ローグライクは初めてですが楽しめます。ファンタジーではなくSF調なのが良いです。ターミナルでメッセージを読むとシャットダウンしてしまうバグがあります。
This game is just pure crack to the right mindset. Surprisingly great controller setup, weapons feel visceral, it never gets old clearing a room with a shotgun and hearing the gibbing and seeing body parts fly across the room. In a world of grindy roguelites, this has no meta progression (apart from unlocking challenges and trying out harder difficulties) but it really, really scratches that itch of "one more go". The atmosphere is awesome, and figuring out optimised builds is lots of fun. Each of the classes DOES play very differently once you level up a few times.
Yes, it's a bit samey at the start, but once you've gotten a few runs under your belt you can just smash through the first few levels without blinking and hone your build to a killing machine.
I didn't think it'd be fun hacking robots, but it is. And there are some great loot drops, Overlord I'm looking at you.
And yes, the nostalgia factor is strong from someone who grew up playing "that game", the sound fx are lifted straight out of it.
The soundtrack is just awesome dumb metal and it works so well.

Even better, it is, as advertised, a tactical turn-based grid-mapped shooter and actual (no, really) fairly Rogue-like Roguelike, not in the common meaningless non-meaning of the word, but in the sense of having to explore many rooms and corridors and make do with what equipment and supplies you can loot while dealing with lots of foes and other unpredictable (at least on the first play-through) chaos, including some foes that may fight each other in the right circumstances, environmental hazards and opportunities, potion-like effects, lots of improvable abilities and equipment.
It's pretty beer-and-pretzels, and not nearly as deadly difficult as actual-Rogue, but it got me to think, learn, use tactics, pay attention, be careful, nearly die fairly often, and have lots of fun wiping out lots of NPC foes.

Es solo de disparos, muchos disparos, de esconderte en las esquinas e ir disparando a los enemigos. Me lo he pasado en modo fácil como Marine, pero en modo normal se me hace difícil, por que es difícil. No es un juego fácil.
El mundo es tipo Doom o Alien, para que nos entendamos, el mundo es una nave espacial y luego diferentes escenarios como bases abandonadas, cuevas, subterráneos, etc... donde han sido invadidos por criaturas demoníacas, y tu has de ir cargándotelas e ir avanzando nivel a nivel, usando ascensores, consiguiendo mejoras a base de puntos de experiencia en habilidades o traits de tu personaje.
También hay un buen surtido de armas y necesitas las municiones para tus armas, las consigues en cofres donde te pueden dar vida, armas, blindaje para el soldado, etc...
Tienes un inventario limitado, y ahí puedes llevar tres armas y la munición para ellas, botiquines, llaves, granadas de distinto uso (de humo, explosivas, corrosivas, de gas, eléctricas), bombas, trajes anti veneno, etc..
Luego como en Doom puedes conseguir armadura para el cuerpo y casco, según el tipo serán mas resistentes o no.
Puedes escoger tres clases antes de iniciar la partida, como son el Marine, Scout o una clase tipo Ingeniero, según cual elijas tendrás unas ventajas u otras.
Está llena de cositas así, escoger clase, escoger traits, ir progresando el personaje, mejorar blindajes, cambar armamento, mejorar el armamento. etc. Veis la idea general?
Es un juego que puede dar la impresión de ir jugándolo rápidamente por que si te mueves todo se mueve, así que vas pulsando teclas de avanzar y moverte y te da la impresión de que todo sucede en tiempo real, pero cuidado, no has de dejarte engañar por esa apariencia, como te digo si no te mueves ningún enemigo se mueve, ahí está la clave de todo, el jugar sosegado, mirando que hacer, cubriéndote en las esquinas, no entrar como un loco, a veces es útil pegar unos tiros a la lejanía y escuchar si alguien se lamenta...y actuar poco a poco, sin prisa.
Como digo no es un juego de acción, que lo parece, es un juego Roguelike puro, donde las cosas solo suceden tras tu actuar, actuar sería moverse, disparar, abrir una puerta, un cofre, etc... entonces los enemigos se mueven, actúan, tras de ti.
No hay nada que suceda al mismo tiempo, o te mueves tu, o se mueve el enemigo, los dos a la vez, nunca. Es por turnos.
Tiene música cañera, pero al final la desactivé por que me cansaba y no te deja pensar bien, pero eso a gustos, prefiero escuchar los disparos solamente y a las criaturas y las explosiones.
Hay variedad de enemigos, desde simples soldados a tipo demonios, imps como en doom que disparan bolas de fuego, drones, enemigos robots metálicos, etc... está bien la variedad, y como no, enemigos finales, en cada final de fase te encuentras con algún jefe final y dan batalla buena, es normal que te maten.
Yo lo recomiendo, es un buen juego pero como digo hay que darle tiempo y jugarlo sosegadamente, si vas atolondrado no pararás de morir. Un saludo!

Think Doom, but turned into a turn-based roguelike. Easy to jump into a game, easy to lose and restart.
Excellent traditional roguelike that has much shorter runs than many of the same genre (a few short hours per run, can be completed very quickly once you know what you're doing). More geared towards a quick and dirty run & gun sort of gameplay than the often slower and more tactical experience this genre offers. A lot of extremely difficult challenges to go for beyond what the 100% clear requires for achievements, if you want more. Fun, solid, and not too hard once you figure out some workable builds. Now onto Jupiter Hell Classic.......

has an fps limit option but its only setting is that of your monitor refresh and even at only 100 fps my gpu is cooking forcing you to visit the nvidia control panel to apply an fps limit.

