this game would be, "1000 ways to die by dinosaur."

Bon petit jeu Telltale sur l'univers de Jurassic Park. Le jeu se déroule juste après la fin du premier film où l'on incarne une mercenaire envoyée récupérer les échantillons d'ADN de Nedry. Certe le jeu n'a pas de graphismes extraordinaires, mais on prend plaisir à découvrir une nouvelle aventure JP et retrouver les lieux du premier film. A faire pour tous les fans de la franchise.
I'm really trying to like this game, as it's made with such love for the franchise and presents the movie universe nicely, which is clearly Telltale's strength.. bringing a movie world to life. Atmosphere is bang on, and voice acting is solid.
However, Telltale's biggest weaknesses are also very much on display here, and man does this game frustrate.
I don't mind QTE's, but keep them short, and keep them fair. Having to replay an ENTIRE section, with unskippable cutscenes, JUST to get back to the very same point I apparently failed at, only to repeat the same sequence perfectly, but then be told I didn't... to THEN have to sit through it ALL OVER AGAIN, will have you tearing your hair out. It kills any goodwill the authentic movie vibes established. And now my cursor is invisible, again... great... urgh...
There's better Telltale games out there, and better Jurassic Park games too.
Telltale’s Jurassic Park: The Game is mixed bag. It really leans into nostalgia, with familiar characters, iconic locations, and several genuinely tense dinosaur encounters.
Some choices actually feel meaningful, and while it is not exactly cinematic, a few scenes do a solid job of building suspense and keeping you engaged.
The story introduces new characters and situations while tying into the original movie, which made me curious to see how everything would unfold.
The voice acting is alright overall. It is not award winning, but it gets the job done and fits the tone of the story. Some performances are a bit flat, but others bring enough energy and personality to make the dialogue feel natural and believable. Combined with the atmosphere and soundtrack, it helps the game capture that Jurassic Park feel, even when the visuals show their age.
That said, the game is overloaded with annoying quicktime events.
They appear constantly and get repetitive, which can turn exciting moments into frustrating button-mashing exercises.
The pacing is uneven, some characters feel stiff as fossils, and the puzzles are extremely easy, adding very little real gameplay value.
The graphics are dated, but that is expected from an older game, so it never really took me out of the experience.
Even with all the quicktime events and easy puzzles, I was still interested enough in the story to play all the way to the very end. There are genuinely exciting moments, unexpected twists, and enough tension to keep you curious throughout the chapters.
While the game is far from perfect, it does a decent job of delivering a story-driven Jurassic Park experience.

The game is good. But QTEs so awful. This game is like "Dark Souls" of QTE.
I think this is a great game for any big JP fan. This game takes place right after the events of the first movie which is a really cool premise! It is important to keep in mind that it isn't canon in any way but still, very cool. There are certain problems though, such as the raptors existing in the game. This is because in the movie, there were only 3 raptors. 1 was locked inside the freezer room and the 2 others were killed by rexy in the visitor center, however I don't really mind. This is because everything else is great in my opinion. I liked all of the characters, especially Nima. I believe Zora Bennett from JW rebirth could take some notes from her, lol. Nima is also a mercenary but a billion times more of an interesting and fleshed out character. The troodons were a very interesting addition. They tapped into a certain kind of horror which the JW movies for example have never managed to capture and well, most likely never will. When this game came out, it received a lot of hate for its simplistic gameplay but I couldn't care less. It's a telltale game, you're here for the story and characters, not gameplay. Overall, I highly recommend it.
If you are thinking about getting a key for this game, get it. I played it from start to finish in one sitting and i didn't get bored for even a second

I recently took the time to rewatch Jurassic Park, one of the best movies I've ever seen, and remembered that Telltale had made this game, and I was really curious because I'd never played it.
Honestly, I really love Telltale's modern games, but this time I'm really tired of the QTE mode that's always present in every moment of this game. The story is interesting, and I don't know if it's canon or not. I've only gotten to episode 2 and I'm really tired of playing this game, especially the QTE mode.
Well... Telltale has finally learned and can make a much better game after Jurassic Park The Game, but maybe I'm biased toward this game because I always like anything Telltale Games and i hope they can make a comeback soon.

It's a shame this was removed from steam. This has been sitting in my library like a digital paperweight for years, and I finally got around to what I would describe as the most difficult Telltale game. It has a lot of "mash x to not die" moments, and even has a death counter. Bring this back along with both seasons of Minecraft Story Mode, please.

Telltale games BEST game. Seriously, from the dialog to the character/set design it is perfect. I am an avid lover of JP and this is better than all the trash they've been putting out recently. THIS should have been the next movie after JP 3. A little laggy with the QTE on PC, but it feels like it was made for PS3 over other platforms, so I'm not surprised it feels better on a controller than KB. By no means unplayable. 100% recommend this game if you can get your hands on it!!
Another out of licence telltale game. The playthroughs warrant a watch on youtube if you’re into the IP. Alternates between guided tour puzzles and running for your life quick time events. Needed more extras to kill off, apparently there’s only three people working at Jurassic Park... Is the security guard at the start okay? It is weird choosing dialogue options for the whole party when the divorced dad is clearly the focus. They’re all quite likeable in their own ways, especially the mercenaries.

really hope this game gets back on the steam store, its super annoying to pay from a third party game holder which typically is listed way over then its actual price, overall the games still great, graphics aren't bad and the story is nice so far.