developer doesn't seem to think its all that important of a feature to add even though he could be saving people a ton of power draw by letting them play the game at values as low as 5 or 10 fps let alone 30 or 60.
you can take many trips through the menu to zoom the camera in and out which should be bound to a key by default but you simply have no option for this and are forced to play way zoomed out so you can see everything but very little of the detail or trip through the menu again to set the value lower but not too low to the point you lose information by not seeing enough of your surroundings. its crazy that mousewheel or some two sets of keys arent bound to what feels like a super basic quality of life type of feature. you find yourself relying heavily on the map.
feels like time would be better spent in most any other rogue style game as this one has you constantly reloading and the cover system feels weak, was hoping for actual stances but even being behind wall cover you are still as much of a target as standing around in the open, im sure the percent chance to be hit is less but it doesnt feel like you are around a corner as visually represented because a bullet is passing right through the wall hitting you, granted when you attack from that position you dont really make much effort to not shoot through the wall yourself it feels and looks like so i dunno man, i feel like this game would work 5000% better with 2d graphics, you could even keep the physics and stuff, think soldat physics or cortex command. I was weighing a refund and was like nah just hang with it but boy does it just feel limited and sort of bailed on but there hasnt been an update in nearly 2 years. so i guess its a refund for now.

and I guess based on that expose as much graphics options as possible. I don't think I saw the option for anti aliasing whatsoever and depending on the static fixed zoom setting I had chosen I noticed a bit of aliasing for sure. even a "pixelated" or downsampled option to help mask stuff like that would be great. maybe its possible i can run fullscreen and set a lower resolution while it scales up to a 1080p window or do fullscreen window and change the resolution. i might tinker with it for a few more minutes before refunding but this is firmly a 5 dollar max expenditure and I feel like the close to 7 I paid was too much. major points for doing a custom game engine but its not enough to win my heart here. the stuff this game does that pains me is apparent and immediate and to go years and years and years and years without the developer even thinking about it is not great. will check back in 10 years or so when the big update comes out or the remaster or whatever.

I liked it to begin with but there's no progression or anything to work towards. You could get right to the end and die and that'll be it, back to the start as if nothing happened. Nothing to show for it.... I feel like there needs to be something like being able to start a new run with extra equipment or a weapon or different location or checkpoint or anything.

Since I like retro-gaming I really like this game. I like the story and it's a challange to play.
I've tried desperately to find a game that does what this one does for quite a while now; about two years or so if my memory serves me correctly. Initially, I liked the premise but hated the execution and tried to find a better alternative. After what must be a dozen or so games, I can say with certainty that nothing does it better. Simple enough to pick up and play in a few minutes without getting floored, but complex enough to provide fun several dozens of runs later. There's more than enough leeway to experiment and fine-tune things to your liking, and good loot is usually abundant, with ample opportunity to change things mid-run if you so desire. On a similar note, weapon balance, while a bit eyebrow-raising at times, is good enough that you can enjoy just about anything, even though some things are a bit better at making diced demon than others. Also, losing really isn't that frustrating; that "one more run!" quality is always there, and, best of all, I have never felt like it was a job I paid for (which is a problem a lot of Rogue-likes suffer from, like Quasimorph) or required a second monitor displaying wiki information to enjoy. It's simple fun. You can rush through it, you can take your time, and you can make things as forgiving or miserable as you want them to be. I've enjoyed it enough to have run the gamut from disdain to wholehearted acceptance, so much so that it's given my friends the running joke, "Excellent argument, demon! One issue: I have a machete." Go mince some monsters already!
Super fun and my kind of game! Edit: I saw a negative review saying barely anyone can get past the first level and that it's unforgiving on Medium difficulty. After a couple of tries going straight to Hard mode, I got the hang of it and it has been getting easier to play over time. I don't the game is "unforgiving."
Jupiter Hell的前身是DoomRL，一款基于经典FPS游戏Doom而roguelike化的回合制射击游戏。后来由于版权问题，不得不将背景更换为Jupiter。日前原作者又发售了Jupiter Hell Classic，并直白地说了一段拗口令，Jupiter Hell Classic is the demake of a remake of a roguelike unmake of a famous 1993 FPS shooter，来说明前生今世，以期读者能通晓其牙后慧，目前尚在EA中。
回到Jupiter Hell，该游戏最显著的特点，即是射击——以远程为主要输出方式的classic roguelike（近年来还有Cogmind）——而大多数classic roguelike均以各种近战战士为主，远程则以物理系弓箭手和魔法系法师为常见配置。远程用枪械射击，这便是游戏最鲜明的底色。
那么怎样突出每种枪械的特点呢？游戏通过伤害与射程（反映了命中率）来体现。射程上，以我最喜欢的auto rifle来说，其射程为2/4/7——2格以内命中率为50%，3-4格命中率100%，5-7命中率线性衰减，到第8格衰减为0，即之前三格分别为75%、50%和25%。这样每种枪械都有自己的优势区间。比如pistol射程为4/6，则是没有最小惩罚，4格以内均为100%命中，但代价则是伤害较低，每次单发16伤害，而前者则为9*3=27伤害，更适合中距离倾泻火力。大体上来说，游戏内的武器主要有melee、auto、semi、shotgun、launcher、pistol、rotary、SMG，优势区间也符合直觉，近战应急防身，自动中程输出，步枪远程高伤，霰弹近程群伤，榴弹爆炸群伤，手枪均衡中庸，旋转中程倾泻，冲锋一无是处（？）。除此之外，还可以通过使用三种pack，来给枪械增加插件以提升性能，有三种通用的pack，分别用来提供容量、精准和伤害性能（并非随机，根据插件技能提供稳定的、更多的可选范围），此外还有一些稀有插件会提供独特的效果。除了大路货，游戏内还会有紫色（exotic）的和绿色（unique）的装备。紫色通常是有一个独特的词条（显著改变枪械/护甲能力，但也可以上一两个插件），绿色通常完全不能修改，并且需要经验来升级以逐步提升效果，最多到lvl 3。射击需要子弹，护甲可能损坏，背包空间有限——在紧迫的逃亡中，你需要管理好这一切。
游戏的主要build空间，除了枪械和护甲，便是天赋。共有三名角色，每名角色有五个大师天赋，而每局游戏只能选择一个大师天赋。这些通常极大地增强角色的输出或防御能力。高阶技能通常有前置要求，每升一级提供一个技能点，在大多数build中，技能点都较为紧缺，以至于每个技能点都必须用在刀刃上，甚至于开局直接计算好到14级的技能路线（此时刚好解锁大师天赋3级，通过基本也是16级左右），规划感和获得感还是挺明显的。这些技能特色鲜明，不同角色也有区分度。很多技能绑定了某一类武器，和武器共同构成了本作最有趣的部分。以手枪为例，输出较为平庸，但可以使用双持+子弹倾泻，让每把手枪射击两次，同时大幅降低弹药消耗，犹如孤胆枪手，弹雨奔走；或者将霰弹枪的射程大幅提升，所见之处，锥形一扫，通通扑倒；或者我最喜欢的技能，移动之后射击仅需要1/4回合，同时伤害增加50%——在初见时未觉得非常好玩，上手了才能感受到风筝的魅力，甚至是用霰弹枪风筝（霰弹枪命中会令敌人减速一回合，更适配）！还有很多有趣的技能，姑不列举。
构筑成竹于胸，剩下则是在地图中实现。游戏共有四个区域，从木卫一到木卫四，前三张图均七层，最后一张图则有4层。最后一张图迎战BOSS，在25层（为什么不是26层，祖宗之法何在！）。每一张图会从四个branch中随机三个，在二三四层会分别有一个入口，由于地图也不可返回，只能选一个进入，最早出来也都六层了。每个branch均有特殊的奖励，往往可以根据build方向去某些branch碰运气。Jupiter Hell虽然没有局外成长和解锁（为什么要说虽然？），但也有相当多的知识需要去wiki里面看（譬如branch的特殊任务，需要准备的道具，奖励有哪些），或者安装一个wiki mod可以游戏内速览。游戏内看风味文字，wiki上看效果说明，也算是classic roguelike不可不品的环节之一。
由于是评价classic roguelike，所以美术、音乐不太关乎轻重，而QoL也差强人意，除了可能不小心踏入楼梯就进入下一层（可用mod避免）似乎也没过多问题。整体而言，Jupiter Hell在游戏风味和乐趣是都是十足的，同时在策略性上也足够有操作体验，怎样开图占据地利、怎样拉扯分割战场、怎样找掩体激情对射、怎样切换多种武器应对不同距离和类型的敌人，这些都是需要思考并且在实战中不断增进理解的。另外怎样选择branch猎取特定道具、怎样规划技能路线提升战力、怎样保证所用武器弹药充足、怎样预备BOSS对策，则是相比于前者战术而言更加战略上的。
如果你是classic roguelike爱好者，那么非常推荐体验一下别样风情；或者只是单纯想玩这个游戏，也可以加入QQ群1022100704交流。关于游戏的汉化虽然已有之，由于游戏痼疾排版无法调整好，只能勉强看看，况且还有神秘闪退之虞，存档顷刻乌有，推荐还是英文游玩较佳。