This game tells a pretty good story and adds some great lore to the original Jurassic Park movie. This is basically an interactive movie, so as a video game it falls a bit flat as you just press quick time buttons, but the story and atmosphere carry it to be enjoyable enough. 6/10

Absolutely incredible game even in 2025, I've wanted to play this since I was a young child and it sure lived up to my nostalgia which pretty engaging characters and entertaining quick-time events and a very interesting story.
I just 100% this game and I let me tell you, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Its old, buggy, and doesn't have the best gameplay but I don't care, this is still one of my favorite Telltale games. I'm glad after all these years I could finally get my grubby hands on this game. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Even though this game is no longer available, meaning this review is completely pointless, I hope someone reads this so they can give this underrated game the recognition it deserves. Thanks to those who read this.

A very cool and imaginative even if it is non canon addition to the Jurassic franchise! The characters are good, and the choices, while not having an impact on the story as a whole, still provided a good level of immersion and were fun. I loved seeing how the story unfolded, and the Troodons are super creepy.

Gostei da ligação directa com o filme, pois traz de volta o sentimento de perigo e tensão. No geral, Jurassic Park: The Game é interessante para quem gosta da franquia e quer explorar mais da história do primeiro filme, mas a jogabilidade é limitada e Graficamente, o jogo não impressiona, especialmente os modelos dos personagens humanos, mas os dinossauros estão bem desenhados e fielmente recriados. A banda sonora, por outro lado, é excelente, com os temas icónicos de John Williams a trazer de volta a nostalgia do filme.

Have you ever tryd to watch a movie or something on tv (not sure why you would but each to their own) & like this (quite long) sentence it kept getting (hey id just thought id let you know you should push left >> on this review right now ok?) interrupted by pointless requests that really (oh also you might wanna restart a few more times as the controller doesnt work and actually the (mouse) wich is actualy KB doesnt always work either) detract from the story telling narrative in a way that makes you want to refund this game this paragraph and its fictional tv
So even if this monumental mind shart does work wich it did ..then it didnt for seemly no reason?! The entyre idea is totally self defeating..
after just under 2 hours trouble shooting restarting $@!!? knows how many times, checking reinstalling only to find mouse not responding also then FINALLY getting to the next scene and i feel like ive won, the episode has started but i dont care i won close game try another day with a loaded shotgun!

Este Telltale tiene algunas cosas rescatables que otros no tienen y otros defectos que te dejan pensando "en serio?".
Me gusta el agregado de las medallas por capitulo que solamente pueden mejorarse si haces todos los QTE a la perfeccion, le agrega un poquito de dificultad a una saga que de por si ya es muy facil, algunas de las partes de accion que involucran varios QTE estan excelentes porque requieren una gran capacidad de reaccion, los personajes en general tienen buenos dialogos, al menos hasta los primeros dos capitulos, luego en la segunda mitad del juego, el desarrollo de los personajes y la historia en general se caen a pedazos.
Tambien me he encontrado con varios glitches en las interacciones del primer episodio, me paso 3 veces seguidas de querer inspeccionar algo y que el monólogo del personaje se repitiera por segunda vez.
A pesar de algunos aciertos, me duele reconocer que es de las peores entregas de Telltale, lo recomendaria a muy bajo precio, dado que ha tenido sus momentos memorables.

If you own this game and haven't played it before telltale games shut down most of its games this is the one definitely to play!
It's an underrated classic from telltale games and I just realized I had this in my library. This game was my first introduction to telltale games and their potential for storytelling. It's a shame you can't buy this game or some of their other classics like game of thrones series but these games are seriously good.
If you liked the walking dead you'll like this and hopefully one day when laws change or if game preservation becomes seriously important then I hope one day more people can play this classic.

ゲームプレイのQTEは少しやりづらい部分もありましたが、やはりTelltale Gamesの提供するストーリーは非常によくできている。映画版で登場しなかった恐竜も見る事ができます。これを実写版の続編にしてほしかったくらい名作と思いました。
Although some of the gameplay QTEs were a bit challenging, the story is still very well told, which Telltale Games has provided. You also get to see dinosaurs that did not appear in the movie version. I thought it was such a masterpiece that I wish this had been a sequel to the live action version.

Auch wenn das Spiel jetzt schon einige Jahre auf dem buckel hat, ist es nach wie vor eine grandiose Ergänzung zum ersten Jurassic Park Film!
Die Grafik ist für die damalige Zeit einfach nur super! Und die Story ist recht fesselnd. Es gibt hier und da einige Punkte die ich nie verstanden habe, über die an aber dennoch hinwegsehen kann (Stichpunkt hier wäre bspw. Dr. Gerry Harding, der im Film um einige Jahre älter gewesen ist).
An sich macht dieses Spiel sehr viel Spaß. Die ganzen Anspielungen an den ersten Film sind cool und lösen in mir einen gewissen Nostalgieschub aus!