这里补充一些小tips，希望可以帮助各位游玩：
1，几乎任何时候，你都应该在掩体后射击，以降低敌人命中率。在掩体后wait一回合，也会进一步增加闪避。敌人在视野内，继续wait会自动预瞄准，可以提升命中率。两种常见的情况，一是单长廊你在拐角，敌人远处徐徐来，过远直接开枪命中率极低，最好先瞄准到一个可接受的命中率；二是勾引敌人过来（这个技巧超大量使用），你在如下的地方以逸待劳，加之地利，往往可以低战损解决群怪，其中#为墙，A为怪，@为自己。另外，几乎任何时候，你都不应该在空地上和怪多轮对射（除非能够瞬秒），没有掩体，四面受敌，你的脆弱超乎你的想象。

2，第一层会固定掉落几把基础武器，开局的小手枪应迅速汰换掉。个人习惯前期较好用的有auto rifle（中程掩体对射），shotgun（应对群怪和近战），这两把是必须的，第三把可以看捡到什么好的过渡武器（Nightmare难度下多次尝试，通用武器里似乎grenade launcher是最优解）。shotgun要注意结束战斗上好子弹，别下次战斗切出来是空枪。另外要灵活地切换不同武器应对局面。
3，第一张图的branch，最好的是rift，进去后清完怪，把每一层的阀门打开，毒气弥漫，再去下一层。到ending里清理完怪，右上角打开阀门，去左下角一处发光的绿色处，走上去，就会获得内在毒免。rift第一层固定掉落一个env pack，可以免疫异常50回合，酌情使用。另外，rift会掉落的头盔和护甲，均有+15%暴击率，而掉落的武器均有+25%爆伤，亦可可自行斟酌build是否刚需。
4，控制台才能打开的门，里面往往都极为危险。没有充足准备，贸然开门，会大惊喜。一种逃课的方式，是在远处耗费不少火力拆掉门（偶尔某些门免疫伤害），试试能不能勾引一些怪出来，徐图之，总比脸开门强得多。同时这也引申出另一个技巧。日常开图中，为了安全起见，你【应该】在远处打掉每一扇门再过去，防止被群怪贴脸冲锋。好的，你知道的，这并不是【必须】，只是【应该】。尤其【应该】在你亲手打开一扇门，而对面欢迎你的时候。
5，第一张图的BOSS，可以通过某种卡门的打法，操作得当，近乎无伤。原理为，一回合伤害BOSS进入阈值，他就会转变形态发射三轮导弹。这个导弹无法穿过门，而这个门是无敌的，你可以手动关闭。因而最理想的情况，就是你站在门外，看着门内BOSS进入你视线，直接火力足够打入阈值，看到他变换，然后手动关门。发射三轮后，再等一回合开门，此时BOSS大概率在走动，而非射击开门的你。此时你输出火力，如此循环即可（但想要达到阈值没那么轻易。30gate+8armor，需要38伤害，就看来什么武器了。有个紫色武器16的pierce伤害，如果打个full magazine +3伤害插件，那么刚好是（16+3）*2=38，perfect！attention！另外也可以同样krak炸弹削护甲，但捡到与否随缘）。BTW，这应该算作者设计好的打法，毕竟第三张图BOSS就没法卡在门外了……
6，该游戏的子弹的掉落是有地域特色的。第一张图主要掉落9mm，第二张图则是掉落7.62，第三张图就是energy cells，子弹也对应不同的枪支，如非特殊玩法，最好与时俱进，不要刻舟求剑，以免弹尽粮绝。当然霰弹枪用的12ga和步枪用的.44在弹药补给天赋下往往可以支持使用。子弹的节奏需要自己多玩来感受，尤其子弹不充足，不要进入某些ammo hungry的branch。
7，一力降十会。第一张图可以说是过渡时期，随便捡点破烂都可以打通（甚至不点技能），但到了第二张图就会要求你有看得过去的输出，后两张更是高要求，有些怪如果不能秒杀，非常麻烦。前三张图打完一般刚好是6、10、14级，可以点出大师天赋的一二三级，这也是输出爆发增长的时候。伤害主要取决于所选武器的base damage，伤害相关的插件，暴击率和暴击伤害（枪械、护甲、utility以及天赋来源，暴击率最好能到100%，比较稳定不用赌，好降低战损），额外增伤（天赋居多，utility有时候也会给），构筑时候需要考虑到这些方面，合理规划，尤其是某些三级utility准备去哪个branch找。
8，第二张图的主题是冰冻，BOSS也是相关机制。Dig Zone的ending里有冰冻免疫，也是要把branch前面几层的冰冻阀门打开。打BOSS要非常注意走位，有env pack也可以吃。另外还有个对策是燃烧瓶，几乎可以烧一半血（似乎是上20层左右，21*20/2=210，BOSS就是400血），路上捡到可以预备。
9，第三张图就会出现非常难缠的两种怪，术士和美杜莎。如果你见过了，你就知道我在说什么。至于对策，只有杀！好吧，美杜莎一般会更难缠一些。可以用gas损耗点血，以求压低血线到一击内。BOSS是个分身怪，打到阈值会幻变两个分身和本体，只有射击到本体才会取消分身。这里有个动画bug，分身那一回合，谁射击了你，谁就是本体（好吧这真该是bug咯，总不能是对眼尖的@的奖励）。哦对了，前三个BOSS都不是必打的，直接往出口狂奔也可以，谁还没有个落魄的时候呢！
10，第四张图，几乎算是纯收尾。如果build到这里还没成，那几乎也不会成了，而不成型的build在这里会举步维艰，各个怪都有战损。如果你build大成，这里就是闲庭信步，见谁秒谁。第二层杀光所有怪，会开启一个branch入口，非常难打，并没有什么【必要】打。好的，你知道的，只是没有【必要】打，而尤其有【必要】打，在你自觉无敌以至于寂寞的时候——但打了，也只是平添另外的寂寞～
11，最终BOSS比较看硬实力。首先如果你是近战，第一阶段最好按住shift攻击，否则直接按方向键攻击，他转阶段会在脚下造成100伤害，多神秘呀！其次第一阶段，通用的削弱方式是脸上扔smoke或者gas，之后狂扔krak手雷（可在dante一层弹药机制作，多做几个，pierce伤害破甲效率高）。第二阶段damage gate是80，所以要拖几回合，顺便清清小怪，清理小怪效率在BOSS中也非常重要。第三阶段基本上比较孱弱，如果你战力尚可。若有tele kit，最好也在这个阶段用。更详细的各个BOSS对策也可参见wiki。如果你击杀了BOSS，那么会直接Connection Lost，都没有个炫酷的庆祝，直接出来结算页。好嘛，事况紧急，算是逃出生天了呢，Congratulations！
I discovered and started with Jupiter Hell Classic about a month ago, mostly due to the DRL mod in the Steam Workshop, and got hooked immediately. I watched videos of Jupiter Hell for a few weeks and didn't think I would enjoy it as much. I appreciated the masterpiece of Classic so much that I eventually just bought this version knowing I would have one more to play in the future. But after three hours of playing and some tweaking of the visuals, I am starting to really get into this version also. All three of these games (including DRL) are awesome.
It took me a while to get used to not having diagonal movements, and some adjustments of the visual settings (for my budget laptop) and I am able to see items and enemies a lot easier. Evolving custom trait builds for each run is a very fun aspect in a doom-style game.

If you pitched the idea of turning a run and gun boomer shooter into a traditional roguelike, I'd say that sounds like it defeats the purpose. Boomer shooters are all about adrenaline and fast paced action. Roguelikes are about planning and resource management. Seems like a dumb idea.
This game proves that the concept can work, and it does so by making the combat extremely fast paced while ALSO very deep. It borrows a lot of mechanics from tactics games like XCOM, but with extremely quick time to kill. It's deep enough to appeal to a roguelike player without forcing you to spend a lot of time planning.
But I'm more impressed by the actual RPG elements and class design. It does a good job of making every system simple while having them affect each other in such a way that a lot of depth emerges. There's not a ton of classes(3 base classes which fork into 5 subclasses each for 15 total), but they're different enough that things stay fresh. If you enjoy boomer shooters and roguelikes this is a win in my eyes.

Fun rougelite inspired by the classic Doom games. If you don't try all the different challenge modes, the game will probably get boring quickly. Does have nice variety with the three characters and different builds.
Based on the achievements:
90% of people complete the tutorial. Less than 10% of people ever beat this on Medium. Barely 10% beat it on Easy. Half don't even make it out of the first area.
There's a difference between "unforgiving" and "punishing for no good reason." This game is squarely in the latter. The example that made me uninstall: I was deep in a medium difficulty run (after a half-dozen false-starts following a dumb-luck victory on easy) and the level spawned me in a room filled with poison gas that you needed to go a half-dozen tiles to get out of. "lololol, you're dead now!" That's just bad game design, no two ways about it.
Pretty strong on the "Not Recommended," especially because runs take long enough that you'll be well out of the refund period by the time you realize how deep the flaws are. (My Easy difficulty victory took me over 3 hours)

游戏直接上手高难度 可能有点容易死，但是建议不要放弃，我估计很多人在一开始误以为自己看透了这个游戏（说的就是我，甚至给了差评，连夜删掉了）。这个游戏的深度 广度 和 机制 都是顶级的匠心精神。玩的时候建议直接打开 jupiter hell的fantom wiki 看一下。每个关卡虽然都是 选terminal道路，但是每个道路都有自己的独特机制。这种硬核的rogue like给制作者填充内容 留下了巨大的空间，以至于目前wiki的内容也属于少有的丰富。
The game is tricky in the first place, easy to die, but do not give up. The game's mechanism is fascinating, well-designed and polished. It is suggested to open jupiter hell fantom wiki to play with it. Although it looks like a random choice of branches/terminal, each side way gets its unique mechanism. Such hard coded rogue-like just gives the DEV a tremendous amount of space to fill in content -> leads to a huge amount of wiki to enjoy.

Steam workshop does not effect achievement unlock. So use it and play back the vanilla when you want to. I am just capable of finishing nightmare! vanilla level once, the other two difficulty left is not in my handling to go. Use the mod like starting with one unique weapon etc to comfort yourself.
讲回到游戏，回合制射击游戏，类roguelike。战斗机制看着简单，其实挺复杂的，这个不多聊了，大家玩的多了自己去查wiki，闪避的计算，伤害类型和护甲的区别。但是 其实怪物的种类并不算多，制作组单纯凭 发挥想象力 设计了各种有代入感的关卡机制，比如第一大关Callisto的Callisto Rift分支branch，所有毒气扭开，虽然地图上全部都是敌我不分的移动毒气，但是到最后的独特房间能拿到一个永久免疫毒的buff。第三大关IO的Shadow Halls,每一层往祭坛里丢高级装备 会加大独特房间的怪物难度，打赢了以后收到远古ancient奖励也越多，比如永久50%免疫出血/火焰的药剂，永久加伤害10%的药剂之类。有时候这一关的独特房间拿到的物品也许到下一关的独特房间/工作台 能换成其他奖励。所以真正攻克原版难度的时候，有一种虽然不确定能不能达成，努力规划自己的build（技能树，武器装备 以及 buff）的快感，偶尔刷出特别切合的武器也非常开心。

You may check wiki for how to calculate dodge, type of damage/armor etc. The overall type of monsters is not too much, but the DEV totally ♥♥♥♥ their way out by designing all kinds of interesting branch mechanism. For instance, in the first Moon Callisto - Callisto Rift branch, if you open all the valves on each level, which makes map dangerous floated with moving toxic gas, in the end, the special room will give you a permanent buff of immune to toxic. Or the third moon IO - Shadow halls branches, sacrifice equipment into the altar will increase the final difficulty of special room, but it may ends with more rewards like 50% permanent-resist fire/bleed, or 10% overall damage+. The item/buff you get on this moon's specail room can interact into other special reward of the following moon. So when you try get vanilla game, it is really satisfying to build your skill tree/map plan, meanwhile the unique/exotic weapon suiting your build get spawned.

It is totally DEV's fault that this game did not get a good sale. Too busy with the code, losing player because of the easy dead at the start-up. At first I thought this is just a boring game with DOOM skin, never expect it to be such mother f***ing good.

good but lacking some QoL that other games in the genre have
Great game! I like the turn-based vulgar little roguelike game this is! I'm sad they dropped Linux support outright, but it still works fine with proton, so I'm not too upset. I bought the game because it had Linux support, but because I liked the idea of what this game was from their videos. Turns out, it's also pretty fun, too!
I can’t speak to the replayability or longevity yet but so far this is really fun. I died a few minutes into my first run and then made it to the end on my second attempt. It took about 2.5 hours to reach the end on Easy.
The perks, weaponry, and some environments remind me of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. It feels really good to get a good set of weapons and perks and then mow down a bunch of enemies. I like the randomized weapon mods, the ability to apply mods directly, and the rare uniques in the latter levels.
I look forward to playing much more of this game.

I'm not very used to permadeath so it can be really frustrating at times but eventually you get the hang of it.
Excellent roguelike. Turn-based, yet fast paced. It has the depth you would expect from a classic RL, but is more accessible than the likes of NetHack due to its modern polish.

I really like the different possible play styles that are possible. There are three classes and each class has at least a few different kind of play styles you could choose from. You could dual wield pistols, do a shotgun/chainsaw run, chaingun build, etc.
The rules and mechanics of the game are easy to understand and quick to learn (solid tutorial). It's a unique game that puts a fun spin on a top down "first person shooter". Play as fast or slow as you'd like to, the turn based feels very fluid.
I bounced off this years ago when I first picked it up, but revising it now, it's really clicking with me. Always been one of those games I wanted to enjoy and put more time into, but struggled to because of the difficulty.

Excellent. Difficult. Varied. Fast-paced. Multitude of builds. If you want shooting in your roguelikes, there's few options that can compare with it.
Imagine Doom's setting, weapons, and bad guys. Now make it rogue-like, top-down, and turn based. Incredibly addictive and one of the very few rogue-like games that truly understand what the genre is about: death can come for you at any instant, even when you're having a good run. You have to adapt your tactics and builds based on what items, weapons, and levels you encounter.
10/10, an online friend highly recommended me this and I would easily recommend Jupiter Hell to any gamer that loves Doom, turn based, and doesn't mind the thrill of overcoming deadly challenges.
Jupiter Hell es un shooter roguelike por turnos muy rapido (casi que ni parece por turnos). Tengo entendido que este juego nacio como un mod para Doom en su dia y se nota mucho esa influencia y esencia.
En general lo recomiendo, creo que es un buen juego en general y el gameplay unico es suficiente motivo como para darle una oportunidad, pero siempre sabiendo que, mas alla de este gameplay unico, el juego realmente no tiene demasiado que ofrecer.
Engaging
If the idea of a 1.5hr X-com mission with multiple levels and different possible builds appeals to you, then you would probably enjoy this game. Be aware that it is pretty unforgiving and has a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you will really enjoy it. Great replayability and hours of fun.

This is a very good game. Small but well designed with few nice ideas behind. It is quite tactical, but also bit brutal. Permadeath is permadeath. One mistake may end your run and you have to start again from scratch. Few levels of difficulty make up for this in a way. I like visuals: rough, old-school'ish, but actually quite nice.
There are only few things that I didnt enjoy fully:
- controls - game is somewhat counterintuitive in how things work, and UI is not helping but it is a matter of spending some time in the game
- no metaprogression - while I accept that game was supposed to be brutal, I'd like to have something to make mu runs matter - like unlocking new weapons, characters, maps or skills after reaching milestone or whatever. Im not saying that meta is a must - it is certainly not a must, but could add something extra.
By the way: game weights only few 100's of mbs - in times where even very small games pile easily weight few gbs it was nice to get game that good and that small (no matter how big SSD I have, it always ends cramped with games that I dont play but promise myself to play in few days time...).
First of all the good. This game is a turn based rougelike, not rougelite. But the most innovative aspect about this game is that combat and movement feel so fast, that it blurs the lines between turn based and action. When the game gets intense you can slow down and take more time to think on your turns, and as you get better, you can execute your moves so fast that it does not feel turn based when you are in the zone. its way more fast paced then a JRPG or CRPG, its turns move faster than your average deck builder as well. This really makes the game stand out. That being said, I have put about 25 hours into this game, and I may spend some more time with it here and there, as it's a good pick up and play experience. however compared to another game that has this similar game play that blurs the line between turn based and live action "Shogun Showdown", I have to say I put 120 hours into Showdown. That being said, This game has atmosphere, and a bangin ass heavy metal sound track that amps you up, and it's full of critical choices to be made as rapid fire as you want to make them. enemy turns essentially occur at the same time as you input your turns action which makes this game feel like you never have to wait for an opponent to take a turn, that is what makes this game very distinct. I"m likely going to give this game another go on a harder difficulty. I beat it on easy, and my run lasted about 2 hours. I do reccomend this joint. It's the bomb son

Игра без претензий и замашек на какие то там лавры артистичности или повествования.
С первых секунд тебе заявляют - это - Рогалик, где герой-матерщинник (эдакий аналог Дум-гая) идеть раздавать по щщам всяким демонам, хаос-маринам и роботам заодно (ну чтобы ИИ не расслаблялся) под хороший музыкальный аккомпанемент и с кровью, кишками и всем чем надо.
За казалось бы простецким геймплеем кроется приличная глубина механик и вариантов прокачки. Очень хорошо соблюден концепт Risk/Reward. То есть рискуешь идти по альтернативному пути где в 2 раза больше демонов и могут кончиться патроны? Окей, в конце получаешь пушку которая этих демонов ваншотит.
Сложность на уровне. Пройти игру просто бегая по коридорам и нажимая кнопки не получится - очень легко оказаться в патовой ситуации, без необходимых ресурсов (вроде аптечек).
То есть Сложно - это действительно Сложно а не "ну здесь где то на 5% подкрутили"
Если хочется отдохнуть от фэнтэзийных рогаликов и real-time закликивания - добро пожаловать. Игра часто бывает на скидке в 70% - за эти деньги вообще топ.

Instantly loved it! As an Old F'ing Gamer, It slams Rogue and Doom together but in a multiplicative manor, not additive. The sum is greater than the parts. Definitely some Duke Nuke'm in there as well. It is a modern day classic throwback. Thank you for making this game! Huge replay value, not a massive time sink to enjoy. Perfection!
I remember buying a copy of the game Rogue (yes, the OG) at Radio Shack. I think fondly on hauling my desktop sporting a 486 cpu, 16 MB or RAM, Matrox Millennium 2D graphics card and a sound blaster 16 to null modem Doom gaming sessions with my college buddy Andy. Basically a direct serial cable connection between our two desktops with a null modem adapter to enable it all to work. Along with dragging the CRT monitor around. Took up the whole back seat of my car.
バンバン撃ちあうターン制ローグライク。ターン制なのに爽快で面白かった。
ビルドが完成するまでいかに多彩な武器をやりくりして生き延び、レベルをあげていく。最後はローグライクらしくプレイヤーのスキル＝知識が武器となる。
ビルドが完成しても安心できない緊張感と集中力が何とか続くほど良いゲームボリュームです。
本当にうまくまとまった傑作ガンシューティングローグライクです。
Наиграл много часов (на 11 платиновых медалей и 2 алмазные), просто играл в оффлайне.
Очень кратко - это похоже на DoomRL, но во много раз круче.
В DoomRL я тоже наиграл много часов, прошел там почти всё что не требовало найтмара. В итоге там у меня было три основные тактики:
- стрелять за угол потому что из-за ЛОС монстры в тебя выстрелить не могут (билд за шотган)
- стрелять в темноту и слушать звук (а с появлением неограниченных патронов - просто стрелять в темноту до очистки уровня) (билд за пулемет)
- ну и отдельное веселье - билд за берсерка, когда сначала ныкаешься по углам а потом впадаешь в ярость и кромсаешь всё что движется
Кроме того:
- весь инвентарь забит броней и артефактами которые жалко выкинуть, на патроны места не остается.
- ненавижу бочки, ненавижу кислоту, монстр выстрелил и утопил в лаве артефакт который я не успел рассмотреть.
Что изменилось в Jupiter Hell:
- точно также стреляешь за угол, но теперь не чувствуешь себя читером - это нормальная система укрытий, которой пользуются и монстры и которую надо научиться эффективно использовать
- стрелять в темноту стало бесполезно почти во всех случаях и уж точно не может служить основной тактикой
- берсерк стал разнообразнее, в скаутской версии теперь это кровавые попрыгушки из огня в полыме.
- броню и пушки теперь не потаскаешь, так что инвентарь забит используемыми предметами
- лавы нет, лут не уничтожается взрывами, в общем оказуалили конечно этот момент, но я только рад.
Ну и помимо этого:
- графон как в каком-нибудь пое, взрывы плазма кровища. Вот музыка мне показалась хуже оригинальной, но это видимо синдром утенка.
- перки стали разнообразными и сбалансированы так что каждый заметно влияет на геймплей, стиль игры за 3 класса теперь отличается сильнее чем за разные билды одного класса, монстры тоже могут удивить своими способностями.
- куча новых режимов и челленджей, интересные события на уровнях, прочитай сообщения в терминале чтоб выбрать в какой бранч идти.
Интересных билдов (ака мастер-трейтов) стало больше. Я освоил скаута-берсерка, скаута-снайпера, пехотинца с дробовиком, два пистолетных билда (за скаута и за пехотинца, оба круты хотя оба очень разные), инженера с двумя ножами, инженера который окопался и инженера который жжёт. Ну и инженера который просто осторожен, т.к. одну из медалек надо было проходить без мастер-трейта. Осталось еще примерно столько же мастер-трейтов которые я "не осилил".
В общем если в DoomRL я прошел всё что можно кроме найтмара, то тут взялся все-таки и за найтмар. Этот режим ощущается как совсем другая игра, вместо планомерной зачистки теперь по каждой комнате надо пройти в идеале не больше одного раза, но с другой стороны заметно это в самом начале (когда любой воскрешенный опасен) и ближе к концу (когда убиваешь медузу и понимаешь что с воскрешенной встречаться совсем не хочешь), в середине игры патронов хватает и можно всех завалить а потом еще раз завалить.
А для тех кто категорически не готов к найтмару есть еще Gauntlet - когда планомерно зачищаешь никуда не спеша, но сложность растет так быстро что никакого найтмара не надо.

I didn't like the keyboard setup much. They have a mouse controls mode too, but it is experimental and not that great. So definitely better for those that want to play with keyboard only, which is just not my cup of tea.
Easy to pick up and play, while being hard to master. Has lots of fun builds to try out, interesting challenges and trials. Often, I have to stop myself from playing because it is too addicting and satisfying.
Only drawback is, I'm not crazy about needing the wiki for planning routes, but thankfully the Hellpedia mod puts it in-game.

В цілому грається нормально, але загалом вона мало залежить від тактики гравця. Бойова система дуже примітивна (як і графіка з анімаціями). Якщо подобається відчуття постійного прогресу, як у клікерах, коли постійно стаєш сильнішим завдяки прокачці та збору дедалі потужнішої зброї, то може зайти. Плюс є певна атмосфера.
Але якщо очікуєш від покрокової механіки якихось цікавих тактичних маневрів, а від гри - різноманіття та різних підходів до проходження, то цього тут нема.

This game is addictive. Current run has provided some kick ass gear and running through the levels demolishing most in my line. Looking forward to the next round of weapons and gear, the deeper one goes down the rabbit hole. A worthwhile and easy recommendation.
Very classic Roguelike, turn-based dungeon crawler with randomized runs. Takes a bit to understand what's going on, but when it clicks it flows VERY well. Very challenging on first playthrough, but once it clicks you can fly through - so much so that there are a ton of optional challenge modes available!

・・・と完全に中身はDOOMである
もともとDRL(DOOM RogueLike)として開発されていたものであるので、さもありなん
ローグライクとしても、銃撃戦がメイン、グリッドベースながらも弾薬/インベントリ管理・ポジショニング/カバーリング・リロードのタイミングが大事という点で中々ユニーク。 (近接攻撃もちゃんとある)
斜め移動がなく、4方向のみの移動となっているのもテンポ良くサクサク遊べる。
Perkシステムもあり、いろんなビルドが楽しめるのも◎
武器にMODが付いてたり、ユニーク武器・レリックも色々用意されていて色々掘るのも楽しい
まあ何も考えずに悪魔をミンチにしつつミンチにされるといいよ！

It's like nethack but much better graphics. Different character classes offer replayability without getting bored. Developers are very active.
Never thought a turn based rogue like would play so fast you forget it's actually turn based! Fantastic game.
Game goes rough, deep and surprisingly fair, once you learn the rules.
Sometimes it is brutal, sometimes it is hilarious, sometimes you just get outmatched.
It is true roguelike and the only meta progression you have is your own brain and adaptability :)

정통 턴제 로그라이크 스타일 게임이지만 플레이 도중엔 의외로 속도감도 느껴지고 재미있음
(하지만 한 판에 걸리는 시간이 짧진 않음)
여러운 난이도는 많이 준비되어 있지만 도전과제는 적당한 난이도까지만 존재하는 것도 개인적으로는 호감 포인트

哈哈换个难度感觉在玩潜行完全不敢随便杀了，掩体很重要，covermaster给的效果太有用了，用marine点上hellrunner蹲不住就跑，后期不点弹药技能一定要及时更换武器，能量武器是优质选择因为后面的怪还会掉但是子弹基本是只能靠可怜的几个箱子给，multitool基本全用来修护甲了，该换甲就得换护甲修不过来的。一定要暴力破门！不要开门！不要开门！
还有那个大教堂关很危险，用枪的玩法进了shadow hall支线到大教堂大概率就只能高呼吾命休矣然后被怪淹死。这个支线很缺弹药，玩的少没通过这个关，目前不知道奖励，感觉是非常不值的。

Jupiter Hell is a truly excellent game, an "almost modern" version of a true traditional roguelike that gets straight to the point, without fuss and with plenty of challenge.
It has a high quality of life, interesting items, enemies, and maps, plenty of challenge, and high replayability.
Congratulations to the devs for creating a traditional roguelike of unparalleled quality. They're also now working on Jupiter Hell Classic, which is still in Early Access but already very promising. It already has very worthwhile content. Neither game takes away from the desire to play the other, because despite having similar contexts, their differences give each one a very interesting uniqueness!

Just lost my first run (which lasted 2 hours), and this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slaps! It asks the question, "What if 90s Doom was a classic turn-based roguelike?", and turns out it works! It's tactical yet fast-paced, involving moment to moment without being a big mental load. Great game to unwind to at the end of the last few demanding days I've just had. It seems like a roguelike that has twists and secret, and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of it. I jumped right into my second run!
It's a roguelike game with just the right oldschool atmosphere, music and mindless action.
It's exactly what it says on the tin: turn based, roguelike Doom. I've not gotten very far yet, but I'm enjoying the ride.

Наиграв в пиратскую версию этой игры в общем счету 6 часов, мне надоело. Да, игра динамичная, особенно когда выходишь на 2-3 уровень с дробовиком. Да, интересная местами. НО!
Как только ты умираешь, тебе придётся начинать сначала. Я имею ввиду убивать абсолютно тех же противников, играть на абсолютно такой же карте, с тем лишь различием, что выберешься ты не с первого раза - с 1 уровня выбраться вообще трудновато из-за дисбаланса.
Разнообразия врагов как такового нет - всего 4 класса, если не ошибаюсь.
Ужасная раскладка, причем на мышку ничего поставить нельзя. Короче хз. На один вечер игра. Своих денег стоит, но лишь по скидке
Great game. It scratches an itch for roguelikes I've had plus keeping it DOOM-adjacent enough for me to come back, the OST is top notch too. Hope it comes out soon

銃器をフィーチャーしており移動も上下左右の4方向だけなので不安だったが、プレイ感は想像していたよりもはるかに正統派のターンベースローグライクであり傑作。流行りに乗ったのではなく制作陣が伝統的なローグライクゲームを理解しているのがしっかり伝わる。
ローカライズが機械翻訳とかいうレベルではなく驚異的に[b]クソ[/b]だが、込み入ったストーリーがあるわけでもなく、スキルや武器の説明は簡潔なので簡単な英語力で十分。

Imagine turn based game but it's fast paced. Very very good.
This is a fun game, with a very Doom-like setting with some 90's run-and-gun flair.
The particular turn-based movement and auto-aim firing is quite different, but works.
While the control scheme was a little strange to begin with, it didn't take too long to get used to it.
The different guns are interesting, but I found myself defaulting to things with lots of ammo and range.
Shotguns feel awkward, and have yet to try out the melee.
Overall, I would recommend it. I did get it on sale, so that may have influenced my opinion.
Well I guess it's about time to write this review. Great game, you will die a lot in ways that will appear random and meaningless to you but over time these deaths will transform you and you will start to pick up on signs that will preceed your deaths, become wily and cunning, reload after every fight, tiptoe back out of empty rooms with three closed doors, shoot out doors from a distance, wait before advancing to ambush your pursuers, strategically clear the map and probably work out a good build (or ten, there are endless combinations). And that way you get to Nightmare difficulty where you don't have time for all that and go with the flow, or think your way through it step by step, whatever your style is. It goes on after that but I am not ready for the higher challenges yet.
An excellent, criminally underrated classic roguelike with a focus on action and fast-paced runs with no sacrifice to depth and replayability. Stuffed with content and well worth the price; did I mention how it's Doom Roguelike with the serial numbers filed off?
Expect a challenge and really engaging with the systems to even have a chance.
Wooo! This is a blast! Great turn-based roguelite with a great setting! I am just scratching the surface and I really enjoy the gameplay loop.
I started my gaming journey on a DOS-driven 486. The stakes were low, the graphics were terrible, and the biggest challenge was remembering the executable command just to launch the game. I’ve been an addict from the start, but it was the kind of addiction that felt like chugging a warm can of Jolt Cola—cheap, fizzy, and good for a 90-second sugar high before dying in a pixelated leisure suit or being eaten by a Grue.
That was also when I stumbled into the roguelike rabbit hole. From a five-and-a-quarter-inch floppy loaded with Moria to the time-honored chaos of NetHack, roguelikes were a blast—even if they now feel like dusty relics from a time most modern gamers barely remember (if they were even alive).
Fast forward to today, and roguelikes have mutated. While many are just pixel-polished rehashes of their ASCII ancestors, Jupiter Hell is a whole different beast. It’s not just a game—it’s a substance abuse problem wrapped in techno-industrial design, deep upgrade trees, and an unholy amount of blood and guts. It’s heroin in code form. You die. You restart. You die again. You tell yourself, “Just one more run,” and suddenly it’s 3 a.m., your eyes are dry, and you’re emotionally invested in a tiny character who talks ♥♥♥♥ every time you try to reload without ammo.
All this while you’re grappling with the existential realization that there was once a time before controllers—when your survival depended entirely on a keyboard and blind faith.
The point? Jupiter Hell is amazing. Buy it. Lose sleep. You’ll thank me later.
